Повний текст джерелаThe thesis investigates, through a qualitative search, the relationship among religious affiliation and professional choices of the members and the executives of five associations of Catholic inspiration and a labor union. The theoretical research had been developed on two seams: one based on themes proper of the Sociology of the job, the theses around the end of the epoch of the job and the role of the job in the construction of the identity; the second of Sociology of the religion and therefore the persistence of the religion in the public sphere between paradigm of the secularization and new theories, but also some historical close examinations on the movement Catholic and on the theme of "work" in the catholic social doctrine. The empirical investigation underlined the difficulty of speaking about the meaning of the job and the value personally attributed to the job, but also the role of mediation of meanings developed by the association: interviews reveal that is in the mediation of the associative mission the key of the relationship faith-job.

Повний текст джерелаWork Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) are very well known in Europe and they are recognized as important actors to promote the active inclusion of disadvantaged people, disabled, homeless, migrants, unemployed, people with disadvantages and minorities, to avoid their discrimination both in work labour and in the society. Work Integration issue is nowadays a relevant theme that considers social matters together with human rights’ respect, equality, freedom and self-determination. There is the lack of a complete evaluation scheme that could give a whole perspective of WISEs' results. For them there are features and management ties that require methods wider than the economic ones disclosed in the financial report, in order to measure the created value for the Public Administration and community. The PhD work focuses on the creation of a possible evaluation model to apply to WISE. A WISEs’ sample has been selected to understand which elements were difficult to measure and, after the definition of the model it has been directly tested. Local WISEs and institutions have been actively involved in the executions. The main result is the participative creation process of an instrument that evaluates WISEs’ value for the community, through the analysis of their external effect on public budget.

Повний текст джерелаThe aging of the population, the mass entry of women into the labor market, verified in recent years, the increase in life expectancy and the lengthening of the retirement age with the Fornero-Monti Reform, contributed to the change of the morphology of the family, of working contexts and of society as a whole, making clear the need to better understand the dynamics that these changes entail. Although the aging of female workers represents an important change, this phenomenon has not been analyzed yet. The present study aims to understand and shed light on the characteristics of of workers over 50, especially to know the peculiarities of their family / extra-work and work relationships through the sociological concept of Social Capital considered of extreme importance to understand the potential of female workers. The research involved 4962 workers between 50 and 69 years of 18 companies associated with Valore D, throughout Italy, who completed a questionnaire. The study shows that female workers still have a good level of potential and that the CSF and CSL can play an important important role as a resource for women in this phase of their life, but also for companies and society itself.

It is not a personal problem to be solved individually; rather it is a social issue and therefore needs a coherent mix of policy, legislation, organizational measures. Anyway the institutional level is not enough. Actually, as this work shows, men and women are the main characters of a slow and tough process of social and organizational change that requires the agreement of all the parties concerned. Thus it is important to make clear the different, and sometimes contrary, meanings of work-life integration among subjects acting in the labour market and to show how family, gender and labour relationships affect the definition and usage of work-life balance benefits.
