La cafeína es el psicoestimulante activo más consumido en el mundo. Disminuye la sensación de fatiga y la sensibilidad al dolor; además, estimula la actividad motora y genera una sensación de energía y un aumento en la capacidad para concentrarse. Objetivo: evaluar el efecto de la cafeína sobre el desempeño psicométrico en 14 estudiantes universitarios. Material y métodos: se utilizó el test de Terman-Merrill y fue aplicado antes y después de la prueba. Para la segunda medición, se formaron dos grupos de estudio, cada uno conformado por siete sujetos de manera aleatoria. A los integrantes del primer grupo se les dio 150 mg de cafeína y a los del segundo, 200 mg. Para evaluar los efectos se utilizaron las pruebas de Wilcoxon y U de Mann Whitney. Resultados: se observó que, tras la ingesta de cafeína, hay una mejora significativa en algunos parámetros de la cognición del test Terman-Merril, como son el vocabulario (p=0.029), síntesis (p=0.004), y abstracción (p=0.004). Se encontró que una dosis de 200 mg de cafeína ejerce mayor efecto sobre la capacidad de planeación (p=0.049) en comparación de la dosis de 150 mg. Conclusión: la cafeína (200 mg.) mejora significativamente algunos de los aspectos psicométricos del test Terman-Merril. LUXMÉDICA AÑO 15, NÚMERO 44, MAYO-AGOSTO 2020

Background: Kaposiform Hemangioendothelioma (KHE) is a rare vascular tumour of the infancy and of the first decade of life. It is locally aggressive and potentially life threatening when associated to consumptive coagulopathy, known as Kasabach-Merritt syndrome (KMS). No consensus or guideline for the therapy has been reached because of the lack of prospective trials and the different standard care suggestions are based on retrospective case series.Case report: We report the case of a 9-month-old male with KHE and KMS in which the initial response, obtained with prednisone and vincristine, was subsequently consolidated and strengthened by long-term treatment with sirolimus, an mTOR inhibitor. A summary of the published data is presented as well.Conclusions: The inhibition of mTOR pathway represents the most important therapeutic innovation introduced in the last few years for KHE. Our case shows the effectiveness and good tolerance of long-term therapy with sirolimus.Keywords: Kaposiform Hemangioendothelioma, Kasabach-Merrit syndrome, sirolimus, prednisone, vincristine

Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), adalah salah satu dari 3 provinsi di Indonesia sebagai penghasil komoditas kedelai. Komoditas ini di Provinsi NTB dikembangkan sebagai menunjang komoditas kedelai nasional, yang selama ini masih dilakukan impor. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Bima, sebagai salah satu wilayah kabupaten di Provinsi NTB yang berpotensi dalam pengembangan komoditas kedelai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kelas kesesuaian lahan dalam pengembangan tanaman pangan, terutama tanaman kedelai (glycine max L merril) di Kabupaten Bima. Penelitian ini berguna sebagai bahan informasi dan rekomendasi terkait kesesuaian lahan serta dapat dijadikan dasar pengembangan budidaya tanaman kedelai pada lahan kering. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survei dan metode pengumpulan data sekunder berupa peta dan data spasial dari instansi yang terkait. Pengelompokan kelas kesesuaian lahan pada setiap unit lahan menggunakan sistim overlay atau tumpang tepat dengan berpedoman pada kriteria kesesuaian lahan tanaman kedelai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas kesesuaian lahan kering actual, pada kelas cukup sesuai (S2) adalah seluas 3.244,20 ha dengan prosentase sebesar 20,12%; kelas kesesuaian lahan kering sesuai marginal (S3) seluas 28.108,12 ha dengan prosentase 78,43%; dan kelas kesesuaian lahan tidak sesuai (N) sebesar 744 ha dengan prosentase paling kecil yaitu 1,45%. Dengan demikian, potensi lahan kering untuk pengembangan tanaman kedelai (glycine max L merril) di Kabupaten Bima sangat besar yaitu 31.352,32 ha.Abstract: West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, is one of 3 provinces in Indonesia as a producer of soybean commodity. This commodity in NTB Province was developed to support the national soybean commodity, which has been still imported. This research was conducted in Bima Regency as one of the districts in NTB Province which has the potential for developing soybean commodities. This study aims to map land suitability classes for the development of food crops, especially soybean (glycine max (L.) Merrill) in Bima Regency. This research is useful as information and recommendations related to land suitability and can be used as a basis for developing soybean cultivation on dry land. The research method used is the survey method and secondary data collection methods such as maps and spatial data from related agencies. Classification of land suitability classes for each land unit uses an overlay or overlapping system based on criteria of the land suitability for soybean crops. The results showed that suitability class of dry land quite suitable (S2) is 3,244.20 ha with a percentage of 20.12%; suitability class of dry land marginally suitable (S3) covering an area of 28,108.12 ha with a percentage of 78.43%; and unsuitable land suitability class (N) is 744 ha with the smallest percentage of 1.45%. Therefore, the potential of dry land for the development of soybean crop (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) in Bima is very large, that is 31,352.32 ha or 98.55% of the total dry land in Bima Regency.

Telah dilakukan analisis kadar protein dan vitamin C dalam kedelai hitam (Glycine soja (L.) Merrill) dan kedelai kuning (Glycine max (L.) juga tahu dengan beberapa pengerjaan yang berbeda dengan rata-rata perbedaan kadar yang didapat selisih 1% lebih besar kadar kedelai hitam (Glycine soja (L.) Merrill) dibanding kedelai kuning (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) untuk persentasi kadar protein. Sedang untuk kadar vitamin C selisihnyaa tidak mencapai angka 1% namun tetap saja kadar tertinggi dimiliki oleh kedelai hitam (Glycine soja (L.) Merrill) maupun produk olahan tahunya. Pada Uji hedonik yang dilakukan terhadap tahu goreng kedelai hitam (Glycine soja (L.) Merrill) dan tahu goreng kedelai kuning (Glycine max (L.) didapatkan persentasi kesukaan para panelis sebesar 80,66% dan 6733%. Kata Kunci : Kedelai, Tahu Kedelai Kuning, Tahu Kedelai Hitam, Protein, Vitamin C. ABSTRACT We analyzed the levels of protein and vitamin C in the black soybean (Glycine soja (L.) Merrill) and yellow soybean (Glycine max (L.) is also out with a few different treatments with an average difference of differences in levels gained 1% larger levels of black soybean (Glycine soja (L.) Diversos fatores foram investigados a fim de se determinar uma metodologia para regeneração de plantas de soja (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) via embriogênese somática, tendo como base o germoplasma brasileiro de soja. Para isso, cotilédones imaturos foram cultivados in vitro sob diversas condições (regime hormonal, tipo e. concentração de açúcar, etc.). Foram avaliados os parâmetros referentes à embriogênese e a calogênese, assim como observações organográficas e anatômicas. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que altas concentrações (10-25 mg/l) de 2,4-D ou 2,4,5-T (11,5-17,5 mg/l), interrompem a ontogênese do embrióide no estádio globular de desenvolvimento, provavelmente por assegurar o estado meristemático das células. Baixas concentrações destas auxinas promoveram um desenvolvimento precoce dos embrióides. Nessas condições os embrióides eram em sua grande maioria morfologicamente anormais e não puderam ser convertidos em plântulas. A vacuolização precoce das células foi um dos eventos celulares associados a esse processo. Os embrióides tiveram origem multicelular a partir de células da epiderme e sub-epiderme do explante. A sacarose, em concentrações variando de 1,0 a 2,0% foi o açúcar que proporcionou maior eficiência de embriogênese. O processo de indução de embriogênese foi fortemente inibido pela irradiação do explante com raios ϒ. A adição de L-glutamina, L-prolina, caseína hidrolisada, extrato de malte ou extrato de levedura não estimulou a indução de embriogênese. A suplementação com ABA ou BA inibiu a indução de embriogênese e não favoreceu a maturação dos embrióides. As maiores eficiências de embriogênese foram obtidas cultivando-se os explantes na posição abaxial. Tanto a indução de embriogênese quanto a maturação dos embrióides foram fortemente afetadas pelo genótipo da planta doadora do explante. Não foi evidenciada a existência de interação entre genótipo e o meio de cultura (tipo e concentração de auxina). A luz favoreceu a indução de embriogênese, sob altas concentrações de auxina, mas inibiu completamente a maturação dos embrióides. Os embrióides induzidos pelo 2,4,5-T apresentaram uma maior frequência de maturação. Com base nesses resultados foi proposto um protocolo reproduzível para regeneração de plântulas assim como um modelo de origem dos embrióides. A aplicação dessa metodologia na obtenção de somaclones e de plantas de soja transgênicas foi discutida.
Several factors were studied in order to stabilish a methodology for soybean Glycine max (L.) Merrill) plant regeneration through somatic embryogenesis, im Brazilian soybean germplasm. Immature cotyledons were cultured in vitro, under several conditions (type and concentrations of plant regulators, sugars, etc.). Parameters of embryogenesis, callus formation, morphological and anatomical observations were assessed qualitative and quantitatively. The results threin analysed showed that high concentrations (10-25 mg/l) of 2,4-D or 2,4,5-T (11,5-17,5 mg/l) 2,4,5-T suspended embryoid ontogenesis at the globular stage, probably by maintaining the meristematic state of the cell. Low auxin concentrations promoted premature embryo development. In this condition, mostly embryoids were morphological abnormal and could not be converted into plantlets. Early vacuolation of the cells was an event associated with this process. Somatic embryos had multicellular origin from epidermal and su-epidermal explant cells. Concentrations of sucrose ranging from 1.0 to 2.0% presented the highest embryogenesis efficiency. The process of embryogenesis induction was strongly inhibited by explant gamma rays irradiation. Addition of L-glutamine, L-proline, casein hydrolysate, malt extract, or yeast extract to culture medium, did not enhance embryonic induction. Medium supplementation with ABA or BA inhibited embryogenesis induction and did not favour embryoid maturation. The highest embryogenesis efficiency was obtained culturing the explants with the abaxial surface in contact with the medium Either embryogenesis induction and embryoid maturation was strongly influenced by the genotype of the explant donor plant. It was not found any interaction between genotype and culture medium. The presence of light favoured embryogenesis induction, under high auxin concentration, but completely supressed embryoid maturation. Embryoids formed by the addition of 2,4,5-T showed a high maturation frequency. Regarding these results, a reproducible procedure for plantlet regeneration was proposed, as well as a model for embryoid origin. The potential application of this metodolog in the obtention of somaclones and transgenic soybean plants is discussed.

This is a preprint published in Journal of Documentation 62 (4): 462-481. Purpose: This paper examines William Stetson Merrill, the compiler of A Code for Classifiers and a Newberry Library employee (1889-1930) in an attempt to glean lessons for modern information studies from an early librarianâ s career. Methodology/Approach: Merrillâ s career at the Newberry Library and three editions of the Code are examined using historical, bibliographic, and conceptual methods. Primary and secondary sources in archives and libraries are reviewed to provide insight into Merrillâ s life at the Newberry and his attempts to develop or modify tools to solve the knowledge organization problems he faced. The concept of bricolage, developed by Levi-Strauss to explain modalities of thinking, is applied to Merrillâ s career. Excerpts from his works and reminisces are used to explain Merrill as a bricoleur and highlight the characteristics of bricolage. Research Implications and Limitations: Findings show that Merrill worked collaboratively to collocate and integrate a variety of ideas from a diverse group of librarians such as Cutter, Pettee, Poole, Kelley, Rudolph, and Fellows. Bliss and Ranganathan were aware of the Code but the extent to which they were influenced by it remains to be explored. Although this is an anachronistic evaluation, Merrill serves as an example of the archetypal information scientist who improvises and integrates methods from bibliography, cataloging, classification, and indexing to solve problems of information retrieval and design usable information products and services for human consumption. Originality/Value of Paper: Bricolage offers great potential to information practitioners and researchers today as we continue to try and find user-centered solutions to the problems of digital information organization and services. This study aimed to evaluate the performace of soybean cultivar subjected to nitrogen and plant management , depending on the supply of nitrogen and fungicide protection programs for disease. To this end an experiment was conducted in the floodplain environment and another in coxilha environment, in the municipality of Sao Sepe - RS , using a randomized block design with split-split plots with a factor in range . The first factor ( cultivars ) was arranged in the main plots on track . The second factor (nitrogen ) was willing subplots and the third factor ( fungicides ) was randomized within subsubplots . Four replications ( blocks ) were used . Soybean cultivars RR Turbo BMX , were used , NA 5909 RG and BMX Potencia RR. As a second factor , seasons of nitrogen supply , was composed of four levels : N1 - inoculation with Bradyrhizobium japonicum ; N2 - inoculation with B. japonicum + N coverage ; N3 - inoculation with B. japonicum sowing + N , N 4 - inoculation with B. japonicum + N + N seeding coverage. And as a third factor protection programs sprayed the phenological stages V6 and only strobilurin , R1 , R3 and R5 triazole mixture strobilurin disease , They are: T1 - control without fungicide application , T2 - >> Azoxystrobin Azoxystrobin + Cyproconazole; T3 - Piraclostobina >> Pyraclostrobin + Epoxiconazole , T4 - Trifloxystrobin >> Trifloxystrobin + Prothioconazole. We evaluated the relative chlorophyll content ( TRC ) in the three thirds of the canopy , plant height , dry shoot mass , defoliation ( % ) , severity and area under disease progress curve ( AACDP ) , grain yield and thousand grain weight . The rust control using different protection programs for disease varied according to cultivar . The lowest values of defoliation and AACPD were observed with the nitrogen supply , as the application of fungicides provided lower values . Higher productivity differences relative to nitrogen was observed in the floodplain environment where the supply of seed and coating gave the highest yield .
O trabalho objetivou avaliar o desempenho de cutivares de soja submetidas ao manejo nitrogenado e fitossanitário, em função do fornecimento de nitrogênio mineral e programas fungicidas de proteção à doença em relação ao progresso da ferrugem asiátia. Para isso foi conduzido um experimento em ambiente de várzea e outro em ambiente de coxilha, no municipio de São Sepé RS, utilizando-se o delineamento blocos ao acaso com parcelas subsubdivididas com um fator em faixa. O primeiro fator (cultivares) foi disposto em faixa sobre as parcelas principais. O segundo fator (nitrogênio) foi disposto nas subparcelas e o terceiro fator (fungicidas) foi casualizado dentro das subsubparcelas. Foram utilizadas quatro repetições (blocos). Foram utilizadas as cultivares de soja BMX Turbo RR, NA 5909 RG e BMX Potência RR. Como segundo fator, as épocas de fornecimento de nitrogênio, foi composto de quatro níveis: N1 - Inoculação com Bradyrhizobium japonicum; N2 - Inoculação com B. japonicum + N cobertura; N3 - Inoculação com B. japonicum + N semeadura;N 4 - Inoculação com B. japonicum + N semeadura + N cobertura. E como terceiro fator os programas de proteção à doença pulverizados nos estádios fenológicos V6 apenas com estrobilurinas e em, R1, R3 e R5 a mistura triazol estrobilurina, Sendo eles: T1 - Testemunha sem aplicação de fungicidas; T2 Azoxistrobina>> Azoxistrobina + Ciproconazole; T3 Piraclostobina>> Piraclostrobina + Epoxiconazole; T4 Trifloxistrobina>> Trifloxistrobina+ Protioconazol. Os parâmetros avaliados foram o teor relativo de clorofila (TRC) nos três terços do dossel, massa seca de parte aérea, severidade e área abaixo da curva de progresso da doença (AACPD), rendimento de grãos e massa de mil grãos. O controle de ferrugem asiática utilizando-se os diferentes programas de proteção à doença variou conforme a cultivar utilizada. Maiores diferenças de produtividade e AACPD em relação à aplicação de nitrogênio foram observadas no ambiente de várzea, em que o fornecimento em semeadura e cobertura proporcionou o maior rendimento e menor severidade da doença.

Like many Sicilians who immigrated to Louisiana in the late 1800s, my family set up a corner grocery in New Orleans. From this small store grew a business that became New Orleans' oldest family-owned grocery. Ferrara Supermarket, however, eventually feuded my father and aunt, dividing our family. Grandpa didn't understand how a business, which had supported his family for nearly a century, had separated two of his children. He seemed to favor my aunt over my father, and I lost much of my respect for him. It wouldn't be until I evacuated with my grandparents during Hurricane Katrina that I would gain my faith back in Grandpa. Анотація:
La multiplication vegetative in vitro du soja et en particulier les methodes de regeneration doivent etre parfaitement maitrisees afin de mettre en uvre ulterieurement des techniques de transformation genetique, dans le cadre de l'amelioration des cultivars americains ou canadiens introduits en france. Dans ce but, des segments de cotyledons immatures sont cultives in vitro. Sur des milieux riches en auxines, ils peuvent produire directement des embryons somatiques. L'age de l'explant, le cultivar ainsi que l'auxine presente dans le milieu de culture jouent un role preponderant au cours de l'etape d'initiation de l'embryogenese somatique. Par ailleurs, les auxines employees au cours de cette phase influencent les autres etapes du procede de regeneration: la proliferation des embryons somatiques par embryogenese secondaire n'est obtenue qu'avec du 2,4d; la conversion des embryons somatiques est plus aisee quand ces derniers ont ete inities en presence d'ana. L'application temporaire de basses temperatures (10 a 14c) permet d'ameliorer les taux de conversion. Ce resultat est nouveau dans le cadre des travaux concernant l'embryogenese somatique chez le soja. Les plantes regenerees ainsi que leurs descendances paraissent conformes dans l'ensemble. La discussion traite des aspects quantitatifs et qualitatifs des differentes etapes du procede de regeneration: initiation des embryons somatiques; proliferation par embryogenese secondaire, croissance et developpement jusqu'au stade cotyledonnaire; conversion. Ceux-ci sont envisages en relation avec la nature et la concentration des auxines employees dans les milieux d'initiation de l'embryogenese

Анотація:
Heuristic search is among the best performing approaches to classical satisficing planning, with its performance heavily relying on informative and fast heuristics, as well as search-boosting and pruning techniques. While both heuristics and pruning techniques have gained much attention recently, search-boosting techniques in general, and preferred operators in particular have received less attention in the last decade. Our work aims at bringing the light back to preferred operators research, with the introduction of preferred operators pruning technique, based on the concept of novelty. Continuing the research on novelty with respect to an underlying heuristic, we present the definition of preferred operators for such novelty heuristics. For that, we extend the previously defined concepts to operators, allowing us to reason about the novelty of the preferred operators. Our experimental evaluation shows the practical benefit of our suggested approach, compared to the currently used methods.

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of popular online dictionaries and an overview of the main tools of these resources to study a language. The use of dictionaries in learning a foreign language is an important step to understanding the language. The effectiveness of this process increases with the use of online dictionaries, which have a lot of tools for improving the educational process. Based on the Alexa Internet resource it was found the most popular online dictionaries: Cambridge Dictionary, Wordreference, Merriam–Webster, Wiktionary, TheFreeDictionary, Dictionary.com, Glosbe, Collins Dictionary, Longman Dictionary, Oxford Dictionary. As a result of the deep analysis of these online dictionaries, we found out they have the next standard functions like the word explanations, transcription, audio pronounce, semantic connections, and examples of use. In propose dictionaries, we also found out the additional tools of learning foreign languages (mostly English) that can be effective. In general, we described sixteen functions of the online platforms for learning that can be useful in learning a foreign language. We have compiled a comparison table based on the next functions: machine translation, multilingualism, a video of pronunciation, an image of a word, discussion, collaborative edit, the rank of words, hints, learning tools, thesaurus, paid services, sharing content, hyperlinks in a definition, registration, lists of words, mobile version, etc. Based on the additional tools of online dictionaries we created a diagram that shows the functionality of analyzed platforms.
