Abstract Education is the most veritable and viable option for national development and redress. Its existence guarantees the nation’s building and sustenance. This study evaluated the effects of teachers’ attitudes on insurance curriculum in senior secondary schools in Lagos State, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive research design cum survey method. A structured questionnaire was employed for data gathering. The questionnaire consisted of the research variables such as teachers’ personalities, teachers’ perceptions, teachers’ learning capacities, and insurance curriculum. The study adopted a multistage sampling technique. A sample size of 147 was drawn from teachers in Senior Secondary Schools in Lagos State, Nigeria. Research hypotheses were tested using simple regression techniques. The study confirmed the strategic influence of teachers’ attitudes on insurance curriculum in Lagos State. The study contributed significantly to knowledge by adding to the growing literature in teachers’ attitudes and insurance curriculum. School administrators are advised to move swiftly in their quest to provide enlightenment insurance curriculum to teachers in senior secondary schools in Nigeria. Schools Administrators in collaboration with teachers should endeavor to continually drive insurance curriculum awareness and thus ensure to entrench insurance in their respective curricula.

Insurance Regulatory Authority report in Kenya reveals that in the informal sector, players had no sufficient information on insurance to enable them purchase insurance for their businesses. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between awareness and uptake of insurance products in Kenya. Target population for the study comprised of 1124 teachers in public primary schools in Nakuru Sub-County from which a sample of 92 teachers was drawn using simple random sampling technique. Primary data was elicited from teachers using questionnaires that were administered to teachers using the drop and pick method. Validity in the study was determined using expert opinions while reliability of instruments was determined by computing the Cronbach reliability coefficient from pilot questionnaires. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and linear regression done to assess the relationship between insurance awareness and uptake of insurance products. Hypothesis testing was done. The tests were done at a significance level of P= 0.05. The study found out that the level of awareness on insurance significantly influenced its uptake therefore wrong information translated to low insurance uptake. The insurance regulatory authority together with other players in the insurance industry should come up with more robust and reliable mechanisms for disseminating correct insurance information to the public. This would ensure that people make the right choices on insurance, thus enhance insurance uptake

Over 1.3 billion people in the world are challenged to access good and cheap healthcare when become ill. Health insurance policies are a fantastic strategy to assist people who can't afford medical care. For middle- and low-income nations, there hasn't been much research on the ability to pay for health insurance for public employees like school teachers. Therefore, this cross-sectional questionnaire based research has been undertaken to explore the reflection of health insurance among 383 Bangladeshi school teachers of 5 divisional city center primary school and were being surveyed online between 1st August to 30th August 2022. According to survey, monthly average (mean) health expenditure of respondents were 7668.93 BDT (Bangladeshi Taka equivalent to $80.72) with 95% confidence interval. Of 35% responders suffered from high blood pressure, approximately 8% people were suffering from arthritis and asthma, 7.8% people have heart disease and 8.1 % people suffer from cholesterol problem. Maximum respondents (80%) agreed that health insurance is burden for them. About 51% teachers had no idea about health insurance. However, there was no significant relation in between educational status and health insurance perception for male and female teacher respondents. Moreover, the comparative data highlighted that more awareness and more exploration might be needed in health insurance perception for primary school teachers. This result can contribute to form people’s choice-oriented health insurance policy.

Low academic performance in science subjects has continued to characterise primary education in sub–Saharan Africa, despite several interventions by stakeholders. This study investigated the influence of teachers’ preparation for teaching and learning on pupils’ academic performance in mathematics and integrated science in Kigumba town council in Uganda. It used a cross-sectional survey design with a sample size of 180 teachers and pupils from both government-aided and privately funded schools. Interviews were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics was used to determine teachers’ level of preparation for teaching and learners’ level of academic performance, while a regression model was used to establish the influence of teacher’s preparation on pupils’ academic performance. Findings indicate that teachers’ level of preparation was generally good and significantly (P<0.05) influenced by their teaching experience and access to insurance. Furthermore, academic performance in mathematics and integrated science was significantly influenced by teacher preparation (P<0.05) arising from lesson planning, updating learners’ discipline records, and creativity. In conclusion, teachers need to continue being creative, planning lessons on a daily basis, and updating learners’ discipline records in order to improve pupil performance. In turn, the government needs to provide teachers with insurance coverage, e.g., health insurance, in order to free more of their time for lesson preparation. The study informs education and economic planning policies

<p style="text-align: justify;">Taiwan has been promoting its national health insurance (NHI), which provides people with appropriate medical resources; however, health insurance education is missing from schools, and teachers lack relevant teaching abilities. This study describes the development of the health insurance education empowerment program (HIEEP) to promote effective teaching on educators. A two-group parallel-controlled trial was conducted with health education teachers, in which participants learned to discuss its importance through demonstration and practice. The questionnaire measured their teaching effectiveness in HIEEP using a baseline measurement and a one-week follow-up measurement. Of 196 people that started the trial, 186 completed it. The intervention effects were evaluated using the Johnson-Neyman method. The results showed that in the experimental group, the program raised all teachers’ variable scores, which evaluated health insurance meaning, teaching competence, self-determination, and impact. The empowerment program can provide teachers will allow for more effective health insurance education.</p>

Education insurance is a type of insurance that provides protection the cost of education to the cost of children's education. The aim of this study to determine the effect of knowledge and religiosity on interest using education fund insurance at sharia insurance companies in the teachers in one of the senior high schools in North Sumatra are partially good or simultaneously. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The population of this study was conducted on teachers in one of the one Senior High School in North Sumatra with a sample of 65 teachers. Using primary data by distributing questionnaires and analytical methods multiple regression using hypothesis testing. The results of this study simultaneously from the variables of knowledge and religiosity have a significant effect on significant to interest. Then partially knowledge variable too has an effect on interest and the variable of religiosity itself also has an effect significantly on the interest in using education fund insurance in Islamic insurance company. Background: Teachers are more likely to use a loud voice at work than the general working population, but few longitudinal studies have been conducted on their risk of voice disorders. The occurrence of voice disorders in private school teachers was assessed by using the Longitudinal Health Insurance Database 2000 of Taiwan, which contains information on a random sample of 1 million beneficiaries of National Health Insurance. Methods: This study included private school teachers who were under 35 years old and newly employed between 2000 and 2010, and used workers with other occupations as the comparison cohort. Patients with voice disorders were identified using diagnostic codes on insurance claims. Cox proportional hazards regressions were applied to obtain relative risk estimates. Results: After adjusting for age, sex, income, and comorbidities of sinusitis and laryngitis, private school teachers had a higher risk of developing voice disorders (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.58; 95% confidence intervals: 1.43–1.75). In addition, the finding that elementary and high-school teachers had a higher risk than college teachers (HR: 2.56 vs. 1.44) and the pattern of increases in cumulative incidence over time supported a dose–response relationship between teaching and voice disorders. Conclusions: Private school teachers had higher risks of voice disorders. The results support the causality between occupation and voice disorders in teachers.

Insurance is a way or method to maintain humans in avoiding risks, various dangers that will occur in their lives, in the course of their life activities or in their economic activities. Sharia insurance is a business that protects and helps each other between several parties through investments in the form of assets or tabarru' which provides a pattern of returns used to deal with certain risks through contracts in accordance with sharia principles. This study aims to determine the relationship between perceptions and preferences of the profit sharing of mudharabah financing on the interest in becoming participants in sharia insurance for high school teachers of the Smart Pure Islamic Education Foundation, either partially or simultaneously. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The population of this study was conducted on teachers in one high school in Medan, North Sumatra with a sample of 65 teachers. Using primary data and distributing questionnaires and multiple regression analysis methods using hypothesis testing. The results of this study simultaneously from the variables of perception and preference for mudharahmusytarakah financing have a significant effect on interest. then partially perception and preference variables affect the interest in becoming a participant of sharia insurance. ABSTRACT According to the insurance data for the past ten years, the insurance rate and the penetration rate have been increasing. It seems that the public can accept the concept of insurance. Besides, the Financial Holding Law brings about the multi-developments of the financial surroundings, which causes diverse insurance products as well as many chances for people to take out insurance policies. With the changes of the social and economic environments, the teachers’ salary and pension system have been adjusted. The salary reaches the above average. The retirement pension system is changed into Defined Benefit Plan instead of the superannuation. Their retirement is more safeguarded than other general people’s. The study aims at discussing the teachers’ attitudes toward insurance and the factors which affect their decisions to take out insurance policies. The results indicate that the penetration rate of insurance reaches up to 90% no matter whether the study is analyzed in terms of sex, seniority, marriage status, and majors. Life and medical insurances take up most percentage. The annual premium is between NT$10,000 and NT$50,000. The teachers take out insurance policies through insurance brokers, their friends, or relatives. Four factors which influence the teachers’ decisions to take out insurance policies are as follows: the concept and purpose of insurance, propaganda the insurance companies deliver, whether the social insurance can satisfy their needs, the financial investments. The first factor reveals that the teachers recognize that the insurance not only protects them and their family but also improves the quality of the retirement. Second, TV commericials exert the inflence on them but can’t change their mind. Third, the teachers believe that the social insurance can’t satisfy their needs. Fourth, they acknowledge that insurance is one of the financial investments. The study results propose some suggestions to the government and the insurance companies in order to adapt the laws and to innovate the insurance policies. This study is aimed to investigate the financial management and the concept of insurance of the government employees and teachers. In order to realize how insurance industry manage the business of he government employees and teachers, we analyze the need of financial management through summarizing the merchandises that offered by the insurance industry. We take qualitative research method such as SWOT analysis, Five Force Model analysis, and interview with managers in insurance company to study the development and the difficulty of the insurance industry in the government employees and teachers. From SWOT analysis, we know the advantages of insurance industry are “get the customer family background and career information” and “rich experience in long-term asset management”; the disadvantages are “people have a lack of financial expertise” and “too late to enter the market than the banking sector”; the opportunities are “people gradually accept the concept of professional financial services” and “people’s asset are growing up”; the threatens are “wealth management in banks are already experienced” and “foreign private banks activate the business market”.

In recent years, accidents happening in PE classes have been constantly reported. While holding PE teachers responsible to a certain degree, putting the blame on teachers exclusively not only harms the trust and feelings between parents and teachers, the subsequent legal liability and compensation have also been a source of panic and pressure on PE teachers. In risk management strategies, those of retention, reduction and mitigation are most commonly used by PE teachers. However, faculty liability insurance, the transfer of liability policy after the accidents, has been employed less. In this study, after collecting relevant literature,this researcher tries to infer the factors that influence teachers’ willingness to purchasefaculty liability insurance. Those factors include the teaching personnel of awareness of liability risks for PE teachers, facilities and equipments, legal and medical issues, and the degree of involvement of liability insurance. This researcher sends out 295 questionnaires to municipal junior high schools in Taichung (including complete schools) and gets 241 back, among which 236 are valid ones. The methods of analysis are descriptive statistics, independentsamples t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and levels of statistical methods such as regression. As the results of this research indicate, when it comes to PE teachers, their perception of teaching staff, legal, and medical liability risks has positive influence on pruchasing faculty liability insurance. The involvement of faculty liability insurance also has positive effect on purchasing such insurance. Once again, the involvement of faculty liability insurance interferes PE teachers’willingness to purchase faculty liability insurance andtheir perception of teaching staff, legal, and medical liability risks. According to the aformentioned results from this paper, in the end this researcher will give related advice respectively for junior high school PE teachers, insurance companies, and researchers on this topic for their future reference. Outdoor education is one major part of the curriculum and teaching in the school, however, there exists some risks which are unpredictable or man-made hidden in the outdoor education. It is necessary that the risk evaluation and management of the outdoor education should be strengthen, and at the same time, the fact that teacher may be forced to face a liability risk of claims is needed to pay more attention on it. The purpose of this studying aims to realize the outdoor education responsibility risk perception and the effect of purchasing intention affected by the policy insurance cognition of the primary school teachers. The subjects of this experiment are the public elementary school teachers in Nantou county. All the 480 questionnaires are issued and 419 valid questionnaires were collected. The results derived by Descriptive Statistics, Independent-Sample t Test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation and hierarchical regression include the following: 1.The outdoor education responsibility risk perception of the primary school teacher has a significant positive impact on the purchase intention of staff liability insurance. 2.The policy Insurance cognition has a significant positive impact on the purchase intention of staff liability insurance. 3.The student group insurance considered in the relationship between the outdoor education responsibility risk perception and the purchase intention of staff liability insurance has no significant interference. 4.The public liability insurance considered in the relationship between the outdoor education responsibility risk perception and the purchase intention of staff liability insurance has a significant interference. Finally, based on the results in this studying, we present some concrete suggestions for the use of concerned department and researcher in future study.

With the change of time and modern people’s life style and diet habit, the population suffering from cancer is increasing year by year. Since 1982, cancer has ranked the number one for the top ten causes of death in Taiwan for 29 years. From the perspective of risk management, cancer insurance becomes more important. Therefore, even the elementary school teachers with more stable jobs and incomes should be aware of the cancer. This study aims to probe into cancer insurance cognition and purchase behavior factors of elementary school teachers in Nantou County. After literature review, the researcher designed the “Questionnaire on cancer insurance cognition and purchase behavior factors of elementary school teachers in Nantou County”, as a research tool for questionnaire survey. By SPSS 12.0 for windows, data analysis was conducted. The statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, reliability analysis and inference statistics (independent sample t test, One-Way ANOVA, Scheffe''s Method, Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise regression). According to the purposes of this study, literature review and analytical result, the conclusions are shown below: 1. Analysis of current situation of cancer insurance cognition and purchase behavior factors of elementary school teachers in Nantou County finds that the perception of two dimensions is “medium to high”. 2. As to personal background variables, cancer insurance cognition of elementary school teachers in Nantou County has a significant difference on marital status, working years, position, economic situation and number of family cancer insurance cases. It does not show significant differences on gender, age and educational level. 3. As to personal background variables, purchase behavior factors of elementary school teachers in Nantou County only has significant differences on gender and marriage. It does not show significant differences on age, working years, educational level, positions, economic situations and number of family cancer insurance cases. 4. “Attitude toward personal health maintenance” of cancer insurance cognition reveals the highest degree of correlation with the dimensions of purchase behavior factors; “cancer insurance types” of cancer insurance cognition reveals the lowest degree of correlation with the dimensions of purchase behavior factors. 5. “Attitude toward personal health maintenance” of cancer insurance cognition reveals the highest prediction on three dimensions of purchase behavior factors. “Overall purchase behavior” can predict “overall cancer insurance cognition”. According to conclusions, this study proposes the suggestions as the references for educational authority of Nantou County, elementary school teachers in Nantou County and future studies.

The main purpose of this paper is using theory of planned behavior to study the purchase intentions of long-term care insurance among elementary school teachers’ and simultaneously examine the effect of attitude, subjective standards, and perceived behavioral control on the behavior tendencies. Different from the previous studies, this paper applies the insurance company’s corporation images element,and uses multiple regression analysis to verify the elementary school teacher’s intentions to purchase long-term care insurance. The empirical results show a significant positive correlation among the factors.Insurance companies shall pay attention to their corporation images to enhance the policyholders purchase intentions.

This study looks to understand the purchase of liability insurance by the senior high school, junior high school and elementary school teachers in Tainan City, analyzing the difference between the risk perception and implementation status, risk management awareness, liability insurance awareness, and the buying intention of liability insurance of the physical education teachers under different background variables. After collecting relevant literature, this study identifies the factors of the teaching staffs’ buying intention of liability insurance, including the factors of physical education teachers’ risk perception and implementation for physical education courses, risk management awareness, and their liability insurance awareness. In addition, a self-designed questionnaire called “Research on the teaching staffs’ purchase of liability insurance – Take the senior high school, junior high school and elementary physical education teachers in Tainan City for example” was used as a research tool. After distributing the questionnaires to various senior high school, junior high school and elementary school physical education teachers in Tainan City in the form of a GOOGLE Form, we recovered the questionnaires and reviewed them one by one, eliminating invalid questionnaires that were not completely answered, and a total of 109 valid questionnaires were recovered. Based on the data from the valid questionnaires, statistical methods such as the descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, independent sample t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe method, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation and regression were used to analyze the data. The results of this study show that there were significant differences in answers regarding different background variables, the physical V education teachers’ risk perception and implementation status of physical education courses, risk management awareness, liability insurance awareness, and their buying intention of liability insurance, especially for the courses they were teaching. This study also finds that the physical education teachers’ risk perception and implementation status of physical education courses, risk management awareness, and liability insurance awareness have a positive impact on the teaching staffs’ buying intention of liability insurance. In particular, the higher the teaching staffs’ liability insurance awareness is, the higher their buying intention of liability insurance will be. Finally, this study proposes relevant suggestions according to the above research conclusions for reference.

The quality of life in Taiwan has been significantly improved since 1995, when National Health Insurance(NHI)initiated. Nevertheless, NHI report states that people generally overuse medical resources by going to more doctors, requiring more examinations, and taking more medication than they used to. The study applies Spritzer’s empowerment theory into teachers’ empowerment module for NHI education. There were 100 teachers in the experimental group and 86 teachers in control group. A quasi-experimental, pre-test/post-test research design was also used in this study. The research result showed that the experimental group in all variables scores were higher than pre-test score, and this result didn’t showed in the control group; Through Johnson-Neyman technique to analyze , while "meaning " pre-test cores below 9.61 (85%) , "competency" pre-test cores below 9.46(91%) , "decision-making" pre-test cores below 9.73 (95%) , "influence" pre-test cores below 6.23 (72%) or “NHI knowledge” pre-test cores below 6.83 (85%), that’s post-test scores will be significantly higher than the control group scores. The process of teacher empowerment which was summed up by “experiencing powerlessness” , “gaining NHI awareness” , “learning new curriculum goals” and ”making contributions” inferred that teachers felt frustrated with the issue of health insurance at the beginning; however after participating the curriculum, they clarified many previous myths, brought new opinions on promoting health care education and affected more teaching partners with their enthusiasm. Finally, the psychological empowerment theory based on this study can take as a reference in the future to adjust teachers’ learning needs, enhance the effectiveness of teaching in school, and promote NHI education programs as well. Furthermore, this study is a model to modify the local NHI programs in the future.

According to the Constitution of the Republic of China (Taiwan): The State, in order to promote social welfare, shall establish a social insurance system to ensure people living stability and promote health safety.Current National Health Insurance, following the principles of the Constitution and Social Safety, its character is social insurance and also the social assistance.Therefore the health insurance not only achieves income redistribution, but also allocates medical resources rationally. The government brings up 2nd generation National Health Insurance System as reforms recent years trying to solve the financial in-balance difficulty due to aging of population, improvement of medical technology, and increase of health insurance coverage items. However, under the disputes of the society voices, only levying "the supplementary premium" is passed, which includes annual bonus, part-time income, income from professional practice, stock dividend, interest earning, and rental. Its aim is to extend the health insurance premium basis to maintain the financial balance. Since there are many controversies about 2nd generation Health Insurance System, this research is to discuss current health insurance system recognition and satisfaction from interviewees from elementary teachers in Wen-Shan District, Taipei, with different background, by the method of questionnaire. From the research we have following conclusions: 1. Despite of different background of interviewees, they have the common recognition of health insurance. 2. Interviewees lack the basic acknowledgement about 2nd generation of Health Insurance. 3. Interviewees have high satisfaction with the whole health insurance system. 4. Part of the National Health Insurance System measure low satisfaction. 5. Males and Females show obvious difference perspectives regarding Health Insurance satisfaction. 6. Interviewees who are levied supplementary premiums have less satisfaction with Health Insurance.This research suggests authorized units could hold a Teacher Research and Study Conference of 2nd generation Health Insurance, and to introduce health insurance in an understandable way to strengthen their knowledge of health insurance and to promote the fairness in premium sharing, and to training teachers. In this way, we believe elementary teachers would have positive thinking about 2nd generation National Health Insurance.

Because the influence of international condition, social environment and social current, the traveling demand changes into personal basic requirement of modern populace gradually. However, the rapid change of environment and the fast development of technology also make the people's risk that live in normal time increases constantly. Travelers also face the similar problems which the risk increases in the journey. Therefore, using the insurance reduces, disperses or avoids the loss when the accident occurs becomes the effective way that the people to protect the life and the property security. According to “The investigation report of citizen tour condition”, people whose incoming around thirty to one hundred thousand and have a holiday for 2 days every week who spend the most time to travel. It also shows that serviceman, official and teacher occupy crown of the domestic traveling probability in 12 occupation categories. We make a selection of the elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung to do close ended questions test. Then we carry on descriptive statistics, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Chi-Square test and logistic regression model to the valid questionnaires to understand the current conditions of the insurance consumption of the teacher in Kaohsiung. The advanced analysis also observed the relationship between the consumption behavior and the personality, lifestyles, populations and travel risk perception. We analyzed 869 valid questionnaires (from 1,250 random samples), it showed that 67% invited teacher insured the tour insurance actively. And the personality, lifestyles and travel risk perception of the elementary school teachers really affect to the specific items of travel insurance consumption.

The monograph deals with the transformation of the insurance business in the conditions of digitalization. The logic of scientific analysis is based on the impact of digitalization on all environmental systems of the insurance business, which, in turn, require the transformation of all aspects of the insurer's activities. The scientific analysis of the usefulness of insurance services is given, the influence of digitalization on the formation of information flows and business processes in the insurance business is considered. The experience of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey in the development of digitalization of the insurance market is summarized, development problems are formulated and a number of practical recommendations are given. A significant block of material is devoted to the analysis of social aspects of the insurance business, including the tasks and opportunities of insurance organizations in the formation of sustainable development. The problems of ensuring the quality of insurance services in the conditions of digitalization, regulatory activities in this area, protection of the interests of the consumer of insurance services are considered. New approaches to training personnel for the insurance market are considered, domestic and foreign experience is summarized. The results of a study of the use of digital technologies at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and partner universities are presented. For a wide range of readers interested in insurance problems. It can be useful for students, postgraduates and teachers of economic universities.

In 1905, concerned about the poverty that seemed the common fate of retired teachers, he gave the then colossal sum of$10 million to fund the pensions of teachers at thirty universities. By 1918, it had become clear that the financial requirements for such a plan necessitated both teacher and employer participation and a larger financial organization. As a consequence, the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (“TIAA’’) was incorporated and licensed as a New York life insurance company.

Abstract Korea introduced a series of social security programs proposed by the International Labor Organization (ILO) from the 1960s, but the need for institutional reform is emerging due to its severely low birth rate and aging population. The foundation of Korea’s income security system is the special occupational pension, which includes civil servants, soldiers, and private school teachers, and the national pension, which covers most citizens except for these special occupational pension. The national pension and basic pension form the core of Korea’s public pension system, and improvements in preparation for the aging population are being seriously discussed. Currently basic security is provided by the National Basic Livelihood Security Program. The livelihood security benefit, a core benefit of public assistance, is limited to persons meeting certain criteria, and the Korean Employment Insurance System is a compulsory social insurance system introduced in 1995. Work Injury Insurance (WII) was launched in 1964, and benefit levels of Korea’s WII are considered fairly good compared to other countries. Ten types of benefits, including the medical care benefit, are provided.

In order to be successful in school, children must be able to see and hear and must be free of troubling health problems. Our experience with community schools confirms the idea that locating health services within a school provides easy access for students who are not receiving health care elsewhere. However, many problems, such as working with children who lack health insurance and typically end up in the emergency room for episodic care, have to be overcome. More and more of these children and their parents in our schools are recent undocumented immigrants who fear dealing with the health care system. An even larger number of children are simply from “working poor” families in which parents work off the books or for employers that do not or cannot provide health insurance. For those families who are enrolled in public health insurance plans (most typically Medicaid), having that insurance card in hand does not necessarily provide access to care if the family does not know how to negotiate the health care system. Adolescents raise another issue altogether. It has been well documented that adolescents are the largest group of uninsured children. They generally want help with issues they do not want anyone to know about, such as birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, and depression and suicidal thoughts. However, they can, and do, access school-based health centers (SBHCs) for these health needs. The goal of SBHCs is to improve the overall physical and emotional health of children and adolescents. They do this in two important ways—by providing prevention services and by providing direct health care. The majority of school-based clinics are started by a health care provider who has approached a particular school and formed a relationship with the school’s administrators. Such SBHCs are organizationally external to the school system, administered by local health care facilities such as hospitals and community health centers. Once the clinic is in the school, constant outreach to administrators, teachers, and parents must be maintained to remind them that the health center is on-site. The biggest challenge such providers face is the integration of the health services with the activities of the school.

Abstract By Harold Perkin’ s account, it was during the period between 1880 and the First World War that ‘professional society’ finally and unequivocally ‘rose’. ‘By r9u,’ Perkin notes, ‘if we add the lesser professionals and technicians to the higher ones, the professions were 4. r per cent of the occupied population, not much short of the 4.6 per cent who were “employers” in the census of industrial status, and if we add “managers and administrators” the figure rises to 7.5 per cent, larger than the category of “employers and proprietors” (6.7 per cent).’ As significant as the overall increase in numbers was the degree of organization now to be found within the majority of professions. To the seven qualifying associations extant in 1800—two Royal Colleges, four Inns of Court for barristers, and the Society of Apothecaries—twenty had been added by 188o. In the period between 1880 and the First World War, by contrast, no less than thirty-nine further associations were formed: for chartered accountants, estate agents, insurance brokers, and so on. Several non-qualifying associations, such as the National Union of Teachers, also came into being, as did an ‘intellectual class’ consisting of ‘men of letters’, ‘men of science’, and university teachers.

Yoga in Britain has not been a linear development. Rather, old and new co-exist, adapting to suit the specific needs of a particular time and place. But as well as continuity of groups and teachers, have also been important changes. Much of the government funding for adult education was cut during from the 1980s. Ever flexible, practices called yoga slowly adapted into the neoliberally-flavoured private market place. In the early 1990s, the UK Sports Council recognized yoga as a ‘sports activity’ and eventually designated a transformed British Wheel of Yoga as its ‘governing body’ for this purpose. Meanwhile a variety of accreditation bodies sought to establish qualifications and insurance provision in the newly commercialised marketplace. Multi-style commercial yoga studios became established in metropolitan centres and a vigorous style of yoga practice based on a flowing sun-salutation sequence known as Astanga Vinyasa Yoga gained popularity, addressing the needs of a new generation of practitioners.

Based on the main purpose of this study, the authors consider on how to plan, organize, secure, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of online learning goals and objectives. The chapter aims to explore whether the various forms of early adversity are risk factors for criminal behavior among young adults leading to youth crime and juvenile delinquency. The objective of this study is to take into consideration adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in understanding youth crime and juvenile delinquency from a criminal behavior perspective among the youths. Through secondary qualitative data, this study demonstrates numerous risk factors associated with a youth’s probability of joining a gang, revealing that the process of entering a gang begins in childhood and progresses through district development stages. Negative life events and fear or experiences of victimization have been linked to joining a gang. Certain family circumstances have been shown to significantly predict gang involvement, including a lack of health insurance, the jailing or imprisonment of a household member, and foster care placement—all of which are considered ACEs. The results of this study suggest that a focused effort on early identification of ACEs, and intervention for ACEs to improve youth life circumstances and prevent criminal behavior, may reduce the likelihood of and costs related to juvenile criminal activities. Primary prevention efforts should be tailored to meet the needs of parents, teachers, health professionals, and law enforcement.

Confusingly for our purposes, TIAA-CREF labels this type of annuity the “TPA.” As you read the literature, do not mistake this option with the Transfer Payout Annuity (also called the “TPA”), the process by which funds move out of a traditional TIAA accumulation over a ten-year period. For clarity’s sake, we will refer only to the Transfer Payout Annuity as the “TPA” and use the full name for the Teacher’s Personal Annuity. Low income earning workers such as the teachers in the public secondary schools, are faced with varying categories of financial risk which cannot e alleviated without the help of some other social arrangement such as micro-insurance schemes. However, these scheme has not been well accepted among the teachers. The study however, looked at the reasons for the low acceptability. A stratified simple random sampling technique was used to collect data from a sample of 384 secondary school teachers in Lagos state, using regression analysis techniques. Adequate knowledge and well structured products designs of the micro-insurance products does not influence the acceptability of the products among the teachers. The study result however, shows that not making the products compulsory is the major factor that influence the acceptability among the teachers. ABSTRACT Recognizably the teachers’ profession is important in shaping the knowledge and skills of youth. At equal importance is teachers’ satisfaction and motivation related to their professional activity for overall quality outcomes in the education process. Certainly, in the past, also in the modern time, the teachers’ role is incredibly significant and linked to the prosperity of a nation. The aim of this study was to take a glance in Physical Education (PE) Teachers’ satisfaction in relation with their professional activity. Participants in this research study were (N=88) PE teachers from various levels of professional qualification, who led classes in physical education and sports in the Albanian school system. A modified questionnaire with 22 items related to satisfaction with the teaching profession was applied. The statistical instruments for this study were: descriptive analysis, factor analysis principal component analysis. The following five factors related to the satisfaction of the profession were identified: (a) professional relations, (b) professional development and educational reforms, (c)organization working conditions, (d) social working conditions, (e) salary, and insurance. The items with the highest values were: - professional relations with colleagues, professional relations with school management, evaluation of school management at work, and opportunities to participate in the education and personal development of youth. In contrast, the items with the lowest values were the amount of payment, working conditions and facilities for educational activity, reforms in education, social and health insurance. This study found that factors related to internal educational setting and professional environment have the greatest impact on teachers’ satisfaction. On the other hand, external factors contribute to teachers’ dissatisfaction such as salary, health insurance, working conditions, facilities, and reforms in education.

The COVID19 pandemic is an unprecedented event that has sent shockwaves into almost all areas of our lives. Education is one of the most vulnerable sectors. Overnight, crude adjustments of curricula, teaching methods and tools had to be made. Digital learning became a reality. Higher education in Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) field is highly affected because of the tight connection to the industry. Site visits, practical trainings in companies and face-to-face interviews with OSH professionals present a valuable part of the study programmes dedicated to safety. University teachers face challenges coming with digital era in OSH education and training.The OSHDIGIT project aimed to support the teachers in delivering effective digital education and training in OSH. The systematic framework of the project was derived from the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu). The main project objectives were to enhance digital pedagogic competencies of university teachers in OSH discipline by giving them practical guidance and training and to equip them with OSH e-resources and tools for the use in digital learning.Three main outputs have been achieved. First are e-guidelines for teachers: to navigate them in various digital tools (E-tools guide on Padlet platform), to implement blended project-based learning (Blended PBL guide) and to protect their health and well-being within the process of digital education (Wellbeing guide). The second outcome presents an e-platform for sharing existing OSH e-resources (e.g. online lectures, videos, games and quizzes) for university-level teaching and training of future OSH professionals and specialists. The last but not least output are tailor-made e-tools such as workplace simulations, site visits and commented risk assessments from real workplaces, videos from occupational hygiene measurements, interviews with OSH professionals and interactive presentations on current OSH topics. All the outputs are freely available via Erasmus+ platform.The project activities were accompanied by roundtable discussions, focus groups and training workshops. The project fostered knowledge transfer and sharing of good practices and innovative approaches in OSH digital learning among universities, insurance companies, enterprises and professional networks. OSHDIGIT approach contributed to EU initiatives addressing enhancement of the quality in higher education in the area of occupational health and safety.

Universities are scientific-pedagogical institutions where teaching and research take place, and outputs of tertiary education are qualified gradu­ates for the needs of social practice in the labour market. In Slovakia, the subsi­dy for wages and insurance premiums is the largest part of the financial subsidy provided from the state budget for universities, which is earmarked. Since 2011, this subsidy has been derived from the performance of a specific university, which is quantitatively expressed based on the number of students, the imple­mented teaching and outputs of publication and project activities. The main aim of this paper is to evaluate the development of selected indicators in the context of the financing of higher education institutions in Slovakia. Research data were collected from various sources; data available in the DataCube da­tabase and from the schedules of subsidies of the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic for universities. Data on universities, their financing and uni­versity teachers’ salary conditions were evaluated using methods of time se­ries analysis with the prediction of development in the future. Findings indicat­ed changes associated with the efficiency in the utilization of monetary assets at universities. Analyses also include current years, which are referred to as dis­ruptive times and are characterized by global economic problems.

Contemporary technological progress was possible on the background of rapid internet access, geographical spreading which has facilitating not only the rapid transmission of vast amount of data but also not so honest storage, use and transmission of this big amount of data. Internet access needs credentials, and frequently credentials are linked to personal data that nowadays can be considered priceless. That is why the protection of personal data must be a priority for the universities. Why new data protection regulation? Why students and employee data are so important? Why and how to protect all these big amounts of data? How to implement new data protection regulations in universities? From all these questions, we start to analyze the actual and future legal environment regarding data protection in order to identify the best practical cyber security solutions. The analysis will start from the replacement of Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and national regulation with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Intention is to identify the way universities will approach data privacy in order to collect, store and transmit data on students or teachers and in what measure the selected approach will affect educational and research processes. Role of human factor have also been considering in the framework of new regulations, with the focus on necessary relations grid around Data Protection Officer. The analysis will go further with the considerations regarding the place of cyber insurance process in the institutional grid, which is involved in the data protection process, on the one hand, and the necessary resources for implementing the new regulations.

The primary and pre-primary's school teacher improvement in the area of information and communication technologies competences has a major contribution over the improvement of the educational system, the main goal being a society in which accessing information and being highly qualified are an insurance of the economic growth - this is one of the top priorities of the training programs for the general teaching staff. This activity implies having a teacher who's "armed with ICT instruments" not for using them as a goal (aim?), but especially for integrating them into the educational process with obvious formative and educational effects. As a course and tutorial author for pedagogical disciplines included in the initial training programs of the future teaching staff, I consider that enhancing the value of information and communication technologies is a part of an intercession of several other different strategies. The experiential learning has represented one of the most profound ways of approaching the process of familiarization and access for these technologies, from an instrumental perspective.The acceleration of the integration process and effective promotion of the new communicational and informational technologies must be regarded through the need of psycho-pedagogical and pedagogical substantiation of what represents the process of development of transferable competences and structures and of the mental operations supposed by the actual opportunities of professional development. This study represents a meta-reflexive exercise for identifying the main bench marks and the opening areas towards applicability and success in the information and communication technologies space for the initial and continuous training of the teaching staff from the primary and pre-primary educational environment.

There are many ways to present information to visitors and users of 2D and 3D interface environments. In these virtual environments we can provide visitors with simulations of real environments, including simulations of presenters in such environments (a lecturer, a sales agent, a receptionist, a museum guide) and including audience participation in these environments. Our research aims at generating presentations from available multimedia information. In particular, we would like to see the generation of presentations by embodied conversational agents that employ verbal and nonverbal capabilities. In the past we have seen the introduction of embodied agents and robots that take the role of a museum guide, a news presenter, a teacher, a receptionist, or someone who is trying to sell insurance, houses or tickets. In all these cases the embodied agent needs to explain and to describe. The automatic generation of presentations and presentation agents from information sources is still too ambitious a task. Therefore we look at research from the perspective of the design of tools that can support presenters or can help to provide natural access to presentations and lectures. Can we use a given collection of sheets and maybe other accessible media sources to design, create and generate an embodied presenter? Among others we discuss manual annotation of available information and the way in which presenter agents can use it. Clearly, the development of tools for these purposes is a first step towards automating the generation of presentations and presentation agents.

The paper studies the process and means of forming the professional competence of students of TEI, which are an important structural element for the formation of effective activities at relevant institutions. The interpretation of the concept of the categories “personality competence”, “competence” and “web-quest” is analyzed. Problem quests concerning theoretical and practical training of students, and procedures of internship practice on professional specialization are investigated. The pedagogical conditions of creation of professional competence of students in the preconditions of professional and practical training are studied. The model of organization of professional competence of the perspective specialist-graduates of TEI is formed and the ways of reorganization of educational process and organizational-methodical insurance are defined. It has been established that the quality of education at TEI largely depends on the method of formation of the educational process, the chosen forms and methods. The role and basic objectives of the preliminary preparatory work on the part of the teacher are formed. It has been investigated that the web-quest is unanimously recognized as a motivational, resource-oriented technology that forms the course of creative potential of the student, which guarantees the effectiveness of all types of educational process and ensures the creation of appropriate professional competence of students.
