Being one of the natural disasters, earthquake can seriously damage buildings, urban facilities and cause road blockage. Post-earthquake route planning is problem that has been addressed in frequent researches. The main aim of this research is to present a route planning model for after earthquake. It is assumed in this research that no damage data is available. The presented model tries to find the optimum route based on a number of contributing factors which mainly indicate the length, width and safety of the road. The safety of the road is represented by a number of criteria such as distance to faults, percentage of non-standard buildings and percentage of high buildings around the route. An integration of genetic algorithm and ordered weighted averaging operator is employed in the model. The former searches the problem space among all alternatives, while the latter aggregates the scores of road segments to compute an overall score for each alternative. Ordered weighted averaging operator enables the users of the system to evaluate the alternative routes based on their decision strategy. Based on the proposed model, an optimistic user tries to find the shortest path between the two points, whereas a pessimistic user tends to pay more attention to safety parameters even if it enforces a longer route. The results depicts that decision strategy can considerably alter the optimum route. Moreover, post-earthquake route planning is a function of not only the length of the route but also the probability of the road blockage.

Objective: To assess reliability of scoring plaster models and their 3D digital copy of children with complete unilateral cleft lip and palate (CUCLP) using a continuous scale (10-cm visual analog scale [VAS]) and a categorical scale (GOSLON Yardstick). Design: Reliability observational study involving 3 trained GOSLON Yardstick assessors blinded to the origin of the models. Patients: Models from 35 New Zealand (NZ) and 35 Oslo CUCLP patients were standardized and randomly ordered before rating. Outcome Measures: Assessments were undertaken using the GOSLON and the VAS for both model formats. Twenty percent of sample were randomly selected and rescored at the first assessment, and whole sample was rescored 1 week later. Weighted κ was used to assess GOSLON reliability, while correlation was used for the VAS. Results: The VAS and GOSLON intra- and inter-rater agreement was similar for both model formats. Repeat measurements on the day have similar intra-rater reliability as repeat measurements at least a week part. There was no significant difference between the 2 model formats, and both the GOSLON and VAS found the NZ models were significantly worse than Oslo. Conclusions: A 10-cm VAS is a reliable method to assess dental arch relationships and appears to have good face validity when compared to GOSLON. The VAS allows for statistically robust rankings of the dental arch relationships, although more studies will be required to enable the VAS scores to have greater clinical meaning. The 3D digital models can be used for GOSLON and VAS rankings with a high degree of reliability.

The conservation of World Natural Heritage Sites has become a global concern. The identification of priority conservation areas can preserve the value of heritage sites while promoting sustainable development, which is important for balancing the conservation and development of heritage sites. This paper proposes an integrated framework for the identification of priority conservation areas for natural heritage sites based on landscape ecological risks (LERs) and ecosystem services (ESs), taking the Bogda heritage site in Xinjiang, China as a case study. The innovative approach combined the natural and cultural elements of natural heritage sites and included the following steps: (1) the LER index, Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs (InVEST) model and questionnaire method were adopted to assess the LERs and ESs of Bogda heritage sites during 1990–2018; (2) ordered weighted averaging (OWA) was used to identify conservation priorities by weighing LERs and ESs; and (3) the optimal priority conservation area was determined by comparing the conservation efficiencies under different scenarios. The results revealed that the LER, carbon storage (CS), habitat quality (HQ), aesthetic value (AV), and recreational value (RV) showed significant spatiotemporal variation. The most suitable priority conservation area was located at the central forestlands and high-coverage grasslands, with conservation efficiencies of 1.16, 2.91, 1.96, 1.03, and 1.21 for LER, CS, HQ, AV, and RV, respectively. Our study demonstrated that integrating LERs and ESs is a comprehensive and effective approach to identifying conservation priorities for heritage sites. The results can provide decision support for the conservation of the Bogda heritage site and a methodological reference for identifying conservation priorities for natural heritage sites. Furthermore, this study is also an effective application of LERs and ESs in identifying priority conservation areas.

Abstract Introduction Transfusion medicine is unique to lab medicine. While it still involves testing and reporting of results, it is one of the few areas where the laboratory is providing treatment. The risk of providing a blood product must be weighed against the benefit before the decision is made to transfuse a patient. Our study looked at blood utilization at our regional hospitals to assess if there were areas where we need to improve this decision process. Methods Chart reviews were performed for patients who received packed red blood cells (RBCs) in the regional hospitals over a 2-month period. Using the AABB and Choosing Wisely recommendations, we created two screening criteria: hemoglobin (Hb) >8 g/dL or greater than 1 unit RBC ordered when Hb is >6 g/dL to screen for outliers among RBC orders. A more in-depth chart review including information on clinical diagnosis, indications, bleeding status, and blood loss during surgery was performed on cases that met these criteria. Using this information, a decision was made on the appropriateness of the transfusion. Results In total, 1,592 RBC units were screened at eight regional hospitals. Sixty-eight (4%) were flagged as inappropriate, 57 (83.8%) due to multiple units, and 11 (16.2%) for an Hb >8 g/dL. The percentage of inappropriate transfusions at a hospital ranged from 5.2% to 13.6%. However, all hospitals except one were under 5.5%. Discussion In general, regional physicians are transfusing RBCs appropriately. When a unit is ordered inappropriately, it is most likely due to ordering multiple units upfront. To further improve blood utilization, these data were presented to hospital administration and a new alert in the EMR was created. A repeat study will be performed to see if the alerts and awareness of these data has had an effect on blood utilization.

Abstract 69-year-old female with pituitary adenoma status-post transsphenoidal resection 6 years prior and isolated growth hormone deficiency [on somatropin 0.2 mg daily], migraines [on topiramate 25 mg daily], left lipid-rich adrenal incidentaloma, primary hypothyroidism [on levothyroxine 75 mcg daily], and secondary hyperparathyroidism from vitamin-D deficiency [on ergocalciferol 50000 IU weekly] and hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg daily presented for follow-up. Physical exam: afebrile, blood pressure hypertensive at 163/71 mmHg, heart rate 91 beats per minute, respiratory rate 18 breaths per minute, saturating 100% on room air and patient weighed 105 kg. Patient appeared obese but did not exhibit cervicodorsal fat pads, abdominal striae, or other cushingoid features. Neck was supple and did not demonstrate palpable nodules or lymphadenopathy. Labs ordered at clinic visit demonstrated normal TSH 1.28 with normal free T4 1.21, elevated PTH 232 with corrected calcium 9.7 (on hydrochlorothiazide) and normal vitamin-D, 25 level 43, normal ACTH 21, and normal IGF-1 level 75. Given adrenal incidentaloma and prior pituitary adenoma, the integrity of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis was also tested. A subsequent 8: 00 a. m. cortisol was insufficiently suppressed at 5.2 after 1 mg dexamethasone suppression test which raised concern for hypercortisolism from pituitary adenoma or adrenal adenoma. Accordingly, ACTH as well as DHEA-S and 24 hour urine cortisol as well as midnight salivary cortisol level was ordered to assess pituitary versus adrenal origin, respectively. Interestingly, while midnight salivary cortisol was found to be normal at less than 50, the 24 hour urine cortisol measurement was elevated at 878 despite otherwise normal cortisol findings. ACTH and DHEA-S levels are still pending. Plan was made to check two additional midnight cortisol levels and await ACTH and DHEA-S levels. In an effort to explain the urinary cortisol elevation, the patient's medications were reviewed and subsequent literature search revealed that topiramate may interfere with urinary cortisol measurement by causing a dose-dependent increase in the measured urinary cortisol, presumably due to its action on the kidney during renal excretion. Patient had been on topiramate for approximately 6 months prior to this assay. Presentation: No date and time listed

Background:Development of a standardized approach to assess key elements of disease activity in rheumatology clinical trials has been the goal of Outcome Measures in Rheumatology Clinical Trials (OMERACT), American College of Rheumatology (ACR), and European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR).1,2,3The core sets of measures developed include assessments and composite indices incorporating use of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and clinical measures and clinicians’ assessments to quantify disease activity over time.2PROs are important indicators of disease activity and variability, and they are increasingly used to evaluate treatment effectiveness. Little is known about PROs that patients with rheumatic conditions find most important to convey their experience with their condition and its treatment. Objectives:To examine PROs selected by patients with rheumatic conditions in the ArthritisPower registry to identify symptoms they found most important to track digitally. Methods:Adult US patients within the ArthritisPower registry with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), ankylosing spondylitis (AS), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), osteoporosis (OP), osteoarthritis (OA), and fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) were invited via email to participate in this study. Enrolled participants (pts) were prompted to select ≤10 PRO symptom measures they felt were important to track for their condition at baseline via the ArthritisPower app. At 3 subsequent time points (Month [m] 1, m2, m3), pts were given the option to continue tracking their previously selected PRO measures or to add, remove and/or select different measures. At m3, pts completed an exit survey to prioritize ≤5 measures from all measures selected during study participation and to specify other symptoms not available that they would have wanted to track. Measures were rank-ordered based on number of pts rating the item as their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th choice and weighted by multiplying the rank number by its inverse for a single, weighted summary score for each measure. Values were summed across all pts to produce a summary score for each measure. Results:Among pts who completed initial selection of PRO assessments at baseline (N=253), 184 pts confirmed or changed PRO selections across m1-3. Mean (SD) age of pts was 55.7 (9.2) yrs, 89.3% female, 91.3% White, mean disease duration of 11.6 (10.6) yrs. The majority (64.8%) self-reported OA, followed by RA (48.6%), FMS (40.3%), PsA (26.1%), OP (21.0%), AS (15.8%) and SLE (5.9%), not mutually exclusive, and were similar to the overall ArthritisPower population. The average number of instruments (SD) selected for baseline completion was 7.0 (2.5), 7.1 (2.4) at m1, 7.2 (2.4) at m2, and 7.0 (2.5) at m3. The top 5 PROs ranked by pts overall as most important (weighted summary score) for tracking were Fatigue (71), Physical Function (58), Pain Intensity (50), Pain Interference (49), Duration of Morning Joint Stiffness (41) (Figure 1). Fatigue, Physical Function, and Pain were consistently in the top 5 across diseases while Depression was more frequent among pts with OA, AS and FMS. Pts’ PRO selections showed stability over time except for the RA Flare measure which decreased from 70.5% of RA pts at baseline to 13.6% at m3.Conclusion:The symptoms prioritized by pts included fatigue, physical function, pain, and joint stiffness. Pts‘ choices were consistent over time. These findings provide insights into symptoms rheumatology patients find most important and will be useful to inform design of future patient-centric clinical trials and real-world evidence generation.References:[1]Boers M, et al. For the multiattribute group decision-making problem in an interval Pythagorean fuzzy environment, the existing experts and scholars have extended the weighted average (WA), ordered weighted average (OWA), generalized ordered weighted average (GOWA), weighted ordered weighted average (WOWA), and other operators to interval fuzzy environment, while the research on the application and promotion of interval Pythagorean fuzzy with generalized weighted ordered weighted average (GWOWA) operator has not been carried out, GWOWA operator not only retains the advantages of WOWA operator but also introduces artificial variables, which increases the ability of decision-makers to control the aggregation of fuzzy information. Therefore, the GWOWA operator model based on interval Pythagorean fuzzy sets is constructed. First, it is proved that interval Pythagorean fuzzy generalized weighted average operator (IVPFGWA) and interval Pythagorean fuzzy generalized ordered weighted average operator (IVPFGOWA) are special cases of IVPFGWOWA operator, and their idempotence, monotonicity, and boundedness are proved; second, a group decision-making method based on interval Pythagorean fuzzy GWOWA operator is presented. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness and scientificity of this method. It is found that the interval Pythagorean fuzzy decision-making method of the GWOWA operator alleviates the loss of information in the decision-making process to a great extent. At the same time, with the increase in the value of artificial variables, the gap between the best scheme and other schemes continues to increase, making the decision-making results more obvious, scientific, and accurate.

INTRODUCTION: A massive transfusion protocol (MTP) is defined as a transfusion which exceeds the patient's estimated blood volume within 24 hours. The use of cold-stored, low-titer Group O whole blood (LTOWB) is well established for massive transfusion in military and civilian trauma. However, we do not yet have data supporting the use of LTOWB for non-trauma patients requiring a massive transfusion. Herein lies the importance of this retrospective cohort study as it seeks to answer important questions about the use of LTOWB in non-trauma patients. The primary aim of the study is to establish if mortality 24h and 30d after LTOWB MTP is no worse than after standard, component MTP. Secondary aims include degree of hemolysis, length of stay and, because there is 5% increase in mortality for every minute that blood products are not provided to a trauma patient after an MTP has been activated, time to delivery. METHODS: A retrospective chart review identified non-trauma patients requiring a MTP from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, comparing those who received at least one unit of LTOWB ("LTOWB" cohort) to those who received a standard component MTP ("Component" cohort). Each delivery of a component MTP contains 6u of RBCs, 6u of plasma and 1u of platelets. Each LTOWB delivery contains 5u of leukoreduced (using a platelet-sparing filter) LTOWB. Our primary outcomes were 24h and 30d mortality, adjusted for age and Elixhauser comorbidity score. Secondary outcomes included length of stay, hemolysis, and delivery time. Medical records were abstracted for demographics, Total Bilirubin levels, discharge codes, 24h and 30d mortality, and length of stay. Hemolysis was the difference between highest Total Bilirubin in the 5 days following the MTP and the lowest total bilirubin level for the two days prior or on the day of the MTP. Delivery time was calculated as the number of minutes between the time the MTP was ordered in the electronic ordering system and the delivery of the first box of blood products as noted in hospital transportation logs. Discharge codes were used to calculate a weighted Elixhauser comorbidity score as previously described. Statistical analysis was performed utilizing logistic regressions, poisson regression, general linear models, and t-tests as appropriate (Table 2, Table 3). RESULTS: Between 7/1/2018 and 6/30/2019, 93 unique patients received 114 MTPs, of which 19 received at least one unit of LTOWB (Table 1). Seven patients had emergency-issue blood delivered outside of hospital transportation so were included in the analysis. The indication for the MTP was most commonly gastrointestinal bleeding, followed by intra-procedural bleeding and organ bleeding (spleen, pancreas, retroperitoneum, lung, brain and ovarian). Adjusting for age and Elixhauser comorbidity score, there was no statistically significant difference in 24 h mortality (13.4% higher odds in LTOWB cohort compared to component; 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.28, 4.64; p: 0.86) or 30 d mortality (14% higher odds in LTOWB cohort compared to component; 95% CI: 0.34, 3.77; p: 0.83), Table 2. There was no statistically significant difference between cohorts in length of stay (for every 1.0 day patients who received LTOWB were admitted, patients who received components were admitted for 0.97d; 95% CI: 0.86, 1.09; p: 0.58), time to delivery, or degree of hemolysis. CONCLUSIONS: For non-trauma patients receiving a massive transfusion, our data suggest that receiving at least one unit of LTOWB does not impact 24 h or 30 d mortality. Length of stay and change in bilirubin were nearly the same for both cohorts suggesting that LTOWB is as safe as component therapy. Although we hypothesized that LTOWB would be delivered faster, we have a small sample size and because component MTP is the default at our institution for non-trauma patients, LTOWB was usually delivered only in subsequent deliveries, not the first one. Therefore, we would not expect to see a difference. Although this is a small study from one institution, it is the first investigation of LTOWB in non-trauma patients. Overall, our data indicates that LTOWB may be a reasonable alternative to component therapy outside of trauma as it does not significantly alter patient outcomes but still eases manufacturing and transfusion logistics. Future research is needed to further establish the effects of LTOWB in this population. Disclosures No relevant conflicts of interest to declare.

We characterize the weighted Hardy inequalities for monotone functions in In dimension n = 1, this recovers the standard theory of Bp weights. For n > 1, the result was previously only known for the case p = 1. In fact, our main theorem is proved in the more general setting of partly ordered measure spaces.

The volatility is a dispersion technique widely used in statistics and economics. This paper presents a new way to calculate volatility by using different extensions of the ordered weighted average (OWA) operator. This approach is called the induced heavy ordered weighted moving average (IHOWMA) volatility. The main advantage of this operator is that the classical volatility formula only takes into account the standard deviation and the average, while with this formulation it is possible to aggregate information according to the decision maker knowledge, expectations and attitude about the future. Some particular cases are also presented when the aggregation information process is applied only on the standard deviation or on the average. An example in three different exchange rates for 2016 are presented, these are for: USD/MXN, EUR/MXN and EUR/USD

Millions of children worldwide need permanent families. But traditional paper based methods, disagreements between agencies, and excessive nationalistic restrictions keep many children apart from potential parents able and eager to nurture them. This paper focuses on the use of Weighted Ordered Weighted Averages and linear assignment programming for matching orphaned or abandoned children with adoptive families. Traditional paper based, one-child-at-a-time approaches are slow, and speed matters, because of the well documented harm done when children spend too much time waiting. Our focus is on simultaneous matching in which a pool of potential families is viewed as a resource to be used of the benefit for a pool of children in a global way rather than one at a time. A special case of the Weighted Ordered Weighted Average, designed to be transparent to social workers with little or no mathematical training or inclination, is used to aggregate criteria. The United States Department of Health and Human Services estimates that over 500,000 children are in foster care with 130,000 available for adoption [6]. In sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean, a joint report by the UN/AIDS/UNICEF/USAID estimates that in 2003 there were 143 million orphans [24]. Negative experiences with the foster care system also lead to more children available for adoption [8,10,15,16]. Furthermore, with the rapid increase in drug dependency, AIDS, child maltreatment, and homelessness, the number of children available for adoption increases concomitantly [1]. It is universally agreed that a more efficient and swifter system needs to be developed in order to place these children in permanent homes [2,14,17]. This paper focuses on the use of Weighted Ordered Weighted Averages [21] and linear assignment programming for matching orphaned or abandoned children with adoptive families. We begin by reviewing traditional paper based, one-child-at-a-time approaches using unaided human judgment or human judgment aided by semi-automated systems for preliminary screening and short-listing. The primary focus is on simultaneous matching in which a pool of potential families is viewed as a resource to be used for the benefit of a pool of children in a global way rather than one at a time. A special case of the Weighted Ordered Weighted Average, designed to be transparent to social workers with little or no mathematical training or inclination, is used to aggregate criteria.

The problem of segmenting linearly ordered data is frequently encountered in time-series analysis, computational biology, and natural language processing. Segmentations obtained independently from replicate data sets or from the same data with different methods or parameter settings pose the problem of computing an aggregate or consensus segmentation. This Segmentation Aggregation problem amounts to finding a segmentation that minimizes the sum of distances to the input segmentations. It is again a segmentation problem and can be solved by dynamic programming. The aim of this contribution is (1) to gain a better mathematical understanding of the Segmentation Aggregation problem and its solutions and (2) to demonstrate that consensus segmentations have useful applications. Extending previously known results we show that for a large class of distance functions only breakpoints present in at least one input segmentation appear in the consensus segmentation. Furthermore, we derive a bound on the size of consensus segments. As show-case applications, we investigate a yeast transcriptome and show that consensus segments provide a robust means of identifying transcriptomic units. This approach is particularly suited for dense transcriptomes with polycistronic transcripts, operons, or a lack of separation between transcripts. As a second application, we demonstrate that consensus segmentations can be used to robustly identify growth regimes from sets of replicate growth curves.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a well-known and reliable technology that enables a machine to simulate human behavior. While the major theme of AI is to make a smart computer system that thinks like a human to solve awkward problems, machine learning allows a machine to automatically learn from past information without the need for explicit programming. In this analysis, we aim to derive the idea of Aczel–Alsina aggregation operators based on an intuitionistic fuzzy soft set. The initial stage was the discovery of the primary and critical Aczel–Alsina operational laws for intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets. Subsequently, we pioneer a range of applicable theories (set out below) and identify their essential characteristics and key results: intuitionistic fuzzy soft Aczel–Alsina weighted averaging; intuitionistic fuzzy soft Aczel–Alsina ordered weighted averaging; intuitionistic fuzzy soft Aczel–Alsina weighted geometric operators; and intuitionistic fuzzy soft Aczel–Alsina ordered weighted geometric operators. Additionally, by utilizing certain key information, including intuitionistic fuzzy soft Aczel–Alsina weighted averaging and intuitionistic fuzzy soft Aczel–Alsina weighted geometric operators, we also introduce the theory of the weighted aggregates sum product assessment method for intuitionistic fuzzy soft information. This paper also introduces a multi-attribute decision-making method, which is based on derived operators for intuitionistic fuzzy soft numbers and seeks to assess specific industrial problems using artificial intelligence or machine learning. Finally, to underline the value and reasonableness of the information described herein, we compare our obtained results with some pre-existing information in the field. This comparison is supported by a range of numerical examples to demonstrate the practicality of the invented theory.

Zadeh’s Z̆-numbers are able to more effectively characterize uncertain information. Combined with “constraint” and “reliability”. It is more powerful at expressing human knowledge. While the reliability of data can have a direct impact on the precision of decisions. The key challenge in solving a Z̆-number issue is reasoning about both fuzzy and probabilistic uncertainty. Existing research on the Z̆-number measure is only some, and most studies cannot adequately convey the benefits of Z̆-information and the properties of Z̆-number. Considering this study void, this work concurrently investigated the randomness and fuzziness of Z̆-number with Spherical fuzzy sets. We first introduced the spherical fuzzy Z-numbers (SFZNs), whose elements are pairwise comparisons of the decision-maker’s options. It can be used effectively to make true ambiguous judgments, reflecting the fuzzy nature, flexibility, and applicability of decision making data. We developed the operational laws and aggregation operators such as the weighted averaging operator, the ordered weighted averaging operator, the hybrid averaging operator, the weighted geometric operator, the ordered weighted geometric operator, and the hybrid geometric operator for SFZ̆Ns. Furthermore, two algorithm are developed to tackle the uncertain information in the form of spherical fuzzy Z̆-numbers based to the proposed aggregation operators and TODIM methodology. Finally, we developed the relative comparison and discussion analysis to show the practicability and efficacy of the suggested operators and approach.

Customer overall satisfaction regarding a public transport system is dependent on the satisfaction of the users with the attributes that make up the service, as well as the contribution that each of these attributes makes to explain the overall satisfaction. A common way of analysing the contribution of service attributes to explain overall satisfaction is through the use of ordered logit or probit models. This article presents an ordered logit model that considers the weighting of independent variables through the explicit importance calculated on the basis of a best-worst case 1 choice task. For the calculation of importance, a multinomial logit model has been estimated which considers the heterogeneity of the sample through systematic variations in user tastes. In this way, it is possible to establish a level of importance of each specific attribute for each type of user. The results show that the importance varies considerably depending on different socio-economic and mobility-base variables. On the other hand, the inclusion of the weighted variables in the ordered logit model improves its fit. Therefore, the results make possible to develop policies focused on improving satisfaction on specific user targets.

Feature Reduction is a kind of dimensionality reduction of feature space. There are a number of approaches are used to identify the significant features but they are not using the weighing approach. The weighing approach is quite useful for obtaining the significant features and removing the insignificant and irrelevant features using OWA formulation. The aim of this approach is to obtain the significant features and removing insignificant features by using the pairwise approach. This approach is helpful to find the weights of pairwise features at the same time, which leads to remove the insignificant features from the feature space using OWA. The significance of the OWA formulation is that, the paired features are identified in priori and their sum of weights are equal to 1. OWA criterion is introduced to obtain the significant features that are useful for predicting the accuracy of the cluster in GMM.

Abstract In this paper, we introduce the concept of the Pythagorean hesitant fuzzy set (PHFS), which is the generalization of the intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set under the restriction that the square sum of its membership degrees is ≤1. In decision making with PHFSs, aggregation operators play a key role because they can be used to synthesize multidimensional evaluation values represented as Pythagorean hesitant fuzzy values into collective values. Under PHFS environments, Pythagorean hesitant fuzzy ordered weighted averaging and Pythagorean fuzzy ordered weighted geometric operators are used to aggregate the Pythagorean hesitant fuzzy values. The main advantage of these operators is that they provide more accurate and valuable results. Furthermore, these operators are applied to decision-making problems in which experts provide their preferences in the Pythagorean hesitant fuzzy environment to show the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the new approach. Finally, we compare the proposed approach to the existing methods.

In addition, we discuss the correlations between the proposed aggregation operators and the existing ones respectively. Finally, we apply the hesitant fuzzy Einstein weighted geometric operator to multiple attribute group decision making with hesitant fuzzy information. The purpose of this paper is to propose a new approach to interactive multi-attribute group decision making with triangular Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TAIFNs). The contribution of this study is fivefold: (1) Minkowski distance between TAIFNs is firstly defined; (2) We define the possibility attitudinal expected values of TAIFNs and thereby present a novel risk attitudinal ranking method of TAIFNs which can sufficiently consider the risk attitude of decision maker; (3) The weighted average operator (TAIFWA) and generalized ordered weighted average (TAIFGWA) operator of TAIFNs are defined as well as the hybrid ordered weighted average (TAIFHOWA) operator; (4) To study the interaction between attributes, we further develop the generalized Choquet (TAIF-GC) integral operator and generalized hybrid Choquet (TAIF-GHC) integral operator of TAIFNs. Their desirable properties are also discussed; (5) The individual overall value of alternative is obtained by TAIF-GC operator and the collective one is derived through TAIFWA operator. Fuzzy measures of attribute subsets and expert weights are objectively derived through constructing multi-objective optimization model which is transformed into the goal programming model to solve. The system analyst selection example verifies effectiveness of the proposed approach.

AbstractWe investigate which weighted convolution algebras ${ \ell }_{\omega }^{1} (S)$, where $S$ is a semilattice, are AMNM in the sense of Johnson [‘Approximately multiplicative functionals’, J. Lond. Math. Soc. (2) 34(3) (1986), 489–510]. We give an explicit example where this is not the case. We show that the unweighted examples are all AMNM, as are all ${ \ell }_{\omega }^{1} (S)$ where $S$ has either finite width or finite height. Some of these finite-width examples are isomorphic to function algebras studied by Feinstein [‘Strong Ditkin algebras without bounded relative units’, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 22(2) (1999), 437–443]. We also investigate when $({ \ell }_{\omega }^{1} (S), { \mathbb{M} }_{2} )$ is an AMNM pair in the sense of Johnson [‘Approximately multiplicative maps between Banach algebras’, J. Lond. Math. Soc. (2) 37(2) (1988), 294–316], where ${ \mathbb{M} }_{2} $ denotes the algebra of $2\times 2$ complex matrices. In particular, we obtain the following two contrasting results: (i) for many nontrivial weights on the totally ordered semilattice ${ \mathbb{N} }_{\min } $, the pair $({ \ell }_{\omega }^{1} ({ \mathbb{N} }_{\min } ), { \mathbb{M} }_{2} )$ is not AMNM; (ii) for any semilattice $S$, the pair $({\ell }^{1} (S), { \mathbb{M} }_{2} )$ is AMNM. The latter result requires a detailed analysis of approximately commuting, approximately idempotent $2\times 2$ matrices.

In a conventional interpretation of decision-making based on ambiguity, a decision-maker must prefer the best possible opportunity including various feasible possibilities. However, the dilemma of picking the best possible alternative has continued to be a substantial task to resolve. In this manuscript, we improve the existing complex intuitionistic fuzzy soft set (CIFSS), which includes the grade of truth and falsity with the rule that the sum of the real and imaginary parts of both grades is confined to [0, 1]. CIFS is a valuable procedure to determine the authenticity and consistency of the elaborated approaches. The fundamental laws and their related examples are also determined. Moreover, by using these laws, we investigated the complex intuitionistic fuzzy soft prioritized weighted averaging operator (CIFSPWAO), the complex intuitionistic fuzzy soft prioritized ordered weighted averaging operator (CIFSPOWAO), the complex intuitionistic fuzzy soft prioritized weighted geometric operator (CIFSPWGO), complex intuitionistic fuzzy soft prioritized ordered weighted geometric operator (CIFSPOWGO), and their related properties are also developed. Based on the developed operators, the multiattribute decision-making (MADM) tool is developed by using the explored operators based on CIFSS. Some numerical examples are also illustrated by using the investigated operators to determine the feasibility and consistency of the developed approaches. Finally, the comparative analysis and their geometrical manifestations are also determined to enhance the excellence of the performed explorations.

The notion of spherical fuzzy sets (SFSs) is one of the most effective ways to model the fuzzy information in decision-making processes. The sum of squares of membership, neutral, and nonmembership degrees in SFSs lies in the interval [0, 1] and accommodates more uncertainties. Henceforth, in this article, the idea of spherical cubic fuzzy sets (SCFSs) is introduced, which is the generalization of SFSs. Spherical cubic fuzzy set is the combination of spherical fuzzy sets and interval-valued spherical fuzzy sets. The membership, neutral, and nonmembership degrees in an SCFS are cubic fuzzy numbers (CFNs). Consequently, this set outperforms the pre-existing structures of fuzzy set theory. Moreover, some fundamental operations for the comparison of two spherical CFNs are defined such as score function and accuracy function. Further, several new operations through Dombi t-norm and Dombi t-conorms are characterized to get the best results during the decision criteria. Furthermore, spherical cubic fuzzy Dombi weighted averaging (SCFDWA), SCFD ordered weighted averaging (SCFDOWA), SCFD hybrid weighted averaging (SCFDHWA), SCFD weighted geometric (SCFDWG), SCFD ordered weighted geometric (SCFDOWG), and the SCFD hybrid weighted geometric (SCFDHWG) aggregated operators are discussed, and their characteristics are examined. In addition, some of the operational laws of these operators are defined. Also, a decision-making approach based on these operators is proposed. Since the proposed methods and operators are the generalizations of the existing methods and operators, therefore, these techniques produce more general, accurate, and precise results as compared with existing ones. Finally, a descriptive example is given in order to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the proposed methods.

When using the ordered weighted average operator, it can happen that one wants to optimize the variability (measured by the entropy (maximal) or by the variance (minimal)) of the weights while keeping the orness of this operator at a fixed level. This has been considered by several authors. Dually, there might be some contexts where one wishes to maximize the orness while guaranteeing some fixed variability. In this paper, we present two algorithms for finding such weights, when the variability is captured by the entropy and by the variance.

Fuzzy AHP was used as selection method of weighting values to incorporate the fuzzy set theory and the basic nature of subjectivity due to ambiguity to achieve a flexible decision approach suitable for uncertain and fuzzy environments. To obtain the score that corresponds to the best alternative or the ranking of the alternatives, we need to use a total order for the fuzzy numbers involved in the problem. In this paper, we consider a definition of such a total order: the degree of Orness (1, 3/4, 2/3, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 0) reflected with the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators. BackgroundKappa statistics are frequently used to analyse observer agreement for panels of experts and External Quality Assurance (EQA) schemes and generally treat all disagreements as total disagreement. However, the differences between ordered categories may not be of equal importance (eg, the difference between grades 1 vs 2 compared with 1 vs 3). Weighted kappa can be used to adjust for this when comparing a small number of readers, but this has not as yet been applied to the large number of readers typical of a national EQA scheme.AimTo develop and validate a method for applying weighted kappa to a large number of readers within the context of a real dataset: the UK National Urological Pathology EQA Scheme for prostatic biopsies.MethodsData on Gleason grade recorded by 19 expert readers were extracted from the fixed text responses of 20 cancer cases from four circulations of the EQA scheme. Composite kappa, currently used to compute an unweighted kappa for large numbers of readers, was compared with the mean kappa for all pairwise combinations of readers. Weighted kappa generalised for multiple readers was compared with the newly developed ‘pairwise-weighted’ kappa.ResultsFor unweighted analyses, the median increase from composite to pairwise kappa was 0.006 (range −0.005 to +0.052). The difference between the pairwise-weighted kappa and generalised weighted kappa for multiple readers never exceeded ±0.01.ConclusionPairwise-weighted kappa is a suitable and highly accurate approximation to weighted kappa for multiple readers.

The method that was often applied in recommender systems was content-based filtering or collaborative filtering which had several drawbacks if applied singly so that its accuracy was not too high. This study intended to solve the drawbacks of both by combining these two methods into a hybrid method. Apriori algorithm was used to provided recommendations based on dishes’s category and price range in customer order history or wishlist. The similarity between dishes was calculated using adjusted-cosine similarity algorithm while customer’s rating for dishes prediction was calculated using weighted sum algorithm. The values generated by these two methods were then averaged for recommendation process. The proposed hybrid recommender system successfully combines content-based with collaborative filtering methods where its precision and recall values when measured by confusion matrix are 80.73% and 76.52%. By considering the characteristics of dishes that have been ordered by customer, the recommender system is able to recommend new dishes or dishes that have not been ordered as long as their characteristics are similar to the dishes the customer has ordered.

The purpose of aggregation methods is to convert a list of objects of a set into a single object of the same set usually by an n -arry function, so-called aggregation operator. The key features of this work are the aggregation operators, because they are based on a novel set called Fermatean cubic fuzzy set (F-CFS). F-CFS has greater spatial scope and can deal with more ambiguous situations where other fuzzy set extensions fail to support them. For this purpose, the notion of F-CFS is defined. F-CFS is the transformation of intuitionistic cubic fuzzy set (I-CFS), Pythagorean cubic fuzzy set (P-CFS), interval-valued cubic fuzzy set, and basic orthopair fuzzy set and is grounded on the constraint that “the cube of the supremum of membership plus nonmembership degree is ≤ 1 ”. We have analyzed some properties of Fermatean cubic fuzzy numbers (F-CFNs) as they are the alteration of basic properties of I-CFS and P-CFS. We also have defined the score and deviation degrees of F-CFNs. Moreover, the distance measuring function between two F-CFNs is defined which shows the space between two F-CFNs. Based on this notion, the aggregation operators namely Fermatean cubic fuzzy-weighted averaging operator (F-CFWA), Fermatean cubic fuzzy-weighted geometric operator (F-CFWG), Fermatean cubic fuzzy-ordered-weighted averaging operator (F-CFOWA), and Fermatean cubic fuzzy-ordered-weighted geometric operator (F-CFOWG) are developed. Furthermore, the notion is applied to multiattribute decision-making (MADM) problem in which we presented our objectives in the form of F-CFNs to show the effectiveness of the newly developed strategy.

Here, we study the two-periodic weighted dimer model on the Aztec diamond graph. In the thermodynamic limit when the size of the graph goes to infinity while weights are fixed, the model develops a limit shape with frozen regions near corners, a flat “diamond” in the center with a noncritical (ordered) phase, and a disordered phase separating this diamond and the frozen phase. We show that in the mesoscopic scaling limit, when weights scale in the thermodynamic limit such that the size of the “flat diamond” is of the same order as the correlation length inside the diamond, fluctuations of the height function are described by a new process. We compute asymptotics of the inverse Kasteleyn matrix for vertices in a local neighborhood in this mesoscopic limit.

Fermatean fuzzy linguistic (FFL) set theory provides an efficient tool for modeling a higher level of uncertain and imprecise information, which cannot be represented using intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic (IFL)/Pythagorean fuzzy linguistic (PFL) sets. On the other hand, the linguistic scale function (LSF) is the better way to consider the semantics of the linguistic terms during the evaluation process. It is worth noting that the existing operational laws and aggregation operators (AOs) for Fermatean fuzzy linguistic numbers (FFLNs) are not valid in many situations, which can generate errors in real-life applications. The present study aims to define new robust operational laws and AOs under Fermatean fuzzy linguistic environment. To do so, first, we define some new modified operational laws for FFLNs based on LSF and prove some important mathematical properties of them. Next, the work defines several new AOs, namely, the FFL-weighted averaging (FFLWA) operator, the FFL-weighted geometric (FFLWG) operator, the FFL-ordered weighted averaging (FFLOWA) operator, the FFL-ordered weighted geometric (FFLOWG) operator, the FFL-hybrid averaging (FFLHA) operator and the FFL-hybrid geometric (FFLHG) operator under Fermatean fuzzy linguistic environment. Several properties of these AOs are investigated in detail. Further, based on the proposed AOs, a new decision-making approach with Fermatean fuzzy linguistic information is developed to solve group decision-making problems with multiple attributes. Finally, to illustrate the effectiveness of the present approach, a real-life supplier selection problem is presented where the evaluation information of the alternatives is given in terms of FFLNs. Compared to the existing methods, the salient features of the developed approach are (1) it can solve decision-making problems with qualitative information data using FFLNs; (2) It can consider the attitudinal character of the decision-makers during the solution process; (3) It has a solid ability to distinguish the optimal alternative.

In this paper, we investigate how a kind of non-Gaussian states (l-photon excited thermo vacuum state [Formula: see text]) evolves in a single-mode damping channel. We find that it evolves into a Laguerre-polynomial-weighted real–fictitious squeezed thermo vacuum state, which exhibits strong decoherence and its original nonclassicality fades. In particular, when l = 0, in this damping process the thermo squeezing effect decreases while the fictitious-mode vacuum becomes chaotic. In overcoming the difficulty of calculation, we employ the summation method within ordered product of operators, a new generating function formula about two-variable Hermite polynomials is derived.

For ordinal square tables, the present paper proposes (1) another local symmetry model for cumulative probabilities from the upper-right and lower-left corners of the table, and (2) a measure to represent the degree of departure from the proposed model. The measure has the form of a weighted harmonic mean of the diversity index, which includes the Shannon entropy as a special case. Abstract We deal with an extension of ordered weighted averaging (OWA, for short) operators to the set of all normal convex fuzzy sets in [0, 1]. The main obstacle to achieve this goal is the non-existence of a linear order for fuzzy sets. Three ways of dealing with the lack of a linear order on some set and defining OWA operators on the set appeared in the recent literature. We adapt the three approaches for the set of all normal convex fuzzy sets in [0, 1] and study their properties. It is shown that each of the three approaches leads to operator with desired algebraic properties, and two of them are also linear.

We construct 2N operators for a N-particle system, namely one center-of-mass coordinate operator, N-1 relative coordinate operators, one total momentum operator and N-1 mass-weighted relative momentum operators, and give common eigenvectors of N compatible observables [Formula: see text], which are composed of N particles' coordinate [Formula: see text] and momentum [Formula: see text]. By compatible, we mean such observables can be simultaneously determined. Using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators (IWOP), we prove that the common eigenvectors are complete and orthonormal, and hereby qualified for making up a representation. This new representation can be applied to solving some dynamic problems in quantum mechanics.

Materials selection. The choice of materials is a sorted one is the process by which engineers remove one or a small number of items that can be found most suitable. Successful engineering design material selection is critical to the process. As much as possible your preparation must be strong and durable that’s what you want. Security to consider there are also implications. You see, with poor material, there are many more dangerous failures arising from examination a very common occurrence in industries. The weighted product method is a multi-criteria decision-making process there are many alternatives, and based on several criteria we must determine the best alternative. Alternative: Specific strength (Mpa), Specific modulus (Gpa), Corrosion resistance, Cost category. Evaluation Preference: AISI 1020, AISI 1040, ASTM A242, AISI 4130, AISI 316. From the result, it is seen that AISI 4130 is got the first rank whereas is ASTM A242 is having the lowest rank. As a result, AISI 4130 is ranked first, while ASTM A242 is ranked lowest.

AbstractWe characterize the pairs of weights (v, w) for which the operator with s and h increasing and continuous functions is of strong type (p, q) or weak type (p, q) with respect to the pair (v, w) in the case 0 < q < p and 1 < p < ∞. The result for the weak type is new while the characterizations for the strong type improve the ones given by H. P. Heinig and G. Sinnamon. In particular, we do not assume differentiability properties on s and h and we obtain that the strong type inequality (p, q), q < p, is characterized by the fact that the functionbelongs to Lr(gqw), where 1/r = 1/q – 1/p and the supremum is taken over all c and d such that c ≤ x ≤ d and s(d) ≤ h(c).

We make a comparative study of the optical and structural characteristics of two InxGa1-xP(x≈0.5 ) films nearly lattice matched to GaAs, (here referred to as disordered type 1 sample (S1) and ordered type 2 sample (S2)). The films were grown by liquid phase epitaxy (LPE). Photoluminescence (PL) measurements were performed in a wide temperature and exciting power density range for different polarization of the emitted radiation along the [110] and [1-10] directions. Observations suggest that the InxGa1-xP layer in sample 1 is disordered, as commonly obtained in LPE growth, while in sample 2 at least a partially spontaneously ordered layer was obtained. Moreover, the energy position of the 20 K PL peak is close to the predicted band gap energy for the InGaP 2 material ordered in the CuPt phase. [1].

Abstract Titanium dioxide is often designed as an excellent catalyst carrier and photocatalyst due to its tunable structure. In this paper, iron-doped ordered mesoporous titanium dioxide was prepared. These powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and nitrogen physisorption (BET). It was found that mesoporous titanium dioxide powders containing 1% Fe doping were roasted at 350 °C to favor the formation of ordered mesoporous titanium dioxide. This is due to the fact that Fe doping can enhance the pore structure and improve the orderliness of pores, while the increase in temperature can accelerate the growth of grains.

The surfactant structures are approximately given by the zero-potential surfaces of A + and B - atoms in circle or sphere packings. The Dirichlet domains of A atoms are connected by T1 channels to neighboring A domains in rod like structures with T1 = 2, or layered structures at increased T1 values. Micelles are usually isolated with T1 = 0 or 1 channels. Layered or rod like structures are formed at A–A attraction while isolated micelles are formed at repulsive A–A interactions. The rod like structures are similar to polymer chains of A = carbon atoms with T1 = 2 neighbors. The ordered micelle structures are observed for charged colloid particles A +.

A-site ordered PrBaMn2O6 manganites were obtained by a two-step synthesis process. The chemical composition, crystal structure, magnetic and magnetotransport properties have been investigated with regard to the degree of ordering of the Pr3+ and Ba2+ cations. A-site disordered Pr0.50Ba0.50MnO3 has a cubic perovskite-like unit cell (SG = Pm3m , Z = 1), while the A-site ordered PrBaMn2O6 has a tetragonal unit cell (SG = P4/mmm, Z = 2). The A-site ordered state in PrBaMn2O6 remains stable on heating to 1300 0C in an oxidizing medium (P[O2] = 1 bar). The cation ordering leads to a significant increase in the critical temperatures of phase transitions. Asite ordered PrBaMn2O6 is a metallic ferromagnet with the TC ~ 320 K, whereas TC of a fully disordered sample is ∼ 140 K. The samples with intermediate degrees of ordering contain two magnetic phases. Slightly below TC, all samples exhibit a metal–insulator transition and a peak of the magnetoresistance, amounting to approximately 10 % and 65 % in a magnetic field of 9 kOe for the fully ordered PrBaMn2O6 and disordered Pr0.50Ba0.50MnO3, respectively. The results are interpreted in terms of the degree of ordering of the Pr3+ and Ba2+ cations.

Abstract In order to solve the problems of objectivity and inaccuracy in the current evaluation of marine engine simulator, an evaluation model is established based on C-OWA (combination ordered weighted averaging)-the Coefficient of Variation method-minimum discriminant information principle combination weighting method and Vague set. Taking standby of marine generator project as an experiment example, the evaluation index system is established, and the evaluation model is applied to evaluate each evaluation team, and the final operation score of each team is obtained. The results show that (1) the index system is comprehensive and targeted for the operation evaluation of generator standby project; (2) the combination weighting method can improve the rationality of index weighting; (3) Vague set fuzzy decision-making can improve the accuracy of fuzzy evaluation of simulator operation; (4) the model shows rationality and reliability in evaluation results and can provide a reasonable and feasible method for intelligent evaluation of marine simulator.

Lead-based cubic perovskites such as Pb(B2+1/3B5+2/3)O3 (B2+ = Mg, Co, Ni, Zn; B5+ = Nb, Ta) are relaxor ferroelectrics. Localized order and disorder often occur in materials of this type. In the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN) family, previous studies have proposed two models, space-charge and charge-balance models. In the first model, the ordered regions carry a net negative charge [Pb(Mg1/2Nb,/2)03], while in the second model it does not carry a net charge [Pb((Mg2/3Nb1/3)1/2Nb1/2)03]. However, no direct evidence for these two models has appeared in the literature yet. In this paper we report the first direct observations of local ordering in undoped and La-doped Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)03, using high-resolution Z-contrast imaging.Because the ordered structure in Ba(Mg1/3Nb2/3)03 is well known, the Z-contrast image from an ordered domain is used as a reference for this study. Fig. 1(a) shows the projection of the supercell of fully ordered Ba(Mg1/3Nb2/3)03 along the [110] direction.

Site selection of waste-to-energy (WtE) plant is critically important in the whole life cycle. Some research has been launched in the WtE plant site selection, but there is still a serious problem called Not In My Back Yard (NIMBY) effect that needs to be solved. To solve the problem, an improved multigroup VIKOR method is proposed to choose the optimal site and compromised sites. In the proposed method, the public satisfaction is fully considered where the public is invited as an evaluation group far more than creating general indicators to represent the public acceptance. First of all, an elaborate criteria system is built to evaluate site options comprehensively and the weights of criteria are identified by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Then, the interval 2-tuple linguistic information is adopted to assess the ratings for the established criteria. The interval 2-tuple linguistic ordered weighted averaging (ITL-OWA) operator is utilized to aggregate the opinions of evaluation committee while the opinions of the public are aggregated using weighted average operator. Finally, a case from south China which shows the computational procedure and the effectiveness of the proposed method is proved. Last but not least, a sensitivity analysis is conducted by comparing the results with different weights of evaluation group assessments.

Single crystals of (n-C4H9)4NAu(CN)2 were obtained by crystallization using the temperature decreasing method in a newly developed computer-controlled apparatus. The colourless crystals are monoclinic, space group A2/n, with a = 20.216(2) Å, b = 13.130(1) Å, c = 9.328(1) Å, and β = 109.69(1)°. The measured density is 1.45 g/cm3, which agrees with the calculated density of 1.40 g/cm3 for Ζ = 4. The structure was solved by Direct Methods using 674 independent reflections and refined by least-squares procedures to conventional and weighted R factors of 0.068 and 0.058, respectively. The nearly linear [Au(CN)2]--anions form pseudohexagonal layers, in which they are arranged parallel to each other. The shortest Au—Au distance is 8.05 A. The stacking of the layers produces pseudo-trigonal channels, occupied by the cations. The tetra-n-butylammonium cation has four ordered trans chains with idealized D2d symmetry (4̄2 m).
