Autofagia zelula eukariotikoetan berez gertatzen den prozesu bat da, zeinak oreka homeostatikoa mantentzea ahalbidetzen duen (kaltetutako egitura zelularrak degradatuz eta energia-oreka mantenduz) zelula estres edo energia eskuragarritasun mugatuko egoeretan dagoenean. Autofagiari buruz hitz egitean, apoptositik bereiztea komeni da. Oro har, autofagia babes-mekanismotzat hartzen da, zelulek estres maila ez-hilgarrietara egokitzeko ematen duten erantzuntzat. Zelulak pairatzen duen estresak muga jakin bat gainditzen duenean, edo estres maila bat denboran mantentzen denean, apoptosia aktibatuko da, zelula deuseztatzeko. Egundaino, hiru autofagia mota deskribatu dira: xaperoi bidezko autofagia, mikroautofagia eta makroautofagia. The research was conducted in 2020-2022 to find effective ways of controlling the volunteer plants of imidazolinone-resistant sunflower in oil flax sowings, providing high biological and economic efficiency, crop yield, and seed quality on leached chernozem in natural and climatic conditions of the Western Ciscaucasia. We studied methods of chemical protection of oil flax with tank mixtures of herbicide combinations: anticotyledonous contact herbicide Basagran, WS and systemic herbicide Cleo, WDG, Sekator Turbo, OD, and graminicide Zellek-super, EC. We used established methods for field agronomic experiments with oil crops. Seeds of imidazolinone-resistant sunflower hybrid were evenly sown on the experimental plot to simulate the volunteer plants. The phytotoxicity of herbicides on sunflower plants was evaluated using a 9-point EWRC scale. The tank mixtures Basagran,WS (4 l/ha) + Zellek-super, EC (1.0 l/ha) and Basagran, WS (4 l/ha) + Sekator Turbo, OD (0.1 l/ha) + Zellek-super, EC (1.0 l/ha) do not provide ef-fective control of the volunteer plants and are not recommended for use. The composition Basagran, WS (4 l/ha) + Cleo, WDG (0.12 kg/ha) + Zellek-super, EC (1.0 l/ha) provides destruction of the volunteer plants, contributing to higher yield and oil content of seeds, but it is very expensive and decreases the laboratory germinating ability of flax seeds, so it cannot be used in industrial seed production. A tank mixture of Cleo, WDG (0.12 kg/ha) + Sekator Turbo, OD (0.1 l/ha) + Zellek-super, EC (1.0 l/ha) has lower cost, provides high herbicidal effectiveness against the volunteer plants of imidazolinone-resistant sunflower, contributes to obtaining a high yield, oil content and laboratory germination of oil flax seeds and is recommended for use both in industrial seed production and in the production of commercial seeds.

This scientific article provides data on the effectiveness of successive application of herbicides against annual and perennial weeds in cotton fields on arable lands plowed with simple and two-sided plows. When the herbicide Samurai (1.5 l/ha) is applied separately, the annual weeds are effectively lost (86.8-90.2%), and have a weak effect on perennials. When Zellek Super (1.0 l/ha) herbicide is used separately, it has a weak effect on annuals (24.0-32.0%), effectively reducing weeds. Both perennial weeds (90.5-93.0%) and perennial weeds are effective when applied in series with Samurai (1.5 l/ha) and Zellek Super (1.0 l/ha) herbicides 88.9 -93.3% loss. Cotton yield will increase by 1.8-5.4 q/ha compared to the control option. Consecutive application of Samurai (1.5 l/ha) and Samurai (1.5 l/ha) and Zellek Super (1.0 l/ha) herbicides against annual and perennial weeds is recommended.

Abstract The last year has seen a revolt against the recommendations of the Zellick Report (1994) in England and Wales, and pressure on universities worldwide to bring serious criminal conduct within their own disciplinary structures. This paper examines the reasons why the Zellick Report advised against this, and why higher-education institutions have now turned their back on a number of its recommendations. Factors including student pressure and concerns about low conviction rates for sexual offences in the criminal courts have been cited, but this paper argues that universities will struggle to create a disciplinary system that is fair to both those who are accused of such offences and those who have been victims of them. A recent Universities UK report has reversed the Zellick guidance that conduct amounting to a serious criminal offence should never be pursued under university disciplinary structures. Drawing on both authors’ experiences as practitioners, and using the first author's experience of university disciplinary matters as a case-study, this paper reviews the practical problems of bringing such serious conduct under university disciplinary structures, focusing particularly on the intersection of criminal and internal disciplinary proceedings. It concludes by suggesting possible ways of ameliorating these.

This study collects data from the literature and updates our Zelus renardii Kolenati, 1856 (Leafhopper Assassin Bug, LAB) prey knowledge. The literature consists of ca. 170 entries encompassing the years 1856 to 2021. This reduviid originated in the Nearctic region, but has entered and acclimatised in many Mediterranean countries. Our quantitative predation experiments—in the laboratory on caged plants plus field or environmental observations—confirm that LAB prefers a selected array of prey. Laboratory predation tests on living targets (Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, and Hymenoptera) agree with the literature. Zelus renardii prefers comparatively large, highly mobile, and readily available prey. LAB preferences on available hemipterans targets suggest that Zelus renardii is a good inundative biocontrol agent for Xylella fastidiosapauca ST53 infections. LAB also prey on other important olive pests, such as Bactrocera oleae. Therefore, Zelus renardii is a major integrated pest management (IPM) component to limit Xylella fastidiosa pandemics and other pest invasions.

New occurrences of Reduviidae from Bolivia and Brazil are recorded for the first time. Morphological remarks on the female of Heza gilsantanai Bérenger (Harpactorinae) are given. The possible aposematicism between Notocyrtus colombianus Carvalho & Costa (Harpactorinae) and Ptilotrigona lurida (Smith) (Hymenoptera; Apidae; Apinae) is suggested. Based on biological observations, Zelus nigrispinus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1848) (Harpactorinae) is considered a junior synonym of Zelus versicolor (Herrich-Schäffer, 1848).

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors GIST are rare mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract characterized by expression of a receptor that activates tyrosine kinase called C- kit. Since malignant GIST has an extremely poor prognosis even after surgical resection. The development of a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, STI571/imatinib mesylate/Gleevec, Glivec which inhibits the BCR-ABL, PDGF-R alpha, and C-Kit receptors, has changed the management of unrespectable malignant GIST and has improved the survival of patients with metastaic disease. We report a 32 year old male patient with subcardiale gastric GIST and massive gastrointestinale bleeding. The patient underwent total gastrectomy, D2 lymphadenestomy, distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy on 02.02. 2004. Histopathology examination of the primary tumor revealed a strong C-Kit expression and CD 34 +++, Ki67 20 and so called "Pure GIST" was approved Liver metastasis was detected on ultrasound and CT 12 months later and segmentectomy S7 was performed on 23.03.2005. Postoperative course was uneventful. HP examination - malignant 35 x 30 mm sarcoma like tumor of mesenchymal origin. The patient received adjuvant imatinib -mesylate Gleevec Novartis Pharma Basel 400 mg a day. The initial complete response to treatment continued to 24 months postoperatively Imatinib is a recent and very promising treatment extirpation remains the only curative treatment of malignant GIST as evidenced by our patient.

We used the contact herbicide Basagran, AS (a.i. bentazon, 480 g/l) and the systemic herbicides Tifi, WDG (a.i. thifensulfuron-methyl, 750 g/kg), Cleo, WDG (a.i. clopyralid, 750 g/kg), Magnum, WDG (a.i. metsulfuron-methyl, 600 g/kg), Zellek-super, EC (a.i. haloxyfop-P-methyl,104 g/l), Miura, EC (a.i. quizalofop-P-ethyl,125 g/l), Sekator Turbo, OD (a.i. amidosulfuron, 100 g/l + iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium, 25 g/l + mefenpyr-diethyl, 250 g/l). We evaluated the phytotoxicity of the herbicides on the volunteer plants using a 9-point EWRC scale. We found that the of Basagran, AS (4.0 l/ha) + Zellek-super, EC (1.0 l/ha) + Cleo, WDG (0.12 kg/ha) provides the effective control of the volunteer plants and contributes to the stable high indicators of oil flax productivity.

Góra Zelce na Wyżynie Wieluńskiej od 1971 roku objęta jest ochroną rezerwatową dotyczącą form krasowych ostańca jurajskiego. Z reguły ochroną obejmowane są formy naturalne, mało przekształcone przez człowieka. W przypadku Góry Zelce i Rezerwatu „Węże” mamy do czynienia z obiektem silnie przekształconym antropogenicznie. Przekształcenia te wynikały z wieloletniej eksploatacji kalcytu dla potrzeb przemysłu hutniczego. Pozostały po tym liczne wyrobiska i hałdy oraz korytarze jaskiń w większości pozbawione szaty naciekowej. Przez większość okresu funkcjonowania rezerwatu obiekty jaskiniowe były dostępne dla powszechnego ruchu turystycznego. W ostatnich latach, ze względów ochrony środowiska, dostęp do jaskiń został zamknięty. W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty badań na temat przekształcenia rzeźby oraz stanu jaskiń. Autorzy wskazują na możliwość ograniczenia ochrony rezerwatowej na badanym obszarze.

Los lepidópteros más importantes para el cultivo de los eucaliptos son los defoliadores y en Brasil, algunas especies se encuentran desde el estado de Amazona hasta Rio Grande del Sur. Thyrinteina arnobia arnobia (Stoll) (Lepidóptera: Geometridae) se cita como el lepidóptero defoliador más importante en Brasil y algunas especies depredadoras de la familia Reduviidae están asociados con diversos cultivos forestales. En este estudio se registra la ocurrencia de Zelus armillatus (Lepeletier & Serville) depredando a T. arnobia en plantaciones de eucaliptus en la ciudad de Sorriso, estado de Mato Grosso, Brasil. Registration of Thyrinteina arnobia arnobia (Stoll) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) in Eucalyptus sp. (Myrtaceae) in Sorriso, Mato Grosso and its predation by Zelus armillatus (Lepeletier & Serville) (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Harpactorinae) Abstract. The most important lepidopterans for eucalyptus crop are called defoliators. In Brazil, some species occur from the Amazônia to Rio Grande do Sul State and Thyrinteina arnobia arnobia (Stoll) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) is cited as the most important lepidopteran defoliator in Brazil and some predatory species of the family Reduviidae are associated with various forest crops. Thus, this study recorded the ocorrence of Zelus armillatus (Lepeletier & Serville) preying T. arnobia in eucaliptus crop in Sorriso city, Mato Grosso state, Brazil.

They showed high biological efficacy against certain groups of weeds and increased the crop, which was more in the version with Dual Gold. No residues of them in crop have been detected. It was not revealed essential deviation of contents of main biochemical indices of root - crops from check.

As a result of the use of the herbicide Zeldek extra (active ingredient Haloxyfop-p-methyl a.e. Bentosan 48% w.p.), about 70% of the death of cereal weeds and the destruction of the aerial parts of field grasses were observed. Restoration of weed roots was observed 10-15 days after spraying. The highest sesame yields using soil-protective resource-saving technology were obtained in the experimental variant with a seed sowing rate of 5 kg per 1 hectare.

Spodoptera frugiperda, principal plaga del maíz en América, se controla principalmente mediante el uso de insecticidas químicos, sin embargo el control biológico es una alternativa frente a lo cual se necesita conocer qué organismos son factibles para ser criados artificialmente. Con ese objetivo se buscó depredadores que puedan criarse en laboratorio, para lo cual fueron visitados cultivos de maíz para colectar entomófagos y llevarlos a la Estación Pichilingue del Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIAP), donde se los alimentó con larvas de esta plaga. Se encontraron Hemípteros de las familias Reduviidae (Zelus) y Pentatomidae (Podisus). No se pudo críar Zelus spp. pero si Podisus spp. Se determinó que en Podisus spp. el tiempo desde la oviposición hasta la última muda ninfal fue 23.1 días; los adultos vivieron 33.75 días a 26 °C y 80 % HR. Se ha demostrado que es posible criar Podisus spp. bajo condiciones controladas utilizando como dieta S. frugiperda, lo cual abre muchas posibilidades para utilizarlo como controlador de esta plaga. The article provides the research results concerning the effect of antidicotyledonous herbicide Sekator Turbo, OD (a.i. amidosulfuron + iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium + mefenpyr-diethyl) in a tank mixture with various graminicides Quickstep, FEM (a.i. clethodim + haloxyfop-P-methyl), Bagheera, EC (a.i. quizalofop-P-tefuryl), Fuzilad Forte, EC (a.i. fluazifop-P-butyl), Miura, EC (a.i. quizalofop-P-ethyl), and Zellek-super, EC (a.i. haloxyfop-P-methyl) on the yield structure elements and the productivity of lowlinolenic (Nilin) and linolenic (FLIZ) varieties of oil flax on leached chernozem of the Western Ciscaucasia. We have found that the treatment of sowings with herbicides did not have a significant effect on the yield structure elements (thousand-seed weight and bulk weight of seeds). The treatment of sowings of the variety Nilin with the composition of Sekator Turbo + Bagheera or Sekator Turbo + Miura, and the variety FLIZ with Sekator Turbo + Bagheera, Sekator Turbo + Quickstep, Sekator Turbo + Fuzilad Forte, Sekator Turbo + Miura contributes to the receiving of oil flax yield at the level of the control with manual weeding. Tank mixtures of Sekator Turbo + Bagheera, Sekator Turbo + Miura decreased the oil content of seeds of the variety Nilin by 0.5 %. The application of herbicides Sekator Turbo, OD (0.1 l/ha) + Bagheera, EC (1.5 l/ha) provided the highest oil yield of the variety Nilin – 0.34 t/ha, and of the variety FLIZ – 0.54 t/ha. The composition of Sekator Turbo + Zellek-super led to a significant decrease in the productivity and oil content of seeds of the variety FLIZ – by 0.15 t/ha and 0.6 %, respectively.

In this paper, we report the first observation of the species in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the earliest occurrence records from Croatia. New observations on the species’ habitat and overwintering in the region are briefly discussed.

According to a study published by Zelnik and Kantner in 1980,1 approximately 70% of unmarried young women reported having had coitus by 19 years of age. In a recent study by Clark and colleagues,2 approximately 87% of black male adolescents attending an inner-city school in Baltimore reported having had coitus. An estimated 1 million adolescent pregnancies result from this coital activity; approximately two thirds eventuate in births and one third in abortion.3 Most pregnant adolescents are unmarried; of those who give birth, most keep their children. Even though the demographic data have not changed over time, our understanding of the risks of adolescent childbearing has improved.

It is in rapid expansion in different areas of the world, especially in the Mediterranean basin and since it is extremely polyphagous its presence could represent a new threat for indigenous species and human activities.

Photographs of the type specimens of Sinchocoris colombiensis Dougherty, 1995, S. panamensis Dougherty, 1995, Rhiginia bimaculata Breddin, 1914 and Rhiginia conspersa Breddin, 1901 (Ectrichodiinae) are presented, with short taxonomical notes on all of them. Montina lobata Stål, 1859, Montina sinuosa (Lepeletier & Serville, 1825) and Zelus lewisi Zhang & Hart, 2016 (Harpactorinae, Harpactorini) are recorded from Ecuador for the first time.

The Nearctic assasin bug species Zelus reinardii was found for the first time in Attica, Greece, Europe. This species is a generalist predator which can contribute to the control of insect pests. This is also a known predator of several biological control agents of pests. Therefore, its naturalization in Greece is potentially problematic in economic settings since the insect may act as both an intraguild and a beneficial predator. The risky nature of importation in other areas (e.g. Hawaii) showed the possibility of these ecological roles.

Abstract The article presents the results of research on the effectiveness of post-emergent tank mixtures of herbicidal compositions on weeds in oil flax yields on leached chernozem of the Western Ciscaucasia. The results were obtained in 2018-2020. We determined the economic efficiency of herbicidal compositions of tank mixtures aimed at suppressing vegetative dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous weeds. The compositions were based on herbicide Sekator Turbo together with one of the graminicides – Bagira, Fusilade Forte, Quickstep, Miura, Zellek-super. The results show that application of the tank mixture Selator Turbo, OD (0.1 l/ha) + Bagira, EC (1.5 l/ha) provided the best effectiveness at the cultivation of oil flax, due to the highest productivity (1.34 t/ha) and obtainment if a net profit (19 115 thousand rubles per 1 hectare).

In this article we analyze the arguments of the Jewish apostate Pedro de la Caballería in his work ‘Tractatus zelus Christi contra iudaeos, sarracenos et infideles’. We will see that Pedro do not give rational argument in favor on the Christian dogmas. By opposite he argues that people have to believe only according to the authority of the scripture and other authoritative texts. By the end of the article we will conclude that his opinion on rationality come probably from his Jewish background as a follower of kabbalah.

Alien species must adapt to new biogeographical regions to acclimatise and survive. We consider a species to have become invasive if it establishes negative interactions after acclimatisation. Xylella fastidiosa Wells, Raju et al., 1986 (XF) represents Italy’s and Europe’s most recent biological invasion. In Apulia (southern Italy), the XF-encountered Philaenus spumarius L. 1758 (Spittlebugs, Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha) can acquire and transmit the bacterium to Olea europaea L., 1753. The management of XF invasion involves various transmission control means, including inundative biological control using Zelus renardii (ZR) Kolenati, 1856 (Hemiptera: Reduviidae). ZR is an alien stenophagous predator of Xylella vectors, recently entered from the Nearctic and acclimated in Europe. Zelus spp. can secrete semiochemicals during interactions with conspecifics and prey, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that elicit conspecific defence behavioural responses. Our study describes ZR Brindley’s glands, present in males and females of ZR, which can produce semiochemicals, eliciting conspecific behavioural responses. We scrutinised ZR secretion alone or interacting with P. spumarius. The ZR volatilome includes 2-methyl-propanoic acid, 2-methyl-butanoic acid, and 3-methyl-1-butanol, which are consistent for Z. renardii alone. Olfactometric tests show that these three VOCs, individually tested, generate an avoidance (alarm) response in Z. renardii. 3-Methyl-1-butanol elicited the highest significant repellence, followed by 2-methyl-butanoic and 2-methyl-propanoic acids. The concentrations of the VOCs of ZR decrease during the interaction with P. spumarius. We discuss the potential effects of VOC secretions on the interaction of Z. renardii with P. spumarius.
