PT PLB (pseudonym) is a company that produces household appliances and kitchen utensils. The country kettle is one type of product made by PT PLB. The productivity of the country kettle production line decreased by 56%. This was due to defective products. The largest percentage of defects in-country kettle products occurred in the spinning process of 40.18%. This study aimed to identify the causes of defects in-country kettle products and how to overcome them by designing improvement proposals. Lean manufacturing principles were used to evaluate the problems that occur. There were three types of lean manufacturing tools used in this study: Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and 5Ways. VSM was used to describe and identify value-added activities, non-value-added activities but necessary, and non-value-added activities so that the production process becomes lean. The root cause analysis was performed using the 5 Whys method. Unskilled workers and non-standard material types between suppliers are the highest contributors to defects in the spinning process. Based on this, this research was focused on improvements made in the spinning process. Proposals for improvements to the causes of the problems found are standardization of work procedures, standardization of supplier specifications, and arrangement of semi-finished goods and/or supplies. Based on the company's results, the proposed standardization of work procedures and arrangement of semi-finished goods and/or supplies may be implemented in the company. Meanwhile, the proposal for selecting suppliers is not feasible due to company limitations

The subject of research is standardization as one of the forms of technical regulation in the food industry of Ukraine, in particular in the production of milk and milk products, meat and meat products, determination of safety and quality parameters of the specified food raw materials and finished products made from those, as well as installations and equipment for the food industry. The purpose of the study is to analyze the state of standardization in the production of dairy and meat products, highlight the existing problems and possible ways to solve them, as well as outline the role that the Technical Committee for Standardization 140 “Milk, meat and products of their processing” should play in these processes. Methods. During the research, a systematic approach was used to research factual materials, in particular scientific and scientific-practical literature, regulatory legal acts, regulatory documents and the like, abstract-logical approach to the synthesis of research results and the formulation of conclusions. The results of the study. National standards of Ukraine DSTU is the base of the technical regulation in relation to food products and methods of their control. The above also applies to standardization in the field of milk and meat products, which is within the competence scope of the Technical Committee for Standardization 140 “Milk, meat and products of their processing”. Technical Committee 140 carries out significant work to develop new and update existing national standards in accordance with its area of competence, in particular, it has significant success in harmonizing international and European standards. As of January 15, 2021, according to the classification code 67.100 (Milk and milk products) out of 203 standards of the nationwide force, 103 standards (50.7%) were developed by harmonizing the relevant international standards EN, ISO, etc. According to the classification code 67.120 (Meat, meat products and other animal products) – 202 units, 26 units and 14.1 %, respectively, according to the classification code 67.260 (Installations and equipment for the food industry) – 99 units, 86 units and 86.9%, respectively. The issue of attracting extra-budgetary funds for the harmonization of international standards and the implementation of the entire range of works on standardization is urgent. The issue of proper regulatory support for the production and operation of specialized technological equipment for food and processing industry enterprises is relevant, for which it is advisable to combine the domestic traditions of standardization with the priorities of safety and hygiene of machines, as well as ecology, which are in force in international practice. Scope of research results. The results of the studies performed will be used in the field of technical regulation, in particular, national standardization, of milk and milk products, meat and meat products, determination of safety and quality indicators of the specified food raw materials and finished products made from it, as well as installations and equipment for the food industry.

Standardization of Ayurvedic formulation is essential in order to assess the quality of drugs. Avaleha is “a semisolid preparation which is prepared by reboiling of decoction etc., till it solidifies and attains signs of proper cooking and consistency. The present study deals with standardization of Avaleha from Benincasa hispida , known to be effective in caugh and chronic respiratory diseases. Avaleha formulation was prepared by reported traditional method of Ayurveda. Formulation was standardized by modern scientific quality control procedure for the finished products. Standardization of Avaleha was achieved by organoleptic study and by studing physicochemical parameters such as pH, TLC, Loss on drying, Extractive values, ash value, total reducing sugars and stability study. The results showed that the physicochemical parameters were well within the standard limits and the values could be used to establish and formulate procedures for standardization and quality controll of these ayurvedic formulations. The study revealed that the standardization parameters could be used at commercial level for such formulations. Also comparison with the marketed formulation with satisfactory evaluation parameters justifies the stability of the method.

Unfair production and products that do not comply with the declared labeling are currently an acute problem in the field of technical regulation, including with regard to food safety and quality. Given the high added value and multicomponent composition, finished meat products are among the most susceptible to adulteration. Despite the best efforts of regulatory agencies to counteract these inconsistencies, the hidden substitution of cheaper or lower-grade meats is still widespread. One of the main tasks facing research laboratories and testing centers today is the detection of falsification of food products, as well as standardization and certification of techniques necessary to solve such problems. The manufacturer, aware of the current control methods, can go to the deception, using vegetable protein, new unregistered feed additives. To determine the complex changes that occur in products, it is necessary to use methodological approaches in which it is possible to reliably determine these changes. The paper presents an overview of the most commonly used methodologies for assessing the component composition of meat products. Quality assessment of meat products includes control of components of finished products. The most difficult task is to determine the proportion of muscle protein in multicomponent meat products that have undergone heat treatment.

Whey containing more than 50% of milk solids can be attributed to an insufficiently demanded raw material of the dairy industry. The restriction of its usage for food purposes is the high residual antigenicity of whey proteins. This work aimed to justify the possibility of using milk-containing products with whey protein hydrolysate, characterized by reduced residual antigenicity, in healthy and dietary diets. Experimental work was carried out at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Dairy Industry, the Animal-Derived Food Technology department and the Core Facilities Centre "Control and Management of Energy-efficient Projects" at the FSBEI HE VSUET. Compositions were developed for a sports nutrition drink made from whey protein hydrolysate with the addition of fructose, and a milk-containing drink with the replacement of 30% skimmed milk necessary for standardization with whey protein hydrolysate. The chemical composition, physical, chemical and microbiological properties of the finished products were established. The reduction of the true protein content was proven to 1.33% for a sports nutrition drink and to 1.69% for a milk-containing drink. Peptides and proteins in the finished products have a molecular weight of less than 10 kDa, which indicates a decrease in their potential antigenicity. The developed beverages are characterized by a high content of biologically active peptides, macro- and microelements, as well as vitamins. Their quality and safety indicators meet the requirements of the TR CU 033/2013. These products can be used as part of dietary diets for people who are allergic to cow's milk proteins. The organization of their production will contribute to import substitution in the segment of low-allergenic dairy products.

The rise in the use of herbal product has also given rise to various forms of abuse and adulteration of the products leading to consumers’ and manufacturers’ disappointment and in some instances fatal consequences. The word “standardized” on a product label is no guarantee of higher product quality, since there is no legal definition of the word “standardized.” Consumers are often left on their own to decide what is safe and effective for them and the lack of consistent labelling on herbal products can be a source of consumer frustration. Certain information such as “the product has been manufactured according to Pharmacopoeia standards,” listing of active ingredients and amounts, directions such as serving quantity (dosage) and frequency of intake of the drug, must be in the label. Herbal drug technology is used for converting botanical materials into medicines, where standardization and quality control with proper integration of modern scientific techniques and traditional knowledge is important. The quality control standards of various medicinal plants used in indigenous system of medicine are becoming more relevant today in view of commercialization of formulations based on medicinal plants. This review seeks to enlighten techniques involved in standardization of crude/finished compound drugs so far, e.g. macroscopic methods, microscopic methods, physical methods, chemical methods, biological methods. Standardization of herbal drugs means confirmation of its identity, quality and purity.

Asavas and Arishtaare alcoholic medicaments are prepared by allowing the herbal juices or their decoctions to undergo fermentation with the addition of sugar. Standardization of ayurvedic formulation is essential in order to assess the quality of drugs. In the present study standardization of asava from Syzygium cumini, known to be effective in diabetics, has been performed.Asava formulation was prepared by reported traditional method of ayurveda. Formulation has been standardized by modern scientific quality control procedure for the finished productas. Standardization of asava was achieved by organoleptic study, physicochemical parameters such as pH, specific gravity, total solid content, acid value, alcohol content, refractive index, total reducing sugars and stability study. results reveal that the physicochemical parameters were within the limits and the values could be used to establish and formulate procedures for standardization and quality controlling of these ayurvedic formulations.

The development of biomaterials, medical device components, finished medical products, and 3-D printed and regenerative medicine products is governed by a variety of international and country-specific standards and guidelines. Of greatest importance to planning, executing, and reporting biocompatibility, safety and efficacy studies for most biomaterials and medical components or products are the International Organization for Standardization guidelines, U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention, ASTM International, and Conformité Européenne (European Conformity) marking. The International Medical Device Regulators Forum publishes harmonized standards similar to the International Council for Harmonization. Good Laboratory Practices are applicable and guidance documents for the development of drugs and biologics can also be relevant to biomaterials, medical device components, and medical products and more recently to products produced by 3-D printing or additive manufacturing. Regenerative products may have medical device–based scaffolding and may be treated as biologics, reflecting the cell and tissue components. This compilation of international standards and guidelines provides toxicologic pathologists, toxicologists, bioengineers, and allied professionals with an overview of and source for important regulatory documents that may apply to the nonclinical development of their products.

This article design 4 models with a certain standard of one-time wooden pallets and a legitimate way of supporting pallet packaging logistic to solve the problem of lowing in pallet standardization, lack of intensity in some pallet and unreasonable packages in pallet packaging which lead to work at low efficiency and make high rate in damaging gods. The models would improve the pallet in order to adjust different loading weight, rise loading and reloading efficiency and stacking efficiency of finished products, decline the damage rate in transportation, save materials in parts packaging, decline error rate in the number of shipping and receiving gods.

The aim. The aim of this study was to propose methods of standardization of Eucalyptus globulus leaves and Cetraria islandica slan by the main group of biologically active substances (BAS). This was done for further development of complex medicines based on Eucalyptus globulus leaves and Cetraria islandica slan. These studies provide an opportunity for further development and standardization of extracts from these plants, and the main aim of this study is the development and standardization of a complex medicine. Materials and methods. Thin layer chromatography was used to determine the presence of these markers. Quantitative values of these biologically active substances were determined by spectrophotometric method according to the relevant methods of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine. Results. Markers for the certification of Cetraria islandica and Eucalyptus globulus have been proposed in this study. Chlorophylls and 1,8-cineole were chosen as a marker for the study of Eucalyptus globulus, and polysaccharides were chosen as a marker for Cetraria islandica. The qualitative and quantitative content of these markers in the studied objects was studied. Further research in this direction will be aimed at developing methods for control and standardization of water and alcohol extracts from these plants. Conclusions. Biologically active substances in medicinal plant raw materials were studied. It is proposed to study extracts and finished products from Eucalyptus globulus leaves and Cetraria islandica slan using these methods. The method of qualitative and quantitative determination of polysaccharides in Cetraria islandica slan is easy to apply and easily reproducible. It is important to be able to standardize Eucalyptus globulus leaves for essential oils and chlorophylls. The biologically active substances-markers found in Eucalyptus globulus leaves and Cetraria islandica slan will be used for the development of herbal medicines, the standardization of which will be carried out for the same compounds.

The purpose of this work is to design the production of bacterial leaven for the manufacture of fermented milk products for dietary nutrition. The work is devoted to increasing the production of domestic leavens, which will increase the range and reduce the cost of lactic acid products. It is substantiated and proposed to use strains of homofermentative thermophilic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp as a producer of bacterial yeast. Vulgaricus and Streptococcus salivarius subsp. Thermophilus, obtained by selection using natural selection, have probiotic properties and are high-tech for the manufacture of fermented milk production. Efficient, cost-effective and reliable equipment for production cultivation of sourdough has been selected. The device for industrial cultivation is calculated and selected. Technological, constructive and hydraulic calculations of the selected fermenter are given. The technological and hardware schemes of production are substantiated and presented in the work

This research has focussed on the photo-oxidation of polyurethane coatings with aim to identify formulations with enhanced durability. The stability of a coating against the effects of environmental ultraviolet (UV) light poses a challenge to coating manufacturers particularly since almost all coatings contain titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a pigment. It is widely acknowledged that TiO2 can become photoactivated by incident UV light, causing initiation of free radicals which under go reactions with the polymeric matrix and result in degradation of the coating. Previous research has identified a novel accelerated weathering test that allows quantification of coating photo-oxidation by measurement of evolved carbon dioxide (CO2) gas using a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer. The FTIR flat panel irradiation apparatus was used in conjunction with QUV A and xenon arc weathering in order to assess the durability of polyurethane coatings. Out of a range of TiO2 pigments Tronox R-KB-4 was the most stable for production of polyurethane coatings. It was found that alterations to the coating formulation, namely replacement of the standard durability polyester with one expected to improve UV durability did not provide the improvements anticipated. The polyurethane formulation containing a polyisocyanate cross-linker based on a combination of hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) showed the best durability and most promise for improvement of commercial coatings. The effects of additives commonly used in commercial polyurethane coatings were investigated. It was found that although the addition of coloured pigments and texturing agents commonly affected coating durability, the majority of increase in coating degradation was due to the unstable nature of organic matting and texturing agents. Finally it was shown that the dispersion of a TiO2 pigment within polymeric matrix can significantly affect is durability. Coatings containing poorly dispersed TiO2 pigments showed a significant reduction in durability compared to those containing an optimum dispersion of TiO2.

Additive manufacturing processes have been investigated for some years, and are commonly used industrially in the field of plastics for small- and medium-sized series. The use of metallic deposition material has been intensively studied on the laboratory scale, but the numerical prediction is not yet state of the art. This paper examines numerical approaches for predicting temperature fields, distortions, and mechanical properties using the Finite Element (FE) software MSC Marc. For process mapping, the filler materials G4Si1 (1.5130) for steel, and AZ31 for magnesium, were first characterized in terms of thermo-physical and thermo-mechanical properties with process-relevant cast microstructure. These material parameters are necessary for a detailed thermo-mechanical coupled Finite Element Method (FEM). The focus of the investigations was on the numerical analysis of the influence of the wire feed (2.5–5.0 m/min) and the weld path orientation (unidirectional or continuous) on the temperature evolution for multi-layered walls of miscellaneous materials. For the calibration of the numerical model, the real welding experiments were carried out using the gas-metal arc-welding process—cold metal transfer (CMT) technology. A uniform wall geometry can be produced with a continuous welding path, because a more homogeneous temperature distribution results.

When it comes to cloud services, security has many a times been the hot topic. This has been especially relevant within the payment card industry and the secure handling of payment card data. The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (the council) was formed in order to ensure a global enhancement of payment card data. The council has issued requirements that all companies that handle payment card data are obliged to follow. However, the council has become much more strict as of recently, creating an urgency to become compliant. Thus, cloud service providers (CSP) have constructed standardized, PCI DSS compliant products so as to relief such customers. Since this emerging market is somewhat new, this thesis has researched how CSPs should relate to products within that market and the potential customer base. The case study for this research was conducted at Tieto, an IT service company, and its standardized, PCI DSS compliant product TiCC. The study collected empirical data in the form of qualitative interviews as well as quantitative telephone interviews with companies within the payment card industry. The study came to the conclusion that there is a demand that is not being met within the payment card industry related to products that aid organizations to become PCI DSS compliant. Standardized products have been constructed so as to fit financial customers while overlooking the demand of another large customer base, retail. Additionally, the products are being tweaked and features are being added, thus providing customization. CSPs are striving for both standardization as well as customization, something that has been considered counterproductive. The existing demand is thus not met with the current supply in the market, which has both multiple competitors and heterogeneity in market demand. The above mentioned thus leaves room for market seizure, to create own rules and thus making all competitors irrelevant. A potential way of doing that is through mass customization by standardizing higher levels of cloud computing.

The study of the essence of the concept of "finished products". The General economic and organizational characteristics of the enterprise are given. Features of the organization of accounting of production and realization of finished goods are considered and the analysis of process of production and realization of finished goods is carried out. The appropriateness of following a globally standardized or locally adapted strategy in global marketing has been subject of an on-going debate for several decades. However, little research exists of how to follow standardization and adaptation (s/a) simultaneously and to take advantage of both strategies, in brief how to follow a GloCal approach. Thus, the purpose of this case study is to generate theoretical insights of how to follow a GloCal strategy, based on the case of Facebook. After reviewing critical points of current knowledge in the field of s/a, qualitative research via open-ended in-depth interviews from a sample of Facebook users from 16 different countries was conducted. The outcome supports that common needs and individual usage behavior of Facebook users favor a strategy that is simultaneously standardized and adapted, within different aspects of the product element. Results are presented narratively intertwined with theory and prior study results. Findings reveal that Facebook is following a GloCal approach. By abstracting from the case of Facebook to a general level theoretical insights are gained of how to follow s/a simultaneously. This work contributes to existing theory, since it is a starting point to close the research gap of how to follow s/a simultaneously in international marketing. Additionally, it exhibits the significance and importance of the GloCal approach. Regarding practitioners this work provides guidance on how to create synergies, while considering differences within their international marketing strategies.

Product innovation and its efficient diffusion are important to enhance factor productivity, market access, job creation and trade. Innovative firms remain competitive in an increasingly global environment. Product innovation add maximum economic value when the new knowledge and technical know-how are spread through the economy. Standardisation of products is regarded as a vital tool to enable the diffusion of product innovations. The economic rationale for standardisation is based on the theory market failure that requires some sort of correction. Standardisation is regarded as a public good, a form of technical infrastructure. It reduces transaction costs and information asymmetries
increased the willingness of consumers to pay, which in turn increases the success and diffusion of innovation. Lower transaction costs result in reduced production and distribution costs. For consumers it also results in reduced search and testing costs as well as reduced time and effort to evaluate quality. Studies on the impact of standardisation were done for some developed countries, but not for developing countries. Unlike most studies that have a narrow industry-focus, this report has a broader focus on the impact of various types of standards on product innovation, market access and trade. It presented specific case studies for various industries in South Africa as well as studies on the impact of standards internationally.

This article describes how Lean Manufacturing tools were applied in a Peruvian textile company. A production management model is proposed whose goal is to reduce the number of non-conforming products in the pants manufacturing line. For this, all information was gathered from the production area of the company under study. With the use of quality tools, the diagnosis of the current situation of the pants line was made, identifying the most significant defects, which were 19.43% of produced units in 2018. It was determined that the main causes of the observed defects refer to non-standardized sewing processes, quality control errors, non-standardized cutting processes, and poor production planning. The application of VSM and SMED allowed the correct standardization of denim pants production, TQM allowed proper control and quality management of the production process, and JIT for optimal production planning.

Розкрито проблемні питання обліку готової продукції на підприємствах. Запропоновано напрями удосконалення обліку і системи внутрішнього контролю у ТОВ «Телекарт-Прилад» зокрема, запровадити на підприємстві складання звітності за міжнародними стандартами. Використовувати 26 рахунок для достовірного відображення руху готової продукції на підприємстві. Застосувати окремі субрахунки для обліку відхилень фактичної собівартості від облікових цін. Створити автоматизовану систему внутрішнього контролю.
Bachelor's qualification work consists of three sections. The object of research - the processes that ensure the effectiveness of accounting, analysis and control of finished products. Diploma thesis deals with theoretical aspects of accounting, analysis and control of finished products. The economic essence, types and evaluation of finished products are studied. The analysis of the basic indicators of activity at the basic enterprise is carried out. The normative-legal base on the account of finished products, the basic methodical receptions of realization of internal control is investigated. Problematic issues of accounting for finished products at enterprises are revealed. The directions of improvement of the account and system of internal control in LLC «Telecard-Prilad» are offered, in particular, to introduce at the enterprise of drawing up of the reporting according to the international standards. Use 26 accounts to accurately reflect the movement of finished products in the enterprise. Apply separate sub-accounts to account for deviations of actual cost from accounting prices. Create an automated internal control system.

Abstract Thermally-sprayed coatings are applied to various materials to provide protection for beat-loaded parts as well as corrosion and wear. They also serve as a thermal barrier to reduce metal substrate temperatures. Microstructural analysis is used to characterize the substrate, the coating, and the adherence of the coating to the substrate. Accurate evaluation or these coatings depends heavily upon the quality of the polished surface produced by metallographic preparation. A well-prepared surface must first be free of plucked material and have minimal relief between the hard and soft constituents. The entire surface must be flat to allow a clear view of the interface and any reaction products that might be present in the coating or the substrate. Furthermore, the finished polished specimen must be scratch-free and have no resolution destroying films or stains. Various metal and oxide coatings on ferrous substrate material are used to demonstrate the excellent microstructural detail that is revealed when correct polishing procedures are used. These special techniques successfully address the problems normally encountered when preparing hard, brittle coatings or softer metallic coatings and substrates. As a result, clear microstructures are revealed across the specimen surface and valuable information is obtained.

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), a component of Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, is aimed primarily at managing and minimizing the risks inherent in pharmaceutical manufacture to ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of products. Provision of adequate number of personnel with the necessary qualifications/practical experience and their continuous training and evaluation of effectiveness of the training is the responsibility of the manufacturer. (World Health Organization [WHO], 2014; International Organization for Standardization [ISO], 2015). The classroom method of training that has been used for GMP capacity building in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Nigeria over the years, delivered by experts from stringently regulated markets, have not yielded commensurate improvement in the Quality Management Systems (QMS) in the industry. It is necessary and long over-due to explore an alternative training method that has a track record of success in other sectors. A lot of studies carried out on mentoring as a development tool in several fields such as academia, medicine, business, research etc., reported positive outcomes. The aim of this study was to explore mentoring as an alternative GMP training method in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Nigeria. Specifically, the aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of mentoring as a GMP capability building tool in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Nigeria, with focus on GMP documentations in XYZ pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in South-Western region of Nigeria. The methodology comprised gap assessment of GMP documentation of XYZ company to generate current state data, development of training materials based on the identified gaps and use of the training materials for the mentoring sessions. The outcome of the study was outstanding as gap assessment identified the areas of need that enabled development efforts to be targeted at these areas, unlike generic classroom training. The mentees’ acceptance of the mentoring support was evident by their request for additional training in some other areas related to the microbiology operations that were not covered in the gap assessment. This result portrays mentoring as a promising tool for GMP capacity building, but more structured studies need to be conducted in this area to generate results that can be generalized.

Over the last few decades, the organic agriculture sector has experienced sustained growth. Globally, as well as in the European Union and Portugal, organic production accounts for just under 10% of total Utilised Agricultural Area (UAA) (FiBL, 2019; Eurostat, 2019; DGADR, 2019; INE, 2019; GPP, 2019). This growth has been seen in terms of production, number of producers, amount of retail sales, imports and exports. This article attempts to build on the multi-level perspective (MLP) of the socio-technical (ST) transitions theory by employing a whole systems analysis (Geels, 2018) of organic agriculture in Portugal, which defends an integrated vision of the systems, where multiple interactions occur within and among the niche, the regime and the landscape levels. This approach has been employed in order to develop a critical analysis of the current state of the Portuguese organic agriculture sector, stressing the multiplicity of elements that are contributing to the agro-food system´s transformation into a more sustainable one. In fact, the agro-food system is related with climate change but also has connections with other domains such as public health, water management, land use and biodiversity. Therefore, it is affected by shifts in these areas. This analysis considers developments in increasing domestic organic production, number of producers, amount of retail sales, imports, exports, market innovations, and the sector´s reconfiguration. The organic sector´s increase has been attributed to European regulation, institutionalization, standardization, farmer certification, external (government) subsidy support programs, incremental market improvements (visibility and product access), the emergence of new retailers, the rise of supporting consumers and a shift away from conventional agriculture (Truninger, 2010; DGADR, 2019; Pe´er et al, 2019). However, together with positive incentives, this sector also faces numerous barriers that are hindering a faster transformation. Difficulties for the sector to date have included: product placement; a disconnect between production, distribution and marketing systems; high transport costs; competition from imports; European subsidies focused on extensive crops (pastures, olive groves, and arable crops), entailing a substantial growth in the area of pasture to the detriment of other crops; the fact that the products that are in demand (fresh vegetables and fruit) are being neglected by Portuguese producers; expensive certification procedures; lack of adequate support and market expertise for national producers; the hybrid configuration of the sector; and price. Organic agriculture as a niche-innovation is still not greatly contributing to overall agricultural production. The low supply of organic products, despite its ever-increasing demand, suggests that a transition to increased organic production requires a deeper and faster food system reconfiguration, where an array of distinct policies are mobilized and a diversity of actions take place at different levels (Geels, 2018; Pe´er et al, 2019). This paper will attempt to contribute an overall critical assessment of the organic sector´s features and evolution and will identify some of the main obstacles to be overcome, in order to boost the sustainability transition of the agro-food system in Portugal.
