This article discusses the regional expansion problem of square check fabric. And an evaluating indicator is established for evaluating the regional expansion in fabric. All the square check fabrics tested in this paper consist of two different tightness weaves: one is loose weave and the other is tight weave. Firstly, prepare samples. The samples are weaved by using different kinds of ratio of loose weave to tight weave -i, weft density- Pw and grid width-b. Secondly, test the samples’ degree of expansion-X, and then calculate the expansion coefficient. Lastly, establish i-Y, Pw-Y and b-Y curve. The results show that, the expansion coefficient of the square fabric is increased with the increase of i; and increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of Pw ; but the change of the expansion coefficient of the square fabric is not obvious with the increase of b.

In order to test the elastic recovery, 25 samples of seamless-knitted women's gymnastics clothing were weaved. They were designed by two factors: fabric weaves and ratios of coolmax / nylon. Empirical results show that the ratios of coolmax / nylon have little effect on elastic recovery at certain elongation and the main influence factor is fabric weaves. 2+1 mock rib fabric performs best on elastic recovery, while mesh fabric performs worst.

Aimed to investigate the fabric handle which weaved with bundle yarn filling insertion technology, the properties of interlace resistance, flatness, friction, bending and compressing are tested. And 2 fabrics with the same size which weaved by different weaving methods on air-jet loom are analyzed contrastively. The result shows that the double wefts satin fabric which weaved with bundle yarn filling insertion technology had the adjacent interweave resistance, touched more flat and stiff compared to which weaved by traditional weaving technique. It was smoother and had better bending properties at warp orientation. But along weft orientation, it was rougher and had less bending properties.

A new species, Paraphaenodiscus udayveeri Singh sp. nov., has been described and illustrated with automontaged photographs of both male and female. Species parasitized scale insects on the leaves of Pterygota alata which were weaved into nest of red weaver ant, Oecophylla smaragdina (Hymenoptera: Formicidae). Species is compared with P. chrysocomae Prinsloo and P. pedanus Prinsloo & Mynhardt. Key to world species of Paraphaenodiscus except European species is also given. Types are deposited with National Forest Insect Collection, Entomology Division, Forest Research Institute, Dehra Dun, India (NFIC-FRI).

Warp yarn of cotton samples were printed with pigment dyes has been investigated. The printed warp yarn was weaved by using white cotton yarn as a weft yarn. The physical properties were evaluated to testing in tensile strength and tearing strength of weaved samples, the test were determined according to ISO standard. The results showed that the tensile strength of three samples are shown to be in the range between 210 and 342 Newtons whereas tearing strength was in the range between 30 and 110 Newtons. The results indicated that the properties of printed samples (handling) were good to very good level.

This study aims to analyze; 1) simultaneously, and analyze the partial effect of the use of production factors labor, work experience and capital for various products of the bamboo weaved craft industry, 2) to investigate the economies of scale and 3) analyze the efficiency of production factors in the bamboo weaved handicraft industry in Kecamatan Susut, Kabupaten Bangli. The type of data in this study is quantitative and qualitative data with primary and secondary data sources. Respondents in this study amounted to 93 peoples, a sample of 1277 craftsmen and calculated using the Slovin's formula. The determination of the sample size in each village was determined by the disproportional stratified random sampling method. Data analysis techniques used in this research is the analysis techniques of Cobb-Douglass, economies of scale, and economic efficiency. The results showed that the variable labor (X1), work experience (X2), and capital (X3) simultaneously and partially had a positive and significant impact on the amount of production (Y) to the bamboo weaved craft industry in Susut District, Bangli Regency. Economies of scale test in a state of increasing return to scale, but partially still in a decreasing return to scale condition. The efficiency of the use of production factors has not been efficient.

The exceptional Lie group E 8 plays a prominent role in both mathematics and theoretical physics. It is the largest symmetry group associated with the most general possible normed division algebra, namely, that of the non-associative real octonions, which—thanks to their non-associativity—form the only possible closed set of spinors (or rotors) that can parallelize the 7-sphere. By contrast, here we show how a similar 7-sphere also arises naturally from the algebraic interplay of the graded Euclidean primitives, such as points, lines, planes and volumes, which characterize the three-dimensional conformal geometry of the ambient physical space, set within its eight-dimensional Clifford-algebraic representation. Remarkably, the resulting algebra remains associative, and allows us to understand the origins and strengths of all quantum correlations locally, in terms of the geometry of the compactified physical space, namely, that of a quaternionic 3-sphere, S 3 , with S 7 being its algebraic representation space. Every quantum correlation can thus be understood as a correlation among a set of points of this S 7 , computed using manifestly local spinors within S 3 , thereby extending the stringent bounds of ±2 set by Bell inequalities to the bounds of ± 2 2 on the strengths of all possible strong correlations, in the same quantitatively precise manner as that predicted within quantum mechanics. The resulting geometrical framework thus overcomes Bell’s theorem by producing a strictly deterministic and realistic framework that allows a locally causal understanding of all quantum correlations, without requiring either remote contextuality or backward causation. We demonstrate this by first proving a general theorem concerning the geometrical origins of the correlations predicted by arbitrarily entangled quantum states, and then reproducing the correlations predicted by the EPR-Bohm and the GHZ states. The raison d’être of strong correlations turns out to be the Möbius-like twists in the Hopf bundles of S 3 and S 7 .

The paper examines the effect of different factors, i.e. weft density, weave type and consequently agglomeration of the interlacing points of the same type, on the colour impression of a woven fabric. The experimental part is based on 60 weaved samples which differ in weave type (we used 10 different weave types in which the technical face and technical back are the same), colour of the warp (we used white and black warp) and weft density (we used yarns with densities 15, 20 and 25 yarns / cm). We measured the colour values of the woven samples. We arranged the measurements in different ways and tried to visually evaluate the effect of density, effect of weave type, also the effect of the size and shape of agglomerated interlacing points of the same type, on the colour impression of the woven fabric. The results of the colour measurements were sorted into tables and presented in graphs, which were used to find the samples within the observed groups of characteristics that showed the biggest colour differences, to calculate these colour differences and observe and explain the effect of the observed factors on the colour impression.

Selected four organizations in those are most frequently-used in sportswear, then weaved a common sports-vest by the seamless knitting machines. Used the methods of wind tunnel test and data analysis, reached a conclusion about the influence of the organizations to wind-resistant property of sportswear: in the winding speed scope of the experiments, when the winding speed are between 3.3 m/s and 11.55 m/s, the wind-resistant property of the four organizations are almost the same; when the winding speed are between 11.55 m/s and 18.70 m/s, the wind-resistant property are different, the order from bad to good is 1×2 false rib organization, one road off staggered 1×1 false rib organization, mesh organization, plain weave, and reached the fitting curve equation. The study provides theoretical and practical reference for the research and development of sportswear.

Flexible fabric keyboard is a field of smart textile. It can overcome traditional horniness keyboard can’t be foldable and washing. In this laboratory study there is Three Layers Weaved Once structure designed which consists of three kinds of orifice dimension, for example 4 wefts, 8 wefts and 12 wefts. At the same time three kinds of conductive filaments number combined are planed for each orifice dimension. There are 1, 4 and 8 roots of filaments combined together so that contact areas of the conductive material are changed. Then the immediate regain, connection pressure and connection ratio are tested and analyzed for every kind of fabric keyboard switch. It is concluded that 4 wefts orifice dimension and 4 roots of filaments combined is a better project. These findings may assist in recommendations regarding the further development of flexible fabric keyboard. The fabric keyboard switch forms the foundation for many smart textile applications.

Ulos is a well known cultural heritage, but as technology advances, the production of traditionally weaved Ulos began to be left behind, when in fact, the traditionally weaved Ulos held a very high artistic value and in need of preservation. Tarutung is an area with the potential to be developed as a tourist city with a variety of nature and culture, such as the Ulos craft, which is a valuable asset. Every year the Festival Tenun Nusantara is held in Tarutung that can support the design of the Ulos weaving center. That is why an Ulos center is needed. The methodology of this Ulos weaving center starts by conducting site selection, identifying problems and potential that exist on the site, then collecting data that support the design by searching ideas, literature studies related to titles and themes, observation studies, and comparative studies. The Ulos weaving center uses the neo vernacular architecture theme by incorporating local wisdom and natural surroundings of the site, a rice field that becomes an innovative attraction. Therefore, Ulos weaving center allows people to get to know Ulos deeply in a whole new experience and a place suitable to enrich and conserve cultural tradition in Tarutung.

Javanese lurik is weaved fabric with striped motives, and it has very simple appearance. In the past, lurik only used two colors, namely: black and white. But, as it develops, some of lurik fabrics use more than two colors, and one of the colors usually still consists of black or white color. After lurik becomes one of the prosper trading commodities, the artisans attempt to make lurik more appealing and varying in term of appearance so that it will be favored by consumers. The objective of this research is to investigate how the artisans can develop lurik patterns to stay appealing. This paper used the qualitative research with the case study strategy and phenomenological approaches. The study aims at understanding the methods employed by artisans in Cawas Klaten in developing lurik patterns. The result of the study show that (1) lurik pattern has been developed by using various alternatives of line composition and color coherence; (2) the idea of development comes from traditional lurik patterns which already existed long time ago; and (3) line and color composition used a minimum of three colors so that it looks like a rainbow, and this kind of lurik pattern becomes the characteristic of modern weaved fabric from Cawas.

Then in order to get the fabric pore size distribution parameters under the best mechanical strength, the different fancy openwork should be applied in tensile and tear strength tests, which can contribute to analyze the relationship between mesh fabric structure and its mechanical property.

ABSTRACTAn exotensioned composite structure is developed as a light-weight and low-cost load carrying members for structural applications. The beam body, consisting of carbon-fiber composite skeletons with insertions of high-tension fiber strands, is externally weaved to provide extra structural integrity. Monotonic and cyclic flexural loading experiments are performed in this study to quantify the basic mechanical response of the structure. The bending strength, ductility, and fatigue resistance are specifically assessed.

The present study deals with the one-step one-bath dyeing of with/without alkaline treatment of twill weaved 50/50 cotton/polyester blended fabric using disperse dyes only. The dyeing results are studied by colorimetric colour measurements, applying instrumental approach, and colour change during fastness tests. Several testing methods are designed and adapted to the disposable technical and material base. The results are found to be promising as an alternative dyeing technology and for effective product quality assessment.

Amla (Phyllanthus emblicaL.), apart from its food value, can be used as a gastroprotective agent in non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)-induced gastropathy. It has been suggested that the antioxidative property of amla is the key to its therapeutic effect. Hence, on the basis ofin vitroantioxidative potential, the ethanolic extract of amla (eAE) was selected forin vivostudy in NSAID-induced ulcer. Intriguingly, eAE showed biphasic activity in ulcerated mice, with healing effect observed at 60 mg/kg and an adverse effect at 120 mg/kg.The dose-dependent study revealed that switching from anti-oxidant to pro-oxidant shift and immunomodulatory property could be the major cause for its biphasic effect, as evident from the total antioxidant status, thiol concentration, lipid peroxidation, protein carbonyl content followed by mucin content, synthesis and cytokine status. Further, Buthionine sulfoxamine (BSO) pretreatment established the potential impact of antioxidative property in the healing action of eAE. However, eAE efficiently reduced pro-inflammatory cytokine (TNF- and IL-1) levels and appreciably upregulate anti-inflammatory cytokine (IL-10) concentration. In conclusion, gastric ulcer healing induced by eAE was driven in a dose-specific manner through the harmonization of the antioxidative property and modulation of anti-inflammatory cytokine level.

In this study the embedding of piezoelectric ceramics in carbon-fibre/epoxy laminates is studied with the purpose to be used for structural health monitoring from vibration measurements. Piezoelectric elements were embedded in two laminate types made of two weaved prepregs and with four additional unidirectional prepregs, respectively. The efficiency of the embedding process was analysed from the capability of the piezoelectric ceramic to transmit vibrations to the composite plate. The sensing element was successfully used to monitor the composite plate when submitted to three-point bending dynamic tests at different frequencies.

A new type of intermingled basalt hybrid fiber reinforced polymer (BHFRP) sheets were weaved with basalt/carbon(B/C) fiber, or basalt/aramid(B/A) fiber. The ultimate tensile strength, elastic modulus and ductility were studied by experiment, and the mixture ratio on the performance was analyzed based on experimental results. The results showed that: compared B/A HFRP to B/C HFRP, B1A1 had better ductility, but low tensile strength; B2C1 had higher tensile strength and better ductility. Finally, scanning electron microscope was using to study the microscopic structure of fracture surface.

A new bamboo weaving machine, in which automatic control system is employed, is introduced in this paper. The system deals with the images firstly, and then controls bamboo weaving by means of electromotor and transmission devices. Different algorithms, such as lift wavelet, bivariate rational interpolation and Ostu are used in image processing. The minimum width of the bamboo filament is 0.7mm. The maximum number of the bamboo filament in the warp and weft direction is 360 and 430 respectively. Various beautiful bamboo artware can be weaved automatically by this machine in a short time.

Through Educational Criticism, I composed narratives and poems around a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training for police officers through its intended, enacted, and received curriculum. Within analyzing CIT’s instructional arc, I juxtaposed voices: ideas left solitary were incomplete, simplistic, or, at times, naïve. Thus, I weaved voices and scholarship together or against each other for depth of meaning, nuance, and contestation. Juxtapoetics exposed the complexity of well-intended individuals and localized interventions situated within institutions reifying the White supremacist milieu and disrupted linear rationality and universality of Whiteness.

This article highlights the challenge of engaging critically with dominant discourses of "readiness" in early childhood education. Drawing on the current context of early childhood education in England, this paper argues that dominant discourses of "readiness" are reliant on an underlying logic of mechanistic causality that acts to reduce complexity and marginalize difference and diversity. Calling for a radical reconceptualization of "readiness," experiences from practice are weaved throughout this critical discussion, highlighting the impact of dominant discourses of "readiness" in situated practice and the challenges that can be faced by engaging critically with this discourse.

Under veiled criticism, presented in four comic texts bound together by the theme of love, Machiavelli delivers his criticism of Diotima’s eros. He joins a long line of astute manipulators, like Numa and Savonarola, who presented difficult ideas to people unlikely to accept them except under cover of divine authority. My essay rests on the expanding body of scholarship on Machiavelli’s neglected literary works.

The study selects cylinder cloth which weaved by seamless fabric common materials as experimental samples, measures compressed thickness, bending length, extensibility, bending rigidity and etc index of fabrics, uses the stereotyped pleat recovery angle to characterize the setting effect. According to the experimental data, using statistical methods to analyze the correlation of these indicators and setting effects, ultimate goal is to improve fabric dimensional stability whatever wearing or stored, to provide a reference for optimizing the seamless fabric stereotypia. Results show that there is a close correlation between compression properties T2, T100, drape performance F0, shear stiffness G and stereotyped pleat recovery Angle.
