Анотація:
This study aims at validation of the power regulation parameter for electric railway vehicles for effective use of electrical potential of energy sources. Based on analysis of electromagnetic processes with the use of suggested energy parameters and mathematical modeling method the assessment of energy efficiency was performed for semiconductor power regulators for alternating and direct current electric traction drives. Power balance and obtained mathematical equations for calculation of its components allow improving the education content of educational institutions due to eliminating methodological inconsistencies. The suggested technical solutions for continuous and full use of the electrical potential of overhead systems and self-generated power supply sources ensure their advantage in terms of structure, energy efficiency and electromagnetic compatibility.

The renewable energy take part in the most of the electric power systems in the modern world. The part of this type of energy in the global electric power system, as well as in the local scale, increases with the setting the stricter requirements for decreasing the level of the carbon dioxide emissions. This is the result of the newest international conventions and decision for saving the nature. By these conditions, the electric power systems are forced to work with more different types of energy sources: wind power, photovoltaic, biomass plants etc. Switching of such miscellaneous power sources, leads to complicated transient processes, which are developed due to specific electrical parameters, especially harmonic components, of the synchronous generators, photovoltaic and wind power plants. This paper represents data from measurements of the transient processes into the physical model of the electric power system with predominant part of renewable energy and assesses the applicability of the model. For conducting this study, the multichannel DAQ measurement system is used.

Analysis of the electromagnetic processes is organized beside this article in electric circuit with semiconductor commutator . Mathematical model is created for analysis electro-magnetic processes in semiconductor converter with width pulsed regulation of the output voltage. The broughted graphs, which reflect the electromagnetic processes in electric circuit. Method much parametric functions was used when performing calculation. The mathematical model of the converter is created for eleven zoned regulations of the output voltage. Article is devoted to the development of a method of multi-parametric modulating functions by means of working out of new mathematical models and definition of functions and the algorithmic equations for the analysis on sub- system components of electromagnetic processes in electric circuits of variable structure with sinusoidal, direct and pulsing voltage. Introduction of functions with discrete parameters in the algorithmic equations for analysis of processes in circuits with semiconductor commutators simplifies modeling on subsystem components. The mathematical model of steady-state processes and transients in electric circuits of semiconductor converters of modulation type with multi-channel zonal use of phase and line voltages of a three-phase network of power supplies is developed. The mathematical model of electric circuits of thyristor shapers of electro-discharge pulses for the analysis and the matching of capacitors charging modes with decrease several times of electric resistance of technological load is also created. The obtained results have a great value for development theoretical electrical engineering in a direction of simplification of calculations of electromagnetic processes in electric circuits with semi-conductor converters of the electric power. The Electromagnetic processes in electric circuit under width- pulse regulation possible to analyse with use the algorithmic equations multivariable function, which argument are a system parameters semiconductor commutator, signal of control, phases to network of the power supply and time. Introduction multivariable function with discrete parameter in algorithmic equations of the analysis formed and connecting processes in electric circuit of the variable structure allows to reflect change of this structure under system components, simplifying modeling and analysis of such processes to account of the generalization of the got equations. Except specified correlations and diagrams designed model allows to analyse forms of the output voltages and current of the separate power modules.

Voltage and current are sharply variable random (stochastic) processes in traction networks of DC electric transport systems. As a result, electronic and hybrid electricity meters used in electric systems measure electric power with a large relative error that significantly exceeds that of their accuracy class. In this paper the principle of developing smart meters for accounting the electricity transmitted from traction substations to electric rolling stock through a traction network is proposed. Proposed ideas are developed on the basis of the random processes correlation theory. The meter operates in real time and monitors not a set of realizations of random voltage and current processes, but their deterministic characteristics, that is, time functions of mathematical expectations and variances which make up the background of its operating principle. The experimental implementation of the proposed principle has been conducted in the feeder zone of an A-B section of the GisDnieper Railway of Ukraine, where registration and processing of realizations of stochastic voltage and current processes obtained in real operation mode has been done. The ratios obtained for active and reactive power can be applied not only for traction power grids, but also for electric networks of external power supply of DC electric traction systems as the basis for the “smart meter” design.

Manufacturing processes, as used for discrete part manufacturing, are responsible for a substantial part of the environmental impact of products, but are still poorly documented in terms of environmental footprint. A thorough analysis on the causes affecting the environmental impact in metal forming processes, especially the innovative but very energy intensive sheet metal forming technologies required to form light-weight products, is nowadays necessary. Therefore, this paper presents an energy consumption analysis, including a power and time study, of Single Point Incremental Forming (SPIF) processes. First, the influence of the most relevant process parameters (e.g. feed rate, step down) as well as the material forming itself are analysed regarding the power demand. Moreover, a comparative study and related energy efficiency assay are carried out on two different machine tools. As the forming time proves to be the dominant factor for the total energy consumption, from environmental point of view, the overall results show many similarities with conventional machining processes. Finally, this paper reports on some potential improvement measures to reduce the SPIF energy consumption.

The article deals with the main methodological aspects of the metrological provision of information and measurement systems in transport infrastructure projects. The object of study is the means of information-measuring systems of electric power objects of transport of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to study the metrological provision of information and measurement systems at electric power facilities, in particular transport, which allow to solve many problems related to registration of operating modes of power systems, determination of electrical and time parameters, finding damage on power lines, diagnostics of electrical equipment and others. The research method is a systematic analysis of the metrological assurance of reliable, economical and high-quality operation of electric power objects due to the introduction of synchronized measurements on large electric power objects at large electric power objects. The regulatory framework for metrological support is the State Standards and other documents of the State System for Ensuring Unity of Measurements, the relevant normative documents of the State Standard of Ukraine, methodical instructions and recommendations. The technical basis is the system of state standards and standard measuring instruments, which ensures their reproduction with the highest accuracy; a system of working standards and exemplary measuring instruments by means of which the sizes of units of physical quantities are transferred to the working measuring instruments. As well as a system of standard samples of the composition and properties of substances and materials, which ensures the reproduction of units, composition and properties of substances and materials. The purpose of metrological support is to improve quality, increase production efficiency, use of material values and energy resources, as well as scientific research. The most effective way to improve the reliability, economy and safety of power equipment is to use methods and techniques for technical diagnostics. Due to the use of monitoring systems for monitoring and diagnostics of the electrical parameters of the electric power objects of the railways, both the renewal time of the power supply (associated with the restoration of train traffic) and the corresponding economic losses caused by emergency shutdown are minimized, as well as the costs associated with the operational repair works to eliminate the effects of damage. The characteristics of digital registrars and monitoring systems offered by the leading manufacturers in the electricity market are regulated by international standards. The made comparisons of the accuracy of measurements of different devices for recording the parameters of the modes show similar indicators and confirm the possibility of using the system of monitoring the mode parameters in the problems of estimating the state of power systems. The results of the study can be used in technological processes in transport infrastructure projects when using digital devices as a measurement tool for parameter control and monitoring of electric networks both in Ukraine and abroad. The problem of the influence of meteorological factors on electric power networks continues to be relevant. For the safe fulfillment of their purpose, electric power networks as an element of the electric power system must guarantee the safety, stability and efficiency of the electric power supply process. To solve the above problems, it is necessary to make decisions based on meteorological observations, since the safety of electric power networks depends on the timely forecasting of meteorological factors. The study examines the possibility of system integration of the process of ensuring the safety of electric power networks and the process of monitoring meteorological factors. In order to increase the level of safety of electric power networks, it is proposed to use a geo information system that collects, processes and transfers meteorological data.

The mathematical model of the converter is created for five zoned regulations of the output voltage. Using method multivariable function was found current and voltage of the load, as well as input currents of the converter. The load of the converter has actively inductive nature. This study examines the effects of 10 years of river regulation on the sediments and sediment transport processes within the gravel-bedded River North Tyne. The North Tyne was regulated following the closure of Kielder dam in 1981. Since 1984, the releases from Kielder reservoir have been dominated by the generation of hydro-electricpower. The work combines a long term review and re-survey of pre-regulation sediment and bathymetric databases, with measurements of contemporary sedimentological and sediment transport processes. This has involved the application of a range of techniques designed to characterise the bed morphology and sediments. These included two new techniques for determining the structure and strength of gravel-bed surfaces. The results of these surveys revealed subtle changes in the grainsize composition of riffle sediments, characterised by an increase in the frequency of coarse particles at the surface, and the accentuation of bed structure and particle compaction. This has resulted from a process of hydraulic winnowing sustained as a result of the high shear stresses experienced on riffles during the passage of the hydropower release wave. Direct measurements of sediment transport using a range of tracing and trapping techniques identified a sediment flux divergence between riffles and pools. During rising discharges, sediments are selectively restrained by bed structure on riffles, whilst pool sediments become competent in the order pool-head, mid-pool, pool-tail. This generates a queuing system for sediments culminating at high discharges in the evacuation of the pool-tail to the downstream riffle. The presence of bed structure on riffles presents a surface of higher particle entrapment probability; the net result of which is lower particle velocities over riffles than in pools, and a subsequent choking of riffles with pool sediments. The interaction of the regulated flood waves and the riffle-pool morphology produces riffle degradation and pool-tail aggradation, although at rates much lower than in a neighbouring regulated river. Hydropower releases retard the rates of aggradational channel change caused by the reduction of flood magnitude. However, historical evidence suggests that catchment sediment supply is variable through time, and should new supplies be accessed, major channel changes should be anticipated, particularly at the tributary junctions. The results of this study have direct implications for the management of game fisheries in regulated rivers, and for understanding the relationships between flood waves and sediment transport in morphologically diverse channels.

[ES] La naturaleza aleatoria que caracteriza algunos fenómenos en sistemas físicos reales (e.g., ingeniería, biología, economía, finanzas, epidemiología y otros) nos ha planteado el desafío de un cambio de paradigma del modelado matemático y el análisis de sistemas dinámicos, y a tratar los fenómenos aleatorios como variables aleatorias o procesos estocásticos. Este enfoque novedoso ha traído como consecuencia nuevas especificidades que la teoría clásica del modelado y análisis de sistemas dinámicos deterministas no ha podido cubrir. Afortunadamente, maravillosas contribuciones, realizadas sobre todo en el último siglo, desde el campo de las matemáticas por científicos como Kolmogorov, Langevin, Lévy, Itô, Stratonovich, sólo por nombrar algunos; han abierto las puertas para un estudio bien fundamentado de la dinámica de sistemas físicos perturbados por ruido. En la presente tesis se discute el uso de ecuaciones diferenciales algebraicas estocásticas (EDAEs) para el modelado de sistemas multifísicos en red afectados por perturbaciones estocásticas, así como la evaluación de su estabilidad asintótica a través de exponentes de Lyapunov (ELs). El estudio está enfocado en EDAEs d-index-1 y su reformulación como ecuaciones diferenciales estocásticas ordinarias (EDEs). Fundamentados en la teoría ergódica, es factible analizar los ELs a través de sistemas dinámicos aleatorios (SDAs) generados por EDEs subyacentes. Una vez garantizada la existencia de ELs bien definidas, hemos procedido al uso de técnicas de simulación numérica para determinar los ELs numéricamente. Hemos implementado métodos numéricos basados en descomposición QR discreta y continua para el cómputo de la matriz de solución fundamental y su uso en el cálculo de los ELs. Las características numéricas y computacionales más relevantes de ambos métodos se ilustran mediante pruebas numéricas. Toda esta investigación sobre el modelado de sistemas con EDAEs y evaluación de su estabilidad a través de ELs calculados numéricamente, tiene una interesante aplicación en ingeniería. Esta es la evaluación de la estabilidad dinámica de sistemas eléctricos de potencia. En el presente trabajo de investigación, implementamos nuestros métodos numéricos basados en descomposición QR para el test de estabilidad dinámica en dos modelos de sistemas eléctricos de potencia de una-máquina bus-infinito (OMBI) afectados por diferentes perturbaciones ruidosas. El análisis en pequeña-señal evidencia el potencial de las técnicas propuestas en aplicaciones de ingeniería.

Afortunadament, meravelloses contribucions, realitzades sobretot en l'últim segle, des del camp de les matemàtiques per científics com Kolmogorov, Langevin, Lévy, Itô, Stratonovich, només per nomenar alguns; han obert les portes per a un estudi ben fonamentat de la dinàmica de sistemes físics pertorbats per soroll. En la present tesi es discuteix l'ús d'equacions diferencials algebraiques estocàstiques (EDAEs) per al modelatge de sistemes multifísicos en xarxa afectats per pertorbacions estocàstiques, així com l'avaluació de la seua estabilitat asimptòtica a través d'exponents de Lyapunov (ELs). L'estudi està enfocat en EDAEs d-index-1 i la seua reformulació com a equacions diferencials estocàstiques ordinàries (EDEs). Fonamentats en la teoria ergòdica, és factible analitzar els ELs a través de sistemes dinàmics aleatoris (SDAs) generats per EDEs subjacents. Una vegada garantida l'existència d'ELs ben definides, hem procedit a l'ús de tècniques de simulació numèrica per a determinar els ELs numèricament. [EN] The random nature that characterizes some phenomena in the real-world physical systems (e.g., engineering, biology, economics, finance, epidemiology, and others) has posed the challenge of changing the modeling and analysis paradigm and treat these phenomena as random variables or stochastic processes. Consequently, this novel approach has brought new specificities that the classical theory of modeling and analysis for deterministic dynamical systems cannot cover. Fortunately, stunning contributions made overall in the last century from the mathematics field by scientists such as Kolmogorov, Langevin, Lévy, Itô, Stratonovich, to name a few; have opened avenues for a well-founded study of the dynamics in physical systems perturbed by noise. In the present thesis, we discuss stochastic differential-algebraic equations (SDAEs) for modeling multi-physical network systems under stochastic disturbances, and their asymptotic stability assessment via Lyapunov exponents (LEs). We focus on d-index-1 SDAEs and their reformulation as ordinary stochastic differential equations (SDEs). Supported by the ergodic theory, it is feasible to analyze the LEs via the random dynamical system (RDSs) generated by the underlying SDEs. Once the existence of well-defined LEs is guaranteed, we proceed to the use of numerical simulation techniques to determine the LEs numerically. Discrete and continuous QR decomposition-based numerical methods are implemented to compute the fundamental solution matrix and use it in the computation of the LEs. Important numerical and computational features of both methods are illustrated through numerical tests. All this investigation concerning systems modeling through SDAEs and their stability assessment via computed LEs finds an appealing engineering application in the dynamic stability assessment of power systems. In this research work, we implement our QR-based numerical methods for testing the dynamic stability in two types of single-machine infinite-bus (SMIB) power system models perturbed by different noisy disturbances. The analysis in small-signal evidences the potential of the proposed techniques in engineering applications.

A crise energética tem ganhado bastante visibilidade na sociedade, nas empresas privadas e também nos órgãos públicos, suscitando ações necessárias para a redução do consumo de água e de energia elétrica. A pesquisa procura identificar a problemática do consumo de energia elétrica, com suas causas e efeitos, no contexto da crise hidroelétrica brasileira. Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo geral analisar e discutir as principais ações que devem ser tomadas para se obter a redução do consumo de energia elétrica em ambientes competitivos. Para tanto, tem como objetivos específicos: fazer uma revisão na literatura sobre a gestão do consumo de energia e identificar um conjunto de critérios que permitam avaliar a gestão de energia; estudar os modelos relatados na literatura com a indicação de ações que contemplem o uso racional e eficiente da energia elétrica; aplicar no estudo de caso os critérios encontrados na literatura e propor ações de melhoria e gestão eficaz do consumo elétrico ajustado a um Instituto de Pesquisa de uma Autarquia Federal no Rio de Janeiro. Uma revisão da literatura nas bases Scopus e SciELO foi realizada para dar suporte à construção desse modelo. Foi utilizado um questionário para definir e classificar o conjunto de critérios que contribuem para a redução do consumo no modelo utilizado. Um grupo de especialistas foi formado para validar os problemas encontrados e opinar sobre as soluções propostas. O método da pesquisa é indutivo de natureza exploratória e descritiva com abordagem quali-quantitativa. Os resultados da revisão da literatura apontaram para nove critérios relevantes e mostram que é possível alcançar uma redução no consumo de energia a partir do estudo desses critérios e de sua correlação com as variáveis coletadas no estudo de caso. Os resultados obtidos do questionário que foi aplicado junto aos especialistas no estudo de caso excluíram os três critérios menos relevantes, através da aplicação do Diagrama de Pareto. A pesquisa contribui para o desenvolvimento de uma metodologia para avaliação de ações visando o uso racional da energia elétrica. Contribui também para ações de planejamento sustentável que possam auxiliar as tomadas de decisão nos níveis operacional e gerencial num contexto de crise hidroelétrica.
The energy crisis has gained considerable visibility in society, in private companies and also in public agencies, provoking actions necessary to reduce water and electricity consumption. The research seeks to identify the problem of the consumption of electric energy, with its causes and effects, in the context of the Brazilian hydroelectric crisis. This research has as general objective to analyze and discuss the main actions that must be taken to obtain the reduction of the consumption of electric energy in competitive environments. To do so, it has specific objectives: to review the literature on the management of energy consumption and to identify a set of criteria for assessing energy management; To study the models reported in the literature with the indication of actions that contemplate the rational and efficient use of electric energy; To apply in the case study the criteria found in the literature and to propose actions of improvement and effective management of the adjusted electric consumption to a Research Institute of a Federal Autarchy in Rio de Janeiro. A review of the literature on Scopus and SciELO bases was carried out to support the construction of this model. A questionnaire was used to define and classify the set of criteria that contribute to the reduction of consumption in the model used. A group of experts was formed to validate the problems encountered and to give an opinion on the proposed solutions. The research method is inductive of an exploratory and descriptive nature with a qualitative-quantitative approach. The results of the literature review pointed to nine relevant criteria and show that it is possible to achieve a reduction in energy consumption based on the study of these criteria and their correlation with the variables collected in the case study. The results obtained from the questionnaire that was applied to the experts in the case study excluded the three less relevant criteria through the application of the Pareto Diagram. The research contributes to the development of a methodology for the evaluation of actions aimed at the rational use of electric energy. It also contributes to sustainable planning actions that can aid decision making at the operational and managerial levels in a context of hydroelectric crisis.

The master's dissertation consists of an explanatory note and a graphic part. The explanatory note is made on page 216 of A4 format, which includes 87 chart and 75 figures. The graphic part contains 8 sheets or technical drawings of A1 format. In the master's thesis the project of the district electric network 110 kV and the electrical part of the substation 110/35/10 kV was executed. A startup project has been developed, issues of relay protection and labor protection have been considered. The application of ferroresonance processes is investigated.

The aerospace industry is beginning to grapple with the reality of certifying electric aircraft (EA), signaling the maturing of the field. Many players are ramping up their activities to respond to imminent technical, safety, and regulatory requirements. While there are gaps in EA knowledge as well as the processes for certifying them, some leading standards development organizations (SDOs) such as SAE International, ASTM International, and RTCA—ably supported by representatives from regulatory agencies—are stepping in to address many of these issues. Of special importance are the new rule changes in the normal category (14 CFR Part 23, Amendment 64) that shift from a prescriptive philosophy to “performance-based rules.” Regarding system knowledge, there has been a trend in the use electrical energy to power systems that have long employed mechanical hydraulics. In the new EA paradigm, these components will be employed at criticality levels not previously witnessed in conventional aircraft, calling for a specific set of certification demands. Unsettled Issues Regarding the Certification of Electric Aircraft tackles the certification challenges faced by EA manufacturers in both the small (normal) and large (transport) categories, addressing technical, business, and process issues.

The project objective was to more fully understand how the motion of pollen grains may be controlled by electrostatic forces, and to develop a reliable mechanized pollination system based upon sound electrostatic and aerodynamic principles. Theoretical and experimental analyses and computer simulation methods which investigated electrostatic aspects of natural pollen transfer by insects found that: a) actively flying honeybees accumulate ~ 23 pC average charge (93 pC max.) which elevates their bodies to ~ 47 V likely by triboelectrification, inducing ~ 10 fC of opposite charge onto nearby pollen grains, and overcoming their typically 0.3-3.9 nN detachment force resulting in non-contact electrostatic pollen transfer across a 5 mm or greater air gap from anther-to-bee, thus providing a theoretical basis for earlier experimental observations and "buzz pollination" events; b) charge-relaxation characteristics measured for flower structural components (viz., 3 ns and 25 ns time constants, respectively, for the stigma-style vs. waxy petal surfaces) ensure them to be electrically appropriate targets for electrodeposition of charged pollen grains but not differing sufficiently to facilitate electrodynamic focusing onto the stigma; c) conventional electrostatic focusing beneficially concentrates pollen-deposition electric fields onto the pistill tip by 3-fold as compared to that onto underlying flower structures; and d) pollen viability is adequately maintained following exposure to particulate charging/management fields exceeding 2 MV/m. Laboratory- and field-scale processes/prototype machines for electrostatic application of pollen were successfully developed to dispense pollen in both a dry-powder phase and in a liquid-carried phase utilizing corona, triboelectric, and induction particulate-charging methods; pollen-charge levels attained (~ 1-10 mC/kg) provide pollen-deposition forces 10-, 77-, and 100-fold greater than gravity, respectively, for such charged pollen grains subjected to a 1 kV/cm electric field. Lab and field evaluations have documented charged vs. ukncharged pollen deposition to be significantly (a = 0.01-0.05) increased by 3.9-5.6 times. Orchard trials showed initial fruit set on branches individually treated with electrostatically applied pollen to typically increase up to ~ 2-fold vs. uncharged pollen applications; however, whole-tree applications have not significantly shown similar levels of benefit and corrective measures continue. Project results thus contribute important basic knowledge and applied electrostatics technology which will provide agriculture with alternative/supplemental mechanized pollination systems as tranditional pollen-transfer vectors are further endangered by natural and man-fade factors.

The Smart Energy Design Assistance Center assessed the administrative, technical, and economic aspects of feasibility related to the procurement and installation of photovoltaic solar systems on IDOT-owned buildings and lands. To address administrative feasibility, we explored three main ways in which IDOT could procure solar projects: power purchase agreement (PPA), direct purchase, and land lease development. Of the three methods, PPA and direct purchase are most applicable for IDOT. While solar development is not free of obstacles for IDOT, it is administratively feasible, and regulatory hurdles can be adequately met given suitable planning and implementation. To evaluate IDOT assets for solar feasibility, more than 1,000 IDOT sites were screened and narrowed using spatial analytic tools. A stakeholder feedback process was used to select five case study sites that allowed for a range of solar development types, from large utility-scale projects to small rooftop systems. To evaluate financial feasibility, discussions with developers and datapoints from the literature were used to create financial models. A large solar project request by IDOT can be expected to generate considerable attention from developers and potentially attractive PPA pricing that would generate immediate cash flow savings for IDOT. Procurement partnerships with other state agencies will create opportunities for even larger projects with better pricing. However, in the near term, it may be difficult for IDOT to identify small rooftop or other small on-site solar projects that are financially feasible. This project identified two especially promising solar sites so that IDOT can evaluate other solar site development opportunities in the future. This project also developed a web-based decision-support tool so IDOT can identify potential sites and develop preliminary indications of feasibility. We recommend that IDOT begin the process of developing at least one of their large sites to support solar electric power generation.
