Анотація:

Depuis le début des années 1970, les politiques publiques ont joué un rôle moteur dans le développement des pratiques sportives et dans la structuration du système sportif français. Dans ce contexte, l’État, les régions, les départements, les villes et les structures intercommunales ont pris une place importante dans l’organisation des événements. Largement financés sur fonds publics, les événements sportifs internationaux conduisent à des discours de légitimation dans lesquels les arguments économiques sont très présents. Dans ce cadre, l’impact touristique est évidemment valorisé puisque l’événement provoque un flux de touristes nationaux ou internationaux qui viendront consommer sur le territoire concerné. En s’appuyant sur une recherche empirique sur « l’impact économique et social de la Coupe du monde de rugby 2007 en Île-de-France », la contribution analyse les stratégies volontaristes qui visent à séduire certaines catégories de touristes et à gérer au mieux leur accueil et leurs déplacements site sportif/centre-ville/sites touristiques.

Анотація:

Résumé Par la comparaison de deux événements sportifs internationaux dans le contexte tunisien des débuts du xxie siècle (la compétition régionale des Jeux méditerranéens de septembre 2001 et le tournoi continental de la Coupe d’Afrique des nations de football de janvier-février 2004), cet article éclaire les enjeux récents et actuels des usages politiques du passé. Il apparaît que la mise en scène dans l’espace sportif des rapports entre l’histoire politique immédiate et l’histoire longue a pour objectif premier de promouvoir le régime en place aux échelles nationale et internationale. En replaçant l’analyse dans le contexte de l’évolution politique de la Tunisie postcoloniale, l’étude montre comment l’impact médiatique croissant du sport-spectacle est mis au service du nationalisme endogène, de l’idéologie étatique et, plus encore, du dirigeant autoritaire. Au-delà de l’évidente continuité dans l’instrumentalisation du sport à des fins politiques et idéologiques, c’est la (re)construction de l’imaginaire identitaire des États-nations postcoloniaux qui est mise en exergue.

À partir des travaux réalisés en didactique de l’éducation physique et en empruntant des concepts issus de la théorie des situations et de la didactique comparée, cette recherche tente d’appréhender la relation didactique que co-construisent et relie un moniteur sportif et les apprenants. Le contexte de notre étude est le club sportif et concerne une séance ordinaire de basket-ball pour des enfants de 7-10 ans. En nous focalisant sur la dimension didactique des transactions, notre but est de décrire et de comprendre les contenus et les dispositifs de travail, les interactions didactiques et la place que prennent les conceptions du moniteur dans ce processus.

La perspective psycho-sociale suggère que les stéréotypes sexués pourraient en partie expliquer l’investissement différencié des hommes et des femmes en sport. Ce travail doctoral vise à examiner le rôle joué par les stéréotypes sexués dans les comportements d’engagement/abandon sportif selon (1) la voie indirecte, via l’internalisation de ces croyances durant le processus de socialisation (Fredricks & Eccles, 2004) et (2) la voie directe, via leur activation automatique. Un programme de recherche articulé autour de 8 études et impliquant près de 1300 participants a été conduit. Les études 1 à 3 ont d’une part confirmé que des croyances étaient spécifiquement attachées aux activités sportives et d’autre part, qu’elles étaient susceptibles d’être activées automatiquement lors de la présentation brève d’activités féminines et d’affecter la catégorisation de prénoms subséquente. Les études 4 à 6 ont mis en évidence le rôle significatif joué par les stéréotypes sexués dans l’investissement sportif des individus puisque l’adhésion à des croyances défavorables à son groupe sexué prédisait négativement l’engagement sportif des adolescents, via les perceptions de soi (compétence, valeur). Si aucun lien n’a été observé entre l’association implicite sport-genre et l’engagement sportif, une identité implicite soi + masculin semble être négativement associée à l’abandon sportif. Finalement, les études 5, 7 et 8 ont montré que certains stéréotypes explicites étaient malléables d’un point de vue développemental (stéréotype général) ou suite à une manipulation expérimentale (stéréotype relatif à la compétence), mais n’ont révélé aucun pattern développemental, ni de sensibilité à la manipulation expérimentale concernant l’association implicite sport-genre
The psycho-social perspective suggests that gender stereotypes could partly explain the differentiated involvement of men and women in sport. This doctoral research aims to examine the role played by gender stereotypes in sport involvement/dropout behaviours according to (1) the indirect pathway, via the internalization of these beliefs during the socialization process (Fredricks & Eccles, 2004) and (2) the direct pathway, via their automatic activation. A research program structured around 8 studies and implicating almost 1300 participants has been conducted. The studies 1 to 3 have confirmed on the one hand that specific beliefs are attached to sport activities and on the other hand, that they are likely to be automatically activated by the brief presentation of feminine activities and to affect the subsequent categorization of names. The studies 4 to 6 have highlighted the significant role played by gender stereotypes in individuals ‘sport involvement, since the endorsement of beliefs in disfavour of one’s own sex-group predicted negatively adolescents’ sport involvement, via the self-perceptions (competence, value). If, none link has been observed between sport-gender implicit association and sport involvement, a self + masculine implicit identity seems to be negatively associated with sport dropout. Finally, the studies 5, 7 and 8 showed that certain explicit stereotypes are malleable under a developmental perspective (general stereotype) and after an experimental manipulation (stereotype related to competence), but did not reveal any developmental pattern, nor sensibility to the experimental manipulation concerning the sport-gender implicit association

Анотація:

Cette étude décrit des situations représentatives d’Esprit sportif ou d’un Manque d’Esprit sportif en éducation physique. Au total, 158 élèves du secondaire ont rapporté 269 évènements marquants (134 positifs; 135 négatifs) à l’aide de la Technique des incidents critiques (Brunelle, Drouin, Godbout & Tousignant, 1988). Une analyse de contenu à modèle ouvert (L’Écuyer, 1988) a mené à l’émergence de cinq dimensions: l’Entraide envers des coéquipiers ou des adversaires (42,8%), le Respect envers les adversaires et partenaires et le matériel (21,9%), l’Équité lors de situations d’apprentissage (20,8%), l’Honnêteté (8,2%) et la Ténacité (6,3%). L’absence d’Esprit sportif chez les élèves s’exprime surtout par un manque d’Équité, d’Entraide et de Respect entre les élèves. Ces résultats invitent les éducateurs physiques à reconsidérer certaines des conditions d’apprentissage rapportées par leurs élèves.
This study reports situations where sportsmanship is or is not used in high school physical education (PE) classes. A total of 158 high school students reported 269 significant events (134 positive, 135 negative) using the Critical Incident Technique (Brunelle, Drouin, Godbout & Tousignant, 1988). A content analysis of open model (L'Ecuyer, 1988) has led to the emergence of five dimensions: Support to teammates or opponents (42,8%), Respect of opponents, partners and/or equipment (21,9%) Equity between students inside a learning situation (20,8%), Honesty (8,2%) and Tenacity (6,3%). For those students, the absence of sportsmanship in PE is expressed primarily by a lack of Equity, Support and respect between students. These results invite physical educators to reconsider some of the learning circumstances as reported by their students.

354871\u Les habiletés de vie permettent aux jeunes de faire face efficacement aux exigences et défis de la vie quotidienne (Organisation Mondiale de la Santé, OMS, 1999). Dans le domaine de la psychologie du sport, les habiletés de vie sont considérées comme des attributs mentaux, émotionnels et sociaux, des caractéristiques et comportements que les athlètes développent ou améliorent par la participation sportive et qui ont le potentiel d’être transférés dans d’autres contextes non sportifs (Danish et al., 2004). Malgré l’aspect fondamental de la notion de transfert au sein même de la définition des habiletés de vie, celle-ci n’est pas encore intégrée de façon concrète par les différents chercheurs qui étudient et contribuent au développement d’habiletés de vie des athlètes. Au cours des deux dernières années, un intérêt croissant pour le transfert des habiletés de vie a pu être observé dans les écrits scientifiques, illustré par la proposition de plusieurs modèles, ainsi que la publication de plusieurs études visant à explorer et expliquer ce processus. Dans cette perspective, cette thèse a pour objectif principal d’analyser le concept des habiletés de vie apprises en contexte sportif et transférées dans d’autres contextes de vie. Le premier article a pour but d’examiner les expériences des patineuses artistiques et de leur entraîneure en ce qui concerne le développement et le transfert d’habiletés de vie. Une étude de cas multiples a été réalisée auprès de quatre cas, chacun étant composé d’une entraîneure et de deux de leurs athlètes. Deux entretiens semi-structurés ont été menés avec chaque participante. Les résultats ont révélé que les patineuses acquéraient un large éventail d’habiletés de vie tels que la persévérance, la fixation d’objectifs, la régulation émotionnelle ainsi que le respect qui ont été développées principalement en raison des exigences du sport. En outre, le transfert des habiletés de vie s’est opéré implicitement à travers des changements dans la personnalité des patineuses renforcés par des discussions avec les entraîneurs, les parents et les consultants en préparation mentale. Ces résultats suggèrent que la complexité du développement et du transfert des habiletés de vie nécessite une approche intégrant les différents acteurs clés qui font partie du cadre sportif de l’athlète. Le deuxième article a pour but de procéder à une revue systématique de la littérature afin d’identifier les preuves empiriques concernant le transfert des habiletés de vie au sein la recherche en sport et en activité physique. Nos travaux ont été guidés par les méthodes standard applicables aux revues systématiques Cochrane (Higgins, 2011). Sur la base de l’interprétation des données, 126 habiletés de vie personnelles et interpersonnelles ont été décrites dans la littérature comme étant utilisées par les participants dans d’autres contextes de la vie tels que l’école, la maison et d’autres sports. De plus, les stratégies des entraîneurs et les caractéristiques des participants ont été identifiées comme facilitant le transfert des habiletés de vie, alors que le manque de temps pour comprendre pleinement une habileté de vie ainsi que les attitudes négatives des enseignants ont été citées comme l’entravant. Enfin, plusieurs caractéristiques de programmes d’enseignement des habiletés de vie ont été identifiées comme influençant le transfert des habiletés de vie en dehors des programmes. Ainsi, le fait que les programmes soient conçus pour favoriser le développement, mais aussi le transfert des habiletés de vie de façon explicite favorise ce dernier. Aussi, le transfert des habiletés de vie est facilité par le fait que l’instructeur offrant le programme soit formé à l’enseignement des habiletés de vie et qu’il soutienne les participants. Enfin, la manière dont les relations entre les participants ont été créées au sein du programme ont été présentés comme favorisant le transfert habiletés de vie. Globalement, cette thèse est, à notre connaissance, le premier projet de recherche à étudier la notion de transfert des habiletés de vie du point de vue d’athlètes féminins et de leur entraîneure au sein de la même étude. De plus, ce projet de recherche, grâce à une revue systématique, offre une vue d’ensemble des connaissances actuelles disponibles sur le transfert des habiletés de vie afin de mieux orienter les futures recherches. La contribution de ces deux articles est discutée dans la conclusion générale de la thèse et ouvre la voie à des avenues futures de recherche.

L’objectif de ce mémoire est d’explorer les liens entre la conformité aux normes de l’éthique du sport et les expériences de violence sexuelle des jeunes athlètes en contexte sportif. Les athlètes sélectionnés sont des adolescents canadiens entre 13 et 18 ans qui pratiquent un sport organisé (N=1140). Ils ont répondu à un questionnaire en ligne comprenant deux échelles validées soit : le Violence Toward Athletes Questionnaire (VTAQ) mesurant les expériences de violence sexuelle des pairs et de l’entraîneur ainsi que le Conformity to the Sport Ethic Scale (CSES) mesurant la conformité aux normes de l’éthique du sport (recherche de distinction, sacrifice de soi et refus d’accepter les limites). Une analyse de régression logistique a permis d’explorer les liens entre les variables en fonction du sexe et du type de sport pratiqué (collectif et individuel). Les résultats montrent qu’une augmentation de la conformité à la norme d’aspirer à la distinction augmente la probabilité de vivre de la violence sexuelle des coéquipiers. L’augmentation de la conformité à cette norme augmente également la probabilité de vivre de la violence sexuelle de l’entraîneur en sport collectif, tandis qu’elle diminue la probabilité d’en vivre en sport individuel. Enfin, en sport individuel, l’augmentation de la conformité à la norme du sacrifice de soi accroit la probabilité de vivre de la violence sexuelle de l’entraîneur. Les résultats de ce mémoire confirment l’existence d’un lien entre la conformité à l’éthique du sport et les expériences de violence sexuelle des athlètes en contexte sportif. Finalement, puisque dans le cadre de ce mémoire, l’éthique du sport est définie comme une représentation socialement apprise de ce qu’est un « vrai athlète » selon la communauté sportive, une intervention au niveau du système de croyances est suggérée afin de diminuer la tolérance de la violence sexuelle en contexte sportif.
The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between conformity to the sport ethic norms and sexual violence experienced by young athletes in the sport environment. Participants are Canadian athletes between 13 and 18 years old involved in an organized sport (N=1140). They completed an online questionnaire including two validated scales: the Violence Toward Athletes Questionnaire (VTAQ) measuring experiences of sexual violence (by peers and coaches) and the Conformity to the Sport Ethic Scale (CSES) measuring conformity to the sport ethic norms (striving for distinction, self-sacrifice, refusing to accept limits). A logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between the variables by sex and type of sport (collective and individual). Results show that increased conformity to the norm of striving for distinction increases the probability of experiencing sexual violence by peers. Increased conformity to this norm increases the probability of experiencing sexual violence by coaches in collective sports, while it decreases the probability of experiencing it in individual sports. Moreover, in individual sports, increased conformity to the norm of self-sacrifice increases the probability of experiencing sexual violence by coaches. The results of this study confirm the existence of an association between conformity to the sport ethic norms and sexual violence experienced by young athletes in the sport environment. As part of this study, the sport ethic is acknowledged as a socially learned representation defining what a “real athlete” is according to the sport community. Therefore, an intervention regarding the belief system is suggested in order to reduce the tolerance of sexual violence in sport.

Nous inscrivant dans la perspective théorique de la norme d’internalité, nous interrogeons ici son existence 1- dans la démarche explicative de jeunes joueurs de football, et 2- dans le jugement évaluatif d’entraineurs de football. Les études 1a et 1b rendent compte de la présence d’une norme d’internalité en football. En considérant la valence des événements, les catégories de l’internalité et les domaines de vie, une activation normative différentielle se dessine. Une deuxième série d’études (Etudes 2a et 2 b) montre que 1- dans une situation de détection les critères sportifs sont prépondérants, 2- dans une situation de titularisation, la dimension normative est centrale. Enfin (Etude 3), nous intéressant à la clairvoyance normative (théoriquement issue de la teneur des pratiques pédagogiques vécues par le sujet), des séances d’entrainement basées sur des approches distinctes (techniciste vs globale) dévoilent un léger effet des pratiques globales sur le niveau de clairvoyance des joueurs
Taking on the perspective of the theory of the norm of internality, we investigate its existence 1) in the causal attributions of young football players, and 2) in the evaluative judgments of football trainers. Studies 1a ans 1b demonstrate the presence of a norm of internality in the field of football. Considering the value of events, the categories of internality, and life domains, a differential normative activation appears. A second set of studies (studies 2a and 2b) show that 1) in a situation of detection, athletic criteria are predominant, while 2) in a situation of inclusion in a team, the normative dimension is central. Finally (study 3), focusing on normative clearsightedness (theoretically based on the content of educational applications experienced by the individual), trainig sessions employing separate methods (technical versus global) reveal a modest effect of globals methods on the degree of players’ normative clearsightedness

L’objectif de cette thèse était d’analyser la relation entre la motivation et la performance dans le contexte sportif en s’appuyant sur la théorie de l’autodétermination (Deci & Ryan, 1985). Les cinq premières études ont permis de développer et de valider un questionnaire permettant de mesurer les perceptions de compétence, d’autonomie et d’appartenance sociale dans le contexte sportif. L’objectif de la sixième étude était de montrer que des différences motivationnelles pouvaient apparaître en fonction de la nature de l’activité (i. E. , loisir ou compétition), du sexe des pratiquants, du sport pratiqué (i. E. , individuel ou collectif) et du niveau de pratique (i. E. , départemental, régional ou national). La septième recherche visait à analyser les relations entre les perceptions de compétence, d’autonomie et d’affiliation, et la motivation autodéterminée dans différents contextes. Un modèle motivationnel de la performance sportive s’appuyant sur le modèle hiérarchique de la motivation intrinsèque et extrinsèque (Vallerand, 1997) a été testé dans la huitième étude. Dans la neuvième étude, nous voulions montrer qu’il était possible de prédire la performance sportive en identifiant des profils motivationnels à l’aide d’une analyse en cluster. Enfin, une dixième étude a permis d’analyser l’influence des comportements de l’entraîneur sur la motivation et la performance des athlètes
The purpose of this doctoral dissertation was to analyze the relationship between motivation and performance in the sport domain based on self-determination theory (Deci & Ryan, 1985). The first five studies aimed at developing and validating a questionnaire designed to assess perceptions of competence, autonomy, and relatedness in the sport context. The purpose of study 6 was to examine the relationships between competitive and recreational sport structures, gender, individual and team sports, level of competition, sport motivation and athletes’ perceptions of autonomy, competence and relatedness. The purpose of study 7 was to test the relationships between perceptions of competence, autonomy and relatedness, and self- determined motivation in various environmental conditions. In study 8, a motivational model of sport performance based on the hierarchical model of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation (Vallerand, 1997) was tested. Study 9 investigated whether assessing adolescent elite athletes’ motivational profiles at the beginning of the season would allow us to predict their performance during the subsequent season. Finally, in a last study, we analyzed the influence of coach’s behaviors on athletes’ motivation and performance

Анотація:

L’événement est un sujet rarement pris comme objet de recherche. Banalisé, il semble aller de soi. Cette absence de définition témoigne à la fois d’un manque de compréhension et de la difficulté de se saisir de ce « fait social ». Dans le domaine sportif, il est cependant un objet de convoitise pour son potentiel décrété de différenciation et d’avantages pressentis. Si les techniques de partenariat telles que le sponsoring, le mécénat et de relations publiques sont au niveau de leurs organisations plutôt bien connues, elles sont curieusement loin d’avoir révélé toutes leurs richesses du point de vue « communicationnel ».L’objectif de ce travail de recherche est donc d’identifier les mécanismes de la communication durant différentes formes d'événements sportifs. Entre manifestations internationales, d’entreprise ou séminaires sportifs (‘team building’, ‘incentive’, gratification, etc.), l’événement est au cœur d’un système relationnel complexe. Comme le souligne Edgar Morin pour comprendre cette complexité, il est nécessaire de changer de paradigme afin d’en saisir le sens. La relation alors invisible, demande un positionnement de recherche phénoménologique, compréhensif et constructiviste (Le Moigne).Ce « fait humain » est ainsi conçu comme un processus de contextualisation d’éléments situationnels. L’acteur social réinvente donc une nouvelle définition de la situation à laquelle il prend part en mettant en relation différents « artefacts ». Aussi, un courant de pensée en sciences de l’information et de la communication, prolongeant les travaux de l’Ecole de Palo Alto (Watzlawick & coll.), s'appuie sur de nouvelles méthodes d’analyse systémique qualitative et sémiotique situationnelle des communications pour comprendre la genèse du sens partagé par un ensemble d’acteurs en présence (Mucchielli).Les résultats obtenus par cette recherche originale proposent, en complémentarité des travaux effectués par ailleurs (Ferrand, Tribou, etc.), de revisiter un certain nombre de concepts comme la persuasion, l’influence, la modification, etc. du point de vue de l’acteur par la notion de communication territorialisée. Pour les sciences du management comme pour les sciences et techniques des activités physiques et sportives, ces nouvelles pistes de recherche s’inscrivent dans une « praxéologie » de la communication pour une meilleure compréhension de l’action et de son contexte (Quéré)
Event is a subject rarely considered as object of research topic. Trivialized, it seems obvious. This lack of definition shows both a lack of understanding and a difficulty in tacking "social action". In sport, however, it is an object of lust decreed for its potential benefits of differentiation and considered advantages. If techniques such as sponsoring, sponsorship and public relations are pretty well known within their organizations, curiously, they have far from having revealed all their wealth in terms "communicational".The objective of this research is to identify the mechanisms of different forms of communication during sporting events. In international events, business seminars or sports (team building, incentive, gratuity, etc.), the event is at the heart of a complex relational system. As Edgar Morin points out to understand this complexity, it is necessary to change the paradigm in order to understand the meaning. The then invisible relationship requires positioning of phenomenological research, understanding and constructivism (Le Moigne).This "human fact" reads as a process of contextualisation of situational factors. Therefore, the social subject reinvents a new definition of the situation he is involved in linking various "artifacts". Also, a stream of thought in information and communication science, extending the work of the Palo Alto School (Watzlawick & coll.), is based on new methods of systems analysis and qualitative semiotic situational communications to understand the genesis of meaning shared by a group of subjects involved (Mucchielli).The results of this original research offering, in complementing the work done elsewhere (Ferrand, Tribou, etc.), to revisit a number of concepts such as persuasion, influence, change, etc. from the perspective of the subject by the notion of communication territorialized. For management as science and STAPS, these new avenues of research are part of a "praxeology" of communication for a better understanding of the action and its context (Quéré)

L’objet principal de ce travail est d’étudier l’influence de l’anxiété et des stratégies de coping sur les processus attentionnels dans le cadre de la compétition sportive. Ainsi, cette recherche se présente en deux parties où les effets de l’anxiété (anxiété-état et trait) et du style de coping sur les processus attentionnels à différentes étapes du traitement de l’information sont abordés de manière distincte. Une tâche de détection de sondes a été utilisée pour mesurer les biais attentionnels. Afin d’étudier l’évolution de ces biais, deux conditions d’exposition ont été employées : une condition brève suivie d’un masque (SOA 28 ms) et une condition longue sans masque (SOA 1500 ms). 145 sportifs (Mâge = 26,00, s = 8,89) ont participé à cette recherche. Les principaux résultats révèlent un effet d’interaction de l’anxiété-état et trait sur les patterns attentionnels en condition subliminale, alors qu’en condition supraliminale, un effet du facteur anxiété-état ainsi que du facteur coping est mis en évidence
The main object of this work is to study the influence of anxiety and strategies of coping on the attentional processes within the framework of the sporting competition. Thus, this search arises in two parts where effects of the anxiety (anxiety-state and feature) and of the style of coping on the attentional processes at various stages of the information processing are approached in manner distinct. A probe detection task was used to measure attentional bias. To study the evolution of these bias, two conditions of exposition were used: a short condition followed of a mask (SOA 28 ms) and an unmasked (SOA 1500 ms) long condition. 145 sportsmen (Mage = 26. 00, s = 8,89) took part in this search. The main results show an interaction effect of the anxiety-state and anxiety-trait on the attentional patterns in subliminal condition, whereas in supraliminal condition, an effect of the anxiety-state factor as of the coping factor is highlighted

Alors que plusieurs chercheurs se sont intéressés au discours interne comme stratégie pour améliorer la performance sportive, peu d’études ont porté sur le discours interne automatique des athlètes juniors d’élite en compétition. De plus, bien que l’expérience des parents s’avère importance à étudier, le contenu de leur discours interne lors des compétitions de leur enfant n’a pas été documenté jusqu’à présent. Cette thèse se penche sur le discours interne automatique des joueurs de tennis juniors d’élite et de leur parent le plus impliqué, en lien avec les émotions vécues pour les événements jugés importants des matchs d’un tournoi de tennis. En guise de premier article, une synthèse critique de l’état de la littérature sur le discours interne en contexte sportif a été réalisée. Il a identifié les principales conclusions et les limites des recherches afin de soulever les avenues de recherche future. L’importance d’étudier en profondeur le discours interne automatique en contexte de compétition a notamment été mise de l’avant. Le deuxième article rapporte une analyse thématique du discours interne automatique de joueurs de tennis juniors d’élite pour des événements jugés importants d’un tournoi de tennis. Des entretiens semi-structurés ont été réalisés auprès de six joueurs de tennis âgés de 14 à 17 ans, après le dernier match disputé lors d’un tournoi d’envergure. Durant ces entretiens, les participants ont été interrogés au sujet de leur discours interne et de leurs émotions pour les événements jugés importants de leurs matchs. L’analyse thématique, guidée par l’approche de Miles, Huberman, et Saldaña (2013), a révélé la présence de huit catégories de discours interne : (a) émotion positive (b) inquiétudes (c) ruminations (d) pression de performance (e) désengagement (f) motivationnel (g) cognitif et (h) contrôle émotionnel. L’importance accordée aux émotions a permis de relever que certaines catégories de discours interne représentent l’expression de l’émotion vécue (p. ex. ruminations) alors que d’autres formes de discours interne sont utilisées par l’athlète dans le but de s’autoréguler et gérer une émotion (p. ex. contrôle émotionnel). Parmi les catégories identifiées, deux d’entre elles (c.-à-d. les ruminations et le discours interne lié à la pression de performer) n’avaient pas été observées jusqu’à présent dans la littérature sur le discours interne. La présence de nouvelles catégories pourrait s’expliquer notamment par la réalité propre à l’expérience unique et au contexte des joueurs de tennis interrogés, de même que la méthodologie novatrice employée. Le troisième article présente une étude de cas multiple portant sur le contenu du discours interne automatique de joueurs de tennis junior d’élite et de leur parent durant les matchs d’un tournoi. Les entretiens individuels semistructurés réalisés auprès de deux cas contrastes parmi les six joueurs (un cas étant représenté par un joueur de tennis et son parent le plus impliqué) ont été sélectionnés pour cette étude. Les résultats ont été analysés suivant la stratégie de l’étude de cas multiple (Yin, 2014) combinée à l’enquête de narration (Polkinghorne, 1995). L’analyse du discours interne révèle que son contenu est lié à l’expérience émotionnelle des joueurs et des parents selon les événements jugés importants durant les matchs. Les analyses intracas révèlent qu’il existe une similarité quant à l’importance de gagner les matchs dans le discours interne du premier cas alors qu’une tendance plus prononcée à s’autoréguler se reflète dans celui du second cas. Ces similarités amènent à s’interroger sur l’influence des parents dans l’importance que les athlètes accordent à gagner et dans les stratégies qu’ils utilisent pour s’autoréguler. Les analyses intercas révèlent la présence de différences entre les joueurs et entre les parents, pouvant être comprises à la lumière de leur profil respectif. Sur la base de ces résultats, il semble important de s’intéresser aux différences individuelles dans l’étude du discours interne. Ce projet de thèse est, à notre connaissance, le premier projet à étudier le phénomène du discours interne automatique chez des joueurs de tennis juniors d’élite et de leur parent à l’aide d’une méthodologie novatrice. Ce projet offre un portrait riche et détaillé du discours interne automatique des joueurs et des parents interrogés.

This text tends to shed light on the current position and role of sport, as a kind of contemporary phenomenon, which follows the outlines of dominant global trends, but which, therefore, causes various consequences for individuals, groups and entire societies. It is the result of the analysis of this phenomenon done during the preparation of the master thesis “Sport as a Phenomenon of Contemporary Culture” at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, and therefore includes one part of it. In considering the phenomenon itself, it starts from the perspective of contemporary cultural studies and tries to see the place of sport in current social movements. Thus, the accent is on its place and role, and also on the causes and consequences of the process of which it is obviously a part of. Starting from its primary features and functions, the focus is on those elements that are an evident part of every sporting event today; the positive ones, which encourage models of behaviour that bring the modern individual closer to the ancient ideals of the athlete, but also the negative ones, which are the reverse of such aspirations, and which today, due to these global trends, are accompanied by the race for money and popularity. These are negativities that have become a completely acceptable component of sport over time, and the consequences of which, however, are not talked about enough, although they are often in the foreground, pushing to the margin those original motives of chivalry and Olympism. In that way, the very essence of the existence of sport and sports competitions is gradually being suppressed.

Анотація:

Anti-doping programs are implemented for the purpose of preservation of the essential value in sports, which is often termed „spirit of sport“ and represents the foundation of Olympism. Therefore, doping is fundamentally opposed to the spirit of sport. Anti-doping programs directed towards the children aged 8 to 12 years have a teaching character, with the aim of the education about the values of respect, equity, and inclusion. During the last three decades, the use of doping substances by adolescents and individuals who cannot be recognized as athletes in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code has become a significant problem in modern society. Physical education teachers and sports coaches should have special training to be able to recognize behavioural symptoms in their students or clients as potential users of doping substances. All the adverse effects of doping substances use on physical and psychological health should be explained in detail in a plastic, vivid, and concrete way, stressing the seriousness and long-lasting nature of these effects. Since the use of doping frequently starts in the period of early adolescence, the education to fight it should be introduced as early as the school age.

An essay is rooted in the exploration of broader complex context of the phenomenon of phys-ical motion and sportive activities in contemporary sedentary society. It is at that time the topical problem of pointed parenting styles that is freshen and enliven in the context of edu-cational support aiming to active life orientation, including regular sportive activities. The spe-cific accents and educational methods of parenting are playing crucial role in this respect at the level of authoritative, authoritarian, liberal and neglecting styles (Sekot, 2019). Parenting styles prefiguring motivation of children to regular sportive activities and responsible attitude to life. And such process is going under way of socialization factors and impacts, bringing up to date the sociological links and context of mutual relation to motivation of children and youth to sport also in the context of organizational sportive activities out of the family. Now-adays we face forming socially and culturally determined relation child – parents – trainer (coach). Like this relation yields in the context of the climate of consumerist postmodern soci-ety adoring top elite athletes. Such cultural milieu forms potential conflicts of interests of mo-tivation, experience and pointing separate participants of such „triangle“. Given situation aim our effort to the crucial topic of parental responsibility as well as to growing educational and socialization importance of trainers and coaches. During the synergic process are pervaded practical aspects of the importance of age and motivation; but parental role is in this respect utterly essential and indispensable. Parental role is growing when parents play modelling role by way of mutual sportive activities with children. Thus, as it is in the essay substantiate with relevant research pieces of information and empirical data on parental role in motivation of children to regular physical activity and sport.

Recently, there has been a strong effort regarding all sports organizations in order to reduce the universality and frequency of doping in sport. However, the efficacy of current strategies to fight against doping might be improved by using anti-doping polices adjusted to the features of doping in each sport. Contemporary sports activity is regarded as a complex phenomenon that involves both physical components, as well as a variety of medical, legal or economic aspects. In recent times, sport worldwide is marked by severe discussions on doping and its effects. In this context, athletes and team members must know the facts that may empower violations of anti-doping legislation and regulations on the doping control procedure. The acquisition of these legal and medical rules will motivate the development of sports, with the effect of preventing risks represented by the doping phenomenon.

The main task of vocational education institutions is to implement the relevant knowledge and skills, alongside the acquisition of primary or secondary education. In the context of sports schools, the main emphasis is on achieving results in tournaments, games, and competitions. However, in parallel with the implementation of the sports field, the task of sports schools is to promote the opportunities and desires of students in the field of education. The author points out that too much emphasis is placed on the realization of sports goals, without paying attention to the accents of students’ personal development – for example, the importance of education. The aim of the research is related to the actualization of education in the context of sports schools. Two main guidelines are emphasized – the interest of sports schools in educating students, as well as the athletes’ own opinion about the education and its connection with sport. Within the framework of the research, the author wants to analyze the obtained data correlations. For example, the relationship between students’ current progress and their desire to continue their studies at university. Analyze the results and make recommendations to improve the situation. Data were collected from three professional sports schools in Latvia – Vidzeme and Riga region. The total number of respondents is 147. The survey was conducted anonymously, with respondents aged 13–16 years. Data processed using Windows SPSS and Microsoft Exel programs.

Анотація:

The wide variety of the components of signs stems from verbal communication to visual gestures, ciphers, images, music, and Morse code. Barthes’ Semiotic Theory restructured the theory of analyzing signs and allowed for a new understanding and interpretation of signs through seeing diverse cultures and societies. Saussure’s definition of the sign as a combination of signifier and signified led Barthes to further elucidate sign as connotative (cultural) and denotative (literal) processes. Semiotics can be applied to all aspects of life, as meaning is produced not in isolation but in totality, establishing multiple connotations and denotations. In the article “The World of Wrestling” published in Mythologies (1957), Barthes focused on images portrayed by the wrestler resulting in understanding of the wrestler’s image and the image of spectator. In Morse code, gestures can make any sport a spectacle of suffering, defeat and justice, representation of morality, symbols, anger, smile, passion etc., from which derive denotative and connotative meanings. Similarly, Thomas Sebeok identifies sign as one of six factors in communication, and which makes up the rich domain of semiotic research. These are message, source, destination, channel, code, and context. Studiul nominalizărilor verbale s-a bucurat de o atenție sporită din partea lingviștilor începând cu a doua jumătate a secolului al XX-lea. Aceste unități lexicale, prin natura duală, verbală și nominală, formează o clasă distincte de substantive. Deverbalele înregistrează o frecvență sporită în textul religios, în speță în imnele-acatist. În demersul nostru de inventariere a substantivelor deverbale specifice textelor imnografice românești, am remarcat că o parte dintre unitățile lexicale excerptate aparțin limbajului terminologic creștin. În concordanță cu ideea expusă supra, vom sublinia că în interiorul acatistelor cele mai numeroase substantive deverbale – termeni religioși sunt de origine latină. Acatistele românești conțin numeroși termeni creați prin nominalizare verbală, care pot fi grupați în funcție de câteva sfere de denotare: terminologie festivă; elemente doctrinare; elemente liturgice; elemente ritualistice; terminologia festivă; obiecte de cult.

В статье анализируется практика принятия решений CAS в отношении критериев признания статуса юрисдикционных решений для писем и сообщений органов спортивных федераций. Кроме того, дается определение понятия "решения", данное в соответствии с практикой CAS. При этом по существу рассматриваются форма и содержание решений международных спортивных федераций, передаваемых субъекту спорта. The article analyzes the practice of CAS decision-making in relation to the criteria for recognizing the status of jurisdictional decisions for letters and messages of Sports Federations' bodies. In addition, the article provides a definition of the concept of “decision”, given in accordance with the CAS practice. At the same time, the form and content of decisions of international sports federations transmitted to the subject of sport are considered in essence.

Анотація:

A variety of machine learning models have been proposed to assess the performance of players in professional sports. However, they have only a limited ability to model how player performance depends on the game context. This paper proposes a new approach to capturing game context: we apply Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) to learn an action-value Q function from 3M play-by-play events in the National Hockey League (NHL). The neural network representation integrates both continuous context signals and game history, using a possession-based LSTM. The learned Q-function is used to value players' actions under different game contexts. To assess a player's overall performance, we introduce a novel Game Impact Metric (GIM) that aggregates the values of the player's actions. Empirical Evaluation shows GIM is consistent throughout a play season, and correlates highly with standard success measures and future salary.

There is seemingly an abundance of leadership opportunities available to youth within school environments, including sport captaincy, sport coaching, prefect roles, and assigned arts or cultural leadership. For many students, the opportunity to captain a sports team, or lead an event or activity is perceived as their first taste of leadership action. However, as evidenced in a growing body of literature (Jackson & Parry, 2011), leadership is increasingly being conceived as much more than an assigned formal position. Furthermore, there is some evidence to suggest that formal leadership roles may be presenting barriers for students wishing to access leadership opportunities in a more informal capacity (McNae, 2011). In this conceptual article, we examine the value and nature of informal leadership practices, and from this, identify questions of access to leadership for youth in secondary school settings. Specifically, the aim of our paper is to advance current conceptualisations about youth leadership and to offer future research directions (via questions) to establish a deeper evidence base for better understanding access to leadership for youth. To achieve this, we explore three interrelated themes: leadership practices and accessibility for youth; learning through leadership for youth; youth access and the notion that leadership belongs to everybody. As a result of the platform provided by our conceptualising, a series of questions are presented for future research. Directions for future research relate to understanding more about formal and informal leadership opportunities in the secondary school context, what we will hear when we listen to the student’s voice about access to these opportunities, and how informal leadership opportunities might influence overall access to leadership for students.

Review question / Objective: The Effect of β-alanine Supplementation on Athletic Performance in Female Athletes: a Systematic Review of Randomized Control Trials. Condition being studied: β-alanine is an endogenously produced non-proteinogenic amino acid that can also be obtained through the consumption of foods such as meat. The ergogenic effect of β-alanine supplementation is linked to the levels of carnosine (a cytoplasmatic dipeptide to which β-alanine is a precursor). It has become one of the most common sports nutrition ergogenic aids, with typical doses at about 4 to 6 g per day that are ideal to elevate muscle carnosine concentrations by up 80%. This elevation happens regardless of high or low baseline levels (common in vegetarians, women and in older subjects) and chronic supplementation (and the associated increase of muscle carnosine levels) is known to be of particular interest in improving high-intensity exercise performance by enhancing intracellular H+ buffering, reducing muscle acidosis. It has been mostly proposed as beneficial in exercises between 60 seconds and 4 minutes, but some positive effects have been noted in other sport-related outcomes. The fact that women tend to have less muscle carnosine content then man, in addition to other characteristics of the female athlete, highlights the importance of understanding if the outcomes and magnitude of the effects already found and stablished in male athletes are, in fact, equivalent in the female athlete.

Review question / Objective: The aim of this scoping review is to scope the body of literature, clarify concepts, investigate research conduct and to identify knowledge gaps about the physical activity (PA) behavior in a context of planetary health. The proposed study will review the existing literature considering PA beyond the scope of mere health behaviour, focusing on its potential impacts on planetary health and sustainable development. We will differentiate the PA behavior of the PA facilities or context like green-space or blue-space. Specific objectives are to provide knowledge about: 1. Which PA behaviors are sustainable for the planet and which are not. 2. What are the characteristics of sustainable PA behaviors. 3. What are the positive and negative impacts of PA behaviors on planetary health. Condition being studied: In this case, it is studied how the active lifestyle and the practice of physical activities, exercise or sports of people affect planetary health.

The article analyzes the phenomenon of augmented reality (AR) in education. AR is a new technology that complements the real world with the help of computer data. Such content is tied to specific locations or activities. Over the last few years, AR applications have become available on mobile devices. AR becomes available in the media (news, entertainment, sports). It is starting to enter other areas of life (such as e-commerce, travel, marketing). But education has the biggest impact on AR. Based on the analysis of scientific publications, the authors explored the possibilities of using augmented reality in education. They identified means of augmented reality for teaching computer science at school. Such programs and services allow students to observe the operation of computer systems when changing their parameters. Students can also modify computer hardware for augmented reality objects and visualize algorithms and data processes. The article describes the content of author training for practicing teachers. At this event, some applications for training in AR technology were considered. The possibilities of working with augmented reality objects in computer science training are singled out. It is shown that the use of augmented reality provides an opportunity to increase the realism of research; provides emotional and cognitive experience. This all contributes to engaging students in systematic learning; creates new opportunities for collaborative learning, develops new representations of real objects.

The Conference on the Future of Europe, which was finally launched on 9 May 2021, has opened “a new space for debate with citizens to address Europe’s challenges and priorities”. The initiative uses three channels for citizens’ participation: the Multilingual digital platform, European Citizens’ Panels, and Conference Plenary. Content-wise it is grounded on the indicative list of nine topics covering wide range of areas from climate change to sports. This blog post draws attention to the importance of involving national minorities in the process, both regarding participation and issues covered. The Conference should strive to reach out to various population groups, including the ones in minority or marginalized position. Moreover, the Conference could serve as a good opportunity to reconsider the EU’s position with regard to the protection of national minorities: in a complex and increasingly diverse Europe, the EU has to take responsibility and search for innovative models of diversity management, including the protection of national minorities. Provided that it leads to some tangible action, the Conference might be a valuable step forward.
