Al’ummar Hausawa sun daɗe suna gudanar da harkokin rayuwarsu kamar yadda al’adarsu ta tanada. Kowace al’umma haka ake sa ran takasance tana alfahari da al’adunta. Tarbiya tana daga cikin daɗaɗɗiyar al’adar Hausawa wadda ta yi tasirin gaske a zukatansu. Bahaushe mutum ne mai zurfin tunani, wanda yake tsayawa ya ƙirƙiro wa kansa abin da zai amfane shi a tsawon rayuwarsa a duniya. Don haka sai ya samar wa kansa hanyoyin tarbiyantar da ‘ya’yansa a al’adance kafi zuwan addinin musulunci a ƙasar Hausa. Hanyoyinsun haɗa da tatsuniyoyi da labaran hikima da hikayoyi da camfe-camfe da sauransu. Wannan hikima ta taimaka wajen hana yara aikata wani abu da ya saɓa wa al’adar mutanen da ake Magana a kansu. Ta yi ƙoƙarin kawar da miyagun al’adu waɗanda suka saɓa wa koyarwar al’adun Hausawa. Ta kyautata zamantakewa da biyayya ga iyaye da shugabanni da barin wasu miyagun ɗabi’u da al’ada ta kyamata, kafi zuwan addinin musulunci a ƙasar Hausa. Haka kuma addinin musulunci ya taka rawa wajen gyara halaye da ɗabi’u na rashin tarbiya da al’adar Hausawa ta yi hani da aikatasu. Kamar rashin biyayya ga iyaye da rashin girmama manya da shugabanni da sata da zina da sauran halaye marasa kyau. Dalilin haka ya sa wannan takarda za ta yi tsokaci a kan tasirin da addinin musulunci ya yi wajen kyautata kyawawan ɗabi’u da halaye na gari da al’adar Hausawa ta horas kuma aka tarbiyantu da su. Haka kuma mu dubi yadda baƙin al’adu suka gurɓata tarbiyar ‘ya’yan Hausawa musamman a kan shaye-shayen muyagun ƙwayoyi da sauran abubuwa na rashin ɗa’a.

This thesis examines the Pictish carved stones from the Tarbat peninsula, which include the cross-slabs at Nigg, Shandwick and Hilton of Cadboll, as well as the numerous fragments from Portmahomack. While many of these have been previously mentioned by scholars, they have never been closely studied as a group that might express a coherent political and/ or spiritual program, and which may contribute to the understanding of the Pictish settlements on the peninsula. In order to do so the known cultural background of the early medieval world is initially investigated to provide a context within which to study this group of carvings. This investigation includes a survey of the historical and literary texts, and the history and liturgical practices of the church in the Insular world. Once this background is presented, each individual site and carving is thoroughly explored as regards historiography and archaeological context (as it is known so far). The decoration on each monument or carved fragment is then scrutinized in order to place the work in an art-historical context. Once this has been done, the iconographic significance of the images carved on these stones is determined, and the iconology of the monuments surmised. The monuments of the Tarbat peninsula thus emerge as complex conveyers of meanings both sacred and secular. Placed within the context of the 8th to mid 9th - century Insular world they strongly support the argument that the Tarbat peninsula was home to an important and influential monastic estate with possible royal ties, which had established links with other ecclesiastical sites throughout Britain and Ireland, and contacts with the Continent and the Eastern Mediterranean.

L'expansion de l'agglomeration de tarbes s'est etalee sur une longue periode. Elle parait avoir profite de l'essor demographique des xie, xiie et xiiie siecles. A la fin du xiie siecle. La cite episcopale se constitua de facon synchrone a l'essor urbain les quartiers s'entourerent de murs. Capitale de la bigorre au xiiie siecle. Tarbes etait un centre politique et strategique. Religieux. Artisanal et commercial comptant environ 4000 habitants. L'etablissement de deux ordres mendiants confirme la vitalite de la ville. Le xive siecle marque par la famine. Les pestes et la guerre de cent ans, affaiblit tarbes qui reprit sa croissance au xve siecle. L'architecture civile conditionnee par la qualite mediocre du sol. Est marquee par la presence de la tour comtale, rare edifice civil de la region a avoir emprunte a l'architecture religieuse les grands arcs tendus entre les contreforts seuls la cathedrale et son cloitre representent l'art roman a tarbes. L'art gothique est represente par des edifices conventuels et paroissiaux. La sculpture romane comme l'architecture n'est representee qu'a la cathedrale. C'est avec des modalites toulousaines qu'elle s'installe a tarbes. Le debut du xiiiesiecle est une periode de transition ou << mutation >> dans la sculpture medievale tarbaise, liee a la proximite de l'escaladieu entre 1210-1220. Un type de chapiteau pregothique apparait orne de feuilles d'eau simples ou pourvues de crochets recouvrant une boule. C'est le chapiteau d'inspiration cistercienne. Au debut du xive siecle. Ces chapiteaux sont perpetues par les couvents d'ordres mendiants recemment apparus a la cathedrale, quelques sculptures s'apparentent a la production du maitre de rieux. Le xve siecle est represente a la paroissiale saint-jean par des chapiteaux histories ornant les piliers de la nef. Les quelques chapiteaux de la chapelle saint-jacques de la cathedrale de tarbes. Confirme ce courant.

Denna uppsats är gjord på uppdrag av Tarbit Shipping som år 2011 konverterade sin tankbåt M/T Bit Viking från konventionell drift på tjockolja till LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas).Uppdraget som gavs var att upprätta en tränings manual till fartyget då det är ett krav från IMO (International Maritime Organization). Manualen skrevs i 3 st huvuddelar Kategori A, B och C. Kategori A är till för att manskap ombord ska få en kännedom om gasen och säkerhet runt den, Kategori B är skriven till däcksbefäl där det krävs en större kännedom om gasen och Kategori C är till för maskinbefäl. Manualen finns nu ombord på fartyget och på rederi kontoret för utbildning av nypåmönstrad personal och fortlöpande utbildning av ordinarie personal. Manualen är ett resultat på tolkning av IMO´s IGF kod (ANNEX11. RESOLUTION MSC.285(86)) där det står riktlinjer för säkerheten ombord på fartyg med maskiner som drivs på naturgas.
This paper has been produced as a result of an assignment set by Tarbit Shipping which 2011converted one of their product tanker ships from M/T Bit Viking its original heavy fuel oil toLNG (Liquefied Natural Gas). The assignment was to establish a training manual to the shipaccording to IMO´s (International Maritime Organization) IGF code. The manual is written inthree main parts Category A, Category B and Category C. Category A is directed at ratingsand cadets and focuses on gas and safety procedures, Category B is directed at deck officersand focuses on gas, whilst Category C is directed at engine officers and, similar to Category Baims at increasing knowledge levels for engineers. The manual is now located onboard theship and at the company’s office for education of new personnel and for continued educationfor personnel onboard. The manual is a result on an interpretation of IMO´s IGF code(ANNEX11. RESOLUTION MSC.285(86)), in which guidelines are laid out for vesselsfueled by natural gas.

Lourdes dans l'historiographie contemporaine n'a retenu l'attention des chercheurs qu'en tant que lieu thaumaturge marque au sceau de l'irrationnel. Cette these s'inscrit, au contraire, dans le cadre de l'histoire religieuse institutionnelle. Dans une structure aussi hierarchisee que l'eglise catholique, comment le pape a-t-il repondu a l'extraordinaire essor de ce pelerinage (un million de personnes en 1908) dans la premiere moitie du xxeme siecle ? quelles furent les directives de rome dans un climat politique et social particulierement trouble ? la nomination, en 1900, d'un nouvel eveque correspond a la fois a la fin des grands travaux d'amenagement des sanctuaires et au paroxisme de la crise entre papaute et republique. 1958, annee jubilaire marquant le centenaire des apparitions, consacre en revanche la parfaite entente entre autorites civiles et religieuses. Ce demi-siecle d'evolution est etudie en trois temps. Tout d'abord, une prosopographie des eveques, preconises par le saint-siege pour diriger le diocese de tarbes et lourdes, est effectuee. Puis les deux missions majeures devolues a ces prelats par le saint-siege sont envisagees. La premiere, d'ordre politique, est destinee a attenuer les tensions, voire amorcer une collaboration entre les hierarchies religieuse et civile (notamment lors de la separation de l'eglise et de l'etat, la premiere guerre mondiale ou l'occupation). La deuxieme mission, d'ordre spirituel, vise quant a elle a faire de lourdes un sanctuaire international de priere pour la paix. Enfin, une troisieme partie, illustrant les deux premiers temps de cette recherche, analyse les trois grandes legations pontificales de 1914, 1935 et 1958. Grace aux archives de l'eveche de tarbes et lourdes, de l'archeveche de paris et de la vaticane, il a ete ainsi possible de mettre en exergue la place preponderante de ce sanctuaire, miroir de l'evolution de la papaute et de l'eglise catholique au xxeme siecle
In the modern historiography, the researchers were mainly interested in lourdes as a place of healing, in a world of irrationality. On the contrary, this thesis focuses on institutional religious history. In such a hierarchical structure as the catholic church, how did the pope respond to the extraordinary development of this pilgrimage in the first part of the 20th century ? the appointment, in 1900, of a new bishop occurred at a crucial time : the end of the major building works in the sanctuaries and the climax of the crisis between papacy and republic. 1958, jubilee year for the centenary of the apparitions, underlined, on the contrary, the perfect collaboration between civilian and religious authorities. This evolution can be explained partly by the policy defined by rome. The fifty years are studied in three steps. First, an analysis of the careers of the bishops of the diocese of tarbes and lourdes, appointed by the pope and carefully chosen to serve his decisions, is carried out. Then the two major tasks set by the holy see on these prelates are considered. The first one, a political one, aimed at lowering the tensions and even initiating a collaboration between the church and the republic (particularly during the time of the separation of these two institutions in 1905, the first world war and the occupation). The second one, a spiritual one, intended to transform lourdes into an international sanctuary, dedicated to the prayer for peace. Finally, in the third part, illustrating perfectly the two first ones, the three major pontifical legations of 1914, 1935 and 1958 have been analysed. Thanks to the archives of the tarbes and lourdes diocese, of the archdiocese of paris and of the vatican, it has been possible to bring into light that lourdes, in fact, during this half-century, represents a summary of the evolution of the papacy and of the catholic church in general, in terms of political and spiritual orientations, themes of preaching and styles of ceremonies

This chapter talks about the poem “Afa Nim Zasa Nin Binya,” wherein Afa Ajura condemned the signature practices of the Tijaniyyah, the wird and the tarbiya. It explains that wird or awrad are litanies that Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijanı taught to his followers and encouraged them to perform three times daily. It also clarifies that tarbiya or spiritual training is a process devised by Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse to intensify and accelerate the experience attainable in wird. The chapter explores the subject matter of the polemical poem, which is mainly an admonishment against the performance of Tijanı litanies and a call to abandon that path. It highlights Afa Ajura's call to Muslims to maintain the path of Prophet Mohammed and his companions.

The first well drilled (Tarbat 1) was plugged and abandoned over the Hutton Sandstone after an on-depth, mechanically sound DST flowed 1080 BWPD 1% oil. Tarbat 2 was drilled 7 years later, the Hutton DST flowed 2037 BOPD and no water. This talk discusses how a valid DST test can be misleading and encourages a discussion regarding a Surat basin oil project where a re-evaluation of seismic and exploration well’s DSTs has justified a 3-D seismic which has changed the area's prospectivity.

Анотація:
The National Engineering School of Tarbes (ENIT) is a French engineering school with a curriculum from undergraduate to graduate studies for general engineers. Curriculum ends by an equivalent Master degree in sciences. ENIT students are particularly involved into mechanical, civil, industrial engineering, material science and design of integrated systems. From the first year of study, students tackle theoretical tools for engineers. Moreover, in a curriculum composed of several different disciplines, connections between scientific subjects may be difficult to weave. As a consequence, student activities for solving engineering problems were developed. The basic concept is to clearly illustrate how theoretical tools can be used in an activity linked to engineering and more generally to student life. In addition, future engineers must be acquainted and trained to ethic values, especially those used in team work. During team working, honesty and benevolence are important core values to be encouraged as a basis of trust that has been identified as one of the cornerstones for performing teams. Consequently, the principle of team working for students was adopted and humanities are associated into the project to manage ethical and professional standards. Thus, the chosen teaching activity is a project-based learning team work that addresses on the one hand application of integration and derivation to expression of needs of consumable supplies and notions around professional ethics on the other hands.
