Embora se funde na vida e na etnografia, esta tese toda gira direta ou indiretamente em torno da memória: memória dos nomes, que sublinha tanto o vínculo da pertença como da diferença, ou seja, a marca da história na substância; memória das aldeias, que é sempre memória de um trânsito, de uma divisão, dos parentes que moram em outro lugar, memória determinante de ser parte e não Todo; músicas da memória, que são um pouco de memória em estado puro, o que se pensa nas pessoas; vingança, que é permanência da memória e movimento contínuo do pensamento; memória doentia do vegetal (puxta vëte), que inflama o desejo e reduz o corpo; memória do esquecimento, memória que falta aos parentes celestiais. No âmago da memória, os cantos yama yama. Uma das expressões mais claras dos problemas que os Yaminahua (Alto Ucayali, Peru) têm tanto para viver juntos como para viver separados. Como dizem os Yaminahua, os yama yama se cantam para alguém, e são as relações todas com esses alguém que constroem a pessoa e os cantos. Afinal, é aí, à luz de um espaço biográfico desenhado à surdina das ausências, que melhor pode observar-se o espaço dilemático em que se desenvolvem as relações sociais yaminahua. Entre a tristeza que provoca o pensar continuado e a alegria da festa e da convivência, os Yaminahua se encontram na transversal da vida. A par do mapa social, pode notar-se um mapa complexo de afetos que tecem uma rede permanente de ires, vires e perdas.

Provamos que (anti)self dual solitons gradientes (quasi) Yamabe com curvatura seccional positiva são rotacionais simétricos. Além disso, mostramos que, (anti)self dual solitons gradientes de Yamabe tem uma estrutura de produto torcido muito particular desde que a função potencial não tenha pontos críticos. Consideramos solitons gradientes de Yamabe conformes a espaços pseudo-Euclidianos n-dimensionais. Caracterizamos todos os solitons que são invariantes pela ação de um grupo de translação (n-1)-dimensional e obtemos os solitons tipo estável. Como aplicação, obtemos um exemplo de soliton gradiente de Yamabe estável completo, conforme a um espaço Lorentziano. Investigamos também os pontos críticos do funcional curvatura escalar total restrito a um espaço de métricas com curvatura escalar constante e volume unitátio que denotamos por métricas CPE. Foi conjecturado nos anos 1980 que toda métrica CPE é, necessariamente, Einstein. Provamos que métricas CPE, no caso de dimensão quatro, com tensor W+ harmônico são isométricas à esfera S4 dada uma condição integral. No caso n-dimensional, provamos uma condição necessária e suficiente sobre a norma do gradiente da função potencial para que a métrica CPE seja Einstein.
We prove that an (anti)self dual quasi Yamabe gradient soliton with positive sectional curvature is rotationally symmetric. We also prove that four dimensional (anti) self dual gradient Yamabe soliton has a special warped product structure provided that the potential function has no critical points. We consider gradient Yamabe solitons, conformal to an n-dimensional pseudo-Euclidean space. We characterize all such solitons which are invariant under the action of an (n-1)-dimensional translation group and we obtain the steady solitons. Applications provide an explicit example of a complete steady gradient Yamabe soliton, conformal to the Lorentzian space. We also investigate the critical points of the total scalar curvature functional restricted to space of metrics with constant scalar curvature of unitary volume, for simplicity CPE metrics. It was conjectured in the 1980's that every CPE metric must be Einstein. We prove that a 4-dimensional CPE metric with harmonic tensor W+ must be isometric to a round sphere S4 provided an integral condition is satisfied. We also give a necessary and sufficient condition on the norm of the gradient of the potential function for a CPE metric to be Einstein.

We start by studying the properties of these eigenvalues : One of the most important observation is that their sign is a conformal invariant. We are interested particulary by the study of the seconf eigenvalue of the Yamabe operator and we enlight the relations between its sign and the existence of nodal solutions of the Yamabe equation. At last, we etablish a surgery formula for the second Yamabe invariant which allows to obtain a lower bond for the second Yamabe invariant under some topological hypothesis

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis is devoted to the study of a family of geometric flows associated with the prescribed scalar curvature problem. More precisely, if we denote by (M,g0) a compact riemannian manifold with dimension n≥3, and if F∈C∞ (M) is a given function, the prescribed scalar curvature problem consists of finding a conformal metric g to g0 such that F is its scalar curvature. This problem is equivalent to the resolution of the following PDE : -4 (n-1)/(n-2) ∆u+R0 u=Fu((n+2)/(n-2 )) , u>0 , (E), Where R0 is the scalar curvature of the initial metric g0 and ∆ is the laplacian associated with g0.It is a nonlinear elliptic equation, whose the main difficulty comes from the term u((n+2)/(n-2 )). Apart from the case of the standard sphere Sn all the works that study the equation (E) are based on the variational method. In this thesis, we develop another approach based on the study of a family of geometric flows which allows to solve equation (E).The flows introduced are gradient flows associated with two distinct functional functions depending on the sign of R0.The first part of this thesis is devoted to the case R0<0 and in the second part we treat the case R0>0. In both cases, our aim is to proof the global existence of the flow and study its asymptotic behavior at infinity

Theorists and practician emphasizes this form of business advantages comparing with export, investment or joint venture. But Lithuanian scientists revive this form of international business doing just fragmentary. Poorly are explored mechanisms of management, control and cultural adaptation. The aim of research is to evaluate peculiarities of Yamaha music school management in Lithuania. Research hypothesis – to educators and school managers is acceptable conception of Yamaha music school. Research tasks: 1. Evaluate role of franchise in context of international business; 2. Evaluate juridical and management dimensions; 3. Represent main aspects of Yamaha music school network worldwide and in Lithuania; 4. Explore peculiarities of Yamaha music schools management in Lithuania. The results of educators and managers interview shows that main concept of Yamaha music school is acceptable and realizable. All respondents pass requirements of qualification. Activity is organized by contract requirements, which essentially pass the main requirements of Civil Code. As distinct from Japanese culture in Lithuania educators prefer individual work with children. But it does not impact to main motto: “Learn with pleasure” implementation.

Повний текст джерелаWe study a class of singular metric spaces, stratified spaces, with an approach whose goal is to extend to these latter some tools and results of Riemannian geometry and analysis on smooth manifolds. In a first part, we show the existence of a lower bound for the bottom of the spectrum of the Laplacian, under the assumption that the Ricci curvature is bounded by below. This allows us to prove also the existence of a Sobolev inequality whose constants only depend on the volume and of the dimension of the space, and of an upper bound for the diameter. Furthermore, we prove that the bound for the diameter is attained if and only if the one for the bottom of the spectrum is attained as well. The second part is devoted to the direct consequences of the previous results on the Yamabe problem on a stratified space: this problem consists in looking for a conformal metric with constant scalar curvature, and the existence of a solution depends on a conformal invariant, the local Yamabe constant, whose value is generally unknown. We show that this latter can be computed in a large number of cases, when a geometric hypothesis on the singular set is verified. We use techniques which are related to the Sobolev and the isoperimetric inequalities. Finally, we give a class of examples for which we can prove the existence of a conformal metric with constant scalar curvature

In this context we have the Weak Markus-Yamabe Conjecture whose statement is as follows: If F : Rn → Rn be a C1 map such that for all p ∈ Rn, all the eigenvalues of the derivative DF(p) have negativo real part, then F is an injective map. In this work we present, some results related to this conjecture.

In this paper we prove the compactness of the full set of solutions of the Yamabe problem when n 24. We begin with the study of basic properties of blow-up points and then prove sharp pointwise estimates that will be crucial for the proof of Weyl Vanishing Theorem in these dimensions. The compactness problem then reduces to show the positivity of a certain quadratic form. We also show that this quadratic form has negative eingenvalues, if n 25. It is noteworthy that during this process the Positive Mass Theorem is a key tool in obtaining the main result.
Neste trabalho provaremos a compacidade do conjunto de solu cões do problema de Yamabe quando n 24. Iniciaremos com o estudo das propriedades báasicas de pontos de blow-up e em seguida provaremos estimativas pontuais, ótimas em certo sentido, que ser~ao de fundamental importância para a demonstra cão do Teorema do Anulamento de Weyl nestas dimensoes. O problema de compacidade ent~ao se reduz a mostrar a positividade de uma certa forma quadr atica. Provaremos ainda que, se n 25, tal forma quadr atica tem autovalores negativos. Vale ressaltar que durante tal processo o Teorema de Massa Positiva ser a uma ferramenta chave na obten cão do resultado principal.

Neste trabalho, consideramos variedades completas, não-compactas, satisfazendo alguma hipótese sobre a curvatura de Ricci radial. Na primeira parte, obtemos algumas estimativas `a priori e também a questão de existência para equações tipo Yamabe em tais variedades. Como consequência destes resultados, mostramos um teorema de existência de métricas conformes com curvatura escalar dada. Na segunda parte, estudamos algumas famílias de desigualdades clássicas da análise. Entre outras coisas, mostramos que uma variedade completa, não-compacta, satisfazendo a propriedade do volume duplicado e tal que vale alguma desigualdade de Gagliardo- Nirenberg, possui máximo crescimento de volume. Também mostramos que variedades completas n˜ao compactas com curvatura de Ricci não negativa e que satisfazem alguma desigualdade de Log-Sobolev ou de Hardy, com uma constante “próxima”da melhor constante do caso Euclideano, são difeomorfas a este último. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT
In this work, we consider complete non-compact manifolds, satisfying some hypothesis about the radial Ricci curvature. In the first part, we obtain some priori estimates and also the question of existence for Yamabe type equations in such manifolds. As a consequence of these results, we show a theorem of existence of conformal metrics with scalar curvature given. In the second part, we study some families of classical inequalities of analysis. Among other things, we show that a complete non-compact manifold satisfying the doubling volume property and such that some inequality of Gagliardo-Nirenberg holds, has maximal volume growth. We also show that non-compact manifolds with non-negative Ricci curvature and satisfying some inequality of Log-Sobolev or Hardy, with a constant “ close ”to the best constant of the Euclidean case are diffeomorphics to the latter.

It thus evolves with seasons, rotational system of farming and fallow. Whether it's high or low density, the organization of space does not take into account the existence of herds. The space is entirely subjected to agricultural activities and remains only spaces unsuitable for agriculture. The native populations even if they invest more and more in cattle, have adopted strategies for extension of agricultural land without taking into account the pastoral activities. They have more and more increased their agricultural land fields because of the development of yoking and reduction of soil fertility. The transhumant shepherds have real difficulties of movement. The decline of the pastoral systems in savannah region of Chad seems to be mainly due to policies of development unsuited to pastoral spaces, with in particular a land ownership regulation system which largely favor agricultural activities and forest protection

Повний текст джерелаMi investigación se basa en ecuaciones no-locales elípticas semilineales que surgen en la geometría conforme. La curvatura fraccionaria se define partir del Laplaciano fraccionario conforme y es una versión no local de algunas de las curvaturas locales clásicas tales como la curvatura escalar, la Q-curvatura (operador de orden 4) o la curvatura media. Esta nueva noción de curvatura no-local tiene buenas propiedades conformes que permiten tratar problemas clásicos desde un punto de vista de convexidad más general. Debemos tener en cuenta que se trata de una curvatura fraccionaria distinta a la definida por Caffarelli, Roquejoffre y Savin . En particular, he trabajado en el problema de Yamabe singular fraccionario y problemas relacionados. Se trata de un problema que aparece en la geometría conforme cuando intentamos encontrar una métrica conforme a la dada en una variedad, que tenga curvatura fraccionaria constante y singularidades prescritas. Más concretamente, el problema que he considerado para mi tesis es encontrar soluciones para el problema de Yamabe fraccionario en el espacio Euclídeo de dimensión mayor que 2¿, 0<¿<1, con singularidades aisladas prescritas: en primer lugar, consideré sólo soluciones radiales para una singularidad aislada y más adelante, soluciones para este problema cuando el conjunto singular consta de un número finito de puntos. La tesis está compuesta por nueve capítulos. En primer lugar, hacemos una introducción a modo de sumario de la tesis. Después, hay un capítulo conocimientos básicos, notación, historia del problema y resultados previos. En los capítulos 3,4,5 y 6 presentamos los principales resultados de la tesis, que resumimos más abajo. Finalmente, presentamos brevemente la idea de trabajo para el futuro cercano. En la tesis podemos encontrar también, dos apéndices con cálculos y resultados que serán útiles en la lectura de la tesis. El comienzo de mi investigación se basó en la interpretación geométrica del problema para un singularidad aislada (Capítulo 3). Este estudio parte del problema de extensión para calcular el Laplaciano fraccionario conforme. Se trata de un problema Dirichlet-to-Neumann para una ecuación elíptica, pero local, que proporciona un ejemplo del problema de reacción con borde en el que la no-linearidad es del tipo exponente crítico de Sobolev. Más adelante, traté el mismo problema pero desde el punto de vista de una ecuación integro diferencial. Este método presenta dos dificultades principales: la pérdida de compacidad y el hecho de que estamos tratando con una ODE( ecuación diferencial ordinaria ) no local (Capítulo 4). Nuestro estudio es llevado a cabo utilizando el método variacional y prueba la existencia de soluciones ¿del tipo Delaunay¿ para nuestro problema. Estas soluciones son radialmente simétricas y tienen curvatura fraccionaria constante. Por último, he utilizado métodos de "gluing" (o pegado) junto con el método de reducción de Lyapunov para la construcción de soluciones para el problema de Yamabe singular fraccionario cuando el conjunto singular dado está formado por un número finito de puntos (Capítulo 5). Actualmente, estoy trabajando en la generalización de la desigualdad de Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg al caso fraccionario; se trata de una interpolación entre las desigualdades de Hardy y Sobolev fraccionarias. En particular, estoy estudiando la simetría o pérdida de simetría de los minimizantes (Capítulo 6). Повний текст джерелаCauchy-Riemann geometry, CR for short, is the natural geometry of real pseudoconvex hypersurfaces of $C^{n+1}$ for $ngeq 1$. We consider the generic case when CR manifolds are contact manifolds. CR geometry presents strong analogies with conformal geometry; hence, known invariants and techniques of conformal geometry can be transported to that context. We focus in this thesis on two such invariants. In a first part, using asymptotically complex hyperbolic geometry, we introduce a CR covariant differential operator on maps from a CR manifold to a Riemannian manifold, which coincides on functions with the CR Paneitz operator. In a second part, we propose a Yamabe invariant for contact manifolds which admit a CR structure, and we study its behaviour under connected sum

Apresentamos vÃrios resultados de existÃncia, unicidade, rigidez e bifurcaÃÃo para o problema da prescriÃÃo de diversas estruturas geomÃtricas em variedades Riemannianas, entre os quais incluem-se: i) deformaÃÃo e rigidez para estruturas 2k-Einstein em variedades com (2k − 2)-curvatura seccional constante; ii) deformaÃÃo conforme de mÃtricas no contexto do problema de Yamabe para curvaturas de Gauss-Bonnet; iii) unicidade, bifurcaÃÃo e rigidez local no Ãmbito do problema de Yamabe para as funÃÃes simÃtricas dos autovalores do tensor de Schouten.
We present several results of existence, uniqueness, rigidity and bifurcation for the problem of prescribing various geometric structures on Riemannian manifolds, among which include: i) deformation and rigidity for 2k-Einstein structures on manifolds with constant (2k − 2)-sectional curvature; ii) conformal deformation of metrics in the context of the Yamabe Problem for Gauss-Bonnet curvatures; iii) uniqueness, bifurcation and local rigidity in scope of the Yamabe Problem for symmetric functions of eigenvalues of the Schouten tensor.

In this thesis, we prove estimates for the volume and boundary area of stable hypersurfaces ∑n-1 with nonpositive Yamabe invariant satisfying the free boundary condition in a Riemannian manifold Mn with bounds for the scalar curvature and the mean curvature of the boundary. Assuming further that ∑ is locally volume-minimizing in a manifold M with scalar curvature bounded below by a nonpositive constant, we conclude that locally M splits along ∑ as (-Є, Є)x ∑, for some Є > 0. In the case that ∑ locally minimizes a certain functional inspired by the work of Yau (2001), a neighborhood of ∑ in M is isometric to ((-Є, Є) x ∑, dt2 + e2tg), where g is Ricci at. In the second part, we study other scalar curvature rigidity phenomena adapting a technique developed by Máximo e Nunes (2013) to show a local rigidity result for three-dimensional Riemannian manifold M3 whose scalar curvature is bounded from below by a negative constant. We prove the following result: Let ∑2 ⊂ M3 be a stable minimal surface which locally maximizes the Hawking mass on M. Then M near ∑ is a piece of one the Kottler space.
Nesta tese, provamos estimativas para o volume e área do bordo de hipersuperficies estáveis ∑n-1 com invariante de Yamabe não positivo satisfazendo à condição de bordo livre em uma variedade Riemanniana de dimensão n com limitação na curvatura escalar e curvatura média do bordo. Supondo ainda que ∑ é localmente minimizante de volume em uma variedade M com curvatura escalar limitada inferiormente por uma constante não positiva, concluímos que localmente M divide-se ao longo ∑ como (-Є, Є)x ∑, para algum Є > 0. No caso em que ∑ localmente minimiza um funcional adequado inspirado pelo trabalho de Yau (2001), uma vizinhança de ∑ em M é isométrica a ((-Є, Є) x ∑, dt2 +e2tg), onde g é Ricci plana. Na segunda parte, estudamos outro fenômeno de rigidez pela curvatura escalar adaptando a técnica desenvolvida por Máximo e Nunes (2013) para mostrar um resultado local de rigidez para uma variedade Riemanniana tridimensional M3 cuja curvatura escalar é limitada inferiormente por um constante negativa. Provamos o seguinte resultado: Seja ∑2 ⊂ M3 uma superfície mínima estritamente estável que localmente maximiza a massa Hawking em M. Então M perto de ∑ é um pedaço de um dos espaços de Kottler.

Nesta dissertação estudamos uma classe de equações elípticas tipo Yamabe em uma variedade Riemanniana compacta, sem bordo, de dimensão n ≥ 3. Tais equaçõoes tem sido alvo de investigações por décadas. Daremos ênfase a H1 -teoria de blow-up estudando sequências de Palais-Smale associadas com a equação crítica, definindo os pontos de blow-up e provando o teorema de decomposição em bolhas.
In this dissertation we study a class of elliptic Yamabe type equations on a compact Riemannian manifold, without boundary, of dimension n ≥ 3. Such equations have been the target of investigation for decades. The main focus will be on H1 -theory for the blow-up studying Palais-Smale sequences associated with the critical equation, defining the blow-up points and proving the theorem of decomposition in bubbles.

Computer security performance analysis requires precise labeling of traffic as either background or attack traffic. When an experiment is performed on-line, it may also be important to identify traffic from the security system. Today this is tedious and difficult, requiring personnel with a deep understanding of multiple protocols. YAMA (Your Able Marking Aide) is a tool that labels sessions and packets associated with a set of user actions given those actions, the traffic, and a network configuration (host information and web page corpus). An evaluation of a version that processes web traffic is performed using data from Alexas Top 100 Sites. YAMA 1.0 correctly associates the action of visiting a specific site with 90% of all HTTP packets, and 99% of both HTTP GET and DNS packets. Furthermore, YAMA 1.0 produces zero false positives when given a high-level event indicating a user visited one web site and packets from a different site.

In the fisrt part of this work we investigate the modified Yamabe problem on four-dimensional manifolds whose the modifiers invariants depending on the eigenvalues of the Weyl curvature tensor and they are described in terms of maximum and minimum of the biorthogonal (sectional) curvature. We provide some geometrical and topological properties on four-dimensional manifolds in terms of these invariants. In the second part we investigate the critical points of the total scalar curvature functional restricted to space of metrics with constant scalar curvature of unitary volume, for simplicity CPE metrics. It was conjectured in the 1980’s that every CPE metric must be Einstein. We prove that such a conjecture is true under a second-order vanishing condition on the Weyl tensor.
Na primeira parte deste trabalho investigamos o problema de Yamabe modificado em variedades de dimensão quatro cujos invariantes modificadores dependem dos autovalores do tensor de Weyl e são descritos em termos do máximo e mínimo da curvatura biortogonal (seccional). Fornecemos algumas propriedades geométricas e topológicas para tais variedades em termos destes invariantes. Na segunda parte investigamos os pontos críticos do funcional curvatura escalar total restrito ao espaço de métricas com curvatura escalar constante e volume unitário, abreviadamente chamamos de métricas CPE. Conjecturou-se na década de 1980 que toda métrica CPE deve ser Einstein. Provamos que tal conjectura é verdadeira sob uma condição de nulidade sobre o divergente de segunda ordem do tensor de Weyl.

After having explained this problem for General Relativity (GR), we present the n + 1 formalism for ƒ(R) theories, Brans-Dicke and scalar-tensor theories. We recall a known result: the Cauchy problem for these theories is well-posed, and the constraint equations are reduced to those of GR with a matter field. Then we proceed to the same n+1 decomposition for Lovelock and ƒ(Lovelock) theories, the latter being an original result. We show that in the locally conformally flat timesymmetric case, they can be written as the prescription of a sum of σk-curvatures. In order to solve the prescription equation, we introduce a new family of homogeneous semisymmetric polynomials and prove some concavity results for those polynomials.
