Face failure, stay positive, and don't assume failure is the end of everything. The objectives are, how to overcome and prevent the impact of failure based on the Qur'an, how to change the concept of failure based on the Qur'an, and how to rise from failure by drawing closer to Allah SWT. The research method uses Naturalistic research, which is about how to apply the knowledge of the Qur'an from the perspective of Failing to Enter the Dream College. The results show that Islam has a favorable view of the concept of failure, all of which are contained in the Al-Quran and Hadith; This indicates that as a Muslim believer we must always try and never give up because as has been explained that there are so many instructions and advice about the perspective of failure in the Al-Quran and Hadith.

This study aims to describe an overview of the concept of environmental conservation in the Koran, the urgency and conservation efforts in the Qur’an. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive research method with library research techniques. The results of the study show that environmental preservation in the Qur'an, which teaches us always to protect the environment, is contained in several verses, including QS Ar-Rum: 41-42 about Prohibition of Making Damage on Earth, QS Al A'raf: 56-58 about Caring for the environment. and QS Al-Baqarah (2): 60 about Allah providing sustenance to all humans and forbidding humans to make mischief on this earth. Then the urgency of environmental preservation, according to the Qur'an, is explained that the environment is nature where humans are in it must be preserved. This is based on human dependence on nature, and everything is created in balance, everything in nature is for the benefit of humans and nature as a source of sustenance and the efforts recommended by the Qur'an in preserving the surrounding environment, among others; planting trees for reforestation, managing dead and vacant land, keeping the environment clean and avoiding destruction and maintaining the balance of nature.

The Holy Qur'an contains everything related to the existence and dynamics of human life as creatures in the universe. Including the discussion of the history of the origin of human creation by the creator to the activities carried out by humans. One of them is about education management. In this case because the holy book al quranul karim is the main teaching of Islam whose function is as a guide for mankind so that mankind becomes a good and right "khalifatun fil ardhi". In studying the principles of management, a more in-depth study of the content of the Qur'an is needed as an effort for mankind to get guidance, so that Muslims can really benefit and apply according to the guidance in the Qur'an. The content of the Holy Qur'an is very complex, it contains various kinds of problems that have occurred, current events, even future events or those that will occur in the future. It has been written in the verse of the Qur'an problems in the realm of education management as well as those found in the hadith. What is explained in the hadith is the basic principle of Islamic teaching second only to the holy book Al-Qur'an. Hadith becomes a second foundation in the principle of Islamic education management. This is because the hadith provides a comprehensive explanation of the holy Quran.

This article aims to discuss the relevance of medical science to the Quran regarding the structure of human skin. This study uses a qualitative research method presented in a descriptive analysis design, based on the theory of scientific interpretation. The technique used for data collection is literature review using books and journals that have a correlation with this research. This study shows the relationship between the structure of human skin and medical science as written in the verses of the Quran. The different fingerprints on human skin have been explained in the Quran and are relevant to the explanation of forensic science in the field of medicine, to help identify criminals or find the owner of fingerprints. Furthermore, the anatomical structure of the skin also serves as a pain receptor, as explained in the Quran, which is relevant to the explanation of medical science, that if sensory nerves are damaged, pain receptors will disappear. Therefore, it is clearly written in the Quran that the punishment for disbelievers in hell is that their skin will be burned and Allah will replace it with new skin, so that the disbelievers will feel continuous pain. This study concludes that the connection between the Quran and existing technological advancements is very close, as everything that exists and happens has been clearly written in the Quran.Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendiskusikan tentang relevansi ilmu kedokteran dengan Al-Qur’an tentang struktur kulit manusia. Kajian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang penyajiannya menggunakan desain analisis deskriptif, yang didasari oleh teori tafsir sains. adapun teknik dalam pengumpulan data, menggunakan telaah kepustakaan dengan sumber buku-buku dan jurnal yang memiliki korelasi dengan penelitian ini. Kajian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara struktur kulit manusia dengan ilmu kedokteran sebagaimana telah tertulis dalam ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Sidik jari pada kulit manusia yang berbeda-beda telah dijelaskan dalam Al-Qur'an dan relevan dengan penjelasan ilmu forensik yang ada pada bidang kedokteran untuk membantu menemukan pelaku kejahatan atau menemukan pemilik sidik jari. Lalu struktur anatomi kulit juga menjadi reseptor rasa sakit sebagaimana penjelasan Al-Qur'an juga relevan dengan penjelasan ilmu kedokteran, yaitu jika ujung saraf sensorik sudah rusak, maka reseptor rasa sakit akan hilang. Maka dari itu tertulis jelas di dalam Al-Qur’an bahwa balasan azab bagi orang-orang kafir di neraka kelak adalah jika kulit itu hangus maka Allah akan mengganti dengan kulit yang baru, agar orang kafir merasa sakit yang bersifat terus menerus. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keterkaitan antara Al-Qur’an dengan perkembangan teknologi yang ada sangatlah erat, karena sesungguhnya segala sesuatu yang ada dan terjadi telah tertulis jelas di dalam Al-Qur’an.

Allah SWT has created a variety of nature on this earth. The plant that God created with various benefits. Wrong is for human needs. Humans as God's creatures also need plants for them. In fact, the essence is the most perfect worshiper of God, but they will still need the plant. The universe is the greatest gift to man, for that Allah Almighty enjoined man to make good use of it and we must continue to give thanks to Him. In reality, however, there is corruption here and there from the actions of the hypocrites. Human beings as perfect beings who are mind-wielded by God should use their reason for everything good for themselves and for others. Including plant or tree maintenance for the sake of their environmental sustainability. In addition, we also should not neglect the land because the land can be used for something good. the environment taught by Rasulullah SAW based on revelation, so many we encounter scientific verses of the Qur'an that discusses the environment. The Quranic messages about the environment are very clear and perspective. This authors' journal will try to discuss extensively al-Quran and the environment, since al-Qur'an has explained the importance of safeguarding the environment by laying its foundations and principles globally. Purpose of problem First: Knowing what and how the current environmental condition. Second: Knowing how important it is to maintain and maintain the environment. Third: Know how to keep the environment as it is in al-Qur'an.

This article discusses the method of interpreting the Qur'an. After tracking bibliographic sources, it was found that the differences between the commentators of the Qur'an in the use and meaning of the terms manhaj and uslub. According to the author, the correct one, the term used for the Interpretation of Tahlili, Ijmali, Maudhu'i and Muqaran is uslub not manhaj. Uslub Tafsir Tahlili, is a systematic system used by an interpreter in interpreting the Koran in accordance with the order of verses and letters in the Mushaf, both in whole or in a number of verses or letters. Then in each verse explained everything related to the verse, for example the meaning of the word, the meaning of stylist, asbab nuzul, the laws contained, and the meaning of the whole verse. Uslub Tafsir Ijmali, is a mathematical commentator who adheres to the arrangement of verses that are grouped. Then, explained the general meaning or the whole verse in accordance with what is desired by the editorial verse. Uslub Tafsir Muqaran is collecting and comparing between the two interpretations of the ulama or more about the verses of the Koran, studying them, and concluding which interpretations are the most powerful. Uslub Tafsir Maudhu'i is a systematic writing of interpretations used by an interpreter by not following the order of verses in the Koran. But by collecting all the verses that speak the same theme, then explain and take legal conclusions.

Abstract Quality is important is to be undertaken by an educational institution, especially institutions of Islamic education. Because quality is something addressed in the management of an Islamic educational institutions. Management generally have a lot of the concept of quality, but concept of quality in the Islamic educational management is little. Therefore, formulating and underlying concepts of quality in the Islamic educational management becomes important. Quality always associated with customers, stakeholder, users of products or services produced by an organization or individual. Quality is a measure used to assess the process and product. However, the quality usually determined by the customer, not the supplier. The concept of quality in management education can be synchronized with the Islam of the Koran and al-Hadith. The Koran and al-Hadith provide cues about quality in everything with the word ihsan. Ihsan means quality. If applicable and explained, apparently ihsan has implications for the quality of the process, the quality of the planning and control, which in turn produces quality development frameworks according to al-Qur'an and al-hadith. All economic activities originate from human physical needs to be able to continue living in this world. All the needs for survival will be worked on by themselves, but when the needs for life cannot be met alone, then there is social interaction in meeting the needs of life among humans. This interaction actually represents the interaction of demand and supply, the interaction of consumption and production, so that the market emerges as a container for this economic interaction. In Islam it is explained that the earth with everything in it is the mandate of Allah SWT to humans to be used as well as possible for the welfare of Muslims. While humans have two functions in this world, namely as servants of God whose duty is to worship Him and as caliphs whose duty is to prosper and prosper God's earth. One of the uses that has been given to man as the caliph of God is economic activities in general and consumption activities in particular. Islam teaches people to use the right foundation in order to gain pleasure from Allah in carrying out their functions as caliph.

Allah SWT is the absolute owner of property as explained in the Qur'an An-Nisa, 132 explains: "And belongs to God what is in the sky and on earth". Then in the Surah Al-Baqarah verse 29 it says: "He is Allah, Who made everything on earth for you." Treasures owned by humans are entrusted by Allah SWT and ownership and use of property by individuals are limited. Whereas conventional ownership of property is unlimited and is only limited by laws and moral ethics in its use. Capra (2001: 26) says that in Islam there is no separation between material (world) and spiritual life ("in spite of its emphasis on morals, Islam does not recognize any watertight distinction between the material and the spiritual"). In that sense it can be concluded that sharia accounting is part of spiritual Islam itself. So it can be interpreted as ownership of assets in sharia accounting following the system of rules that apply in Islamic sharia itself. Recording and reporting of fixed assets in sharia accounting must follow the established sharia method and will be discussed in this article. Includes zakat on fixed assets of the company.

This paper discusses the ethics of protecting the environment according to Ibn Khaldun. Starting from his statement in his magnum opus entitled Muqaddimah, he explained how the orderliness of the universe and everything within is a unified system that is mutually dependent on one another. The order and harmony of the universe are full of endless wisdom and lessons. From this, lessons can be drawn, one of which is that the natural order system reflects the social system prevailing in society. Social systems that rely on each other between individuals will produce a civilized society. So to maintain the order and balance of the environment, the Qur'an through Qs. al-A'raf verse 56 forbids doing damage on earth. Through the maqasidi interpretation approach to the verse, it can be concluded that the main principle of maqasid al-syariah can only be implemented in everyday life if the environment is conducive. Environmental conditions will affect the effectiveness of the application of Islamic law.

AbstractIn the previous chapter we looked at current trends and developments in Dutch health and social care. We now turn our attention to their implications for the future sustainability of care. As explained in Chap. 1, in this report we take a broader than usual view of the concept of sustainability. In this chapter we explore the mechanisms of that wide-ranging interpretation and look at how the three dimensions of sustainability—financial, staffing and societal—are evolving. We do this by reviewing historical developments, the current situation and prognoses for the future. As part of our analysis we also address the finding that the three dimensions are closely interrelated, resulting in everything from mutually reinforcing effects to mutual trade-offs—more of one means less of the other.

AbstractThis summary of the theory prepares for the final, considerably shorter chapters. It lays down the pieces of the puzzle in an entropology of human connectedness, impact and trust. Cultural, epochal specializations in distrust, futility and disconnection point to three types of entropy and six (structural and cognitive) subtypes.The theory substantiates a longue durée explanation of post-knowledge in relation to the preceding transitions of the Neolithic and modernity. A ‘speciated history’ differentiates between social, cultural and existential validity. Human experience has over a period of 10,000 years been consecutively deprived of its connection with sources of production, spheres and frames. The ways to escape from the simplex through de-simplication are centrifugal. They restore the dependence of meaning, event and energy on respectively culture, network and life. Participants become aware. An alternative technique with the same purpose of pulling the simplex into a dynamic is centripetal. Participants reconnect their inner feelings to meanings out there in the world after the simplex contracts to the real.The final chapters illustrate five tensors, each a way of centripetally regenerating social life (symbolized by the bundles of energy on the book cover). The discussed ethnography on divination already explained the technique of socially energizing. In each case an instance of contingency (or animate chance) removes all the clutter of symbolics and past speculations so that everyone and everything is in tune and the social situation can be rebooted. The reconnection of meaning and feeling strengthens trust and sense of impact.

This chapter explores content creation in relation to internet memes and the origin of the concept of memes as explained by Richard Dawkins' meme theory. It argues that as transmitters and replicators of cultural information memes, including social media content have the potential to serve as powerful and effective vehicles for disseminating cultural information and creating cultural spaces. For students, social media use is often a part of their daily routine and lifestyle with a focus on professional use. Using the case study of a first-year course at an HBCU, the chapter explores how the “everything is content” philosophy can be applied in instruction to curate a cultural classroom space, foster students' abilities to make connections between academic and social content and encourage students' critical thinking of their role in the creation and sharing of cultural through their social media use.

We may conclude that speculation about origins is an essential part of the human condition. There are a number of these origins to be explained: matter and energy, celestial objects, and living beings. We add the origin of mind to other beginnings, for in the present context it is important to know when and how mind entered the description of the universe.

The virtue of soil is one of only a few axioms of American culture. Respect for soil, which can be instilled at an early age without rousing political or religious controversy, is the mark of agrarian origins. Nevertheless, or perhaps for this very reason, the average American knows more about asteroids than about soil. Even scientists, who are responsible for knowing pretty much everything, seem generally less aware of soil than of water, air, or even rock. Thus, this chapter requires a primer on the nature of soil. The USDA, which is the center of gravity for soil science in the United States, has defined soil as “earthy materials . . . on the earth’s surface . . . capable of supporting plants out-of-doors.” To the thoughtful novice, this may seem a woefully unsatisfactory definition. In fact, one might feel downright indignant upon consulting a dictionary only to find that “earthy” means “having properties of soil.” Thus, the USDA seems to be saying that soil is something that is like soil. This could be a simple case of cheating or perhaps a devilishly clever means of suppressing debate about the definition of soil. Further reflection, however, suggests that the reference to plants is more significant than it first appears to be. Plants do not grow on bare rock, shifting sand, or the bottoms of oceans, all of which are non-soil substrates. Thus, the USDA definition may say it all, but is masterfully understated in doing so. Soil science textbooks are also a source of definitions, some of which are gratifyingly descriptive. Birkeland’s (1984) textbook, which gives a geological perspective on soil, specifies that soil is a natural entity; is composed of mineral or organic constituents, or both; differs from the material from which it was originally derived; and reflects the operation of pedogenic processes. Pedogenic processes, in turn, include the addition of organic matter from plants and other substances from the atmosphere; removal of substances by water through erosion or leaching; and a variety of internal transformations and transfers involving organic matter and minerals.

A societal conflict as prolonged and complex as the reversal of national policy on wetlands in the United States must contain some lessons for the future. Perhaps we are still too close to the issues to have everything in perspective historically, but two lessons seem obvious. One of these has to do with the channelizing effect of change in public attitudes toward wetlands and the other with the stabilizing effect of science on regulations and policies intended for the protection of wetlands. A look back at the previous chapters suggests that the history of wetland policy in the United States can be divided into three eras: a classical era during which removal was the policy; a modern era during which protection was the policy; and a new era, which appears to be postmodern in the sense that we adjust protection qualitatively in an attempt to make our coexistence with wetlands more comfortable. Politics of the removal era appear to have been relatively tranquil, as congressional action surrounding wetlands developed almost entirely through consultation with a single interest group (i.e., those who saw some economically beneficial potential in federal progams subsidizing or encouraging the removal of wetlands; Tzoumis 1998). The desire for protection, although present in some circles much earlier, became politically potent in parallel with the growth of general public support for environmental legislation. From that time forward, legislation and national policy have consistently been formed in an atmosphere of strongly opposing viewpoints, but the protectionist impulse has prevailed. It seems doubtful now that an open legislative assault on wetland protection would be successful, simply because the public has fully absorbed the idea of protection for about a generation. The fundamental intent of protectionism, however, still could be subverted judicially or administratively; this is the main issue for the future. From 1970 to the present, the politics of wetlands has seemed unstable and even chaotic. Participants in the contest over wetlands typically have viewed the future with a high degree of pessimism. This is especially true for the defenders of wetlands, who fear, and in some cases almost anticipate, reactionary backsliding.

This chapter considers the poem “Dunya Binshaɣkam Dinara” as Afa Ajura's magnum opus, resembling a part of the Qur'an in terms of its length and varied subject matter. It discusses Afa Ajura's explanation of the five pillars of Islam, which is significant in the sense that he provides crucial instructions and things that would nullify them. It also illustrates the way Afa Ajura weaves Dagbon overlords into the poem as he acknowledges their greatness and depicts them as defeated and insignificant before the Almighty God. The chapter details the wedding practices in which Dagombas used to engage and the practice of tibbu, through which the local clerics managed to hold the population captive with regard to claims of solving their problems. It highlights Afa Ajura's narration and criticism of the northern women going to the mining town of Akotia in southern Ghana.

Abstract One evening a few years ago I was with some other faculty members at the University of Texas, telling a group of undergraduates about work in our respective disciplines. I outlined the great progress we physicists had made in explaining what was known experimentally about elementary particles and fields – how when I was a student I had to learn a large variety of miscellaneous facts about particles, forces, and symmetries; how in the decade from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s all these odds and ends were explained in what is now called the Standard Model of elementary particles; how we learned that these miscellaneous facts about particles could be deduced mathematically from a few fairly simple principles; and how a great collective Aha! then went out from the community of physicists. After my remarks, a faculty colleague (not a particle physicist) commented ‘Well, of course, you know science does not really explain things – it just describes them.’

In his search for the primary substance of matter, Anaximenes returned to the tangible world and chose air. And he explained the manifold of natural phenomena quantitatively, in terms of condensation and rarefaction of air (of one material of unchangeable nature). With these opposite processes in mind, it was no longer necessary to ascribe all sorts of different properties to each object—such as rigidity, softness, hotness, coldness—just how dense it was. This idea in itself has a certain truth. But from a grander point of view as regards the evolution of science, his theory was the stepping-stone to one of the most consequential truths of nature, the atom! Atomism, however, required first the development of all other great ideas conceived thereafter, including mathematics. The significance of mathematics as a practical method to describe nature had been realized first by the great Pythagoras because of his passion for numbers.

Surface application has gained more and more popularity as a means of increasing the quality of paper and board. In its broadest sense, surface application covers everything from sur face-sizing to extrusion coating, but this review will concentrate on surface sizing and pigment coating, i.e. processes taking place as an integrated part of the paper manufacture. Because the goals of the surface treatmant are different and depending on the quality of the paper desired, the review will cover our present fundamental understanding of the processes themselves. The presentation will start with a description of the water or liquid penetration in paper. Then the mechanics of various blade coating processes and the liquid transport it blade coaters will be explained. Last will come a presentation of the size press and new equipment for surface sizing.

Semiotics is the study of signs and sign systems, and the formation of their meanings. From the point of view of semiotics, signs are explained by the assumption that everything has a certain meaning, often multiple meanings. The purpose of this paper is to answer the question – what is the role of semiotics in educational science? Education and art education have always been at the crossroads of these interpretations of meaning because semiotics presupposes an interpretation that is influenced by a myriad of circumstances and coincidences. The scoping review and nodes strategy was used in this literature review to select relevant articles. The Web of Science Thematic Framework of Education and Educational Research database was chosen to map the role of semiotics. The criteria for article selection were language – articles written in English were selected – and keywords (“Semiotics” and “Semiotics, Art Education”). Based on these criteria 167 open-access articles were initially selected for analysis, from which further exploration was based on keywords relevant to the topic. After analysing the abstracts of the selected articles, the papers were grouped according to the theoretical framework and approach. The main finding of this literature review was that semiotic analysis can help develop students’ critical thinking skills.

Among the many different approaches to teach engineering subjects, the project-based methodology turns out to be one of the most effective ones. In the field of undergraduate numerical methods, it can overcome some of its inherent difficulties. This paper considers a particular context: a general 90-hour numerical methods subject in an Industrial-Mechanical Engineering degree. The methods are applied to mechanical engineering problems such as matrix structural analysis, finite element method, multibody systems (MBS), harmonic analysis, or optimization. The article suggests how an appropriate formulation and a practical MATLAB™-based project make up a good approach for a short-time practical training on multibody dynamics (MBD) within that subject. The keys to the theoretical lessons and an example of the project are explained thoroughly. The mechanical project has to be rich in numerical methods. MBD and the finite element method fulfill this requirement. The former is chosen in this article. The students know the basics, but they have to learn everything about MBD in very little time. This experience can be useful in other educational contexts. After explaining the approach, some sample assignment exercises are described, as well as a possible way to assess the work of the students. The result of this approach is a reasonable achievement-time tradeoff shown in the solid skills acquired by the students and proven by the experience of the last few years.

In this abstract is being discussed the synthesis of new substituted amides of dehydroabietic acid with different bromides in system K2CO3/DMF. It is known fact that many compounds, such as famous isatine 1, have the amide group in its molecule. There is no point in talking about it, because everything is known regarding chemical properties. However, what if there are two amide groups in the molecule at once? Let us see… For our investigation, we used the model of well-known alkylation reaction [1]. As starting material, we used two types of bromide: aliphatic and aromatic – bromoacetone [2] and phenacyl bromide [3], respectively, which reacted with dioxalane 2 [4] in above described conditions [4].The first approach was started from slight excess of corresponding bromide (1.2-1.3 eq.) and the full conversion observed after 3 hours at 40-500C. According to NMR spectrum, the isolated white solids are monosubstituted products – 3 and 4, respectively [4]. Increasing the amount of bromide to 3-4 equivalents didn't change the situation – the TLC showed only monosubstituted compounds. And the last approach was in significantly increasing the amount of bromide (up to 10 equivalents) and heating the reaction mixture above 1000C for several days, resulting a significant drop in the yield of the desired products and the formation of by-products that could not be isolated and characterized. The formation of monosubstituted products can be explained by steric factors – the close location of methyl and carbonyl group to the reaction center at the nitrogen atom in dehydroabietic fragment.

Determinations and analysis are needed in agricultural research to verify soil quality, irrigation water quality, yield quantity and quality also. All these data resulted of these measurements can not practicality, if not achieved statistical calculation. In the past, statistical calculation was done with pencil on paper, requiring more time for processing. With the advent of computers and software, this has become much easier time processing statistics becoming increasingly shorter, which greatly increased the efficiency of obtaining results and conclusions in agricultural research. This paper presents examples of statistical calculation like analysis of variance with ANOVA and correlation of experimental data from agricultural production using MS Excel, and creating of maps for physical and chemical indicators of soil or groundwater, using MATLAB. To calculate the variance analysis and correlation are presented the steps to follow in their performance. The paper contain explains in three case studies: first - the analysis of variance in production of wheat in a farm experience with several varieties; the second study - the correlation between productivity elements and sowing density for winter wheat; and the third study - about carrying out maps for physicochemical indices of soil and groundwater from a farm in Big Island of Braila. For a quick understanding of the calculation were carried print screens of each step, with explanations and the modality of creating graphics and how to interpret the final significances. Also, in creating maps is explained everything, step by step, including how to make legends and how can interpret the results. These examples of statistical calculation can be useful to researchers, engineers and students of agricultural sciences.
