Résumé La post-modernité peut être vue comme l'implosion catastrophique de la culture contemporaine dans une série de scènes qui reflètent l'excès, le surplus, la désaccumulation et la panique. Comme une séismographie de cette condition, le présent essai regroupe trois " thèses " reliées au phénomène sportif. L'art post-moderne, le corps " plastique " et l'image mass-médiatique contemporaine sont présentés comme les résultats de véritables implosions : (a) l'art est fragmenté, éclaté, et son hyper-marchandisation est assurée par l'appropriation et la reproduction des mosaïques de la télévision et des divers signes, symboles et marchandises du capitalisme de consommation, y compris le sport ; (b) le corps sportif est morcelé, entraîné, façonné puis subordonné à l'appareil post-moderne du pouvoir au plan épistémolo-gique, idéologique, technologique et sémiologique ; et (c) le sport médiatisé contribue à la culture " excrémentale " (Kroker & Cook, 1986) en reproduisant le populisme esthétique, la fragmentation, le manque de profondeur et l'effacement de l'histoire caractéristiques de la culture post-moderne.

Penseur de la naissance de la conscience (ou « aperception ») de soi à partir du déploiement de l’effort moteur du corps, Maine de Biran (1766-1824) analyse tout au long de son oeuvre la nature complexe et polémique des rapports entre pensée et affectivité. De nature réflexive car faisant retour sur les affections, sensations, impressions et sentiments procurés par la vie du corps, qui en obscurcissent le discernement, la première, détermination intérieure du moi, nous procure les idées que nous pouvons acquérir de nous-mêmes et de nos actes intellectuels, au fondement de notre personnalité. Or, l’affirmation de celle-ci, résultat de l’effort de stylisation en lequel consiste l’activité de la pensée, peut se trouver contrariée par des déterminants de nature endogène (les effets de l’habitude, le défaut de concentration, l’absence de but intellectuel, etc.) ou exogènes (en l’occurrence, les bouleversements d’ordre social et politique occasionnés par la Révolution française). Aussi, à côté de ses mémoires définissant sur le plan théorique les conditions de la constitution ou de la diminution du sentiment du moi, le journal intime de Biran répond à la nécessité de retrouver l’unité d’un moi fragmenté dans une société ayant perdu l’ensemble de ses hiérarchies et repères anciens. Selon Biran, la construction d’une mémoire du travail de la pensée, sans cesse confronté aux fluctuations du quotidien et aux aléas de la vie du corps, constitue le garant de cette unité. Cela sur la base d’une nette distinction entre les objets et intentions propres à la physiologie et à la psychologie, au coeur du projet d’élaboration d’une Science de l’Homme.

AbstractSpermatogenesis in two species of free-living marine nematodes from the family Chromadoridae (Panduripharynx pacifica and Euchromadora robusta) was studied electron-microscopically. The spermatogonia of both species are undifferentiated polygonal cells with a large nucleus surrounded by a small amount of cytoplasm. In P. pacifica the cytoplasm of spermatocytes contains many Golgi bodies, cisternae of RER, ribosomes, mitochondria and dense spherical bodies. Filamentous material is accumulated in spermatids, which contain only mitochondria and a fragmented (or lobed) nucleus devoid of the nuclear envelope. The immature sperm resembles the late spermatid: its central filamentous area is surrounded by chromatine particles and occasional mitochondria. The immature sperm plasma membrane forms deep infoldings. Mature spermatozoa from the uterus consist of a small main cell body (MCB) bearing a prominent pseudopod filled with cytoskeleton filaments. The MCB contains a nucleus and mitochondria. Spermatogenesis in E. robusta (studied only in testes) resembles that described for P. pacifica, but spermatocytes of E. robusta show much lower metabolic activity and, as a result, a smaller mass of filamentous material is stored in the spermatids and immature sperm. The spermatozoa of P. pacifica and the immature sperm of E. robusta have the main ultrastructural features characteristic for nematodes (amoeboid nature, absence of axoneme, acrosome and nuclear envelope). No aberrant organelles special for many nematode sperm (membranous organelles, paracrystalline fibrous bodies and their complexes) were found during sperm development of the chromadorids studied. In this respect their spermatogenesis differs significantly from that in secernents and monhysterids.La spermatogenèse a été étudiée en microscopie électronique à transmission chez deux espèces de nématodes libres marins (Panduripharynx pacifica et Euchromadora robusta) de la famille des Chromadoridae. Les spermatogonies, chez les deux espèces, sont des cellules indifférenciées avec un grand noyau entouré d'une petite quantité de cytoplasme. Chez P. pacifica, le cytoplasme des spermatocytes contient de nombreux corps de Golgi, des cisternae du RER, des ribosomes, des mitochondries et des corps sphériques denses. Le matériel filamenteux est accumulé dans les spermatides qui contiennent seulement des mitochondries et un noyau fragmenté (ou lobé) dépourvu d'enveloppe nucléaire. Le sperme immature resemble aux dernières spermatides: son aire centrale filamenteuse est entourée par des particules de chromatine et quelques mitochondries. La membrane plasmatique du sperme immature forme des invaginations profondes. Le MCB contient un noyau et des mitochondries. La spermatogenèse chez E. robusta (étudiées seulement au niveau des testicules) ressemble à celle décrite chez P. pacifica, mais les spermatocytes d' E. robusta sont le siège d'une activité métabolique plus faible et, par conséquent, une masse plus faible de matériel filamenteux est stockée dans les spermatides et dans le sperme immature. Les spermatozoïdes de P. pacifica et le sperme immature d' E. robusta ont les mêmes caractéristiques ultrastructurales pour des nématodes (nature amiboïde, absence d'axonème, d'acrosome et d'enveloppe nucléaire) mais aucune des organelles aberrantes particuliéres à de nombreux spermes de nématodes (organelles membraneuses, corps fibreux paracrystallins et leurs complexes) n'ont été identifiées pendant le développement du sperme chez les Chromadorides étudiés. Par cet aspect, leur spermatogenèse diffère significativement de celle des Secernentes et des Monhysterides.

Em seguida, se profere também montagem para problematizar a construção de corpos eróticos. Firstly, the assembly was applied as a motor activity for the visual organization of the thought. After that, another assembly was conducted to problematize the construction of erotic bodies. Este trabajo analiza dos fragmentos de inscripciones romanas procedentes de la zona de Lara de los Infantes (Burgos). El primero de ellos es un fragmento anepigráfico con representación de una figura humana femenina. El segundo corresponde a un fragmento de estela romana en el que se intuye una denominación mediante doble idiónimo. En definitiva, se trata de dos nuevos testimonios epigráficos a añadir al profuso corpus de una zona rica en hallazgos epigráficos pero pobre en intervenciones arqueológicas que los contextualicen.This work analyzes two fragments of roman inscriptions from the area of Lara de los Infantes (Burgos). The first one is an anepigraphic fragment with a representation of a female human figure. The second fragment come from a roman stele in which a denomination by double idionym could be deduced. Ultimately, these are two new epigraphic testimonies to be added to the extense corpus of a very rich area in epigraphic findings but poor in archaeological works which contextualize them.

Ce travail se propose d’étudier une esthétique propre à l’époque romantique : l’expression parla fragmentation du corps. En effet, l'esthétique romantique trouve dans la fragmentation récurrente du corps une issue à son opacité et un moyen d'exprimer au mieux l'essence du Tout. La tête et l'oeil en sont deux exemples particulièrement expressifs utilisés dans l’art. Mais c’est la main qui synthétise le mieux cette démarche esthétique : en unissant le sensible à l’intelligible, la main se fait centre de gravité de la création artistique.Le Künstlerroman et le Bildungsroman, mettent particulièrement en lumière la prégnance de ces enjeux esthétiques, tant en France qu’en Allemagne. Nous étudions de ce fait ici le Franz Sternbal deTieck, le Wilhelm Meister et le Faust de Goethe ainsi que sept contes d’Hoffmann afin de prouver la récurrence de cette esthétique au sein de genres littéraires aussi divers que le roman, le théâtre ou le conte. Ces trois genres sont également défendus par un corpus français prenant en compte l’un des bastions du romantisme hexagonal, Le Rouge et le Noir de Stendhal, en y alliant plusieurs nouvellestraitant de l’art : Sarrasine et Le Chef-d’oeuvre inconnu de Balzac, Le Fils du Titien de Musset et La Toison d’Or de Théophile Gautier. Ajouter Lélia de George Sand à notre corpus permet de prouver que cette esthétique s'étend jusqu'à l'un des plus grands succès littéraires de son époque. Enfin des oeuvres romantiques offrant au corps le premier rôle telles le Frankenstein de Mary Shelley, Fragoletta deLatouche, La Main du diable d'Alphonse Karr et La Main enchantée de Gérard de Nerval viennent renforcer notre thèseThis work deals with an aesthetics specific to the Romantic Era : the expression through thefragments of the body. For the Romantics the recurrent fragmentation of the body is indeed a solutionto its opacity and the best way to express the real nature of the Whole. The head and the eye are twostrong and meaningful examples used in arts. But the hand is definitely the fragment which bestembodies this aesthetic approach: by bringing the tangible and intelligible together, the hand becomes abridge and the centre of artistic creation.Künstlerroman and Bildungsroman highlight especially well the pregnancy of these aestheticissues both in France and Germany. Therefore Tieck's Franz Sternbald, Goethe's Wilhelm Meister andFaust will be studied in our work as well as seven tales by Hoffmann in order to prove the recurrenceof these aesthetics in various genres such as novels, plays and tales. Le travail de recherche en Arts Plastiques propose de questionner et d’expliciter le processus qui conduit de l’expérience de la maladie à celle de la création. Comment le geste créateur se trouve-t-il activé, transformé par la maladie ? Le travail plastique articulé à l’écriture, tente de vérifier l’hypothèse suivante : c’est à travers le processus de fragmentation (Heinz Kohut), de rassemblement (Anne-Sophie Le Poder) et de réparation (Jeanine Chasseguet-Smirgel) que le corps, devenu créateur, se dépasse tout en reprenant chair, devient autre, traversé par ses propres peurs et douleurs, réparé ou reconstruit par leur passage. La première partie (fragmentation), qui interroge la notion d’espace, analyse des œuvres de Louise Bourgeois et Yayoï Kusama. La fragmentation du corps et sa représentation permettent-elles de figurer la manière dont l’expérience de la maladie s’incarne, s’incorpore dans la création, sans pour autant l’illustrer ? La seconde partie explore le rassemblement comme geste de conciliation avec le corps. Dans le travail de Mona Hatoum, Chiharu Shiota, ou Niki de Saint Phalle, comment le geste de rassemblement devient-il un sang qui soude (Agamben), tout en mettant à l’épreuve du regard la faille du temps ? How is the creative gesture activated, transformed by the illness? The plastic work associated with the writing tries to verify the following hypothesis: it’s through the process of fragmentation (Heinz Kohut), of gathering (Anne-Sophie Le Poder) and mending (Jeanine Chasseguet-Smirgel) that the body, now a creator, surpasses itself while resuming flesh, turns itself into something different, through its own fear and pain, repaired or reconstructed by their passage. The first part (fragmentation), whith the notion of space, analyses Louise Bourgeois and Yayoï Kusama’s works. Does the fragmentation of the body represent the way the experience of the illness is embodied, incorporated into creation, without illustrating it? The second part explores gathering as a gesture of conciliation with the body. In Mona Hatoum, Chiharu Shiota, or Niki de Saint Phalle’s works, how does this gesture become a blood which welds (Agamben), while making us looking at a hole in time? In the third part (Repair), the reflection goes on with Rebecca Horn and Berlinde de Bruyckere ‘s works, and the choreographic play "Körper" by Sasha Waltz. Questions related to the illness and creative body will be linked to memory and otherness. In the peculiarity of their plasticity, materials become places to rewrite the body in its experience of pain, without representing it

Cette thèse est une entreprise lacanienne interdisciplinaire pour aborder la représentation de l'enfance dans The Prelude de William Wordsworth et certaines peintures de William Adolphe Bouguereau. L'enfance est une image chargée de romance, souvent associée à la glorification nostalgique de l'enfance ou à une fixation sur les enfants en tant qu'incarnations de la beauté et de la sauvagerie par excellence. Wordsworth et Bouguereau, cependant, en tant que deux romantiques canoniques, montrent que ces lectures sont intenables, car les représentations de l'enfance dans leurs œuvres d'art sont un espace sur lequel ils ont projeté leur propre intérieur en tant qu'adultes, qu'il s'agisse de sentiments agréables, tels que le sentiment d'unité, le réconfort et l'attachement ou des sentiments désagréables, tels que l'anxiété, le sentiment de perte et le deuil. Compte tenu de notre connaissance au XXIe siècle de l'inconscient et de ses liens avec les souvenirs d'enfance, il est révélateur de cartographier les représentations nuancées de l'enfance dans The Prelude de Wordsworth et les peintures de Bouguereau à la lumière de la psychanalyse de Lacan. D'une part, Lacan, dont la thèse de doctorat était La psychose paranoïaque et son rapport à la personnalité (1932), a consacré une bonne partie de ses analyses aux paradigmes psychiques formés dans l'enfance qui définissent nos personnalités d'adultes. Il a transformé les théories trépidantes de Freud sur l'inconscient en données formalistes et structurées fondées sur les subtilités du langage. Textuel, le modèle de Lacan nous propose une approche qui prend comme point de départ les spécificités rhétoriques et sémantiques d'un texte, d'une peinture ou d'une poésie, pour mettre en évidence les opérations psychiques en jeu, ce que Peter Brooks appelle les « zones de jeu » d'un texte. La psychanalyse appliquée lacanienne peut supprimer les explications téléologiques que la plupart des approches psychanalytiques cherchent à trouver, car elle soulève des arguments plutôt que de les fermer. Avec ces considérations, cette étude vise à démêler les opérations psychiques encapsulées dans les représentations de l'enfance dans The Prelude de Wordsworth et les peintures de Bouguereau, qui s'articulent, entre autres, sur le « corps morcelé » lacanien, ces images de la désunion, de la désincarnation, de l'émasculation, ainsi que de la gestalt, qui a à voir avec l'unité et la plénitude. Ces deux concepts sont des éléments essentiels d'une « libre association » psychanalytique, car tandis que le premier signale la réalisation de la construction illusoire du moi d'un sujet, la seconde est une construction imaginaire qui a des effets constitutifs et formateurs sur l'organisme ainsi que sur la croissance psychologie des humainsThis dissertation is an interdisciplinary Lacanian venture to address childhood representations in William Wordsworth’s The Prelude and some of William Adolphe Bouguereau’s paintings. Childhood is a romantically-charged image, often associated with the nostalgic glorification of childhood or with a fixation on children as the embodiments of quintessential beauty and savageness. Wordsworth and Bouguereau, however, as two canonical Romantics, prove these readings untenable, for childhood representations in their artworks is a space onto which they have projected their own innermost as adults, be it pleasant feelings, such as sense of unity, reassurance, and attachment, or unpleasant feelings, such as anxiety, sense of loss, and mourning. Childhood has variegated modalities in Romantic literature and painting, but similar approach to this image is one of the common denominators between these two artists, the study of which also unfolds a great deal about the historical epochs in which they were living, as well as their responses to their milieus as two very astute and talented observers. This study also disentangles the mass of varying child ideologies that dominates the 19th century as the “child century,” a century in which artists and activists wrote “for” and/or “about” children for pedagogical, entertaining, ideological, illuminating, historical reasons. While Wordsworth wrote “about” childhood as a metaphor to delve into the psychological intersections of childhood and adulthood, Bouguereau took the same position in the majority of his paintings, but he fell into the pitfall of confusing “for” and “about” children in few of his “miserabilist” paintings, which are today justly accused of romanticizing children’s misery. This strand of his paintings has definitely not been instanced in this study. Given our twenty-first century awareness of the unconscious and its connections to childhood memories, it is illuminating to map out nuanced childhood representations in Wordsworth’s The Prelude and Bouguereau’s paintings in the light of Lacan’s psychoanalysis. For one thing, Lacan, whose doctoral dissertation was Paranoid Psychosis and Its Relation to the Personality (1932), dedicated a great deal of his analyses to the psychic paradigms formed in childhood that define our personalities as adults. He turned Freud’s hectic theories of the unconscious into formalistic and structured data predicated on the subtleties of language. Text-oriented, Lacan’s model provides us with an approach which uses the rhetoric and semantic specificities of a text, painting or poetry, as a point of departure to bring in the fore the psychic operations at play, that which Peter Brooks calls the “play zones” of a text. Lacanian applied psychoanalysis can do away with the teleological explanations most psychoanalytical approaches seek to find, for it raises discussions rather than to close them. With these considerations, this study aims to unravel psychic operations encapsulated in childhood representations in Wordsworth’s The Prelude and Bouguereau’s paintings, which hinge on, among others, Lacanian “fragmented body” (corps morcelé), the images which have to do with disunity, disembodiment, emasculation, and so on, or gestalt matrix, which has to do with unity and wholeness. These two concepts are essential parts of a psychoanalytical “free association,” for while the former signals the realization of the illusory construct of a subject’s egos, the latter is an imaginary construct that has constitutive and formative effects on organism as well as humans’ psychological growth

Resumo: Tecido na relação entre as imagens de Kazuo Ohno, o pensamento e as palavras escritas, este texto é o desejo de um corpo novo, de uma anatomia insurgente e fugaz. Fragmentos de carne que, juntos, não compõem um organismo, mas um corpo intensivo permeado de sombras, que agenciam linhas de fuga para a composição de um pensamento de resistência sobre o corpo. Este corpo não contém uma única unidade consciente de s i mesmo; é animado por agenciamentos desejosos, que habitam e contaminam partes deste corpo: mãos, costelas, espinha, juntos e independentes, em um corpo que se desfalece e se recria na sensação, em busca de resistências, em busca de um corpo inventivo.
Abstract: Created in the relationship between the images of Kazuo Ohno, thought and written words, this text i s the desire for a new body of an insurgent and fleeting anatomy. Together, flesh fragments do not compose an organism, but an intensive body, permeated by shadows, that evokes lines of escape to compose a resistance thought about the body. This body does not contain one unity of self-conscious; desirous assemblages animate him and also inhabit and contaminate parts of body: hands, ribs, spine, together and independent in a body that faileth and self-recreate in relationship with sensation, to find resistance, to find another inventive body.

Les Antilles françaises constituent un contexte qui est à appréhender sous les différents traits qui les caractérisent : une approche géologique et géographique, historique et économique, géopolitique ou encore, ethnique et linguistique, culturelle et magico-religieuse. Une prégnance émane de ce lieu et se fait ressentir dans les arts plastiques : le fragment et le manque.Les démarches de six artistes, concernés par cette étude, s’inscrivent dans ce contexte insulaire. Ils transposent dans leurs œuvres, selon différentes modalités, les problématiques qui préoccupent l’Archipel des Antilles. Trois artistes de la Guadeloupe : Michel Rovelas, Christian Bracy, François Piquet, et trois artistes de la Martinique : Ernest Breleur, Christian Bertin, Chantal Charron, sont étudiés, et leurs travaux analysés selon leurs données plastiques, iconiques, procédurales et sémantiques. Ces plasticiens qui prennent des libertés vis-à-vis des codes traditionnels de la représentation, abandonnent le principe d’imitation de la réalité. Ils privilégient une esthétique du fragment dont le déclencheur est la blès (blesse), l’insondable blessure historique. Le corps archipélique, à l’insulaire structure, en est l’objet et le sujet d’expression. Il est la figure métaphorique du monde créole.Ces « renifleur[s] d’existence »1 effectuent un travail de mémoire et d’identité dont les fondations résident dans une accumulation de faits tragiques et troublants : la traite, l’esclavage, la période coloniale, la départementalisation. Il s’agit d’une mémoire lacunaire que l’art tend à sonderThe French West Indies constructs a context which has to be apprehended from different characteristics: a geological and geographical approach, as well as a historical, economic, geopolitical, ethnic, linguistic, cultural and magico-religious approach. A resonance emanates from this place which is felt in the plastic arts: fragment and incompleteness.The approaches of six artists involved in this study subscribe to this insular context. They transpose into their works, according to different modalities, the problems that concern the French West Indies archipelago. Three artists from Guadeloupe: Michel Rovelas, Christian Bracy, François Piquet, and three artists from Martinique: Ernest Breleur, Christian Bertin, Chantal Charron, are studied, and their work analyzed according to their plastic arts, iconic, procedural and semantic information.These plastic artists, who take liberties with respect to the traditional codes of representation, abandon the principle of imitation of reality. They favor an aesthetic of “the fragment” whose generator is “la blès” (wound), the unfathomable historical wound. The archipelagic body, with an insular structure is the object and the subject of expression. It is the metaphorical figure of the Creole world.These “searchers of existence”1 perform a work of memory and identity whose foundations lie in an accumulation of tragic and disturbing facts: slave trade, slavery, the colonial period and departmentalization. It is therefore an incomplete memory that art tends to grasp

Cette recherche exploratoire tente de mieux saisir la représentation sociale des menstruations auprès d’une population de femmes et d’hommes québécois. S’inscrivant dans une approche socio-constructiviste du corps et utilisant le thème des menstruations pour en rendre compte, un questionnaire élaboré par l’auteure a été distribué selon la méthode «boule de neige»; 106 personnes (H=35 ; F=71) y ont répondu. Pour l’ensemble des participants, les résultats mettent en lumière un champ représentationnel majoritairement composé d’expressions négatives. Des prises de position différentes face aux menstruations sont remarquées entre les sexes ainsi que selon les différentes strates d’âge. Ces différences semblent tributaires à la fois du vécu expérientiel des menstruations particulier aux femmes et de la période du cycle de la vie dans laquelle se situent les participants et transitent, entre autres, par l’entremise des véhicules de transmission que sont les expressions populaires et les publicités des produits sanitaires.

Ce travail de maîtrise présente mon Programme de découverte spatiale pour ceux qui mélangent les chiffres et la poésie : S⁴DP+. Ce projet fictif aux allures d’un récit de voyage science-fictionnel aborde l’écart entre le réel et la fiction, le vrai et le faux et les questions relationnelles entre l’instance auctoriale et l’instance narrative comme hypothèse à un syncrétisme discursif, où le discours théorique et conceptuel agirait de pair avec le discours sensible de l’œuvre. Mon travail repose principalement sur les travaux du spécialiste en narratologie Gérard Genette qui me permettent de présenter l’univers diégétique comme un laboratoire expérimental. Incidemment, par le biais d’un monde fictionnel, je propose la construction d’une connaissance alternative libérée des contraintes du réel et qui a comme objectif de produire une xéno-encyclopédie, c’est-à-dire un nouveau système sémantique en continuelle évolution indexée sur l’œuvre fictive. L’éclectisme, la diversité et l’hétérogénéité sont donc au cœur de cette entreprise liée à la connaissance et se matérialisent dans une approche artistique multidisciplinaire. En passant par l’installation et la scénographie, mes œuvres abandonnent l’autonomie de l’objet au profit d’un régime de l’ensemble. Présentées comme des fragments diégétiques ou métafictionnels, elles créent un effet de monde à travers l’immersion perceptive, l’association sémantique, la linéarité indéterminée et le pessimisme épistémique. Ce projet s’inscrit également dans une pratique qui se veut temporelle, évolutive et dont l’ensemble ne sera perceptible qu’à travers un procédé d’archivage. Chaque exposition devient alors un corpus circonstanciel à reconstruire dans le temps. Je finis par présenter mon corpus qui s’apparente à celui de l’amateurisme professionnel regroupant peintures, photographies, photogrammes, vidéo-performance, sculptures et sons. Il est bâti, à l’aide d’une stratégie narrative empreinte d’autofiction, sur la rencontre du théorique et du sensible où l’espace-temps est investi par les chiffres, la poésie et la mélancolie.

Les phrases averbales se distinguent des fragments car (es premières sont analysées comme des structures non elliptiques dont la tête est réalisée par une partie du discours différente du verbe fléchi, alors que les deuxièmes sont des structures dont la tête ou l'argument sélectionné est elliptique. Cette thèse en présente une typologie et une étude sur leur emploi dans un corpus oral de l'espagnol contemporain (CORLEC) composé de 63000 énoncés de genres différents, classés en monologiques et dialogiques. Cette typologie distingue deux types propres aux phrases averbales : polaires et existentielles, ainsi que deux types propres aux fragments : modifieurs et argumentaux, à tête verbale elliptique. Le reste des types (épistémiques, évaluatives et illocutoires) forment aussi bien des phrases averbales que des fragments, qui se distinguent par leur structure syntaxique : les fragments correspondent à des phrases averbales avec un argument elliptique. L'analyse du corpus montre que les phrases averbales et les fragments sont assez fréquents en racine (7434 items, soit 11,7'5% de tous !es énoncés du corpus), et plus rares en subordination (734 items). Elles sont aussi plus fréquentes dans les genres dialogiques que. Dans les monologiques (13 % vs. 8%). De même, en racine, les fragments sont plus fréquents que les phrases averbales, alors que les phrases averbales sont plus facilement subordonnées que les fragments. Cette analyse a donné lieu à une base des données de 8168 énoncés sans verbe, dont les phrases averbales ont été classifiées par leur structure et leur type syntaxique, ainsi que par la partie du discours de leur têteVerbless clauses differ from fragments in their structure : the first ones are analysed as non elliptic structures where the head is a part of speech different from a tensed verb, whereas the second ones are structures where either the head or the seiected argument is elliptic. This thesis prescrits une anayse and typology of these two kinds of structures, as well as a study on their distribution in a corpus conternporary oral Spanish (CORLEC), composed by 63000 utterances of different genres, ciassified as either mariologie or dialogic. This classification distinguishes two types which are exclusif of verbiess clauses : polar and existentiel, as well as two types which are oniy found among fragments : modifieur et argumentai, with an elliptic verbal head. The remaining types (episternic, evaluative and illocutive) can form either verbiess clauses or fragments, both differing in syntactic structure : fragments correspond to verbless clauses vvith an elliptic argument. The corpus analysis shows that verbless clauses and fragments are quite frequent in root position (7434 items, that is 11,75% of the total of corpus utterances) and rare in subordination (734 items). 'They are aise) more fréquent in dialogic that : in mariologie genres (13 % vs. 8%). Furthermore, in root position, fragments are more frequent thon verbless clauses, while the latter are more easily subordinated. This book presents the results of the survey conducted by the University of Florence, in the years 2008-2012, at the site and in the surrounding territory of Uşaklı Höyük on the central Anatolian plateau in Turkey. Geological, geomorphological, topographic and geophysical research have provided new information and data relating to the environment and the settlement landscape, as well as producing new maps of the area and indicating the presence of large buried buildings on the site. Analysis of the rich corpus of pottery collected from the surface indicates that the site and its territory were continuously settled from the late Early Bronze Age through the Iron Age and down to the Late Roman and Byzantine periods. A few fragments of cuneiform tablets with Hittite texts, a sealing with two impressions of a stamp seal, and pottery stamps illustrate the importance of Uşaklı Höyük and support the hypothesis of its identification with the town of Zippalanda, known from the Hittite sources as a seat of the cult of the Storm God.

Thanks to a re-edition of the main lexicographical source that transmits Pindar, fr. 321 Sn.-Maehl., i.e. Etym. Gen. AB s.v. δαῦλος, which offers the reading τετείχισται instead of the vulgate τετείχηται, this paper cautiously argues for a full deletion of that fragment from the corpus of the Pindaric fragments, and suggests, as already surmised by various scholars, that the correct reference be to Pind. Pyth. 6.9 or Isthm. 5.44, both of which present the form τετείχισται. Therefore, if this suggestion is accepted, the ‘former’ Pindaric fragment numbered as 321 should be added as a further testimonium for one or both of these lines from the aforementioned Pindaric odes.

vecindad, el eje que los vertebra permite, a través de él, realizar una lectura eficaz de todos sus
componentes. En Barcelona, al mismo tiempo que se empieza a construir el Ensanche, se distinguen sobre
el territorio algunos núcleos periféricos que forman una corona que lo rodea. Hacia el oeste, los pueblos de
Hostafrancs, Sants, Les Corts y Sarrià componen un eje imaginario que, al ir edificándose la ciudad,
también se va consolidando. El presente trabajo pretende realizar un estudio de la configuración del eje,
reconociendo en los fragmentos que le dan forma, aquellas características físicas que permiten su
consolidación; analizándolas no sólo como entidades aisladas sino como elementos que integran un todo,
que se relacionan y articulan entre sí, y, destacar aquellos atributos esenciales de cada pieza urbana que
facultan una reinterpretación de su composición. When the existing urban fabric is an arrangement of fragments that are joined together by their proximity or
neighborhood, the axis that joins them, allows, through it, an efficient reading of all its components. In
Barcelona, at the same time that the city started to build the “Eixample”, there were on the territory some
peripheral towns that were forming a crown around the planned city. To the west, the towns of Hostafrancs,
Sants, Les Corts and Sarrià made up an imaginary axis that at the same time that the city was built it would
also be consolidated. This paper aims to conduct a study of the axis configuration, recognizing in their
fragments, the morphological conditions that shapes it, analyzing them not only as isolated entities but as
elements that make up a whole, that relate and articulate between them, and highlight those essential
attributes of each urban piece that allows a reinterpretation of the axis composition.

One of the main characteristics of logical-semantic relations (LSRs) between two fragments of a text is that these relations can be either explicit (expressed by some marker, e.g. a connective) or implicit (derived from the interrelation of these fragments’ semantics). Since implicit LSRs do not have any marker, it is difficult to find them in a text (whether automatically or not). In this paper, approaches to analysing implicit LSRs are compared, an original definition for them is offered and differences between implicit LSRs and LSRs expressed by non-prototypical means are described. A method is proposed to identify implicit LSRs using a parallel corpus and a supracorpora database of connectives. Based on the well-known statement that LSRs can be explicitated by adding connectives in the translation, it is argued here that through selecting pairs in which fragments where a connective is used to express an LSR in the translation correspond to those containing any of the translation stimuli standard for this connective in the source language, it is possible to get an array of contexts in which this LSR is implicit in the source text (or expressed by means other than connectives). This method is then applied to study the French causal connectives car, parce que and puisque using a Russian-French parallel corpus. The corpus data are analysed to obtain information about LSRs particularly about cases where the causal LSR in Russian is implicit, as well as about the use of causal connectives in French. These results are used to show that the method proposed allows to quickly create a representative array of contexts with implicit LSRs, which can be useful in both text analysis and in machine learning.

O recorte temporal compreende algumas produções pictóricas do Neoclassicismo e Realismo – séc. XIX – até o Cubismo e a Pop Arte – séc. XX. São analisados seus aspectos estéticos, contextualizando-as historicamente, a fim de relacioná-las com a teoria de Calabrese, discutir sua importância no cenário artístico nacional contemporâneo e sua posição na História da Arte e da Pintura.

The paper presents work on two databases of vernacular Old East Slavic writing, viz. the databases of birchbark letters and epigraphy. The task is to link the information of archaeological/historical and linguistic character, namely, the possibility of simultaneous expansion and updating of the database and of a linguistic corpus that enables grammatical and lexical search. The online database Old East Slavic birch bark letters and the section of the historical subcorpus of the Russian National corpus containing birch bark letters call for an integration. This includes, in particular, creating an online workstation for the morphological markup of texts linked to the database entries, the possibility of exporting XML-databases with morphological markup to include them in the RNC, the possibility of automatic generation of forward and backward word indices to the database on the basis of the marked corpus, mutual verification of previously compiled manually indices to the book by A. A. Zalizniak The Old Novgorod Dialect (a new updated edition of this book is being prepared) and markup of the corpus. Creation of a new database on the Old East Slavic epigraphy is designed to overcome the fragmented state of the publications and research in the field, combining the material accumulated by the scholars into a single electronic resource. From the point of view of programming, the architecture of the epigraphy database is analogous to the one of the birch bark database, which makes it possible to create an annotated corpus of the Old East Slavic epigraphy.

Para nortear as inferências a partir da interpretação utilizar-se-á a Análise de Discurso Francesa trabalhada por Pêcheux, visando identificar circunstâncias ideológicas de forças hegemônicas sobre o histórico de luta contra o sexismo e racismo na profissão, tendo como ponto de partida o corpo imagético projetado em um conjunto de contextos que passa pela área profissional e que exige enfrentamento dos mecanismos que fragmentam as identidades de gênero e racial movimentada em uma lógica excludente.

A “escultura-moda“, de Rei Kawakubo, é um projeto de mestrado em andamento, desenvolvido no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Design Visual da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. A pesquisa está centrada no estudo dos trajes (e sua relação com os movimentos e espacialidade) elaborados pela estilista japonesa Rei Kawakubo para a performance de dança “Scenario” (1997), do bailarino e coreógrafo americano Merce Cunningham (1919-2009). Os figurinos foram adaptados da coleção primavera-verão “Corpo encontra vestido, vestido encontra corpo”, desenhada por Rei e lançada por sua marca Comme des Garçons em 1997. Rei Kawakubo é apontada como uma das mais importantes estilistas conceituais da moda contemporânea. Visionária, vanguardista, atemporal, são alguns dos adjetivos que lhe são atribuídos. Seu trabalho também é chamado de antimoda. Por meio de uma série de desconstruções visuais, suas criações abordam — direta ou indiretamente — temas como feminismo e identidade de gênero. A coleção “Corpo encontra vestido, vestido encontra corpo” e os figurinos de “Scenario” investem em uma estética que explora possibilidades inusitadas de relações entre corpo e vestido; uma estética que visa deformar as formas. Em jogo, ideias que problematizam os contornos e movimentos convencionais do corpo: volumes desproporcionais, desalinhamentos de silhuetas, inversões de perspectiva, assimetrias, automatismo, indefinição das fronteiras entre corpo e vestido, vestido como objeto. É nesta arena que nasce a sugestão da noção de “escultura-moda”. Uma noção que se pretende formular a partir da obra e para a compreensão da obra. Propõe-se, neste sentido, uma aproximação com a concepção de escultura trabalhada por Deleuze e Guattari no ensaio “Percepção, afeto e conceito”; com o conceito de “über-marionette” de Gordon Craig; e com o conceito de “grotesco”, baseado nas considerações de Mikhail Bakhtin. Os figurinos da performance de dança “Scenario” — objeto deste estudo, em que os aspectos destacados podem ser observados exemplarmente — são uma forte expressão da ideia de “escultura-moda”. Nesta comunicação, serão apresentados fragmentos da seção final do espetáculo. Neles, pode-se perceber que o alinhamento dos bailarinos, em pares ou trios, reconfigura no espaço o volume composto por corpo e vestido. As roupas criadas por Kawakubo para a Coleção propunham o redesenho do corpo. Essa proposta se radicaliza na coreografia: com o movimento do body-dress ambientado no espaço, distorções e ambiguidades se intensificam. A teatralidade é introduzida e composições esculturais dramáticas são formadas. Com o jogo teatral, a função objeto da vestimenta também é evidenciada.

Introdução: As estradas facilitam a vida humana, todavia, causam sérios impactos ambientais diretos e indiretos. Entre os diretos, os atropelamentos matam cerca de 2 milhões de animais silvestres anualmente, sobretudo no Sudeste brasileiro, no qual o Estado do Rio de Janeiro está inserido. Neste estado, a Mesorregião Noroeste se enquadra como uma das regiões de menor biodiversidade e poucas pesquisas envolvendo fauna, necessitando de dados mínimos sobre a dinâmica de interações entre a vida selvagem e as atividades antrópicas que levaram a esta redução, incluindo as rodovias. Objetivo: Compilar registros de atropelamentos de mamíferos e aves silvestres em um trecho de rodovia que corta áreas úmidas naturais e artificiais, a fim de relatar a constante perda faunística de médio e grande porte, correlacionando-os às condições paisagísticas que possivelmente propiciam tais perdas. Materiais e métodos: O local pesquisado consiste em trecho de 2,5km da rodovia BR484/RJ186, próximo à Zona Urbana de Bom Jesus do Itabapoana-RJ, fronteiriço ao Espírito Santo, que entrecorta uma extensa área de várzeas drenadas e açudes destinados ao gado. Tangencial à estrada, um subafluente do Rio Itabapoana desce à nordeste para sua foz. Chamado Córrego Bom Jardim, este corpo hídrico possui fragmentos de mata ripária e atua como corredor ecológico dentro da paisagem pastoril, possibilitando conectividade para o fragmento florestal situado do outro lado da rodovia. Os dados foram obtidos ao longo de três anos, paralelamente a trabalhos de campo com fauna, realizados no córrego e mata ripária, com registro fotográfico. Resultados: Foram contabilizados seis Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris atropelados num único ponto, onde uma manilha de drenagem passa sob a pista, conectando áreas úmidas de ambos os lados. Também registrou-se Lontra longicaudis e Procyon cancrivorus muito próximos à açudes. Além destes, Cerdocyon thous, Sphiggurus sp., Tamandua tetradactyla, Coragyps atratus, Caracara plancus, Mivalgo chimachima e Cariama cristata também foram registrados. A espécie mais atropelada foi H. hydrochaeris, abatida ao tentar atravessar de uma várzea a outra, podendo causar sérios acidentes. Conclusão: As condições da paisagem no entorno deste trecho favorecem o atropelamento de mamíferos ecologicamente relacionados à água, como as capivaras, lontras e guaxinins, sendo necessárias medidas mitigatórias locais.

Las excavaciones arqueológicas que se realizan en la ciudad hispanorromana de Valeria han exhumado los restos de un complejo termal del siglo I d.C. que estuvo en servicio cuatro siglos y que, tras su abandono, apenas fue objeto de espolio de sus materiales constructivos y decorativos. Esta circunstancia ha permitido la conservación, en uno de los ambientes, de un mosaico pavimental en un buen estado de conservación. En este mismo ambiente se ha recuperado una importante colección de fragmentos correspondientes a la decoración musiva parietal que constituye un corpus único en la arqueología romana de la provincia de Cuenca. Debido a la importancia histórico-arqueológica de este tipo de elementos, se llevó a cabo una meticulosa toma de datos que incluía la realización, mediante la técnica de dibujo por contacto directo, de un calco a escala real de cada uno de los tapetes musivos pavimentales y de los fragmentos más importantes y representativos de la decoración musiva parietal. Ello permitió un conocimiento exhaustivo no sólo de las superficies musivas representadas, sino también de detalles técnicos referentes a la puesta en obra de los elementos decorativos, la organización del trabajo o las reparaciones que se llevaron a cabo en este tipo de superficies decorativas.

Given the reported extent of microplastics in the aquatic environment, environmentally relevant exposure information for sediments dredged by the US Army Corps of Engineers will lend context to the risks posed by this contaminant during dredging. We measured the occurrence, abundance, and polymer composition of microplastics in sediments collected from nine dredged waterways and two non-dredged reference areas. The number of particles in sediment samples ranged from 162 to 6110 particles/kg dry wt., with a mean of 1636 particles/kg dry wt. Fragments were the most prevalent shape observed among the 11 study sites (100% frequency of occurrence), followed by fibers (81%), spheres (75%), foams (38%) and films (34%). Based on analyses of chemical composition of the particles using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, polyethylene:propylene was the most common polymer type observed. Consistent with results presented by other investigators microplastic concentrations and polymer types in bottom sediments in this study were also aligned with the most widely used plastics worldwide.

Snomed CT is a widely used medical ontology which is formally expressed in a fragment of the Description Logic EL++. The underlying logics allow for expressive querying, yet make it costly to maintain and extend the ontology. Existing approaches for ontology generation mostly focus on learning superclass or subclass relations and therefore fail to be used to generate Snomed CT definitions. In this paper, we present an approach for the extraction of Snomed CT definitions from natural language texts, based on the distance relation extraction approach. By benefiting from a relatively large amount of textual data for the medical domain and the rich content of Snomed CT, such an approach comes with the benefit that no manually labelled corpus is required. We also show that the type information for Snomed CT concept is an important feature to be examined for such a system. We test and evaluate the approach using two types of texts. Experimental results show that the proposed approach is promising to assist Snomed CT development.

Objectives. The major aim of the proposed research was to establish an efficient and reproducible genetic transformation system for Easter lily and gladiolus using either biolistics or Agrobacterium. Transgenic plants containing pathogen-derived genes for virus resistance were to be developed and then tested for virus resistance. The proposal was originally aimed at studying cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) resistance in plants, but studies later included bean yellow mosaic virus (BYMV). Monoclonal antibodies were to be tested to determine their effectiveness in interning with virus infection and vector (aphid) transmission. Those antibodies that effectively interfered with virus infection and transmission were to be cloned as single chain fragments and used for developing transgenic plants with the potential to resist virus infection. Background to the topic. Many flower crops, as lily and gladiolus are propagated vegetatively through bulbs and corms, resulting in virus transmission to the next planting generation. Molecular genetics offers the opportunity of conferring transgene-mediated disease resistance to flower crops that cannot be achieved through classical breeding. CMV infects numerous plant species worldwide including both lilies and gladioli. Major conclusions, solutions and achievements. Results from these for future development of collaborative studies have demonstrated the potential transgenic floral bulb crops for virus resistance. In Israel, an efficient and reproducible genetic transformation system for Easter lily using biolistics was developed. Transient as well as solid expression of GUS reporter gene was demonstrated. Putative transgenic lily plantlets containing the disabled CMV replicase transgene have been developed. The in vitro ability of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against CMV to neutralize virus infectivity and block virus transmission by M. persicae were demonstrated. In the US, transgenic Gladiolus plants containing either the BYMV coat protein or antisense coat protein genes have been developed and some lines were found to be virus resistant. Long-term expression of the GUS reporter gene demonstrated that transgene silencing did not occur after three seasons of dormancy in the 28 transgenic Gladiolus plants tested. Selected monoclonal antibody lines have been isolated, cloned as single chain fragments and are being used in developing transgenic plants with CMV resistance. Ornamental crops are multi-million dollar industries in both Israel and the US. The increasing economic value of these floral crops and the increasing ban numerous pesticides makes it more important than ever that alternatives to chemical control of pathogens be studied to determine their possible role in the future. The cooperation resulted in the objectives being promoted at national and international meetings. The cooperation also enabled the technology transfer between the two labs, as well as access to instrumentation and specialization particular to the two labs.
