AbstractValency theory has been applied to investigate various languages, such as German, Chinese and English. However, most studies in this field were based on the linguistic materials produced by native speakers. The current research aimed to examine the valency structures in the interlanguage. Based on the English writing produced by L2 Chinese learners, we adopted the quantitative approach, trying to find out whether the distributional features of verb valency in the interlanguage also had regular probability distributions as those in the native languages, and whether there was a relationship between these valency distributional characteristics and L2 learners’ language competence. It was found that (1) verb valency in the interlanguage followed distributional regularities which had been identified in the native languages; (2) the valency features showed differences in the diversity of valency patterns, the use of valences and the complexity of forms of complements between the interlanguage and the target language; (3) the distribution functions and parameters related to verb valency could manifest the development of students’ language competence. The current research has extended valency theory to the study of interlanguage and the valency perspective has profound methodological and pedagogical implications for L2 learning. Its item-specific property and the integration of grammatical and lexical factors are conducive to analyzing the way various words combine with each other.

An increasing number of initiatives related to Agenda 2030 are being launched. Educators, trainers and teachers are dedicated themselves to interpret the approach to sustainability in light of the climate crisis and within the planetary boundaries. Looking toward the future, the pedagogical professions in their core can help the younger generation to recompose the prospective of “global human”, avoiding the risk of flattening sustainability on purely functional devices that forget the value and relational texture of human dignity. Coordinating experiences is crucial to support a transition both green and human. This means preparing fraternal training environments in which young people experience the culture of relation and proximity, with the intent of realising the sustainable development goals. This contribution presents a laboratory of dialogue on the paradigmatic union between sustainable development and fraternity, experience by young university students. Professioni pedagogiche. A sostegno di una transizione verde e umana Si moltiplicano le iniziative nel solco dell’Agenda 2030. Educatori, formatori, pedagogisti e insegnanti sono impegnati a interpretare l’accostamento alla sostenibilità, tra l’allarme della crisi climatica e dentro i confini planetari. Volgendosi verso orizzonti di senso, le professioni del pedagogico possono aiutare le giovani generazioni a ricomporre un intero umano, evitando il rischio di appiattire la sostenibilità su dispositivi puramente funzionali che dimenticano la valenza e la trama relazionale della dignità umana. Coordinare esperienze in questa chiave di sostegno a una transizione che sia al contempo verde e umana, può significare predisporre ambienti formativi fraterni in cui i giovani sperimentino la cultura dell’incontro e della prossimità, anche per avverare i sustainable development goals. Il contributo presenta un’esperienza di laboratorio vissuta in mezzo a giovani studenti universitari, di dialogo sul connubio paradigmatico tra sviluppo sostenibile e fraternità.

The article describes the pedagogical model of the formation of the artistic and aesthetic needs of younger schoolchildren in music lessons, in the development of which specific methodological approaches were taken into account: system-activity, cultural, axiological. The stages of the formation of these needs are proposed - latent, valence, implicit and explicit. The pedagogical conditions of this process are considered.

This article reviews the quantum entanglement in Valence-Bond-Solid (VBS) states defined on a lattice or a graph. The subject is presented in a self-contained and pedagogical way. The VBS state was first introduced in the celebrated paper by I. Affleck, T. Kennedy, E. H. Lieb and H. Tasaki (abbreviation AKLT is widely used). It became essential in condensed matter physics and quantum information (measurement-based quantum computation). Many publications have been devoted to the subject. Recently entanglement was studied in the VBS state. In this review, we start with the definition of a general AKLT spin chain and the construction of VBS ground state. In order to study entanglement, a block subsystem is introduced and described by the density matrix. Density matrices of 1-dimensional models are diagonalized and the entanglement entropies (the von Neumann entropy and Rényi entropy) are calculated. In the large block limit, the entropies also approach finite limits. Study of the spectrum of the density matrix led to the discovery that the density matrix is proportional to a projector.

Background: The training of teachers who teach mathematics is surrounded by knowledge that changes over time. These changes are for several moments mobilized by specialists, in this context, the official documents are possible historical sources for reading and analyzing changes. Objective: To analyze the systematizations of a “Geometry for teaching” put into circulation for the training of teachers, at the end of the 19th century, in Rio de Janeiro, at this time the Republic, by professors Amélia Fernandes da Costa, Luiz Augusto dos Reis and Manoel José Pereira Frazão, appointed by the republican power for the mission of pedagogical studies in Europe. Data collection and analysis: Data were collected from the travel records of commissioners, and also from publications in educational, analysed from the perspective of Cultural History. Design: Use for the study the official reports found by the documents and Revista Pedagogica, printed for teachers, these documents, acquired or accumulated by the specialists in question, were solved and problematized following the following investigation steps: recompilation of teaching experiences; comparative analysis of teachers' knowledge; analysis of systematization and use of knowledge as knowledge (Valente, 2018; 2020). Setting and Participants: It is a historiographical study in documents. Results: An analysis of the sources revealed that the performance of the documents, as well as their active participation in political issues and primary education, the recognition of peers, a call from the State for the pedagogical trip and the consequent responsibility to produce an official report, placed them in the category of Experts, thus allowing us to qualify them and put into circulation a proposal for a new “Geometry for teaching”, characteristic of intuitive times, and against the previous proposal. Conclusions: The “Geometry for teaching” put into circulation, should be mobilized by teachers in close relationship with Design and Handicrafts and was not structured as a subject in primary school.

Pedagogical agents – lifelike characters that guide users through multimedia learning environments – are intended to facilitate the learning process. According to social agency theory, the presentation of social cues (the image and voice of the agent) may prime the social interaction schema and cause the learner to deeply process the learning material. Research on pedagogical agents focuses mainly on either the role of the presence of pedagogical agents, by comparing agent and no-agent groups, or on the design of the character, by comparing different agent groups. This article takes a comprehensive view combining both approaches in order to answer the question of how pedagogical agents should be designed so as to promote learner motivation and learning. It is argued that not only the mere presence, but also the valence of the social cues presented plays a decisive role. Two experiments examine the role of the perceived appeal of a pedagogical agent’s appearance and voice. The results of Experiment 1 indicate that pedagogical agents may promote transfer performance, but only if they are appealing in appearance. The mere inclusion of a pedagogical agent yielded no effect on motivation or learning. Experiment 2 suggests that a high appeal of the pedagogical agent’s appearance and voice promoted transfer performance. However, this advantage did not occur when compared to a control group without an agent. The presentation of two unappealing social cues (appearance and voice) even harmed transfer. This result suggests an important modification of social agency theory.

Measurement-based quantum computing (MBQC) is a model of quantum computing that proceeds by sequential measurements of individual spins in an entangled resource state. However, it remains a challenge to produce efficiently such resource states. Would it be possible to generate these states by simply cooling a quantum many-body system to its ground state? Cluster states, the canonical resource states for MBQC, do not occur naturally as unique ground states of physical systems. This inherent hurdle has led to a significant effort to identify alternative resource states that appear as ground states in spin lattices. Recently, some interesting candidates have been identified with various valence-bond-solid (VBS) states. In this review, we provide a pedagogical introduction to recent progress regarding MBQC with VBS states as possible resource states. This study has led to an interesting interdisciplinary research area at the interface of quantum information science and condensed matter physics.

Observations of the physical behaviour (motions) of the valence (frontier) electrons in the iconic benchmark hydride molecules CH4, NH3, and H2O are used to provide a direct experimental evaluation of hybridization and of the localized and delocalized orbital models of molecular electronic structure, after more than 80 years since the initial proposals of these theoretical concepts. Our previously published experimental measurements of valence (frontier) electron momentum probability distributions, made by electron momentum spectroscopy (EMS), are compared with those calculated using the localized molecular orbital (LMO) model and a range of hybrid orbital models, as well as with the delocalized canonical molecular orbital (CMO) and density functional theory Kohn–Sham orbital (KSO) models. In all cases, the electron momentum probability distributions calculated with LMOs and localized hybrid orbital type models are inconsistent with the experimental observations. In contrast, those calculated with the delocalized CMOs and KSOs are in very good agreement with the experimental measurements. These findings are of importance in those research applications such as reactivity, drug and novel material design, and also in molecular electronics, where the shapes and orientations of particular valence (frontier) orbital electron density probability distributions (and not the total electron densities) are considered to be key determining factors. These findings and their implications are also of pedagogical significance in chemistry and molecular physics.

Affecting preservice teachers' pedagogical intentions and future behavior is a challenging goal of teacher education. It may be accomplished by purposefully changing their beliefs. The aim of this study was to investigate whether lesson videos, compared to an argumentation-based video format, can evoke stronger and more positive emotional reactions and whether these reactions in turn result in higher changes in beliefs, attitudes, and intentions. We measured student-oriented teaching beliefs, attitudes, and intentions of N = 129 preservice teachers before and after the intervention. As a treatment check, we also quantified their emotional reaction (arousal and valence) to the intervention. Results of indirect effect models revealed that watching lesson videos led to higher emotional arousal and, overall, higher emotional arousal was related to more positive change in beliefs. However, change rates of teaching beliefs, attitudes, and intentions were the same for the lesson video and the expert talk video group. Emotional valence had no effect on change of beliefs, attitudes, or intentions. This study adds empirical evidence to theoretical claims concerning the effects of emotions on changing teaching-related beliefs.

O artigo procura refletir a respeito dos resultados de uma abordagem de ensino e aprendizagem voltada para a formação continuada de professores de Geografia em Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) no contexto dos princípios da Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica proposta por Moreira (2005). O curso foi estruturado visando promover o Conhecimento Tecnológico e Pedagógico do Conteúdo TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) como resultado da visão integrada de conhecimentos articulada por Mishra & Koehler (2006). Alicerçado num contexto pedagógico que procurou combinar o uso de tecnologias digitais com a Espiral de Aprendizagem de Valente (2005), com os aportes da Didática das Ciências de Zabala (1998) e com a Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica de Moreira (2005).

Background. We apply the theory of step-by-step concept formation (Galperin) and the theory of learning activity (Davydov) to the practice of education and teacher training. Objective. ! is paper describes a feasible way to teach the basics of Galperin’s theory to students studying pedagogical psychology, by involving them in an exemplary educational module on combining chemical formulas according to the elements’ valency values. Design. We suggested that our students participate in an educational module which was designed as an example of how to materialize orientation components of action as the basis of concept formation. ! e “practical” action for mastering the valency concept was to combine the correct formula for a pair of elements, whose valency was provided, and correct the formulas made by someone else. However, the core “orientation” required an extended procedure of building a “molecule” structure with a special construction kit. ! e key challenge for the students was to coordinate their calculation of the number of bonds needed for the molecule, and name the exact total before they would receive their atom-tokens for constructing the model. Results. Our workshop participants took on the role of students facing their " rst encounter with chemistry, and embarked on the formation sequence. At the same time they analyzed the mistakes they had made by ignoring some procedural steps. Considered through the lens of Galperin’s theory, these “adult” mistakesproved how vital his theoretical principles are for educational design. Conclusion. Our workshop thus illustrated that the search for the proper action for concept formation within Galperin’s theory framework is a challenging task. ! e di# culties that our participants experienced while they worked as pupils revealed the divergence of didactic approaches. ! e e$ ectiveness of the concept formation approach, even within our small exemplary educational module, once again con" rmed the practical value of pedagogical psychology in general, and Galperin’s theory in particular.

L’obiettivo dell’articolo è di rintracciare la valenza formativa dei laboratori autobiografici e promuovere la cultura della memoria e dell’autobiografia in carcere: contesto di storie difficili che necessitano, sempre più e con maggiore attenzione, di essere ascoltate e comprese attraverso proposte di percorsi formative sempre più mirate ai nuovi bisogni. D’altra parte anche l’Ordinamento penitenziario raccomanda l’inclusione del detenuto in percorsi trattamentali in carcere finalizzati ad un migliore reinserimento sociale. Ed è per questo che, all’interno del Piano pedagogico degli Istituti penitenziari sono sempre più presenti laboratori autobiografici che permettono ai partecipanti di ripercorrere la propria vicenda esistenziale,di riflettere su di sé per una ri-progettazione in vista del «fine pena» e con l’accompagnamento di esperti in metodologie autobiografiche.

Abstract If in England William Shakespeare’s dramatic work is perceived on the one hand as a tradition and, on the other hand, as a suitable platform for experimentation, in Romania vocational higher education programs in the field of Theater and Performing Arts provide space for practice on Elizabethan dramaturgy. Whether we understand Will’s texts as a compulsory subject, or whether it challenges both the teacher and the student to discover new valences of interpretation, the Shakespeare module is an important milestone in the young artist’s stage training process. A test subject for the performing arts professor, but also a wide range of characteristics that unfolds in front of the student, the Shakespearean universe is viewed by the artist from the inside in order to be successful on stage. Thus felt and rediscovered, the author transforms into a living material, it is a starting point towards a horizon that is discovered by everyone and is, equally, a return to self and recognition, an inexhaustible effect that classical literature has on many generations in a row.

In this work we address the problem of understanding how musical style influences perceived emotion as well as their pedagogical consequences. The first problem arises when considering the very definition of style. The definition of musical style and how to apply it is thoroughly discussed. Several experiments were carried out in order to gain understanding about the emotional response to musical style. Six styles (Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism, pandiatonicism, twelve-tone serialism, and Phrygian mode) were selected and pieces were composed in those styles to be later played to both musicians and novices. Their perceived emotional response was measured and the results were analyzed thereafter. Differences were found across styles, mode and musical background, including complex patterns in valence and arousal. Last but not least, the knowledge acquired from this research can be incorporated a corpus for application and future study and use in music conservatories and centers for higher education and investigation.

The article shows the background and specifics of application of differential psychological and psychophysiological approach to learning in modern school. The revealed problems of the use of the process of individualization and differentiation of teaching, the necessity of taking into account the individual learning opportunities, individual style of pedagogical activity, as well as features the method used by the teacher during training at the modern stage of education development. Presents the advantages and disadvantages of the 3 paradigms of providing training and education of students in modern school in terms of educational and personal needs of the participants in the learning process. The study showed which may have the effect of environmental factors (primarily representations of teachers about the abilities of their wards, i.e., the performance assessment by teachers) on the results of the exam. And that is not unimportant, skills and abilities of teachers play an important role in the learning process. According to the authors, the effectiveness of the learning process depends on "valence" the following three factors against each other and their variability: styles of teaching; learning styles (types of teaching techniques or learning technologies); individual strategies to acquire knowledge, skills, skills. The reflections are part of the Master's Dissertation entitled Integration of digital media in basic education for the study of sustainability, Professional Master in Business Administration from Unoesc, Chapecó (Brazil). The research aims to understand the TPACK structure and its relationship to the process of teaching and learning in the context of the classroom. The research addresses the integration of digital media in the teaching-learning process, allowing the student to learn in a healthy, pleasurable, meaningful and innovative way. The structure is based on Koehler and Mishra (2009), who touted the need for teachers to understand pedagogically the inclusion of technologies in the context of the classroom. The study was developed through qualitative research, using semi-structured interviews with teachers of the Education Network of a municipality located in the Santa Catarina’s State, characterized as a case study. As for its nature, the research is classified as applied and based on its objectives, the study can be considered descriptive. The dice were analyzed by content technique analysis. Among the main results, it is identified that teachers use digital media available in schools, but present traditional postures where the student becomes a passive being. In schools where digital media integration occurs, work depends on the computer teacher. Some teachers yearn for the integration of technological resources in teaching practice, however, they need training.ResumoAs reflexões fazem parte da Dissertação de Mestrado intitulada Integração das novas tecnologias na Educação Básica para o estudo da sustentabilidade, Mestrado profissional em Administração da Unoesc, Campus Chapecó. A pesquisa objetiva entender a estrutura TPACK e sua relação com o processo de ensinar e aprender no contexto da sala de aula. A pesquisa aborda a integração das mídias digitais no processo ensino aprendizagem, permitindo o aluno aprender de maneira saudável, prazerosa, significativa e inovadora. A estrutura se fundamenta em Koehler e Mishra (2009), que apregoa a necessidade dos docentes compreenderem pedagogicamente a inclusão das tecnologias no contexto da sala de aula. O estudo foi desenvolvido por meio de pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando entrevista semi-estruturada com professores da Rede de Ensino de um Município localizado no Estado de Santa Catarina, caracterizando-se como estudo de caso. Quanto à sua natureza, a pesquisa se classifica como aplicada e com base nos seus objetivos, o estudo pode ser considerado descritivo. Os dados foram analisados pela técnica de análise de conteúdo. Dentre os principais resultados, identifica-se que os docentes utilizam as mídias digitais disponíveis nas escolas, porém apresentam posturas tradicionais onde o aluno se torna um ser passivo. Nas escolas onde ocorre integração das mídias digitais, o trabalho depende do professor de informática. Alguns docentes anseiam pela integração de recursos tecnológicos na prática docente, contudo, necessitam de formação.SommarioLe riflessione che seguono sono parte della Dissertazione del Master intitolata integrazione dei media digitale nell’istruzione di base e studio della sostenibilità, Master professionale in Amministrazione dell’ Unoesc, Chapecó (Brasile). La ricerca ha l’obiettivo di comprendere la struttura TPACK e la sua relazione con il processo di insegnamento e apprendimento nel contesto della classe. La ricerca tratta dell’introduzione dei media digitale nel processo d’istruzione, dando la possibilità all’alunno di imparare di forma salutare e piacevole, significativa e innovativa. La struttura si basa negli studi di Koehler e Mishra (2009), che evidenziano la necessità di comprendere dal punto di vista della didattica il ricorso alle nuove tecnologie nel contesto della classe da parte dei docenti. Lo studio è stato realizzato per mezzo di ricerca qualitativa, utilizzando intreviste semi-strutturate con professori della rete d’istruzione di un Municipio localizzato nello Stato di Santa Catarina, si caratterizza come studio di caso. Per quanto riguarda la sua natura, la ricerca si classifica come applicata e con base nei suoi obiettivi, lo studio può essere considerato descritivo. I dati sono stati analizzati con la tecnica di analise de contenuto. Tra i principali risultati, si ha identificato che i docenti fanno ricorso ai media digitali disponibili nelle scuole, però ricorrono ad approcci tradizionali ai quali l’alunno diventa un essere passivo. Nelle scuole dove occorre l’introduzione dei media digitali, il lavoro dipende dal professore di informatica. RELATIONS BETWEEN Historical Critical Pedagogy, Historical Cultural Psychology and Leontiev Activity ConceptO objetivo deste artigo é apresentar a Teoria da Atividade desenvolvida pelo psicólogo russo Leontiev e suas contribuições para o processo de aprendizagem. Valendo-se de reflexões de autores da Pedagogia Histórico-crítica e da Psicologia Histórico-cultural, pretende-se relacionar política, didática e aprendizagem, uma vez que estes elementos são indissociáveis para compreender o panorama educacional contemporâneo. Buscou-se compreender o significado de educação, prática social, atividade, atividade pedagógica para, posteriormente, associá-las com práticas educativas que promovam mudanças significativas nos sujeitos.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this article is to present the Theory of Activity from the Russian psychologist Leontiev and its contributions to the learning process. Taking advantage of various author reflections on the Historical Critical Pedagogy and Historical Cultural Psychology, in order to link policy, teaching and learning, as these elements areinextricably linked to understanding the contemporary educational scene. The concept of covalent bonding is characterized by an interconnected knowledge framework based on Lewis and quantum models of atoms and molecules. Several research studies have shown that students at all levels of chemistry learning find the quantum model to be one of the most difficult subjects to understand. We have tried in this paper to analyze the extent to which Algerian students, at the end of their training, have integrated the covalent bonding theories based on the quantum model of atom theory and are able to interpret Lewis structures using the quantum model. The analysis of the responses to a written questionnaire showed that this integration was not achieved by our students and that they are not able to correctly describe covalent bonds in a Lewis structure using the concepts of the quantum model. They have a “quantum box” conception of atomic or hybrid orbitals. This conception acts as a “pedagogical learning impediment” to the integration of the geometrical representations of atomic and hybrid orbitals, the conditions of their overlapping to give bonds and consequently the description of covalent bonds using the quantum model. So, the students use an alternative conceptual framework based on the use of Lewis model paired valence electrons to form covalent bonds that we have named the: “electrons pair framework”. Furthermore, the students restricted the denomination of a covalent bond to the sharing of one electron (either s or p but not spⁿ) from each atom to give one “electron pair σ”, and thought that σ bonds are only formed in single bonds.

OBJETIVO: Este artigo tem como proposta trazer as possíveis relações e as potenciais possibilidades propostas por Paulo Freire em sua obra Pedagogia da Autonomia para o desenvolvimento de oito dimensões do conhecimento elencadas para a Educação Física na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). MÉTODOS: Valendo-se das recomendações de Freire para a formação progressista dos professores, procuramos associar a prática docente à essência das práticas pedagógicas com vistas ao atingimento dos objetivos relacionados indiretamente às competências da educação básica. RESULTADOS: Por meio do desenvolvimento dessas dimensões propomos a reflexão sobre a validade das propostas na concepção da educação física como área potencial de desenvolvimento de capacidades vitais à construção do indivíduo histórico-social. CONCLUSÃO: As reflexões propostas por Paulo Freire em Pedagogia da Autonomia são valiosas na construção das práticas pedagógicas com vistas ao desenvolvimento das oito dimensões do conhecimento elencadas para a Educação Física na BNCC.ABSTRACT. Pedagogy of Autonomy from Paulo Freire and school physical education: relations and possibilities on the National Common Curricular Base in BrazilOBJECTIVE: This article aims to bring possible connections and potential possibilities presented by Paulo Freire on his work Pedagogy of Autonomy for the development of eight dimensions of knowledge listed for Physical Education program on the National Common Curricular Base in Brazil (BNCC). METHODS: Based upon Freire’s recommendations for the progressive education of professors and having the author as a theoretical reference, we seek to associate teaching practice with the essence of pedagogical practices in order to achieve indirect goals related to basic education skills. RESULTS: Through the development of those dimensions and also proposing the reflection on the validity of Freire’s propositions regarding the conception of physical education as a potential area of development of vital capabilities for the construction of the historical-social individual. CONCLUSION: Reflections from Paulo Freire in Pedagogy of Autonomy are valuables to build pedagogical practices that aim at the development of eight dimensions of knowledge listed for Physical Education program on the BNCC.

Values are such multiform phenomenon that they can be considered in numerous aspects, depending on the point of view and methods of research. They can be considered from the philosopher, psychologist, ethnographer, culture anthropologist, sociologist or economist point of view. However, in the frames of the elaboration, the topic is seen from the pedagogical and psychological aspect of what we call a value. A value can be considered as a phenomenon of choosing an aim, assuming an attitude towards the aim, selection of alternative aspirations in a certain psychological situation, selection of needs, means of action.Assuming a family as a fundamental unit of society we can conclude that values work similarly in a family. Spouses understand each other better when they both assent the same basic values. Common values is the factor of constancy and development of marriage in the periods of crisis. Spouses, thanks to creation a common hierarchy of values, build between them a deep bond, asserting the most important values as the common ones, recognize their differences in the less important ones, as well as they respect each other’s variety of the lowest values in their values hierarchy, being aware of their enriching effect on the marital community. All over the world we can deal with values presented by somebody or something. While choosing a certain value a man attributes it to somebody or something and based on it choses between competitive objects. While attributing a value a man uses an evaluation to establish a valence of the object. In other words, we value if we prize certain things more than others. Values can refer to understanding one good for a unit or society, which is worth implementing.

<p><strong>Resumo</strong>: Neste estudo analisaram-se as políticas e as práticas de formação pedagógica oferecidas por uma Instituição de Ensino Superior, antevendo os espaços e tempos em que tal formação acontece. Argumenta-se que, diante da pluralidade de saberes que se apresentam na Educação Superior, o saber pedagógico está na mesma importância do saber da ciência específica. A pesquisa ocorreu em uma abordagem qualitativa e descritiva, valendo-se de estudo bibliográfico e análise documental. Este ensaio possibilitou compreender que a superação da cultura de omissão da necessidade de formação pedagógica para a atuação docente no ensino superior passa, necessariamente, por mudanças na concepção dos professores já atuantes em nossas universidades, bem como pela reflexão constante sobre a própria prática.</p><p><strong>Palavras-chave</strong>:<strong> </strong>Ensino superior. It is argued that, before the plurality of knowledge that is presented in Higher Education, the pedagogical knowledge is as important as knowledge of specific science. The survey has a qualitative and descriptive approach, making use of bibliographical study and documental analysis. This test allowed us to understand that overcoming the culture of omission of the need for teaching practice in higher education goes, necessarily, by changes in the concept of teachers who already work in our universities, as well as the constant reflection on their own practice.</p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: Higher education. El estudio se dio en un enfoque cualitativo y descriptivo, a partir de la literatura de investigación y análisis de documentos. Este artigo tem como objetivo identificar e analisar as ações voltadas ao uso pedagógico das tecnologias digitais da informação e comunicação (TDIC) realizadas nos subprojetos de Matemática do Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID). A pesquisa, de caráter qualitativo, envolveu a participação de coordenadores de área atuantes em 13 universidades federais, que apresentaram propostas de ações relativas ao uso das TDIC em seus subprojetos de Matemática. Primeiramente, foi realizado o estudo documental dos subprojetos das universidades participantes e, em seguida, a coleta de dados centrou-se nas entrevistas semiestruturadas feitas com os 15 coordenadores de área que atuam na orientação e supervisão dos licenciandos-bolsistas do PIBID. O referencial teórico que norteou a análise acerca da formação de professores baseou-se nos princípios de Freire, Imbernón e Nóvoa e, em relação às tecnologias digitais na educação, centrou-se nas ideias abordadas por Valente e Almeida, dentre outros pesquisadores atentos ao conhecimento profissional docente, na perspectiva de Mishra e Koehler sobre o TPACK. Os resultados mostraram que a maioria dos coordenadores de área não teve formação apropriada para o uso pedagógico das tecnologias digitais, embora todos reconheçam a sua importância. Evidenciaram-se dificuldades na utilização das TDIC nas escolas. Os coordenadores de área reconhecem a importância, para a formação inicial do professor, da vivência mais ampla e sistemática do futuro professor na realidade da escola básica pública, propiciada pelo PIBID. Em síntese, esta investigação permitiu compreender que a estrutura do PIBID, que aproxima a universidade da escola básica e o compartilhamento de saberes teóricos e práticos propiciam aos diferentes atores envolvidos interagir e aprender colaborativamente um com o outro. Essa interação e o comprometimento de todos garantem a eficiência das propostas do PIBID para que a Educação no nosso país possa (re)colocar o ensino atual no século XXI.Palavras-chave: Formação de Professores. TPACK.AbstractThis paper aims to identify and analyze the actions directed to the pedagogical use of information and communication digital technologies (TDIC, in Portuguese) performed in the Mathematics subprojects of the Scholarship Institutional Program for Initiation to teaching (PIBID, in Portuguese). The research of a qualitative approach, involved the participation of area coordinators active in thirteen federal universities, which presented proposals for actions relating to the use of TDIC in its Mathematics subprojects. First, the documental study was conducted of the subprojects of participating universities and, then, the data collection focused on semi-structured interviews carried out with the fifteen area coordinators who work in the guidance and supervision of PIBID teaching degree-scholarship student. The theoretical framework that guided the analysis about the teachers’ training was based on the principles of Freire, Imbernón and Nóvoa and in relation to digital technologies in education used the ideas discussed by Valente, Almeida, among other researchers who focus teacher’s professional knowledge, under Mishra and Koehler’s perspective on TPACK. The results showed that the majority of area coordinators did not have appropriate training for the pedagogical use of digital technologies, although all of them recognize their importance considering that students licensees and basic school students are digital natives. Some difficulties were highlighted related to the use of TDIC in schools, such as the lack of infrastructure and technical support, as well as the teacher’s time management and the need of their training. The area coordinators acknowledge the importance of PIBID for the teachers’ initial training, because the broader experience and more systematic of the future teacher in the reality of public basic school can facilitate the learning of teaching practice. In summary, this research allowed to understand that the PIBID’s structure, which brings the university closer to the elementary school and the sharing of theoretical and practical knowledge, allows the different involved actors to interact and learn collaboratively with one another. This interaction and the commitment of all ensure the efficiency of the PIBID’s proposals so that Education in our country can (re)place current teaching in the 21st century.Keywords: Teacher training. A study was conducted on the understandings of the accepted model of ionic substances that are held by participants at all levels of the chemical education system in Croatia, including secondary school students, university students, and chemistry teachers. We follow the research of Taber who found that a diagram of a layer of a sodium chloride crystal can be perceived by students as due to electrostatic attractions, consistent with the currently accepted view, or in an alternative molecular framework in which ionic bonding is seen as the process of electron transfer from one atom to another. A Croatian translation of the instrument used by Taber was administered to 650 secondary school students, 264 tertiary undergraduate students, and 86 teachers of chemistry at the secondary level. It was found that significant percentages of the participants, including teachers, interpreted the diagram with conceptions consistent with the molecular framework. Significant numbers of participants at all levels showed evidence of beliefs consistent with Taber's categories of a history conjecture (ionic bonds exist only between the partners in electron transfer), a valency conjecture (the number of ionic bonds that an ion can form is dependent on the electron configuration of the parent atom and is related to the number of electrons gained or removed to form a “stable octet”), and a “just forces” conjecture (ionic bonds involve something more than forces of attraction). The existence of alternative conceptions of ionic bonding at all levels of the education system, including among the teachers, is a situation of considerable concern. Obviously the pedagogical content knowledge of teachers cannot be based on an inadequate level of content knowledge. Remedial action seems to be important. As a first step, we speculate on the possible sources of the alternative conceptions. This includes an analysis of the chemical validity of the subject matter that is commonly presented in textbooks.

ResumoNo sentido de contribuir para o entendimento dos processos de conceitualização na Educação Básica, pretende-se nesse trabalho identificar quais elementos do campo conceitual do Teorema de Pitágoras estiveram presentes nos processos de ensino em uma experiência pedagógica e como as características destes indicam caminhos de aprendizagem. A pesquisa tem uma abordagem qualitativa com traços de pesquisa participante. Com o referencial da Teoria dos Campos Conceituais, atividades de ensino foram elaboradas, monitoradas e investigadas valendo-se da Análise de Conteúdo. A análise mostrou os conceitos do campo conceitual e levantou considerações acerca da estrutura de rede dos conceitos, das várias ordens e relações intercomplementares entre sentido, conceito e representação no processo de conceitualização.Palavras-chave: Construção de conceitos, Triângulo retângulo, Teoria dos campos Conceituais, Educação básica. AbstractIn order to contribute to the understanding of the conceptualization processes in Basic Education, this work intends to identify which elements of the Pythagorean Theorem conceptual field were present in a pedagogical experience and how these characteristics indicate paths of learning. The research has a qualitative approach with features of participant research. With the Theory of Conceptual Fields reference, teaching activities were developed, applied, monitored and investigated using Content Analysis. The analysis showed the concepts of the conceptual field and raised considerations about the network structure of the concepts, also the various orders and intercomplementary relations between meaning, concept and representation in the conceptualization process.Keywords: Concept construction, Rectangle triangle, Conceptual field theory, Basic education.ResumenCon el fin de contribuir a la comprensión de los procesos de conceptualización en Educación Básica, este trabajo intenta identificar qué elementos del campo conceptual del Teorema de Pitágoras estuvieron presentes en los procesos de enseñanza en una experiencia pedagógica y cómo sus características indican caminos de aprendizaje. La investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo con características de investigación participativa. Basado en la teoría de los campos conceptuales, las actividades de enseñanza se desarrollaron, monitorearon e investigaron utilizando el análisis de contenido. A escolha do tema, que será abordado a seguir, teve como propósito: a) identificar, refletir e trazer à discussão, as práticas e projeções pedagógicas e familiares relacionadas ao uso da biblioterapia que induzem a comunidade universitária a futuras interações e à prática da leitura; b) empreender uma simples análise dos aspectos referentes à utilização da biblioterapia como apoio na formação do sujeito cognitivo, suas implicações e benefícios. Serão relatadas, metodologicamente, experiências vivenciadas em uma faculdade particular, situada no município de Valença, trazendo a lume o nível de stress dos educandos do oitavo semestre do curso de Pedagogia da Faculdade de Ciências Educacionais - FACE, dados coletados através dos métodos estatísticos, significado social da utilização da biblioterapia na formação do senso crítico do sujeito, na era dos avanços tecnológicos, auto-ajuda no combate ao stress na jornada acadêmica. Esperamos que os conjuntos dessas reflexões sirvam para fomentar a questão, incentivar o uso da biblioterapia sob prismas lúdicos, fantasiosos e resgatar a arte de sonhar, entendido como direito universal o que concorre para a redução da depressão, stress, agressividade, atuando diretamente no alívio das tensões psicológicas dos universitários baianos. AbstractThe choice of this theme, which will be discussed, has as purpose: a) identify, reflect and bring to discussion, practices, pedagogic and family projections related to the use of bibliotherapy, that induces the university community to future interactions and to reading practices; b) undertake a plain analysis of the aspects related to bibliotherapy to support the training of cognitive subject, its implications and benefits. It will be reported, methodologically, experiences in a particular college in the city of Valencia, bringing to light the level of stress of the eighth semester pedagogy students of Educational Sciences Faculty – FACE. Data were collected by statistical methods, social meaning of bibliotherapy as a way to develop the critical sense of the subject in the age of technological advance, self-help to combat stress in academic journey. We hope that these sets of reflections are useful to promote the issue, encourage the use of bibliotherapy under a playful and fanciful prism, and also, to recover the art of dream, understood as an universal law, that contributes to reduce depression, stress and aggressivity, acting directly for the relief of Bahians university students’ psychological tensions.

Hoy día, a nuestro parecer, tanto desde la sociedad en general como desde las propuestas pedagógicas en torno a lo corporal y su expresión motriz en la infancia, no se atiende la multidimensionalidad y las necesidades de niños y niñas que habitan las instituciones educativas. ¿Dónde estamos? ¿hacia dónde vamos? y ¿hacia dónde queremos ir en Educación Física? son preguntas que nos interpelan a reflexionar sobre el sentido, significado y contribución de la disciplina a la sociedad, motivándonos a proponer una Educación Física otra, pensada desde las infancias como contrapropuesta a las lógicas de individualización, rendimiento y competitividad presentes en el sistema educativo tan propias de las sociedades de mercado. En este marco, en una primera parte planteamos tensiones presentes en el sistema educativo actual que perpetúan propuestas mas próximas a la corriente físico-deportiva de la Educación Física, y no así a aproximaciones relacionadas con la motricidad infantil, que significa la expresión de la globalidad, autovalencia y sello particular del ser y estar en el mundo de cada niño y niña. En segundo lugar, planteamos los fundamentos de esta Educación Física otra pensados desde las infancias, referidos a los significados de lo corporal y la motricidad en el desarrollo de niños y niñas. Significados que dignifican sus experiencias lúdico-exploratorias, sus posibilidades de ser con ellos y ellas, de ser con los otros y otras, y de ser unos y unas con y en la naturaleza. Se concluye, más allá de un recetario homogéneo, invitando a educadores y educadoras a re-crear, junto a los niños y niñas, itinerarios de realización vital que permitan el desarrollo de la capacidad de ser, convivir, poder y saber hacer. Abstract. Today, in our opinion, both from society in general and from the pedagogical proposals regarding the corporal and its motor expression in childhood, the multidimensionality and needs of boys and girls who live in educational institutions are not being addressed. Where are we? where are we going? and where do we want to go in Physical Education? These are questions that challenge us to reflect on the meaning, significance and contribution of the discipline to society, motivating us to propose an "other" Physical Education, conceived from childhood as a counterproposal to the logics of individualisation, performance and competitiveness present in the educational system, so typical of market societies. In this framework, we first present tensions present in the current educational system that perpetuate proposals closer to the physical-sporting approach to Physical Education, rather than related to children's motor skills that encompasses the expression of the globality, self-valence and particular stamp of being in the world of each boy and girl. Secondly, we propose the foundations of this "other" Physical Education thought from the perspective of childhood, referring to the meanings of the body and motor skills in children's development. Meanings that dignify their playful-exploratory experiences, their possibilities of being with them, of being with others, and of being with and in nature. We conclude, beyond a homogeneous recipe book, by inviting educators to re-create, together with the children, itineraries of vital fulfilment that allow the development of the capacity to be, to live together, to be able and to know how to do.

This article is an offshoot of a doctoral research on digital technologies, focusing on the use of the Google My Maps tool in the teaching of Geography, which was carried out in a practice that focused on the construction of maps on the cartography of Portugal, conceived in a perspective of a qualitative collaborative research involving twenty-eight secondary school students from a public school in Carcavelos - Portugal, in 2018. In general, the organization of this practice indicated that this tool has a good didactic potential and has versatility of use to develop the main notions of school cartography and contents about the Geography of Portugal. In addition, the importance of the use of technologies in the school context was emphasized, which enhances the use of new languages and approaches to teach and learn Geography.Resumo Esse artigo é um desdobramento de uma pesquisa de doutorado sobre a temática tecnologias digitais, concentrada na utilização da ferramenta Google My Maps no ensino de Geografia que se efetivou em uma prática que teve como foco a construção de mapas sobre a cartografia de Portugal, concebida numa perspectiva de investigação qualitativa de natureza colaborativa, envolvendo vinte e oitos estudantes do ensino secundário de uma escola pública de Carcavelos – Portugal, em 2018. Em linhas gerais, a organização desta prática indicou que esta ferramenta tem um bom potencial didático e apresenta versatilidade de uso para desenvolver as noções principais da cartografia escolar e conteúdos sobre a Geografia de Portugal. e4260125The article aims to understand the challenges inherent to the initial phase of teaching, focusing on training needs and, consequently, on collective responsibilities for a university education project. The text, derived from a predominantly qualitative research, is based on the data produced from the observation of 10 beginning professors’ work from a state public university, in different areas of knowledge. The research observed the classes intensively during a school semester and adopted narratives as a methodological tool of reflection and teaching training. Data analysis made it possible to understand that individual paths of training and professional performance, constructed by beginning professors, need to be strengthened by collective responsibilities that support their pedagogical micro-decisions. For that, professors need conditions for favoring the promotion and enhancement of diversified experiences realized in institutional initiatives or supported by research/training strategies. It triggers not only the understanding of the formative needs felt by teachers (subjective dimension), referenced in the pedagogical field, but also the socially desired needs (objective dimension). Thus, we can see the interface between pedagogical knowledge for the exercise of teaching and the social responsibility inherent to a socially and scientifically relevant project of training professional-citizens.ResumoO artigo objetiva compreender os desafios inerentes à fase inicial do exercício da docência, com foco nas necessidades formativas e, consequentemente, nas responsabilidades coletivas por um projeto de formação universitária. O texto, proveniente de uma pesquisa predominantemente qualitativa, toma como base os dados produzidos a partir do acompanhamento do trabalho de 10 professores iniciantes de uma universidade pública estadual, atuantes em diferentes áreas do conhecimento. Acompanhamento que recorreu, essencialmente, à observação livre e intensiva de suas aulas, durante um semestre letivo e à adoção de narrativas como possibilidade de reflexão e formação. A análise dos dados possibilitou compreender que os caminhos individuais de formação e atuação profissional, construídos pelos professores universitários iniciantes, precisam ser fortalecidos a partir de responsabilidades coletivas que deem sustentação às suas microdecisões pedagógicas. Para tanto, são necessárias condições que favoreçam a promoção e a potencialização de diversificadas experiências concretizadas em iniciativas institucionais ou apoiadas por estratégias de pesquisa-formação. Aciona-se não só a compreensão das necessidades formativas sentidas pelos professores (dimensão subjetiva), referenciadas no campo pedagógico, como também as necessidades socialmente desejadas (dimensão objetiva). Vislumbra-se, assim, a interface entre os conhecimentos pedagógicos para o exercício da docência e a responsabilidade social inerente a um projeto socialmente pertinente e cientificamente relevante de formação de cidadãos-profissionais.ResumenEl artículo tiene como objetivo comprender los desafíos inherentes a la fase inicial de la enseñanza, centrándose en las necesidades formativas y, en consecuencia, en las responsabilidades colectivas de un proyecto de educación universitaria. El texto, derivado de una investigación predominantemente cualitativa, se basa en los datos producidos a partir del seguimiento del trabajo de 10 profesores titulares de una universidad pública estatal, trabajando en diferentes áreas del conocimiento. Seguimiento que recurrió, esencialmente, a la observación libre e intensiva de sus clases, durante un semestre escolar y la adopción de narrativas como posibilidad de reflexión y formación. El análisis de datos hizo posible comprender que las trayectorias individuales de formación y rendimiento profesional, construidas por profesores universitarios titulares, deben fortalecerse sobre la base de responsabilidades colectivas que apoyan sus micro-decisiones pedagógicas. Para ello, se necesitan condiciones que favorezcan la promoción y mejora de experiencias diversificadas realizadas en iniciativas institucionales o apoyadas por estrategias de investigación/formación. Esto desencadena no sólo la comprensión de las necesidades formativas que sienten los profesores (dimensión subjetiva), referenciadas en el campo pedagógico, sino también las necesidades socialmente deseadas (dimensión objetiva). e5024057This article is an excerpt from the research carried out for the doctoral thesis Human-affective interrelationships in interactive processes in distance undergraduate courses in a private HEI. This is a qualitative research, a case study, in which the research subjects were the professors who, during the first semester of 2019, worked in the pedagogical mediation of Administration and Accounting courses at a private HEI. The objective of this work is to present the conceptions of the researched professors regarding the process of interaction with students and its interweavings with the pedagogical practice, analyzing the relationship of the variable interaction with the sensation of distance (Transactional Distance) from the professors’ point of view. The data collection techniques used were a questionnaire, answered by 14 teachers, of which 10 were selected for the second phase, with semi-structured interviews. Distance courses bring new challenges to teaching practice concerning interaction, as the student does not have the same characteristics as students in on-site courses: greater autonomy, virtual silence and communication asynchrony are some elements that pose challenges to teachers in the exercise of teaching practice. The teacher’s role continues to be the mediation of the teaching and learning process, but with different characteristics. Thus, we concluded that the interaction with the student from Distance Education brings new challenges to the distance teaching practices, being necessary to familiarize with the virtual presence, using new strategies relating to interaction with students. The greater the interaction, the lower the feeling of loneliness at the course and, the lower the transactional distance by the students.ResumoEste artigo é um recorte da pesquisa realizada para a Tese de doutorado Entrelaçamentos humano-afetivos em processos interativos em cursos de graduação a distância em uma IES privada. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, estudo de caso, em que os sujeitos da pesquisa foram os professores que, durante o primeiro semestre de 2019, atuavam na mediação pedagógica dos cursos de Administração e de Ciências Contábeis de uma IES privada. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar as concepções dos docentes pesquisados a respeito do processo de interação com os alunos e seus entrelaçamentos com a prática pedagógica, analisando a relação da variável interação com a sensação de distância (Distância Transacional) do ponto de vista dos professores. As técnicas de coleta de dados utilizadas foram: questionário, respondido por 14 professores, dos quais foram selecionados 10 para a segunda fase, e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os cursos a distância trazem novos desafios à prática docente no que se refere à interação, pois o aluno não tem as mesmas características dos alunos dos cursos presenciais: a maior autonomia, o silêncio virtual, a assincronia da comunicação são alguns elementos que representam desafios aos docentes no exercício da prática docente. O papel do professor continua sendo de mediador do processo de ensino e aprendizagem, mas com características diferenciadas. Conclui-se que a interação com o aluno da Educação a Distância traz novos desafios à prática docente a distância, sendo necessário se familiarizar com a presença virtual, utilizando novas estratégias no que se refere à interação com os alunos. Quanto maior é a interação, menor o sentimento de solidão no curso e, portanto, menor a distância transacional por parte dos alunos.Resumen Este artículo es un recorte de la investigación realizada para la tesis doctoral Entrelazamientos humano-afectivos en procesos interactivos en cursos de grado a distancia en una IES privada. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, un estudio de caso, en el que los sujetos de investigación fueron los docentes que, durante el primer semestre de 2019, trabajaron en la mediación pedagógica de los cursos de Administración y Contabilidad de una institución privada. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar las concepciones de los docentes investigados sobre el proceso de interacción con los estudiantes y los entrelazamientos con la práctica pedagógica, analizando la relación de la variable interacción con la sensación de distancia (Distancia Transaccional) desde el punto de vista del docente. Las técnicas de recogida de datos fueron un cuestionario, respondido por 14 docentes, de los cuales 10 fueron seleccionados para la segunda fase, con entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los cursos a distancia traen nuevos retos a la práctica docente en lo que respecta a la interacción, ya que el alumno no tiene las mismas características que los alumnos en los cursos presenciales: mayor autonomía, silencio virtual, comunicación asincrónica son algunos elementos que representan desafíos para los docentes en el ejercicio de la práctica docente. El papel del docente sigue siendo de mediador en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje, pero con características diferentes. Se concluye que la interacción con el alumno de la Educación a Distancia presenta nuevos desafíos para la práctica docente a distancia, siendo necesario la familiarización con la presencia virtual, utilizando nuevas estrategias de interacción con los alumnos. e4118124This paper updates the data from investigating processes conducted since 2013, in the In-service Teacher Education field at the EPT, Educação Profissional Tecnológica (Technological Professional Education), especially in a Instituto Federal de Educação (Federal School of Education). It embraces a discussion placed in the Philosophy of Language and of the Difference. The choice for this field is justified once it constitutes a scenario in which concepts and practices concerning Education and insertion of newcomer teachers are produced, considering the different epistemological, ontological and methodological displacements, bearing in mind the nature of the teachers’ admission and performance processes. The majority of those teachers does not have an educational degree, and become teachers through the practice of their profession. Thus, among the ordinary and the extraordinary of the teaching events in the EPT, drawing upon the listening process inserted in a derridarian autobiographical perspective, we mobilized a pedagogical dimension imbricated in those processes, proposing a deconstruction of the racionalistic logic assigned to the in-service Education. We, therefore, displaced the understanding of in-service as a simple status of those who are practicing their profession, in order to have them closer to the idea of the learning and Educating activity of professorality (the subjective ways of performing the teaching process). During the process, we mobilized methodological alternatives which transform the traditional pedagogical meetings into time-spaces of planning and Education, considering the narratives written by teachers, focusing especially on the newcomers’, as the main mechanism of curriculum production and management, as well as the problematization of the professional practice as an Educating geotemporality. Thus, we break with a teacher Education referenced in the pedagogical instrumentalization and certification, in order to observe the stream of authorship and invention in the production of each professorality.ResumoEste artigo atualiza dados de incursões investigativas realizadas, desde o ano de 2013, no campo da formação de professores em exercício da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT), particularmente em um Instituto Federal de Educação, e se inscreve em uma discussão perspectivada na Filosofia da Linguagem e da Diferença. A escolha desse campo justifica-se por constituir-se cenário em que conceitos e práticas sobre a formação e inserção dos professores iniciantes são produzidos a partir de diferentes deslocamentos epistemológicos, ontológicos e metodológicos, tendo em vista a natureza dos processos de admissão e atuação dos docentes, cuja maioria é de não licenciados, os quais tornam-se professores no exercício da profissão. Assim, entre o ordinário e o extraordinário do acontecimento da docência na EPT, valendo-nos de gestos de escuta, numa perspectiva derridiana de otobiografia, mobilizamos uma dimensão pedagógica implicada nestes gestos, propondo uma desconstrução da lógica racionalista atribuída à formação em exercício, na qual deslocamos o entendimento de exercício como mero status de quem está exercendo a profissão, para aproximá-lo da ideia de atividade aprendente e formadora da professoralidade. Nesse processo, mobilizamos alternativas metodológicas que transformam os tradicionais encontros pedagógicos em espaços-tempos de planejamento e formação, considerando as narrativas escritas dos professores, com atenção às dos iniciantes, como principal dispositivo de produção e gestão curricular, bem como de problematização do exercício profissional como geotemporalidade formativa. e4912046This scoping exploratory review was aimed at analyzing the challenges that the so-called post-truth world represents for teaching in Ibero-Latin American higher education. With the increased access to online information media and social networks, netizens are increasingly exposed and may be more vulnerable to false or misleading information that seeks to generate action from emotions rather than reason (GOSWAMI, 2017, Chronicle of Higher Education). The reference search was carried out in the databases of SciELO and La Referencia, from which 26 titles out of 196 were selected. Combinations of terms such as social media, post-truth, fake news, fact-checking, education, higher education, university, teaching, critical thinking, and freedom of expression were used, with the Boolean “Y” connector. The analysis of the references resulted in six thematic categories: main concepts; realms of fake news; news verification initiatives and methods; theoretical analysis and its relationship with education; studies on the factors, perception and credibility of fake news; and addressing misinformation in higher education. The discussion presents the draft of a proposed pedagogical model to be used in higher education and to address misinformation. Includes: critical thinking habits, democratic dialogue, intellectual skepticism, research skills, use of reliable sources of information, and analysis from multiple perspectives.ResumoEsta revisão exploratória de escopo teve como objetivo analisar os desafios que o chamado mundo pós-verdade representa para o ensino na educação superior ibero-americana. Com o aumento do acesso às mídias de informação online e redes sociais, os internautas estão cada vez mais expostos e podem ficar mais vulneráveis a informações falsas ou enganosas que buscam gerar ações a partir de emoções ao invés da razão (GOSWAMI, 2017, Chronicle of Higher Education). A busca das referências foi realizada nas bases de dados SciELO e La Referencia, das quais foram selecionados 26 títulos em 196. Combinações de termos como mídia social, pós-verdade, notícias falsas, checagem de fatos, educação, ensino superior, universidade, ensino, pensamento crítico e liberdade de expressão foram usadas, com o conector booleano “Y”. A análise das referências resultou em seis categorias temáticas: conceitos principais; escopos de notícias falsas; iniciativas e métodos de verificação de notícias; análise teórica e sua relação com a educação; estudos sobre os fatores, percepção e credibilidade das notícias falsas; e aproximação a desinformação no ensino superior. A discussão apresenta o esboço de uma proposta de modelo pedagógico para ser usado no ensino superior e para lidar com a desinformação. Inclui: hábitos de pensamento crítico, diálogo democrático, ceticismo intelectual, habilidades de pesquisa, uso de fontes confiáveis de informação e análise de múltiplas perspectivas.ResumenEsta revisión exploratoria de alcance tuvo como fin analizar los desafíos que para la enseñanza en la educación superior iberoamericana representa lo que se denomina el mundo posfactual (post-truth). Con el incrementado acceso a medios de información en línea y las redes sociales, los cibernautas están cada vez más expuestos y pueden ser más vulnerables a información falsa o engañosa que busca generar acción a partir de las emociones antes que la razón (GOSWAMI, 2017, Chronicle of Higher Education). La búsqueda de referencias se efectuó en las bases de datos de SciELO y La Referencia, de la cual se seleccionaron 26 títulos de 196. Se usaron combinaciones de términos como redes sociales, posverdad, noticias falsas, verificación de hechos, educación, educación superior, universidad, enseñanza, pensamiento crítico y libertad de expresión, con el conector booleano “Y”. El análisis de las referencias dio como resultado seis categorías temáticas: conceptos principales; ámbitos de las noticias falsas; iniciativas y métodos de verificación de noticias; análisis teóricos y su relación con la educación; estudios sobre factores, percepción y credibilidad de las noticias falsas; y abordaje de la desinformación en la educación superior. En la discusión se presenta el borrador de un modelo pedagógico propuesto para ser utilizado en la educación superior y abordar la desinformación. Il presente articolo propone ed espone un punto di vista professionale sul sapere e sulle pratiche pedagogiche contemporanee, soffermandosi in particolare sulla centralità dei soggetti in educazione. Il sapere pedagogico versa in uno stadio di ‘incertezza e precarietà’, lasciando aperti alcuni nodi sui modelli educativi, culturali e sociali. L’esplicitazione delle ‘precarietà’ del lavoro educativo merita di trovare un significato: l’incertezza si fa salutare debolezza, come Sergio Tramma ricorda in ‘L’educatore imperfetto’, la ‘costituzione instabile’ dell’educativo ne è la sua intrinseca forza perché rappresenta la costante apertura alla trasformazione, alla possibilità, alla lettura del cambiamento. Quale tensione deve accompagnare la mission educativa dei professionisti che operano nel campo delle scienze sociali, quali valori accompagnano l’agire educativo, infine quali proposte si possono attivare per creare un terreno pedagogico che possa essere fertile e foriero di suggestioni? Il paradigma della complessità che attraversa il ‘sapere sociale’ non deve solo preoccuparsi delle problematiche inerenti alle letture del contemporaneo ma può attivare energie e risorse inattese, in grado di ripensare il ruolo delle competenze di tutte le funzioni a valenza educativo-sociale (docente, educatore territoriale, assistente sociale, animatore di comunità, psicologo, mentore). La scommessa è quella di generare teorie ed esperienze trasformative che possano restituire protagonismo ai soggetti in educazione, sia nella dimensione individuale che in quella collettiva.

Resumo Neste artigo, sugerem-se algumas respostas sobre como a autonomia de professores de um contexto bilíngue de elite se faz perceber em suas vozes, através de análises do que dizem a respeito de suas práticas pedagógicas. A problemática que deu origem à pesquisa recaiu sobre as formações superiores variadas dos professores que não eram formados para trabalhar com níveis da educação infantil e séries iniciais; em alguns casos, tampouco eram formados em licenciatura. Esse “espaço” entre formação inicial e práticas pedagógicas lançou luz sobre questões que concernem à autonomia docente. O enfoque metodológico foi preconizado pela pesquisa qualitativa, valendo-se de um questionário escrito e de um grupo de discussão como instrumentos para geração dos dados. As reflexões foram embasadas nos seguintes autores: García (2009), Benson (1997), Benson e Huang (2008), Cunha (2007), Pesce (2012), Tardif (2002) e Megale (2020). Entendemos que, apesar de os professores não reconhecerem a autonomia em suas práticas, nem usarem essa palavra em suas falas, é por meio das escolhas que fazem para mobilizar o processo de ensinar e aprender que exercem o seu protagonismo e se empoderam no exercício da profissão. Conclui-se que o que evidencia sua autonomia parecem ser as decisões que tomam para adequarem suas práticas ao que a gestão espera, ao que os manuais de orientação indicam e ao que o livro do professor prevê, enquanto buscam uma prática que se mostre efetiva, mesmo que à revelia do controle imposto pela instituição.

Music education in the United Kingdom has long been centred on the study of historic European classical music. Many studies within the field of Music Psychology have investigated the various ways in which people respond to Western Art Music, and how those responses may differ in accordance with the listening context, but very few have examined the effect of music by specific composers. Bach’s music is still performed regularly around the world—arguably more so than any other composer—and continues to be regarded as essential repertoire by instrumental teachers across many disciplines. This study sought to investigate the potential reasons for this from the perspective of pedagogic value and listener response. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, incorporating semi-structured interviews with music educators alongside a listening experiment in which participants rated their emotional responses to a selection of pieces by Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. A reflexive thematic analysis was used to present an apologia for the continued propagation of Bach’s music in mainstream education, and listeners’ emotional responses were measured using a standardised scale. Additional ratings for valence, arousal, familiarity and overall enjoyment were also gathered from each participant. Results indicate a statistically significant relationship between the music of specific composers and some emotion categories. These findings could lend support to the continued hagiolatry of J. S. Bach in music education, in spite of the welcome drive towards the diversification of the curriculum.

Questo articolo dopo una breve descrizione del concetto di "inclusione scolastica" e di "comportamento prosociale", ha lo scopo di offrire degli importanti spunti di riflessione sulla valenza pedagogica e formativa di queste dimensioni psicosociali. Attraverso un excursus di studi dagli anni '60 ad oggi, l'articolo vuole esporre i benefici dell'inclusione scolastica, mettendo in evidenza come nei gruppi classe "etereogenei", specie quelli in presenza di alunni con disabilità possano migliorare le competenze relazionali di tutti gli alunni. In particolare si fa riferimento ad un recente studio svolto a Roma, in Italia e nella città di Uberlândia, nello Stato di Minas Gerais, in Brasile (Lombardi, 2011). Nel gruppo di adolescenti brasiliani, della città di Uberlândia il gruppo sperimentale riporta dei valori significativi (P 0.008), ovvero sembrerebbe confermata l'ipotesi cioè che gli alunni che hanno avuto in classe compagni con disabilità si percepiscono più prosociali, in particolare con una maggiore frequenza nei comportamenti di aiuto.Â

The paper describes content and process of an ongoing in-house ‘individual coached within a group’ coaching programme run over many years in Germany, utilising various concepts including classical, systemic and systemic organisational transactional analysis and three sequential research studies covering the perceived usefulness of the coaching programme to individuals and their organisation, the correlations between attendance at the programme and professional advancement within the organisation, and the factors identified by participants as contributing to the effectiveness of the programme The initial survey-based study identified the primary factor as the extent to which participants had been able to deal with their personally-identified most important individual issue or problem. The second study applied QCA (Qualitative Comparative Analysis) (Ragin 1987, 2000, 2008) and showed a correlation between the autonomous variables of participation in the group and the interdependent variable of ‘additional empowerment’ by the company. The third study used frequency and valence analysis of responses to a questionnaire completed by 38 managers to identify the key elements that they believed contributed to the effectiveness of the coaching programme.The author concludes that such programmes are effective but complex so require the coach to have psychological, pedagogical, leadership and manage-ment expertise and that this be applied within an organisational learning culture.

The history of Indian management education is overwhelmingly focused on the period from the 1950s and 1960s onward. This article traces the hitherto underexplored history of how, from the 1860s until the 1950s, Indians thought about and implemented education and training for managers. In particular, it demonstrates how Indian nationalist politicians articulated the nation-building utility of managers and managerial training, and how business education became yoked to nationalists’ broader visions of India’s economic regeneration. Beginning in the early twentieth century, Indian nationalists championed commercial education, advocating its evolution out of its vocational roots into something more scientific and specialized for producing skilled indigenous managers. The precise evolution of Indian commercial education exercised long-term influences on postcolonial management programs. First, Indians established a tradition of surveying the latest pedagogical methods and institutional models from around the world and adapting them to Indian conditions. Second, Indian advocates of commercial education carved out an important role for the state, working on commercial education endeavors with British officials in the colonial era and, later on, placing management education within the ambit of centralized state planning. Management had a fundamentally political valence in India. For this reason, commercial and management education programs in India, unlike in the West, largely avoided questions about their legitimacy.

Although emotions constitute an integral aspect of teachers’ lives, emotions experienced by teachers of English as a foreign language (EFL) in higher education, settings are relatively under-researched. Through in-depth interviews, this study aims to capture a small cohort of nine EFL female teachers’ emotional experiences when teaching English-major students in a large public university in Saudi Arabia. Methods of inductive thematic analysis helped capture the participants’ emotional experiences during teaching. The analysis of their emotional experiences is informed by Benesch’s (2017) critical approach to teachers’ emotions. The study revealed that relationships in the classroom and the institutional system greatly influence how teachers construct, express, and communicate their emotions. Teachers’ passion for teaching, students’ classroom engagement, and students’ appreciation of teachers’ efforts triggered the teachers’ sense of happiness and pride and contributed to their occasional positive valence. However, teachers often experienced anger, frustration, demoralization, anxiety, and sadness as a result of feeling disempowered when dealing with students’ disruptive behaviours and constraining institutional policies. The study suggests that teachers’ emotions influenced their pedagogical practices and physical and psychological wellbeing. Therefore, to support teachers’ emotional competence, mitigate teachers’ emotional difficulties experienced during teaching, and enhance classroom teaching and learning, educational institutions, program leaders, and policymakers need to acknowledge the centrality of teachers’ emotions in the EFL classroom.

Visuospatial thinking is considered crucial for understanding of three-dimensional spatial concepts in STEM disciplines. Despite their importance, little is known about the underlying cognitive processing required to spatially reason and the varied strategies students may employ to solve visuospatial problems. This study seeks to identify and describe how and when students use imagistic or analytical reasoning when making pen-on-paper predictions about molecular geometry and if particular reasoning strategies are linked to greater accuracy of responses. Student reasoning was evidenced through pen-on-paper responses generated by high attaining, high school students (N = 10) studying Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion (VSEPR) Theory in their final year of chemistry. Through analysis and coding of students’ open-ended paper-based responses to an introductory task, results revealed that students employed multiple reasoning strategies, including analytical heuristics and the spontaneous construction of external diagrammatic representations to predict molecular geometry. Importantly, it was observed that despite being instructed on the use of VSEPR theory to find analytical solutions, some students exhibited preference for alternative reasoning strategies drawing on prior knowledge and imagistic reasoning; showing greater accuracy with 3D diagrammatic representations than students who used the algorithmic method of instruction. This has implications for both research and practice as use of specific reasoning strategies are not readily promoted as a pedagogical approach nor are they given credit for in national examinations at school level.

Abstract In the mid-1920s, Solomon Tshekisho Plaatje toured the South African countryside showing films he brought from the Tuskegee Institute in the United States. Plaatje’s cinema tours complemented his educational talks on the status of Africans in the Union of South Africa alongside the material he collected for books, speeches and political tours. Focusing on the itinerant cinema as an element of fieldwork, our article asks what can be learned from approaching Plaatje’s research practices. We consider Plaatje’s methods of research in relation to conventional notions of social scientific fieldwork, which also relied on modern media but were often entangled in colonial projects that projected an image of African rural life. Drawing on letters, novels, and accounts of his film screenings, our essay argues for an interdisciplinary engagement with cinema practices in African history that is attentive to the uses of mass media in research and the pedagogical valences of itinerant film screenings. Considering Plaatje’s cinema alongside the value he attached to travelling and mobility, we argue that his cinema puts the field to work and inspires new practices of research in African Studies.

RESUMOEste artigo tem por objetivo analisar o uso da lousa digital em uma aula de matemática de abordagem instrucionista; propõe-se, também, um diálogo com a abordagem construcionista para aulas que utilizem essa tecnologia. Os dados analisados foram produzidos em uma pesquisa de mestrado, em que se investigou a formação continuada para professores de matemática, com foco no uso da lousa digital. Uma das propostas dessa formação foi o planejamento e desenvolvimento de aulas para turmas da Educação Básica. A abordagem escolhida para as atividades foi a construcionista; o aluno, nessa perspectiva, é sujeito ativo que propõe, discute e confirma as suas conjecturas. Neste estudo, partimos dos dados obtidos na observação de uma aula orientada pela abordagem instrucionista, para sugerir— orientados pelos estudos de Papert e de Valente — ações em uma abordagem construcionistas para práticas educacionais com lousas digitais. Evidencia-se, nessa investigação, as dificuldades do professor em superar a abordagem instrucionista, mesmo com o emprego da tecnologia digital. Apesar de tentar estabelecer diálogo com a turma, o professor respondeu a maioria das perguntas propostas por ele; os alunos não tiveram a oportunidade de serem ativos, propor questões ou conjecturar. No entanto, são indicadas possibilidades para que essa fosse orientada pela abordagem construcionista, de forma que alunos pudessem interagir entre si, com a Lousa Digital, e com o objeto em estudo.Palavras-chave: Aula de matemática; Tecnologias digitais; Formação de professores. ABSTRACTThis article aims to analyze the use of the digital whiteboard in an instructional approach mathematics class; it is also proposed pedagogical actions with a constructionist approach for classes that use this technology. The data analyzed were obtained in a master's research, which investigated continuing education for mathematics teachers, focusing on the use of the digital whiteboard. One of the proposals of this training was planning classes for Basic Education classrooms. The approach chosen for the activities was constructionist; in this perspective, the student is an active subject who proposes, discusses and confirms his conjectures. In this study, we start from the data obtained in the observation of an instructional class, to suggest - guided by the studies of Papert and Valente - constructionist actions for educational practices with digital whiteboards. It is evident, in this examination, the teacher's difficulties in overcoming the instructional approach, even with the use of digital technology. Despite trying to establish a connection with the class, the teacher answered most of the questions proposed by him; students did not have the opportunity to be active, ask questions or conjecture. However, constructionist procedures are still recommended in activities with digital boards, with an interaction among students, teachers and the object under study.Keywords: Mathematics class; Digital technologies; Teachers’ education. RESUMENEste artículo tiene como objetivo analizar una clase de matemáticas, de enfoque instruccional, en que se utilizó la pizarra digital; se propone, también, un diálogo con el enfoque construccionista para clases que utilicen esa metodología. Los datos analizados se produjeron en una investigación de maestría, que estudió el uso de la pizarra digital en la formación continua de profesores de matemáticas. Una de las propuestas en esta formación consistió en la planificación pedagógica destinada a alumnos de Educación Básica. . El enfoque escogido para las actividades fue el constructivista; el alumno, en esa perspectiva, es visto como un sujeto activo que propone, discute y confirma sus conjeturas. En este estudio, partimos de los datos obtenidos en la observación de una clase Instruccional, para sugerir — orientados por los estudios de Papert y Valente — acciones construccionistas para prácticas educativas con pizarras digitales. Se evidencian, en esta investigación, las dificultades del maestro para superar el enfoque instruccional, aun con el empleo de la tecnología digital. Aunque haya intentado establecer conexión con el grupo, el docente contestó la mayor parte de las preguntas formuladas. Los estudiantes no tuvieron la oportunidad de ser activos, formular preguntas o conjeturas acerca de las situaciones estudiadas en clase. Sin embargo, todavía se indican procedimientos construccionistas para actividades con pizarra digital, con el propósito de producir interacción entre estudiantes, maestros y el objeto en estudio. A análise do segundo, valendo-se de epistemologia genética piagetiana e da lógica formal, orienta-se pelas categorias: narrativa de ações, controle do tempo, fragmentos — totalidade, afirmação seguida de conjunção adversativa, o raciocínio hipotéticodedutivo, argumentação concatenada. Esta pesquisa procurou, pelas vias combinada da epistemologia genética piagetiana e da pedagogia freireana, delinear os pressupostos de um caminho capaz de recuperar o significado do processo de construção do conhecimento e da relação pedagógica fecunda, com vistas ao processo educacional escolar, em particular o de alfabetização, desses sujeitos.
