Azerbaijan has rich historical monuments. Among these historical monuments, the historical monuments of Shushi occupy a special place. The names of 129 historical monuments and 14 quarters of Shushi were expressed in one source. The names of some of these monuments are mentioned in this article; it is considered advisable for schoolchildren and students to familiarize themselves with these monuments. Parents – in the family, teachers – in class, in extracurricular activities should work with children on the historical monuments of Shushi.

Thus, summarizing our scientific research, we can clearly emphasize that theatrical art flourished in Artsakh in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. It should be noted that until the second half of the 19th century, the Armenians of Artsakh had their theatrical traditions for centuries. There was theater in dance art, at parties and events. But there was no professional theater yet, preconditions were created for that only when in 1865 famous figures of the Armenian theater Gevorg Chmshkyan, Mihrdat Americyan and Sedrak Mandinyan came to Shushi. And the Mkrtich Khandamiryan Theater was built in Shushi in 1891. It had a 350-seat hall. Separate issues related to the socio-economic, political and cultural events in Artsakh were covered in almost all issues of the three-day literary-social newspaper "Karabakh". Covering the theatrical art of Artsakh in 19111912, the newspaper emphasized that the theater continued to flourish in that period. Theatrical performances took place in different parts of Artsakh. A number of interesting and multi-genre theatrical performances took place at the Diocesan school of Shusha, at the Mariamyan girls 'school, at the Hripsimyan girls' school, at the school of the Saint Astvatsatsin church of Aguletsots, at the school of boys of the Saint Astvatsatsin church of Megretsots, at the Mariam-Ghukasyan school, at the school of Realakan. A number of interesting and multi-genre theatrical performances also took place at the Diocesan School of Shushi, at the Girls' School of Mariamyan, at the Girls' School of Hripsimyan, at the school of Aguletsots St. Astvatsatsin Church, at the Boys' School of Meghretsots St. Astvatsatsin Church, at the school of Mariam-Ghukasyan, at the school of Realakan, at kindergartens, in private homes of wealthy people and at other places at that time. Numerous multi-genre performances also took place in 1911-1912: "Adam and Eve" Vardanank, " The savage", "The Charlatan", "Heart is a mystery", "Naughty", "The Valley of Tears", "The Engaged" drama, "Modern Heroes" comedy, famous playwright Gordin's drama "The devil", the drama "Christine", Nardos' drama "The Killed Dove", Measnitsky's drama "I died" and other performances.

The essence of the policy of the Azerbaijani authorities to change the ownership of the monument, its rejection from the Armenians, as well as the manifestation of vandalism against the church is revealed. The study was carried out by retrieving archival materials; discussing and conducting own original research.

Inspired by the work of Adcock, Landsman, and Shushi (2019) which established the Stein’s lemma for generalized skew-elliptical random vectors, we derive Stein type lemmas for location-scale mixture of generalized skew-elliptical random vectors. Some special cases such as the location-scale mixture of elliptical random vectors, the location-scale mixture of generalized skew-normal random vectors, and the location-scale mixture of normal random vectors are also considered. As an application in risk theory, we give a result for optimal portfolio selection.

Our scientific research is dedicated to the study of the church architecture and urban art of Artsakh of the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century which is based on valuable materials published in the pages of the periodical press of Eastern Armenian. The article shows with undeniable facts that along with other branches of the Armenian culture the architecture and urban planning art developed in Artsakh during the period. Many magnificent architectural monuments, public buildings, printing houses, schools and other cultural centers were built. Previously built architectural monuments continued their activities in that period as well, some of which were renovated in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Among the historical and cultural values Dadivank (Khota Monastery or Charektar Monastery), the monastery of Amaras, the monastery of Gandzasar, the monastery of St. Hakoba, St. George Monastery (in the Khachen province), St. Yeghishe Monastery (in the Javanshir province), St. Ghondeants Monastery (Ghondik - desert, built in Varanda, near the village of Avetaranots), Gtich or Gtchavanq (in the Dizak province, near the village of Togh), Spitak Khach Monastery (in Dizak), Yerits Mankants Monastery, Inn Masants Monastery are known. The rapid and diversified development of the non-oil sector, especially tourism, plays an important role in the formation of a competitive and sustainable economy in Azerbaijan. In order to ensure competitiveness in the tourist market, favorable conditions for long-term and dynamic development of different types of tourism in our country have been created. The incredible nature of the Karabakh region, the heart of which is Shusha, named after the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, claiming to be the cultural capital of the Islamic world, will once again become a world-famous resort and treatment resort. Shusha is the basis of Azerbaijani music and poetry, and is also considered one of the most beautiful corners of the country, which at the time was a mountainous climatic resort, where they visited not only the whole Union, but also the world. Unfortunately, the 30-year-old Armenian occupation outfit with architectural values destroyed the entire resort infrastructure. Today, the priority is given to the economic policy of our state, the restoration of infrastructure and the development of the Karabakh region. The huge cultural potential and ancient heritage of the city of Shushi, as well as the large number of landmarks of historical, archeological and architectural character give the opportunity to organize a variety of excursions and excursions. Хандамиряна, который своими архитектурными и техническими решениями, постановочными возможностями был исключительным явлением в культурной жизни армянского общества того времени. At the end of the XIX c. and the beginning of the XX c. Shoushi was considered one of the centers of Eastern Armenian performing arts. For the touring cast, who were well acquainted with Tiflis and Baku, the summer city of Shushi was attractive not only due to its geographical and climate peculiarities, but also its keen-on-art audience with refined taste, as well as, the gorgeous Khandamiryan Theatre which along with its architectural and Тамар Айрапетян technical solutions and performance possibilities was a unique phenomenon during those days in Armenian cultural life.

С началом войны 27-го сентября 2020-го года вооружённые силы Азербайджана намеренно и открыто начали наносить удары по историко-культурному наследию Арцаха, тем самым не только нарушая взятые на себя обязательства, возложенные различными международными конвенциями, но и общепринятые нормы международного права по защите культурного наследия. В данной статье на примере обстрела со стороны Азербайджана церкви Сурб Аменапркич в Шуши, представлен анализ принципов защиты культурного наследия во время войны (при военной необходимости). Since the start of the war on September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijani armed forces have openly targeted the Armenian cultural heritage of Artsakh, violating not only its international obligations, imposed by various conventions, but also the generally accepted customary international norms for the protection of cultural heritage. In this article, on the example of the shelling of the St. Amenaprkich (St. All-Savior) or Ghazanchetsots Church in Shushi by Azerbaijan, an analysis of the principle of military necessity for the protection of cultural heritage during the war is presented.

Анотація:
The article is the first attempt to reveal the mechanisms of “the cultural transfer” (the notion was first introduced by the French theorist M. Espagne) of the Armenian and Russian translations of Charles Dickens’s novels. Evidently, the Armenian translations of the novels were transferred and interpreted especially from the beginning of the 1880s, in Shushi (1890-91), Tiflis (different publications in the 1890s), Constantinople (1928), Baku (1898), Athens (1928), Cairo (1892), etc. The Armenian versions of Dickens’s creativity were either paraphrased or translated from the original language or from Russian as an intermediary language. The article outlines theoretical and practical issues related to the specifics of the artistic translation through the paradigm of cultural transfer. Being at the crossroads of West and East the Armenian national culture is characterized as a unique manifestation of cultural transmission and a pivotal basis of socio-cultural and geopolitical usus. The article sketches the situation of “cultural transfer” of Charles Dickens’s novels whose literary reputation was established in the Russian literary field, that consequently made an influence on Eastern Armenia.

This thesis contributed to unlock the regeneration and transient transformation systems for Tripogon loliiformis, an Australian native extremophile. This resurrection grass has suitable structural, physiological and molecular mechanisms to survive in extreme desiccation. The regeneration and transient transformation systems will assist in establishing a stable transformation system for Tripogon which will enable more understanding of its unique genes for coping abiotic stresses. This may contribute to the bioengineering of these genes to important cereal crops like rice, wheat, maize and sorghum for the improvement of abiotic stress tolerance.

Abraham L. Shushan worked in the shadow of Huey P. Long. Long’s political machine ran on the force of his personality with political power given as a reward to those he considered loyal. Shushan was one such lieutenant who benefited from his unwavering loyalty to Long. Shushan served within the New Orleans political scene helping Long achieve his goals including building the Shushan Airport on the city’s lakefront as well as being instrumental in the construction of the seawall protecting New Orleans along the shoreline of Lake Pontchartrain. By the time he started working for Long, Shushan was already a fixture in New Orleans politics serving on the Orleans Levee Board since 1920. A man of ambition and skill, Huey Long chose Shushan for his political acumen. Shushan’s work for Long cost him his career during the period of “scandal and reform” following the fallout after Long’s assassination in 1935.

A breaker restrike is an abnormal arcing phenomenon, leading to a possible breaker failure. Eventually, this failure leads to interruption of the transmission and distribution of the electricity supply system until the breaker is replaced. Before 2008, there was little evidence in the literature of monitoring techniques based on restrike measurement and interpretation produced during switching of capacitor banks and shunt reactor banks in power systems. In 2008 a non-intrusive radiometric restrike measurement method and a restrike hardware detection algorithm were developed by M.S. Ramli and B. Kasztenny. However, the limitations of the radiometric measurement method are a band limited frequency response as well as limitations in amplitude determination. Current restrike detection methods and algorithms require the use of wide bandwidth current transformers and high voltage dividers. A restrike switch model using Alternative Transient Program (ATP) and Wavelet Transforms which support diagnostics are proposed. Restrike phenomena become a new diagnostic process using measurements, ATP and Wavelet Transforms for online interrupter monitoring. This research project investigates the restrike switch model Parameter „A. dielectric voltage gradient related to a normal and slowed case of the contact opening velocity and the escalation voltages, which can be used as a diagnostic tool for a vacuum circuit-breaker (CB) at service voltages between 11 kV and 63 kV. During current interruption of an inductive load at current quenching or chopping, a transient voltage is developed across the contact gap. The dielectric strength of the gap should rise to a point to withstand this transient voltage. If it does not, the gap will flash over, resulting in a restrike. A straight line is fitted through the voltage points at flashover of the contact gap. This is the point at which the gap voltage has reached a value that exceeds the dielectric strength of the gap. This research shows that a change in opening contact velocity of the vacuum CB produces a corresponding change in the slope of the gap escalation voltage envelope. To investigate the diagnostic process, an ATP restrike switch model was modified with contact opening velocity computation for restrike waveform signature analyses along with experimental investigations. This also enhanced a mathematical CB model with the empirical dielectric model for SF6 (sulphur hexa-fluoride) CBs at service voltages above 63 kV and a generalised dielectric curve model for 12 kV CBs. A CB restrike can be predicted if there is a similar type of restrike waveform signatures for measured and simulated waveforms. The restrike switch model applications are used for: computer simulations as virtual experiments, including predicting breaker restrikes; estimating the interrupter remaining life of SF6 puffer CBs; checking system stresses; assessing point-on-wave (POW) operations; and for a restrike detection algorithm development using Wavelet Transforms. A simulated high frequency nozzle current magnitude was applied to an Equation (derived from the literature) which can calculate the life extension of the interrupter of a SF6 high voltage CB. The restrike waveform signatures for a medium and high voltage CB identify its possible failure mechanism such as delayed opening, degraded dielectric strength and improper contact travel. The simulated and measured restrike waveform signatures are analysed using Matlab software for automatic detection. Experimental investigation of a 12 kV vacuum CB diagnostic was carried out for the parameter determination and a passive antenna calibration was also successfully developed with applications for field implementation. The degradation features were also evaluated with a predictive interpretation technique from the experiments, and the subsequent simulation indicates that the drop in voltage related to the slow opening velocity mechanism measurement to give a degree of contact degradation. A predictive interpretation technique is a computer modeling for assessing switching device performance, which allows one to vary a single parameter at a time; this is often difficult to do experimentally because of the variable contact opening velocity. The significance of this thesis outcome is that it is a non-intrusive method developed using measurements, ATP and Wavelet Transforms to predict and interpret a breaker restrike risk. The measurements on high voltage circuit-breakers can identify degradation that can interrupt the distribution and transmission of an electricity supply system. It is hoped that the techniques for the monitoring of restrike phenomena developed by this research will form part of a diagnostic process that will be valuable for detecting breaker stresses relating to the interrupter lifetime. Suggestions for future research, including a field implementation proposal to validate the restrike switch model for ATP system studies and the hot dielectric strength curve model for SF6 CBs, are given in Appendix A.

Feng shui is an ancient Chinese subject that has been adopted by many architects and interior designers. However, the jury is still out on whether feng shui is a legacy of traditional experience or a design guideline that can be scientifically measured. There are a few studies that discuss the use of feng shui in indoor and outdoor decoration, but for its impact on the human body's psychological perception and physical comfort are still rarely to be discussed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate whether the living room decorated under different feng shui conditions will affect the physiological reaction and psychological feeling of the human body. This study created a virtual experimental scene, made the participants wear VR glasses, measured their physiological value of HRV simultaneously, and conducted semi-structured interviews after completing the POMS psychological measuring table. The results showed that: (1) The results of heart rate variability showed that the living room with better feng shui conditions could provide more stable physiological data for the subjects and make them feel comfortable and stable. However, the pattern with poor feng shui conditions reflects the unstable physiological data of the subjects, which makes people feel anxious and uneasy. (2) The results of the emotion measuring table showed that the living room with better feng shui conditions could provide the subjects with a more pleasant mental state, while the living room with poor feng shui conditions reflected the subjects' less pleasant mental state. (3) In the semi-structured interview, the subjects reported that they would judge their own needs in life and allocate the living room, and would not completely follow the principles of feng shui. The results showed that interior spaces with feng shui in mind generated more positive emotions, while also being perceived as a more comfortable environment.

<p>For several years, and to an increasing extent, BIM techniques have yet been used by Yüksel Proje for the design process of their projects. One of these projects is the Shusha Bridge in Azerbaijan, where, due to its complex geometry, several challenges arose in choosing the right procedures for an efficient application of the used modelling software. A whole series of parametric techniques had to be applied to suitably capture the various structural components. The variability of the geometry of the individual components as well as the detailed tendon layout were recorded with using tables and formulas assigned to the geometric parameters. Advanced techniques such as using Excel sheets and TCL programming complemented the spectrum of applied functionality. Python parts were used for reinforcement modelling and outright assignment of IFC attributes supported data exchange and interoperability.</p>

This baseline report is part of an operations research project “Healthy Women, Healthy Families (HWHF): Shustha Ma, Shustha Poribar” led by Management Sciences for Health (MSH) in partnership with BRAC, SCOPE, and the Population Council. The project aims to improve quality and increase utilization of maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) and family planning (FP) services and information for young mothers-to-be, first-time mothers (FTMs) aged 15-24, and their partners in the urban municipality of Tongi, Gazipur District, Bangladesh, through a group antenatal care ANC-PNC approach. The objectives of this study are to establish baseline values of selected HWHF project result indicators against which the impacts of the project’s intervention can be measured. The target group is young, first-time parents and the study examines the current status of knowledge on MNCH-FP and access to services among FTMs. This quasi-experimental pre-post control group design study employs both quantitative and qualitative data-collection methods. A simple random sampling procedure was employed to select respondents from BRAC FTM lists, while qualitative informants were selected purposively.
