Анотація:
The purpose of the article is to develop proposals for intensifying the development of innovative entrepreneurship in Ukraine. The importance of intensifying innovative entrepreneurship is recognized by any business entity, because new innovative ideas, solutions embodied in a particular product can provide competitive advantages. The presence of entrepreneurial initiative by business entities, the use of effective tools to stimulate innovation, creativity and effectiveness of innovation can significantly enhance innovation entrepreneurship and overall efficiency of the innovation process. The methodological basis of this work is the synthesis of general scientific methods of theoretical and empirical research (method of cognition, analysis and synthesis, generalization and systematization of information). Results. Innovative entrepreneurship covers all stages of the innovation cycle: from the initiation of a new idea to obtaining specific results from the market use of the product. The main subjects of innovative entrepreneurship can be any enterprises and organizations that carry out innovative activities or are innovatively active. To develop effective measures to intensify innovative entrepreneurship, first of all, it is advisable to focus on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of innovative entrepreneurship, as well as opportunities and threats for its intensification in Ukraine. In this sense, it is important to assess the current level of innovation process, its staffing and financial resources, the level of innovation infrastructure, the establishment of integration relations between the main participants in the innovation process, the effectiveness of innovation, demand for innovative products and more. Practical implications. The analysis allowed us to reveal certain results. The strengths of the possible activation of the innovative enterprise include: the presence of a high level of personnel component of scientific potential, which characterizes the ability to generate new ideas; accumulated experience of successful innovation, cooperation between science and business, as evidenced by the main indicators of innovation, the number of innovationactive enterprises and enterprises in industry that implement innovations. Weaknesses for the intensification of innovative entrepreneurship should be highlighted: insufficient funding for science and education; declining trends in almost all performance indicators of innovation, which requires rapid implementation of measures to curb their further development in the field of innovation. Thus, in order to intensify innovative entrepreneurship in the near future, it is advisable to implement a number of measures, the tasks of which cover the following main areas of change: clear awareness of the national economy’s ability to innovate, create conditions for new products, increase its competitiveness; ensuring diversification of sources of financing of innovative activity of enterprises in order to reduce the costs of acquisition and use of innovative products; establishing close and productive interaction of the main participants of innovative entrepreneurship. Value/originality. The use of comprehensive analysis allows to identify the main problems of hidden entrepreneurship, taking into account the specifics of its manifestation in modern conditions.

Purpose. The aim of the article is determined on the basis of a systematic approach and generalization of theoretical and scientific-practical approaches of discovering conceptual bases of formation of mechanisms and determination of economic interpretation of the process and stages of innovative development for the transition from low- to high-tech innovation economy. Methodology of research. Historical, systemic and logical-dialectical approaches have been applied to achieve this goal; the following methods are used: abstract and logical – in setting the goals and objectives of the study; analytical and monographic – when studying literary sources, legislative or other normative legal acts and practices of mechanisms of innovative development; by means of the comparative method the differences in the mechanisms of realization of the state innovation policy of Ukraine and the countries with developed market economy are determined; systematization – at systematization of mechanisms of innovative development of enterprises; statistical and economic – when collecting and processing statistical data; analysis and synthesis – to develop directions for improving the innovative development of enterprises. Findings. Conceptual bases of formation of mechanisms of innovative development of the enterprises are revealed and theoretical and scientific-practical approaches to economic interpretation of the process of innovative development are determined. The essence of innovation development as a systematic management of innovation activity, aimed at shaping and ensuring achievement of economic growth through rational use, increasing and distribution of innovative and economic and technological potential at different stages, namely: in the process of creation and transfer of innovations, development of mass production and financial mechanisms and commercialization of development, legal protection and use of intellectual property objects and establishment of Ukrainian relations Certain innovators with partners, creating favorable conditions for retaining specialists. Originality. It is determined that one of the main tasks of innovative development is to increase the level of innovation activity, which to a certain extent depends on the structural elements of the national innovation ecosystem and stages of innovation development. The scientific and methodological approaches of formation of mechanisms of innovative development are improved, on the basis of consideration of functional connections, ensuring rational use of resources, obtaining synergistic effect of contractual relationships and aggregate investments. Practical value. Formed mechanisms to ensure the activation of innovative development as an orderly set of institutional settings include defining the goals, objectives, increasing the ability to solve problems and attracting investment to ensure the effectiveness of innovation, which allows economic entities to achieve strategic development goals, solve problems of ensuring effective interaction of the state science and business to innovate, and as a systematic process that implements a competitor no benefits, ensuring sustainable growth, improve the quality and standard of living by harmonizing the interests of its members. Sustainable long-term development of the energy sector is impossible without a developed manufacturing industry and especially machine-building enterprises. In this regard, the article based on the analysis of the works of domestic and foreign researchers developed and tested a method for assessing the level of development of innovation in the manufacturing industry, taking into account the volume of output, the degree of involvement of enterprises in the sector of innovation and labor productivity in the production of innovative products. An economic and mathematical model is constructed to determine the degree of influence of socio-economic factors on the level of development of innovative activities in the manufacturing industry.

Urgency of the research. Ensuring the competitiveness of industrial enterprises in Ukraine requires the formation of innovation policy with current trends. Use and commercialization of research results is a prerequisite to market new products and services that will increase the level of innovation activity of industrial enterprises and enhance their competitiveness. Target setting. The current market environment requires activation of innovation as the most productive way to improve the country's competitiveness and its further development. Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Problems enhance innovation received broad enough coverage in the foreign and domestic literature. In foreign labor is I. Blanca L. Vodacheka, J. Schumpeter and others. In domestic – developments V. Heytsya, J. Bazhala, V. Denisyuk, D. Malitskoho, V. Soloviev, L. Fedulova more. The research objective. To analyze the current state and dynamics of innovative development of industrial enterprises of Ukraine and to propose measures that will improve the efficiency of their innovation. The statement of basic materials. The article stated that Ukraine's economy is not very favorable for implementation of scientific and technological innovation due to lack of funding. Therefore, the state and government is the revitalization of innovation. Conclusions. Innovative activity of industrial enterprises in Ukraine in recent years did not factor in the effective restructuring and growth. The strategic task of the Ukrainian economy should be the use of innovative technologies as the only possible way to compete successfully entities.

The article is devoted to topical issues of research of innovative activity at domestic industrial enterprises, its importance for the domestic economy is substantiated. The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state of innovation activity of industrial enterprises and to formulated irections for its improvement. The methodological basis of the study is the current abstraction, analogies and theoretical generalizations - generalization of existing approaches to ensuring the innovative activities of industrial enterprises, justification of the need and highlighting the main problems of introducing innovation processes in domestic enterprises; methods of system, comparative and economic-statistical analysis - to study the state of innovative activity of industrial enterprises of Ukraine; graphic - for visual representation and schematic and graphic construction of theoretical and practical provisions of the study; abstract-logical - for the logical generalization of theoretical principles and formulation of research conclusions. The object of research is innovation. The subject of the research is the current state and directions of increasing the innovative activity of industrial enterprises. Dynamics of innovation activity and process of introduction of innovations in the domestic industryare analyzed. Data on implementation of innovations at domestic enterprises are presented. The structure of sources of financing of innovative activity of industrial enterprises of Ukraine is formed. The factors that impede the activation of innovative activity in modern industrial enterprises are considered. The ways and directions of the problem of activation of innovative development of the enterprises are offered. The directions for innovative activity increase of the industrial enterprises of Ukraine are offered. Thus, based on the conducted research, the most promising areas for increasing the innovative activity of industrial enterprises should be: effective cost management and reducing the cost of production; application of international product certification and standardization of production processes as components of quality management; support of innovation ideas and proposals; improving the level of production organization through the use of upgraded equipment and advanced software; introduction of the latest production technologies and reduction of the duration of the production process; use of modern methodical methods of financial support of innovation activity; introduction of innovative products into the production process and increase their share in the total volume of products; establishing close cooperation with business partners. Conclusions and prospects for further research. Thus, the results of the research indicate the presence of a number of problems in intensifying the innovative activity of industrial enterprises. With the help of the analysis of innovative activity of domestic industrial enterprises the main problems which constrain innovative development of the enterprises are revealed. Mostly financing was carried out at the expense of own funds of enterprises, and the volume of expenditures on innovation activities at the expense of foreign investors, the state budget and lending is observed at a fairly low level. The declining dynamics in the areas of innovation in domestic enterprises and their low share in the volume of industrial production is a manifestation of forced compulsion to increase imports of new equipment and technologies, manufactured products and reduce export operations for domestic innovative products. According to the obtained results the directions directed on activization of innovative activity of the industrial enterprises are formed. The implementation of the proposed measures will significantly increase the level of innovation activity of industrial enterprises in Ukraine, stabilize the accelerated process of renewal of production, effectively use domestic and foreign investment for innovation. Further research on the issue may concern the formation of modern methods of assessing the innovation potential of industrial enterprises and the formation of a mechanism foren hancing the irinnovation activity, which will provide a significant increase in the level of innovation activity of industrial enterprises, stabilization of production renewal processes, expedientuse of internal and attracted external investment ininnovation.

The increased attention to the theoretical issues of activation of innovation processes in the industrial sector is caused by various factors of influence, and primarily by the elimination of the technological gap between Russia and developed foreign industrial countries. To solve this problem, the author suggests focusing the priorities of innovation activity on the activation of high-tech industries. It is shown that domestic enterprises have come close to intensifying the search, development and implementation of the latest technologies, and activation of innovative activities. According to the author, the innovative activity of industrial enterprises primarily depends on the structure of production, enterprise management and organization of innovative activities.

In the world economic space there is a complex transition from industrial technological system to postindustrial, in which the high tech, informatization and knowledge economy takes on the dominating role of the driving forces of development. Naturally, for such a turn of events, economic science was not well prepared, and today there is a certain gap between the practice of accelerated changes and the scientific provision of these processes. First of all, it concerns the development of a strategy and mechanisms for the development of the country's economy and identifying opportunities for realizing its innovative potential by doing innovative management. The researchers consider innovative management in their work in a number of aspects: science and art of innovative management (I. Dichkivska, P. Zavlin); kind of administrative activity in making decisions on innovations (I. Balabanov, M. Yon, V. Stadnik,); management of innovations (N. Kruglov, A. Porshnev); a system of rules of principles, norms, values orientations that regulate various spheres of innovation activity (V. Vasilenko, L. Oholova). In innovative management, the methods of socio-psychological series, heuristic and collegial (I. Ansoff, B. Gates, L. Karuushkha, A. Morita) prevail. There is a change in the general functions, structure and objectives of management (L. Danilenko, L. Oholova), there are special means and forms of organization of innovation activity (V. Vasilenko, L. Vashchenko).The study of literary sources and their generalization shows the importance of this issue, and requires a more in-depth study and analysis of international experience in implementing innovative measures. The research objective. The main purpose of this study is to analyze measures to stimulate innovation development in the countries of the world, assessment of their effectiveness, as well as consideration of the directions on the basis of their activation of innovation activity in Ukraine. The article reveals the essence of the concept of "innovative management", analyzes the international experience in implementing and stimulating the innovation process. Thus, to summarize, it can be concluded that the experience of leading countries in stimulating innovation usually involves quite similar measures, namely: subsidies, tax cuts or, in some cases, tax holidays, payment of a share of R & D expenditure. The following organizations are created: informational, technical, financial support for business engaged in innovation activities. The article presents an analysis of the influence of demographic factors on the development of innovations in the regions of Russia. The relevance of the study is associated with the fact that the Russian economy is distinguished by the presence of a large number of various problems that impede the rapid activation of innovative mechanisms. Not every region has opportunities for an innovative breakthrough. The purpose of the article is to compare the Russian regions (Kalmykia, Buryatia) in terms of the characteristics of the main demographic processes and their influence on the innovative development of regions. The article analyzes the following demographic indicators: population size, birth and death rates, age structure, working-age population, etc. The main research methods are the comparative method, analysis of statistical information. Analysis of the data presented showed that complex demographic processes are taking place in the republics. High migration outflow of the population, high mortality rate, a decrease in the share of the working-age population, migration of the rural population — all this affects the demographic potential of the region and, accordingly, the indicators of innovation development.

Formation of a competitive economy in the age of information technologies is based on the economy digitalization. Activation of Ukraine's European integration progress and the use of the world's leading technologies require economic development acceleration, which is based on the innovations application in all national economy sectors. The telecommunications industry has strategic importance for ensuring sustainable development, stable industrial and social spheres functioning in Ukraine. Progressive development of science, engineering and technologies, innovation and high knowledge intensity of modern production make special demands as for the ways of telecommunication enterprises development. With deepening of globalization and competition constant intensification, the foundation of telecommunication enterprises functioning are innovations which are enabling their innovative development. Formation of innovative development paradigm of telecommunication enterprises development involves: regulatory and legal support of innovative ideas; state support and stimulation of innovative activity (protection and support of domestic companies, financial support of industrial samples patenting, utility models, inventions abroad); giving priority to innovative factors in order to increase competitiveness and to ensure positive financial performance of enterprises; information interaction and coherence of innovation activity; creativity of approaches to ensure the conditions of the enterprise's innovative activity. Обсяг дисертації становить 114 сторінок. Основний текст дисертації містить 17 таблиць, 28 рисунків, 10 формул. Список використаних джерел налічує 55 найменувань та викладений на 7 сторінках. Актуальність теми дослідження зумовлена виявленням можливостей формування системи Інтернет-комунікацій, що дозволить підвищити інноваційну активність підприємства. Магістерська дисертація виконувалась відповідно до планів наукових досліджень кафедри менеджменту за темою НДР 0114U001132 «Інноваційні засади розвитку промислових підприємств в рамках інтеграції в світовий економічний простір». Метою роботи є формування системи Інтернет-комунікацій для вдосконалення інноваційної діяльності підприємства. Об'єктом дослідження є система Інтернет-комунікацій підприємства. Предметом дослідження є теоретичні та науково-методичні аспекти формування системи Інтернет-комунікацій для активізації інноваційної діяльнності ПАТ «ЗЗБК ім. Світлани Ковальської». Завдяки такому напрямку розвитку, використання Інтернет-комунікацій дає нові особливості і переваги порівняно з маркетингом, заснованому на традиційних технологіях. Дані технології дозволяють підвищити інноваційну активність підприємства, за рахунок комплексного використання всіх елементів запропонованої системи Інтернет-комунікацій підприємства. • Подальший розвиток отримала система Інтернет-комунікацій підприємства, зокрема корпоративний сайт компанії, який дозволить підприємству покращити свої економічні показники, підвищити інноваційну активність за рахунок вдосконалення на основі трьох головних компонентів: банерної реклами, сайту підприємства і інтернет-ресурсу «Веб-контроль бетону». Апробація результатів роботи. The volume of the dissertation is 114 pages. The main text of the dissertation contains 17 tables, 28 figures, 10 formulas. The list of sources used includes 61 titles and is set out on 7 pages. Relevance of the topic of research is determined by the identification of the possibilities of forming the system of Internet communications, which will increase the innovative activity of the enterprise. The master's dissertation was carried out in accordance with the research plans of the Department of Management on the topic of research 0114U001132 "Innovative principles of development of industrial enterprises in the framework of integration into the world economic space". The purpose of the work is to create a system of Internet communications to improve the innovation activity of the enterprise. The object of research is the system of Internet communications of the enterprise. The subject of the research is theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation of the Internet communication system for activating the innovation activity of Plant «S. Kovalska RCP Plant». Methods of research - in the master's thesis applied a set of general and specific scientific methods. In the process of studying modern views on the system of Internet communications enterprises used: a systematic approach, methods of economic and statistical analysis, grouping. Scientific novelty of the research: 1. Improved innovation activity of Plant «S. Kovalska RCP Plant» in the context of identifying the possibilities of forming a system of Internet communications. Thanks to this direction of development, the use of Internet communications offers new features and benefits compared to traditional technology based marketing. These technologies allow to increase the innovative activity of the enterprise, due to the complex use of all elements of the proposed system of Internet communications of the enterprise 2. Дисертаційну роботу присвячено вирішенню проблеми розроблення теоретичних положень та прикладних рекомендацій щодо формування механізму активізації інноваційної діяльності підприємств сільськогосподарського машинобудування. У роботі висвітлено теоретико-методичні підходи до визначення сутності й значення інновацій в умовах розвитку конкурентного середовища. Проаналізовано сучасний стан і тенденції розвитку інноваційної діяльності підприємств сільськогосподарського машинобудування, визначено фактори впливу на її активізацію, доведено першочергову необхідність оновлення виробничого потенціалу та продукції. Удосконалено інструментарій щодо формування економічного механізму активізації інноваційної діяльності, розроблено алгоритм побудови інтеґрованої моделі активізації інноваційної діяльності в контексті ланцюга “держава–освіта і наука–підприємництво” та обґрунтовано необхідність удосконалення засобів інформаційного і маркетингового забезпечення в інноваційній інфраструктурі.
Диссертация посвящена вопросам разработки теоретических положений и практических рекомендаций по формированию механизма активизации инновационной деятельности предприятий сельскохозяйственного машиностроения. В первом разделе “Теоретические и практические аспекты активизации инновационной деятельности промышленных предприятий” раскрыто теоретико-методические подходы к определению сущности и значения инноваций в условиях развития конкурентной среды, углублено понимание терминов “инновация”, “инновационный процесс”, “инновационная деятельность”, “активизация инновационной деятельности”, показаны особенности моделирования, структуризации и организации инновационного процесса, осуществлена классификация факторов, влияющих на активизацию инновационной деятельности предприятий, исследован характер взаимосвязей инновационной политики государства и экономических механизмов содействия инновационной активности, а также развития новых инновационных структур. Во втором разделе “Характеристика состояния развития и активизации инновационной деятельности предприятий сельско¬хозяйственного машиностроения” проанализировано современное состояние и тенденции развития инновационной деятельности предприятий сельскохозяйственного машиностроения; определено, что инновационная активность не соответствует требованиям времени, поскольку большинство из них не проводят работ, направленных на освоение новой продукции и новых технологий. Выделены десять главных факторов, которые имеют решающее влияние на активизацию инновационной деятельности. Доказано первоочередную необходимость обновления продукции и производственного потенциала предприятий, обосновано внедрение современных подходов к организации подготовки производства. В третьем разделе “Формирование экономического механизма активизации инновационной деятельности предприятий сельскохозяйственного машиностроения” очерчены концептуальные основы государственной политики содействия инновационному развитию и внедрению комплексной инновационной стратегии, в которой выделены главные стратегические направления развития: освоение новых видов конкурентоспособной техники, усовершенствование структуры производства, развитие мощностей, развитие внутреннего и внешнего рынков и их инфраструктуры; усовершенствование нормативно-правового обеспечения. Для оптимального распределения средств по направлениям использована модель оптимизации процесса финансирования с учетом фактора времени; с помощью инструментария линейного программирования удалось найти такой неотъемлемый план распределения финансовых ресурсов, который удовлетворяет определенные ограничения и при этом функция цели (ожидаемая прибыль) получает максимальное значение. Разработан алгоритм построения интегрированной модели активизации инновационной деятельности отечественных предприятий в контексте цепи: “государство–наука и образование–предпринимательство”. Обоснована необходимость усовершенствования средств информационного и маркетингового обеспечения в инновационной инфраструктуре, создания территориальных отраслевых центров инновационного развития для активизации инновационных процессов и формирования благоприятной конкурентной среды.
The thesis is devoted to solving of the problem develop theoretical and applied recommendations dealing with the formation of mechanism of promotion of innovational activity of agricultural engineering enterprises. The work touches upon the theoretical and methodological approaches to determination of the nature and importance of innovations in competitive environment conditions. The current state and trends of the development of innovative activity of agricultural machinery enterprises, the factors of influence on its activation are analysed, the paramount need to upgrade the manufacturing capacity and production is shown. Methods for the formation of the economic mechanism of innovative activity promotion, the algorithm of building an integrated model of innovative activities promotion in the context of the chain: the state–science and education–business and the necessity of improving information and marketing support in the innovation infrastructure are developed. Key words: innovation, innovational process, activation of innovational activity, innovational infrastructure, economic mechanism, management.

Activation of platelets is essential for hemostasis. Following damage to the vascular endothelium collagen is exposed, to which platelets stably adhere. After adhesion on collagen, a signaling cascade is initiated, mediated by Glycoprotein VI (GPVI), which results in platelet activation. A major signaling protein in GPVI signaling is Spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk). It undergoes phosphorylation and activation following GPVI stimulation. Syk's central role in this physiological process suggests regulation of its activity is required to maintain the platelets response to collagen within physiological limits. The regulation of Syk activation is the focus of this work. Previously published reports implicate the phosphatases SHP-1, SHP-2 and TULA-2 in the negative regulation of Syk. Therefore, we tested these phosphatases possible role in platelets. We show that SHP-1 can dephosphorylate Syk in vitro, but is unable to bind Syk. Also, Syk is hypophosphorylated in GPVI-stimulated SHP-1 deficient platelets and platelet functional responses are minimally affected compared to wild-type platelets. SHP-2 is unable to bind Syk and Syk is not a good substrate for SHP-2 in vitro. TULA-2 dephosphorylated Syk in vitro and associated with Syk in platelets. In TULA-2 deficient platelets, Syk and PLCγ2 were hyperphosphorylated compared to wild-type platelets. Deletion of TULA-2 resulted in enhanced GPVI-dependent platelet functional responses and a prothrombotic phenotype. c-Cbl has been shown to be a negative regulator of GPVI signaling, possibly by regulating Syk phosphorylation. Thus, SHP-1, SHP-2 and TULA-2’s role in c-Cbl regulation of GPVI was also investigated. We show that TULA-2 is able to bind c-Cbl in platelets. SHP-1 and SHP-2 do not. Furthermore, we show a striking similarity between the phenotype of TULA-2 and c-Cbl deficient platelets. However, in vitro binding studies show TULA-2 is able to bind Syk independently of c-Cbl. Thus, the exact role of c-Cbl in regulating Syk dephosphorylation is unclear. In conclusion, we show SHP-1 and SHP-2 are probably not involved in the negative regulation of Syk. However, TULA-2 is the major phosphatase responsible for the negative regulation of Syk in GPVI signaling. This serves to negatively regulate GPVI-mediated platelet function and prevent uncontrolled platelet activation that could lead to thrombosis.

Open innovation opens up organizational boundaries so that a company can use and combine internal and external knowledge to develop and commercialize its own innovations, and can take its internal knowledge to market through external channels to generate additional value. There are many studies on large companies that use open innovation in order to develop their products, and keep up with rapid economic changes which affect their businesses. However there are not many studies on small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in terms of open innovation. SMEs are crucially important in global economy and innovation. They account for a large proportion in the global economy and create a large number of employment opportunities. They are more innovative than larger companies due to their flexibility and ability to quickly and efficiently integrate inventions created by their development activities. Nonetheless they lack of resources and appropriate structures. Accordingly innovation processes and strategies used for product development by large companies may not be appropriate for them. This study examines if SMEs should adopt open innovation activities for their product development and suggests that SMEs should adopt open innovation activities as complementary approaches to their internal R&D for their product development.

The 1990's in Victoria saw a political and economical shift away from the social justice themes of previous years to an economic rationalist approach to public sector services. Like other countries, educational reform initiatives focused on the introduction of market-oriented commercial practices. These were characterised by increased accountability for expenditure, pressure to supplement publicly funded income with commercial ventures, rationalisation of staff, privatisation of some services and a business-oriented approach to service provision. As part of this shift TAFE Institutes in Victoria were actively encouraged to embark on a business-based, entrepreneurial approach to training delivery in a competitive, user-choice market. This changing external environment is the context for this 'practitioner research' investigative project - the development of a motorsports program as a case study of innovation and entrepreneurship at Wodonga Institute of TAFE. A participant-observer research approach was applied to examine the perceptions of the stakeholders about the development of the program. Data was collected through semi-formal interviews with stakeholders, maintaining a reflective research journal and reviewing related literature. Analysis of the data identified emergent themes (enabling factors and barriers), reflecting at a micro level, similar themes and issues from current research and debate at national level. The themes are similarly reflected in literature on innovation, organisational change and entrepreneurship. The products generated from the investigative research project are:  Capturing Innovation: Entrepreneurial Activity Within a Publicly Funded Educational Organisation, an exegesis examining innovation and entrepreneurship at Wodonga Institute of TAFE through a case study (the motorsports program)  What a Great Idea! Where to From Here?, a set of guidelines for Wodonga Institute of TAFE practitioners about what is required in presenting their ideas to Senior Management (Appendix 1 and Appendix 2), and  a Professional development workshop agenda to support promotion of the guidelines (Appendix 2)  recommendations to Wodonga Institute of TAFE Directorate (Director/CEO and two Deputy Directors) for supporting the development of innovative ideas (Chapter 6). These outcomes aim to increase the success rate of innovative ideas being captured and developed into training programs and products at Wodonga Institute of TAFE.

The role of innovation in the economy development is extremely significant. Within the framework of this work, the innovative activity of enterprises and its relation to corporate social responsibility (CSR) is of particular interest. This study is aimed at modeling the project management of corporate innovation activity on the basis of CSR. The results obtained by the author for the Russian economy suggest that there is a positive relationship between the level of innovative development and CSR, both in general and in terms of investments in the transformation of human capital. In this regard, the model of project management of corporate innovation activity based on CSR is proposed. Author suggests, that this model's implementation for companies is promising, since transition to such a model should be resulted in an increase in the innovation activity of companies, regions and the whole country, as well as an increase in the economic, social and organizational effectiveness of innovative activity.

Interacting with computers by using the bodily motion is one of the challenging topics in the Virtual Reality field, especially as regards the interaction with large scale virtual environments. This paper presents a device for interacting with a Virtual Reality environment that is based on the detection of the muscular activity and movements of the user by the fusion of two different signals. The idea is that through muscular activities a user is capable of moving a cursor in the virtual space, and making some actions through gestures. The device is based on an accelerometer and on electromyography, a technique that derives from the medical field and that is able to recognize the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles during their contraction. The device consists of cheap and easy to replicate components: seven electrodes pads and a small and wearable board for the acquisition of the sEMG signals from the user’s forearm, a 3 DOF accelerometer that is positioned on the user’s wrist (used for moving the cursor in the space) and a glove worn on the forearm in which these components are inserted. The device can be easily used without tedious settings and training. In order to test the functionality, performances and usability issues of the device we have implemented an application that has been tested by a group of users. Specifically, the device has been used as natural interaction technique in an application for drawing in a large scale virtual environment. The muscular activity is acquired by the device and used by the application for controlling the dimension and color of the brush.

Numerical studies, in vitro, and in vivo measurements were conducted, aimed at quantifying free emboli formation and procoagulant properties of platelets induced by flow past mechanical heart valves (MHV). Pulsatile turbulent flow simulation was conducted past a St. Jude medical MHV in the aortic position, to study the effects of valve implantation technique on the thromboembolic potential of the valve. A misaligned valve with subannualarly sutured pledgets produced accelerating jet flow through the valve orifices and a wider wake of shed vortices. Shear stress histories of platelets along turbulent trajectories exposed the platelets to elevated shear stresses around the leaflets, leading them to entrapment within the shed vortices. In vitro platelet studies were conducted past the MHV mounted in a recirculation flow loop and in a model of left ventricular assist device (LVAD), using an innovative platelet activity state (PAS) assay. The platelet activation significantly increased as a function of the recirculation time past the valve, and as compared to controls. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) measurements were conducted in the carotid artery of sheep with implanted MHV, showing marked increase in the number of HITS (High Intensity Transient Signals) signifying the passage of free emboli generated by the valve. The HITS were analyzed to distinguish between gaseous and thrombi emboli. Finally, platelet activity state measurements were conducted with sheep platelets, showing marked increase of platelet activation after valve implantation.

"This work is an initial activity in the OPREVU project. This project, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, is aimed at the use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence tools to allow the extraction of Vulnerable Road Users (VRU) behaviour patterns in the event of pedestrian collisions, in order to optimize the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) technologies, incorporated in the new generations of commercial vehicles. With the aim of developing and optimizing the current pedestrian identification systems, vehicle tests are performed on INSIA test track with different vehicles to analyse the behaviour of their AEB systems. These systems are equipped with a Lidar and a camera, whose joint operation allows detecting the proximity of the pedestrian and obtaining variables of interest to assess the automatic intervention of the braking system. The tests are inspired by the CPNA50 and CPNA25 tests, carried out by EURONCAP to validate and certify AEB systems. The reference variables are the TTC (Time-to-collision) and the TFCW. FCW (Forward Collision Warning) is a visual and acoustic signal that appears as a warning light or digitally on the instrument panel and warns of the presence of an obstacle in the vehicle's path, and TFCW is calculated from the sum of the driver's average reaction time and the time to stop if the driver applies pressure on the brake pedal until full detection. On the other hand, TTC is the time calculated from the distance and relative speed of the vehicle with respect to the pedestrian. If the TTC is less than TFCW, the system intervenes. By means of the CARSIM© simulation tool (vehicle-pedestrian-road), it is attainable to modify certain boundary parameters, such as the initial conditions of movement of the pedestrian and the vehicle, as well as their initial relative disposition at the beginning of each test. Along these lines, the virtual model incorporates reactions patterns for the pedestrian, such as stopping, running, or changing direction while crossing the road. These reaction patterns are defined by means of VR tests. The CARSIM© vehicle model integrates the fusion of camera and LiDAR data, and an operating algorithm to control the AEB activation. Using Machine Learning techniques, it is feasible to breed vehicle models based on behavioural patterns from the values obtained in the real tests, and to find out the correlation between the corresponding TTC and TFCW values with parameters measured by the calibration equipment, such as: the maximum speed and the time in which it is reached, the initial relative distance and the relative distance at the moment of AEB activation, or the average deceleration from the start of braking, among others. Hence, the data obtained on the INSIA test tracks allow the virtual models to be validated. Furthermore, the novelty of the approach is to consider the pedestrian reactions just before collision, extracted through users’ experiments made in ad-hoc VR environment, and to generate a more optimised and robust logic with a greater capacity for anticipation."

In Israel and in the U.S., Streptococcus iniae is responsible for considerable losses in various fish species. Poor understanding of its virulence factors and limited know-how-to of vaccine formulation and administration are the main reasons for the limited efficacy of vaccines. Our strategy was that in order to Improve control measures, both aspects should be equally addressed. Our proposal included the following objectives: (i) construction of host-pathogen interaction models; (ii) characterization of virulence factors and immunodominant antigens, with assessment of their relative importance in terms of protection and (iii) genetic identification of virulence factors and genes, with evaluation of the protective effect of recombinant proteins. We have shown that two different serotypes are involved. Their capsular polysaccharides (CPS) were characterized, and proved to play an important role in immune evasion and in other consequences of the infection. This is an innovative finding in fish bacteriology and resembles what, in other fields, has become apparent in the recent years: S. iniae alters surface antigens. By so doing, the pathogen escapes immune destruction. Immunological assays (agar-gel immunodiffusion and antibody titers) confirmed that only limited cross recognition between the two types occurs and that capsular polysaccharides are immunodominant. Vaccination with purified CPS (as an acellular vaccine) results in protection. In vitro and ex-vivo models have allowed us to unravel additional insights of the host-pathogen interactions. S. iniae 173 (type II) produced DNA fragmentation of TMB-8 cells characteristic of cellular necrosis; the same isolate also prevented the development of apoptosis in NCC. This was determined by finding reduced expression of phosphotidylserine (PS) on the outer membrane leaflet of NCC. NCC treated with this isolate had very high levels of cellular necrosis compared to all other isolates. This cellular pathology was confirmed by observing reduced DNA laddering in these same treated cells. Transmission EM also showed characteristic necrotic cellular changes in treated cells. To determine if the (in vitro) PCD/apoptosis protective effects of #173 correlated with any in vivo activity, tilapia were injected IV with #173 and #164 (an Israeli type I strain). Following injection, purified NCC were tested (in vitro) for cytotoxicity against HL-60 target cells. Four significant observations were made : (i) fish injected with #173 had 100-400% increased cytotoxicity compared to #164 (ii) in vivo activation occurred within 5 minutes of injection; (iii) activation occurred only within the peripheral blood compartment; and (iv) the isolate that protected NCC from apoptosis in vitro caused in vivo activation of cytotoxicity. The levels of in vivo cytotoxicity responses are associated with certain pathogens (pathogen associated molecular patterns/PAMP) and with the tissue of origin of NCC. NCC from different tissue (i.e. PBL, anterior kidney, spleen) exist in different states of differentiation. Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis revealed the "adaptation" of the bacterium to the vaccinated environment, suggesting a "Darwinian-like" evolution of any bacterium. Due to the selective pressure which has occurred in the vaccinated environment, type II strains, able to evade the protective response elicited by the vaccine, have evolved from type I strains. The increased virulence through the appropriation of a novel antigenic composition conforms with pathogenic mechanisms described for other streptococci. Vaccine efficacy was improved: water-in-oil formulations were found effective in inducing protection that lasted for a period of (at least) 6 months. Protection was evaluated by functional tests - the protective effect, and immunological parameters - elicitation of T- and B-cells proliferation. Vaccinated fish were found to be resistant to the disease for (at least) six months; protection was accompanied by activation of the cellular and the humoral branches.

In modern conditions, innovative augmented reality technologies are actively developing, which are widespread in many areas of human activity. Introduction of advanced developments in the process of professional training of future specialists of socionomic professions in the conditions of adaptive training, contributes to the implementation of the principles of a personalized approach and increase the overall level of competitiveness. The relevant scientific article is devoted to the theoretical and empirical analysis result of conducting a psychodiagnostic study on an innovative computer complex HC-psychotest. of the features of the implementation of augmented reality technologies in the construct of traditional psychological and pedagogical support aimed at the development of emotional intelligence of the future specialist. The interdisciplinary approach was used while carrying out the research work at the expense of the general fund of the state budget: “Adaptive system for individualization and personalization of professional training of future specialists in the conditions of blended learning”. A comprehensive study of the implementation of traditional psychological-pedagogical and innovative augmented reality technologies was conducted in the framework of scientific cooperation of STEAM-Laboratory, Laboratory of Psychophysiological Research and Laboratory of Psychology of Health in Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University. The theoretical analysis considers the structural model of emotional intelligence of the future specialist of socionomic professions, which is represented by two structural components: intrapersonal construct of emotional intelligence and interpersonal construct of emotional intelligence. Each component mediates the inherent emotional intelligence of interpretive, regulatory, adaptive, stress-protective and activating functions. The algorithm of the empirical block of research is presented by two stages: ascertaining and forming research. According to the results of the statement, low indicators were found on most scales, reflecting the general level of emotional intelligence development of future specialists, actualizing the need to find and implement effective measures for the development of emotional intelligence components in modern higher education and taking into account information development and digitalization. As part of the formative stage of the research implementation, a comprehensive program “Development of emotional intelligence of future professionals” was tested, which integrated traditional psychological and pedagogical technologies and innovative augmented reality technologies. This program is designed for 24 hours, 6 thematic classes of 4 hours. According to the results of a comprehensive ascertaining and shaping research, the effectiveness of the influence of augmented reality technologies on the general index of emotional intelligence is proved. The step-by-step model of integration of augmented reality components influencing the ability to analyze, understand and regulate emotional states into a complex program of emotional intelligence development is demonstrated. According to the results of the formative study, there is a dominance of high indicators of the following components: intrapersonal (50%), interpersonal (53.3%). Thus, we can say that intrapersonal and interpersonal emotional intelligence together involve the actualization of various cognitive processes and skills, and are related to each other. This paper evaluates the economic impact of Bpifrance’s financial programmes to support SMEs’ Research, Development and Innovation (RDI), called individual aid for innovation (IA). It focuses on the analysis of subsidies and zero-interest loans granted to SMEs over three years old during the period 2005-2018 in order to foster their RDI activity (R&D expenses and spending related to the development of innovative products, processes or services) and economic growth (turnover, employment). We use a difference-in-differences methodology combined with a propensity score matching procedure to compare supported SMEs with non-supported SMEs with same initial characteristics. This counterfactual analysis is based on a unique dataset containing both financial and non-financial information about millions of French companies. Up to 12,000 SMEs supported over the 2005-2016 period have thus been analysed, making this study the first to estimate the effect of Bpifrance’s individual aid for innovation on such a scale and using such detailed information.
