Este artigo tem como objetivo a realização de uma análise comparativa da cobertura vegetal do Parque Municipal do Cinturão Verde e de outros bosques urbanos do centro de Cianorte, localizada no norte do Paraná. Para tanto, investiga-se como estão distribuídas espacialmente as áreas verdes, tendo em vista os índices de ocupação da população de diversos setores urbanos selecionados. O Índice de Áreas Verdes (IAV) foi utilizado para sintetizar as análises. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram que Cianorte possui um índice de cobertura vegetal por habitante maior do que o sugerido pela Sociedade Brasileiras de Arborização Urbana (SBAU), todavia, essa cobertura vegetal não está homogeneamente distribuída pela cidade.

Background: Electroconvulsive therapy formerly known as electroshock is a psychiatric treatment in which seizures were electrically induced to provide relief from psychiatric disorder. The most common technique of anaesthesia used during ECT is General Anaesthesia with bag and mask ventilation which is being used for a long time. However, there are case reports of pulmonary edema, bronchospasm, hemodynamic changes during this technique, so we want to compare the effectiveness of I-gel over bag and mask ventilation in ECT. Methods: In our study 50 patients were randomized and 25 of them were ventilated with bag and mask. The other 25 patients were ventilated with I-gel. Vital parameters were monitored intra-operatively and postoperatively we observed nausea, vomiting, bronchospasm, sore throat, laryngospasm. Results: Statistically significant difference were found in mean heart rate and blood pressure values in both the groups. Also we noticed 2 cases of nausea, 1 case of vomiting 2 cases of sore throat in bag and mask group whereas 2 cases of bronchospasm in I-gel group. Conclusion: Hemodynamic variables were better controlled in I-gel group. Also the post operative complications were less in I-gel group.

In this article, manuscripts of epos «Bozoglan, Ahmetbek, Zhusipbek» published in Kazan in scientific work "Babalarsozi" and manuscripts of epos "Yusuf beg - Ahmet beg" from the fund of manuscripts of Academy of Science of Turkmenistan are analyzed. Explanations to some words, phrases and meanings from text are given in the Kazakh version of manuscripts. In our article, we compare the Kazakh-Turkmen text of the poem, compare some words and concepts that contradict each other or cannot convey meaning in verses, comparing them with detailed examples. We have considered that the results of our research and evaluation will be useful to future researchers in this area. Analysis of the works was done according to intercultural literature researches and methodologies build upon them. This article states that historical literature of early periods, should be analyzed considering the features, literary traditions, and usage of words of that period.

At this current digital era, business platforms have been drastically shifted toward online stores on internet. With the internet-based platform, customers can order goods easily using their smart phones and get delivery at their place without going to the shopping mall. However, the drawback of this business platform is that customers do not really know about the quality of the products they ordered. Therefore, such platform service often provides the review section to let previous customers leave a review about the received product. The reviews are a good source to analyze customer's satisfaction. Business owners can assess review trend as either positive or negative based on a feedback score that customers had given, but it takes too much time for human to analyze this data. In this research, we develop computational models using machine learning techniques to classify product reviews as positive or negative based on the sentiment analysis. In our experiments, we use the book review data from amazon.com to develop the models. For a machine learning based strategy, the data had been transformed with the bag of word technique before developing models using logistic regression, naïve bayes, support vector machine, and neural network algorithms. For a deep learning strategy, the word embedding is a technique that we used to transform data before applying the long short-term memory and gated recurrent unit techniques. On comparing performance of machine learning against deep learning models, we compare results from the two methods with both the preprocessed dataset and the non-preprocessed dataset. The result is that the bag of words with neural network outperforms other techniques on both non-preprocess and preprocess datasets.

Interfaith marriage is a very sensitive issue to discuss. The debate over the rules for interfaith marriages is caused by differences in interpretation of the verses of the Koran which explain the laws of marriage. Scholars agree that the marriage of a Muslim woman to a non-Muslim man is invalid. Regarding the marriage of Muslim men to non-Muslim women, there are differences of opinion. If the woman is a Mushrik woman then the marriage is invalid, whereas if the woman is a People of the Book, there are still scholars who view the marriage as valid and there are also those who view it as invalid. With various considerations, both from the verses of the Koran, the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, and the rules of fiqh, the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) as a guide for Religious Court judges to decide cases regarding matters of marriage, inheritance and waqf among Muslims has prohibited firmly and clearly the marriage of a Muslim man to a woman from the People of the Book and vice versa, the marriage of a Muslim woman to a man from the People of the Book. The result of this prohibition is that children resulting from interfaith marriages are classified as illegitimate children who do not have any relationship with their father and only have a civil relationship with their mother.

Ramadan is the holy month for Muslims. A month full of wisdom, blessings, and forgiveness. In this month of Ramadan, Allah promises multiple rewards. Therefore, Muslims are competing in pursuing goodness, blessings, and forgiveness. Giving alms in the month of Ramadan is noble worship and the right of everyone. However, someone's generosity is often abused by certain people. This culture can become a social disease in the month of Ramadan. But behind this blessing of Ramadan, certain parties take advantage of the momentum to reap the benefits. One of them is the number of monthly beggars in the month of Ramadan. Beggars are mushrooming in public places. Islam does not make begging by lying and cheating. The reason is not only because they violate sins, but also because these actions are considered to pollute good deeds and rob poor people who need help. It even damages the good image of the poor who do not want to beg and those who love virtue. Many propositions explain the haram of begging by deception and without an urgent need. The Prophet Muhammad SAW in his hadith advises us to try and earn a living in whatever form, as long as it is lawful and good, there is no syubhat, no prohibition, and not by begging. We are also singled out for ta'affuf (taking care of ourselves from begging. We must believe that only Allah hears our troubles. As for humans, they don't like hearing about other people's troubles. Islam encourages us to strive, based on the verses and hadiths of the Prophet.

The environmental impact generated by agriculture with excessive use of fertilizers has led to the search for alternatives to improve soil fertility. This study aimed to evaluate the potential of Lupinus exaltatus in terms of decomposition and mineralization of nitrogen (N) when incorporated into the soil as green manure (GM) and its effect on the growth of Triticum aestivum L. seedlings. Litter bags were used, with a total of 216 nylon bags (10 × 5 cm), in each bag were placed 5 g dry base of GM in the vegetative stage and flowering. Subsequently, the GM bags were placed separately Vertisol and Regosol soil at a depth of 5 cm; and every three weeks until the end of the incubation, three bags were recovered per treatment. For evaluation of the effect GM on T. aestivum growth experiment was established in pots with soil Regosol, it consisted of incorporating 50 and 34 g dry base of the GM (equivalent to 10 and 15 t.ha-1). The GM in the vegetative stage lost an average of 83,52 % of its initial weight, while in flowering the loss was 76,49 %, the mineralized N was higher in Regosol soil than in Vertisol with 74,02 % and 70,58 % respectively. The wheat seedlings presented 30 % more dry matter and N with GM than the control treatment. L. exaltatus had a rapid decomposition and mineralization of N in the first stages of incubation.

Parmi les verres adaptés aux applications dans l'infrarouge moyen, les verres d’oxydes lourds Ga2O3 - GeO2 - BaO (ΒGG) se distinguent par leurs avantages uniques. Ces verres oxydes ont une faible énergie de phonon couplée à une température de transition vitreuse supérieure à 500°C, ainsi que des propriétés mécaniques et une durabilité chimique similaires à celles de la silice. La combinaison harmonieuse de ces propriétés fait du verre BGG un excellent candidat, offrant des performances améliorées par rapport à d'autres familles de verre opérant dans l’infrarouge moyen comme les verres fluorés ou les verres chalcogénures. En optimisant le rapport Ga/Ge pour favoriser les matrices gallates riches en gallium, l'énergie des phonons est encore minimisée et les propriétés mécaniques sont améliorées.Cette thèse aborde les défis actuels dans le développement de fibres optiques robustes et à faible perte fabriquées à partir de verres gallo-germanates (BGe) et de germano-gallates (BGa). L'étude de diverses compositions de verre BGG montre que l'oxyde d’yttrium seul agit comme un « stabilisateur » efficace de la matrice vitreuse, facilitant la production de verres thermiquement stables sans cristallisation pendant l’étape d’étirage. Une analyse de la structure locale du verre montre que l'iintroduction d’oxyde d'yttrium dans les verres germanates et gallo-germanates avec un rapport Ga/Ge compris entre 0.4 et 0.8 favorise la formation de sites de gallium GaO5 et GaO6. Cependant, dans les verres germano-gallates avec un rapport supérieur à 1.5, l’introduction d’oxyde d’yttrium n’impacte pas la coordinence du gallium, les cations de gallium n'existent que sous forme d'unités tétraédriques. Ce phénomène est dû à la présence d'un ratio 2Ba/Ga supérieur à 1.5, qui assure une quantité suffisante de baryum pour compenser la charge négative du gallium. Par conséquent, il suffit de 1 mol% d'yttrium pour stabiliser efficacement la composition du verre et empêcher la cristallisation en surfaceAmong the glasses tailored for mid-infrared applications, heavy metal oxides glass composition Ga2O3 - GeO2 - BaO stand out due to their unique advantages. These oxide glasses have low phonon energy coupled with a glass transition temperature above 500°C, as well as mechanical properties and chemical durability similar to silica. The harmonious combination of these properties positions BGG glass as a superior alternative, offering improved performance compared to other glass families operating in the mid-infrared such as fluoride or chalcogenide. La structure amorphe des verres métalliques (VM) leur confère des résistances mécaniques hors du commun. Elle est également à l'origine des mécanismes de déformations plastiques qui leur sont spécifiques et qui se traduit par la localisation spatiale de la déformation menant à la création et la propagation de bandes de cisaillement. L'impact de ces mécanismes de déformation reste néanmoins encore mal connu concernant les sollicitions mécaniques complexes, il est par exemple très difficile de prédire les évolutions de l'usure d'un VM dans un système complexe et donc sa durée de vie qui est intimement liée à la perte de matière. Ces travaux ont ainsi pour but de comprendre la réponse mécanique des VM vis à vis des mécanismes de déformation qui leurs sont propres, lors d'essais de rayure, sur trois verres métalliques différents base Zr et Cu.La comparaison des essais de rayure à ceux d'indentation a révélé l'importance de la résistance au cisaillement dans les VM dès que l'indenteur exerce une force latérale, entraînant la création de bandes de cisaillement à l'avant du passage de l'indenteur. L'activation du mécanisme d'adoucissement propre aux VM a ainsi été mise en lumière. Ce dernier favorise alors l'enfoncement de l'indenteur lors de la rayure. Des modifications de la structure des VM étudiés, et donc des propriétés mécaniques, ont ensuite été réalisées à l'aide de traitements thermiques de relaxation et de cristallisation partielle permettant de discuter le rôle de la dureté mais aussi de l'importance de la ténacité. Ainsi le VM le plus dur n'est pas forcement, comme généralement admis dans la communauté scientifique, le verre possédant la plus grande résistance à la rayure. Grâces aux résultats obtenus, des stratégies ciblées pour les différents types de VM existants sont proposées afin de limiter leur usure lors de la rayureMetallic glasses (MGs) exhibit incredible mechanical properties arising from their particular amorphous structure. This structure is also responsible for the specific deformation mechanisms of MG leading to the nucleation and propagation of shear bands (SBs). Nevertheless, under complex loading, the deformation mechanisms remain to be understood, for example, it isnearly impossible to predict the wear behaviour and so, the lifetime which isdirectly linked to the wear loss of a metallic glass sample. This work aims to understand the mechanical behaviour of MGs, in light of their specific deformation mechanisms, under scratch test for three differents Zr- and Cu-based MGs.The analogy of indentation and scratch tests revealed the importance of the shear strength for MGs. Indeed, the introduction of a lateral force in the case of a scratch test induces the creation of SBs ahead of the tip of the indenter. The activation of the softening mechanism has also been pointed out, which leads to the sink in of the indenter during a scratch test. The study of thermally treated MGs (relaxed and partially crystalized) helps us revealing the impact of the hardness along with the fracture toughness on the wear resitance of a MG. Thereby, the MG showing the best wear resistance is not necessarily the hardest MG, as admitted by the scientific community. Eventually, different strategies in agreements with the results shown in this work, are discussed in order to minimize the wear during the scratch of a MG

Une étude sur le comportement mécanique des verres métalliques massifs et leurs nanocomposites a été réalisée. Elle traite la déformation hétérogène des verres métalliques et les perspectives de ductilisation par la dispersion fine des nanocristaux dans la matrice métallique amorphe. La déformation plastique des verres métalliques est fortement localisée dans des bandes de cisaillement. Un réarrangement atomique menant à une croissance rapide de volume libre local et à l'activation d'une ‘Zone de Cisaillement' constitue le mécanisme élémentaire de nucléation de bandes de cisaillement dans les verres métalliques. Dans ces bandes, la température augmente et la viscosité chute provoquant un adoucissement local et une rupture macroscopique quasi-fragile. Le volume libre d'excès dans les verres métalliques est mesuré pour la première fois par la méthode de diffraction de rayons-X en transmission. Cette méthode permet de donner une évidence expérimentale directe d'une croissance de volume libre dans la proximité des bandes de glissement au cours de la déformation et d'étudier les cinétiques de relaxation structurale. L'introduction des nanocristaux de tailles inférieures à l'épaisseur de la bande de glissement élémentaire par recuit contrôlé, réalisé sous faisceau de lumière synchrotron, permet d'améliorer la ductilité des BMG par durcissement de matériau dans les bandes de cisaillement et délocalisation de la déformation. Des essais de déformation in-situ dans le MET montrent que ce mécanisme est directement lié à la croissance des nanocristaux préexistants au cours de la déformation ainsi qu'à la germination autocatalytique de nouveaux cristaux. Le comportement du matériau dans les bandes de cisaillement actives contenant une dispersion de nanocristaux est comparé à celui d'un milieu semi-solide où le verre métallique est dans un état de liquide surfondu sous cisaillement et la phase solide est constituée des nanocristaux dont la fraction volumique augmente durant le cisaillement.

Ce travail de thèse contribue à étudier le comportement élasto-plastique au rayage du verre métallique massif Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5 par la méthode des éléments finis (MEF) et expérimentaux. Le critère de plasticité de type Drucker-Prager est utilisé, une méthode de remaillage est proposée afin d'éviter le problème de convergence qui vient de la grand contrainte cisaillement. Pour cela, le comportement au rayage est étudié par le changement de l'angle d'attaque, du coefficient de frottement local entre le matériau et l'indenteur. Ces influences sont valorisés par l'évolution des forces rayures, par la morphologie de l'échantillon, et ils montrent le mécanisme de changement des modes de rayage : du labourage à l'usinage avec la formation des copeaux. Les essais sont réalisés à l'aide de l'équipement du LARMAUR : Un nano-triboindenteur de type Hysitron Ti-950. La comparaison des résultats simulés et expérimentaux nous permettre d'évaluer la loi comportement utilisé et d'estimer la valeur de coefficient de frottement entre le matériau et l'indenteurThis thesis contributes to modeling of the elasto-plastic behavior in scratch test of a Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5 Bulk Metallic Glasses (BMG) by the finite element method and by experimental testing. The Drucker-Prager criterion is used and dedicated re-meshing method is proposed in order to solve the numerical problems classically encountered when modeling such a test and this with a controlled element population. The influence of friction coefficient as well as the angle of attack are investigated to understand the occurrence of two deformation mechanisms : plowing and cutting. Dans la présente thèse de doctorat je présente des résultats concernant des modèles désordonnés et frustrés venant de la physique statistique et de l'optimisation combinatoire. Comme application de la théorie des verres de spins, j'étudie le modèle de Blume, Emery et Griffiths désordonné et frustré. Ce modèle est traité dans l'approximation de champ moyen dans le cadre de la méthode des répliques A l'aide de l'Ansatz symétrique dans les répliques je présente une solution numérique complète puis je discute des effets de brisure de cette symétrie La stabilité de la solution symétrique a été Rudik et les régions instables identifiées Le diagramme de phase exhibe des transitions de premier et de second ordre. Le point tricritique persiste dans le modèle frustré, Ce qui est en accord avec des travaux antérieurs une version du modèle BEG avec un potentiel chimique désordonné a également été étudiée. les calculs confirment que le point tricritique apparaît à plus basse température quand il y a du désordre. Ensuite je considère le problème de la bipartition d'un graphe. Ce problème correspond du point de vue de la physique statistique h un verre de spins soumis h une contrainte d'aimantation totale nulle. je considère les propriétés statistiques des solutions de faible énergie engendrées par des algorithmes heuristiques. de tels algorithme sont en général conçus pour résoudre des problèmes d'optimisation combinatoire qui sont NP- difficiles. Plusieurs heuristiques ont 60 implémentées pour le problème de la bipartition de graphe. des lois d'échelle ont été obtenues : en particulier la moyenne et la variance du coût obéissent A une loi linéaire en N. Par conséquent le coût obtenu par des heuristiques est une quantité auto-moyennante. je suggère que cette propriété est générale valable aussi pour les solutions aléatoires pour les solutions quasi-optimales et pour les solutions optimales. En outre je propose une procédure pour comparer des algorithmes heuristiques. Cette procédure tient compte de la qualité de la solution aussi bien que du temps de calcul utilisé. Dans la troisième partie de ma thèse j'ai étudié en détail les propriétés h température nulle des verres de spins sur des graphes aléatoires lacunaires avec une coordination fixe. les verres de spins sur de tels graphes peuvent être considérés comme une approximation aux vrais verres de spins qui est plus réaliste que le modèle de Sherrington et Kirkpatrick. J'ai conçu un nouvel algorithme pour trouver les états fondamentaux. Aussi je teste numériquement une conjecture de Banavar, Sherrington et Sourlas qui donne la densité d'énergie du fondamental dans la limite de grande taille en fonction de la coordination. La distribution du paramètre d'ordre se révèle être non triviale et les données présentent une forte indication de la présence d'ultramétricité pour toutes les valeur de la coordination. This dissertation is dealing with the town of Telč and its way of living in the first half of the 20th century. The research is focused on the thorough analysis of local authorities from the social and occupational point of view, territorial origin and location of residence its various fellows. The main purpose of this is to idicate the changes which coincided with the influence of nationwide political, social and economic changes. The illustration of six Telč´s families with various professions charts their share which affected the social, cultural and public life of the town. The aim is to get an integral view of this period, therefore the grammar school staff have been included, because of their participatory role in local authorities and social life as well. Municipal and school celebrations have been included to illustrate the cultural backround of provincial town in the first half of the 20th century.

Abstract The occasion of Pythian 2 has been debated since antiquity. On the one hand, verses 5-6 imply celebration of a specific chariot victory.On the other hand, verses 9-12 imply Hieron has already had several successes with the chariot. Hieron’s only attested chariot victories are in the 29th Pythian festival, in 474 or 470 bc, and at Olympia in 468 bg. Both of these have been proposed as the occasion for Pythian 2.However, it is awkward for each of these views that neither Delphi nor Olympia is mentioned in the ode. The only clear historical reference in the ode is to a conflict between Locri and Rhegium, which occurred at some time within the years 478-476 bc (see below). It is likely that this conflict was a recent one when the ode was composed. This assumption is supported by two arguments from silence: Pythian 2 makes no reference either to the founding of Aitna (476/5 bc) or to the battle of Cumae (474 bc), and may thus reasonably be supposed to precede them.

This chapter describes Jewish solicitors from 1890 to 1939. In a London directory of 1883, there were forty-seven Jewish solicitors out of a total of 4,920; that is, slightly less than 1 per cent of solicitors were Jewish, a proportion smaller than the Jewish proportion of the population of London, where the vast majority of these Jewish practitioners would have been located. At that time, Jewish solicitors had been practising in England for a hundred years or more. Apart from the staple fare of solicitors' practices—conveyancing, probate, and litigation—Jewish firms, which were closely connected by family and communal ties with the merchant and shopkeeping classes, specialized in commercial work, and, if need be, in guiding clients through the bankruptcy courts. The chapter then shows how the first Sir George Lewis was a role model for later Jewish solicitors, both as a society lawyer and in his involvement with the arts world. It also examines the structure of Jewish law firms between the wars. Most were concentrated in the City, and were small; there were also a few firms connected with the Anglo-Jewish elite which represented banks and big business, certain others which acted for moneylenders or those in the world of the arts, and a few others associated with leading communal figures.

A hazai önkormányzati hitelezési piac eladósodása az önkormányzatok adósságkonszolidációját megelőzően sűrűn kutatott terület volt. A kutatások elemezték az eladósodás felfutásának lehetséges okait és azok magyarázatait, valamint a nemzetközi modellek és példák tapasztalatait felhasználva tettek kísérletet a hazai önkormányzati rendszer eladósodási modelljének azonosítására. A kutatások megegyeztek abban, hogy a szabály alapú modell nem alkalmazható a hazai gyakorlatra, tekintettel arra, hogy a 2011 előtt életben lévő jogszabályok2 megszegésének semmilyen jogi szankciója nem létezett, azok betartása jogi úton nem volt kikényszeríthető (Jókay & Veres-Bocskai, 2009). Ezért a piac által szabályozott modell írta le leginkább a magyarországi eladósodási folyamatokat (Homolya & Szigel, 2008, Vigvári 2009A, 2009B). Az önkormányzati hitelezési piacot részletesen kutató tanulmányomban (Gál, 2011) arra a következtetésre jutottam, hogy a nemzetközileg is ismert modellek kiegészítése szükséges lehet a hazai eladósodási és szabályozási folyamatok tekintetében. Az alkalmazható modellt a „kockázatvállalás alapú verseny” modelljeként írtam le. A 2011-2014 között több lépésben lezajlott adósságkonszolidáció, a hazai önkormányzati rendszer ismételt recentralizálását vonta maga után, mely a korábbi – konszolidáció előtti – megállapítások, folyamatok és tendenciák ismételt felülvizsgálatát indokolta. A tanulmány ennek néhány elemét igyekszik áttekinteni. A tanulmány rávilágít arra, hogy az eladósodás jogszabályi kereteinek megteremtésével a központilag szabályozott modell aktív és passzív kontroll elemei is megjelentek Magyarországon. Ezek a kontrolok ugyan beváltották a hozzájuk fűzött reményeket, a szektor külső eladósodása csak konszolidált mértékben épült fel újra. Ugyanakkor a belső, szállítói oldalról felépülő eladósodás továbbra is a szektor törékeny likviditási helyzetére hívja fel a figyelmet, melynek további vizsgálata indokolt és szükséges.

This chapter revolves a one-day practice for 200 pedagogy students at three primary schools in the municipality. The practice is completed in March when the students have studied the vocation for eight months. Lectures and seminars build up to this takeover in advance. The week before the day of practice, the students are out in the practice schools and observe the class they are going to take over and talk to the teachers at the school. Practice reports, reflection notes and logbook notes show that no matter what we do to link theory to practice at class, it is the one day in the role of teachers at a school that seems to make the big difference. When students become responsible for a class, they behave in a completely different way than when they are responsible for teaching fellow students. At the practice school, they show up well in advance and take the responsibility they have received. The students’ behaviour after the school takeover may indicate that the experiences from the real world, with associated responsibility, have given increased understanding of the vocation, which in turn contributes to increased motivation for the study programme.

Abstract Fortunato Depero (1892-1960) arrived in Rome in December 1913. He was 21, penniless, and had been attracted to the capital by the news circulating in his hometown about the Futurist renewal of Italian culture. He was born in Fondo in the Trentino and grew up in Rovereto, a small town then belonging to the Austro-Hungarian empire. His education had been mitteleuropean in outlook, and his first artistic attempts in the fields of literature and drawing followed the models of Jugendstil, Art Nouveau, and Symbolism. After failing the entrance exam at the Academy of Arts in Vienna, Depero took up an apprenticeship with a local sculptor and worked part-time for a decorator.1 However, carving tombstones and moulding gypsum cornices did not satisfy his artistic ambition, which had been spurred by the Vienna Secession painters and the angst-ridden illustrations of Alfred Kubin. His second public exhibition, held in February 1913 in a local stationery shop, presented a collection of ‘grotesque art ‘2 made up of gruesome portraits, deformed figures, and gargoyle-like caricatures. In June 1913 he published a slim volume, Spezzature, which contained examples of his own poetry and prose, accom-panied by rather bizarre illustrations. Alto Adige used the term ‘Futurist ‘3 to characterize the pieces that evoked big-city life (e.g. ‘Impressioneritmica ‘) or expressed Depero ‘s ‘forceful impetus towards the Infinite ‘, his ‘vast dreams of impossible greatness ‘, and his desire for a ‘life of violence ‘. Passamani believes that some of the verses were directly inspired by the anthology I poetifuturisti, published in 1912 by the Edizioni futuriste di ‘Poesia ‘. Scudiero has since discovered a correspondence between Marinetti and the Rovereto journalist and poet Sottochiesa and has suggested that the latter ‘s collection of poems, La nova voce (Rovereto: Tipografia Grandi, 1912), had had a stimulating influence on Depero.

This paper argues that liberal democratic politics in Australia is in a life-threatening crisis. Australia is on the verge of slipping into a techno-feudal (post-capitalist) and post-political (new Centrist) state of perpetual emergency. Citizens in Australia, be they of the Left or Right, must make an urgent attempt to wrest power from an increasingly non-political Centrism. Within this Centrism, government is deeply captured by the international corporate interests of Big Tech, Big Natural Resources, Big Media, and Big Pharma, as beholden to the economic necessities of the neoliberal world order (Big Finance). Australia now illustrates what the post-political ‘new normal’ of a high-tech enabled bio-security state actually looks like. It may even be that the liberal democratic state is now little more than a legal fiction in Australia. This did not happen over-night, but Australia has been sliding in this direction for the past three decades. The paper outlines that slide and shows how the final bump down (covid) has now positioned Australia as a world leader among post-political bio-security states.

Objective. To assess the comparative benefits and harms across three airway management approaches (bag valve mask [BVM], supraglottic airway [SGA], and endotracheal intubation [ETI]) by emergency medical services in the prehospital setting, and how the benefits and harms differ based on patient characteristics, techniques, and devices. Data sources. We searched electronic citation databases (Ovid® MEDLINE®, CINAHL®, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and Scopus®) from 1990 to September 2020 and reference lists, and posted a Federal Register notice request for data. Review methods. Review methods followed Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Evidence-based Practice Center Program methods guidance. Using pre-established criteria, studies were selected and dual reviewed, data were abstracted, and studies were evaluated for risk of bias. Meta-analyses using profile-likelihood random effects models were conducted when data were available from studies reporting on similar outcomes, with analyses stratified by study design, emergency type, and age. We qualitatively synthesized results when meta-analysis was not indicated. Strength of evidence (SOE) was assessed for primary outcomes (survival, neurological function, return of spontaneous circulation [ROSC], and successful advanced airway insertion [for SGA and ETI only]). Results. We included 99 studies (22 randomized controlled trials and 77 observational studies) involving 630,397 patients. Overall, we found few differences in primary outcomes when airway management approaches were compared. • For survival, there was moderate SOE for findings of no difference for BVM versus ETI in adult and mixed-age cardiac arrest patients. There was low SOE for no difference in these patients for BVM versus SGA and SGA versus ETI. There was low SOE for all three comparisons in pediatric cardiac arrest patients, and low SOE in adult trauma patients when BVM was compared with ETI. • For neurological function, there was moderate SOE for no difference for BVM compared with ETI in adults with cardiac arrest. There was low SOE for no difference in pediatric cardiac arrest for BVM versus ETI and SGA versus ETI. In adults with cardiac arrest, neurological function was better for BVM and ETI compared with SGA (both low SOE). • ROSC was applicable only in cardiac arrest. For adults, there was low SOE that ROSC was more frequent with SGA compared with ETI, and no difference for BVM versus SGA or BVM versus ETI. In pediatric patients there was low SOE of no difference for BVM versus ETI and SGA versus ETI. • For successful advanced airway insertion, low SOE supported better first-pass success with SGA in adult and pediatric cardiac arrest patients and adult patients in studies that mixed emergency types. Low SOE also supported no difference for first-pass success in adult medical patients. For overall success, there was moderate SOE of no difference for adults with cardiac arrest, medical, and mixed emergency types. • While harms were not always measured or reported, moderate SOE supported all available findings. There were no differences in harms for BVM versus SGA or ETI. When SGA was compared with ETI, there were no differences for aspiration, oral/airway trauma, and regurgitation; SGA was better for multiple insertion attempts; and ETI was better for inadequate ventilation. Conclusions. The most common findings, across emergency types and age groups, were of no differences in primary outcomes when prehospital airway management approaches were compared. As most of the included studies were observational, these findings may reflect study design and methodological limitations. Due to the dynamic nature of the prehospital environment, the results are susceptible to indication and survival biases as well as confounding; however, the current evidence does not favor more invasive airway approaches. No conclusion was supported by high SOE for any comparison and patient group. This supports the need for high-quality randomized controlled trials designed to account for the variability and dynamic nature of prehospital airway management to advance and inform clinical practice as well as emergency medical services education and policy, and to improve patient-centered outcomes.

Los Focos de Innovación definen tres ejes transversales, que buscan alinear las tendencias de innovación con los retos sociales, ambientales y económicos. Ejes transversales de los Focos de Innovación: 1. La transformación verde de las tecnologías, la industria y la sociedad. 2. El desarrollo e implementación de tecnologías digitales avanzadas. 3. El equilibro entre la sostenibilidad social, económica y ambiental. El primer eje promueve que los diversos focos de innovación contemplen la generación de innovaciones que transformen a la industria y a la sociedad a alcanzar un modelo de vida sostenible, donde la actividad humana no ponga en peligro el planeta y de lugar a la regeneración del medio ambiente. El segundo eje provoca un desafío para que las innovaciones logren desarrollar e integrar las tecnologías avanzadas a los diversos sectores, acortar brechas tecnológicas y proporcionar nuevas soluciones a mercados existentes mediante el aprovechamiento de la inteligencia artificial (AI), la automatización, la robótica, la electrónica, análisis de datos masivos (big data) u otras tecnologías emergentes. Finalmente, el tercer eje busca el equilibrio entre el desarrollo económico, el desarrollo social y la conservación del planeta, es por ello que se enfoca a que las innovaciones incorporen el cumplimiento de los ODS. Este equilibrio debe permitir generar el desarrollo de nuevos productos y servicios basados en el aprovechamiento sostenible de los recursos naturales y en miras a proponer una mayor calidad de vida a los habitantes. Porphyra species (commonly known as ‘nori’ or ‘purple laver’) are edible red seaweeds rich in proteins, vitamins and other highly valued biogenic compounds. For years Porphyra has been cultured using seeded nets extended in the open sea, and its biomass consumed primarily in the Far East. While demands for international markets have increased steadily at an average of 20% per year, supplies are on the verge and not expected to meet future demands. Alternatively, land-based cultivation of seaweed has become attractive in the mariculture industry since (1) important growth parameters can be controlled, (2) is environmentally friendly and (3) perfectly matches with integrated aquaculture leading to sustainable, high quality products. During the last few years a tank cultivation technology for Porphyra has been developed at the Israeli institution. This technology is based on indoor production of asexual spores and their subsequent growth to 1-2 mm seedlings. The seedlings are then transferred to outdoor tanks and ponds when seawater temperatures drop to 20 °C, or below, and days become shorter during winter time. However, the current technology efficiently serves only about 100 m2 of ponds during one growth season. In order to produce seedlings in sufficient amounts, it is critical to address both technical and biological aspects of seedling production, securing optimal up-scale to commercial-size cultivation farms. We hypothesize that massive production of spores is related to thalli origin, thalli age and sporulation triggers, and that seedling survival and their subsequent growth potential is determined by the seawater quality and overall indoor growth conditions imposed. A series of bio-reactors were constructed and tested in which spore release and spore growth were separately studied. The main assessment criteria for optimal viability of the seedlings will be by determining their electron transport rate using PAM fluorometry and by subsequent growth and biomass yields in outdoor ponds. Altogether the project showed (1), controlled sporulation is possible in big outdoor/growth chamber settings provided initial stock material (small frozen seedlings) is at hand, (2), contamination problems can be almost completely avoided if stock material is properly handled (clean as possible and partially dehydrated prior to freezing), (3), spore release can significantly be enhance using high nutrient levels during thawing for P. yezoensis and P. haitanensis, but not for P. rosengurttii, (4), PAM fluorometry is an efficient tool to estimate growth capacity in both seedlings and juvenile thalli. The BARD funding also served to explore other aspects of Porphyra biology and cultivation. For example, the taxonomical status of Porphyra strains used in this study was defined (see appendix), and the potential use of this seaweed in bioremediation was well substantiated. In addition, BARD funding supported a number of opportunities and activities in the Israeli lab, direct or indirectly related to the initial objectives of the project such as: additional molecular work in other seaweeds, description of at least 2 new species for the Israeli Mediterranean, and continuous support for the writing of a book on Global Change and applied aspects of seaweeds. The technology for Porphyra cultivation in land-based ponds is readily available. This study corroborated previous know-how of Porphyra growth in tanks and ponds, and yet offers important improvements regarding seedling production and their handling for successful cultivation. This study supported various other activities opening additional important issues in the biology/cultivation/use of Porphyra and other seaweeds.
