This study considers whether or not Italian Muslims are deemed a threat by Italian society. It attempts to verify the major lines of conflict in the relationship between Islam and Italian society, which is by tradition culturally connected to Catholicism. The study investigates different patterns of relationship between Catholic Italians and Muslim Italians in different Italian regions based on the national survey “La nuova religiosità in Italia” [New religiosity in Italy] (2007). By means of research data the authors detect regions with a high potential for conflict and regions where there is greater acceptance of Islam as well as better bases for societal cohesion and cooperation.

Il presente articolo illustra la storia dell’insegnamento della lingua italiana nella Repubblica Popolare Cinese, con particolare riferimento alle testimonianze raccolte dal 1962 al 2022 nel Dipartimento di italiano della Beijing Foreign Studies University, una delle prime università cinesi ad insegnare la lingua e la letteratura italiana. Utilizzando le fonti archivistiche dell’Ateneo e le fonti orali dei testimoni, l’autrice ricostruisce la storia del sopracitato Dipartimento in tre fasi, in stretto contatto con l’ambiente cinese e con il contesto del rapporto tra Italia e Cina, sottolineando in ogni fase gli aspetti connessi alle condizioni di ammissione degli studenti, della qualificazione dei docenti, dei lavori lessicografici, dei materiali didattici e delle metodologie glottodidattiche. Teaching Italian language in the people’s republic of China: a case study at the department of Italian at Beijing foreign studies university between 1962 and 2022 This paper illustrates the history of Italian language teaching in the People’s Republic of China, with particular reference to evidence gathered from 1962 to 2022 at the Department of Italian at Beijing Foreign Studies University, one of the first Chinese universities to teach Italian language and literature. Using the archival sources of the University and the oral sources of witnesses, the author reconstructs the history of the aforementioned Department in three phases, in close contact with the Chinese environment and within the context of the relationship between Italy and China, emphasizing in each phase the aspects related to the conditions for the admission of students, the qualification of teachers, lexicographic works, teaching materials and language teaching methodologies.

The paper proposes understanding the reading interest in Italian of the thinker Adam Smith (1723-1790), author of the Theory of Moral Sentiments and of the Wealth of Nations from the perspective of the partial review of his library’s catalogue, with approximately 1,000 titles published in English, French, Italian, Greek and Latin. The list of books published in Italian, which Adam Smith purchased for his library and we assume he also read, since he quoted some, represent the Appendix of the present work. From his Italian library, 60 volumes were identified, published between 1547 (B. Castiglione, Il Cortegiano) and 1784 (32 volumes from Parnaso Italiano ovvero Raccolto de’ Poeti Classici Italiani). Just a few years before his death, the great admiror of Italian literature, assiduous reader of Italian poetry, drama, memoirs, correspondence, biographies, jurisprudence, economics, art and history (especially that of Venice and Florence) was still purchasing and reading books from the Italian states, a fact which sketches a personality with a profound cultural and humanities features.

Summary Until the late 18th century, authors of vernacular grammars often adopted the categories of Latin grammar to describe these languages. However, by adapting the Latin system to English, German or Italian, grammarians could succeed only in part, because these languages work in different ways. In the present paper, the author discusses the solutions that Karl Philipp Moritz (1756–1793) proposes in his Englische and Italiänische Sprachlehre für die Deutschen, textbooks for German learners. The author analyses to what extent Moritz’s grammar descriptions were influenced by the Latin model as well as by the traditions of English and Italian grammar writing that he encountered in his sources. It will be demonstrated that he translated extensively from the works of other authors: For his English textbook (Moritz 1784), he mainly used James Greenwood’s (1683?–1737) The Royal English Grammar (1737), and for Italian (Moritz 1791), he profited especially from Benedetto Rogacci’s (1646–1719) Pratica, e compendiosa istruzione circa l’uso emendato, ed elegante della Lingua Italiana (1711).

Riassunto: Il dibattito della Querelle des Femmes in Italia si sviluppa soprattutto durante il XV e XVI secolo attraverso vari trattati di autori ed autrici. In realtà l’inizio della Querelle des Femmes si potrebbe far concidere con le poetesse italiane del Duecento e del Trecento. L’articolo analizza come alcuni dei temi presenti nei testi di queste autrici si possono far risalire ad una tradizione di poesia femminile che comprende le poetesse dell’al-Andalus e le trobairitz. RESUMO: A internacionalização tem cada vez mais papel de destaque na educação já que ela se coloca como um processo imprescindível e um desafio para as universidades. Contudo para que as universidades realizem com êxito esta ação, estas precisam se capacitar para isso. Surge, a partir dessa necessidade, o desenvolvimento de projetos e convênios que visem o ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras que estejam contempladas nos editais de internacionalização, vide Capes PrInt, e parcerias com segmentos internacionais, vide Memorando de Acordo entre a Embaixada Italiana e as Universidades Brasileiras participantes da Rede Andifes Idiomas sem Fronteiras. Somado a isto, a crescente procura por editais e bolsas de pesquisas em universidades italianas fez nascer na Rede Andifes-IsF das Universidades Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) e Federal de Viçosa (UFV) o desejo de ampliar a atuação e impacto no meio acadêmico e, ao considerar o atual contexto e possibilidades do ensino remoto, foi elaborado o curso Preparazione agli esami di competenza linguistica. Neste artigo, além de relatar a experiência desde a criação do curso e a sua aplicabilidade, vamos partilhar as experiências na elaboração das atividades para realizar a valutazione a distanza, o caminho percorrido e os desafios encontrados, que oportunizaram aos autores um grande aprendizado, reforçando o quanto este tipo de curso e o engajamento dos professores pode contribuir para a expansão dos objetivos da Rede Andifes IsF e para o processo de internacionalização entre as universidades brasileiras e italianas.Palavras-chave: Ensino/Aprendizagem da língua italiana. ABSTRACT: Internationalization is assuming an increasingly important role in education, since it is posed as an essential process and a challenge for universities. However, for universities to successfully perform this action, they need to be trained for this. From this requirement arises the development of projects and agreements that aim at the teaching-learning of foreign languages contemplated in the internationalization edicts, see Capes PrInt, and partnerships with international segments, see Memorandum of Understanding between the Italian Embassy and Brazilian universities participating of the Rede Andifes Idiomas Sem Fronteiras. In addition, the growing demand for calls and research grants in Italian universities has given rise in the Rede Andifes IsF of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) to the desire to expand the action and impact on the academic environment, and considering the current context and the possibilities of distance learning, the course Preparazione agli esami di competenza linguistica was developed. In this article, in addition to reporting the experience from the structuring of the course and its applicability, we will share the experiences in the development of the activities to implement the valutazione a distanza, the path taken and the challenges encountered, which provided the authors with a great learning experience, reinforcing how much this type of course and the commitment of the teachers can contribute to the expansion of the Rede Andifes IsF and the internationalization process between Brazilian and Italian universities.Keywords: Italian language teaching/learning. This article questions the definition of a fascist organization settled abroad: the Casa d'Italia - House of Italy -, analyzing its institutional and constitutional development. The author reviews the political affair which brought to the creation in the '20s of the fasci all'estero - Fascist abroad - and to the elaboration of the "Case d'Italia" in the '30s. She focuses on the creation of the "Direzione degli italiani all'estero" - Directions of Italians abroad - at Foreign ministry, that institutionalized and gave definition and centralization to the "Case d'Italia". In France (country of the analysis), more than fifty "Case d'Italia" were built from 1928 to 1938. But most of them were not achieved in terms of organisation, services and structures. The most complete ones are located along the Italian border and in the areas of Italian high emigration. The Casa d'Italia was not only a place where Italian expatriates could looking for assistance, but it also became the symbol of Fascist Italy abroad and reached a new dimension that transformed it into a "temple" of fascist ideology through decorations, architectures, symbols and festivities.

<p>São Francisco é considerado um dos primeiros autores da literatura italiana. A poesia religiosa, inaugurada por ele na Úmbria, mais tarde atravessará o território italiano com outros adeptos como Jacopone da Todi. A experiência franciscana é emblemática pelos valores propostos e pela idéia de recusa ali contida. Aspectos que a tornam atual no século XX, sendo recuperada e “transformada” por intelectuais como Pier Paolo Pasolini e José Saramago.</p> <p>San Francisco is considered one of the first authors in Italian Literature. The religious poetry, inaugurated by him in Umbria, later cross the italian territory with others adepts as Jacopone da Todi. The Franciscan experience is emblematic because of the proposed values and because of the idea of refusal contained in it. Aspects that made the all experience actual in the XX century, being recupered and “transformed” by intellectuals as Pier Paolo Pasolini and José Saramago.</p>

Being Italian is not as simple or as straightforward as one might assume. For an Italian from the territories that Italy ceded to Yugoslavia in the wake of the Second World War, identifying as Italian, or to be seen as an Italian, was problematic, if not even dangerous. During and after the Second World War, most Italians from these territories abandoned their hometowns and became refugees in Italy. Some then emigrated overseas, where, for the most part, they continued to self-identify as Italians. This article looks at the Italian-Canadian author, radio personality, and activist Gianni Angelo Grohovaz, originally from Fiume (Italy), to determine what being Italian meant for him and how it conditioned his life and work.

ABSTRACT: Questo articolo analizza il cibo come parte dei simboli e delle immagini presenti nel romanzo Conversazione in Sicilia, di Elio Vittorini. L’autore italiano utilizza il parlare di cibo, così come fa con altri temi del libro, per “dire senza dichiarare”, allorquando, metaforicamente, trasforma l’atto di mangiare, o di non poter mangiare, in critica sociale e politica, in un momento storico particolare per l’Italia, allora governata dal regime fascista. Il cibo, simbolo di abbondanza, quando non c’è diventa ancora più presente nel pensiero degli italiani poveri, come una smania, un’ossessione. Il cibo rappresenta anche un viaggio verso un tempo perduto, il tempo mitico dell’infanzia, quando i sapori, la consistenza e l’odore dei cibi fanno sì che il personaggio recuperi la memoria del passato e riacquisti in questo modo la capacità di sentire ciò che aveva perso durante un periodo di profonda apatia. Queste simbologie, da un lato politiche e sociali, dall’altro più psicologiche e soggettive, “si sovrappongono e si ripetono acquistando nuove sfumature”, come scrive Samy Ramez nell’articolo Simbolo e immagine in Conversazione in Sicilia di Elio Vittorini.Parole chiave: Letteratura italiana. RESUMO: Este artigo analisa a comida como parte dos símbolos e imagens que estruturam o romance Conversazione in Sicilia, de Elio Vittorini. Ao falar sobre comida, entre outros temas presentes no livro, o autor pode “dizer sem declarar”, criando metáforas que transformam o ato de comer (ou de não poder comer) em crítica social e política ao momento histórico que se vivia na Itália governada pelo regime fascista. O alimento, símbolo de abundância, quando ausente, torna-se ainda mais presente no pensamento dos italianos pobres, quase como uma obsessão. A comida também oferece uma viagem a um tempo perdido, o tempo mítico da infância, quando os sabores, a textura e os cheiros dos alimentos fazem o personagem recuperar a memória do passado e, assim, reconquistar a capacidade de sentir que havia perdido durante um período de profunda apatia. Essas simbologias, por um lado, políticas e sociais e, por outro, psicológicas e mais subjetivas, o tempo todo superpõem-se e se repetem “adquirindo novas nuances”, como escreve Samy Ramez no artigo Simbolo e immagine in Conversazione in Sicilia di Elio Vittorini.Palavras-chave: Literatura italiana. ABSTRACT: This work analyses the presence of food among the symbols and images of Elio Vittorini’s novel Conversazione in Sicilia. The Italian author uses the act of talking about food, as he does with other subjects in the book, to “say without asserting”. He metaphorically transforms the act of eating (or not being able to eat) in a political and social critic to that historical moment in Italy when the country was governed by the fascists. When it lacks, food becomes even more alive in the mind of Italian poor people, like an obsession. Food also offers a trip to a lost time, the mythical time of childhood, as the flavors, the textures and the smell of food allow the character to recover the memory of his past and, doing so, regain the ability to feel. These symbols, on the one hand political and social, and on the other psychological and subjective, “overlap and repeat [throughout the book] gaining new nuances”, as writes Samy Ramez in the article Simbolo e immagine in Conversazione in Sicilia di Elio Vittorini.Keywords: Italian literature. REDOSCHI, M.E. O autor \"florentino\" da literatura suíça em língua italiana: Francesco Chiesa. 2008. 90 pag. Dissertação (mestrado) - Faculdade de Filosofia Letras e Ciências Humanas, Universidade de São Paulo, São Paulo, 2008. A Suíça é um país situado no centro da Europa ocidental e conta com quatro idiomas oficiais: o alemão, o francês, o italiano e o romanche. A Confederação Helvética possui vinte e seis unidades administrativas, denominadas Cantões, formados ao longo da história, que contam com um alto grau de autonomia. O idioma de Dante está presente como língua materna de boa parte da população do Cantão de Ticino e de quatro vales alpinos no vizinho Cantão Grisões, onde divide espaço com o alemão e o romanche. É apresentado o contexto formativo do italiano falado na região, que se padronizou em torno da norma toscana a partir do Séc XVI, graças à qualidade das escolas mantidas por religiosos como São Carlos Borromeo. Eram utilizadas as gramáticas e métodos mais modernos disponíveis na época. Nesta encruzilhada de civilizações, de área habitada equivalente à cidade de São Paulo e ABCD, surgiu Francesco Chiesa. Foi o primeiro escritor suíço a efetivamente a desbravar o árduo mercado editorial italiano, colocando assim o nome de sua região definitivamente nos manuais de língua e literatura. À sua numerosa produção em poesia e prosa, soma-se a longeva biografia (1871-1973). Destacam-se suas atividades como professor de língua, historia da arte, jornalista e defensor do patrimônio artístico e cultural de origem lombarda de sua terra. Em 1925 seria publicado Tempo di marzo, que se tornaria sua obra mais conhecida no exterior. Um retrato da sociedade agrária do Ticino do início do novecentos, o romance é uma transposição lírica da realidade histórica da região. À medida que o garoto Nino transcorre o final de sua infância, passamos a conhecer melhor a geografia, usos e costumes do Ticino de antigamente. Por sua escrita límpida, fluída, quase \"manzoniana\" o romance foi discutido e ensinado nas escolas do norte da Itália, como exemplo de redação em italiano padrão. Completado em 1943, Io e i miei, é uma obra \'moderna\', dentro da estética Chiesiana. Lançado em pleno período da guerra, fatores logísticos impediram que o livro tivesse a merecida repercussão. Uma espécie de híbrido de conto e romance, lá são narrados os conflitos internos de uma família de viúvos recasados, da filha Serafina e do filho Manlio. São evidenciados sobretudo os dramas do pai. Um pessimismo e uma resignação lânguida, em contraste à jovialidade e alegria de Tempo di marzo, permeiam a narrativa. O registro melancólico dos vilarejos em decadência é comparado à extratos de Il fondo del sacco, escrito pelo romancista grisonês de temática realista Plinio Martini, cerca de trinta anos mais tarde. Francesco Chiesa foi o primeiro e o mais \"florentino\" dos escritores suíços de expressão italiana.
ABSTRACT REDOSCHI, M.E. The \"florentine\" author of Switzerland\'s literature in italian: Francesco Chiesa. 2008. 90 pag. Master\'s Thesis - Faculty of Filosofy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH), Universidade de São Paulo, São Paulo, 2008. Switzerland is a country located at the center of western Europe with four official languages: German, French, Italian and Romansch. The Helvetian Confederation has twenty-six highly autonomous administrative units, called Cantons, formed throughout history. Dante\'s language is present as the mother tongue of the bulk of Canton Ticino\'s population as well in four alpine valleys on the nearby Canton Grisons. There it shares space with Swiss-German and Romansch. The background for the formation of the Italian spoken in the region, which had standardized around tuscan rules from the sixteenth century - thanks to the quality of schools maintained by clerics such as Saint Charles Borromeo - is presented. The most modern grammars and teaching methods available at the time were used. At this crossroads of civilizations, with an inhabited area equivalent to the city of São Paulo and a few nearby suburbs, appeared Francesco Chiesa. He was the first Swiss author to effectively brave the italian book market, thus inscribing his region\'s name forever on the Italian language and literature textbooks. Added to his prolific production in prose and verse, is his longevous biography (1871-1973). Worthy of note are his activities as professor of italian, art history, journalist and supporter of his land\'s lombardic cultural and artistic heritage. In 1925 would be published Tempo di marzo, which would become his best known work abroad. A portrait of agrarian Ticino society at the early nineteen-hundreds, the romance is a lyric transposition of the region\'s historical realities. As the boy Nino moves toward the end of his childhood, we get to experience the geography, customs and traditions of yesteryear Ticino. By virtue of his clear, fluid, almost \"manzonian\" writing, the novel was discussed and taught at Northern Italy schools. It was used as a model in italian composition classes. Finished in 1943, Io e i miei, is a \'modern\' work, within Chiesa\'s style. Released right in the middle of wartime, logistical factors prevented the book from having a much deserved accolade. A sort of hybrid between a short story and a novel, it narrates the internal conflicts of a family of remarried widowers, the daughter Serafina and the son Manlio. In evidence are the father\'s issues. A pessimistic tone, of quiet languishing and resignation, in contrast to the youthfulness and joy of Tempo di marzo strides the narrative. The melancholic account of deserted, decadent villages is compared to extracts of Il fondo del sacco, written third years later by the Grison native Plinio Martini, which had embraced realism themes. Francesco Chiesa was the first and most \"Florentine\" of Italian speaking Swiss authors.

This thesis constitutes the first detailed study of the life and works (published and unpublished) of the writer Giovanna Zangrandi (1910-1988). It is a study of the relationship between autobiography, fiction and history in her writing, in the light of recent developments in the criticism of autobiography and of feminist historiography and literary criticism. It aims to place Zangrandi's work in its historical and literary context and pays particular attention to the periods of fascism, the Resistance and neorealism. The thesis considers the nature of autobiography, and the implications of women writing about themselves, and analyses Zangrandi's use of autobiography, highlighting the inevitable intrusion of fiction into such writing. It uses that analysis, along with material including Zangrandi's unpublished diaries and testimonies of people who knew her, to write a biography of Zangrandi and to examine the way that she writes about the fascist period and the Resistance. The question of representing real life in fiction, rather than autobiography, is also discussed, with reference to Zangrandi's first novel and to neorealism. It is shown that, as well as her constant interest in the lives of women, her attitude to history and traditions of the Cadore, the mountainous region in the north of the Veneto, where she lived all her adult life and where nearly all her novels, short stories and autobiography are set, is of considerable importance. Her writing about the Cadore can be seen both as an attempt to write herself into those traditions, and as a means of expressing her commitment to improving society. Moreover, it is argued, her commitment takes the form of both autobiography and fiction as her concern to write about lived experience is balanced by a constant interest in the story-telling tradition of the Cadore and an interpretation of fiction that judges it to be an integral part of everyday life.

This dissertation provides a critical assessment of Laura Terracina (1519-c.1577) and her works. It argues that she was a consummate product of her age, embodying the tensions which ruled the Italian peninsula. Terracina published eight books and left a ninth in manuscript at the time of her death, winning legions of admirers and making her sixteenth-century Italy's most commercially successful female author. Yet in spite of her enormous popularity amongst her contemporaries, scholarship has largely neglected Terracina. This dissertation will open up an overdue field of enquiry into her life and works, exploring the significance of her role as a sixteenth-century female poet through the lenses of gender and class. By mapping her place in the literary landscape, it is hoped that this thesis will encourage scholars to afford Terracina the attention she so richly deserves. The first chapter of the dissertation situates Terracina as a poet of Naples, seeing her as a product of her family's political standing within the city, her academician status, and her own construction of an urban coterie of supporters. The second chapter considers the mechanics of the journey into print, assessing Terracina's own input and her close collaboration with male editors and publishers. It proposes a greater attribution of agency to Terracina than has thus far been made, arguing that she is, in fact, an important figure in the process of her texts reaching the hands of readers. The third chapter considers how the poet used her printed books as social tools, employing them to gain social and literary capital. The second section of the dissertation looks at two thematic strands within Terracina's poetry. Chapter four considers her political poetry, including her attitude towards the harm done to civilian populations across Europe. Chapter five looks at the religious dimension to Terracina's work, the spiritual poetry written in her later years, and the relationship this bears to her secular lyric. Finally, the dissertation concludes with a chapter on the contemporary reception of Terracina's texts, providing preliminary thoughts on how she was read, before closing with a consideration of her literary afterlife in the centuries that followed.

As women's literature emerged in late nineteenth-century Italy, female authors encountered many obstacles. Foremost among them was the near-total absence of Italian female literary role models. Female writers often expressed ambivalence towards the writing of other women, which was considered inferior to male writing. However, their reverence for male writers revealed how conflictive their identities as writers were, and it was an impediment to the establishment of a serious women's literary tradition. In addition to such personal conflicts, these writers also faced the challenge of gaining acceptance by the male-dominated literary community and by their readers. These two groups expected that women's writing conform to a moral code which did not apply to men's writing. This thesis is an analysis of the specific problems that female novelist Bruno Sperani and others faced as they strove to establish themselves in Italian literature.

The thesis is divided into three parts. Part One treats Beni's life and works from his birth in 1553 to 1604. His birth, his ancestry, his early education, his early careers, his Jesuit career and its aftermath are described from documentary evidence. His works of this period, most of which are inextricably connected with his life, are also briefly treated, Part Two narrates the events of the remainder of his life: his writing, his teaching, his publishing, his polemical writing, his relationship with his family, his last illness and death. Part Three provides a more ample critical assessment of his major writings after 1604, grouped according to subject-matter. Chapters are devoted to his criticism of Tasso, to his linguistic writings, to his theory and practice of poetry, history and rhetoric. The conclusion summarizes the pattern of his life and reassesses his importance. The Bibliography is divided into two parts. The first contains Beni's writings in three sections: (a) published works, with a note on the Opera omnia; (b) MS works; (c) a chronological reference list of his (mostly unpublished) letters. Part Two contains all other works consulted, MS and printed.

The data come from 4 sources of information: the general book market on foreign literature, the scholarly book market on Italian literature, the programs of Literature in Bachelor and Master curricula of Italian Studies, and the yearly programs of the competitive exam for teachers in Italian (Agrégation). As a result, the champion of second 19th century Italian literature’s reception in French culture is Giovanni Verga, the traditional canon is mostly undiscussed but lately, both large audience publishing and academic studies show interest for relatively forgotten authors such as Grazia Deledda and movements such as Scapigliatura.

The aim of this article is to provide a review, albeit not exhaustive, of Italian studies on Dante in the Slavic world. Starting from 1921, and the important essays published in the journal “L’Europa orientale”, the author shows how interest in the reception of Dante in the Slavic world has never decreased among Italian Slavists, as well as specialists on Italian literature in the Slavic countries. This volume is one of many illustrating this rich history. In the second part of the essay, the author discusses the different contributions gathered in this volume, highlighting the connections among different areas of the Slavic world within the field of the reception of Dante’s oeuvre.

The author reconstructs the concept of work in the Constitutional system as concretely implemented to date, starting from the fundamental principles and rules on socio-economic relations as read by jurisprudence, especially constitutional, and scholars. The author argues that Italian Constitution distinguishes between “organized or organizable work” and “organizing work”: the first is accompanied above all by rights, the second by limits and duties. Basically, in the Italian Constitution work, whose freedom is guaranteed, is designed as an individual and collective necessity: and this creates tensions with the work ethic emerging in the age of the infosphere.

Esta comunicação tem por objetivo discorrer sobre alguns aspectos que ligam o tratado Dialogo della Pittura intitolato L´Aretino (1557), do humanista veneziano Lodovico Dolce à obra do historiador florentino, Giorgio Vasari, Le Vite de´più eccellenti architetti, pittori et scultori italiani, da Cimabue, insino a´tempi nostri, publicada em 1550. Dolce tinha como propósito primeiro sustentar a relevância da produção artística vêneta, alçando-a ao mesmo patamar da arte Tosco-romana, a qual fora exaltada de modo proeminente por Vasari em sua obra, em detrimento da arte de outras regiões italianas. Ao mesmo tempo, Dolce buscava refutar a divindade criada pelo autor das Vite em torno da figura de Michelangelo, salientando a maestria de Rafael e a primazia de Ticiano no cenário artístico italiano. Para tanto, travou um diálogo com Vasari, adotando várias premissas teóricas desenvolvidas pelo florentino no sentido de reafirmar os argumentos de seu próprio escrito.

sufficient amount of foreign research literature has been devoted to the study of such a political phenomenon as euroscepticism; recently, interest in it among the Russian scientific community has intensified due to the strengthening of its positions in the EU countries. Italy after the elections of March 4, 2018 turned into a “show-window” of the success of euroscepticism and populism. The purpose of this article is to determine the sustainability of the new government. The author identifies the causes of the weakening of the position of the Democratic Party in Italy, the coming to power of radical parties, whose leadership until recently was not taken seriously among the EU political establishment. The paper also analyzes the main concepts of the program called “Contract for the government of change” and the prospects for its implementation. To solve these tasks, a historical and chronological method was used, which allowed to track the stages of weakening popular support for traditional parties and the growing popularity of euro skeptics. The research was also used the theoretical research method as an analysis to determine the future prospects of the government in domestic and foreign policy. The author comes to the conclusion that in the coming years Italy will become the leader of all eurosceptic forces with the prospect of creating and heading a similar faction in the European Parliament in May 2019. The conclusion is also formed that the Government’s attitude to cancel anti-Russian sanctions should not be considered too optimistic. Analyzing the declining rhetoric of the Italian leadership on this issue, the author assumes that the Russian issue is just a bargaining chip in knocking out EU preferences on fiscal and migration issues

The paper focuses on the interlacement of literary and iconographic elements by displaying an innovatory philological and stylistic approach, from a comparative perspective, in thematizing multilingual translational and adaptive aspects, ranging across Bernard Berenson's diaristic and epistolary corpus, in conjunction with his works on Italian visual culture. This interweaving gives occasion to the elaboration of multilinguistic textual influences and their verbo-visual artistic representations deduced from his innovative interpretative readings in the domain of world literature in modern times. Such analysis of the discourse of theoretical and literary nature, and of the pictoricity, refers to Bernard Berenson's multilingual considerations about canonical authors in English, Italian, French, German language, belonging to the Neoclassical and Romantic period, as well as to the contemporary era, as conceptualized in his autobiographical works, in correlation with his writings on Italian figurative art. The scope of this presentation is to discern and articulate Berenson's aesthetic ideas evoking literary and artistic modernity, that are infused with crucial notions of translational theory and conveyed through the methodology of close reading and comprising at the same time, in an omnicomprehensive manner, a plurality of tendencies intrinsic to social paradigms of cultural studies. Unexplored premises reflecting Berenson's vision of Italian culture, most notably of a visual stamp, will be analyzed through author's understandings of such adaptive translations or volumes to be subsequently translated in Italian, and through their intertwined intertextual applications, significantly contributing to further critical and hermeneutic reception thereof. Particular attention is drawn to its instancing in the field of Romantic literary production (Emerson, Byron), originally underscoring the specificities of each literary genre and expressive mode, of the narrative, lyric or theatrical nature, as well as concomitantly involving parallel notions as adapted variants within visual arts, and in such a way expressing theoretical views pertainable to Italian artworks too. Other analogous elements relevant to literary expression in the most varied cultural sectors such as philosophy, music, civilisational history (Goethe, Hegel, Kant, Wagner, Chateaubriand, Rousseau, Mme de Staël, Taine) are furnished, as well as the examples of the resonances of non-western cultures, with the objective of exploring the effect among readership bringing also to the renewal of Italian tradition.

Abstract. Additive manufacturing is presenting new challenges in various aspects of part production. Among these, the potential benefits derived from material complexity have been growing in recent years, especially when using polymeric materials. In fact, mixing polymers with long/short fibres lead to moderate to significant improvements in the mechanical properties of the parts. The degree of improvement strongly depends on the part geometry and can become critical in the case of a workpiece with a repeating pattern, such as metamaterials. In this preliminary research, the authors investigate the mechanical performance of a single- hourglass cell which is a common auxetic geometry used to achieve a negative Poisson ratio in metamaterials. Nylon was used as the matrix, and glass as the fibre. FFF additive process was used to produce samples with different cell designs (in width, size, inclination) and the nature of the fibres (long and short). The results were analysed using statistical methods.

Анотація:
"We present two versions of assessment/intervention tools for metaphors awareness or their comprehension: the TCM, Metaphor Comprehension Test, for children aged 9 to 14, or elementary school (Portugal), and the junior TCM, for children aged 4 to 6 years, or preschool age. They are versions/adaptations for European Portuguese of existing tools in Italian. The authors of the Italian versions are professors at the University of Sapienza, Rome, Italy, with internationally recognized work, presenting the original versions with good psychometric qualities. At the moment, the two instruments are already adapted for Portuguese, in the process of being applied in order to obtain the normative data and their validation. We expect, similar to what happens with the Italian versions, to obtain valid tools, with triple instrumentality: psychometric assessment and dynamic assessment and intervention resource, for various stages of development."

Анотація:
The paper first describes the main features of the project for vocational and educational guidance the author recently planned. The main aim of the project was to help students develop self guidance skills and overcome the difficulties they meet at school. The information system used in the project was based on the use of action research and social statistic strategies and calculations for the analysis of individual and population features. The paper then analyzes two recent events: a) the investigation the author carried out together with some teachers in Italian High Schools (Liceos) on an educational guidance action, and b) the elements of innovation introduced in the Italian School system by a recent Reform Law. Last, after a re-consideration of the initial project, the features of a new information system, to be used both for assessment and guidance (i.e., it includes an e-portfolio for skills and guidance), and the role that informing science can play in helping teachers, students and families are reported.
