Повний текст джерелаThe existence and survival of an individual and/or organization, such as a Higher Education Institution (HEI), have always depended on the ability of this individual or organization to control the environment in which it exists. This person or organization should overcome certain threats and obstacles that may cross its path by means of simple, pre-constructed plans. The situation must thus be managed in order to ensure the continuation of the person or organization. In this study the focus is on the functional tasks of the middle management team in an HEI. Middle management is concerned with the near future and is therefore responsible for medium- and short-term planning, organizing functional areas, leading by means of departmental heads, and controlling the management activities of the middle managers’ own departments. This study wants to identify factors in the different functional areas of middle management that could hamper the productivity of this area, and thus the institution as a whole. A qualitative study, with questionnaires as data capturing tool, was employed. Various factors that may hamper proper functioning were identified in the study. Lack of intra- and inter-departmental communication, staff shortages due to the restructuring process, countless policies and procedures in place (to streamline the execution of duties) hamper more than assist staff members in the execution of their duties. It was found that the staff members seek a sense of security, as this will lead to improved productivity.

Повний текст джерелаSignificant attention has been devoted to the experiences of planning and management of research and innovation at the macro level, covering the development and implementation of public policies for science, technology and innovation from the perspective of promoting competitiveness and also expansion of social benefits. The current situation proves to be quite favorable for the country, mainly in relation ace prospects for improving conditions that favor their competitiveness. It ace Higher Education Institutions - HEIs and businesses to find the appropriate means to carry out the strategies proposed by the government in order to facilitate cooperation with a view to promoting sustainable development with technological capability. Therefore, the objective of this research project is to describe the administrative structure of UTFPR dealing with fundraising for ST & I. In this study, the purpose of applied research was exploratory in nature and this step was developed through a questionnaire answered by directors, former directors, and other administrators involved in the area of industrial relations UTFPR during the months of October and November of 2012. We carried out extensive bibliographic and documentary. Participant observation was also used as a research tool, oportunizado during the training held by the DEPET-CT in May 2012. The method adopted is a case study in UTFPR, century-old institution, which as of 07/10/2005, became the only university in Brazil of a technological nature. The history of UTFPR intertwined with the history of Brazilian professional education. The study demonstrates the importance of developing supportive structures professionalized in university environments with respect to access to sources of support for ST & I.

Повний текст джерелаThe objective of this research is to understand the influence of competing society projects on science and technology productions, and the (im)possibility for the workers to have access to science and technology knowledge. To achieve this goal the country policies and the production of science and technology were analyzed; we have also analyzed how close or how far workers education is to the scientific and technological knowledge, its resolution and constraints to Brazilian professional and technological education policies and the influence of these questions in the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina - FIESTSC. The historical and dialectical materialism was elected as the theoretical and methodological framework to drive this research, working with literature review, document analysis, direct observation and interviews with professors and managers from FIESTSC. Thus, the research started with material reality, taking its history as analytical assumption: in the movement of this reality (under a dialectical process), it seeks to apprehend its intrinsic aspects. As a main result, it was identified, in the country, a broad process to shape consensus related to science and technology production with the innovation term and concept. Competitive edge and economic growth are attributed to the innovation capability. Innovation is then treated as a condition to achieve social transformation and to build a new society project. However, the meaning assigned to innovation, socially shared, relates to the explicit science policy and this is made by ideological constructions that legitimate the state intervention in technology and productive infrastructure, which is not new in Brazilian reality, since it is something that has been done since long ago. Besides, it is noted that the implicit science, technology and innovation policy is committed with the present social logic and its conditioners. The following aspects are revealing to this comprehension: the S,T&I policies results (explicit policy); the beneficiaries of the current policies; the resource usage of the S,T&I and industrial policies; the business sector investments in R&D and innovation, among others. When the access to scientific and technological knowledge based education is analyzed, it is verified that only a small selected portion of the society has access to it. To the others it is offered an education that follows the long social architecture, a distinct and unequal education to distinct social groups. In this context, a big contingent of the population has access only to a simple, punctual and fragmented education. This contradictory process happens because, under a dialogic process involving the constriction of the capital reproduction and the capitalist system counter attack, we see the use of the highest form of technology and innovation merged with the magnification of the absolute and relative value added extraction – therefore, magnifying the deterioration process of the work conditions from a broad portion of the workforce. In this context the worker "under qualification" begins to be a structural element to the reproduction and accumulation of capital. It was verified that these social reality movements also unfold inside the FIESTSC, where there is a broad educational architecture that reproduces the existing social architecture, which means that the access to a science and technology based education is still limited. Also it has been identified a naturalization process of the social classes or the comprehension that an education which prepares the worker to assume a "role" inside the "social system" (in the long social architecture, which is extremely unequal) is inclusive and in behalf of the workers. In this institution it is also verified a consensus about the importance of the innovation, which is then used to drive the production of science and technology through research. Therefore, these results indicate the need to magnify the debate about current society projects and its relations to S&T production and the workers access to scientific and technological knowledge.

Повний текст джерелаO presente trabalho se caracteriza como uma pesquisa quali-quantitativa e tem como objetivo principal analisar aspectos da implementação, andamento e atualidade do PROEJA (Programa Nacional de Integração da Educação Profissional com a Educação Básica na Modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos), em um Centro Estadual de Educação Profissional, com vistas a descobrir o porquê do insucesso do referido Programa nesta instituição, mais especificamente sobre as causas do abandono escolar e, também, as causas da própria persistência e/ou permanência no curso por parte dos remanescentes. Assim, pois, em termos de metodologia, resumidamente, nos utilizamos de um método de análise das ciências sociais – o método dialético – e, por utilizá-lo, procedemos nosso estudo com base em um quadro de referência teórica que toma o materialismo histórico como ponto basilar. Para tanto, como procedimentos metodológicos, utilizamos as pesquisas documental, bibliográfica e empírica – questionários e entrevistas. O questionário foi aplicado aos alunos remanescentes e aos docentes do PROEJA, já as entrevistas foram realizadas com o universo total dos alunos evadidos e com a gestão da instituição. Entre outras considerações, fixa-se a urgência de definir e realizar políticas públicas perenes que promovam melhores condições de oferta e de permanência aos alunos, ampliando e garantindo a qualidade de um processo educacional significativo. Paradoxalmente, podemos concluir que há certas distorções – ideal e concreta – entre o que o documento institucional almeja e define como perfil profissional do concluinte do curso, em detrimento do que os alunos pensam sobre sua formação, mais especificamente sobre estar ou não preparados para assumir funções e/ou tarefas específicas da área de atuação do curso. As causas da evasão são as mais diversas. Podemos enfatizar que os processos excludentes tomam ramificações distintas e todos eles fazem com que o aluno não permaneça no espaço escolar, seja pela necessidade de trabalhar, de cuidar da família ou de satisfazer seus desejos. Logo, a falta de condições de transporte, os compromissos com a família e com o trabalho, a localização da instituição e a falta de opções de cursos de qualidade próximos de suas residências também se mostram como pontos que levaram ao desinteresse e, em consequência disso, ao abandono.
This work consists of a qualitative and quantitative research and aims to analyze the main aspects of the implementation, progress and the PROEJA (The Program of Professional Education Integrated with Basic Education on the Modality of Youth and Adult Education) present condition, in a Professional Education State Center, in order to discover why the Program failure is specifically caused by school leaving and, also, the causes of persistence among the remaining students. Briefly, the methodological approach used as basis of analysis method from social sciences – the dialectical method – gives a theoretical reference thru the historical materialism. The methodological procedures executed include documentary research, bibliographical and empirical (questionnaires and interviews). The applied questionnaire was focused on PROEJA teachers and remaining students, while interviews were carried out with the full universe of students, including leavers, and the principals. Among other considerations, we set the urgency to define and implement public policies that promote best supply conditions and students' permanence, expanding and ensuring educational quality for the warranty of a significant process. As a paradox, we noticed certain distortions - ideal and concrete - what predicts and defines the institutional document as the professional profile for the students that end the course, rather than what the students think about their educational path, more specifically on whether or not feeling prepared to assume the roles or specific tasks in the working area. The evasion causes are possibly the most diverse. We emphasize that exclusionary processes gain different reasons and all of them provoke school leaving, if they must work, take care of the family or to satisfy their own needs. Therefore, the lack of help for transport, their commitments to family and work, the location of the institution, normally are near their homes but have only few options of courses that should provide quality education , may lead to their disinterest and, consequently, early school leaving.

Повний текст джерелаIn this dissertation will be addressed the professional education policy in the State of Paraná, since 2003, and its effectuation at school X, maintained by the State Department of education (SEED-PR). The case study had as object the technical course in tourism, integrated to high school and offered by the referred institution. On the basis of qualitative study, aimed to analyze the supply of technical course in Tourism, integrated into the high school of College X in the perspective indicated by the official documents. Permeated by studies issues related to material and human resources of the course. Thus, relations have been established between the infrastructure of the College X, provided to the referred technical course in relation to the recommendations of the national catalogue of technical courses (CNCT). Was also analyzed the PPP of the course in relation to the guidelines of the Professional Education of Paraná (DEPs) and yet, characterized the teaching staff of the mentioned course, in which we research their representations about work as a principle and integrated high school, foundational DEPs categories. The results revealed that the infrastructure (material resources) is insufficient compared to the recommendations of CTNC, and that the College‟s X PPP is diametrically opposed to the fundamentals of the DEPs when compared the fundamentals of each of these documents. In the characterization of teachers, among other surveys, we found no professional employment relationships, especially when it comes from teachers of technical subjects. Still was verified that their continued education, offered by the maintaining entity, does not answer the specifics for technical training in tourism. About the DEPs and the philosophical foundations that support it, was found that a small number of teachers have knowledge about it. The vast majority of teachers demonstrated distancing from the document and misunderstandings about the categories investigated. Finally, when we study the history and establish relationship with the present, the data shows that little has changed over the existence of professional education in Brazil, notably marked by its structural duality.

In Asian countries, Singapore is a formidable enemy for Taiwan in developing high technology industry. This mainly research that how Taiwan can work out a solution for being maintained the competitive in Asian countries. From the experiences of Singapore and Taiwan, the state can play a leading role of economic development. This essay is using "State Corporatism", Peter B. Evans'' "Embedded Autonomy" and "Triple Alliance" principles as the analytical theories. Comparative and Document Analytical are used as methodology in this research. This research finds out, in the initial stage, Singapore and Taiwan have highly state autonomy in order to develop high technology industry. In this case, Singapore state plays a "custodians" role, however, Taiwan is as "husbandry". But in recent years, the role of the state has been changed in different roles. Singapore state changed to a husbandry, so the influence on this industry has been rising. And Taiwan t becomes a demiurge and the influences gradually lower down.
