Анотація:
Petr Pokorný (1933-2020) was a long-time professor of New Testament at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague. He authored a number of books and studies in which he dealt directly and indirectly with hermeneutical issues important for the proper understanding and reliable interpretation of the biblical text. In 2005, in collaboration with 12 other authors, he published a kind of hermeneutical compendium, or rather a modality of the hermeneutical approach to Scripture, entitled Hermeneutics as a Theory of Understanding from Basic Questions of Language to the Interpretation of the Bible (508 pages). Part of Pokorný's Hermeneutics (pp. 17-215) was published in 2011 in the English translation Hermeneutics as a Theory of Understanding. Pokorný did not intend to present the traditional history of hermeneutics or to create a foundational theoretical work. As he notes, he was initially inspired by Paul Ricoeur and his hermeneutical practice, but developed his own stance based on his own understanding of the problems of interpreting Scripture and his critical reflections. He admits that he does not address some of the issues of hermeneutics and that there are several ways to process the material of hermeneutics. Therefore, his work can be considered as hermeneutic modalities rather than a finished compact hermeneutic work. Nevertheless, in Professor Pokorný we can read a lot of useful and rich material from different areas of hermeneutics, such as: Language as a coding system, symbol and metaphor, text between tradition and future, reader and text, genre, various methods of interpretation, strangeness and attractiveness of texts, history and revelation, revelation and testimony, etc. Based on this hermeneutical set and other exegetical works, the reviewer attempts to highlight these modalities and provide a definable picture of Pokorný hermeneutical approaches and procedures.

Abstract This article explores an emerging hermeneutic of participation arising from the feminist-Pentecostal dialogue. For many, Pentecostal and feminist hermeneutics appear incompatible. Further examination reveals the possibility of dialogue originating from their pneumatological, canonical, narratival, and anthropological hermeneutical convictions. This is reinforced through shared theological values, anthropological convictions, and common history. This feminist-Pentecostal dialogue yields a hermeneutic of participation marked by orthodoxy, orthopathy, and orthopraxy. Ultimately, this hermeneutic of participation fosters discipleship and the flourishing of the Church.

This article presents the results of the observations about digital literacy that were studied philosophically through Gadamer's hermeneutic approach. The reason for using this approach is to achieve an understanding of how the subject and its history play a role in the digital literacy process, where ontologically, the content of information has been visualized into the digital world so that a philosophical understanding is needed in understanding the virtual reality. This research is included in the classification of qualitative research with an analysis with three stages, namely reducing data that is very general and broad in a more specific form, and relevant to digital literacy and hermeneutics; then classifies the dimensions of digital literacy so that it is easy to determine the dimensions of the hermeneutics; interpret digital literacy to clarify the dimensions of hermeneutics in it, and concludes and draws relevance to efforts to overcome hoaxes. The results obtained from this study are on a hermeneutical analysis of the process of digital literacy as a catalyst for peace, that equalizing the elimination of discrimination at the historical-ego level can be achieved through the application of hermeneutical digital literacy that is by promoting dialectical historical understanding, where contemporary history dialecticism with the history of the past which is often claimed by certain groups as the heyday and the fruit of their work.Artikel ini mempresentasikan tentang hasil observasi peneliti tentang literasi digital yang dikaji secara filosofis melalui pendekatan hermeneutika Gadamer. Adapun alasan penggunaan pendekatan tersebut yakni untuk mencapai sebuah pemahaman tentang bagaimana subjek dan kesejarahannya berperan di dalam proses literasi digital, di mana secara ontologis, konten informasi telah divisualisasikan ke dalam dunia digital sehingga dibutuhkan pemahaman yang filosofis di dalam memahami realitas virtual tersebut. Penelitian ini masuk ke dalam klasifikasi penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis dengan tiga tahap yaitu mereduksi data yang bersifat sangat umum dan luas ke dalam bentuk yang lebih spesifik, dan relevan dengan literasi digital dan hermeneutika; selanjutnya mengklasifikasikan dimensi literasi digital sehingga mudah untuk ditentukan dimensi hermeneutikanya; menginterpretasikan literasi digital dalam rangka memperjelas dimensi hermeneutika di dalamnya; serta menyimpulkan dan menarik relevansinya dengan upaya menanggulangi hoax. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah pada sebuah analisis hermeneutis tentang proses literasi digital sebagai katalis perdamaian, bahwa penyetaraan penghapusan diskriminasi pada tataran ego-historis dapat dicapai melalui penerapan literasi digital yang bersifat hermeneutis yakni dengan mengedepankan pemahaman kesejarahan yang dialektis, di mana sejarah masa kini didialektikakan dengan sejarah masa lampau yang seringkali diklaim oleh kelompok-kelompok tertentu sebagai masa kejayaan dan buah kerja mereka.

Hermeneutic phenomenology is a research method used in qualitative research in the fields of education and other human sciences, for example nursing science. It is a widely used method example in Scandinavia, and Van Manen is well known for his hermeneutic phenomenological method. In many studies the hermeneutic phenomenological method is inarticulate or ambiguous. Researchers generally lack a common understanding of what this method actually is. One reason for that is that the expression “hermeneutic phenomenological method” is contradiction in terms. Hermeneutics and phenomenology have their own distinct history. Hermeneutics and phenomenology as philosophical disciplines have their own distinct aims and orientations. Hermeneutic is orientated to historical and relative meanings. Phenomenology in Husserlian sense is orientated to universal and absolute essences. Martin Heidegger connects hermeneutics and phenomenology in very sophisticated manner as hermeneutical phenomenology and he provides a very specific definition of his brand of phenomenology. For Heidegger, hermeneutical phenomenology is the research of the meaning of the Being as a fundamental ontology. However, this kind of phenomenology is of no use for educational qualitative research.

Анотація:
This study aimed to describe William Dilthey's hermeneutics and show its relevance to the study of Islamic history. This research is interesting to do when looking at the relationship between hermeneutics and Islamic studies, in the mainstream, it is in normative Islamic studies. This study used descriptive analytical methods to describe the ins and outs of Dilthey's hermeneutics and the relevance of this hermeneutic in Islamic studies. The results showed that historical Islamic studies can utilize three elements in Dilthey's hermeneutics, namely Erlebnis (world of inner experience), Ausdruck (expression of life) and Verstehen (understanding). In addition, historical Islamic studies can also take advantages of the three conditions in Dilthey's hermeneutics, namely descriptive psychology, hermeneutical circles and socio-cultural knowledge.

The article is devoted to the definition of the features of historical hermeneutics, the development of the concept of "understanding" within the pedagogical hermeneutic method; the inseparable connection of the theory of understanding and hermeneutics is shown; the path of the formation of hermeneutics as a direction of history has been followed and the vision of understanding by different researchers is considered. The question of the expediency of expanding the traditional means and methods of historical science at the expense of hermeneutics was violated. Such hermeneutical arsenal was used as attention to the historical text, the disclosure of its meaning (explicit and implicit), the use of practical hermeneutic knowledge in the process of studying the evolution of historical hermeneutics, pedagogical conditions and technologies that provide this understanding are considered. The role of pedagogical culture of teachers as the main factor of understanding is given. The relationship between education, personality and socio-cultural environment and its influence on the processes of understanding are considered. The survey makes it possible to conclude that the process of understanding is a complex methodological problem that is studied from different sides by hermeneutics, pedagogy, semiotics, history, psychology, sociology, and a number of other sciences. At the same time, the task is not to contrast all of these methods and approaches, but to reasonably combine and supplement them in order to obtain as the most accurate, complete and comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of the problem of understanding. The profound transformations that have taken place in modern society have put science and history in particular, in the face of the obvious fact of rethinking a large number of issues raised by the current needs of a new state of socio-economic and socio-cultural relations.

The study of literature is signed by an inherent and important activity within it, i.e. interpretation. The activity of literature appreciation and literature criticism, both of its periphery and its orifice, deals with literature studies that should be interpreted. Every interpretation activity of literature works always involves in a hermeneutical process. Hence, hermeneutics occupies a crucial position and it is impossible to disregard it in the analyis of the literature works. Based on that explanation, hermeneutics is something important to discuss comprehensively in order to obtain sufficient understanding. Hermeneutics developed in the literature interpretation deals closely with the development of hermeneutical thoughts, especially on the history of philosophy and theology because it begins to appear from these two subjects. To understand hermeneutics in the literature interpretation, it is necessary to comprehensively understand the history and the concept of hermeneutics, especially dealing with three variants of hermeneutics which develop in the tradition of modern hermeneutics: methodological or theoritical hermeneutics, philosophical hermeneutics, and critical hermeneutics. by understanding these three variants, it enables us to have sufficient understanding on hermeneutics in the literature studies.

Анотація:
The 21st history of the Qur`an sees the scripture’s contiguity with the social media technology. This paper discusses the hermeneutical configuration of the Qur`an commentary in social media, not as religious phenomena in sociological or anthropological perspective, but rather as a study of the history of exegesis. The inquiry addresses two points: the character of the Qur’an commentary presented in Facebook within the context of the modern Qur’anic commentary and the effects it carries out. The paper suggests that digital hermeneutics emerges as the step forward for popularizing commentary with its simple and straightforward presentation. Accordingly, people are now closer to Qur`anic interpretation than ever before, and therefore the upsurge of semantic function of the Qur`an is observed. At the same time, digital hermeneutics marks the phenomena of equality and democratization of participation in hermeneutical activity and the challenge on authority.[Sejarah Al-Quran abad ke-21 ditandai dengan perkawinan kitab suci ini dengan teknologi sosial media. Paper ini mendiskusikan bangunan hermeneutis tafsir Al-Quran di sosial media, bukan sebagai fenomena keberagamaan dalam nuansa sosiologis dan antropologis, melainkan sebagai studi sejarah tafsir. Ada dua hal yang dikaji: tentang karakter tafsir Al-Quran yang muncul di Facebook dalam konteks tafsir modern dan pengaruh yang dimunculkannya. Hermeneutics is one of the keys out of the problematic understanding of the text, when the text is understood by only a few circles and is considered less appropriate to the current context, because it is not easy to interpret the classical books that are the hold of life, and are limited by the ages from its descent to in the present. Gadermen and Fazlur Rahman offer a concept of hermeneutics that both refer to the history of the text, and reconstruct the new understanding they analyzeby relating it to the current social context.Gadermen prefers to make hermeneutics an ontological basis, which is based on deep thought, while Fazlur Rahman makes hermeneutics a methodology in the function of ijtihad. Key Words : Gadamer, Fazlur Rahman, Hermeneutic Hermeneutika menjadi salah satu kunci keluar dari problematika pemahaman terhadap teks, disaat teks dipahami hanya oleh beberapa kalangan saja dan dianggap kurang sesuai dengan konteks saat ini,karena memang tidak mudah untuk menginterpretasikan kitab klasik yang menjadi pegangan hidup, dan terbatasi oleh zaman dari mulai turunnya sampai pada masa sekarang.Gadermen dan Fazlur Rahman menawarkan konsep hermeneutika yang sama-sama mengacu pada historis teks tersebut, dan merekontruksi pemahaman baru yang mereka analisis dengan mengaitkannya pada konteks sosial saat ini.Gadermen lebih pada menjadikan hermeneutika sebagai ontologis yaitu berdasarkan pemikiran yang dalam, sedangkan Fazlur Rahman menjadikan hermeneutika sebagai metodologis dalam fungsi ijtihad. The foundation of the modern State of Israel in 1948 is commemorated by countless Palestinians as a day of „catastrophe.‟ Many Palestinian Christians claim that it was also spiritually catastrophic as the characters, names, events, and places of the Old Testament took on new significance with the newly formed political state and thereby caused vast portions of the text to be abandoned and unusable in their eyes. The present dissertation investigates this issue and asks, “How do Palestinian Christians read the Old Testament in light of the foundation of the modern State of Israel?” “Is it markedly different from that which preceded it?” “And what is the solution to the problem?” These questions form the basis of the present dissertation, “Palestinian Christians and the Old Testament: Hermeneutics, History and Ideology.” Chapter 1 introduces the dissertation. Chapter 2 looks at the basic elements of contemporary Palestinian Christian hermeneutics of the Old Testament, outlining the opinions of Naim Ateek, Mitri Raheb, Naim Khoury, Yohanna Katanacho, Michel Sabbah, and Atallah Hanna (Hermeneutics). Chapters 3-5 examine the degree to which Palestinian Christianity has developed and PCHOT has changed over the years (History). Chapter 3 looks at the years prior to 1917 and analyzes among other things the views of Chalil Jamal, Seraphim Boutaji, and Michael Kawar. Chapter 4 then surveys the years between 1917 and 1948, and chapter 5 reviews the years since 1948. Chapters 6-7 then look at how Palestinian Christians might read the Old Testament in the future (Ideology). Chapter 6 examines proposals made by Michael Prior, Charles Miller, and Gershon Nerel. Chapter 7 then outlines this author‟s own hermeneutic and provides an in depth analysis of Deuteronomy 7. Chapter 8 concludes the dissertation and proposes a way forward for Palestinian Christians and their reading of the Old Testament.

This thesis offers a positive reinterpretation of the relevance of Isaiah Berlin’s political thought. It re-examines his work hermeneutically with the double aim of claiming its intrinsic relevance as a work of political theory beyond what most critics have acknowledged, first; and second, with the intention of using it to draw conclusions that will address some of the most pressing discussions found in contemporary liberal political theory, such as the conflicting link between value pluralism and liberalism, or the recent confrontation between political moralism and political realism. This is achieved by reading Berlin hermeneutically, and thus transcending the categorical differentiation between historical and philosophical methods in his work. The argument is presented in three sections. The first one is a biographical introduction that acts as a methodological statement. In it, the dilemma on the nature of values that sits at the heart of Berlin’s work is defined by reference to his biographical context. The second section of the thesis is formed by three chapters that look at the central philosophical aspects of Berlin’s political thought: value pluralism and a neo-Kantian normative ethical theory that emerges in relation to it. By claiming a relationship between Berlin and Kant, and by presenting value pluralism as a meta-ethical theory, the thesis offers an alternative reading of Berlin’s work that deviates substantively from most existing scholarship. The third section of the thesis compares Berlin’s political interpretation of value pluralism with that of Bernard Williams and John Rawls, in order to claim that liberal theory demands a hermeneutic method in its justification. This will show the enduring relevance of Berlin’s contribution to political theory as one that expands beyond his own historical moment, against what many commentators have argued. It also raises a strong claim on the crucial implications of method in political theory, calling for a more hermeneutic approach.

In Dred Scott v. Sandford, Chief Justice Roger Taney spoke for the majority of the United States Supreme Court to declare that Blacks were not constituent members of the American political sovereignty, but rather they were “beings of an inferior order, altogether unfit to associate with the white race” and they “had no rights which the white man was bound to respect.” Through engaging in a critical inquiry of constitutional hermeneutics, Blacks looked to the Constitution to deduce their collective identity. However, when they looked in the constitutional mirror, they saw a broken reflection. By evaluating the existential dichotomy of the African-American self-identity revealed in the responses to the Dred Scott decision, this research argues that the African-American self-identity was broken by the Supreme Court’s declaration that they were neither citizens nor people under the Constitution; however, in the face of the Dred Scott decision, the African-American self-identity used the very document which denied their right to exist, to galvanize a unique identity capturing their oppression, and the hope to realize their deprived liberty.

First contrary to the received interpretation which sees Collingwood's later work. exemplified by the essay on Metaphysics, as accepting complete historical rclatiyism. I argue that the Metaphysics is better understood within the contcxt ofhcImcneutics. and how careful consideration of his henncneutics of history can havc helpful and Illuminating theological applications. Both 'absolute presuppositions' and the controversial notion of 'unconscious thought' function as a critique of subjectiyism. The second avenue investigates the status of the doctrine of re-enactment. In common with recent research I argue that the doctrine is best understood as a transcendental condition of history. Collingwood is, therefore, clarif)ing the conditions for an understanding of the past, rather than providing the historian \\1th a method. I argue that re-enactmcnt is a 'grammatical' investigation into the nature of the historical object and 1 support this argument by a detailed account of the linguistic nature of Collingwood's philosophy. Following the school of anal~1ical philosophy of history, I argue that re-enactment is a thesis about historical explanation as opposed to explanation by general law s. An argument against the limitation of re-enactment to the bounds of historical explanation fonns the third avenue of research. While the doctrine is certainly an e:xample of historical explanation. there is too much evidence pointing to its henneneutical dimension to leave the issue there. 1 argue that Collingwood anticipates man~ of the themes common to the henneneutics of Hans-Georg Gadarner. and I attempt to systematize these using Gadarner as the yardstick. This study is an examination of Master Yinshun's hermeneutics. It focuses especially on his interpretation of the Buddhist concept known as the tathagatagarbha, which refers to the idea that all sentient beings intrinsically possess the "womb of the Buddha." In some explanations of this teaching, the tathagatagarbha is symbolic of the practitioner's potential for attaining enlightenment. In others, it functions as a synonym for the Ultimate and becomes the eternalistic substrate for all of existence. It is this latter view to which Yinshun takes exception, seeing it as antithetical to the doctrine of emptiness which espouses the notion that all things, including ideas, material objects, and living beings, lack a permanent and independent nature and thus cannot possess an unchanging, eternalistic form. I focus particularly on Yinshun's text A Study of the Tathagatagarbha , for it serves as a concise statement of his interpretation of the tathagatagarbha and its relationship to emptiness. In this text, Yinshun continually asserts the doctrine of emptiness as the definitive expression of Buddhist truth and relegates the tathagatagarbha to the category of expedient means. He does this by examining the development of the tathagatagarbha emphasizing particularly its evolution within pre-Mahayana and Mahayana textual sources said to have had their genesis in India such as the Agamas , the Perfection of Wisdom Sutras and the Ratnagotravibhaga. For Yinshun, to regard the tathagatagarbha as the ultimate truth rather than as an expedient means can only result in misguided practice and confusion about how to attain enlightenment. I conclude by asking a number of general questions about Yinshun's thought and its relationship to the early to mid-twentieth century intellectual milieu in China. I also inquire about how Yinshun's ideas have contributed to the development of contemporary Chinese Buddhist movements flourishing in Taiwan today.

This research aims at examining biblical hermeneutics in Bembaland, Zambia. Home to 4.8 million people, 50%-75% of whom are nominally Christian and 44% Catholic, with literacy levels at 61.4%, this thesis explores the interplay of orality and scribality in the Bembaland experiences of biblical hermeneutics. The terminus a quo of this thesis is that the shift in preferred medium from orality to scribablity in Bembaland affected not only hermeneutical understandings of the Bible, but also the broader social praxis. This can be identified in changed ways both of thinking and the derivation of meaning, both in terms of heteroglossal interpretation and the patterning and understanding of authority. The terminus ad quem of the thesis is that rather than hold orality and textuality in an antithetical binarism, it is more fruitful to pursue a negotiated and hybrid approach which holds oral and textual poetics in constructive symbiosis. In making this argument, rather than calling in the hermeneutical bulldozer of one single method, our approach is to unlock the Bemba experiences using a bricolage of analytical tools which have included contextual fieldwork, postcolonial critique, communication theory, spatial theory and linguistic analysis. In particular, the argumentation is alert first to the deconstruction of textual interpretations authored by the dominant and literate elite; secondly, the silencing of colonized 'others' as subjects of their own history; thirdly, the emancipation of misued biblical passages through hermeneutics of suspicion, retrieval, restoration and transformation. As a worked example, I have proposed a negotiated, oral-textual and hybrid hermeneutics of Rom 13:1-7. The outcomes of the 'oral-scribal' analysis undertaken partially echo McLuhan's famous phrase, 'The medium is the message.' The evidence suggests that there has been a tectonic shift in the biblical hermeneutics of Bembaland. Succinctly, this may be characterised principally by the move from oral/aural to chirographical/typographical media management in which communication and space were utilised as a means of exerting power and control. In the particular Bemba context of << Ubufumu e busosa >> - 'Royalty is constituted by speech' the effect is seismic since tribal authority has hitherto been constituted by the spoken rather than the written word. Thus informed, the research proposes a rebalancing of this destabilizing shift using two metaphors. Firstly, hearing/reading the word under an African tree as << Teleela Mulumbe >> ['Hear the news'} has the potential to open up what James Maxey has referred to as the oral ethos of the Bible in a context that is still characterised by residual orality; secondly, hearing/reading the word in Terra Nullius, ['unclaimed land'] where both oral/textual media hybridity and community hybridity are the catchwords. In like manner, this allows for border-crossing or 'transgressive hermeneutics' that is meta-gendered and trans-ethnic in its redemptive power.

The monograph is devoted to the problem of formation and development of this branch of the division of hermeneutics as a political hermeneutics. Considered as the very origins of this hermeneutic stemming directly from the history of classical hermeneutics (Chapter 1) and its methodological principles (Chapter 2) and application characteristics (Chapter 3). It is from this triad (history — theory — practice) by the author and displayed the Foundation of political hermeneutics, which seems to them as the "deep method" study of the essence of the political elites and elitism and is characterized as a methodological division of lithologie to uncover the political "backstage" as the main sphere of professional activity of non-public elites. In the formation of hermeneutical understanding, it is important to clarify the internal relationship of this triad as a "language — word — text". The author consistently reveals the idea that language is expressed in the word exactly the same as the word in the text, which in turn is designed for disclosure in another language and in another word (in the "I — don't-Ya"). Designed for students and professionals; anyone interested in the problems of political consciousness and thinking of the elites.

Philo of Alexandria (ca. 20 B.C.E. -50 C.E.), or Philo Judaeus as he is also called, was a Jewish scholar, philosopher, politician, and author who lived in Alexandria and who has had a tremendous influence through his works (mostly on the Christian exegesis and theology). Today hardly any scholar of Second Temple Judaism, early Christianity, or Hellenistic philosophy sees any great imperative in arguing for his relevance. After the research (contribution) of V. Nikiprowetzky in the field of philonic studies, it seems that the prevailing view is that Philo should be regarded above all as an “exegete “. Such an opinion in one way or another seems to neglect to some extent Philo's place in the History of philosophy. This article defends the position that Philo should be considered primarily as a “hermeneut”. Emphasizing that the concept of hermeneutics has a broader meaning (especially in the context of antiquity) than the narrower and more specialized concept of exegesis.

Выдающийся немецкий филолог и философ Фридрих Шлегель (1772–1829) в ситуации философской революции рубежа XVIII–XIX вв. постарался соединить эти две позиции в одну, что и стало предметом анализа автора статьи. in the philosophy of the history of the twentieth century, a twofold tendency can be distinguished. On the one hand, the classical philosophy of history is subjected to radical criticism (in German philosophical hermeneutics, French structuralism and poststructuralism, English-speaking analytical philosophy), and on the other hand, it continues and develops in various concepts and theories (S. Huntington's "clash of civilizations", "end of history" F. Fukuyama). Such duality (criticism of the philosophy of history and its development) is not a characteristic only of our modernity. The outstanding German philologist and philosopher Friedrich Schlegel (1772–1829), in the situation of the philosophical revolution at the turn of the 18th–19th centuries, tried to combine these two positions into one, , which became the subject of the analysis of the author of the article.

This article is about defining Philo’s place in the history of philosophy and biblical exegesis. In this connection, his own self-identification as a “hermeneut” in his treatise De Animalibus should be important. In this treatise, which is one of the “purely philosophical works” of the author, Philo himself twice explicitly states that he is a hermeneut (Alex. 7; 74). In this case, it is unlikely that he means “interpreter of Scripture”, and the question is to what extent does the translation “interpreter” cover the meaning of hermeneut (ἑρμηνεὺς)? An attempt will be made to read this statement of Philo in the context of his understanding of ἑρμηνεὺς in other places in his work related to biblical exegesis, as well as in the context of the overall ancient understanding of hermeneutics.

This paper explores the relevant knowledge in philosophy, psychology, art theory, and visual culture dealing with the phenomenon of the spectator. Spectatorship is explored through complex relationships between authors, works, observers, and the environment, which condition the view and consider how social and cultural patterns mediate the image. In this approach, interest is no longer primarily focused on the visual object but on visuality, a complex set of conditions in which a work of art is created, observed, and interpreted, researching the history of the gaze theory: perception and its physiological and cultural conditioning, the implicitness of the observer in the aesthetics of the reception, psychoanalytic theories about the constitution of the subject with a gaze, feminist ideas of voyeurism, and the male gaze, theories on technological and cultural conditioning of the scopic regimes, the cultural history of gaze and the gaze politics that approach viewing as possession of power. An analysis of the theory shows that the role of the body as a perceiving mechanism is present in the naturalistic approach to observation but is avoided due to its subjectivity and relativity. Although it was created in the 1960s, the theory of gaze has roots in the hermeneutics of art history and the aesthetics of reception. The cultural determination of gaze, its dependence on social norms, and the technological conditions of the medium indicate that our view of art and the visual world has been learned, which opens spaces for the acceptance of other gazes that are equally valuable.

China is the subject of Western criticism for its supposed disregard of the rules-based international order. Such a charge implies that China is unilateralist. The aim in this study is to explain how China does in fact have a multilateral approach to international relations. China’s core idea of a community of shared future of humanity shows that it is aware of the need for a universal foundation for world order. The Research Report focuses on explaining the Chinese approach to multilateralism from its own internal perspective, with Chinese philosophy and history shaping its view of the nature of rules, rights, law, and of institutions which should shape relationships. A number of case studies show how the Chinese perspectives are implemented, such as with regards to development finance, infrastructure projects (especially the Belt and Road Initiative), shaping new international organisations (such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank), climate change, cyber-regulation and Chinese participation in the United Nations in the field of human rights and peacekeeping. Looking at critical Western opinion of this activity, we find speculation around Chinese motives. This is why a major emphasis is placed on a hermeneutic approach to China which explains how it sees its intentions. The heart of the Research Report is an exploration of the underlying Chinese philosophy of rulemaking, undertaken in a comparative perspective to show how far it resembles or differs from the Western philosophy of rulemaking.

The basic principles of functioning of this model of journalism in the western press and in Ukraine are given. The list and features of activity of the organizations, institutes and editorial offices supporting development of journalism of solutions journalism. The purpose of the publication is to describe the Solutions Journalism model: its features, characteristics and features of functioning, to find out the difference in the understanding of the concept of «solutions journalism» and «constructive journalism» in general. The task of the publication was to conceptualize the main trends in the development of solutions journalism in the Western and Ukrainian information space; show the main characteristics, formats of functioning and analyze the features of the concepts of «solutions journalism» and «constructive journalism». Applied research methods: at the stage of research of the history of formation of the concept of Solutions Journalism the historical method is used. The hermeneutic method of research helped in the interpretation of basic concepts, the phenomenological approach was applied in the context of considering the essence of the phenomenon of solutions journalism. At the stage of generalization of the features of the concepts of Solutions Journalism and «constructive journalism» a comparative method was used, which gave an understanding of the common components in their essence. The method of analysis allowed to expand the understanding of the purpose of Solutions Journalism as a type of social journalism and its main tasks. With the help of synthesis it was possible to comprehensively understand the concept of Solutions Journalism and understand its features. In Ukraine, this type of journalism is just emerging, but its introduction into the editorial policy of the media may have a national importance. These are regional and local media that can inform their communities about the positive solution of certain problems in other communities, and thus thanks to this model can save local journalism. In the scientific context, there is a need to outline the main differences in the understanding of the concepts of decision journalism and constructive journalism, to understand the socio-psychological need to create good news.
