Анотація:
The paper presents an annotated parallel Slovene-English corpus developed in the scope of the EU ELAN project. The IJS-ELAN corpus was compiled to be a widely distributable dataset for language engineering and for translation and terminology studies. The corpus contains 1 million words from fifteen recent terminology-rich texts. The corpus is sentence aligned and word-tagged with context disambiguated morphosyntactic descriptions and lemmas. These descriptions model simple feature structures, the structure of which is shared between Slovene and English. The corpus is encoded according to the Guidelines for Text Encoding and Interchange and is freely available on the Web for downloading. Additionally, access to IJS-ELAN is available via a powerful Web concordancer.

Анотація:
The translation of English news means the process of converting news articles published in English into another language. These articles may also be referred to as English news. This process comprises understanding the substance of the source article and accurately translating its tone and intent into the target language. A human translator or machine translation software can be used to perform the translation manually. In the disciplines of software globalization and technological translation, the Human-Machine Mutual Translation technique has grown significantly with the advancement of civilization and the quickening growth of research and innovation. Because of this practical need, translators have begun to focus more on machine translation and have conducted some productive research in this area. As a result, we suggested the EUDICO Linguistic Annotator (ELAN) in Human-Machine mutual translation of English for the news. EUDICO stands for European Distributed Corpora Project. The Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics created the EUDICO Linguistic Annotator as a software program for the linguistic annotation of language data. For this study, the English news dataset was used. The data were pre-processed by using normalization. The results were evaluated using performance metrics such as translation quality, precision, BLEU, recall, and computation time. The findings show that the recommended procedure provides an accurate translation of English news when compared to previously used methods. The results demonstrated that translation quality and computation time of proposed model are 95% and 60s respectively.

Анотація:
Documenting the languages and cultures and managing the data is firm basis of the future interdisciplinary researches. This gains even more importance for endangered and unexplored languages. The paper deals with the issues connected to the usage of Modern Program Packages (Flex and Elan) vividly and professionally for interdisciplinary researches, advantages and unique abilities of them. The work provides the information about the principles of Doculinguistics and about the modern standards of documentation. The issue of fitting Georgian, as an agglutinative Language to the international standards so that its nature is truly revealed, appears to be a challenging task. The cooperative scientific project “Linguocultural Digiarchive” was implemented by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Frankfurt Goethe University. It was created using the modern framework standards of documentation and archiving in Elan and FLEx formats. FLEX is able to show the essential peculiarities of the language and to show the ways of fragmentation and the functions of morphemes: various existing wordforms, kind of gramma, semantic and pragmatic categories. FLEx as a modern package of managing the language data gives an unique opportunity to show the diversity of language materials and to synchronically and diachronically study a wide range of issues; to check the scientific hypothesis; to create new lexicons; to describe the paradigm of declension and conjugation; to create the grammar framework; to give automatic analysis of the data, to create a united standard.

Since the late 1990s, the technical group at the Max-Planck-Institute for Psycholinguistics has worked on solutions for important challenges in building sustainable data archives, in particular, how to guarantee long-time-availability of digital research data for future research.The support for the well-known DOBES (Documentation of Endangered Languages) programme has greatly inspired and advanced this work, and lead to the ongoing development of a whole suite of tools for annotating, cataloguing and archiving multi-media data. At the core of the LAT (Language Archiving Technology) tools is the IMDI metadata schema, now being integrated into a larger network of digital resources in the European CLARIN project. The multi-media annotator ELAN (with its web-based cousin ANNEX) is now well known not only among documentary linguists.We aim at presenting an overview of the solutions, both achieved and in development, for creating and exploiting sustainable digital data, in particular in the area of documenting languages and cultures, and their interfaces with related other developments.

Анотація:
Climate change causes water shortage (water scarcity) in addition to the dams built by neighboring countries, which caused a lack of Iraq's water share. Therefore, evaluating the irrigation system requires considering its suitability, adequacy, and efficiency. Irrigation is considered adequate when it maintains water availability within the root zone, and if the amount to be added is determined, irrigation efficiency becomes possible by avoiding water loss. Babil Governorate is considered one of the agricultural governorates in the country that depends on its irrigation from Shatt Al-Hilla. The study area is the Elaj project. Three fields were selected for the project (B1, B2, and B3). These fields are located at the project's beginning, middle and end. The evaluation was based on the field measurements of water contents before and after watering during the growing season. Also, the root zone of each plant during the growing season is measured to give more accurate calculations. Accordingly, application efficiency, conveyance efficiency, distribution efficiency, storage efficiency, water productivity efficiency, and water use efficiency were calculated in the project. The application efficiency for the selected fields ranged between (33 to 39) % in B1, (32 to 38) % in B2, and (32 to 39) % in B3. The application efficiency in all fields increased by about 6% during the third watering period between (22/3/2021 to 4/4/2021) due to the low water level in Shatt Al-Hilla during maintenance work that lasted more than a month. The efficiency of the scheme [ηs%] in the project is 32.3%. This value is low and reflects the reality of irrigation in the Babil. Therefore, improvements must be made to the irrigation system.

Анотація:
Abstract The presence of tissue-resident memory T-cells (TRM) in solid tumors positively correlates with an improved overall prognosis and responsiveness to checkpoint inhibitor therapy. Rationally designed vaccine approaches capable of inducing antitumor TRM at cancer sites are needed to harness the full potential of localized immunity in tumor therapy. Our project aims to establish tumor antigen-specific lung TRM by mucosal vaccination with an adenoviral (Ad) vaccine to prevent and treat lung metastasis in the murine 4T1 breast cancer model. We employ Ad serotype 5 vectors encoding for 4T1 tumor-associated antigens from Mage-b and MuLV gp70 for intranasal vaccination, supplemented with an Interleukin-1β-encoding vector to specifically boost lung TRM induction. Indeed, particularly if Ad-IL-1β was co-delivered, mucosal vaccination established high numbers of tumor antigen-specific CD69 +CD103 +lung TRM as shown by phenotypic and functional analyses in combination with intravascular staining. Vaccine efficacy was evaluated in a 4T1 pseudometastasis model mimicking a prophylactic vaccination against lung metastasis in breast cancer patients. Local immunization led to a significant protection against pulmonary metastasis and improved survival compared to non-vaccinated and, notably, intramuscularly immunized mice. By using FTY720 to inhibit T-cell circulation upon tumor challenge, we confirmed that TRM are crucial contributors to the vaccine efficacy. In conclusion, induction of tumor-antigen specific lung TRM are a key point in local protection against pulmonary metastasis. Ongoing studies analyze the therapeutic use of this vaccination strategy as well as its potential in combination with immune checkpoint inhibition. ABSTRACTGames can be a valuable tool for the teaching and learningprocess. This project aimed to offer workshops on computationalthinking for youngsters between 9 and 16 years-old. Theunplugged approach was adopted in order to include participantswhose institutions do not have access to internet. The one-and-ahalfhour workshops were offered during 4 months – 1 per month– in three public institutions for approximately 40 people. Bothparticipants and educators who work in these institutions haveshown interest in the activities offered and provided positivefeedback.

Le Mali est un véritable pays plurilingue. Diverses langues et cultures y cohabitent et sont en contact permanent. Les habitants y sont, en grande partie, multilingues et choisissent une langue selon la situation de communication.Notre thèse est une initiative de documentation et de revitalisation du mamara, une langue parlée au Sud-Est du Mali, dans les régions de Koutiala, Ségou et Sikasso. Elle se présente comme un travail interdisciplinaire au sein des Sciences du Langage, à cheval entre la didactique des langues et cultures, anthropologie et sociolinguistique, appliquées à la revitalisation d’une langue « menacée » de la sous-famille gur, de la branche voltaïque et du groupe sénoufo au sein de l’ensemble Niger-Congo, parlée au Mali.Cette thèse se situe, quoique de manière parallèle, dans la continuité du projet ELAN- Afrique sur l’enseignement bi-plurilingue en Afrique. Mieux, elle propose une alternative par la méthode des TERPLO aux diverses méthodes déjà pratiquées et dont les limites sont connues. Dans cette thèse, nous faisons l’apologie d’une pédagogie favorable au transfert et reposant sur une démarche contrastive qui permet une analyse inter-systémique de la langue (L1) et de la langue (L2). Cette pédagogie co-participative est une proposition didactique qui a déjà montré ses preuves ailleurs dans l’amélioration des pratiques d’enseignement bi-plurilingue, du contenu des manuels et des programmes de formation s’inscrivant dans la logique de la démarche du projet ELAN, mais qui s’avère différente dans l’implémentation, comme nous le verrons et qui reste, du moins pour notre terrain africain, encore à teneur expérimentale, étant donné la situation d’insécurité qui règne dans notre pays.Notre thèse tente d’associer une praxis exogène, issue de la recherche-action en Amérique latine (http://axe7.labex-efl.org/taxonomy/term/12) en milieu autochtone (amérindien), à une pratique endogène africaine, allant dans le sens d’une pédagogie fondée sur un syncrétisme entre tradition et modernité, dans l’esprit du penseur et pédagogue malien Amadou Hampâté Bâ (1900-1991). Elle concentre son action sur la langue mamara, l’une des treize langues officielles du Mali depuis le « Décret n°2023-0401/PT-RM du 22 juillet 2023 portant promulgation de la nouvelle constitution »
Mali is a truly multilingual country. Various languages and cultures coexist and are in constant contact. The inhabitants are, for the most part, multilingual and choose a language according to the communication situation.Our thesis is an initiative to document and revitalize Mamara, a language spoken in southeastern Mali, in the regions of Koutiala, Segou and Sikasso. It is an interdisciplinary work within the Language Sciences. It straddles the didactics of languages and cultures, anthropology and sociolinguistics, applied to the revitalization of an "endangered" language of the Gur subfamily, the Voltaic branch and the Senufo group within the Niger-Congo ensemble in Mali.This thesis is a continuation of the ELAN-Africa project on bi-plurilingual education in Africa. Better still, it offers an alternative (TERPLO) to the various methods already practiced and whose limits are known. In this thesis, we advocate a pedagogy favorable to transfer and based on a contrastive approach that allows an inter-systemic analysis of language (L1) and language (L2). This co-participatory pedagogy is a didactic proposal that has already shown its evidence elsewhere in the improvement of bi-plurilingual teaching practices, the content of textbooks and training programs in line with the logic of the ELAN project's approach, but different in implementation.Our thesis attempts to associate an exogenous praxis, resulting from action research in Latin America cf. (http://axe7.labex-efl.org/taxonomy/term/12), with an endogenous African practice, pedagogy based on a syncretism between tradition and modernity, in the spirit of the Malian pedagogue Amadou Hampâté Bâ (1900-1991). It focuses its action on the Mamara language, one of the thirteen official languages of Mali since "Decree No. 2023-0401/PT-RM of 22 July 2023 promulgating the new constitution"

A aposta neste conceito tem sido evidenciada através de diversas campanhas com as quais nos defrontamos diariamente (Zenone, 2006: 68). Embora “não sendo totalmente clara a atuação do marketing social, é importante compreender a evolução dos conceitos, buscando uma purificação destes, elucidando as confusões, banalizações e até deturpações na atualidade” (Araújo, 2005: 5). A revisão da literatura efetuada revelou a existência de um grande número de conceitos associados ao marketing social e às variáveis da marca em estudo, nomeadamente aos fatores de perceção: notoriedade, qualidade percebida, imagem de marca e ao fator comportamental: mudança de comportamento, sendo este último fundamental no contexto de marketing social (Kotler e Roberto, 1992: 25). Nesta vertente, a Câmara Municipal do Porto lidera um consórcio local no âmbito da mobilidade sustentável, o Projeto Europeu Civitas Elan (PECE), o qual visa, essencialmente, a implementação de medidas inovadoras na área dos transportes que têm como principal objetivo a mudança de hábitos e comportamentos dos indivíduos, nomeadamente a redução do uso do veículo particular em detrimento de outros modos de transporte mais ecológicos. Parte da comunidade científica considera a presença dos intangíveis, nomeadamente a marca, como um dos principais meios ao alcance das instituições para a obtenção de uma diferenciação do produto e como um fator de inibição face à concorrência (Kerin e Sethuraman, 1998: 260; Perez, 2004: 31; Keller et. al, 2002: 120; Côrte-Real, 2010). Questa tesi tratta la gestione dei formati digitali dei testi, parziale argomento del progetto Biblio dell'università di Bologna. L'analisi proposta in questa tesi prevede la proposta di un'architettura che sfrutta in parte tecnologie già esistenti come linguaggi di markup, gestione di frammenti di testo con XPointer e epubcfi, tools per NLP, TEI, DocBook. Questa architettura ha il compito di modificare i formati digitali dei documenti in modo tale che la struttura sia indipendente dall'impaginazione. Ciò avviene attraverso l'introduzione delle unità informative, ossia nuovi elementi nella struttura del testo. Le unità informative sono di vari tipi, quelle più rilevanti ed innovative riguardano parti di testo e periodi; esse, infatti, permettono di identificare un preciso periodo dall'opera senza che esso dipenda dal tipo di impaginazione. Per ottenere questo risultato sono state sollevate tre problematiche principali: la gestione delle opere già esistenti, la gestione delle traduzioni, la gestione di opere inedite; esse vengono rispettivamente risolte nelle proposte dei postprocessor, del translationSystem e dell'authorSystem. Tutte e tre si basano sulla produzione di un'enumerazione delle unità informative, con una particolare attenzione per i periodi. Per riuscire a reperire i periodi si sfruttano le tecnologie di riconoscimento NLP. Il translationSystem e l'authorSystem presentano inoltre funzioni per la gestione della numerazione. Inoltre si prende in considerazione un repository e un sistema di autenticazione certificato per combattere furti d'identità, plagi e simili. Comprende accenni al recupero di unità informative sulla base di FRBR e una proposta per un sistema multiautore.

The Museum of Natural History of the University of Florence, founded in 1775 by Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo d'Asburgo Lorena, is one of the oldest and most prestigious scientific museums in the world. The fourth volume on the Collections of the Mineralogy and Lithology Section, published like the previous volumes by the Firenze University Press, fits perfectly in the series dedicated to the collections of the University's Museum System. The first part of the book describes in great detail the paths that led to the formation of the collections, starting with those dating to the Medici period and arriving at the specimens collected during recent expeditions. The second part illustrates and documents the extraordinary specimens of minerals, hardstone carvings and meteorites which represent the material patrimony of this section. Particular attention is given to the holotypes, the Elban Collection and the minerals of pegmatites, as well as the methods and solutions adopted to realize the project of the new museum exhibition set-up. The third and last part describes the studies carried out on the materials: from the minerals of the systematic collections to the rock specimens that recount not only the geodiversity of a region but also the history of a city.

The present work, published in 2016, comes from the Ex-Voto do Brasil Project, developed from 2005 to 2011, and sponsored by CNPq. It aimed at researching and analyzing ex-votos at the main Brazilian chapels of miracles, churches and museums in order to study the typology, iconography, iconology, grammar, discourse, social memory and multiple forms that, as testimonies or media, ex-votos carry messages and information from individual and collective issues. In this second revised edition, there are six narratives authored by researchers from Bahia, Goiás and Minas Gerais. They analyze ex-votos from the point of view of art, communication, history and linguistics. All authors are researchers at GREC - Study Group on Cybermuseums. The book is brilliantly presented by Dr. Caroline Perrée and Dr. Clarisse Prêtre (French researchers), and from Brazil, by Dr. Ednaldo Soares (researcher and writer), Dr. Karina Janz Woitowicz (researcher and journalist), and Dr. Maria Helena Ochi Matue Flexor (historian). Finally, it is also presented by Dr. Elin Luque Agraz (Mexican historian), who honorably shared with us her research and ideas about the innate wealth of ex votos, but passed away in 2018.

No início do ano de 2020, o mundo foi surpreendido pela disseminação de um novo vírus (SARS-CoV-2), perigoso pelo seu fácil contágio e letal pelos efeitos provocados pela doença COVID-19. Tratou-se de uma emergência de saúde pública de âmbito internacional, declarada pela Organização Mundial de Saúde, no dia 30 de janeiro de 2020, bem como à classificação da disseminação do vírus como uma pandemia, no dia 11 de março de 2020. Ao longo do ano de 2020, como consequência direta desta pandemia e com ela relacionada, foram publicados mais de 200 diplomas legais, entre decretos do Presidente da Républica, leis da Assembleia da Républica, decretos-lei do Governo, despachos e resoluções. A inúmera produção legislativa verificada atingiu quase todos os setores da vida em sociedade, desde a liberdade de reunião à liberdade de circulação, desde a agricultura aos serviços, da administração pública às empresas de todos os setores (público, privado lucrativo e da economia social e, dentro desta, com destaque para as Instituições Particulares de Solidariedade Social (IPSS) e entidades a ela equiparadas). Este documento concretiza a análise de dados de um questionário alargado, realizado no âmbito do Projeto COOPVID, que surgiu da necessidade de estudar o impacto e os desafios que a pandemia, provocada pela COVID-19, teve nas Cooperativas de Solidariedade Social (CSS).

O presente livro faz a apresentação do que foram as ideias e a viagem de cada um dos 40 projetos-piloto do CREATOUR. Cada capítulo versa o avanço da caminhada e a organização (ou parceria) e projetos a ela inerentes, as dificuldades encontradas, os êxitos, o balanço da viagem até ao momento e as aspirações e planos para o futuro. O protagonismo de vozes estudantis na escola pública é pautado por práticas pedagógicas voltadas à equidade e à reparação de populações socialmente excluídas. Essas práticas buscam responder a três questões básicas: Quem é sujeito na sala de aula? Como ele vive? Quais lutas e expectativas sociais são lançadas sobre esse sujeito? A resposta a essas questões potencializa projetos pedagógicos que dispõem o estudante na centralidade do processo-ensino aprendizagem, dando-lhes voz nas aulas de língua. O diálogo surge então como caminho para a interação entre os sujeitos nessa prática pedagógica. A professora Mari Lima discute sua experiência em um projeto de intervenção na sala de aula que lhe levou a mudanças de paradigmas e à reflexividade quanto à sua prática no ensino de língua. Então seu livro é um estudo proposto a partir do diálogo e do empoderamento de vozes estudantis dispostas no púlpito na sala de aula. Com essa escrita, a autora compartilha experiências ao se deslocar de um papel de professora expositora para assumir a posição de mediadora disposta a ouvir seu estudante. E também como pesquisadora e estudiosa de práticas pedagógicas, ela nos desafia a pensar pedagogias afrocentradas.

As indagações em torno do Projeto Político-Pedagógico (PPP) de uma escola rural em Jataí, interior do estado de Goiás, ancorou-se na premissa de que a escola amplia horizontes para o mundo do conhecimento, desde que a identidade cultural dos sujeitos que por ela passam sejam valorizadas. Na história da educação brasileira, a relação campo–cidade impactada por um passado colonial escravocrata, fez emergir no imaginário social que os espaços rurais e as pessoas que neles habitam são marcados pelo atraso. Projeção elaborada a partir de um mito que associava urbanidade e industrialização à modernidade e desenvolvimento. As pessoas do campo – negros africanos e indígenas escravizados, analfabetos da língua vernácula imposta pelos portugueses, bem como os imigrantes que os substituíram pós-abolição – produziram uma nova classe de miseráveis em um período em que não haviam políticas educacionais para essa população. A elite brasileira que se beneficiava diretamente das atividades agrícolas, desde o século XIX até o século XX, criou escolas para servir apenas sua própria classe social. Somente após a década de 1930 é que se criaram as escolas rurais, porém, como sendo um arremedo das urbanas, desconsiderando-se a população do campo e o contexto local. Daí a importância de se lançar o olhar sobre um PPP, oito séculos depois, identificando a identidade rural local ali expressa.

Este livro tem como objetivo discutir os significados que se encontram existentes na proposta pedagógica do Planejamento Participativo nas aulas de Educação Física Escolar. A pesquisa que foi desenvolvida, perpassou por discussões sobre gestão democrática na escola e a construção coletiva do projeto político pedagógico e o Currículo com diferentes pessoas em seu planejamento e desenvolvimento. Com isso, a disciplina de Educação Física se apresenta como um componente curricular que, ao longo dos anos, passou por diferentes contextos educacionais. Todavia, surgiram diversos estudos que possibilitaram diferentes pontos de vista e abordagens, e também como componente curricular embasado por documentos oficiais. Os trabalhos pesquisados nos anais de três eventos acadêmicos da área de Educação Física, são eles, Seminário de Metodologia do Ensino de Educação Física (Semef), Seminário de Educação Física e o Congresso Brasileiro de Ciências do Esporte (Conbrace), tendo como critério de seleção palavras “Educação Física Escolar”, “Planejamento Participativo”, “Sondagem”, “Construção de Conhecimento” e “Saberes dos Alunos” nos títulos dos trabalhos acadêmicos para a sua seleção A metodologia que utilizamos para a leitura e discussão dos trabalhos, foi desenvolvida por meio de uma revisão integrativa com o objetivo de identificar e discutir as possibilidades, potencialidades, desafios e dificuldades que cada trabalho selecionado apresenta no desenvolvimento de um Planejamento Participativo. Por fim, os significados existentes nesta proposta pedagógica nas aulas de Educação Física Escolar têm em sua construção desafios como as dificuldades dos envolvidos com a educação escolar na participação nas tomadas de decisões, a participação das pessoas em diferentes ambientes que elas frequentam. O livro conta a história dos principais casarões edificados em Jataí de 1880 a 1930, destacando o projeto de arquitetura de cada um deles. Como expressão da cultura, tanto o espaço edificado quanto o espaço urbano são objetos de análise ao que conceituamos como cultura de morar (JUNIOR, 2011). Entendida como uma faceta da cultura, ou um conjunto multifuncional de valores socialmente compartilhados e historicamente construídos, comportamentos, experiências, padrões sociais, elementos identitários e imagéticos que orbitam em torno do espaço privado da habitação. Uma postura que implica em considerar também os valores, usos e significados dos espaços arquitetônicos que as formas espaciais dão origem: ponto de partida à tessitura de narrativas textuais, visuais, reais ou imaginárias do lugar de morar. A partir disso, o interesse dos autores se volta para a implantação da povoação de Jataí, seu núcleo urbano inicial, no final do século XIX até 1930. Este recorte temporal se justifica por duas razões: em primeiro lugar, a evidente necessidade de registrar a ocupação espacial a partir de suas origens, compreender seu traçado e sua implantação. Em segundo lugar, estabelecer a década de 1930 como limite, se justifica em função das profundas transformações desencadeadas pela chamada revolução de 1930. No novo ambiente político desta época o estado de Goiás vivenciou uma profunda alteração com a construção de Goiânia, em 1933, e uma reorganização das zonas de influência política, social, econômica e cultural que ela representava. Uma alteração que colocaria a produção do espaço construído em outros parâmetros. Por razões políticas, culturais e sociais, a década de 1930 representou uma inflexão.

Apresentamos a Coleção Ensino da História, constituída de um volume, que expressa o ensino de História no âmbito educacional e social. Nota-se que o conhecimento histórico deve ser preservado nos diversos contextos sociais, principalmente na escola, onde muitas vezes o ensino de História não é interpretado corretamente pelos professores. A sistematização deste estudo, focando o ensino de História no contexto da educação institucionalizada, objetiva refletir sobre as principais características e tendências do ensino nessa área do conhecimento, considerando que a atualidade está fortemente marcada e influenciada por transformações estruturais. O estudo histórico, efetivado no âmbito da educação formal escolar, sempre implica uma seleção de conteúdos e de metodologias. Os espaços e as possibilidades de uma escolha fundamentada, referente ao que estudar, e a problematização de objetivos e finalidades do estudo desenvolvido se apresentam um tanto reduzidos. Praticamente tudo está pronto, isto é, selecionado, organizado sequencialmente e, também, estão definidas as propostas de atividades a serem desenvolvidas. Os conteúdos não aparecem na sua totalidade, por vezes abordados superficialmente e resumidamente. A preocupação predominante não é a de refletir sobre a história construída por seres humanos, na dimensão de processo, mas localizar, interpretar e descrever acontecimentos, fatos, períodos. É preciso, sim, torná-lo crítico-social, dinâmico e transformador, contribuindo para a formação de alunos e professores atuantes, comprometidos e coerentes com um projeto de sociedade, cuja centralidade são os humanos, historicamente situados. This chapter introduces a project-based learning lesson that integrates science, English language arts (ELA), and math through a study related to energy sources. Throughout the lesson, students are engaged in a real-world problem of determining the impact of a population on energy resources and discovering ways to build greener, more energy-efficient schools for students of the future. Within this chapter, the authors present a proposed project timeline that teachers can use for implementation within their own classrooms, including an entry event to engage students in the mission of the project. A connection between science, ELA, and math practices is addressed in order to provide students with an opportunity to understand the correlation between all three subject areas. Suggested teaching and learning tasks focused on the driving question of the project and related to all three subject areas are presented along with suggestions for a culminating product and assessment of student learning.

Visual object detection is a foundation in the field of computer vision. Since the size of visual objects in an images is various, the speed and accuracy of object detection are the focus of current research projects in computer vision. In this book chapter, the datasets consist of fruit images with various maturity. Different types of fruit are divided into the classes “ripe” and “overripe” according to the degree of skin folds. Then the object detection model is employed to automatically classify different ripeness of fruits. A family of YOLO models are representative algorithms for visual object detection. The authors make use of ConvNeXt and YOLOv7, which belong to the CNN network, to locate and detect fruits, respectively. YOLOv7 employs the bag-of-freebies training method to achieve its objectives, which reduces training costs and enhances detection accuracy. An extended E-ELAN module, based on the original ELAN, is proposed within YOLOv7 to increase group convolution and improve visual feature extraction. In contrast, ConvNeXt makes use of a standard neural network architecture, with ResNet-50 serving as the baseline. The authors compare the proposed models, which result in an optimal classification model with best precision of 98.9%.

This chapter reports on a case study of a 12-week technology course for preservice English language arts teachers in which the teacher educator attempted to shift away from tool-centric approaches by foregrounding purpose-driven tool use and project-based learning experiences. Findings from analyses of classroom, interview, and survey data suggested that specific design choices helped to promote purpose-driven technology use for literacy learning. These included the instructor's articulation and modeling of a “pedagogy first” stance that centered pedagogical reasons for digital tool use and affordances of digital tools, and the organization of a project-based learning environment that engaged preservice teachers in hands-on exploration of digitally mediated ELA learning through continual cycles of making, sharing, and reflecting on digital artifacts.

Large-scale projects in Germany are often delivered too late and with excessive costs. This is partly due to lagging projectification in the public sector and also because there is a lack of exemplary entrepreneurship. Therefore, this paper explores the role of exemplary entrepreneurship in the projectification of society in Germany, utilizing the example of Elon Musk and Tesla´s fourth Gigafactory near Berlin. Building on qualitative and quantitative research on the projectification of society in Germany with reference to institutional theory, findings from an explanatory case study are compared, and the insights are discussed. For instance, the reputation of the entrepreneur, Elon Musk, is that of an innovator who can overcome well-established rules in Germany and contribute to a significant acceleration of large-scale projects by making courageous decisions. Upcoming projects in Germany are already using Elon Musk's success story as a role model for their own approach. Although this case study is only one example of a large-scale project managed in an entrepreneurial way and further case studies should explore the interrelationship, it shows that projectification of society in general and the performant realization of projects, in particular, can benefit from it. As a result, promising behaviors and approaches for implementing similar projects can be induced, providing a boost to the projectification of society overall.

Анотація:
Large-scale projects in Germany are often delivered too late and with excessive costs. This is partly due to lagging projectification in the public sector and also because there is a lack of exemplary entrepreneurship. Therefore, this paper explores the role of exemplary entrepreneurship in the projectification of society in Germany, utilizing the example of Elon Musk and Tesla´s fourth Gigafactory near Berlin. Building on qualitative and quantitative research on the projectification of society in Germany with reference to institutional theory, findings from an explanatory case study are compared, and the insights are discussed. For instance, the reputation of the entrepreneur, Elon Musk, is that of an innovator who can overcome well-established rules in Germany and contribute to a significant acceleration of large-scale projects by making courageous decisions. Upcoming projects in Germany are already using Elon Musk's success story as a role model for their own approach. Although this case study is only one example of a large-scale project managed in an entrepreneurial way and further case studies should explore the interrelationship, it shows that projectification of society in general and the performant realization of projects, in particular, can benefit from it. As a result, promising behaviors and approaches for implementing similar projects can be induced, providing a boost to the projectification of society overall.

Este artigo apresenta um modelo para gerência de configuração de software em termos de módulos de projeto. Módulos de projeto determinam um escopo para as atividades do desenvolvimento, os objetos por elas criados ou transformados e as ferramentas empregadas para esse fim. O modelo é adequado para evolução do software, integrando ações relativas ao controle de versões com ações gerenciais alusivas ao controle do processo. Ele permite associar os vários componentes com as fases do ciclo de vida e atividades do desenvolvimento. Possibilita também um controle mais detalhado da configuração e contextualização das várias decisões pertinentes a ela.

Анотація:
A realidade aumentada está cada vez mais presente na sociedade, porém óculos como o Hololens da Microsoft possuem preços demasiadamente proibitivo. Desta forma o projeto aberto com licença GLP 3.0, Project North Star é uma alternativa acessível deste tipo de tecnologia. A modularidade do projeto permite que diversas outras tecnologias sejam associadas a ele. Dentre elas pode-se citar um sistema de rastreamento baseado em um MIMU (Magnetic and Inertial Measurement Unit) que permite o usuário se movimentar utilizando o dispositivo com três graus de liberdade. O presente trabalho apresenta a implementação de uma solução de sistema de rastreamento baseado em MIMU para uma das versões do Project North Star, montado conforme descrito em Fracaro, Frata e Mauricio [1], utilizando um Arduino Nano como apoio.

As Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação proporcionam diversas mudanças e oportunidades na sociedade, sendo essencial para a comunicação e consulta à informações. Com a pandemia da COVID-19, surge a necessidade de informações rápidas e verídicas sobre o estado da doença e como ela está afetando as diversas localidades do planeta. Instituições públicas como prefeituras, por muitas vezes detém essas informações, entretanto, nem sempre elas são disponibilizadas de maneira rápida e simples para a compreensão. Desta forma, a partir de preceitos de governo digital, visando contribuir com a sociedade, este trabalho apresenta um relato de integração entre academia e instituição pública, na construção de um projeto de visualização de dados da pandemia para uma prefeitura de Minas Gerais, fazendo com que os dados possam ser disponibilizados, acessados e usados pelos cidadãos de maneira rápida.

A área de pesquisa em próteses robóticas é expressiva tanto pela tecnologia e inovação que vem apresentando nos últimos anos quanto pelos problemas de deficiência física que ela tenta mitigar. A necessidade de ter essas próteses ligadas ao corpo do portador de deficiência torna indispensável que elas tenham o controle realizado pelo corpo do próprio paciente. Dentre alguns sinais biológicos, o sinal mioelétrico é uma alternativa interessante nesse tipo de aplicação. Para tal, o sistema deve ser capaz de captar o sinal, condicioná-lo e utilizá-lo, para que a prótese realize as ações requisitadas pelo indivíduo. Nesse contexto, este trabalho se concentra no desenvolvimento inicial de uma prótese de uma mão simples, acionada por sinais mioelétricos. O sinal foi captado com sucesso e seu condicionamento atendeu as necessidades do projeto. Dessa forma, verificou-se o movimento da prótese quando a contração é detectada pelo sistema.,

Анотація:
Na França, a Zone d’Aménagement Concerté (ZAC) consolidou-se, enquanto Projeto Urbano (PU), como o principal instrumento de planejamento urbano para renovação e extensão urbanas. Apesar de ter tido influência na criação do instrumento brasileiro da Operação Urbana pouco se sabe sobre a ZAC no Brasil e os estudos que abordam a temática dos PU, em geral, não abordam a questão da sustentabilidade no desenvolvimento das operações. O objetivo deste artigo é identificar como a sustentabilidade é abordada nas ZAC francesas a partir da análise de três objetos empíricos conformando um Estudo de Caso Único Integrado. Constatou-se, a partir disso, que a problemática ambiental está muito incorporada ao processo de projeto e implantação das operações, mas que apesar da tomada de consciência, incentivos financeiros são ainda necessários para que elas se concretizem dessa forma.
