XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam pengembangan teknologi informasi, selain bergerak dalam pengembangan teknologi informasi PT. XYZ juga aktif bergerak dalam memberikan edukasi kepada mahasiswa, dosen dan masyarakat dalam bentuk event-event pembelajaran yang diadakan oleh PT. XYZ. Setelah berjalannya waktu muncul beberapa kendala yang timbul, dikarenakan pendaftaran melalui formulir pendaftaran online menyebabkan pendaftar harus melakukan pengisian data lengkap berulang kali jika mengikuti event yang berbeda dan informasi event sangat terbatas karena hanya disosialisasikan melalui Instagram. Hal tersebut membuat ketidaknyamanan pada sisi pendaftar sehingga bisa mengurangi antusias pendaftaran event. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun aplikasi berupa aplikasi web yang bertujuan untuk mengelola informasi event secara lengkap dan memudahkan pendaftar melakukan pendaftaran. Dalam pengembangan sistem ini menggunakan Framework Spring Boot dengan bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan adalah bahasa pemrograman Java. Spring Boot sangat memudahkan dalam pengembangan sistem karena bersifat open source, dokumentasi yang lengkap, dan modul yang cukup lengkap seperti JDBC, ORM, Servlet, dll. Spring Boot sendiri mendukung pembuatan aplikasi berbasis restfull web Service sehingga memungkinkan programer untuk mengkombinasikan dengan bahasa pemrograman yang lain. Hasil dari penelitian ini sendiri adalah sebuah aplikasi web event.

In this paper, a web system for Wind farm power prediction is presented. By using annotation-based Spring 3 platform and technologies including FreeMarker and JFreechart, process of web design is simplified and quickly finished. In addition, the web system can be easily maintained and expanded. Finally, the establishment of wind power prediction web system is convenient for bidding of power market and maintenance of wind farms.Usually, wind farms are located in remote area and wind turbines belonging to the same wind farm are not in the same area. It is difficult for the dispatching and the management departments which are far away from wind farm to obtain data, such as power generation and the changing wind speed. So, it is necessary to build a distributional, open and real-time web system to predict power of wind farms.As the development of Internet and web technology, it is easier to apply web according to different and complex enterprises demands. And the focus of web design was to make application more convenient, more powerful and more flexible. In this paper, in order to design the forecasting web system, the lightweight container Spring3 was taken as a development platform, Spring MVC as web framework, Spring JPA as data persistence technology, Spring Security3 as Web security management. Moreover, FreeMarker was adopted as view template and JFreeChart as figure display tool. The web system provides the dispatching and the management departments with an information sharing platform which is safe, efficient, stable, extendible and easy to be maintained.

The task of this work wass to assess the impact of new organo-mineral complex based on peat Gumiton, enriched with trace elements (B, Mo, Mn), on the yield and quality of spring wheat, including under conditions of technogenic soil pollution. In a series of field experiments on various types of soils of the Kaluga Region and the Republic of Tatarstan of Russia in farms of various forms of ownership, it was shown that the treatment of spring wheat crops of various varieties with Gumiton in various phases of plant development contributed to an increase in yield by 15-25%. Under the conditions of the growing experiment on soddy-podzolic sandy loam soil, double Gumiton treatment of spring wheat crops of Rima variety increases the B content in the grain to 1.4; Mo-by 1.3 times relative to the variants without the use of the drug. Gumiton reduces the accumulation of Cd in grain up to 1.2 times and improves zootechnical indicators of grain-increases the protein content by 0.9%, fat - up to 0.6%. Gumiton is a highly effective complex for use in spring wheat cultivation technologies, which increases the yield and quality of grain and reduces the accumulation of pollutants (heavy metals).

The focus of the Architectures for Intelligent Theory-Based Agents AAAI symposium was the definition of architectures for intelligent theory-based agents, comprising languages, knowledge representation methodologies, reasoning algorithms, and control loops. The Creative Intelligent Systems Symposium included five major discussion sessions and a general poster session (in which all contributing papers were presented). The purpose of this symposium was to explore the synergies between creative cognition and intelligent systems. The goal of the Emotion, Personality, and Social Behavior symposium was to examine fundamental issues in affect and personality in both biological and artificial agents, focusing on the roles of these factors in mediating social behavior. The Semantic Scientific Knowledge Symposium was interested in bringing together the semantic technologies community with the scientific information technology community in an effort to build the general semantic science information community. The goal of the Symbiotic Relationships between the Semantic Web and Software Engineering symposium was to explore how the lessons learned by the knowledge-engineering community over the past three decades could be applied to the bold research agenda of current workers in semantic web technologies. The purpose of the Using AI to Motivate Greater Participation in Computer Science symposium was to identify ways that topics in AI may be used to motivate greater student participation in computer science by highlighting fun, engaging, and intellectually challenging developments in AI-related curriculum at a number of educational levels. Web services have become quintessential in web application development. RESTful web services are one way of providing interoperability between computer systems on the internet. REST-compliant web services allow requesting systems to access and manipulate textual representations of web resources using a uniform and predefined set of stateless operations. These services, which are online APIs, can be accessed from various applications and the results can be used to offer specific functionality to users. This project consists of an Android app, a Server application and a Client application. The Server application exposes a REST API (Web Services developed using REpresentational State Transfer (REST) protocol) using, which the consuming client applications can make use of various functionalities as services across the network. The Android app would be installed in the smart phone present in each vehicle of the fleet, this app would send live location data to the database using the REST API. The manager uses the client application to track the vehicles in real time, the manager can also choose to track a particular vehicle. The API could also be used to integrate the services with other systems. This project serves to a wide variety of users, from small local businesses owning tens or hundreds of vehicle to parents who would like to track the location of their children in real time. This project aims to help the managers/owners better control and track the vehicles. Also, the exposed API could be used by other developers to customize or extend this application. This project is easy to install, use and hence friendly for users with even minimal computer skills.

In the field of software engineering, the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture was a great breakthrough that was introduced in the 1970s. It is an architectural pattern that is useful for structuring software applications. MVC divides an application into three components: 1) Model, 2) View, and 3) Controller. This separation provides great modularity, which results in ease of maintenance for systems employing this architecture. A software framework is a collection of modules and connectors that embody a given software architecture. In the spirit of software reuse, the Spring Framework has been integrated for implementing the MVC architecture.

In this document, a Web Application is presented that demonstrates the features and characteristics of the MVC architecture and Spring Framework. All the development technologies that are used in the Web-application will be discussed along with the Object-Oriented-Analysis and Design methodology.

Job Portal is the solution where recruiter as well as the job seeker meet aiming at fulfilling their individual requirement. They are the cheapest as well as the fastest source of communication reaching wide range of audience on just a single click irrespective of their geographical distance. The web application “Job Search Portal” provides an easy and convenient search application for the job seekers to find their desired jobs and for the recruiters to find the right candidate. Job seekers from any background can search for the current job openings. Job seekers can register with the application and update their details and skill set. They can search for available jobs and apply to their desired positions. Android, being open source has already made its mark in the mobile application development. To make things handy, the user functionalities are developed as an Android application. Employer can register with the application and posts their current openings. They can view the Job applicants and can screen them according to the best fit. Users can provide a review about an organization and share their interview experience, which can be viewed by the Employers.

Web Technologies, particularly the web application, have become an essential component of the business world in our daily life. By utilizing the web application, it is convenient for human beings to search the information, make the payment and communicate with others through Internet. However, according to a report from the Society of Digital Agencies, 77% of companies believe that poor website user experience is a weakness for their clients, which making poor user experience the most significant weakness agencies identified. As for current monolithic web application of booking course system, all the components are tightly integrated in one module so that it is difficult to maintain and make changes for both currents functions and new functions. In addition, the algorithms of some functions are vulnerable. For example, the offer code corresponding to the one course can be used for another course that should not be on sales promotion. This thesis presents a decoupling of the monolithic architecture. The monolithic architecture composes all in one piece and implement an alternative solution for booking course system based on representational state transfer web service, spring, WordPress and bootstrap frameworks. Moreover, this thesis focuses on improving the vulnerable algorithm for the old booking system. In the end, some non-functional requirement like user experience will also be taken in consideration. In this thesis, the result proves the feasibility of the decoupling monolithic architecture by exploiting RESTful web services.

Men enligt en rapport från the Society of Digital Agencies upplever 77% av företagen att en dåligt webbupplevelse påverkar slutkunderna, vilket gör webbupplevelsen till den största påverkande faktorn som the Society of Digital Agencies har identifierat. Det existerande webbokningssystemet är en monolit, där samtliga komponenter är tätt integrerade i en modul. Denna integrerade arkitektur gör det svårt att underhålla och förändra systemet. I tillägg finns det sårbarheter i systemet, som till exempel att rabattkoder för en kurs kan användas även på andra kurser, som inte ska rabatteras. Uppsatsen presenterar en frikoppling av den integrerade strukturen för systemet. Den nya arkitekturen bygger på representational state transfer web services, spring, wordpress samt bootstrap ramverken. I tillägg förbättras även de sårbara algoritmerna i det existerande bokningssystemet. Slutligen inkluderas ickefunktionella krav på användarvänlighet. I den här avhandlingen visar resultatet att det är möjligt att avmontera monolitisk arkitektur genom att utnyttja RESTful webbtjänster.

This thesis is focused on a comparison of two frameworks, built on two different platforms. The first one is a PHP-based framework Nette and the second one is Spring, developed in Java. They both are popular choices of frameworks on their respective platforms. The first part of the thesis' target is to introduce the reader to elementary ideas related to frameworks - design pattern MVC. The second part describes the Nette framework, the third is devoted to Spring framework. The fourth part deals with an example application and it's realization in both Nette and Spring, and the fifth and last part compares both frameworks, evaluates them and closes the whole topic.

This project focuses on web security. Some of the most famous vulnerabilities, known troubling web applications. Has been collected and analyzed. Each vulnerability collected in this project, was exploited and secured. Demon- strations from a web application prototype, developed for this project. Brings real examples for each vulnerability, both secured, and insecured. The proto- type ran on a Tomcat web server, and was developed with frameworks such as Web, Spring and Hibernate. Connected to one PostgreSQL data source. All vulnerabilities was successfully implemented in Spring framework, and they were all exploited. Every vulnerability was also secured, with different tools and methods from earlier mentioned frameworks. As a result, real examples from the prototype is used for demonstration in the project, both in a secure and an insecure state. The result views Spring as a framework with good security potential. Most of the Spring specific vulnerabilities, are logical design flaws from developers that can be avoided. Vulnerabilities not related to Spring, such as the one collected for this project. Could be prevented by using methods from the Spring framework or intelligent programming. Which leads to conclusions. Web applications are always exposed to attacks, no matter the framework in use. Creative hackers search to discover new vul- nerabilities, and update old ones all the time. Developers has a responsibility, towards the web applications users. Web applications can not just developed for normal use, but also against possible misuse. Frameworks with good reputation and well processed models, is a good ground for developing a secure application.

To inform the development of an interactive web-based rural health atlas, the Rural Atlas team within the Spatial Determinants Lab at Carleton University, Department of Health Sciences carried out two sets of informal interviews (User Needs Assessment and Tool Development). These interviews were conducted in order to obtain insight from key stakeholders that have been involved in rural health settings, rural health policy or advocacy, or the development of health mapping tools. Interviews took place via video-conferencing software with participants in the spring of 2020.The following report provides a brief summary of the findings of both sets of interviews.

Springtime atmospheric mercury depletion events (AMDEs) lead to snow with elevated mercury concentrations (>200 ng Hg/L) in the Arctic and Antarctic. During AMDEs gaseous elemental mercury (GEM) is photochemically oxidized by halogens to reactive gaseous mercury which is deposited to the snowpack. This reactive mercury is either photochemically reduced back to GEM and reemitted to the atmosphere or remains in the snowpack until spring snowmelt. GEM is also deposited to the snowpack and tundra vegetation by reactive surface uptake (dry deposition) from the atmosphere. There is little consensus on the proportion of AMDE-sourced Hg versus Hg from dry deposition that is released in spring runoff. We used mercury stable isotope measurements of GEM, snowfall, snowpack, snowmelt, surface water, vegetation, and peat from a northern Alaska coastal watershed to quantify Hg sources. Although high Hg concentrations are deposited to the snowpack during AMDEs, we estimate that ∼76 to 91% is released back to the atmosphere prior to snowmelt. Mercury deposited to the snowpack as GEM comprises the majority of snowmelt Hg and has a Hg stable isotope composition similar to Hg deposited by reactive surface uptake of GEM into the leaves of trees in temperate forests. This GEM-sourced Hg is the dominant Hg we measured in the spring snowpack and in tundra peat permafrost deposits.

Original objectives: [a] Screen an array of chickpea and wild annual Cicer germplasm for winter survival. [b] Genetic analysis of winter hardiness in domesticated x wild chickpea crosses. [c] Genetic analysis of vernalization response in domesticated x wild chickpea crosses. [d] Digital expression analysis of a core selection of breeding and germplasm lines of chickpea that differ in winter hardiness and vernalization. [e] Identification of the genes involved in the chickpea winter hardiness and vernalization and construction of gene network controlling these traits. [f] Assessing the phenotypic and genetic correlations between winter hardiness, vernalization response and Ascochyta blight response in chickpea. The complexity of the vernalization response and the inefficiency of our selection experiments (below) required quitting the work on ascochyta response in the framework of this project. Background to the subject: Since its introduction to the Palouse region of WA and Idaho, and the northern Great Plains, chickpea has been a spring rotation legume due to lack of winter hardiness. The short growing season of spring chickpea limits its grain yield and leaves relatively little stubble residue for combating soil erosion. In Israel, chilling temperatures limit pod setting in early springs and narrow the effective reproductive time window of the crop. Winter hardiness and vernalization response of chickpea alleles were lost due to a series of evolutionary bottlenecks; however, such alleles are prevalent in its wild progenitor’s genepool. Major conclusions, solutions, achievements: It appears that both vernalization response and winter hardiness are polygenic traits in the wild-domesticated chickpea genepool. The main conclusion from the fieldwork in Israel is that selection of domesticated winter hardy and vernalization responsive types should be conducted in late flowering and late maturity backgrounds to minimize interference by daylength and temperature response alleles (see our Plant Breeding paper on the subject). The main conclusion from the US winter-hardiness studies is that excellent lines have been identified for germplasm release and continued genetic study. Several of the lines have good seed size and growth habit that will be useful for introgressing winter-hardiness into current chickpea cultivars to develop releases for autumn sowing. We sequenced the transcriptomes and profiled the expression of genes in 87 samples. Differential expression analysis identified a total of 2,452 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between vernalized plants and control plants, of which 287 were shared between two or more Cicer species studied. We cloned 498 genes controlling vernalization, named CVRN genes. Each of the CVRN genes contributes to flowering date advance (FDA) by 3.85% - 10.71%, but 413 (83%) other genes had negative effects on FDA, while only 83 (17%) had positive effects on FDA, when the plant is exposed to cold temperature. The cloned CVRN genes provide new toolkits and knowledge to develop chickpea cultivars that are suitable for autumn-sowing. Scientific & agricultural implications: Unlike the winter cereals (barley, wheat) or pea, in which a single allelic change may induce a switch from winter to spring habit, we were unable to find any evidence for such major gene action in chickpea. In agricultural terms this means that an alternative strategy must be employed in order to isolate late flowering – ascochyta resistant (winter types) domesticated forms to enable autumn sowing of chickpea in the US Great Plains. An environment was identified in U.S. (eastern Washington) where autumn-sown chickpea production is possible using the levels of winter-hardiness discovered once backcrossed into advanced cultivated material with acceptable agronomic traits. The cloned CVRN genes and identified gene networks significantly advance our understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying plant vernalization in general, and chickpea in particular, and provide a new toolkit for switching chickpea from a spring-sowing to autumn-sowing crop.

The northeastern United States is a diverse region containing the seven most densely populated States in the Nation. Agriculture in the Northeast is varied, including vegetable production, ornamentals and fruits, animal production, and field crops. Forests are a dominant land use in the northern parts of the region and in the Appalachian Mountains. Northeast farmers are already experiencing crop damage from extreme precipitation. Wet springs are delaying planting and harvest dates and reducing yields for grain and vegetables. Heavy rain in the Northeast has increased more than any other region in the country.

Atmospheric mercury (Hg) is deposited to Polar Regions during springtime atmospheric mercury depletion events (AMDEs) that require halogens and snow or ice surfaces. The fate of this Hg during and following snowmelt is largely unknown. We measured Hg, major ions, and stable water isotopes from the snowpack through the entire spring melt runoff period for two years. Our small (2.5 ha) watershed is near Barrow (now Utqiaġvik), Alaska. We measured discharge, made 10 000 snow depths, and collected over 100 samples of snow and meltwater for chemical analysis in 2008 and 2009 from the watershed snowpack and ephemeral stream channel. Our results suggest AMDE Hg complexed with Cl⁻ or Br⁻ may be less likely to be photochemically reduced and re-emitted to the atmosphere prior to snowmelt, and we estimate that roughly 25% of the Hg in snowmelt is attributable to AMDEs. Projected Arctic warming, with more open sea ice leads providing halogen sources that promote AMDEs, may provide enhanced Hg deposition, reduced Hg emission and, ultimately, an increase in snowpack and snowmelt runoff Hg concentrations.

SO277 OMAX served two scientific projects. The objectives of the first project, SMART, were to develop multi-disciplinary methodologies to detect, quantify, and model offshore groundwater reservoirs in regions dominated by carbonate geology such as the Mediterranean Sea. To this end we acquired controlled-source electromagnetic, seismic, hydroacoustic, geochemical, seafloor imagery data off Malta. Preliminary evaluation of the geophysical data show that there are resisitivity anomalies that may represent offshore freshwater aquifers. The absence of evidence for offshore springs means that these aquifers would be confined and that it will be difficult to use them in a sustainable manner. The objective of the second project, MAPACT-ETNA, is to monitor the flank of Etna volcano on Sicily which is slowly deforming seaward. Here, we deployed six seafloor geodesy stations and six ocean bottom seismometers for long-term observation (1-3 years). In addition, we mapped the seafloor off Mt. Etna and off the island of Stromboli to constrain the geological processes that control volcanic flank stability.
