Oil palm (E. guineensis) is native to Africa and among highest oilseeds crop in the world, having a dormant seeds which require pre-treatments to quicken the germination process. The objective of this experiment is to evaluate the effects of Vimpel growth regulator on germination of Oil palm seedlings. The viable seeds of oil palm were treated with vimpel solution at different stages of the germination process tagged as A (+ Vimpel before heat), B (+Vimpel after heat), C (+Vimpel without heat) D (0 vimpel) E (+ Vimpel prior and after heat) and F (Water prior and after heating/Control) and then subjected to six different temperature regime i.e. 2,4,6,8, 10 and 12 weeks in the germination chamber. The result indicates that group A had the highest germination percentage at 10 weeks of heat treatment followed by B at 8 weeks of temperature while group F (control) had the lowest percentage. Conclusively, the vimpel growth regulator has significant effects in facilitating the germination process by 40 days against 80 days of heat treatment currently use in the oil palm seed germination.

The main component of the technology of growing agricultural crops is the use of high-quality seed material, as well as the use of biological poisons and plant growth regulators, which ensures their proper growth and development, reduces the negative impact of diseases, increases the yield of the cultivated crop and the quality of the obtained products. Therefore, the aim of our study was to analyze the influence of biological preparations Vimpel 2, Oracle multicomplex and their mixture Vimpel 2 + Oracle multicomplex on the sowing qualities the seeds of spring barley plants of varieties the Helios and Sebastian. The sowing quality of seeds spring barley was determined according to the methods prescribed by the state standard of Ukraine in the laboratory of biocontrol of agroecosystems and organic production of the Institute of Agroecology and Environmental Management of NAAN. It was found that seeds spring barley of varieties the Helios and Sebastian contaminated with micromycetes from 10 to 50% under the influence of the studied preparation, their laboratory germination and germination energy were high and ranged from 70% to 98%. At the same time, on the control version, the infection of seeds with micromycetes reached 100%, its laboratory germination and germination energy were significantly lower and amounted to 55% and 60%, respectively. According to the results of the morphometric indicators, it was shown that the sprout plants of spring barley developed more intensively under the influence of the studied preparations: their length was almost 1.5 times greater compared to the control variant. It was established that the pathogenic mycobiota of the seeds spring barley differed significantly under the influence of the biological preparations and biological features of plant varieties. The use of biological preparation the Vimpel 2 and the preparations mixture of Vimpel 2 + Oracle multicomplex significantly increases the resistance of plants spring barley to diseases and stressful situations, which, in turn, will contribute to an increase in the yield of the studied crop and the quality of its seed products. The analyzed indicators of the sowing quality of spring barley seeds make it possible to ensure sowing with high-quality seed material in order to avoid biological contamination of agrocenoses.

Goal. To investigate the influence of plant growth regulators (PGR) and microfertilizer as plant resistance inducers for reducing the development of cucumber diseases in film greenhouses. Methods. Field and laboratory. Results. Analysis of the activity of total peroxidase showed a positive dynamics of activation of this enzyme - an increase of 1,2 – 2,2 times, which is 14,3 – 54,6%. It was the highest in the version with the use of Epin extra and salicylic acid. For the third day after plant treatment, the enzyme activity increased to 74.7-75.1 mg-ekv/g·s, Due to increased plant resistance, a decrease in the level of infestation of cucumber plants is noted. Depending on the drugs, the intensity of development of root rot in the average years of research was kept within 12.3-17.7 % at 30.5 % in the control. The smallest development of root rot was observed after application of microfertilizer CompleMet – 12.3 %. Treatment of plants by growth regulators led to a decrease in the level of damage of cucumber by downy mildew. The smallest development of the disease was noted in variants with Vimpel Maxi, Epin extra and CompleMet – 8.5% at 13.7% in control. Conclusions. The tendency to increase the level of activity of peroxidase in cucumber plants after treatment with plant growth regulators is revealed, which indicates an increase in the activity of one of the key non-specific protective reactions and, consequently, unspecific plant resistance. The effectiveness of PGR on the basis of humic acids, biologically active substances and microfertilizer CompleMet as an inducer of plant resistance to diseases has been established. The most effective against root rot is microfertilizer CompleMet – 60 % among growth regulators: Vimpel Maxi, salicylic acid, Epin extra (biological efficiency – 56, 55, 52 % respectively). Influence from the action of PGR against downy mildewis observed at the initial stages of disease development. A noticeable effect is observed when applying Epin extra, Vimpel Maxi and CompleMet (biological efficiency – 38%).

Studies have been conducted to establish the influence of plant growth regulators and drip irrigation on the productivity of marshmallow in the first year of the growing season. It was found that the increase in dry grass yield from the use of growth regulators ranged from 0.15 t/ha to 0.88 t/ha without irrigation. In the variants with the use of irrigation, the increase in yield ranged from 0.29 t/ha to 1.16 t/ha. It was found that the yield of dry roots without irrigation with the use of growth regulators increased by 0.05–0.42 t/ha compared to the option without the introduction of growth regulators (control). Under irrigation conditions, the use of growth regulators helped to increase the yield of dried roots of marshmallow by 0.12 0.47 t/ha relative to control. The highest productivity of marshmallow grass was obtained with the application of Emistin and Vimpel, where the yield was 4.69 and 4.88 t/ha without irrigation, in the variants with irrigation the yield was 7.31 and 7.44 t/ha of dry raw materials. The highest yield of dried marshmallow roots without irrigation was in the variants with the application of Vimpel and Potassium Humate where it was 1.89 and 1.95 t/ha. Under irrigation conditions, the highest root yield of 2.22–2.34 t/ha was obtained in the variants with the introduction of Emistin, Potassium Humate and Vimpel. The study of the effect of drip irrigation on the yield of dry raw material of marshmallow showed a positive effect, on average, the increase in yield from the use of irrigation was 2.5 t/ha of grass and 0.39 t/ha of roots. In a study of the influence of growth regulators on the share of leaves in raw materials, it was found that without irrigation among the studied options, the percentage of leaves ranged from 43.5 to 46.7%. The use of Sodium Humate provided the raw material with the largest share of leaves. The smallest share of leaves was under the control and with the introduction of growth regulators of Potassium Humate and Emistin. Under irrigation, the share of leaves in raw materials ranged from 42.9 to 47.1%. The lowest percentage of leaves in the raw material was recorded in the version with the introduction of the growth regulator of Potassium Humate, the highest percentage of leaves was in the version with the introduction of Pennant.

Improvement of orbits precision is one of the most important tasks of space surveillance catalogue maintenance. The solution of this problem is directly related to an adequate consideration of the errors of the coordinate information from the measuring instruments. The article consideresd a new method for estimating the precision of measuring instruments on the catalog orbits. To carry out such analysis, in PJSC «VIMPEL» special technological program was created. Main results of a study of radar errors with orbits of space surveillance catalogue was presented. Also, the results were compared with data of measuring instrument's calibration software complex. This software complex provides determination of satellite's position with errors less than 10 m. A new dynamic model of measuring instrument errors is proposed.

The article presents the results of researching the impact of foliar fertilization with microfertilizers Ecolist Mono Zinc and Rostok Corn, plant growth regulator Vimpel and bacterial preparation Biomag on the complex of economically valuable traits and productivity of maize hybrids of different maturity groups (early ripening group: Kharkiv 195 MV, (FAO 190), DKS 2960 (FAO 250), DKS 2949 (FAO 190), DKS 2971 (FAO 200), middle-early: DKS 3472 (FAO 270), DKS 3420 (FAO 280), Pereyaslavsky 230 SV (FAO 230), DKS 3871 (FAO 280) and medium-ripe: DK 391 (FAO 320), DK 440 (FAO 350), DKS 4964 (FAO 390), DK 315 (FAO 310)). The dependence of foliar fertilization usage and the starch content in corn grain is generalized. One-time foliar feeding provided a starch content increase by 0.1-0.5%, double feeding - by 0.85-1.30%. The yield of starch was in hybrids DK 391 - 8,748 t / ha, DK 440 - 8,821 t / ha, DKS 4964 - 9,559 t / ha, DK 315 - 9,314 t / ha with a single feeding and with a double feeding it was significantly higher - 9,220 t / ha, - 9,384 t / ha, 10,142 t / ha, 9,993 t / ha, accordingly. The highest yield of starch in all hybrids was provided by double application of microfertilizer Ecolist Mono Zinc (8,983-10,595 t / ha) and Rostok corn (8,721-10,597 t / ha), the increase in starch yield with the use of these fertilizers was 0.5-1.8 t / ha, relative to control (water supply). It is established that in dry years with high temperatures (2012) there is a decrease in starch content, regardless of the studied vegetation factors and cultivation technology. Foliar fertilization contributed to an increase in the starch content of the grain (by 0.1-0.46% in 2011-2013) compared to the control (without foliar fertilization). The highest starch content in the grain of the studied maize hybrids (70.92-76.72% and 71.45-76.72%) was provided by foliar fertilization with microfertilizers Ecolist Mono Zinc and Rostock corn. A decrease in the starch content was observed during crop treatment with the plant growth regulator Vimpel in the phase of 5-7 corn leaves on hybrids DKS 3420 by 0.36%, Pereyaslavsky 230SV by 0.11% and DKS 3871 by 0.5%, respectively.

Modern threats for anti-missile system and space surveillance and tracking system objects include terroristic and unidentifiable unmanned aerial vehicle. To counter these threats a concept of radar complex for unmanned aerial vehicles jamming and detection proposed. Complex consists of non-radiating radio locator, radio warfare station and global navigation jamming radar. Structure, principle of operation and basic technical characteristics of these systems described. Counter-drone actions algorithm in proposed complex described and analyzed. Results of mom-radiating radar development in JSC MAK Vimpel and its experimental investigation described. Precision of estimation range, velocity and angular location described. Jamming effectiveness estimator schematic diagram proposed. Jamming effectiveness may be estimated on navigation equipment or program models of prospective GPS receivers. Results of effective jamming signal development presented. Results may be used in small low-energy counter drone radioelectronic systems development for anti-missile and Space Surveillance and Tracking system objects.

The article presents the main results reached in our study of the influence of mineral fertilizers and growth regulators on formation of the symbiotic apparatus of field pea varieties of the conditions of Western Forest-Steppe. Experimental part of the research was carried out during 2016-2018 in the experimental field of the Training and Production Center "Podilya" at the State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilya. The field experiment was laid down in the research ten-digit crop rotation. Soil of the experimental field was the typical black earth, characterized as deep, low-humus, and heavy gravel on forest-like loams. The research was set under the optimal conditions for the formation of nodulation apparatus on the roots of the following pea varieties: Gotovsky, Chekbek and Fargus. During the growth stage BBSN 60-69, with application of N30P30K45 fertilizer combined with Vimpel growth regulator, was recorded both the highest general number of nodules per plant, and the highest number of active nodules. With the same combination of mineral fertilizer and growth regulator, the Gotovsky variety demonstrated the rates of 43,2 nodules per plant, including 19,1 active nodules per plant; the Checkback variety demonstrated the rates of 52.2 nodules per plant, including 23.4 active nodules per plant; the Fargus variety demonstrated 41.6 nodules, 16.2 active nodules per plant, respectively.

У першому розділі розглянуто ботанічну характеристику та господарське значення кукурудзи, складено перелік стимуляторів росту і описані особливості їх впливу на формування продукційного процесу сільськогосподарських культур. У другому розділі навені умови та методи досліджень. Третій розділ містить результати досліджень, у четвертому – представлені економічні розрахунки. У п'ятому розділі описані системи управління охороною праці та особливості безпеки праці при застосуванні пестицидів та агрохімікатів. За результати проведених досліджень встановлено, що при вирощуванні кукурудзи гібриду Амарос на чорноземі вилуженому зони Полісся України стимулятори росту позитивно впливають на формування врожаю. Найбільш ефективну дію має препарат Біокомплекс-БТУ.
The first section considers the botanical characteristics and economic importance of corn, as well as a list of growth stimulants and describes the features of their impact on the formation of the production process of crops. The second section presents the conditions and methods of research. The third section contains the results of research, the fourth - presents economic calculations. The fifth section describes the management systems of labor protection and safety features in the use of pesticides and agrochemicals. According to the results of the conducted researches it is established that at cultivation of corn of hybrid Amaros on chernozems of leached zones of Polissya of Ukraine growth stimulators positively influence formation of a crop. The drug Biocomplex-BTU had the most effective effect.

Thinning is performed today with essentially two thinning methods, with strip-roads or stand-thinning machines. The result after thinning affects the stands future development. In this study, the two thinning methods was compared with regard to distribution of basal area, resulting damage, the distribution of stems, actual thinning intensity and the impact that these differences may provide in the future. The survey was conducted in Sundsvall, Sweden in two different stands where basal area- surfaces, number of stems, damage and thinning strength was measured. The result shows that stand-thinning machines produce less damage to the stems and a more even distribution of the basal area. The strip-road method carried out a thinning of excessive thinning intensity of 50 % compared to 30 % for stand-thinning method. From a quality point of view the stand-thinning machines performed a better result. These machines have a lower production (harvested volume per hour) which probably results in lower financial gains in thinnings. Syftet med studien är att få en inblick i hur förskollärare förhåller sig till och pratar om musikundervisning i förskolan. Forskning som gjorts inom området visar att det finns en tydlig koppling mellan musikundervisning och barns lärande. Trots detta saknar förskollärare många gånger ämnesdidaktisk kunskap inom musikundervisningen, vilket medför att musikämnet alltför ofta prioriteras bort från det pedagogiska schemat.  Studien har sin utgångspunkt i två individuella delstudier. Dessa delstudier behandlar forskningsfrågorna utifrån skilda analysmetoder. De utvalda metoderna utgörs en kvalitativ diskursanalys av fem artiklar som syftar till att undersöka de dominerande diskurserna och osynliga strukturer inom musikundervisning i förskolan. Den kvantitativa enkäten med kvalitativa inslag kartlägger musikens plats i förskolan utifrån förskollärare i ett specifikt rektorsområde. Med utgångspunkt i sociokulturell teori, diskursteori och ramfaktorteori har vi analyserat det empiriska materialet och försökt synliggöra hur förskollärare arbetar med musiken i förskolan, i vilken utsträckning bedrivs didaktiskt planerad musikundervisning, om det finns kopplingar mellan musik och andra ämnen och om förskollärares förhållningssätt påverkar musikundervisningens kvalitét.  Resultaten i studien visar bland annat att den ämnesdidaktiska medvetenheten har ökat bland förskollärarna. Detta skulle kunna bero på att de estetiska ämnena i förskollärarutbildningen har fått större plats. Studien har även synliggjort att förskollärare gärna arbetar med musik och att det de vill att musiken ska ta mer plats i undervisningen i förskolan.

Significant changes and advances in technology in the twenty-first century, and the rapid evolution and development of the internet in particular, have shaped the production, publication, and consumption of, and access to, a wide range of media. For adaptors of Shakespeare, such advances can be exploited as new and innovative ways through which to interpret, perform, and understand Shakespeare. This thesis argues that a possibility space emerges from the restrictions of video-sharing sites such as YouTube and Vimeo, enabling the creation and online distribution of original internet-disseminated short film adaptations of Shakespeare on a scale — and with a potential audience — previously unimaginable to those without significant financial resources. I explore the effect that the enforced brevity of the possibility space has on filmmakers’ adaptations of Shakespeare and ask how this space enables newly creative and innovative approaches to adapting Hamlet’s ‘to be or not to be’ speech, Ophelia’s image (and death), and a distilled Romeo and Juliet narrative. I aim to show that a generally circulated cultural memory of Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet is crucial for this kind of short-form adaptation, as the brevity of the format relies on audience familiarity with the images and texts deployed to fill in any gaps. I demonstrate that image-based adaptations, such as Ophelia’s death, are predominantly reductive due to a strong visual tradition that results in repeated reproduction of the same image, whereas text-based adaptations, such as Hamlet’s speech, allow exploration and amplification due to the nebulous nature of the text and exploitation of the possibilities of film; the Romeo and Juliet love story, bound up in both text and image, is more visually resonant than adaptations of Hamlet’s speech, but less so than those of Ophelia’s death. Ultimately, I conclude that although the possibility space always exists, it is not always leveraged in the same way: it can, and does, offer internet-disseminated short filmmakers the opportunity to approach familiar Shakespearean material in new and innovative ways, but this creative potential can be overlooked in favour of static, mimetic replication that uses Shakespeare to confer legitimacy without writing back.

Esta pesquisa apresenta um estudo sobre o vime, desde a produção da matéria-prima até suas aplicações no artesanato, dentro de uma perspectiva de sustentabilidade social, econômica e ambiental. O lócus do trabalho foi o Planalto Catarinense, onde se concentra a maior produção de vime do Brasil. A região, de clima subtropical úmido, é a ideal para o cultivo das espécies de Salix destinadas ao artesanato. Foram analisadas quatro espécies, Salix viminalis, Salix purpurea, Salix x rubens e Salix spp (espécie sem identificação), oriundas de Unidades de Observação, supervisionadas pela Epagri. O trabalho trata de dois aspectos principais: a matéria-prima e o artesanato. Quanto à matéria-prima, procedeu-se iniciou-se com a avaliação comparativa das espécies feita por artesãos experientes no uso do vime, em seguida procedeu-se ao levantamento anatômico das quatro espécies, que seguiu as Normas de Procedimentos em Estudos de Anatomia de Madeira (Coradin e Muniz, 1991), juntamente com o levantamento dos elementos químicos presentes nas amostras, feito por meio de Microscopia de Varredura e EDX, a fim de determinar a presença de metais pesados e a possível utilização do material para fitorremediação. Os aspectos referentes à matéria-prima são completados com a classificação do vime quanto às espécies e aos sítios, por meio da Espectroscopia no Infravermelho Próximo (NIR). Quanto ao artesanato apresenta-se uma pesquisa qualitativa que incluiu três etapas: um Workshop envolvendo artesãos e designers; uma pesquisa realizada por intermédio de uma adaptação da metodologia Roadmaps, em Bom Retiro – SC, com produtores de vime, artesãos, autoridades regionais e designers; e uma pesquisa com os artesãos dos sete municípios produtores de vime do Planalto Catarinense. Para proceder-se ao estudo fez-se uso tanto de metodologias quantitativas quanto qualitativas, uma vez que parte do estudo referente à matéria-prima utilizou métodos quantitativos e estatísticos, enquanto os aspectos sociais referentes ao artesanato são melhor analisados através de métodos qualitativos, aqui incluídas a pesquisa participativa e a metodologia Road Maps. Os resultados referentes à matéria-prima indicam as espécies mais promissoras em relação ao uso esperado. Já a pesquisa relativa ao artesanato, apresenta as condições atuais de artesãos e agricultores, suas expectativas em relação ao futuro da atividade, os principais desafios e as sugestões para superá-los.

In order to manage large collections of video content, we need appropriate video content models that can facilitate interaction with the content. The important issue for video applications is to accommodate different ways in which a video sequence can function semantically. This requires that the content be described at several levels of abstraction. In this chapter we propose a video metamodel called VIMET and describe an approach to modeling video content such that video content descriptions can be developed incrementally, depending on the application and video genre. We further define a data model to represent video objects and their relationships at several levels of abstraction. With the help of an example, we then illustrate the process of developing a specific application model that develops incremental descriptions of video semantics using our proposed video metamodel (VIMET).

Two recently developed electrochemical techniques are presented as tools for the characterization of solid surfaces with possible catalytic or electrocatalytic capacities. The techniques are the voltammetry of immobilized micro particles (VIMP) and the electrochemical scanning microscopy (SECM). The VIMP is a simple and economical technique that only requires basic electrochemical instrumentation. Higher sophistication is possible with relatively low investments for non-specialized laboratories. The SECM requires more investment and technical advice because it requires a somewhat sophisticated instrumentation not usually found in an electrochemical laboratory. However, associated costs are relatively low compared to other solid surface exploration techniques. The historical development, improvements over time, and some applications for surface characterization are presented for each technique. Finally, some cases of coupling with other techniques allowing the expansion of the capacities for the topographical and reactivity characterization of solid surfaces are briefly presented.

Chapter will also show how to consolidate unstructured text data sources from blogs and Twitter with revealed knowledge from multimedia contents for better understanding consumer habits and needs. For this purposes Social Network Analysis will be used as well as text mining techniques on different internet data sources. Presented methodology has practical value where information about customer behavior, preferences and changes in preferences during different time periods is valuable information for campaign planning, campaign management and new product development. Presented methodology also captures different techniques for data crawling from different internet resources, as well as analytical consolidation of revealed results which aim is better understanding of client behavior.

Effective haulage is one of the main requirements for cost-efficient logging services. The aim of the study is to estimate productivity of Vimek 610.2 forwarder in thinning and to determine soil compaction during haulage. Trials were conducted in Latvia, in 2 forest stands located in northern part of the country, in Engure municipality. The Vimek 610.2 Biocombi harwarder with additional bunk was used as a forwarder in the trials. It was equipped with Mowi P25 crane, tracks on rear axle and net chains on front axle to enhance performance on soils with low bearing capacity. Detailed time study was implemented for 56 forwarder loads. Working time was evaluated according to working cycle of forwarder crane (13 operations in total). Productivity of Vimek 610.2 forwarder and the prime cost of roundwood forwarding under optimal and extreme conditions is determined based on the time study results. According to the results productivity of forwarder Vimek 610.2 in trials with average hauling distance of 181 m, recalculated to productive time consumption spent to forward 1m3 of roundwood under optimal conditions is 6.03 min and under extreme conditions – 6.23 min. In soils with low bearing capacity Vimek 610.2 did not compacted soil, however formation of ruts were observed, and in areas with optimal soil bearing capacity soil compaction was detected at surface layers (down to 10 cm depth). Prime costs of forwarding with Vimek 610.2 under optimal conditions to 180 m distance is 2.46 € m-3, but under extreme conditions – 3.36 € m-3.
