Le posizioni elaborate nel corso dei secoli in campo giuridico nel mondo islamico sulla liceità e i limiti dell’interruzione di gravidanza sono molto complesse e hanno come riferimento le fonti canoniche della Sharia (la Legge islamica) e , qualora queste non rispondano in maniera esaustiva su un determinato tema, i riferimenti principali sono i dottori della Legge islamica i quali offrono dei responsi giuridici che non sono strettamente vincolanti per i richiedenti. Storicamente le riflessioni giuridiche sull’interruzione volontaria di gravidanza ruotano attorno a te “pilastri” fondamentali: l’infusione dell’anima che, in base al Corano, viene trasmessa al 120°giorno dalla fecondazione, il fatto che il diritto classico puniva penalmente il procurato aborto, l’approvazione della tradizione giuridica dell’aborto terapeutico in quanto tutelava in primo luogo la vita della madre. In seguito, l’Autore analizza le legislazioni di alcuni stati musulmani (Tunisia, Kuwait, Egitto, Pakistan, Iran, Arabia Saudita, Bahrain, Algeria), sottolineando che la Sharia (la Legge islamica) costituisce la fonte principali delle leggi statali.

Анотація:

Giorgio Fontana punta ripetutamente lo sguardo sulle trasformazioni dello spazio esterno di Milano per raccontare nei propri testi anche i mutamenti dell’identità culturale della città. A quei mutamenti presta attenzione in maniera documentaria in Babele 56. Otto fermate nella città che cambia (2008) mentre ne fa materia letteraria nel breve romanzo Per legge superiore (2011). In entrambi i testi, e nei modi richiesti dai rispettivi generi, rileva come la massiccia presenza di migranti nell’ambiente italiano spinga a rivedere non solo le coordinate identitarie dei luoghi, ma dia uno scrollo anche a paradigmi di pensiero, convincimenti, stili di vita. Il contatto con una moltitudine di persone di etnie diverse, che vivono frequentemente sotto il segno della mobilità e della precarietà, farebbe scoprire la fragilità di quanto si ritiene spesso per irremovibile in una specifica cultura: nel romanzo del 2011 è la fede stessa nella legge a richiedere nuova riflessione.

Анотація:

The 2013 Seddon earthquake (Mw 6.5), the 2013 Lake Grassmere earthquake (Mw 6.6), and the 2016 Kaikōura earthquake (Mw 7.8) provided an opportunity to assemble the most extensive damage database to wine storage tanks ever compiled worldwide. An overview of this damage database is presented herein based on the in-field post-earthquake damage data collected for 2058 wine storage tanks (1512 legged tanks and 546 flat-based tanks) following the 2013 earthquakes and 1401 wine storage tanks (599 legged tanks and 802 flat-based tanks) following the 2016 earthquake. Critique of the earthquake damage database revealed that in 2013, 39% and 47% of the flat-based wine tanks sustained damage to their base shells and anchors respectively, while due to resilience measures implemented following the 2013 earthquakes, in the 2016 earthquake the damage to tank base shells and tank anchors of flat-based wine tanks was reduced to 32% and 23% respectively and instead damage to tank barrels (54%) and tank cones (43%) was identified as the two most frequently occurring damage modes for this type of tank. Analysis of damage data for legged wine tanks revealed that the frame-legs of legged wine tanks sustained the greatest damage percentage among different parts of legged tanks in both the 2013 earthquakes (40%) and in the 2016 earthquake (44%). Analysis of damage data and socio-economic findings highlight the need for industry-wide standards, which may have socio-economic implications for wineries.

Aims In Asia and the Middle-East, people often flex their knees deeply in order to perform activities of daily living. The purpose of this study was to investigate the 3D kinematics of normal knees during high-flexion activities. Our hypothesis was that the femorotibial rotation, varus-valgus angle, translations, and kinematic pathway of normal knees during high-flexion activities, varied according to activity. Materials and Methods We investigated the in vivo kinematics of eight normal knees in four male volunteers (mean age 41.8 years; 37 to 53) using 2D and 3D registration technique, and modelled the knees with a computer aided design program. Each subject squatted, kneeled, and sat cross-legged. We evaluated the femoral rotation and varus-valgus angle relative to the tibia and anteroposterior translation of the medial and lateral side, using the transepicodylar axis as our femoral reference relative to the perpendicular projection on to the tibial plateau. This method evaluates the femur medially from what has elsewhere been described as the extension facet centre, and differs from the method classically applied. Results During squatting and kneeling, the knees displayed femoral external rotation. When sitting cross-legged, femurs displayed internal rotation from 10° to 100°. From 100°, femoral external rotation was observed. No significant difference in varus-valgus angle was seen between squatting and kneeling, whereas a varus position was observed from 140° when sitting cross-legged. The measure kinematic pathway using our methodology found during squatting a medial pivoting pattern from 0° to 40° and bicondylar rollback from 40° to 150°. During kneeling, a medial pivot pattern was evident. When sitting cross-legged, a lateral pivot pattern was seen from 0° to 100°, and a medial pivot pattern beyond 100°. Conclusion The kinematics of normal knees during high flexion are variable according to activity. Nevertheless, our study was limited to a small number of male patients using a different technique to report the kinematics than previous publications. One-legged cycling has served as a valuable research tool and as a training and rehabilitation modality. Biomechanics of onelegged cycling are unnatural because the individual must actively lift the leg during flexion, which can be difficult to coordinate and cause premature fatigue. We compared ankle, knee, and hip biomechanics between two-legged, one-legged, and counterweighted (11.64 kg) one-legged cycling. Ten cyclists performed two-legged (240 W), one-legged (120 W), and counterweighted one-legged (120 W) cycling (80 rpm). Pedal forces and limb kinematics were recorded to determine work during extension and flexion. During counterweighted one-legged cycling relative ankle dorsiflexion, knee flexion, and hip flexion work were less than one-legged but greater than two-legged cycling (all P < .05). Relative ankle plantar flexion and hip extension work for counterweighted one-legged cycling were greater than one-legged but less than two-legged cycling (all P < .05). Relative knee extension work did not differ across conditions. Counterweighted one-legged cycling reduced but did not eliminate differences in joint flexion and extension actions between one- and two-legged cycling. Even with these differences, counterweighted one-legged cycling seemed to have advantages over one-legged cycling. These results, along with previous work highlighting physiological characteristics and training adaptations to counterweighted one-legged cycling, demonstrate that this exercise is a viable alternative to one-legged cycling.

This essay proposes a comparison among three recent topics: the civic access right, the administration transparency and the law on public communication. The main goal of the present study is to prove that, only through a full application of the law 150/2000 and the employment of professional figures like journalists and public relators in public administration, it is possible to realize what the deputy Filippo Turati, in 1908, called “the glass house” in regard to the public administration, an expression which is still in use to indicate the citizen’s need to be granted a wider access to public administration, as a fundamental opportunity of participative action in the civil society. An effective and professional communication about the activities and life in public administrations is the necessary condition to grant transparency and positive finalization of those policies directed to ensure the basic services to citizens. ... Cette étude entend sonder la potentialité spéculative d'une philosophie éminemment kojèvienne qui naisse à partir de la relation entre le Désir et la Loi. Le privilège herméneutique accordé à ce plexus pour une enquête monographique de l'œuvre de Kojève vient de l'intuition d'une unité fondamentale dans sa pensée. Il s'agit de débuter une recherche sur la relation analysée à la lumière de la nouvelle ontologie que Kojève essaie de penser. Nous savons que Kojève est passé à l'histoire en tant que « interprète » de Hegel, en tant que doctor subtilis des légendaires Séminaires sur la Phénomélogie de l'Esprit. L'introduction à la lecture de Hegel a été le Livre-Evénement qui a affecté le Paris intellectuel des années Trente du XXème siècle et ses protagonistes de prestige ; mais fut uniquement la pointe de l'iceberg de la production scientifique de notre auteur. La reconstruction de I'opera omnia de Kojève, par conséquent, a été la base à partir de laquelle est devenue possible ce travail. À partir des écrits de la jeunesse émerge la matrice scientifique et, au même temps, spéculative de la réflexion kojèvienne : je fais référence au Journal d'un philosophe (1920-1923) et à l'idée du déterminisme dans la physique classique et dans la physique moderne (1932). La question, formulée en partie déjà de Kojève, est la suivante : c'est possible associer à la révolution quantique en physique la révolution psychanalytique en considérant que la détermination relative de la réalité physique implique et suppose l'existence de l'inconscient psychique ? Les observations préliminaires sur la science ont été fonctionnelles à donner une réponse affirmative à cette question et à présenter la généalogie de la thèse principale de ce travail : le sujet kojèvien n'est pas seulement - à la Butler - un sujet de désir ; mais, plutôt, un sujet de désir et loi
This work seeks to explore the potential of the philosophy of Kojève, which has its offspring in the relation between Desire and Law. This plexus is regarded as the hermeneutic theme of the work of Kojève, based on the intuition of a fundamental unity within his thought.This study aims at starting a research about relationship, in the light of Kojève's nouvelle ontologie. Kojève is regarded as “the interpreter” of Hegel and the doctor subtilis of the legendary Seminars on the Phenomenology of Spirit. The Introduction à la lecture de Hegel was the work that revolutionised the scholars in Paris in the 1930s, but it was only the tip of the iceberg of the author's scientific production. Therefore, the reconstruction of the opera omnia of Kojève is the base of this work, which could not have been possible without it.The scientific and speculative roots of Kojève's thought are evident since the early works of the author, and particularly the Journal d'un philosophe (1920-1923) and l'idée du déterminisme dans la physique classique et dans la physique moderne (1932). The main question, partly formulated by Kojève himself, is the following: can we associate the quantic revolution in physics to the revolution of psychoanalysis, given that the relative determination of physic reality implies the existence of the psychological unconscious? The preliminary observations on science have been fundamental in order to give a positive answer to this question. They also represent the foundations of this research. L’elaborato si propone di analizzare come alcune leggi italiane di recente emanazione vengano accolte dalla lingua francese. In particolare, ho deciso di concentrarmi sulla loro trasposizione nella stampa, attraverso l’osservazione dell’utilizzo di alcune di esse nei quotidiani di maggior rilievo francesi, segnatamente Le Monde e Le Figaro. I provvedimenti che ho deciso di approfondire in questa tesi sono tre e sono divenuti legge recentemente, negli ultimi cinque anni. Si tratta del Reddito di cittadinanza della riforma pensionistica meglio nota come Quota 100, e infine della riforma dell’istruzione denominata La Buona Scuola. Ho scelto queste tre leggi in quanto si tratta di alcune tra le più recenti, e perciò il loro processo di ‘attecchimento’ nel linguaggio quotidiano del pubblico è ancora in corso. In aggiunta, si tratta di alcuni degli argomenti della politica italiana attualmente più diffusi tra il pubblico e dibattuti dai politici e dai media. Durante l’analisi delle soluzioni trovate, ho osservato se si trattasse di traduzioni letterali, o se venisse utilizzata una parafrasi per esprimere il concetto, sostituendo la traduzione diretta, e se fossero presenti chiose, escorte métalinguistique o elementi tipografici, quali le virgolette. Inoltre, ho ipotizzato le ragioni per le quali una traduzione venisse usata più di frequente, piuttosto di un’altra.

À partir de l’analyse des moyens de production et de distribution qui ont promu la diffusion des Essais de Michel de Montaigne en Espagne au cours du XVIIe siècle, cette thèse aborde le processus de réception et d’appropriation de l’auteur français dans certains secteurs de la Cour madrilène de la maison d’Autriche. Pour cela, nous nous centrons sur l’étude de la provenance des exemplaires des Essais qui sont venus jusqu’à nous, dans l’histoire des bibliothèques de l’époque qui en avaient quelques éditions imprimées et dans les œuvres de ces écrivains espagnols qui ont cité de façon expresse ou voilée certains de ses passages. L’axe de la recherche est constitué par la transcription diplomatique et par l’examen historique et linguistique de la traduction manuscrite du premier livre des Essais, menée à bien entre 1634 et 1637 par l’ex carmélite Diego de Cisneros, théologien et collaborateur du Saint-Office. Après l’inclusion de l’Index de 1632 et en pleine guerre avec la France, Diego de Cisneros, encouragé par l’inquisiteur Pedro Pacheco, ami personnel de Francisco de Quevedo, commence la tâche d’accommoder la pensée de Montaigne à l’orthodoxie catholique. Le résultat est une version fidèle qui inclue certaines erreurs et modifications ponctuelles qui n’affectent pas le sens général de l’œuvre, ainsi que de nombreuses réserves sur les phrases ou les vocables les plus compromis qui devraient être lus avec prudence et avec soin
Starting from the analysis of the production and distribution methods that promoted the dissemination of Michel de Montaigne’s Essays in Spain during the 17th Century, this thesis tackles the process of reception and appropriation of the French author by some sectors of the Habsburg Court at Madrid. In order to do this, it focuses on the study of the origins of the copies of the Essays that have reached us, on the history of the libraries of the period that possessed some printed edition and on the works of those Spanish writers that quoted, either expressly or in a veiled form, some passages thereof. The cornerstone of the research is constituted by the diplomatic transcription and the historic and linguistic scrutiny of the handwritten translation of the first book of the Essays, carried out between 1634 and 1637 by the former Carmelite friar Diego de Cisneros, theologian and collaborator of the Holy Office. After being included in the Index of forbidden books in 1632 and, whilst fully at war with France, Diego de Cisneros, encouraged by the Inquisitor Pedro Pacheco, a personal friend of Francisco de Quevedo, commenced the task of accommodating the Montaigne’s thought to Roman Catholic orthodoxy. The result is a faithful version that includes some minor errors and amendments that do not affect the general sense of the work, as well as numerous warnings on the more compromising phrases or words that had to be read with care and caution

Анотація:

RHex is an autonomous hexapedal robot capable of locomotion on rough terrain. Up to now, most modelling and simulation efforts on RHex were based on the linear leg assumption. These models disregarded what might be seen as the most characteristic feature of the latest iterations of this robot: the half circular legs. This thesis focuses on developing a more realistic model for this specially shaped compliant leg and studying its effects on the kinematics and dynamics of the resulting platform. One important consequence of the half circular compliant leg is the resulting rolling motion. Due to rolling, the rest length of the leg changes and the leg-ground contact point moves. Another consequence is the varying stiffness of the legs due to the changing rest length. These effect the resulting behaviour of any platform using these legs. In the first part of the thesis we are studying the effects of the half circular leg morphology on the kinematics of RHex using a simple planar model. The rest of the studies within the scope of this thesis focuses on the effect of the half circular compliant legs on the dynamics of a single legged hopping platform with a point mass. The formulation derived in this work is successfully integrated in a readily working but rather simple model of a single legged hopping system. We replace the equations of the straight leg in this model by the equations of the half circular compliant leg. Realistic results are obtained in the simulations and these results are compared to those obtained by the simpler constant stiffness straight leg model. This more realistic leg model brings us the opportunity to further study the effects of this leg morphology, in particular the positive effects of the resulting rolling motion on platform stability.

Анотація:

A dynamically dexterous legged robot platform generates specific acoustic signals during the interaction with the ground and the environment. These acoustic signals are expected to contain rich information that is related to the interaction surface as a function of the position of the legs and the overall contact process mixed with the actuator sounds that initiate the movement. As the robot platform walks or runs in any environment, this convolved acoustic signal created can be processed and analyzed in real time operation and the interaction surface can be identified. Such an utilization of acoustic data can be possible for various indoor and outdoor surfaces and with this can be useful in adjusting gait parameters that play an essential role in dynamic dexterity. In this work, surface type identification is achieved with using the several popular signal processing and pattern classification methods not on the robot platform but off-line. The performances of the selected features and the algorithms are evaluated for the collected data sets and these outputs are compared with the expectations. Depending on the off-line training and experiment results, the applicability of the study to an embedded robot platform as a future application is found quite feasible and the surface type as an input to the robot sensing is expected to improve the mobility of the robot in both indoor and outdoor environment.

La tesi analizza la nuova disciplina europea sul credito ai consumatori, introdotta dalla direttiva 2008/48/Ce, recepita nel nostro ordinamento con il d.lgs. n. 141/2010, che ha modificato il Testo unico bancario (d.lgs n. 385/1993). In particolare, si sofferma sull'obbligo di verifica del merito creditizio, previsto dall'art. 124 bis Tub, e sulla responsabilità del finanziatore che concede credito senza osservare il disposto della norma suddetta. Dopo aver ascritto alla responsabilità "da contatto sociale" la condotta del prestatore che concede credito in maniera poco accorta (non senza precisare che in ultima istanza la concessione disinvolta di credito avrà riflessi sulle condizioni contrattuali), l'indagine viene condotta da un differente punto di osservazione, che tiene conto della dimensione concorsuale dell'indebitamento del consumatore; tale prospettiva è suggerita dalla nuova disciplina sulla composizione delle crisi da sovraindebitamento introdotta dal d.l. n. 179/2012 (convertito nella legge n. 221/2012), che ha modificato la legge n. 3/2012. Il comportamento del finanziatore viene messo in relazione alla condotta tenuta dal consumatore al momento dell'assunzione del debito, analizzando altresì le conseguenze che la condotta del finanziatore può avere nei confronti dei terzi creditori del consumatore.

Denne artikkelen byggjer på ein studie av normkompetansen til eit utval avgangselevar i den vidaregåande skulen med nynorsk som hovudmål, og synleggjer kva for typar normavvik dei har, og drøftar i kva grad rettskrivinga deira er påverka av innslag frå høvesvis dialekt og bokmål. Artikkelen byggjer på ein studie av 183 tekstar skrivne av avgangselevar skuleåret 2018/2019, fordelt på tre vidaregåande skular og seks klassar i regionane Nordfjord og Sunnfjord i det tidlegare fylket Sogn og Fjordane. Studien syner at elevtekstane hadde eit gjennomsnitt på 1,7 avvik per 100 ord, og at dei mest frekvente avvika er knytte til verbbøying (25 %), konsonantisme (24 %), vokalisme (21 %) og substantivbøying (15 %). 33 % av avvika synest å botne i påverknad frå bokmål, medan 30 % synest å botne i påverknad frå dialekt, og 12 % av avvika har samanfall både med bokmål og dialekt. Vi meiner at desse funna er interessante med omsyn til kva skulen og norsklærarane bør legge vekt på for å auke normkompetansen mellom elevar med nynorsk som hovudmål.

People with central field loss (CFL) exhibit a substantial deficit in reading performance. Legge et al.1 have shown that the median reading rate of people with CFL was 25 words per minute when the character size was optimal. The median reading rate of low-vision observers with intact central fields was 130 words per minute. The cause of the decreased reading rate in people with CFL is not known. One hypothesis is that pattern analysis performance is limited in peripheral vision2 and therefore is not capable of mediating rapid reading. Even when the character size is scaled according to the cortical magnification factor, reading rates may not reach the same magnitude as found with foveal viewing.

Abstract This paper presents the design of a highly manoeuvrable and untethered under-actuated legged piezoelectric miniature robot called PISCES. It comprises of a piezoelectric patch bonded onto a thin diamond-shaped aluminium plate to form a planar unimorph piezoelectric actuator, with three rigidly attached legs to generate locomotion. Unlike other under-actuated robots found in literature which uses compliant mechanisms, our robot utilizes three different standing wave vibration modes of a thin diamond-shaped aluminium plate and well positioned rigid leg positions to achieve forward, clockwise rotation and anticlockwise rotation motion using a single piezoelectric patch. This approach have the benefit of generating a more predefined motion and thus more controllable. A finite element analysis approach is proposed to understand the modal vibration of the 2D unimorph actuator and how the geometric placement of the rigid legs together with the robot center of mass can be utilized to achieve under-actuated planar locomotion is described in detail. To verify the proposed locomotion, PISCES of a size of 90 × 60 × 11 mm, weight of 21 g is built. It is able to achieve a linear speed of 203.5 mm/s for forward motion, an angular speeds of 7.7 Revolution Per Minute (RPM) for clockwise rotation and an angular speed of 10.6 RPM for anticlockwise rotation using an input sinusoidal voltage of 100 V amplitude. Under a payload of 100 g, it moves with a linear speed of 110.8 mm/s and angular speeds of 4.1 RPM clockwise and 12.5 RPM anticlockwise. A tether-less remotely driven PISCES featuring a full suite of onboard electronics, and a more detailed experimental verification, analysis and characterization of PISCES are also demonstrated in this paper.

Анотація:

The army has a vision for using autonomous micro ground vehicles (MGV) for soldier support in the last 100 meters of operations in urban and natural environments. These MGVs are expected to typically fit in a human palm and weigh in the order of 30–50 grams. Robust mobility is a necessary condition to ensure operations. Given the severe challenge of size, weight and power (SWAP) of the MGVs, significant uncertainties currently remain in quantifying micro ground vehicle mobility. In this paper we describe a research methodology and representative results for understanding legged MGV mobility in different types of terrain. Our methodology is based on a synergy of novel experimental setup and high-fidelity computational methods. We report the use of a novel “single-leg” test rig that uses tactile sensors to measure ground interaction loads. We also report the use of high speed imaging and use of particle image velocimetry to understand soil deformation during legged interactions with terrain. Finally, we report on the use of multibody dynamics and High Performance Computing (HPC) based granular media simulations. This conference paper emphases more on the overall approach based on synergistic use of high fidelity modeling and experimental methods supported by representative results rather than presenting a detailed analyses of the results.

Анотація:

Thin-film lead-zirconate-titanate (PZT) actuators are a potential enabling technology for autonomous micro-robots with locomotion abilities rivaling biological systems. Actuators capable of supplying the large forces and extended displacements needed to drive terrestrial micro-robotic locomotion have been designed and tested. These actuators use a combination of upward and downward unimorph bending to generate in-plane robotic joint motion. 500 μm by 100 μm actuators have demonstrated forces greater than 5 mN over almost 1 μm stroke length at just 20 V. These actuators can be leveraged to drive angular displacement of high-aspect ratio silicon flexures. Actuators are currently being integrated into flexural arrays to produce joint angles comparable to insects. Stacks of these silicon joint structures may be used to reinforce load-bearing capacity of the completed micro-robotic legs. Dynamic simulations of hexapedal and many-legged robots less than one centimeter in length utilizing these actuator-joint structures indicate potential payloads ranging from 50 to 200 mg, depending on the joint design, and walking speeds up to approximately 4 cm/s.
