Анотація:
The impact of Si levels on electrical conductivity (EC) and hardness in Al-Mg-Si 6xxx aluminum conductor alloys was studied at different aging times. Three experimental alloys with the Si levels of 0.4, 0.66, 0.89 wt.% containing a constant Mg content of 0.65 wt.%, designated as Si4, Si6, and Si9, were selected. It is found that the average peak hardness of Si4, Si6, and Si9 alloys were 114, 127 and 140 HV, respectively. The Si9 alloy with the highest Si level exhibited the highest peak hardness, which was consistent with the number density of strengthening precipitates. However, the EC of all studied alloys at peak aging was lower than the minimum required one (52.5 %IACS). The higher Si level in the alloy, the longer aging time required to enhance EC. The Si4, Si6, and Si9 alloys reached the minimum required EC after 3, 5 and 34 h aging time, of which the corresponding hardness was 103, 119 and 111 HV, respectively. Consequently, the Si6 alloy represented a better trade-off between EC and hardness among three studied alloys. The quantitative analyses of precipitates at peak aging and overaging states were carried out by a transmission electron microscope (TEM) investigation.

The future development of SiC device technology depends on the ability to form good ohmic and Schottky contacts. SiC fiber-reinforced SiC composites have been accepted to have considerable potential as an engineering structural ceramic for numerous high-temperature applications, such as various heat engine components. In this study, the microstructure of matrix, fiber, and matrix/fiber interface of SiC fiber (SCS-6, Textron)-reinforced nitrogen-treated SiC composites was characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Cross-sectional TEM samples were prepared by mechanical grinding, dimpling, and ion-milling. The samples were analyzed using a Philips EM400T TEM and a Noran ultrathin window Micro-Z detector.The α-Si3N4 was formed in the porous SiC matrix by nitriding (Fig. 1(a)). The porous SiC matrix can permit easy and continuous penetration of the nitriding gas and rapid escape of the reaction and volatilization products, thus favoring vapor-phase reactions. In the case of huge SiC grains, the α-Si3N4 was formed at the surface of the huge SiC grains. Rod-shaped Si2N2O phase was often observed in the porous matrix. Figs. 1(b), (c), and (d) show electron diffraction patterns obtained from the α-SiC, α-Si3N4, Si2N2O phases, respectively.

Анотація:
This article describes the analysis of the polytype transformation of SiC ingot. We analyzed the sample by Raman spectroscopy and TEM observation. The result of the analysis shows the polytype is transformed from 4H-SiC to 6H-SiC, and then returned to 4H-SiC. We found that the direction of the c-axis is not the same as the growth direction of the ingot. And also we found the existence of 8H-SiC at the interface between 6H-SiC and 4H-SiC region by the selected area diffraction pattern and confirmed it by HR-TEM observation.

Si3N4/SiC nanocomposites have been shown to exhibit excellent strength and fracture toughness compared to monolithic Si3N4 materials. Recently, the microstructure and chemistry of Si3N4-based nanocomposites fabricated by hot-pressing amorphous Si-C-N precursor powders has been investigated. In the present work, our studies on the microstructure of Si3N4/SiC nanocomposites made by hot-pressing the mixture of Si3N4 and SiC commercial powders are reported.Si3N4/SiC nanocomposites were prepared by hot-pressing at 1750 °C for 1 hour at 40 Mpa in a nitrogen atmosphere, with sintering aids of 5.5 wt% Y2O3 and 3 wt% Al2O3. The details of the processing procedure have been reported elsewhere. Two different materials were investigated in this work: specimen A consisting of 5 vol% β-SiC; and specimen B consisting of 5 vol% α-SiC. TEM specimens were prepared by conventional procedures. The microstructure and chemical composition were studied in the University of Michigan Electron Microbeam Analysis Laboratory on a JEOL 2000FX.

Silicon carbide is a large band gap semiconductor under development for microelectronic device applications involving high temperatures, high frequencies, and high power. Single crystal thin films of high purity β-SiC can be fabricated by epitaxial CVD onto a <100> silicon wafer substrate. Epitaxial growth is achieved by a two-step process in which the surface of the silicon substrate is first converted to SiC by heating in the presence of hydrocarbon vapors, Despite the large lattice mismatch, this process results in an epitaxial film of β-SiC 10nm in thickness, upon which the SiC crystal is then chemically vapor deposited. Relatively thick (20 microns) crack-free films of SiC can thus be fabricated, although significant problems remain, such as lattice constant and thermal expansivity mismatches, and metallization and passivation of the surface. These reasons have provided the motivation for a detailed examination of interface structures in β-SiC thin films using HRTEM imaging of cross-sectional specimens.

Ces travaux de thèses ont pour objectif de présenter les résultats obtenus sur l'assemblage de deux couples de matériaux métal - céramiques par thermocompression : Inconel®625 / Alumine et TZM / Carbure de silicium. Elle se place dans la continuité des résultats obtenus sur des assemblages similaires, au sein du laboratoire IRCER, en étudiant la faisabilité de liaisons direct et de liaison après préoxydation de la partie métallique. Une partie est dédiée à la compréhension du mécanisme d’oxydation de l’inconel®625 en utilisant une thermobalance à insertion à chaud. A l’aide des cinétiques obtenues, le mécanisme d’oxydation est alors proposé et les conditions de préoxydation pour la partie d’assemblage suivante ont pu être déterminées. Ensuite au cours de ce manuscrit sont rapportés les procédés utilisés et les résultats obtenus après variations de paramètres tels que la température ou le temps de palier de traitement thermique sur les assemblages des deux couples. L'absence de formation d'une interphase pour le couple Inconel®625 / Alumine et la formation d'une interphase complexe pour le couple TZM / Carbure de silicium permette de proposer deux études différentes de liaison céramique- métal. Une partie est également consacrée à la caractérisation de la liaison obtenue, dans chaque cas, afin de déterminer sa tenue et expliquer ses propriétés à l'aide de la microscopie électronique à balayage mais aussi une simulation numérique pour le couple Inconel®625 / Alumine et des tests de tractions pour le couple TZM / Carbure de silicium
This work has for objective to present the results obtained for the ceramic-metal bonding by hot-pressing in two cases: Inconel®625 / Alumina and TZM / Silicon carbide. All the thesis take place according to the last results obtained for similar bonding, in the laboratory IRCER, by studying the feasibility of direct bonding and bonding after pre-oxidising the metal part. A part of this study is then dedicated to the oxidation behaviour of inconel®625 under CO2 using a thermobalance with a sample hot introduction. Using the oxidation kinetics obtained, the reaction mechanism is proposed and the conditions for the metal pre-oxidation determined.Then during the manuscript are presented the processes and the results obtained after variations of parameters such as temperature and the heat treatment time for the two couples of materials. The absence of inter-phase formation in the couple Inconel®625 / Alumina and the formation of a complex inter-phase in the couple TZM / Silicon carbide allow us to propose two studies with different metal-ceramic bonding.A last part is dedicated to the characterization and the understanding of the bonding obtained in each case. To explain the properties of the samples obtained we used scaning electron microscopy but also numerical simulation for the first couple Inconel®625 / Alumina and tensile test for the second couple TZM / Silicon carbide

Over the last few years, TEM has become a powerful technique to study cracks and specially crack tips. However, the number of publications including TEM results has not grown as it was expected. The main reason for this might be difficulties in the sample preparation. In this work we present a novel FIB sample preparation technique which has proved to be an ideal tool for preparing cross sectional samples containing crack tips. The morphology of intergranular stress corrosion cracking (IGSCC) has been investigated in Alloy 600 subjected to constant load and slow strain rate tests in simulated primary circuit pressurized water reactor conditions. Cracks were observed to nucleate at high-angle grain boundaries and propagate to depths of a few tens of micrometer along such boundaries, still in the initiation stage. Electron diffraction, energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) have been used to identify the different corrosion products and precipitates. Elemental mapping was employed to reveal changes in composition in the crack tip area. Major observations at cracks and grain boundaries include: the presence of different oxides in different locations, differences in grain boundary oxides and open crack/free surface oxides. These observations suggest that IGSCC involves oxygen diffusion through a porous oxide region along grain boundaries to the bare metal. This is a novel concept that offers an alternative to previous mechanisms proposed in the literature e.g. H embrittlement, slip-dissolution, etc., for which no supporting evidence has been found.

Silicon carbide is a promising wide bandgap semiconductormaterial for high-temperature, high-power, and high-frequencydevice applications. However, there are still a number offactors that are limiting the device performance. Among them,one of the most important and critical factors is the formationof low resistivity Ohmic contacts and high-temperature stableSchottky diodes on silicon carbide.

In this thesis, different metals (TiW, Ti, TiC, Al, and Ni)and different deposition techniques (sputtering andevaporation) were suggested and investigated for this purpose.Both electrical and material characterizations were performedusing various techniques, such as I-V, C-V, RBS, XRD, XPS,LEED, SEM, AFM, and SIMS.

For the Schottky contacts to n- and p-type 4H-SiC, sputteredTiW Schottky contacts had excellent rectifying behavior afterannealing at 500 ºC in vacuum with a thermally stableideality factor of 1.06 and 1.08 for n- and p-type,respectively. It was also observed that the SBH for p-type SiC(ΦBp) strongly depends on the choice the metal with alinear relationship ΦBp= 4.51 - 0.58Φm, indicating no strong Fermi-level pinning.Finally, the behavior of Schottky diodes was investigated byincorporation of size-selected Au nano-particles in Ti Schottkycontacts on silicon carbide. The reduction of the SBH isexplained by using a simple dipole layer approach, withenhanced electric field at the interface due to the small sizeof the circular patch (Au nano-particles) and large differenceof the barrier height between two metals (Ti and Au) on both n-and p-SiC.

For the Ohmic contacts, titanium carbide (TiC) was used ascontacts to both n- and p-type 4H-SiC epilayers as well as onAl implanted layers. The TiC contacts were epitaxiallydeposited using a co-evaporation method with an e-beam Tisource and a Knudsen cell for C60, in a UHV system at low substrate temperature(500 ºC). In addition, we extensively investigatedsputtered TiW (weight ratio 30:70) as well as evaporated NiOhmic contacts on both n- and p-type epilayers of SiC. The bestOhmic contacts to n-type SiC are annealed Ni (>950ºC)with the specific contact resistance of ≈ 8× 10-6Ω cm2with doping concentration of 1.1 × 10-19cm-3while annealed TiW and TiC contacts are thepreferred contacts to p-type SiC. From long-term reliabilitytests at high temperature (500 ºC or 600 ºC) invacuum and oxidizing (20% O2/N2) ambient, TiW contacts with a platinum cappinglayer (Pt/Ti/TiW) had stable specific contact resistances for>300 hours.

O presente trabalho focaliza as maneiras como o Diabo é apresentado na literatura brasileira contemporânea especificamente nos contos O hóspede, de Frei Betto, Eu e Bebu na hora neutra da madrugada, de Rubem Braga, Alma, vendo e Belzebu.com, de Luis Fernando Veríssimo, Lênin desce aos infernos, de Paulo Coelho e Nostalgia do amor ausente, de Walmor Santos. Na busca para o alcance do objetivo proposto pesquisou-se as três formas principais como Satã aparece na literatura e na teologia, que são apresentadas nos três primeiros capítulos, a saber: a face de anjo, a face de besta e a face humana. No quarto capítulo é feita a análise dos contos supracitados enfocando com qual das faces propostas na pesquisa o Diabo é apresentado. Verificou-se ainda que este personagem passou por diversas metamorfoses ao longo da história e, apesar de ter perdido o poder de impor o medo, continua sendo importante no meio teológico bem como um dos maiores personagens da literatura de todos os tempos.

Abstract : This paper focuses on the ways that the Devil is presented in contemporary brazilian literature specifically tales O hóspede, of Frei Betto, Eu e Bebu na hora neutra da madrugada, of Rubem Braga, Alma, vendo and Belzebu.com, of Luis Fernando Veríssimo, Lênin desce aos infernos, of Paulo Coelho and Nostalgia do amor ausente, of Walmor Santos. In seeking to achieve the proposed objective was investigated three main ways as Satan appears in literature and theology, which are presented in the first three chapters, namely: the angel face, the face of the beast and the human face. In the fourth chapter the analysis is made of the afore mentioned tales focusing on which of the proposed faces in the research presented is the Devil. It was also found that,this,character,has.gone,through several metamorphoses throughout history and despite having lost the power to impose fear, remains important amid theological as well as one of the greatest literary characters of all times

SiC is a material currently under consideration to be used in future generations of fission and fusion reactors where it will be subjected to high temperatures and significant fluxes of energetic neutrons. The work reported in this thesis aims to answer some outstanding issues of the behaviour of SiC at high temperature during irradiation by high-energy neutrons in combination with a build-up of helium (from both transmutation reactions and by direct implantation). These processes have been simulated by in-situ ion-irradiation / TEM at the MIAMI and JANNuS facilities. This thesis contains the results of experiments which investigated the nucleation and growth of helium bubbles in SiC and the behaviour of these helium bubbles under high energy heavy ion-irradiation. Our conclusions are that helium bubbles in SiC are extremely stable at high temperatures and during high-energy ion-irradiation. However, we have discovered that there is a significant effect on the bubbles attributable to either electron beam irradiation alone or the synergistic effect of the electron beam and ionirradiation which causes helium bubbles to shrink.

Desse modo, cabe evidenciar os aspectos mais importantes de sua reflex?o metaf?sica, a fim de chegar ao conceito de Deus como A Exist?ncia (Ipsum esse subsistens). S?o Tom?s, para atingir esse resultado, deve demonstrar que, se todos os entes acess?veis ? percep??o humana existem por outro (ab alio), ent?o deve haver pelo menos um ser que exista por si (ens a se). ? este ser que responde pela causa primeira de tudo o mais que se possa afirmar, com verdade, que exista, no sentido forte do termo.

Many discussions about the role of the school are on the agenda, in an increasingly complex society. Sociologists, educators, anthropologists, researchers of different areas seek that role. The objective of this dissertation is to contribute what we can consider the central role for the physics teaching, citizenship training. We have elaborated a didactic proposal to increase the interest of high school students on issues of social relevance and, throughout it, to promote the formation of attitudes of social responsibility, enhancing the formation of a more politically and socially active citizen. For the preparation of the proposal, studies were made on education for citizenship and on attitudes change, using as its main theoretical foundation the researches on the Science, Technology and Society curricular emphasis. The teaching of Nuclear Physics was integrated to our proposal, due to its pedagogical potential for the discussion of social, political and economic subjects related to scientific concepts and associated technologies. The educational proposal we have produced was applied on a high school class of a private school at Natal-RN. It was composed from the controversial issue involving the installation of nuclear power plants in Brazilian northeast. The methodology of role playing, in which students assumed social roles and produced specific subsidies for a public hearing and a later referendum, both simulated. In the analysis of the implementation of the proposal, we highlighted the difficulties but also the possibilities and the relevance of exercising skills such as reasoning, finding information, and arguing about of social problems. The results of the research showed the possibility of meaningful learning on Nuclear Physics contents, through this social, political, economic, scientific and technological contextualization using a controversial and real issue together with mechanisms that trigger for greater popular participation, as public hearing. It has also been identified changes in attitude by some students about issues related to Nuclear Physics. We hope, through this dissertation, to contribute to the formation of future citizens as well as to the initiative of teachers-researchers with pedagogical aims similar to those in the present work

All Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) as well as international carriers are moving voice services from the legacy Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to Voice over IP (VoIP). The benefit is that VoIP traffic can be easily rerouted at any moment, thus giving companies a variety of options as traffic can be rerouted to any carrier of choice leading to different Quality of Service (QoS) levels (and thus agreements) as well as different prices to choose from. With a fierce competition for the telecom companies involved in the voice traffic hubbing business, this new landscape offers not only opportunities but also opens the system to vulnerabilities. The stakes are actually quite high: If harm can be done to one of these international carriers, other companies will route away their traffic. The result will be significant financial damages for the company as well as a serious harm to its reputation. The aim of this paper is to raise awareness that internationalcarriers and in particular their VoIP traffic can be exposed to debilitating attacks to harm these systems that are critical for our everyday life. The experimentation in this project demonstrates with a hands-on example how a major carrier can be hacked and rendered useless. In particular, we craft a framework for testing the security of interconnects between MNOs and international carriers. The central point of the paper will be to demonstrate how easy it can be to attack major carriers in the market: using common open source tools without having any information in advance. Moreover, the goal is to understand how the market functions, how interconnects between companies are built, where the weaknesses are, and which solutions can thwart those threats and secure these systems.

Using a laser interferometric method described elsewhere,1 we report on isothermal dimensional stability of the following materials: Invar, Super Invar, Kovar, molybdenum, TZM, elkonite, Al2O3, Si3N4, SiC, copper, fused silica (quartz), TiAlV, Kovar/Kovar welds, and composite structures of Mo/SiC, Mo/Si3N4, and Mo/Invar. Measurements were made over a two-month period with samples maintained in vacuum near 60°C. Quartz and Super Invar were used for secondary length references; copper for a secondary thermal reference. Invar was found to elongate ~1 ppm/month, molybdenum varies with manufacturer as does Kovar, Kovar/Kovar spot welds and seam welds shrank ~1 ppm/month, molybdenum composite structures shrank ~1 ppm/month, TZM, TiAlV, Si3N4, Al2O3 and SiC were all stable to ~0.1 ppm/month.

Abstract The SiCp/Al composite was fabricated by a plasma spraying technique. By mean of OM SEM, TEM, XRD, SAED, EDS techniques, the microstructures for sprayed SiCp/Al composite were investigated in detail. The composite consisted of SiC and Al, along with single crystal Si and amorphorous Si, and tiny Al2O3. On the whole, the interfaces between SiC particle and Al bonded well, and tiny reactants like Al2O3 can be found near the interfaces. The mechanisms of chemical reactions were given during spraying. The nano-Al grains and nano-Al particles were seen in the sprayed composite. The formation mechanism of nano-Al grains and particles of SiCp/ Al composite was explained. Some interface relationships existed in the sprayed composite.

Magnesium, the lightest structural metal, is of significance to improve energy efficiency in various applications. Mg/SiC nanocomposites were successfully fabricated by ultrasonic cavitation based dispersion of SiC nanoparticles in Mg melts. As compared to pure magnesium, the mechanical properties including tensile strength and yield strength of the Mg/SiC nanocomposites were improved significantly, while the good ductility of pure Mg casting was retained. The grain size of the pure magnesium was refined when SiC nanoparticles were added. In the microstructure of Mg/SiC nanocomposites, there are still quite some SiC clusters, but in the areas free of large clusters, the SiC nanoparticles were dispersed very well. TEM study of the interface between SiC nanoparticles and magnesium matrix indicates a good bonding, but no chemical reaction between SiC nanoparticles and magnesium matrix.

The PBMR fuel consists of TRISO Coated Particles (CPs) in a graphite matrix. The three layer system, IPyC-SiC-OPyC, forms the primary barrier to fission product release, with the SiC layer acting as the main pressure boundary of the particle. The containment of fission products inside the CPs is however a function of the operating temperature and microstructure of the SiC layer. During accident conditions, the CPs will reach higher temperatures than normal operating conditions. The Fuel Design department of PBMR is therefore investigating various characteristics of the SiC layer, especially nano characteristics at variant conditions. The integrity of the interface between the SiC and Inner PyC layers is also important for fission product retention and therefore interesting TEM images of this region of the experimental PBMR TRISO particles will be shown. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) images of the microstructure of TRISO coated particles of three different experimental batches after annealing will be discussed. Particles annealed at 1980°C for 1 hour revealed that the inner PyC layer debonded from the SiC layer. Changes observed in the diffraction rings are evidence that the PyC structure is becoming organized or anisotropic. The SiC layer, on the other hand, did not show any changes as a result of annealing. Only the cubic 3C-SiC phase was observed for a limited number of grains analyzed. The nano hardness and elasticity measurements of the three test batches were done using a CSM Nano Hardness Tester. These results are compared to indicate possible differences between the 1 hour and 5 hour annealing time as a function of annealing temperature from 1000°C to 1980°C. The variation of hardness and elasticity as a function of temperature for the three experimental batches are identified and discussed. This preliminary TEM investigation and nano hardness measurements have contributed new knowledge about the effect of high temperature annealing on the microstructure of TRISO CPs produced by PBMR.

Mechanisms by which fission products (especially silver [Ag]) migrate across the coating layers of tristructural isotropic (TRISO) coated fuel particles designed for next generation nuclear reactors have been the subject of a variety of research activities due to the complex nature of the migration mechanisms. This paper presents results obtained from the electron microscopic examination of selected irradiated TRISO coated particles from fuel compact 1-3-1 irradiated in the first Advanced Gas Reactor experiment (AGR-1) that was performed as part of the Next Generation Nuclear Plant (NGNP) project. It is of specific interest to study particles of this compact as they were fabricated using a different carrier gas composition ratio for the SiC layer deposition compared with the baseline coated fuel particles reported on previously. Basic scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and SEM montage investigations of the particles indicate a correlation between the distribution of fission product precipitates and the proximity of the inner pyrolytic carbon (IPyC)-silicon carbide (SiC) interface to the fuel kernel. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) samples were sectioned by focused ion beam (FIB) technique from the IPyC layer, the SiC layer and the IPyC-SiC interlayer of the coated fuel particle. Detailed TEM and scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) were performed to identify fission products and characterize their distribution across the IPyC and SiC layers in the areas examined. Results indicate the presence of palladium-silicon-uranium (Pd-Si-U), Pd-Si, Pd-U, Pd, U, U-Si precipitates in the SiC layer and the presence of Pd-Si-U, Pd-Si, U-Si, U precipitates in the IPyC layer. No Ag-containing precipitates are evident in the IPyC or SiC layers. With increased distance from the IPyC-SiC interface, there are less U-containing precipitates, however, such precipitates are present across nearly the entire SiC layer.

Eligibility criteria: The inclusion of TCM CPGs adopts the following approach: 15 CPGs were randomly selected from six authoritative Chinese medicine societies (China Association of Chinese Medicine, China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, China Association for Acupuncture and Moxibustion, World federation of Chinese medicine societies, Doctor Society of integrative Medicine, Chinese Medical Doctor Association) and guidelines published by other societies, less than 15 are included. We discarded older versions and duplicate published guidelines.

W ostatnich latach niepokojący trend w zakresie wzrostu liczby występowania przypadków chorób niezakaźnych sprawił, że zwiększyło się zainteresowanie kwestią tzw. „zdrowej żywności”. Pomimo ogromu regulacji dotyczących żywności, pojęcie „zdrowej żywności” nie jest ujęte w żadne ramy prawne, a jego rozumienie przez społeczeństwo jest niejednolite. Czym zatem jest według społeczeństwa „zdrowa żywność”? Niniejszy raport zawiera wyniki badania ankietowego, którego celem było uzyskanie odpowiedzi na to pytanie. Badanie ankietowe składało się z dwóch części – z jednej strony przeprowadzono badanie na reprezentatywnej grupie 1041 osób, a z drugiej strony przebadano 100 przedsiębiorców z branży żywnościowej. Uzyskane wyniki badania ankietowego stanowią dla zespołu badawczego punkt wyjścia do dalszych badań interdyscyplinarnych (nauki prawne, nauki chemiczne, nauki medyczne) w obszarze problemowym „zdrowej żywności”.

Sztuczna inteligencja (SI) coraz częściej wpływa na życie jednostek oraz funkcjonowanie społeczeństw jako całości. W ostatnim czasie rośnie również znaczenie sztucznej inteligencji w biznesie, w którym posiada ona coraz szerszy zakres zastosowań. Definicje sztucznej inteligencji różnią się w zależności od kontekstu, w którym to pojęcie jest używane. W najprostszym ujęciu przez sztuczną inteligencję rozumie się systemy lub maszyny na nich oparte, które naśladują ludzką inteligencję podczas wykonywania określonych zadań i dodatkowo mogą się interaktywnie doskonalić (uczyć) na podstawie zbieranych informacji. Postrzegane korzyści i zagrożenia związane z wdrażaniem w przedsiębiorstwach rozwiązań z zakresu sztucznej inteligencji mogą różnić się w zależności od tego, kto dokonuje oceny zjawiska. To, co dla pracodawcy stanowi korzyść (np. obniżenie kosztów pracy), przez pracowników może być postrzegane jako realne zagrożenie związane z utratą pracy (zastąpienie pracownika przez rozwiązania oparte o sztuczną inteligencję). Ograniczenie wspomnianych obaw będzie możliwe tylko wówczas, gdy sztuczna inteligencja będzie rozwijana i wdrażana w firmach w sposób właściwy, pozwalający zdobyć zaufanie pracowników. Zaufanie ukierunkowane na technologię jawi się jako niezwykle ważna i interesująca poznawczo kategoria. Zaufanie do technologii przejawia się w gotowości człowieka do bycia pod wpływem technologii, wynikającej z użyteczności tej technologii, przewidywalności skutków jej działania a także wiarygodności jej dostawców. Pojęcie zaufania do technologii odnosi się zatem do wiary, iż druga strona relacji – w tym przypadku technologia – będzie działać w sposób przewidywalny i niezawodny, zapewniający pozytywne rezultaty. Nie bez znaczenia jest tu również indywidualna skłonność jednostki do korzystania z technologii, będąca efektem jej cech osobowościowych, związanych m.in. z wcześniejszymi doświadczeniami, otwarciem na nowe doświadczania, chęcią ciągłego poznawania i uczenia się. Identyfikacja oraz pomiar zaufania do sztucznej inteligencji, rozumianej jako najbardziej zaawansowanej formy rozwoju technologii, jest swoistym wyzwaniem z uwagi na latentną naturę rozważanej zmiennej. Biorąc pod uwagę, że zaufanie pracowników do sztucznej inteligencji w przedsiębiorstwie jest konstruktem złożonym, wielowymiarowym i nieidentyfikowalnym bezpośrednio w zrealizowanym badaniu podjęto próbę jego opisu poprzez inne konstrukty badawcze złożone z elementów (zmiennych) identyfikowalnych, które odnoszą się do obserwowalnych cech. Konstrukty badawcze niższego szczebla to: ogólne zaufanie technologiczne, zaufanie do zaawansowanej technologii w przedsiębiorstwie, zaufanie wewnątrzorganizacyjne, indywidualne zaufanie kompetencyjne. Celem przeprowadzonego badania była ocena poziomu zaufania do sztucznej inteligencji pracowników przedsiębiorstw przemysłowych funkcjonujących w Polsce. Poziom wspomnianego zaufania zbadano w oparciu o cztery, wymienione wyżej, konstrukty badawcze niższego szczebla. Z uwagi na stosunkowo niski stopień rozpoznania w teorii i praktyce problematyki zaufania pracowników do sztucznej inteligencji, przeprowadzone badanie miało charakter eksploracyjny. Zostało zrealizowane w okresie luty–kwiecień 2020 r. w 29 przedsiębiorstwach funkcjonujących na terenie Polski. Ich dobór miał charakter celowy i wynikał z możliwości uzyskania w nich zgody na realizację pomiaru. Dobór respondentów w każdym z przedsiębiorstw miał także charakter celowy. Pomiar z udziałem wybranych w ten sposób osób zrealizowano metodą ankiety bezpośredniej. Wzięło w nim udział łącznie 792 respondentów. Opisane jednostki poddano pomiarowi w miejscu pracy. Stosownie do zaproponowanej metody zbierania danych, instrumentem pomiarowym wykorzystanym w badaniu był kwestionariusz ankietowy. Uzyskane wyniki poddano analizie w każdym z czterech zaproponowanych obszarów (konstruktów badawczych niższego rzędu), dokonano także syntetycznej oceny konstruktu złożonego, jakim jest zaufanie pracowników do sztucznej inteligencji w przedsiębiorstwie. Ocena syntetyczna wyniosła S=6,63 (w skali od 0 do 10) . Wynik ten należy interpretować z ostrożnym optymizmem, świadczy bowiem o umiarkowanie wysokim ogólnym zaufaniu pracowników do zaawansowanej technologii, w tym sztucznej inteligencji. Odwołując się do ocen cząstkowych dotyczących poszczególnych obszarów warto podkreślić, że owo zaufanie jest wspierane głównie przez indywidualne zaufanie kompetencyjne oraz zaufanie wewnątrzorganizacyjne. Te dwa komponenty zaufania są ze sobą ściśle powiązane. Wyniki badania wskazują jednocześnie na niższy poziom ocen uzyskanych w dwóch pozostałych komponentach opisywanego konstruktu, jakimi są ogólne zaufanie technologiczne oraz zaufanie do zaawansowanej technologii w przedsiębiorstwie.

Uchodźcom z Ukrainy zapewniono bezpłatny dostęp do wszystkich usług służby zdrowia w krajach sąsiednich, w tym do rutynowych szczepień dzieci. Od wszystkich ukraińskich dzieci przebywających w Polsce przez okres dłuższy niż trzy miesiące wymaga się poświadczonego odpowiednim dowodem szczepienia wykonanego zgodnie z ogólnym kalendarzem szczepień obowiązującym na Ukrainie lub w Polsce. Niski wskaźnik szczepień pośród przemieszczających się uchodźców wzbudził zaniepokojenie już w początkowej fazie kryzysu. Niniejszy dokument skierowany jest do działaczy samorządowych, organizacji pozarządowych (NGO) i agencji międzynarodowych wspierających uchodźców w Polsce. Zawiera podsumowanie informacji na temat czynników wpływających na decyzje dotyczące szczepień na obecnym etapie kryzysu, a ponadto strategiczne i praktyczne informacje, które mogą posłużyć do opracowywania planu działania ukierunkowanego na przekonanie ukraińskich uchodźców o celowości rutynowych szczepień. Rozpoczyna się od przedstawienia perspektywy historycznej i postaw społeczeństwa ukraińskiego wobec szczepień rutynowych. Następnie omówiono wpływ kontekstu historycznego na stosunek do szczepień Ukraińców mieszających w Polsce przed wybuchem trwającego obecnie konfliktu (luty 2022 r.) oraz stosunek uchodźców ukraińskich do szczepienia się w Polsce. Na zakończenie, w oparciu o trwające nadal badania, wyjaśnimy, jak niepewność co do długoterminowych planów uchodźców wpływa na ich niechęć do poddawania się szczepieniom. Niniejsze opracowanie zostało sporządzone na zlecenie UNICEF Emergency Response Team (Genewa) przez Ericę Richardson (European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). Opracowanie zostało zweryfikowane przez Olivię Tulloch (Anthrologica), Marinę Bragę, Tetianę Stepurko (Narodowy Uniwersytet „Akademia Kijowsko-Mohylańska”), Marianę Palavrę (UNICEF) i Sanję Matovic (Euro Health Group). Niniejszy dokument został zredagowany przez Victorię Haldane (Anthrologica). Za jego treść odpowiada SSHAP.

In 2015, Google added a new transportation demand management (TDM) program to increase bike commuting to their two main campuses in Mountain View and Sunnyvale, California. An initial survey of employees indicated that bike ownership and worry about maintenance were primary bicycling barriers. With this information, Google began a program that loaned high-quality electric-assisted and conventional bicycles for a period of six months at no cost to interested employees. This research evaluates the effectiveness of the program at changing travel behavior to the corporate campuses by using self-reported and smartphone-integrated travel data. The lending program at Google represents one of, if not the largest, employer-sponsored bike and e-bike lending program in North America with over 1,000 bikes in its inventory. Thus, the evaluation of this program is a critical first step for understanding how bike lending can influence travel behavior in North American suburban contexts.

The pH of solutions found under disbonded polyethylene tape coatings in the field is generally in the range of 6.5 to 7.5. Electrochemically determining corrosion rates for pipeline steels exposed to neutral pH solutions in this pH range indicate that corrosion rates are too low to account for the observed crack growth rates from field excavation programs. This suggests that for the SCC process to be based on a simple dissolution mechanism then the pH at the crack tip would have to be lower than the bulk solution pH. A computer model was developed to determine solution chemistry changes within an SCC crack under anaerobic conditions as a function of time The numerical simulation model showed that the pH at a crack tip is lower by at least one pH unit than the trapped electrolyte outside the crack. A second thermodynamic model was used to show that under appropriate conditions dilute groundwater can be converted to a concentrated carl ornately bicarbonate solution. High temperatures were not required to concentrate on this solution. The concentration of this electrolyte under coal tar or asphalt coatings can occur by a cyclical process in which groundwater levels fluctuate and in tum influence the ability of cathodic protection to reach the steel surface. The high pH is generated by effective cathodic protection and the carbonate concentration is developed by absorption of CO2 from soil gases.

Mặc dù kinh tế tăng trưởng nhanh chóng, lao động di cư ở Việt Nam, chiếm 7,3% số lao động nước ta, đang làm việc trong điều kiện bấp bênh và an ninh lương thực không đảm bảo, nay càng gặp khó khăn do các biện pháp kiểm soát phòng, chống dịch Covid. Do vậy, cần có biện pháp cấp bách nhằm cải thiện chế độ dinh dưỡng của người lao động di cư trong thời kỳ khủng hoảng và tăng khả năng chống chịu của họ đối với các cú sốc kinh tế trong tương lai, bằng cách: 1) các đối sách ngắn hạn nên quan tâm đến vấn đề dinh dưỡng; 2) cải thiện môi trường thực phẩm thông qua việc thực thi hiệu quả các chính sách hiện hành; 3) mở rộng phạm vi bao phủ của mạng lưới an sinh xã hội do Chính phủ cung cấp; và 4) cải cách pháp luật lao động để giảm tính dễ bị tổn thương của người lao động và tăng vị thế của họ trong quan hệ lao động.

Con frecuencia los observadores económicos que hacen seguimiento a la política monetaria comparan las fechas de las decisiones de los ciclos de subidas o de bajadas de las tasas de interés entre países para establecer cuáles países se adelantaron y cuáles se retrasaron en sus decisiones. Esto podría ser correcto si los países tuvieran comportamientos económicos idénticos. Pero sabemos que no es así. Por esta razón, un juicio de esta naturaleza requiere un análisis más sofisticado, que no solo compare los calendarios, sino también el comportamiento de indicadores económicos claves al inicio de los ciclos de subidas o de bajadas de la tasa de interés de política (TPM) en cada país. Una reciente nota sobre ciclos monetarios publicada por los directores de la Junta Directiva del Banco de la República, Bibiana Taboada y Mauricio Villamizar, en compañía de Manuela Bernal, acomete esta compleja tarea.

Анотація:
O tema objeto de estudo, Preservação Ambiental e Implantação de Parques Urbanos se apresenta como demanda reduzida da carteira Procidades em execução até 2011, contando com 0,5% dos investimentos. A dificuldade de abordagem que integre preservação ambiental e cidades em processo de expansão se constitui num desafio a ser enfrentado. Os espaços das cidades brasileiras se expandiram sem a adequada malha de áreas verdes de lazer e, também, tiveram as áreas de fragilidade ambiental, especialmente ao longo dos cursos d'água, ocupadas por assentamentos precários. O maior desafio para preservar áreas ambientais inseridas na malha urbana é evitar a sua ocupação por usos que as degradem, sem incorrer no equívoco de pensar que a preservação em si se constitui em uso urbano. A idéia de preservação associada ao nada fazer em áreas localizadas nas estruturas urbanas com forte pressão de urbanização e sem o devido controle urbanístico, tem levado à degradação ambiental.
