Повний текст джерелаStudien genomfördes som ett examensarbete vid Jönköpings Tekniska högskola. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur ljusrum upplevs i samband med historiska fasader och stadsrummet. Historiska byggnader är en viktig del av stadsrummet samt stadens identitet, kulturarv och historia. I dagsläget finns nästintill ingen tidigare forskning publicerad på upplevelsen av fasadbelysning. Studien genomfördes som tre fallstudier på platserna: rådhuset i Jönköping, Grand hotell i Stockholm och stadshuset i Göteborg med kvalitativa observationsmodeller (Lynch / Branzell, PERCIFAL & FOG). För att kunna jämföra de olika objekten har författarna tagit fram en egen metod kallad ”FOG”. FOG kommer från det engelska ordet dimma. FOG grundar sig i metoderna Lynch, Branzell, Cullen och optisk skala. Studien visar att FOG kan användas vid planering och som observations metod av fasadbelysning av en befintlig byggnad. FOG har även potential att kunna användas på andra objekt och för att stödja arbete med stadsgestaltning. En historisk fasads lämplighet för belysning påverkas av fasadens ornamentering och relation till stadsrummet. Resultaten från studien visar att belysning på historiska fasader ökar tillgängligheten av platsen, samt ökar upplevelsen av exklusivitet.

It also verifies the lighting elements, considering the environment as well as its inviting potential in relation to its use. Based on the aspects of how lighting can improve overall appearance of a city or region, how it can redefine references of its landscape and influence the way a pedestrian perceives his/her surroundings some strategies of an urban lighting master plan will be shown as a way to improve the public space of the Triangle at night and preserve its historical landmarks driving more people to the premises and emphasizing its heritage.

Повний текст джерелаEsta tesis tiene como objetivo mejorar las condiciones de trabajo en los edificios de oficinas mediante la implementación de sistemas de vegetación vertical, como fachadas verdes y muros vivos en climas semiáridos. Dado que el rendimiento energético de los edificios se caracteriza por sus sistemas eléctricos e intercambios térmicos a través de la envolvente del edificio, que se define principalmente por sistemas de acristalamiento en las fachadas, cubrir las fachadas acristaladas con una capa de vegetación puede desempeñar un papel clave en el ahorro de energía y el confort térmico de los edificios. Esta investigación evalúa, a través del método de simulación de edificios, la influencia de las fachadas verdes en el confort térmico, el consumo de energía y las cargas de calefacción y refrigeración de un edificio de oficinas en la ciudad de Denver con una condición climática semiárida. Además, el desempeño psicológico y físico de los jardines verticales como una solución basada en la naturaleza y, desde la perspectiva de las ciudades biofílicas y la filosofía, ha sido evaluado a través de una revisión de estudios previos relacionados con el efecto de los sistemas de vegetación en edificios de oficinas. Una fachada verde también se puede utilizar como una opción de modernización para la renovación de edificios de oficinas. Se creó un estudio de caso como modelo conceptual para investigar la influencia de las fachadas verdes y la configuración de las fachadas verdes en su predicción de rendimiento en climas semiáridos. Además, para una mejor comprensión del rendimiento del jardín vertical en regiones semiáridas, se llevaron a cabo estudios de caso de simulación en Barcelona con un clima mediterráneo (como artículos) y Denver con un clima semiárido como el contexto de esta disertación y se compararon sus resultados. La información generada a partir de la simulación de configuraciones de fachadas desnudas y verdes como una fachada de doble piel se incorporó a teorías cualitativas que intentan predecir los aspectos de comodidad humana en el entorno de trabajo. Para equilibrar las medidas de ahorro de energía a través de la renovación de fachadas verdes, cuatro criterios cualitativos sirven como base para la comodidad psicológica y física de los ocupantes, y se ha establecido su impacto en la productividad. Estos criterios son: el requisito de una temperatura del aire interior adecuada, la calidad del aire interior, la disponibilidad de luz natural para el desempeño psicológico de los usuarios y el control percibido sobre la fachada por una capa de vegetación en los lugares de trabajo. Finalmente, se introdujo un nuevo concepto de jardines verticales mediante la integración de la biología y la tecnología en la arquitectura, que puede resolver el problema de las condiciones climáticas y la escasez de agua en algunos climas, como los climas semiáridos, para la implementación de jardines verticales.

Повний текст джерелаMost important cities in the world have very detailed 2D urban plans of streets and public spaces.These plans contain information about roads, sidewalks, facades and urban objects such as lampposts, traffic signs, bollards, trees, among others.Nowadays, several local authorities, national mapping agencies and private companies have began to consider justifiable including 3D information, navigation options and accessibility issues into urban maps.Compared to the first 3D scanning systems 30 years ago, current laser scanners are cheaper, faster and provide more accurate and denser 3D point clouds.Urban analysis from these data is difficult and tedious, and existing semi-automatic methods may not be sufficiently precise nor robust.In that sense, automatic methods for 3D urban semantic analysis are required.This thesis contributes to the field of semantic analysis of 3D point clouds from urban environments.Our methods are based on elevation images and illustrate how mathematical morphology can be exploited to develop a complete 3D processing chain including six main steps:i)~filtering and preprocessing;ii)~ground segmentation and accessibility analysis;iii)~facade segmentation,iv)~object detection;v)~object segmentation;and, vi)~object classification.Additionally, we have worked on the integration of our results into a large-scale production chain. In that sense, our results have been exported as 3D point clouds for visualization and modeling purposes and integrated as shapefiles into Geographical Information Systems (GIS).Our methods have been qualitative and quantitative tested in several databases from the state of the art and from TerraMobilita project.Our results show that our methods are accurate, fast and outperform other works reported in the literature on the same databases.Conclusions and perspectives for future work are discussed as well

With the founding of the Hydroelectric Company of São Francisco (Chesf) in 1945 some cearenses politicians saw the opportunity to energize its territory and thus promote a substantial change in its economy by strengthening its industrial activity. Intellectuals belonging to Cariri also gathered to fight for this resource for your region, they built in 1949 the Pro-Electrification Committee and Industrialization of Cariri. The objective, then, think how changed the regional and state daily in 1950. Taking into account for this, the emergence of a political dispute around two electrification projects, advances and the entrance of technological objects that It came after power in 1961, and the desire to become a modern industrialized space. To that end, there was a range of sources in order to seek traces, confront them and destroy them to erect an analysis of the construction of the Cariri Electricity Company; that moved, in turn, dreams and desires linked to past projects, emerging them again before and after its foundation. Finally, when considering the material and immaterial changes in caririenses urban spaces, there was also the presence of American culture in their daily lives - derived from the rapprochement between the US and Brazil - mainly in Cariri through its support financial and technical tied to USAID and the Project Morris Asimow.
Com a fundação da Companhia Hidroelétrica do São Francisco (Chesf) em 1945 alguns políticos cearenses viram a possibilidade de energizar o seu território e, consequentemente, promover uma modificação substancial em sua economia por meio do fortalecimento de sua atividade industrial. Os intelectuais pertencentes ao Cariri também se congregaram para lutar por esse recurso para a sua região, para isso construíram em 1949 o Comitê Pró-Eletrificação e Industrialização do Cariri. Objetivamos, então, pensar como se modificou o cotidiano regional e estadual nos anos 1950. Levando em consideração, para isso, a emersão de uma disputa política em torno de dois projetos de eletrificação, os avanços e o ingresso de objetos tecnológicos que a chegavam depois de energizada em 1961, bem como o desejo em se tornar um espaço moderno e industrializado. Nesse intuito, verificamos uma gama de fontes a fim de buscar vestígios, confrontá-los e destruí-los para erigir uma análise sobre a construção da Companhia de Eletricidade do Cariri; que moveu, por sua vez, sonhos e desejos ligados a projetos passados, emergindo-os novamente antes e após a sua fundação. Enfim, ao pensarmos as mudanças materiais e imateriais ocorridas nos espaços urbanos caririenses, averiguamos também a presença da cultura norte-americana em seu cotidiano derivada da aproximação entre os EUA e o Brasil – principalmente, no Cariri por meio de seu apoio financeiro e técnico vinculado à Usaid e ao Projeto Morris Asimow.

Повний текст джерелаKnown from View is a research in visual poetics that examines an increasingly frequent situation in the contemporary urban context: apartment buildings with opposite windows too close. Neighbors who don’t formally know each other, but inadvertently, follow the one another’s lives. Through the contact with dwellers from forty apartments in Porto Alegre - Brazil, photographs and audio recordings were taken in order to guide the development of this project. In an analysis that takes the creative process as a base point to understand the pathways that lead to the conception of a project in visual arts, earlier projects, where the window appears somehow, are evoked in order to find continuities and operative procedures in my production. The urban landscape, the concept of view, and relationships between public and private spaces are explored in this research.
