Повний текст джерелаThis dissertation addresses the religious dimension of the life and work of Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889 1951). First of all, we demonstrate that this religious element in Wittgenstein’s thought cannot be understood in isolation from his life. Secondly, we show that their exists a close relationship between the traditional interpretations of his “religious point of view” and the history of the publication of his manuscripts. Thirdly, we sketch Wittgenstein’s religious biography, placing the various texts now available in their historical context, with the intention of reconstructing his “religious imagination”. We show how he addresses his own spiritual difficulties, dialogues with religious authors and often elucidates philosophical problems with religious examples. Finally, we examine the notion of “soul” as Wittgenstein’s describes it in his last philosophy as well as its role in post-Wittgensteinian philosophy of religion

Повний текст джерелаOur belief in the possibility of a systematic theory of meaning is thwarted by l. Wittgenstein's arguments against a conception of language as calculus. Using wittgenstein's own arguments and his discusion of rule-following, we contend that the status he attributes to language forecloses the possibility of a dummettian (like) theory of meaning. If correctly interpreted, the distinction wittgenstein draws between maying and showing contributes significantly to show that an epistemological position must be the result of a correct understanding of the way our everyday language works, and not be imposed upon language. Повний текст джерелаOs objetos desta dissertação são a concepção de filosofia de Ludwig Wittgenstein no Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus e nas Investigações Filosóficas, bem como a transformação que a concepção de filosofia de Wittgenstein sofreu do Tractatus às Investigações. Interpretaremos todos os trechos das referidas obras relevantes para os temas a serem tratados, e justificaremos nossa interpretação em dois níveis. No primeiro nível de justificação, recorreremos à interpretação de Oskari Kuusela a fim de mostrar que nossa interpretação se justifica por sua concordância com a de Kuusela, pois entendemos que Wittgenstein procura elaborar uma concepção de filosofia desprovida de teorias e, portanto, livre de dogmatismo, tendo falhado em sua primeira tentativa, no Tractatus, mas sendo bem sucedido em sua segunda tentativa, nas Investigações. No segundo nível de justificação, recorreremos às interpretações dos principais comentadores da filosofia de Wittgenstein a fim de mostrar que a interpretação de Kuusela se justifica por solucionar os problemas que as interpretações dos principais comentadores da filosofia de Wittgenstein não solucionam, uma vez que tais interpretações não são capazes de explicar como Wittgenstein falha no Tractatus e tem sucesso nas Investigações em sua empresa de conceber uma filosofia livre de dogmatismo
The objects of this dissertation are Wittgenstein’s conception of philosophy in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus and in the Philosophical Investigations, as well as the transformation that Wittgenstein’s conception of philosophy suffered from the Tractatus to the Investigations. We will interpret every passage of the referred works relevant to the subjects to be treated, and we will justify our interpretation in two levels. At the first level of justification, we will appeal to the interpretation of Oskari Kuusela in order to show that our interpretation is justified by its agreement with Kuusela’s, because we understand that Wittgenstein seeks to elaborate a conception of philosophy devoid of theories and, therefore, free of dogmatism, having failed in his first attempt, in the Tractatus, but succeeding in his second attempt, in the Investigations. At the second level of justification, we will appeal to the interpretations of the main commentators of Wittgenstein’s philosophy in order to show that Kuusela’s interpretation is justified by solving the problems that the interpretations of the main commentators of Wittgenstein’s philosophy do not solve, once that such interpretations are not able to explain how Wittgenstein fails in the Tractatus and succeeds in the Investigations in his enterprise of conceiving a philosophy free of dogmatism

Повний текст джерела“This thesis sheds light on the aspect change of Wittgensteinian research between the Philosophical Investigations as being in the ‘grip of stress’ due to incomprehension, contrasted with Wittgenstein’s album linked to comprehension of it, positioned as resulting in a conceptual investigation on blindness to aspect and aspect change. The grip of stress is itself an aspect. This conceptual investigation was inaugurated at the juncture where the Philosophical Investigations critical-genetic edition situated the end of the work in 2001. We demonstrate that the question of aspects, their change and blindness to it were already present in Wittgenstein’s earlier manuscripts. On this basis, we describe how the incomprehension the Philosophical Investigations manifest, contradicts any call for insertability of complementary material in the work that would freeze its form. Rather, by the relationship of comprehension of this incomprehension, called “Album”, to the way of seeing things that constitutes surveyability, we show, by the translation and connection of the Philosophical Investigations to the conceptual research milestones, the bias through which the work inserts itself in the study of Wittgenstein on aspect change and blindness to it. We argue that the relationship of progressive change in language to the true discovery that constitutes a synoptic way out of philosophy enables us via this conceptual research to renew the manner of seeing the relations of the condition of language to those of philosophy through its aesthetics. It thus offers an alternative dynamic to the static conception of surveyability after which the oeuvre is hierarchised today. This is an alternative that now should be transcribed in the electronic edition of Wittgensteins’s literary estate (Nachlass). ”

Повний текст джерелаWe are consciously or unconsciously influenced by scientism and logical positivism. So we asked a question: Can we speak of God today? To answer the question, we focus on two philosophers, Wittgenstein and Simone Weil. According to Wittgenstein, “Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.” What he means by that is not that God doesn’t exist or that God is not intelligible as say scientism and logical positivism. What he means by that is that God does exist, but we can’t talk about him because of the limits of our language. But the lack of Wittgenstein is to look away from religious or metaphysical intelligibility. As for Simone Weil, she speaks of God in her writings and letters. What allows her to speak of God? This is our first point of interest. And our second point of interest is to define the mystical experience of Simone Weil, because the use of the word “mystical” in studies of Weil is rather arbitrary. Our third point of interest is to highlight the relationship between “non-reading” and intuition in Simone Weil. Our fourth point of interest is to explore the relationship between Zen Buddhism and the thought of Simone Weil. Through studying them, we will answer this question and, through Weil’s concept of intuition, we propose a worldview that is different from scientism and from logical positivism

Повний текст джерелаIn this thesis, entitled wittgenstein and aesthetics, we intend to show that it is impossible to define the conept of the beautiful, on which traditional aesthetics is based; a theory advocated by wittgenstein. For him, the "beautiful" is an indefinable concept, because of the many uses that we make of it. Thus, he concludes that aesthetics is inexpressible, in the same way as ethics is unspeakable. We don't agree with wittgenstein's conclusion, and we think that his philosophy is not a philosophy of pure language, but a philologology. However, for him, the aesthetics is not condemned to the absolute silence, for "it has to give reasons". But, this argument is blurred and very discutable, since "to give reasons" means to understand the artist's intentions, which is very difficult, perhaps impossible. . . Thus, for wittgenstein, aesthetics is expressible in the form of reactions. It supposes a capacity to appreciate correct manner and a good knowledge of rules, or "feeling of the rules". In our opinion , if wittgenstein was right in insisting on the socioculturalcontext, on which a work of art is founded, we prefer ro substitute aesthetics of implementation to traditional aesthetics. A) to describe how the concept of culture is internally connected with the fundamental conceptuality of w's philosophy (in each one of his socalled "periods"); to show the normative relevance of culture in the philosophical use of "sprache", "grammatik", "sprachspiel", "lebensform"; b) from a more general point of view, the second requirement consists of the clarification of all possible hermeneutics and theory of values. Abstract: The present work is not presenting the, but is an argumentation for, a grammatical boarding of the meaning of the words wanting and will. Such a treatment situate itself between the empirical and the transcendental, seeing the grammatical therapy of the second Wittgenstein as a philosophical pragmatics. Without reduction to the empirical neither apeal to the transcendental,this conception lead us to the revision of the episthemological project of Gaston-Granger at the light of the Ph. Investigation' s philosophical project, interpretating, so, the concept of 'style', following A. Moreno, as dealing with the positiv face of the structures, not just as its negativ face. The application of bakhtinian cathegories permit us to see in a more perspicuous way the peculiarity of this philosophy, wich style is so carachterized as dialogical (that is, as monolocally irreductible). In this application of a comparativ-topical method (inspirated on the J. Proust work) we are trying to make explicit the position assumed by the last Wittgenstein, comparing it with other two moments of bis own trajectory: the dual view about the will in the TLP (empirical/transcendetal, facts/values) and with the view shared by the calcul-model of the Intermediary fase (1928-1936). The comparation enable us to rend explicit the role and importance of Schopenhauer for the understanding of the sense of the transcendental of the Logic and of the Ethics (and the Solipsism) of the TLP, of the persisting confusion of the Intermediary Fase about causes and reasons, his way of boarding the mithologies of the 'mental' and of the 'inner life', throught an Agostinin Image of the Will (that we have found in the section 600 of the Ph. 1.), his mature understanding of a 'philosophy of psycology' and, at last, the way for a grammatical dissolution of the 'eternal philosophycal problem' of the 'Freedom and Determinism'

Повний текст джерелаReturning to the source from which Wittgenstein’s ideas emerged (chap. 1) and the hermeneutical analysis of his Tractatus (chap. 2), of his Lecture on Ethics (chap. 3) and his writings about the aims of confession (chap. 4) have revealed three complementary and contemporary ethical concepts in the case of Wittgenstein, concepts which, however, developed differently over different periods of time. Comparing his Tractatus, his Secrete Copy-Books and his Philosophical Investigations with his Copy-Books 1914 – 1916 shows three philosophies different in language, action theory and ethical conception. The absence of any experience theory justifies the phenomenological language of Tractatus as well as a meta-ethical conception. In his Philosophical Investigations we find an action theory, a physicalist language associated with a meta-ethical conception. The substantial ethics of his writings about the aims of confession avoids the question of language to the advantage of ethical sense and foundations. By reducing Wittgenstein’s ethical conception only to his substantial ethics allowed those claiming an ethical interpretation to see the driving force of his philosophy only in his substantial ethics to the disadvantage of a synthesis of substantial ethics and meta-ethics (chap. 5). Both the substantial ethics and the philosophy of the social element constitute together the conditions for the possibility of the sense which for Wittgenstein is the very source of life in community (chap. 6). His refusal to focus his philosophy on ethics does not mean that he ignores its importance. For him anything that makes sense is ethical and what is ethical makes sense

Este trabalho visa compreender o pensamento do Wittgenstein tardio, a partir de um diálogo com duas correntes da filosofia: o pragmatismo americano e a hermenêutica filosófica alemã. A partir de uma reflexão fronteiriça, busca aspectos dessas correntes de pensamento que permitam revelar um pouco mais da obra do filósofo austríaco, particularmente da sua fase tardia, especialmente representada pelas Investigações Filosóficas e o Da Certeza. Esse método de reflexão foi especialmente inspirado no livro Margens das Filosofias da Linguagem, de Julio Cabrera, em que diversas contraposições, especialmente em torno de Wittgenstein, são realizadas. No diálogo com o pragmatismo, representado por John Dewey e Richard Rorty, é explicitada uma aproximação do Wittgenstein que reconhece a importância do uso da linguagem para sua atribuição de significado, com a corrente americana. Também é aspecto importante certa conseqüência dessa visão, que de ambos os lados rejeita as tradicionais leituras dualistas da filosofia. Por outro lado, é analisada a grande distância que há entre a visão otimista de futuro e de progresso nos pragmatistas com a filosofia de Wittgenstein, que parece rejeitar essa perspectiva. Com a hermenêutica filosófica, representada por Heidegger e Gadamer, também há importantes aproximações, em certa leitura “holística” do significado, e, para usar terminologias de Charles Taylor, na assunção de uma dimensão constitutiva da linguagem e de uma linguagem “engajada” entre os autores comparados. Por outro lado, este trabalho avalia, ao contrário de Charles Taylor, que a noção de background os separa, em função de um Wittgenstein que, a partir da impossibilidade de dizer além da própria linguagem, se recusa a “dizer” o background. É objetivo desse trabalho, além de investigar um pouco mais sobre o Wittgenstein, a partir desse diálogo, provocar reflexões indiretas sobre o próprio diálogo e sobre a própria noção de filosofia. ___________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT
This paper seeks to understand the late Wittgenstein, departing from a dialog with two important philosophical streams: American pragmatism and German hermeneutic philosophy. Dialoging with “borders”, it looks for aspects from each one that can reveal the very work from Wittgenstein, especially Philosophical Investigations and On Certainty. This method was inspired by the book Margens das Filosofias da Linguagem, from Julio Cabrera, which has undertook manifold confrontations, always using Wittgenstein’s works. In dialog with pragmatism, in particular with John Dewey and Richard Rorty, it is exhibited a similarity with the Austrian philosopher, because both recognize the importance of use to ascribe significance in language. Other similarity is the rejection to traditional dualisms in philosophy. Nevertheless, there is a great distance between the optimistic confidence of pragmatists and Wittgenstein, who rejects this kind of perspective. We also can see important similarities with hermeneutics, represented by Heidegger and Gadamer. There is a kind of “holistic” reading of meanings, and using Charles Taylor’s terms, we assume that there is a constitutive dimension from an “engaged” language among the compared authors. Though, this paper concludes differing from Taylor, that the background notion separates them, because Wittgenstein refuses to “say” the background. Finally we aim to obliquely reflect about dialog itself and the very notion of philosophy, besides investigating the late Wittgenstein.

Повний текст джерелаThe philosophical scientific community has access to the entire literary estate of Ludwig Wittgenstein since Oxford University Press published the Bergen Electronic Edition of Wittgenstein's Nachlass" in 2001. The "Bergen Electronic Edition" includes all of Wittgenstein's unpublished manuscripts as catalogued by Georg Henrik von Wright in his "The Wittgenstein Papers". Including only very few informations and comments concerning the different manuscripts of Wittgenstein, it is still difficult for a reader or for a user of the "Bergen Electronic Edition" to work with the Nachlass. My doctorate consists of a chronological reconstruction of important parts of Wittgenstein's Nachlass. This "genealogy" of the Nachlass includes informations concerning more than one hundred different notebooks, manuscripts and typescripts and their biographical context; it shall make it easier for readers and researchers to work with Wittgenstein's Nachlass. This "genealogy" is also an contribution to practical esthetics of philosophy

O trabalho que se segue não é o trabalho que eu gostaria de ter escrito. Ele é um trabalho que visa satisfazer exigências acadêmicas. Entretanto, utilizo Wittgenstein para expor meus próprios pensamentos (que aparecem mais claramente no apêndice). Espero mostrar aqui que as Investigações não trazem apenas os resultados de Wittgenstein, mas também os seus métodos. Espero mostrar também que Wittgenstein pretendia que eles pudessem ser usados para resolver problemas filosóficos diferentes dos problemas através dos quais ele apresentou-os. De fato, ele apresentou-os através dos problemas que o circundavam. Filosofar é identificar e atacar os problemas do seu próprio tempo e do seu próprio meio (cujos limites, entretanto, são difusos). Darei assim uma atenção especial ao começo das Investigações, tentando entender a referência que Wittgenstein faz no §48 ao método do §2 e tentando em seguida individuá-lo, para depois fazer o mesmo com os métodos dos §8, §9, §10 e §14, intimamente relacionados ao §2. A idéia é isolá-los dos problemas através dos quais foram apresentados justamente para mostrar que a afirmação de Wittgenstein no prefácio das Investigações de que ele queria “estimular alguém a pensamentos próprios” está em perfeita sintonia com o corpo do texto propriamente dito. Por fim, espero mostrar que, na visão de Wittgenstein, a aplicação sistemática dos seus métodos resultaria na aquisição de uma capacidade, a saber, a capacidade de filosofar (é ela que traz paz ao espírito). Assim, as Investigações podem de fato ser coerentemente descritas como um manual ou como um livro de exercícios.

Resumo: Esta tese pretende, primeiro: reconstruir argumentativamente as considerações éticas de Wittgenstein e, segundo: salientar as relações que estas considerações possuem com as noções de linguagem e subjetividade que o filósofo sustentou ao longo de sua obra. Achamos que existe uma relação muito forte entre subjetividade, ética e linguagem e que esta relação muda entre os dois períodos em que se costuma dividir o seu pensamento. Portanto, um acompanhamento das considerações éticas de Wittgenstein nos obrigará a ver como tais considerações se relacionam com a noção de filosofia que este tinha e, sobretudo, a especificar a noção de "terapia gramatical". A partir destas reflexões tentamos redefinir o caráter ético do conceito de filosofia como "terapia"
Abstract: This thesis intend at fírst: to rebuild in an arguable way the ethics considerations of Wittgenstein, and second: to point out the relations that have those considerations wíth the notions of language and subjectivity to this philosopher supported along his works. We believe that has a strong relation among subjectivity, ethics and language, and this relation changes between the two periods that have been used to separate his thought. Therefore, following up the ethical considerations of Wittgenstein it will make us to see how those considerations are related with the notion of philosophy that he had and above ali, to specify the statement of "grammatical therapy". From those reflective considerations we tried to give a new definition of ethical character by the philosophy's concept as "therapy"

Повний текст джерелаIn his Seminar XVII, Lacan says that Wittgenstein's philosophy is a special reply to the truth of the master hidden by the desire for knowledge within the university discourse. We wish to show that, contrary to the philosophers’ tendency to capture the other’s desire by occupying the place of the Big Other, Wittgenstein does not want to save the truth, which does not go without a psychotic subjective position in as much as the truth, from his standpoint, is not a rock but much rather what he does not want to know anything about. In that light, he philosophizes without the truth, thus thwarting that which, about the truth of the symptom, cannot be escaped, and opposing any half-saying. Nothing about it can be said, because to do so one should place oneself outside of language : the truth is identified with the unspeakable in such a way that it gets neutralized. We thus reveal that Wittgenstein’s operation forces the truth to silence : it proceeds from the rejection of the unconscious. On Wittgenstein’s tree, says Lacan, there are no fruits : his work is not done for more-of-to enjoy and kills the knowledge by hunting out the belief contained in it. Thus, to philosophize without the truth is tantamount to a name of sinthome in so far as, in it, clears up an opaque enjoyment which excludes the enjoyed-sense since it is short-circuited by the logic stops that Wittgenstein finds out in the language as an artificial limit of meaning : there is inexprimable. Our final discussion concerns the question of whether Wittgenstein embodies the sinthome : can he embody it since he bridles his word by the fierce imperative : "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent"

Повний текст джерелаThe second Wittgenstein was one of the most important thinkers in the history of analytic philosophy. He is known for his provocative conception of philosophy according to which metaphysical propositions - and more generally philosophical propositions - are nonsensical. Thus understood, the main task of philosophy is to eliminate these propositions and to show that metaphysical problems are pseudo-problems. Many commentators of the second Wittgenstein's works assume that this conception affects any form of metaphysics and that he showed the illegitimacy of any metaphysics. In the meanwhile metaphysics renewed in the analytic tradition. In such a context a question raises: Did the second Wittgenstein really undermine the legitimacy of metaphysics? Our main aim here is to show that he did not. On the contrary, the second Wittgenstein can be understood as a common sense metaphysician, that is as a philosopher who gives us tools, ideas, and a method to rethink the metaphysical enterprise. Hence, he does offer us means to defend the legitimacy of metaphysics

Resumo: Este trabalho mostra que o misticismo do Tractatus é de fundamental importância para a compreensão da atitude de Wittgenstein perante o mundo e a vida. O místico que se mostra na estrutura do mundo e da linguagem é inefável e, é a única solução para a metafísica. O Tractatus não pretende ser uma negação positivista da metafísica, como sugerido pela interpretação dos membros do Círculo de Viena. Wittgenstein, nesta obra, inaugura uma nova postura diante da metafísica. Quando se atinge a perspectiva de contemplação do mundo sub specie aeterni, é possível perceber porque a metafísica é incapaz de expressar o que há de mais sublime. O silêncio é a única atitude lógico-filosófica de quem compreende que a linguagem esbarra em seus limites, nos limites do mundo, toda vez que queira dizer algo sublime
Abstract: This work shows that the mysticism of the Tractatus is of fundamental importance for the understanding Wittgenstein's attitude towards the world and life. The mystic which is showed in the structure of the world and language is ineffable, and is the only solution for the metaphysics. The Tractatus is not intended to be a positivist denial of metaphysics, as suggested by the interpretation of the members of the Vienna Circle. Wittgenstein, in this work, inaugurates a new attitude toward metaphysics. When one achieves the perspective of contemplation of the world sub specie aeterni, it is possible to see why the metaphysics is unable to express what is most sublime. Silence is the only logical and philosophical attitude of one who understands that language comes up against its limits, within the limits of the world, every time one wants to say something sublime

Resumo: Este trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar, através da filosofia da linguagem, a relação entre linguagem e educação como formação. Para tal análise será utilizado como instrumento o conceito de jogos de linguagem, proposto por Ludwig Wittgenstein, e a partir dele tentar-se-á estabelecer novas possibilidades de entendimento do conceito de educação e a multiplicidade de usos que dele se faz. É possível perceber que, na maioria das vezes, o que gera muitos dos problemas inerentes ao conceito de educação é seu uso equivocado. Portanto, é preciso ter clareza sobre o conceito em uso para que se possa estabelecer as regras condizentes com os objetivos específicos a serem alcançados. O conceito de educação como formação assume um papel especial na discussão, pois ele é apontado como uma variável, ou melhor, como um jogo de linguagem que, entre tantas possibilidades, tenta rever o conceito de educação em seu princípio gerador na cultura ocidental
Abstract: This work has the objective of analyzing, through the Philosophy of Language, the relationship between language and education as fonnation. For such analysis it will be used as instrument the concept of language games, proposed by Ludwig Wittgenstein, and starting ITom rum will try to settle down new possibilities of understanding the education concept and the multiplicity of uses we make of him. It is possible to notice that, most of the time, what generates many ofthe inherent problems to the education concept is its mistaken use. Therefore, it is necessary to have c1arity on the concept in use, so that is possible establishing the correspondent mIes with the specific objectives to be reached. The education concept as fonnation assumes a special role in the discussion, because it is aimed as a variable, or better, as a language game that, among so much possibilities, it tries to review the education concept in its generating beginning in the westem culture

Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é fazer uma leitura das idéias de Ludwig Wittgenstein sobre a linguagem, tendo o silêncio como fio condutor das nossas considerações. Temos uma dupla finalidade: a primeira é identificar as formas de silêncio na vida e obra do filósofo austríaco como uma tentativa de compreender o autor e seu estilo idiossincrático, marcado por uma escrita assistemática e aforística; a segunda é identificar as formas de silêncio expressos na aprendizagem da matemática escolar a partir da afirmação feita por Michael Peters de que há um potencial pedagógico na forma como o filósofo empreende sua crítica. Procuramos, através de uma perspectiva não convencional "mostrada" por Wittgenstein, identificar o não-dito, mostrá-lo e desvelar o feitiço por meio da linguagem que ainda prevalece na aprendizagem da matemática escolar
Abstract: The aim of this work is to make a reading of Ludwig Wittgenstein¿s ideas onlanguage taking the silence as thread of our considerations. We have a dual purpose: the first is to identify the forms of silence in the life and work of Austrian philosopher as an attempt to understand the author and his idiosyncratic style marked by an unsystematic and aphoristic writing; the second is to identify the forms of silence expressed in the learning of school mathematics from the assertion made by Michael Peters that there are pedagogical potential in how the philosopher makes his criticism. We seek, through unconventional perspective "shown" by Wittgenstein, identify the unspoken, show it and unveil the bewitchment by language that still prevails in the learning of school mathematics

Повний текст джерелаA segunda fase da filosofia de Ludwig Wittgenstein apresenta certa crítica à base ontológica, ao ideal de exatidão e à análise filosófica de sua fase anterior, a do Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus (1921). Esta pesquisa, a partir de uma breve contextualização, analisára o debate sobre as concepções de linguagem presentes no escrito característico da segunda fase de Wittgenstein as Investigações Filosóficas (1953), e seguindo com uma proposta de análise desde a significação, será analisada a possibilidade de apreender a funcionalidade da linguagem e verificar suas implicações numa possível relação entre representação da realidade e existência. Com efeito, serão focados pontos em que argumentos apresentados nas Investigações Filosóficas se destacam como relevantes para a sustentação da relação entre o argumento da linguagem e a representação da realidade. Trata-se, portanto, de uma reconstrução do pensamento do segundo Wittgenstein a respeito dessa temática delimitada, cujo propósito é avaliar a coerência interna do quadro argumentativo nas Investigações Filosóficas
The second phase of the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein presents some criticism of the ontological basis, the optimum accuracy and philosophical analysis of his earlier stage of the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus (1921). This research, from a brief background, examine the debate on the concepts of language present in writing characteristic of the second phase of Wittgenstein's Philosophical Investigations (1953), and following a proposal from the significance analysis, we will analyze the possibility of grasp the functionality of language and its implications check a possible relationship between representation of reality and there indeed. Will be focused on points that arguments presented in Philosophical Investigations stand out as relevant to support the relationship between the argument language and the representation of reality. It is therefore a reconstruction of Wittgenstein's thought about this theme bounded, whose purpose is to assess the internal consistency of the argumentative context in Philosophical Investigations

Повний текст джерелаThe context of the present work: that of the collapse of the metaphysical, religious, political certainties and the expansion of the + linguistic turn ; of thought (technologies of language included). What is at stake : to rethink again the power of judgment (from now on without guarantee); reelaborate it again as operation at work by and in the language. Hence the present rereading of wittgenstein, and in particular of his last manuscripts (published under the posthumous title : + philosophy of psychology ;), conducted in the light of the kant of critique of judgement. First task : reconsider the linguistic field itself from a dimension which exceeds its semantic and pragmatic articulations (thus contrary to the anglo-american or german present pragmatics of communication), that is : the dimension of +poetical; work of aspect (in the wittgensteinian sense). It will then be shown that wittgensteinian conception of aspect already contains, in nuce, a philosophy of imagination and judgement (this same judgement that kant calls + reflective ;, and which is not unrelated to the eustochia, the analogical genius that the greeks, opposing it to the episteme, posed as essential as well to poetry as to philosophy). An art of judgement thus emerges, which one already finds at work in the everyday practice of speech (conversation, witticism, lovers' language. . . ), but also in the + complex ; linguistic moods where the fate of an art, a literature, a thought is decided. This implies a thought of writing, sketched here, lastly, from three major motifs : that of the art of interpretation (the freudian deutungskunst), that of the art of aesthetic judgement (the kantian urteilskraft); that of the art of presentation or philosophical style (the darstellungskunst, from the kantian schematism to the wittgensteinian analogic and beyond). Resumo: Esta dissertação investiga em que sentido Wittgenstein considera que a ética é ¿transcendental¿ no Tractatus, conforme o aforismo 6.421. Para tal, realizamos neste trabalho um estudo da teoria figurativa da proposição no Tractatus, com ênfase na distinção entre o dizível e o indizível, seguido de um exame da noção de ¿sujeito metafísico¿ como aquilo que possibilita que as proposições da linguagem adquiram seu sentido pela projeção dos elementos da linguagem no mundo. Por fim, a partir da noção de ¿limites¿ do mundo e da linguagem, investigamos diversas interpretações da natureza desses limites e procuramos apresentar a unidade entre ética e lógica no Tractatus por meio de uma consideração da influência de Weininger no pensamento de Wittgenstein
Abstract: The subject of this work is the notion of ¿transcendental¿ as applied to ethics in Wittgenstein¿s Tractatus, according to the aphorism 6.421. We try to understand in which sense Wittgenstein can say there that ethics is ¿transcendental¿. To that end, we begin with a study of the ¿picture theory¿ of meaning in the Tractatus, stressing the distinction between what can and what cannot be said. After that, we examine the notion of ¿metaphysical subject¿ as what makes possible that propositions of language get their senses through the projection of the elements of the language in the world. Finally, we turn to the notion of ¿limits¿ of the world and the language, and investigate several interpretations of the nature of those limits, trying to show the unit between ethics and logic in the Tractatus by means of Weininger¿s influence in Wittgenstein¿s thought

The present study intends to enlighten the role that the reflection on psychological issues performs in Wittgenstein’s philosophy, embracing the most remarkable moments of the period that goes from his first philosophical book until his main mature work. In order to do it, the capital features of his thought are presented, so that it becomes possible to identify the function displayed by his awareness on that subject field. Thus, the development of the wittgensteinian philosophy itself is a highlighted topic. What can be noticed throughout this process is the philosopher permanent and explicit concern in making clear the structural distinction between the philosophical task and any form of scientific research on mental world, going along with a progressive enhancement of his interest on the psychological as matter of the philosophical activity. The conclusion is that both aspects are fundamental traits of Wittgentein’s thought.
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo evidenciar o papel desempenhado pela reflexão sobre o psicológico na filosofia de Ludwig Wittgenstein, abrangendo os momentos mais relevantes do período que vai de seu primeiro livro filosófico até a principal obra de sua maturidade. Com esse intuito, as principais características do pensamento do autor são expostas, de maneira que aí se possa identificar o lugar ocupado pela reflexão sobre aquele campo temático. Dessa forma, o próprio desenvolvimento da filosofia wittgensteiniana em si mesmo é um tópico em destaque. O que se observa ao longo desse processo é um permanente e explícito cuidado em tornar clara a distinção entre o trabalho filosófico e qualquer forma de pesquisa científica sobre o mundo mental, acompanhado por um progressivo aumento do interesse pelo psicológico enquanto tema da atividade filosófica. Conclui-se que ambos esses aspectos são fatores fundamentais da própria caracterização do pensamento wittgensteiniano.

To solve the problems of the language as representation is the focal point of the Tractatus. In order to accomplish this task, Wittgenstein propose a pictorial theory that seems to create a convincing strategy to assure that the logic rules of the world can determinate as the linguistic symbols, in their syntactic and semantic structures – not only the signs, when properly articulated into propositions, can effectively represent possible facts. Surprisingly, once that Wittgenstein solved this concern, he find out that the rules of language are the rules of the world, they share the same essence, and so, he ended to create not only a linguistic, but also an ontological theory as well. My primary intention is to consider the theory created by Wittgenstein, trying to rise up a few plausible problematic questions that appear in face of the perspective defended in the text.
Resolver os problemas da linguagem como representação é o foco principal do Tractatus. Para realizar tal tarefa, Wittgenstein propõe uma teoria pictórica que parece criar uma estratégia convincente para assegurar que as regras lógicas do mundo possam determinar como os símbolos lingüísticos, em suas estruturas sintáticas e semânticas – não somente os signos, quando apropriadamente articulados em proposições, podem efetivamente representar fatos possíveis. Surpreendentemente, uma vez que Wittgenstein resolve essa questão, ele descobre que as regras da linguagem são também as regras do mundo, eles compartilham a mesma essência, e assim, ele acaba criando não somente uma teoria lingüística, mas também uma teoria ontológica. Meu intuito principal é considerar em que consiste a teoria criada por Wittgenstein, buscando levantar algumas questões problemáticas que se mostram plausíveis diante da perspectiva defendida na obra.

Resumo: Em seu Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, Wittgenstein procura explicar o modo pelo qual as proposições da linguagem adquirem o sentido que expressam. A abordagem desse tema, no plano da obra, ganha a forma de uma investigação acerca da natureza essencial da representação, pois, segundo o Tractatus, uma proposição expressa um sentido na medida em que ela representa uma situação na realidade. Ao oferecer uma teoria acerca da essência da representação, Wittgenstein acaba por enunciar teses acerca das propriedades essenciais da realidade representada. Nesse ponto, existe um conflito na literatura secundária da obra entre as leituras denominadas realista e antirrealista, que divergem acerca do modo de conceber essas teses. O objetivo deste trabalho é examinar esse conflito, explicando as diferentes interpretações apresentadas por essas leituras opostas. De acordo com a leitura denominada realista, essas teses dizem respeito a uma realidade concebida como um domínio independente de sua representação linguística. Poder-se dizer então que essa linha interpretativa atribui ao Tractatus teses que podem ser tomadas como ontológicas ou metafísicas, no sentido de que elas enunciariam as propriedades últimas de um domínio real independente. Já os proponentes da leitura denominada antirrealista sustentam que essas teses dizem respeito exclusivamente à ordem lógica essencial dos nossos sistemas de representação. Por conseguinte, eles recusam que o Tractatus contenha teses que possam ser consideradas ontológicas, uma vez que a ordem lógica da linguagem teria sido o começo e o fim de todas as investigações de Wittgenstein nesta obra. Procuraremos delinear os aspectos centrais dessas duas leituras, tentando mostrar, se possível, as vantagens e desvantagens de cada uma delas no que diz respeito à sua adequação à teoria semântica desenvolvida por Wittgenstein no Tractatus
Abstract: In his Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, Wittgenstein seeks to explain the way in which the propositions of language acquire the meaning they express. The approach to this subject, in the framework of the book, assumes the form of an inquiry into the essential nature of representation, since, according to the Tractatus, a proposition expresses a sense insofar as it represents a situation in reality. By offering a theory of the essence of representation, Wittgenstein ultimately states theses about the essential properties of the reality that is represented. At this point, there is a conflict in the secondary literature between the so-called realist and anti-realist readings, which differ on how to conceive such theses. The aim of the present work is to examine this conflict, by explaining the different interpretations put forward by these opposite readings. According to the so-called realist reading, these theses relate to a reality conceived as a domain that is independent of its linguistic representation. One can say that this reading attributes to the Tractatus theses that can be taken as ontological or metaphysical, in the sense that they would state the ultimate properties of an independent reality. On the other hand, the proponents of the so-called anti-realist reading maintain that these thesis relate only to the essential logical order of our systems of representation. Therefore, they refuse that the Tractatus contains theses that could be considered as ontological, since the logical order of language would be the beginning and the end of all Wittgenstein¿s investigations in this work. We will try to outline the main aspects of these two readings, trying to show, if possible, the advantages and disadvantages of each one with regard to their adequacy to the semantic theory developed by Wittgenstein in the Tractatus
