Resumo: O presente trabalho teve como objetivo, ampliar os conhecimentos a respeito da constituição química e atividades biológicas da espécie Tynanthus micranthus Corr. Mello ex Schum. (Bignoniaceae), além de verificar através de ensaios farmacológicos, a atividade afrodisíaca desta planta, conforme sua utilização popular. Após o preparo dos extratos brutos e frações: isolou-se por cromatografia em coluna da fração hexânica das folhas o Dotriacontane e verificou-se sua atividade imunológica através do ensaio com nitroazul de tetrazólio; avaliou-se a atividade hemolítica dos extratos brutos e frações frente hemácias de carneiro; analisou-se a atividade antioxidante das frações hidroalcoólicas remanescentes através de ensaios enzimáticos; e avaliou-se a influência do extrato bruto do caule e folhas sobre o comportamento sexual de camundongos machos adultos. A substância dotriacontane, identificada por Ressonância Magnética Nuclear, demonstrou ativar neutrófilos em todas as concentrações testadas. A fração hexânica do caule apresentou atividade hemolítica sobre hemácias de carneiro, resultado estatisticamente igual ao controle positivo. A fração hidroalcoólica das folhas protegeu os eritrócitos contra o estresse oxidativo, mantendo o nível das enzimas oxidativas em condições normais na análise antioxidante. Na avaliação da atividade afrodisíaca, os animais tratados com os extratos apresentaram uma diminuição sobre a latência de monta, aumento da frequência de monta e melhora na decisão de monta. Os resultados obtidos confirmam a importância em se aprofundar os estudos sobre esta espécie, pouco estudada, além de agregar indícios para a comprovação de sua utilização como planta afrodisíaca. Abstract: This work aimed to expand knowledge about the chemical constitution and biological activity of the species Tynanthus micranthus Corr. Mello ex Schum. (Bignoniaceae), and verify through pharmacological tests, the aphrodisiac activity of this plant, as its popular use. After preparation of the crude extracts and fractions: from the hexane extract of the leaves was isolated by column chromatography the dotriacontane, which was tested for its immune activity by testing with nitroblue tetrazolium; the hemolytic activity of extracts and fractions was evaluated against sheep erythrocytes; the antioxidant activity of the remaining hydroalcoholic fractions was analyzed by enzymatic assays; and it was evaluated the influence of the crude extract of the stem and leaves on the sexual behavior of adult male mice. The dotriacontane substance, identified by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, demonstrated activate neutrophils at all concentrations tested. The hexane extract of the stem showed hemolytic activity on sheep erythrocytes statistically equal to the positive control. The hydroalcoholic fraction of leaves protected the erythrocytes against oxidative stress maintaining the level of oxidative enzymes normal in antioxidant analysis. In assessing the aphrodisiac activity, animals treated with the extracts showed a decrease on the latency of mounts, increased frequency of mounts and improvement at the decision of mount. The results confirm the importance of deepening the studies on this species, little studied, as well as adding evidence to corroborate its use as an aphrodisiac.
