En s'appuyant sur l'esthétique et l'éthique du normatif (Hamon), c'est-à-dire sur les rapports à la fois génétiques et polémiques entre le poétique et le politique, l'article montre comment le roman africain, par la scénarisation des procès fictifs, entame la forteresse d'une Tradition asservissante et disqualifie le pouvoir politique dictatorial dont l'arme première consiste à " rogner les ailes de la justice " dans toutes ses acceptions (U'Tam'si). Par des revirements spectaculaires où les juges, quand ils ne fuient pas, se retrouvent sur le banc des accusés, les deux romans abordés, Les cancrelats de Tchicaya U'Tam'si et Giambatista Viko ou le viol du discours africain de Mbwil a Mpang Ngal amorcent un projet démocratique dont les contours restent cependant incertains et précaires.

Lors de cette intervention au séminaire de psychopathologie clinique, organisé par le psychiatre Evelyne Hechner et le psychologue Olivier Douville au CHS de Ville Évrard, consacré à “Littérature et psychiatrie : soigner oui… mais pas sans littérature”, l’intervenant se demande ce que l’on sait, aujourd’hui, du destin des enfants nés du ventre des femmes tondues (encore appelées « collaboratrices de sexe » par la réglementation) et précise la nature des liens établis avec les occupants. Il retrace le destin de l’un de ces enfants, Emma Santos, jeune femme devenue écrivaine par nécessité, pour sa survie. Cette dernière vie aux prises avec la stigmatisation de ses parents (un couple franco-allemand), et aux prises avec les mouvements féministes d’alors comme le procès contre le viol de Bobigny, le procès en faveur de l’avortement de Perpignan, et le différend entre F. Giroud et S. Veil (loi Veil en 1975) où la petite histoire a donné naissance à la grande. Tous ces éléments font de cette femme une résistante qui a su utiliser sa folie et recourir à la psychiatrie pour en défendre le statut. Emma Santos se déclare littéromane et nous dit, par la voix de ses huit ouvrages ainsi que par ses représentations théâtrales, qu’elle est contenue par la folie, et que cette dernière est de la littérature même. Comment ne pas interroger la dimension politique de la psychiatrie ? L’auteur s’efforce de répondre à cette question avec tact.

Résumé Transformant la structure linguistique en procès et les oppositions en positions dans un continuum, le paramètre du temps opératif fait de la psychomécanique une théorie mentaliste et énonciative. Son revers est que la durée, substrat des opérations mentales, est corvéable à merci. Les guillaumiens tendent à abuser de cette facilité, en y référant des différences de sens qui résultent en fait de la combinatoire discursive : d’où une polysémie généralisée qui viole la fonction sémiologique et alourdit les composantes morphologique et syntaxique. La nécessaire réaction est amorcée.

L’étude sur l’exception d’inconstitutionnalité, soulevée lors du procès dit de cent jours ayant impliqué notamment Monsieur Vital Kamerhe, Directeur de Cabinet et allié du Président de la République, a démontré que la réponse du juge de céans a, autant par la procédure employée que par les arguments avancés, violé les dispositions de l’article 162 de la Constitution qui consacre ce moyen. En tant que moyen « d’ordre public », l’exception d’inconstitutionnalité est à la fois un moyen de droit et un incident de procédure. Il s’agit d’un incident de constitutionnalité. La procédure qui lui est prescrite exige la surséance et la saisine de la Cour constitutionnelle « toutes affaires cessantes ». Par ailleurs, comme l’a jugé la Cour constitutionnelle elle-même, battant ainsi en brèche la procédure et l’argumentaire du juge de céans dudit procès, « (…) la question prioritaire préjudicielle est invoquée, non pas in limine litis, mais à toute hauteur de procédure, ce moyen étant d’ordre public, et qui, après surséance renvoie à la Cour constitutionnelle (…) ».

Krajem 19. i početkom 20. stoljeća došlo je do pojačanoga iseljavanja Hrvata na Novi Zeland zbog političkih i ekonomskih zbivanja u Domovini. Autor skupia się na omówieniu klasycznych i współczesnych inscenizacji dramatów muzycznych Ryszarda Wagnera, realizowanych przez mistrzów kina i nawiązujących do teorii oraz praktyki niemieckiego kompozytora, swoimi pracami niejako przepowiadającego istnienie kina i myślącego kategoriami estetycznymi rozwijanymi później przez twórców X muzy. Inscenizacje dzieł Wagnerowskich są swego rodzaju spłatą długu Wagnerowi i nie tyle rekonstruują świat wizualno-muzycznych wizji twórcy Lohengrina, wykorzystując język filmu, ile po prostu wypełniają postulat niemieckiego kompozytora o stworzeniu dzieła „totalnego”. W tekście są omówione wagnerowskie inscenizacje takich mistrzów kina, jak Eisenstein, Visconti, Chéreau, Syberberg i Bill Viola, którzy w swych poszukiwaniach artystycznych realizowali idee Gesamtkunstwerku. Kletowski ukazuje proces „ufilmowienia” współczesnej sztuki operowej (przede wszystkim dzieł Wagnera, choć nie tylko), która na zasadzie „transakcji zwrotnej” wpływa również na kształt współczesnej X muzy, nierzadko nawiązującej do wzorców operowych.

Alors que la mythologie du viol construit ce crime comme un événement extraordinairecausé par un inconnu déviant, cette thèse propose une conceptualisation du « violordinaire » à partir de trois critères : la relation de proximité entre la victime etl’auteur, la situation de quotidienneté et l’intimité entre les deux individus. Le conceptde viol ordinaire, loin de banaliser les violences de genre, permet de dévoiler lesmécanismes hétéronormés à l’oeuvre dans la (re)production des violences sexuelles,dans le sillage des théorisation féministes américaines du « date rape » des années1980. À partir des savoirs expérientiels de cinq femmes recueillis lors d’entretienssemi-directifs, ce travail de recherche analyse les injustices épistémiques que cesvictimes subissent lorsqu’elles cherchent à qualifier, témoigner et dénoncer leur viol(injustices herméneutiques, testimoniales, agentielles, silenciation, etc.).L’épistémologie féministe du positionnement a permis de se décentrer dessignifications pénales de ce qui rend justice et des comportements déterminés par lafigure de la « victime idéale ». En effet les attentes de justice épistémique identifiéesne correspondent pas aux logiques et finalités pénales, qu’il s’agisse, pour lesvictimes, de nommer l’événement à l’aune du continuum de la violence sexuelle, defaire le récit du viol et de ses conséquences sans que leur crédibilité ne soit évaluée,d’être reconnue en tant que victime sans devoir performer des normes stéréotypéesou de confronter l’homme qui a commis le viol pour obtenir des réponses à leursquestions. Cette thèse montre que le paradigme de la justice réparatrice est à mêmede répondre à ces attentes normatives par les espaces de dialogue et d’écouteinconditionnelle qu’il propose. À partir d’un travail de terrain réalisé au Québec au seind’un réseau de justice réparatrice extra-judiciaire, cette recherche démontre que lamédiation relationnelle observée permet aux victimes de se réapproprier leuragentivité épistémique, radicalement niée pendant le viol
While rape mythology constructs this crime as an extraordinary event caused by adeviant stranger, this thesis proposes a conceptualisation of 'ordinary rape' based onthree criteria: the relationship of proximity between the victim and the perpetrator,the everyday situation and the intimacy between the two individuals. Far fromtrivialising gender-based violence, the concept of ordinary rape reveals theheteronormative mechanisms at work in the (re)production of sexual violence, in thewake of the American feminist theories of 'date rape' in the 1980s. Based on theexperiential knowledge of five women gathered in semi-directive interviews, thisresearch analyses the epistemic injustices that these victims suffer when they seek todescribe, testify about and denounce their rape (hermeneutic, testimonial, agentialinjustices, silencing, etc.). The standpoint theory has made it possible to move awayfrom the penal meanings of what makes for justice and from behaviours determinedby the figure of the 'ideal victim'. The expectations of epistemic justice identified donot correspond to the logic and aims of the criminal justice system, whether it is amatter of victims naming the event according to the continuum of sexual violence,recounting the rape and its consequences without having their credibility assessed,being recognised as a victim without having to perform stereotyped norms, orconfronting the man who committed the rape to obtain answers to their questions.This thesis shows that the restorative justice paradigm is able to meet thesenormative expectations through the spaces for dialogue and unconditional listeningthat it offers. Based on fieldwork carried out in Quebec within an extra-judicialrestorative justice network, this research shows that the relational mediation observedenables victims to reclaim their epistemic agency, which was radically denied duringthe rape

Le 21 mars 2001, la loi relative aux droits des victimes d'infraction pénale 2001-5751 est adoptée. Fruit des mouvements féministes et des associations d'aide aux victimes, cette loi marque la reconnaissance par les institutions judiciaires et législatives de la nécessité d'adopter des droits en faveur des victimes d'infraction pénale en général et d'agression sexuelle en particulier. Elle institue, entre autres, le droit au respect, l'accès à l'information durant la procédure, la défense de la vie privée et le droit à la sécurité (face aux accusés ou à leur famille) des victimes d'infraction. Par ailleurs, cette loi énonce que les victimes d'agression sexuelle bénéficient de droits qui leurs sont propres, notamment celui de présenter leur avis à certains stades de la procédure pénale. Pourtant, cette loi ne possède pas de portée juridique obligatoire. La victime d'infraction pénale reste à l'écart de la justice pénale israélienne, sans véritable rôle autre que celui de témoin. Ce faible rôle de la victime semble reposer sur la particularité du système pénal israélien, qui respecte la tradition accusatoire. Selon ce modèle, le procès pénal oppose deux parties, l'accusation et la défense, qui doivent répondre d'un conflit devant une institution judiciaire impartiale, appelée à trouver la vérité à partir de la présentation de leurs arguments et de leurs preuves. Dans ce contexte, la victime n'est pas partie. Ce modèle s'oppose à la tradition inquisitoire, dans laquelle, la présence d'un juge actif participant à l'instruction et d'un juge de l'audience impartial et indépendant semble plus favorable à la participation de la victime. Pourtant, l'influence de ces modèles est moindre que par le passé, tout d'abord parce qu'il n'existe plus de système purement accusatoire ou inquisitoire, ensuite parce que les systèmes judiciaires respectant la tradition accusatoire dans leur pays ont adapté leur structure aux intérêts de la justice, mais aussi aux droits des victimes, notamment grâce à l'intégration des notions de procès équitable et de Due Process of Law. En Israël, cette évolution est plus mitigée. Ainsi, si le système judiciaire israélien reconnaît la victime comme sujet de la procédure, dans la pratique la rencontre avec les acteurs judiciaires est loin d'être facile, tout particulièrement lorsqu'il s'agit d'une victime d'agression sexuelle. En effet, ce type d'infraction repose souvent sur des préjugés et des stéréotypes contre les femmes. Le parcours de la victime d'agression sexuelle commence par le dépôt de plainte et la rencontre avec la police. Il se poursuit par la rencontre avec le procureur durant la phase d'enquête. N'étant pas représentée, c'est souvent seule ou assistée de simples bénévoles qu'elle se présente devant les acteurs de la justice. Lorsque la plainte n'est pas classée sans suite, le parcours de la victime continue par la rencontre avec le(s) juge(s) au cours du procès, durant lequel elle est interrogée par le procureur et contre-interrogée par l'avocat de l'accusé. Cette étape représente une nouvelle épreuve, et peut provoquer une victimisation secondaire, notamment lorsque l'avocat de l'accusé tente de la déstabiliser par ses questions. Ce parcours se termine par la sentence et par l'obtention, si la cour compétente le décide, d'une indemnisation au profit de la victime. L'enfant-victime bénéficie d'une procédure spécifique adaptée à ses besoins. Pourtant, qu'elle soit adulte ou enfant, la victime reste passive et subordonnée aux autres acteurs judiciaires pratiquement à toutes les étapes de la procédure. La victime d'agression sexuelle pourra-t-elle trouver une place active dans le cadre de la procédure pénale traditionnelle ? L'influence des autres systèmes juridiques qui ont su s'adapter pour intégrer le droit des victimes, et l'émergence de nouvelles pratiques telles que la justice restaurative pourraient permettre une évolution concernant le traitement de la victime d'agression sexuelle
On the 21st of March 2001, the "Rights of Victims of Crime Law", which acknowledges the existence of victims in the criminal procedure, was passed. This law, which is the fruit of the intervention of the feminist and the human rights movement, finally recognizes the necessity of granting rights to victim of crime in general, and the victim of sexual offences in particular. The "Rights of Victims of Crime Law" included a series of rights for victims during the different stages of the criminal proceedings such as free access to information, the protection of their privacy and the right to be protected inside and outside of the court from intimidation by offenders and their families. Likewise, victims of sexual offences may receive information, and express their opinions, under specific conditions at different stages during the trial and in cases where a plea bargain is struck between the offender and the prosecutor. Despite this new law, the victim's participation in the process remains symbolic. The victim remains on the sidelines of the Israeli criminal justice system, with no active role at any stage of the criminal process. The only real players are the public prosecutor, the accused and his or her lawyers. It seems at first glance that the fact that the victim does not participate in the criminal process is based on the characteristics of the Israeli criminal system as an adversarial system. As an adversarial system of law, the Israeli criminal system consists of two parties only, which are equal: the prosecution and the accused seeking to resolve a dispute before a passive judge, interested in discovering the procedural truth. In this system, there are two parties, the defense and the prosecution, the victims only representation being as a witness. However, we have seen that during the last thirty years, in countries utilizing a similar legal system, a clear evolution in victims' rights based on the Due Process of Law and a fair trial for the accused and for the victims of sexual abuse. In some of these countries, victims have profited from an effective role during the proceedings. The journey of the victims of sexual offences in the criminal court, from the filling of a complaint with the police, to the meeting with the prosecutor and judges, until the sentence, is not easy, considering that he or she is not represented by a lawyer. Moreover, the domain of sexual offences is laden with stereotypes that the victims have to deal with. If "The Rights of Victims of Crime Law", try to ease the process for victims, the victims' participation is weak and depends on the will of the prosecutor. Moreover, the opinion of the victim does not have any bounding value. In fact, this law does not provide standing or remedies for victims rights violation. The traditional Israeli criminal system does not satisfy the need for victims of sexual assault to express human feelings during the stages of the criminal process, and may lead in certain case to secondary victimisation. Therefore, it is interesting to consider if the Israeli criminal prooceedings could be influenced by other systems of law which have succeeded in granting effective rights to victims, and whether the social and juridical evolution of Israeli society might offer progressively a forum to victims, notably with the utilization of restorative justice

This work deals with the principles and compositional techniques employed in Cantoria, for ten-string Viola Sertaneja and String Orchestra, composed of three movements, with approximate duration of 14 minutes. The work uses a compositional language developed from stylistic, melodic and rhythmic elements from Cantoria de Viola Nordestina. In the musical discourse of the first two movements, the viola sertaneja and the string orchestra are treated as distinct dramatis personae that interact with each other in several ways simulating certain acoustic effects through orchestration. In the third movement, they interplay according to the principle contained in the Desafio (kind of Cantoria de Viola).
Este trabalho se refere aos princípios e técnicas composicionais empregados na peça Cantoria, para Viola Sertaneja de 10 cordas e Orquestra de Cordas, composta de três movimentos, com duração total aproximada de 14min. A obra utiliza uma linguagem composicional desenvolvida a partir de elementos estilísticos, melódicos e rítmicos da Cantoria de Viola Nordestina. No discurso musical dos dois primeiros movimentos, a viola sertaneja e a orquestra de cordas são tratadas como dramatis personae distintas que interagem mutuamente de diversas formas simulando determinados efeitos acústicos através de recursos de orquestração. No terceiro movimento, elas se contrapõem baseadas no princípio da disputa contida no Desafio (modalidade da Cantoria de Viola).

SAMMANFATTNINGKandidatarbetet är en observationsstudie av kommunikationsprocesser istadsdelsomvandlingar. Arbetet undersöker hur inblandade aktörer engagerar och hurförslagen kring stadsomvandlingen berättas från ide till resultat.I kandidatarbetet utförs dokumentanalyser och observationer över enkommunikationsmodell som tidigare använts på miljonprogramsområdet Fittja söder omStockholm. Modellen, kallad Miljonprogramsklockan undersöks som en potentiellkommunikationsstrategi i miljonprogramsområden utifrån teori och tidigare projekt.Kandidatarbetet granskar fyra miljonprogramsområden som exempel. Miljonprogrammenshus utgör en stor del av den totala byggnadsmassan i Sverige och ca två tredjedelar avdessa är flerbostadshus och en majoritet är hyresrätter. Områdena är i behov av att inom de närmsta åren renoveras och rustas upp, vilket gör att det kommer skestadsdelsomvandlingar med omfattande förändringar i den byggda miljön.Teorin i kandidatarbetet använder sig utav teorier inom kommunikation av forskarna påLunds universitet Jesper Falkheimer och Mats Heides om strategisk kommunikation. Arbetet har som utgångspunkt att kommunikation måste förstås ur er ett helhetsperspektiv. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna rörande byggd miljö grundar sig i teorier och tankar av bland annat, N. John Habraken, Stuart Hall, Mattias Kärrholm och flera som gemensamt har olika perspektiv på arkitektur. Begrepp och teorier som behandlar användning och sociala relationer är centrala i kandidatarbete.
ABSTRACTThe candidate’s work is an observational study of communication processes in citytransformation. The work investigates how involved actors engage and how the proposalsfor urban transformation are told from idea to result.In the candidate’s work, document are analyzed and observations are carried out on acommunication model previously used in the Fittja million program area south of Stockholm. The model, called the Miljonprogramsklockan, is being investigated as a potential communication strategy in million program areas based on theory and previous projects.Candidate work examines four million program areas as examples. The Million Program’shouse accounts for a large part of the total building mass in Sweden and about two thirds of these are multi-family houses and a majority are tenant-owned. Inledning:Dagligen möts organisationer av situationer där de måste ta beslut. Frågan är vad som egentligen avgör vilket alternativ organisationen väljer, vilka beslutskriterier används? Ju bättre insikt den säljande organisationen har om den köpande organisationens beslutsprocess och beslutskriterier, desto bättre kan de påverka inköpsbeslutet. Inom hotellbranschen är säsongvariationen hög och för att övervinna den erbjuder vår uppdragsgivare Björkbacken Karaktärshotellet konferensmöjligheter. De behöver dock skapa förståelse för vilka kriterier potentiella konferensköpare använder sig av när de väljer konferensanläggning för att kunna attrahera fler övernattande konferensgäster. Syfte: Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att beskriva organisationers väg till beslut och vad de efterfrågar vid köp av konferenser. Det ska göras genom att utforma en modell för beslutsprocessen och empiriskt testa den. Metod: Vårt syfte har vi angripit med en i grunden positivistisk vetenskapssyn med ett deduktivt angreppssätt. Undersökningen utgörs av tvärsnittsdesign, och kvalitativa semi-strukturerade telefonintervjuer har genomförts med organisationer som har liknande profil som vår uppdragsgivare Björkbacken Karaktärshotellet nämligen; kultur, historier och berättande. Slutsats: Vår modell för organisationers beslutsprocess, Beslutsvägen, kan bekräftas. Den beskriver att beslutsprocessen startar med att organisationen blir medveten om ett behov och därefter identifieras beslutskriterier. Enligt vår studie är följande beslutskriterier viktiga; pris, tillgänglighet, lokalernas funktionalitet, omgivning, mat samt anknytningen till konferensköparens verksamhet. Då organisationer har identifierat sina beslutskriterier väljer de mellan två vägar i Beslutsvägen, Kustvägen och E6:an. Längs båda vägarna är minnen och erfarenheter en betydande del som finns med längs hela processen. Oavsett vilken av vägarna som organisationen färdas på når de till sist sin slutdestination Beslut.
Introduction: Every day organizations face situations where they must make decisions and are forced to choose between different alternatives. The question is, what determines which option the organization chooses, which decision criteria do they use? The better understanding the selling organization has for the buying organization's decision-making process and their decision criteria, the better they can influence the purchase decision. Within the hotel industry the seasonal variety is high and to overcome them our client Björkbacken Karaktärshotellet offers conference facilities. However, they do need to create a better understanding of the potential buyers’ criteria when they are choosing a conference to attract more overnight conference guests. Purpose: The purpose is to describe what organizations demand when they purchase a conference. This will be done by designing a figure of the decision-making process and empirically test the figure. Method: We have approached our purpose with a positivistic view of science and with a deductive approach. The study consists of a cross-sectional design and to collect our empirical data we have used qualitative semi-structured telephone interviews with organizations that have similar profile as our client Björkbacken Karaktärshotellet namely; culture, history and storytelling. Conclusion: Our figure of the organizations' decision-making process, the Road to Decision, can be confirmed. It describes the decision-making process starting with awareness of a need and follows by identification of decision criteria. According to our study the following decision criteria are important; price, availability, functionality, environment, food and good connections to the conference. When organizations have identified their decision criteria they choose between two paths in our figure; the Coastal Road or the freeway E6. Along the entire process memories and experiences are a significant part. No matter which of the roads the organization travels by, their final destination is the decision.

Since the viola attained soloist status in the early to mid 20^th Century, violists have been faced with the never-ending task of matching the performance standards of their more agile violin brethren. Much of the violinist's technical facility comes from their study of pre-twentieth century musical offerings; yet, the development of the viola student is handicapped by the lack of original viola repertoire from that time. More repertoire of this ilk needs to be made available as transcriptions to violists. Moreover, violists should be the ones creating these transcriptions because they know best the intricacies of the instrument. This may seem a daunting task since not all violists are experienced in composing or transcribing. Further, no standard transcribing process exists in print.

The aim of this document is to purpose a set of general guidelines for transcribing music from the violin to the viola, while isolating the various problems that can occur during that process. The Two Sonatas for Violin and Piano, as well as the Three Solo Sonatas for Violin of German composer, August Halm (1869–1929), will serve as the case study from which to build this method. While Halm is admittedly a Modern era composer, his compositional style leans more heavily on Bach, Beethoven, and Bruckner than his contemporaries. A secondary aim of this document is to inform the reader of Halm's pedagogical and theoretical opinions, and to demonstrate how they remain relevant for today's performers and students.

This research inquiry is firmly situated within the field of artistic research, where new knowledge about and within practice is gained. There are two equally weighted submission components: one being a series of sound files containing recordings of four recent Australian works for solo viola and related sonic data; the other this exegesis, which provides a context for understanding and unpacking the interpretive decisions housed in the recordings. The four works included in the research are: Liza Lim Amulet (1992), James Rushford Untitled (2012), Helen Gifford Desperation (2014) and Lisa Illean Cranes (2016, revised 2017). With each work, a particular experience stood out: learning, commissioning, performing, and recording a work. These became sites for investigation; problems to solve, choices to decipher, and musical decisions to consider. Analysis from the performer’s perspective became the potential medium through which the research could be expressed. Recent musical analysis literature that attempts to express elements of the score in the context of performance are limited in their ability to capture certain aspects of the performance by their abstract relationship to the site for analysis. In response to this gap in the literature, a goal of this research is to facilitate discourse on performance analysis and present a model of analysis that speaks to processes of the performer. This research argues that performance analysis is to be enacted by the performer, expressing their knowledge and experience of the score in the performance context. Specifically, a performance analysis of Lisa Illean’s Cranes (2016-17) in this exegesis is an embodied analysis that examines knowledge of the score that can only be to known to the performer through performing the score in real time. Examining creative processes undertaken by the performer as they work towards an interpretation reveals the ways in which the performer controls, manipulates and theorises elements of the score towards a performance. Further to this, the performer is in constant negotiation through their relationship with their instrument, the score, the composer, and the performance context. This can often lead to questions on how to navigate issues of authority and authenticity in a performance practice, as the performer determines what gives their practice meaning. When these experiences are contextualised and enter a reflective space, hierarchies are observed, strategies are developed, and greater understanding is gained.

This study aims to validate and develop applications for a novel impedance-based process analytical technology for monitoring the attributes of the product during the entire freeze-drying process (from pre-freezing and annealing to primary and then secondary drying). This measurement approach involves the application of foil electrodes, mounted externally to a conventional glass freeze-drying vial, and coupled to a high-impedance analyser. The location of the electrodes on the outside, rather than the inside of the vial, leads to a description of the technology as a through-vial impedance spectroscopy (TV-IS) technique. The principle observation from this approach is the interfacial-polarization process arising from the composite impedance of the glass wall and product interface. For a conventional glass vial (of wall thickness ~ 1 mm and cross sectional diameter ~ 22 mm) it was shown that the process is manifest within the frequency range 101 to 106 Hz, as a single, broad band peak which spans 2-3 decades of the imaginary part spectrum. Features of the interfacial-relaxation process, characterised by the peak amplitude, C″Peak, and peak frequency, fpeak, of the imaginary capacitance spectra and the equivalent circuit elements that model the impedance spectra (i.e. the solution resistance (R) and solution capacitance (C) were monitored along with the product temperature data during the cycle(s), for a variety of surrogate formulations comprising lactose, sucrose, mannitol or maltodextrin solutions, during the freezing, re-heating, annealing and primary drying stages of freeze drying). It was shown that the parameters, fpeak and R, are strongly coupled to each other and change as a function of the temperature of the solution and its phase state, whereas C″Peak is strongly coupled to the amount of ice that remains during the drying process. Both log fpeak and log R have a linear dependence on the temperature of the solution, provided there was no phase change in the solution. The crystallization process (ice onset, solidification and equilibration to shelf temperature) is characterized well by both log fpeak and log R, whereas the parameter R demonstrates most clearly the formation of eutectic crystallization during freezing. In contrast it was the parameter C which was most sensitive to the detection of the glass transition during re-heating. During primary drying, it was shown that C″peak, is dependent on the amount of ice remaining and therefore provides a convenient assessment of the rate of drying and primary drying end point. The impedance changes during annealing provide a mechanistic basis for the modifications in ice structure which result directly in the observed decrease in primary drying times. The principal observation on annealing of a 10% w/v solution of maltodextrin, was the minimal changes in the glass transition (recorded at ~−16 °C) during the re-heating and cooling step (post-annealing). This result alone appears to indicate that a maximum freeze concentration was achieved during first freezing with no further ice being formed on annealing. The phenomenon of devitrification (and the production of more ice, and hence larger ice crystals) was therefore discounted as the mechanism by which annealing impacts the drying time. Having excluded devitrification from the mechanism of annealing enhanced drying, it was then possible to conclude that the decrease in the electrical resistance (that was observed during the annealing hold time) must necessarily result from the simplified structure of the unfrozen fraction and the improved connectivity of ice crystals that may be the consequence of Ostwald ripening. The application of through vial impedance measurement approach provides a non-invasive, real time monitoring of critical process parameters which subsequently leads to an improved understanding of the mechanisms and effects of different parameters, providing a reliable basis for process optimization, along with improved risk management to ensure optimum quality of the formulation and optimization of the freeze drying process.

Syftet med arbetet är att studera min läroprocess och hur specifika övningar påverkar tekniska spelfärdigheter på instrumentet altviolin. Under en period på sex veckor har jag genomfört övningstillfällen fem gånger i veckan, 15-20 minuterspass. Jag har vidare genomfört videoinspelningar en till tre gånger i veckan. I bakgrunden presenteras litteratur och forskning om övning, spelteknik och designteoretiskt perspektiv. I metodkapitlet presenteras valt material och dokumentation. I resultatkapitlet beskrivs hur designandet av mitt lärande har gått till samt dess påverkan i min utveckling av mitt altviolinspel. Dessa bygger på mina transkiberingar av valda videoinspelningar. Resultatet visar att undersökningen har lett till framsteg i finmotorik, ergonomiskt spel, bättre intonation och färre misstag i spelet. I diskussionsdelen diskuteras resurserna samt resultat som bottnar i presenterad litteratur, tidigare forsknig och det designteoretiska perspektivet.
The purpose of this study is to investigate my learning process and how specific exercises affect the technical playing skills of the instrument viola. For a period of six weeks I have practiced technical skills on viola five times a week, 15- 20 minutes each time and recorded 1-3 of these practice sessions with a video camera. Chapter two presents literature and research on exercise, playing technique and design theory perspective. Chapter three presents selected materials and documentation. The result is described in chapter four where I explain how the design of this project has effected my technical development in violaplaying.The recordings have been transcribed by me. Results reveal that this study has given myself success in terms of ergonomic playing, better intonation and less mistakes in my playing. The recources and results are discussed in relation to previous research and relevant literature.

La entidad Provías Descentralizado (PVD) es una unidad ejecutora del Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicacione. Su misión es contribuir a la gestión descentralizada de la infraestructura vial departamental y rural a ser desarrollada por los gobiernos regionales y locales, respectivamente, implementando mecanismos técnicos, institucionales, legales y financieros que garanticen la sostenibilidad de las inversiones viales. El presente trabajo se ha desarrollado en seis secciones. En el primer y el segundo capítulo, se introduce la problemática identificada. En el tercer capítulo, se hace alusión a los conceptos básicos principales sobre los que versa el trabajo; asimismo, se definen los conceptos de ciclo de proyectos y de gestión por procesos. En el cuarto capítulo, se explica la metodología de investigación que se ha seguido para el desarrollo de la tesis las características del sujeto de estudio y las entrevistas realizadas a personal de la entidad. En el quinto capítulo, se presenta el análisis del proceso bajo estudio, antecedentes, mapeo del proceso, análisis de la muestra realizada a partir de los tiempos promedio que tarda la elaboración de estudios de preinversión en PVD, también se presenta la propuesta de mejora y la discusión entre el resultado hallado y la teoría en el marco de la presente tesis. Finalmente, se encuentran las conclusiones y las recomendaciones que se desprenden del análisis realizado.

Gut strings sound, feel and react very differently to today’s strings. At the heart of this lesson is the need for a constant two-way flow of information between the ear and the hand, for which both must be in a state of total awareness. The strings are in a constant state of flux, shortening and lengthening as the hand moves around the fingerboard, and responding to the needs of the music with its continual shifts of dynamics. The seven exercises in this lesson help the gut string novice establish a living relationship with the strings, testing their resistance via the bow and the fingers. This process has two phases, the Experimental Phase, in which the fingers, through tactile awareness, feel the string and gauge the correct amount of pressure for obtaining a clear, basic sound, and the Evaluation Phase, when the ear evaluates its resultant quality.

After a brief introduction to Corelli’s work and significance, there are crucial basic questions: what is meant by interpretation and what does the process of interpretation actually involve? Subjectivity and objectivity are discussed, the conclusion being that as a performer’s mission is not to express the performer but to reveal the music, the guiding mantra should be “The Starting-point of Interpretation Is Observation.” Baroque music depends for its effectiveness on the observation of minutiae, for every stroke of the composer’s pen is there for a purpose; it is the performer’s task to observe these minutiae, understand them, and bring them to life. The detailed “Observations” section of each lesson reflects this. Also discussed are ways of transforming these observations into sound, how to choose a tempo, whether the tempi of the movements are related, and the meaning of syncopation.

This project brings together a performer-researcher with a performer-composer for a composition that explores not just the two instruments chosen for performance, but also a wide range of Southeast Asian traditional instruments and associated traditions, from which the music gains inspiration. The work will be scored for viola and zhongruan, with the project stemming from the 2020 work Conversations that brought together 21 musicians across three continents, of Western and Burmese musical traditions. The new work aims to take yet a new step in seeing how the broader soundscapes of Southeast Asia, including the angklung, gamelan, khene, dan bau, and Hindustani violin, can influence and even be distilled – refined – into the viola, consulting practitioners of these instruments where possible. The alternative tuning technique of scordatura is likely to be centre stage in the exploration of tonal colours and sympathetic resonances those instruments embody, along with other extended techniques. This process will encompass philosophical questions of appropriation vis-a-vis originality and the nature of collaboration, seeking insight into how the decision to be inspired by another instrument involves both refining and simplification alongside preservation, and the discovery of old things anew within unexpected confluences of diverse musical traditions.

Freeze-drying is a dehydration method suitable for the stabilization of heat-labile pharmaceutical products, such as vaccines. Due to the vial-to-vial variability of heat and mass transfer during the process, the value of the critical process parameters (e.g., product temperature, sublimation rate) may be different between vials and batches often present significant product quality heterogeneity. The aim of this work was the development of a dynamic, multi-vial mathematical model making it possible to predict risk of failure of the process, defined as the percentage of vials potentially rejected by quality inspection. Анотація:

The aim of this work is to synthesis nanoparticles from bamboo charcoal and identify the majority elements of the nanoparticles. The bamboo charcoal is made by pyrolysis process. The charcoal was manually pulverized before being sieved through a filter with a mesh size of 200. The synthesis of the nanoparticle was conducted by using a top-down approach of ball milling process. The charcoal powder that had passed through the filter and the milling balls of steel were then poured into a vial of glass. In the vial, the milling operation was carried out. The vial had a diameter of 71 mm and a length of 119 mm, while the ball's diameter was 0.25 inches. To have the balls collide and reduce the size of the charcoal particles, the vial was rotated. 5 million cycles at 500 revolutions per minutes were performed on the shaker machine. The empty space in the vial was one third of vial volume for the movement of the milling balls. The ball milling process was separated into two conditions, namely dry and wet. For the wet procedure, the particles are filtered to separate the particles based on their size. The particle morphology, size, and elements in the particle produced by the process were examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and an Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX). The results showed that the size of the particles of the dry procedure is un-uniform in the range of about 300 nm to 600 nm with irregular shape. The dominant element is carbon. The wet procedure produced a more uniform size in the range of 100 nm to 200 nm with also irregular shape. The most dominant element is also carbon.

Ball milling is a material processing method that allows near room temperature process of elements in powder and permits to synthesize materials with peculiar properties otherwise difficult or impossible to obtain. Due to the repeated fractures and cold welding of the reactants particles, solid solutions, amorphous alloys and equilibrium nanostructured materials can be obtained. Products coming from mechanosynthesis process can be advantageously applied as high performance structural and functional materials. Different milling devices can be utilized for the powder processing: planetary mill, attritor, horizontal ball mill, 1D and 3D vibrating machines. The wide differentiation in configuration of the mills obstacles the development of a unified model on powder transformation kinetics in the milling process and then most of processing procedures are still developed by using a trial and error method. The focus of this paper is on a horizontal fixed vial ball mill; in this configuration a high speed rotor launches several tumbling against the vial wall. During hits, a quantity of energy is released to the trapped powder and the solid state reactions are promoted. To characterize the powder transformation process, knowledge of the kinematics of the balls system must be inferred. For this purpose an experimental setup based on digital image acquisition was constructed and the movement of balls inside the vial was filmed. Particle trace analysis methodology permitted to obtain balls trajectories, velocity vector field and total hit frequency. The kinetic energy of the impacting balls inside the vial was quantified, so that the energy released to the powder in a milling experiment can be estimated.

Atendiendo a la problemática ambiental que se presenta en ciudades con alta densidad poblacional, se ha identificado al sector transporte como uno de los principales generadores de gases efecto invernadero (GEI), compuestos orgánicos volátiles (COV) y material particulado (PM) a nivel nacional. Dichos contaminantes, generados por vehículos impulsados por Motores de Combustión Interna (MCI), y que abarcan desde motocicletas hasta tractocamiones, representan un detrimento en la calidad del aire, lo que implica daños al medio ambiente y a la salud de la población.Por lo tanto, en este proyecto se presenta el proceso de caracterización experimental y conversión de una motocicleta de propulsión MCI dos tiempos a Vehículo Eléctrico de Baterías (VEB), detallando su desempeño antes y después de la conversión en términos de potencia, torque, emisiones contaminantes y funcionalidad en condiciones mixtas de operación, mediante pruebas de desempeño en laboratorio. A partir de estos datos, se cuantifica el impacto en términos ambientales, de seguridad, movilidad y gestión vial derivados de dicha conversión.Los resultados indican que, en cuanto a desempeño, a pesar de que la motocicleta en modo MCI ofrece mayores prestaciones (velocidad y potencia), el desempeño mecánico de la motocicleta en modo VEB resulta apropiado para las condiciones de tráfico presentes en las principales ciudades de Colombia. Por otra parte, la disminución de emisiones contaminantes derivada de la conversión reduce el riesgo de contraer enfermedades respiratorias para todos los actores viales, así como la ocurrencia de accidentalidad vial, particularmente en momentos de alta concentración vehicular durante las horas pico; representando así mejoras en la seguridad y gestión vial.

A new Process Analytical Technology (PAT) has been developed and tested for on-line process monitoring of a vacuum freeze-drying process. The sensor uses an infrared camera to obtain thermal images of the ongoing process and multivariate image analysis (MIA) to extract the information after automatic detection and segmentation of the region corresponding to the product in every vial. A reference model was built, using the information of six batches, and different kind of anomalous events, involving either single vials in the batch or the whole batch, were simulated to test the capacity of the MIA-based monitoring system to promptly identify them. Cet article analyse, en se basant sur un échantillon de neuf nouvelles de la Renaissance, la présence du harcèlement sexuel et sexiste dans la novellistica italienne. Il s'agit de définir les profils des victimes et des coupables, les stratégies des uns et les réactions des autres pour se défendre d'un phénomène récurrent dans ce type de littérature, et destiné à susciter, selon le ton employé, une gamme variée d'émotions chez le lecteur. En effet, l'article montre que les stratégies de défense face au harcèlement dépendent du statut matrimonial de la victime et de son entourage proche, allant du comique au tragique. Les risques encourus par la femme harcelée – calomnie, déshonneur, coups d'un mari jaloux, viol – entraînent des réactions souvent également violentes, par les armes ou par la ruse, afin de faire cesser définitivement la situation dangereuse. La femme prend fréquemment une part active à sa propre défense, aboutissant parfois à la suppression pure et simple du harceleur, signe d'une certaine conscience de la part des auteurs des enjeux du harcèlement sexuel, du système de domination qu'il incarne et de la menace concrète qu'il représente pour les femmes, quels que soient leur classe sociale et leur statut matrimonial.

Performance of composite materials usually suffers from process-induced defects such as dry spots or microscopic voids. While effects of void content in molded composites have been studied extensively, knowledge of void morphology and spatial distribution of voids in composites manufactured by resin transfer molding (RTM) remains limited. In this study, through-the-thickness void distribution for a disk-shaped, E-glass/epoxy composite part manufactured by resin transfer molding is investigated. Microscopic image analysis is conducted through-the-thickness of a radial sample obtained from the molded composite disk. Voids are primarily found to concentrate within or adjacent to the fiber preforms. More than 93% of the voids are observed within the preform or in a so-called transition zone, next to a fibrous region. In addition, viod content was found to fluctuate through-the-thickness of the composite. Variation up to 17% of the average viod content of 2.15% is observed through-the-thicknesses of the eight layers studied. Microscopic analysis revealed that average size of voids near the mold surfaces is slightly larger than those located at the interior of the composite. In addition, average size of voids that are located within the fiber preform is observed to be smaller than those located in other regions of the composite. Finally, proximity to the surface is found to have no apparent effect on shape of voids within the composite.

En Colombia, en municipios de zonas costeras, especialmente en el ámbito educativo, se vio completamente afectada la manera en que los estudiantes de diferentes instituciones educativas tomaban sus clases, ya que se imposibilita la presencialidad. Debido a las condiciones previas de estos municipios, específicamente Manatí y Santa Lucía en el Atlántico, en cuanto a accesibilidad a líneas de internet y conexión de datos, se dificulta adoptar la educación virtual como en otras regiones del país. Por esta razón, las instituciones educativas de los municipios mencionados, decidieron elaborar una serie de guías que acompañaran el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes.
