The COVID-19 pandemic has forced institutions worldwide shifting to fully online learning along with the campus shut down to avoid the spread of virus in year 2021. Considering the necessity of distance education during the pandemic, the Internet of Thing (IoT) and technology play an important role in keeping all connected. In this study, the usability and adoption of Microsoft OneNote class notebook via MS Teams are presented. In view of mathematics classes require a lot of annotation and demonstration of calculation solutions, OneNote class notebook via MS Teams is adopted due to its built-in content library space and collaboration space which act as the digital whiteboard for teachers and students. Besides, OneNote class notebook is able to provide a real-time synchronized space for all the mathematical works. The convenience, usefulness and real-time features of OneNote class notebook via MS Teams make it a powerful tool and as a substitute for the traditional classroom. The chat history and work done in the collaboration space during the break-out room sessions via MS Teams offer the students space to recall and retrieve what has been learned in the class. The COVID-19 crisis provides us an opportunity to blend in the component of IoT in education such as live and collaborative platforms in OneNote class notebook to complement both face-to-face and online education.

Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) is a connectivity protocol between machines or now better known as the Internet of Things (IoT). This protocol recognizes two basic functions of M2M communication, namely publish and subscribe (pub/sub). The MQTT protocol is designed as a very simple and very lightweight message delivery protocol, designed for devices that are limited and with low bandwidth capacity, high latency or on an unreliable network. The design principles are to minimize bandwidth requirements and device resource requirements, and keep trying to ensure reliability and guaranteed delivery rates. In this paper, VerneMQ performance reliability is tested - one of the MQTT brokers, with several stressing levels using ESP-32 as a publisher and notebook with the python application as a subscriber.

Currently, mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets are widespread within the student community. However, their potential to be used in classrooms is yet to be fully explored. Our work proposes an approach that benefits from the ease of access to mobile devices, and combines it with state-of-the-art software and hardware. This approach builds upon previous developments from our team on biosignal acquisition and analysis, and is designed towards the enrichment of the teaching experience for students, namely in what concerns laboratory activities in the field of biomedical engineering. The implementation of such methodology aims at involving students more actively in the learning process, using case studies and emerging educational approaches such as project-based, active and research-based learning. It also provides an effective option for remote teaching, as recently required by the COVID-19 outbreak. In our approach (ScientIST) we explore the use of the Arduino MKR WIFI 1010, a variant of the popular electronic platform, recently launched for prototyping Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and the Google Science Journal (GSJ), a digital notebook created by Google, to support laboratory activities using mobile devices. This approach has shown promising results in two case studies, namely, documenting a Histology laboratory class and a Photoplethysmography (PPG) data acquisition and processing experiment. The System Usability Scale (SUS) was used in the evaluation of the students’ experience, revealing an overall score of 78.68%.

In recent years, the interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) has been growing because this technology bridges the gap between the physical and virtual world, by connecting different objects and people through communication networks, in order to improve the quality of life. New IoT wearable devices require new types of antennas with unique shapes, made on unconventional substrates, which can be unobtrusively integrated into clothes and accessories. In this paper, we propose a fully textile dual-band logo antenna integrated with a reflector for application in IoT wearable devices. The proposed antenna’s radiating elements have been shaped to mimic the logo of South-West University “Neofit Rilski” for an unobtrusive integration in accessories. A reflector has been mounted on the opposite side of the textile substrate to reduce the radiation from the wearable antenna and improve its robustness against the loading effect from nearby objects. Two antenna prototypes were fabricated and tested in free space as well as on three different objects (human body, notebook, and laptop). Moreover, in the two frequency ranges of interest a radiation efficiency of 25–38% and 62–90% was achieved. Moreover, due to the reflector, the maximum local specific-absorption rate, which averaged over 10 g mass in the human-body phantom, was found to be equal to 0.5182 W/kg at 2.4 GHz and 0.16379 W/kg at 5.47 GHz. Additionally, the results from the performed measurement-campaign collecting received the signal-strength indicator and packet loss for an off-body scenario in real-world use, demonstrating that the backpack-integrated antenna prototype can form high-quality off-body communication channels.

This study proposes a smart irrigation system (SIS) using the drip method, which was designed and implemented using wireless sensor networks and an open-source Internet of Things (IoT) cloud computing platform (“Thingspeak.com”) for data collection, storing, data analytics, and visualization. The methodology incorporates the integration of hardware and software components to make irrigation decisions based on web resources like the weather forecast from “weather.com” and sensor values from soil samples. The data collected are then analyzed at the edge server and updated every 15 minutes. Based on the threshold value, the system starts pumping water or stops the irrigation process depending on the irrigation schedule. A web application was developed to display the result so that we could monitor and control the system using an android application edge or a web browser. Based on the data recorded and measured, the data are in comma-separated values (CSV) format and contain 143731 entries with 10 columns. The sample size used contains 5722 rows and 6 columns from the result of our machine learning algorithms using Microsoft Excel and Jupyter Notebook to process and evaluate the performance of the drip SIS, considering the soil moisture, soil temperature, sunlight, rain, and pump. The results confirm the threshold metrics classification evaluation, and some of the metrics computed from our confusion matrix are shown in the classification summary results, showing the accuracy to be 89%, the misclassification rate (error rate) is equal to 10%, the sensitivity is equal to 79%, the specificity is equal to 93%, and the precision of the model is 81%. The evaluation, when compared to K-nearest neighbours using K = 6 and K = 1, shows the prediction accuracy to be 97% and 98%. The results indicate the system is highly efficient and reliable in performing irrigation and managing water resources and can be adopted in rural areas to boost agricultural productivity.

<p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong><strong>.</strong> <em>Dalangan Elementary School 02 and 30 Tawangsari, Sukoharjo District, Sukoharjo Regency are located in the village of Dalangan, which is an in-depth area. School facilities such as LCDs, notebooks and even the internet already exist in several schools in the Merauke Cluster Elementary Schools in Nguter District, Sukoharjo Regency. The fact is that teachers are still few in using ICT media as a medium of learning, teachers in these schools still mostly use image media and conventional media. Whereas in every school, LCD and notebook are available. However, only a few teachers have not yet mastered the technology of making ICT-based media. The use of ICT media uses more exposure to power pints. The use of power points that is displayed is less interactive and tends to be exposive. So that the use of ICT media is not optimal. Based on these problems, the formulation of the problem to be answered is "Can training be able to provide knowledge about the making of interactive learning media through power point animation and Flash for the RA Kartini KKG Group in Sukoharjo District, Sukoharjo Regency? The results achieved through this activity are as follows; 1) There is increased skills in designing and converting offline RPP to online. 2) There is an increase in the knowledge and skills of the teachers about the making of video presentation learning media through OBS studio and online evaluation Quiziz. 3) Availability of online lesson plans, presentation video learning media through OBS studio and online evaluation Quiziz. 4) The involvement of partner teachers in community service activities, 100% starting from socialization, counseling, training and assistance in making ICT-based interactive learning media. 5) Activity reaches 80% of partner participants who are actively participating in the training must be able to do in developing and making ICT-based interactive learning media</em></p><p align="center"> </p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong><em>.Sekolah Dasar Negeri Dalangan 02 dan 30 Tawangsari kecamatan Sukoharjo Kabupaten Sukoharjo terletak di desa Dalangan yang termasuk daerah pendalaman. Fasilitas sekolah seperti LCD, notebook bahkan internet sudah ada di beberapa sekolah Gugus Merauke Sekolah Dasar seKecamatan Nguter Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Kenyataan guru masih sedikit dalam menggunakan mediia ICT sebagai media pembelajaran, guru di sekolah tersebut lebih banyak masih menggunakan media gambar dan media konvensional. Padahal di setiap sekolah sudah tersedia LCD dan notebook. Akan tetapi hanya beberapa guru yang belum bisa menguasai teknologi pembuatan media berbasis ICT. Penggunaan media ICT, lebih banyak menggunakan pemaparan pada power pint. Penggunaan power point yang ditampilkan masih kurang interaktif dan cenderung pemaparan. Sehingga penggunakan media ICT belum maksimal. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, rumusan masalah yang akan dijawabadalah “Apakah dengan pelatihan mampu memberikan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif melalui animasi power point dan Flash bagi KKG Gugus RA Kartini seKecamatan Sukoharjo Kabupaten Sukoharjo? Hasil yang dicapai melalui kegiatan ini adalah sebagai berikut; 1)Adanya peningkatan ketrampilan dalam merancang dan merubah RPP luring ke daring. 2)Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru tentang pembuatan media pembelajaran video presentasi melalui OBS studio dan evaluasi online Quiziz. 3)Tersedianya RPP daring, media pembelajaran video presentasi melalui OBS studio dan evaluasi online Quiziz. 4)Keterlibatan guru mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, 100% mulai dari kegiatan sosialisasi, penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis ICT. 5)Kaeaktifan mencapai 80% peserta mitra yang secara aktif mengikuti pelatihan harus mampu melakukan dalam mengembangkan dan membuat media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis ICT.</em></p>

In the past years, the Internet of Things (IoT) used in different applications and very wide range of fields (e.g. cloud services, smart environments, logistics, social and personal domains, and healthcare services). The IoT included a variety of components and devices such as RFID devices, wireless sensors, actuators, and wireless networks. Also, the IoT with smart devices adopted in various companies, organizations and public services systems. For instance, some devices like Notebooks and smartphones have been used to perform different management activities and duties. These smart devices relied on data exchange and data storage resources in clouds computing services. In this context, the saved data and exchanged data required protection against hacking operations, transferred with more secure communications channels, and safe storage environment in the clouds and local storage systems. In this paper, we proposed some encryption algorithms to tackle the issue of data confidentiality in the IoT applications. This research provided analysis and investigation of these encryption algorithms in light of components of the designs, versions of these algorithms, encryption keys, block size, round functions and the techniques used in the designs.

The article analyzes the use of modern ICT in classroom work in the integration of civic and foreign language competencies. During the study, a set of complementary methods was used, which allowed to analyze the theoretical and methodological developments of domestic and foreign scientists on this method of active training of future specialists in the food industry. The methodology of research work is based on theoretical methods of scientific knowledge. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and analyze the specifics of the use of modern ICT in classroom work in the formation of civic and professionally oriented foreign language competence of future specialists in the food industry. In the course of the work the specifics of using modern ICT in classroom work in the formation of civic and professionally oriented foreign language competencies of future food industry specialists are considered, and the theoretical and methodological bases of the problem of using modern ICT in classrooms are substantiated. It is noted that the introduction of new innovative technologies, including the SMART Board interactive whiteboard with the involvement of SMART Notebook software, educational chatbots are modern tools that should help achieve this goal. The results showed that ICTs create ample opportunities for the development of modern education and allow to effectively build the learning process. Information and communication technologies (ICT) create ample opportunities for the development of modern education, primarily in the direction of individualization, create conditions for the realization of the creative potential of teachers and students. ICT educational tools include a variety of software and hardware designed to solve certain pedagogical problems that have a substantive content and are focused on interaction with students. In the field of teaching, the technology of using ICT opens up new didactic opportunities associated with the visualization of the material, its «revival”, the ability to visualize those phenomena and processes that cannot be demonstrated in other ways. There is an opportunity to concentrate large amounts of educational material from different sources, presented in different forms, optimally selected and composed by the teacher depending on the needs of students and the characteristics of the program. We consider the interactive whiteboard and the SMART Notebook program to be the most perfect technical tool for classroom work. The use of chatbots is promising and appropriate in the educational process.

With the emergence of the use of the traditional (non-touch screen) notebook computer in the classroom, different teaching styles and equipment have been introduced. Teachers have started to use the Notebook PC to support their teaching. They now have the ability to gather and use a far greater range of materials in the classroom with little distraction. The introduction of the touch screen Tablet PC has brought another dimension to the way technology can be used in the classroom. This study seeks to investigate the ways in which Tablet PC technology has been used to enhance the learning of students within the classroom and how that differs from that of the traditional notebook. The purpose of this study was to look at ways in which the Tablet PC technology was being used in a specific school setting. It looked at how teachers used the Tablet PC in a classroom environment; investigated what unique features of the Tablet PC were being utilised; and for what purposes specific features were being used. It looked at how classroom dynamics changed; the physical look and feel of the classroom; as well as the changes in pedagogies around the use of the Tablet PC. Additionally, the study looked at teacher/student and student/student interactions as a result of the use of the Tablet PC. The study concluded that the Tablet PC was implemented with some success, within the selected school, and a number of unique features were used. The results suggested that in particular circumstances the dynamics of the classroom changed for the better as did classroom setup, pedagogies and interactions between students and teachers. The study found that there were a number of key indicators that needed to be improved before a Tablet PC program could become successful. These included: increased Professional Development for teachers around the use of the Tablet PC in the classroom; increased time allocation for teachers to investigate and create learning activities; improvements in the school’s infrastructure and quality of the students’ Tablet PCs. The study also recommended that once the key indicators have been met, another study into the use of the Tablet PC in a school setting should be conducted. This should be able to give a far greater indication of the role the Tablet PC has in education.

In this thesis, we would like to present the principle of battery control board work, manufacture assembly for notebook battery. We had design different testing conditions that vary with charging voltage and current to assess charging time, battery performance and battery cycle life. However, the optimization of battery charging is base on Charging Temperature, Charging Voltage, Charging Current and Discharging Current, those factors will impact Battery charging and discharging efficient and improve Battery cycle life. Between CC-CV charging mode and Step charging mode, the different is we can get better Battery optimize and it can delay degradation for Battery.

Under the current developmental condition of global, small-sized lithium-ion secondary battery industry, this study is based on firm theory structure – providing an in-depth discussion on the overall developmental trend of case company supply notebook computer manufacturers, aiming at the internal, industry and macro assessment of environmental factors to bring out the essential environmental advantages affected by strategy development and formulate an optimal competitive strategy through the mission statement of case company. The study is followed by utilizing a specific strategy on a case company as concrete practice; hopefully, providing an analytic model as a reference for lithium-ion battery industry to set up a competitive strategy. Having adopted a descriptive case study, this research has come up with following conclusions through the related study of domestic and foreign archives, sub-level data collection as well as industry analysis report: 1. With the mission statement and key elements inside of the case company, the industry and macro environment are individually analyzed to distinguish the advantages of case company among three major environments by using 7S model, 5 forces model, and PESTEL model. The conclusion is key elements that take shape under its competitive strategy and formulate an optimal competitive strategy would be a reference for the case company to formulate optimal competitive strategy and revise any specific strategy. 2. With the corporate mission statement, according to environmental evaluation made by the case company, the optimal competitive strategy must be executed through aggressive expansion of customers, so as to fulfill government policy and achieve its corporate mission toward top industry leadership position. 3. In terms of the execution of specific strategy by the case company, an incentive system to boost up sales is suggested to encourage sales team to achieve number one status in global lithium-ion battery industry. Keeping competitive prices to gain more orders from a larger customer group, catching up with the movement of a larger customer group through government power to expand the market, and under macro environment with strong support from government, will enable the achievement of corporate mission and purpose of this study.

Chapter 18 construes Coleridge’s last Notebook (March–April 1834, which he titled, ‘Faith, Prayer, Meditation’) as the coda to his work and life, an analogy with the concluding lines to Biographia Literaria and to Opus Maximum Fragment 2, lines likewise taken as codas to their respective works. Building on Mays’ characterization of Coleridge’s ‘poetry of the affections’, and on his identification of the arc of Coleridge’s life as arising within the bosom of his father’s so-called ‘simple’ faith, navigating ‘strange seas of thought’, and coming home at the end to his own (more complicated) simplicity, it argues that one ‘Clew’ to Notebook 55 as coda to his work and life lies in the place the affections enjoy in Coleridge’s notebooks of 1827–34, whose entries most deeply constitute exercises in contemplation.

Although recognized as a student of Greek language and culture, Wilde also read Latin fluently and studied Roman history and literature. This knowledge is displayed in his thesis-length essay, ‘Historical Criticism’, written in 1879 but unpublished in his lifetime; it compares classical Greek and Roman historians, with about 90 per cent of the exposition devoted to the Greeks. Wilde’s truncated consideration of Roman historians like Livy and Tacitus in ‘Historical Criticism’ would have been amplified considerably if he had included more of the language and examples he drafted, as seen in the unquoted entries in his two Oxford notebooks and in the ‘Historical Criticism’ notebook. Allusions and mentions in Wilde’s letters and later works, from his poetry and journalism to critical essays and finally to De Profundis, also display the lifelong range of his references to Roman history, historians, and culture.

It explains that writings which could be classed as notebook material appear under other headings because Coleridge wrote them in the margins of books (marginalia) or on unbound sheets of paper. The article describes the contents, development, and structure of Coleridge's notebook writings. It suggests that the first user of the notebook was Coleridge himself because he considered them as his sole confidant, where he could write down the feelings he felt unable to share with others.

The poet John Keats trained as a surgeon at Guy’s Hospital, London while simultaneously making his way as a poet. This book focuses attention on an important but hitherto neglected manuscript: the notebook Keats maintained during this time, with the premise that in Keats’ medical Notebook exists a manuscript revealing both the true depth of the poet’s medical knowledge and the significant influence this exercised on his poetry. Reconstructing the lively medical world that played a formative role in Keats’ intellectual and imaginative development, this book explores the intriguing connections between Keats’ medical knowledge and his greatest poetry. It reveals that Keats’ two careers proved mutually enabling and enriching, with their co-existence contributing greatly to his success in both. Opening with a fully annotated edition of Keats’ medical Notebook newly transcribed from the manuscript, the book offers chapters on the provenance of Keats’ medical Notebook; the ‘hospital poems’ he wrote at Guy’s; the medical milieu of Keats’ daily life; his methods of working as revealed by his medical Notebook and other archival sources; and the medical contexts that informed his composition of Endymion and his 1820 volume, Lamia, Isabella, The Eve of St Agnes, and Other Poems. It shows how the visceral knowledge of human life that Keats gained at Guy’s Hospital transformed him into the ‘mighty poet of the human heart’, with new research recovering the many ways in which Keats’ creativity found expression in both his careers.

Chapter 1 describes Ashbery’s relationship with W. H. Auden in a new way, attending as much to the substantial, productive antagonisms between the two poets as to developing important continuities outlined by earlier critics. It positions The Vermont Notebook—an underrated volume in Ashbery’s oeuvre—as the critical point in Ashbery’s response to his mentor. The chapter argues that The Vermont Notebook serves as a trenchant critique of the turn towards conservatism in Auden’s poetry and cultural outlook after his move to the US in 1939. Through his homage to and appropriation of techniques from The Orators, Ashbery attempts to bring the innovative and versatile early Auden out from the shadow of his later self.

The Second Pedagogical Notebook is a continuation of the first ‘notebook’, dedicated to the Urban Planning Research course. The course and the notebook were created by Prof. Ivana Šverko, with the aim of offering students of architecture in Split the basics of urban planning research in a Mediterranean context. The idea behind the pedagogical notebook is to contribute to the recognition of the research phase as an essential starting point in the entire, complicated process of urban planning and design, as well as an understanding of research methodologies in specific spatial and social conditions. One of the ideal real-world templates for realising this goal is Zrinsko- Frankopanska Street, which developed along one of the Split peninsula’s Roman centuriation lines. This street connects the historical southern city harbour with the newer, northern one. Zrinsko-Frankopanska is an exceptionally important city street, and along its length there are a range of buildings dating from the ancient period to the 21st century, with almost every historical period represented. It is here that the most diverse range of public facilities can be found. The students mapped, studied, and analysed this city street, using historical and morphological analysis of spatial connections, greenery, the relationship between the public and the private, the accessible and inaccessible spaces, purpose, urban equipment, and so on. In doing so, they also noted relevant everyday human activities such as disposing of rubbish, as well as things such as the position and content of graffiti. They also included morphography – the description of forms without reference to their sources and development process – in their analytical approach. After the research phase, the students were instructed to target the problems they detected by proposing improvements to the existing elements, or by redesigning them. They were also required to open up the possibility of alternate uses for the space, up to the point in the design process when an architect or designer would usually take over. By presenting the study of a specific segment in this book, we wish to help students consider the complexity of the urban tissue, define the basic urban elements, research development processes, the typological and morphological characteristics of constriction and, ultimately, to identify everything that constitutes the “urban space as a whole”. We wish to guide them so that with their unique knowledge and tools, and their inclusion of all the other relevant professions in the processes of urban planning, they can become architects with sound professional and ethical principles, and develop into a new generation of responsible city-builders.

AbstractFor decades, creativity has been used to generate ideas among entrepreneurs and their teams. Although extensive research has been conducted on creativity, the majority of studies have focused on traditional ways of stimulating creativity, such as focus groups, the collective notebook method, brainstorming, brainwriting, reverse brainstorming and problem inventory analysis. However, the digital age appears to challenge much of this existing work on the nature of creativity. It is clear that online creativity and audiences are affecting the meaning, expression and impact of creativity. The traditional techniques of stimulating creativity have been replaced and aided by technology-driven innovations, such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR) and the Internet of things (IoT). This chapter explores ways to activate the creativity of entrepreneurs and their teams through the use of digital technologies. We believe that this chapter provides a rich source of examples on how technology is currently being used to support creativity by encouraging entrepreneurs and their teams to make connections, develop ideas, create meaning, collaborate and communicate. We present, in detail, three case studies and discuss practical implications for the future.

Python is a more powerful high-level language created by Guido van Rossum (first appeared in 20 February 1991; 31 years ago), and its language constructs and object-oriented approach aim to help programmers write clear, logical code for small- and large-scale projects. Its design philosophy emphasizes code readability with the use of significant indentation. Python is an object oriented, scripted, and interpreted language for both learning and real-world programming. First in this paper, Python is introduced as a language, and a summary given about data science, machine learning, and IoT. Then, details are provided about the packages that are popular in the data science and machine learning communities, such as NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow, Keras, and Matplotlib. After that, the authors will show the working criteria of Python for building IOT applications. The authors will use different code examples throughout. The learning experience, and executed examples, contained in this paper interactively used Jupyter notebook (notebook: 6.4.11) with Python (v3.10.4:9d38120e33, Mar 23 2022) on macOS Catalina-Version 10.15.7.

This chapter concludes the investigation by detailing the way that Beckett’s narrator/narrator weighs up a philosophy of imminence (Spinoza) against a philosophy of transcendence (Leibniz). A new reading of Beckett’s relationship to these preeminent Rationalists is sustained through an examination of the Comment c’est notebooks and Beckett’s “Philosophy Notes”, and other works, such as, Endgame. A deep affinity is discovered between Beckett’s work and Spinoza’s uncompromising attack on the Judeo-Christian transcendentalism and anthropomorphism, which complicates the interpretation of Beckett’s most Leibnizian passages in the third and final Part of How It Is, when Beckett’s “I” attempts unsuccessfully to give a Rationalist account of his own cosmology. The dialectic Beckett fashions between Spinoza Leibniz amplifies the wide range of philosophical concerns detailed over the preceding chapters of this book. His novel use of Leibniz’s mathematics, in particular the calculus of infinitesimals, is revealed as source of a number of philosophical images that interact with other philosophical tropes to interrogate the nature of reality and the divine, and the claim to represent with reason the relationships between each. Mathematics emerges, in Beckett’s text, as a symbolic language transformed into an original, poetic order that expresses the complex and often paradoxical aesthetic questions of authorship, character and textuality.

Os espaços urbanos estão se tornando ambientes inteligentes (SEs) os quais são compostos por uma grande quantidade de dispositivos heterogêneos: pessoais (celulares, notebooks, tablets, etc) e dispositivos de Internet das Coisas (IoT) (sensores, atuadores entre outros). Um dos problemas existentes dos SEs é a detecção de ataques de Negação de Serviço Distribuído (DDoS), devido às vulnerabilidades dos dispositivos IoT. Dessa forma, é necessário implantar soluções que possam detectar DDoS em SEs com escalabilidade, adaptabilidade e heterogeneidade (execução de aplicativos, capacidade de hardware e protocolos distintos). Dentro deste contexto, este artigo apresenta um Sistema Inteligente para detecção de ataques DDoS em SEs, aplicando abordagem de Aprendizado de Máquina (ML) em conjunto com Computação em Nuvem e em Névoa. Os experimentos realizados, usando tráfego de rede real, sugerem que o sistema proposto atinge 99% de acurácia, enquanto reduz o volume de dados trocados e o tempo de detecção.

The transition from printed to electronic sources of information has resulted in a profound change to the way procurement officers seek information. Furthermore, in the past decade there have been additional technological revolutions that are expected to further affect the procurement process. In this paper, we conduct a survey among forty nine university procurement officers in Israel to examine to what extent procurement officers have adapted to smartphones and tablets by testing how frequently officers use notebooks, smartphones, and tablets for work-related and leisure purposes. We find that while officers prefer electronic sources of information over printed sources of information, officers have not yet adapted to the later technological advances (i.e., smartphones and tablets). Notebooks are more frequently used than either smartphones or tablets for work-related and leisure purposes. One explanation behind this result is that officers are not skilled in using smartphone and tablets applications. This implies that training officers in the use of these devices may improve their performance.

The implementation of measurement data logging with data communication based on Bluetooth technology is described. The design, implementation and testing of two applications are presented. The first application is an alarm system to monitor alarm sensors and warning systems on a mobile device. The second application is a temperature and voltage measurement system, which transfers temperature and voltage values. Both applications are built up around a Bluetooth developer kit. A Bluetooth enabled mobile notebook PC or a PDA acts as a server. The implementation methodology consisting of application architecture design, technological design, software design, recording of measurement data, Bluetooth data transfer, and visualization of measurement data is described in detail.

The ongoing migration of mobile lifestyles and the increasing capabilities of portable systems will continue to drive demand for more flexible and portable battery charging systems (Brown, 2006). The use of computers has been limited due to lack of constant availability of power -issues such as data loss, transaction breakages, data compromise have become major challenges in areas (especially third world countries) where power supply is a problem. Thus there is a need to provide a means of power sharing through USB for computers to share power between two systems (with special emphasis on laptops). Related works/ research has shown that the power sharing between a computer system has only been possible with smaller devices like iPod, since the USB port gives 500mA/ +5V maximum. This paper describes a device that draws similar voltage and current as the iPod for a destination system after an amplification operation has been carried out on the supplied voltage and power. The power being transferred is initiated by the software driver on detection with destination voltage and current 18V-19V/4.5A with female connector. After construction it will be available to notebook computers system specification and very useful in emergencies and available to all due to its ease of use.

This study examines diverse information media in order to identify those formats that are most suitable for consumption via handheld mobile devices, namely smartphones and tablets. The preferences of the users were measured objectively, by analyzing actual data of their relative use of handheld mobile devices and personal computing (PC) desktop devices, including laptops and notebooks, for consumption of information presented in various formats. Our findings are based on Google Analytics pageview data of five course Websites during a period of three semesters, by 11,557 undergraduate students. M-learning contexts were chosen, since in a learning environment the interests of information providers (i.e., the instructors) are in accord with those of the information consumers (i.e., the students), whereas in commercial settings there may be conflicts of interests. Our findings demonstrate that although about 90% of the pageviews were via PC devices, the rate of smartphone use for consuming learning content in diverse information media is gradually increasing, as time goes by, whereas the rate of tablet use for these purposes is stagnant. The most promising direction for smartphone development, emanating from the findings, is online video content. With this script, the Meridional Overturning Circulation (MOC) can be computed from NEMO ocean-model output for the whole globe or the Atlantic (AMOC), Indic (IMOC) and Pacific (PMOC) subbasins. The MOC is computable in z- and sigma coordinates. Moreover, for nested configurations, it is possible to combine data from both host and nest grids. Finally, it is possible to take into account of that the ORCA model grid is curvilinear north of 20°N: it is possible to compute the northward velocity component from the velocity field in x- and y- directions and to sum up the meridional flux over latitudional bands instead of in x-direction. When both steps are applied, the resulting MOC shows however strong variability in meridional direction. It needs to be clarified, whether this is realistic or not. The software is provided in the form of the jupyter notebook "MOC.ipynb" which includes more informations on the possibilites of the computations and an extensive appendix section with comparisons to computations with cdftools, as well as with details on the computation of the MOC including nest data and taking the curvilinearity of the grid into account. Necessary python modules are listed at the beginning of the document.
