Повний текст джерелаThe metamaterials community has been heavily excited since the publication of two articles by Pendry and Leonhardt in 2006 in which exotic devices such as invisibility cloaks are proposed to be implemented by space transformation. Indeed, the form invariance of the Maxwell equations allow for an equivalence between a deformed geometry and a material with specific properties. Since then, several experimental studies have shown the feasibility of such transformed devices. The form invariance is also found in other physical domains such and the space transformations were applied to mulitphyscial phenomena such acoustic wave propagation, elasto-dynamic wave and surface wave propagation. We present in this work the space transformation applied to the heat equation. Throughout our study, we focus on the transformations leading to thermal invisibility cloaks and thermal concentrators. Those transformed devices are made of anisotropic heterogeneous materials which make them difficult to practically design. Therefore, we make use of the two-scale homogenization theory allowing to approach the behavior of those devices with an alternate set of isotropic materials. We systematically try to evaluate quantitatively the performance of our approximate devices by defining an effectiveness criterion to achieve high level of mthermal metamaterials engineering. We present a the end a model of a 50-layer carpet cloak whose first results are to be expected

Le travail de régulation concernait des réacteurs tubulaires en boucle, fonctionnant en phase liquide. Nous avons à partir des lois de conservation de masse et d'énergie, établis des modèles. Ces derniers étant nonlinéaires, nous avons utilisé des techniques de contrôle (linéarisation par bouclage) et d'observateur
(contraction) nonlinéaires, que nous avons installées sur les unités.
Ce projet nous a amené à réfléchir sur la manière dont on peut tenir compte des symétries d'un système pour élaborer des observateurs. Nous avons considéré le cas de systèmes invariants sous l'action de groupe de transformations: notre contribution réside dans la définition de la notion d'erreur invariante,ingrédient important dans la conception d'observateurs invariants. Nous décrivons ensuite un observateur asymptotique, localement convergent pour une classe de système Lagrangiens, qui a la propriété d'être intrinsèque tout comme le sont les équations d'Euler-Lagrange. Ces deux études remettent ainsi en perspective la notion d'erreur pour les systèmes nonlinéaires, en tenant compte de la géométrie qui structure ces systèmes.

Повний текст джерелаIn this thesis, we study rigid transformations in the context of computer imagery. In particular, we develop a fully discrete framework for handling such transformations. Rigid transformations, initially defined in the continuous domain, are involved in a wide range of digital image processing applications. In this context, the induced digital rigid transformations present different geometrical and topological properties with respect to their continuous analogues. In order to overcome the issues raised by these differences, we propose to formulate rigid transformations on digital images in a fully discrete framework. In this framework, Euclidean rigid transformations producing the same digital rigid transformation are put in the same equivalence class. Moreover, the relationship between these classes can be modeled as a graph structure. We prove that this graph has a polynomial space complexity with respect to the size of the considered image, and presents useful structural properties. In particular, it allows us to generate incrementally all digital rigid transformations without numerical approximation. This structure constitutes a theoretical tool to investigate the relationships between geometry and topology in the context of digital images. It is also interesting from the methodological point of view, as we illustrate by its use for assessing the topological behavior of images under rigid transformations

d'aborder de manière générale la description des propriétés en échelle
de problèmes physiques ou de signaux stochastiques. La notion d'échelle
pertinente est montrée être celle construite sur les décompositions de Mellin
et nous utilisons l'idée de la correspondance de Lamperti pour
étudier les propriétés des processus auto-similaires à l'aide des outils
de l'analyse du signal stationnaire. D'autre part l'outil est généralisé aux
situations non invariantes en échelle ou avec des invariances brisées,
et offre une correspondance généralisée avec les problèmes d'analyse
de signaux non stationnaires.
Des méthodes de représentation, de modélisation et d'analyses sont construites
de cette manière, en particulier les classes de représentations mixtes
temps-échelle. Nous étudions des situations spécifiques de brisure de
l'invariance en échelle incorporant les effets de taille finie, ou
une invariance seulement locale, et nous mettons l'accent sur la propriété
d'invariance en échelles discrètes stochastique que nous introduisons
comme correspondant en échelle à la cyclostationarité.
Parallèlement, la turbulence développée, dont les propriétés en échelle sont
un ingrédient important, a été abordée par l'angle des modèles fondés sur des
collections statistiques d'objets cohérents comme des vortex. Nous avançons
quelques réflexions sur la caractérisation de la signature de ces objets
structurés et avons spécifiquement examiné le modèle de vortex de Lundgren,
en cherchant à le formuler à l'aide des outils en échelle de Mellin.

However, his teaching has been in Italian high school programs for a long time and has been reintroduced since 2011 into French official programs. So how can we reintroduce this theory, which constitutes a part of contemporary physics in Tunisian official physics programs, at a time when Tunisia is in full education reform? In our research, we have developed a comparative study of the teaching of relativity through the official secondary programs in physics and philosophy, in France, Italy and Tunisia which are three Mediterranean countries of different scientific traditions, and on the contributions of philosophical discussions and the history of science from Albert Einstein's 1916 popularization of the various concepts of his theory such as: time, space, the notion of Galilean reference, the relativity, the invariance of celerity c of light emptiness or more generally the nature of a scientific theory. Thus we have exploited these contributions for pedagogical, epistemological and interdisciplinary purposes in the realization of a teaching sequence of the theory of special relativity with students of scientific terminale. Повний текст джерелаThe maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in four-dimensional Minkowski space is an exceptional model of mathematical physics. Even more so in the planar limit, where the theory is believed to be integrable. In particular, the tree-level scattering amplitudes were shown to be invariant under the Yangian of the superconformal algebra psu(2,2|4). This infinite-dimensional symmetry is a hallmark of integrability. In this dissertation we explore connections between these amplitudes and integrable models. Our aim is to lay foundations for an efficient integrability-based computation of amplitudes. To this end, we characterize Yangian invariants within the quantum inverse scattering method, which is an extensive toolbox for integrable spin chains. Making use of this setup, we develop methods for the construction of Yangian invariants. We show that the algebraic Bethe ansatz can be specialized to yield Yangian invariants for u(2). Our approach also allows to interpret these Yangian invariants as partition functions of vertex models. What is more, we establish a unitary Graßmannian matrix model for the construction of u(p,q|m) Yangian invariants with oscillator representations. In a special case our formula reduces to the Brezin-Gross-Witten model. We apply an integral transformation due to Bargmann to our unitary Graßmannian matrix model, which turns the oscillators into spinor helicity-like variables. Thereby we are led to a refined version of the Graßmannian integral formula for certain amplitudes. The most decisive differences are that we work in Minkowski signature and that the integration contour is fixed to be a unitary group manifold. We compare Yangian invariants defined by our integral to amplitudes and recently introduced deformations thereof.

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis begins with a general survey of different model based systems for object recognition. The advantage and disadvantage of those systems are discussed. A system is then selected for study because of its effective Affine invariant matching [Ref. 1] characteristic. This system involves two separate phases, the modeling and the recognition. One is done off-line and the other is done on-line. A Hashing technique is implemented to achieve fast accessing and voting. Different test data sets are used in experiments to illustrate the recognition capabilities of this system. This demonstrates the capabilities of partial match, recognizing objects under similarity transformation applied to the models, and the results of noise perturbation. The testing results are discussed, and related experiences and recommendations are presented.

Повний текст джерелаIn this work, we study the essentially isolated determinantal singularities (EIDS). This type of singularities is a natural generalization of isolated ones. A generic determinantal variety $M_{m,n}^t$ is a subset of the space of mxn matrices, given by matrices of rank less than t, where t≤m≤n. A variety X is determinantal if X is defined as the pre-image of $M_{m,n}^t$ by a holomorphic function $F:\mathbb{C}^N \to M$ with the condition $codim X=codim M_{m,n}^t$.Several recent works investigate determinantal variety with isolated singularities and they are difened the Milnor number and the vanishing Euler characteristic.In this work we study the set of limits of tangent hyperplanes to surface in $\mathbb{C}^4$ and 3-variety in $\mathbb{C}^5$ to give a characterization of this set by the fact that the Milnor number of its section with the surface in the first case or the 3-dimensional determinantal variety in the second case is not minimum. We also prove that if X is a d- dimensional EIDS and H and H' are strongly general hyperplans, if $P \subset H$ and $P'\subset H'$ are d-2 linear plans, the Milnor number of the generic surfaces are equal.We study the Nash transformation of an EIDS and give sufficient conditions for this transformation to be smooth.Another aim of our study is the Euler obstruction of essentially isolated determinantal singularities. We obtain inductive formulas associating the Euler obstruction with the vanishing Euler characteristic of the essencial smoothing of their generic sections

Eine besondere Herausforderung stellen in diesem Zusammenhang Systeme dar, die durch die spontane Vernetzung einzelner Cyber-Physical-Systeme entsprechend der lokalen, topologischen Gegebenheiten, verfügbarer Netzwerkfähigkeiten und der Anforderungen und Beschränkungen der Teilsysteme, die durch den informationsverabeitenden Teil vorgegeben sind, entstehen. In diesem Bericht stellen wir einen Formalismus vor, der die Modellierung der eingangs skizzierten Systeme erlaubt. Ein auf UML aufbauender Graph-Transformations-Ansatz wird genutzt, um die spontane Bildung eng kooperierender Teilsysteme beliebiger Größe zu spezifizieren. Differentialgleichungen beschreiben das kombinierte Verhalten auf physikalischer Ebene. In Kombination ergeben diese beiden Formalismen hybride Graph-Transformations-Systeme, in denen die Graph-Transformationen diskrete Schritte und die Differentialgleichungen das kontinuierliche, physikalische Verhalten des Systems beschreiben. Zusätzlich, präsentieren wir die Erweiterung einer automatischen Analysetechnik zur Verifikation induktiver Invarianten, die bereits für zeitbehaftete Systeme bekannt ist, auf den ausdrucksstärkeren Fall der hybriden Modelle.

Повний текст джерелаThe quality of the segmentation process directly affects the performance of the shape recognition. Despite the progress that has been made, it is often unreachable to segment the entire object (i.e. closed contour). In fact, only some parts/fragments of objects can be detected. We first develop a new alignment method based on Procrustes analysis in order to ensure invariance of shape parts to geometric transformations (translation, rotation and scale factor). The proposed method consists in finding optimal extremities which minimize the Procrustes distance. Then, we propose a shape part recognition approach and a partial shape recognition approach. These two contour-based approaches are based on matching between shape parts to compare. This matching process consists in establishing a robust registration between shape parts based on geodesics in the shape space. Thus, we exploit the registration residual to define a novel distance for shape part recognition. Later, for partial shape recognition, we describe a geodesics-based combining strategy with the same distance. As well, we propose to use the geodesics distance proposed for shape part recognition to define a global distance for entire shape recognition. Experiments are carried out on parts of shapes and entire shapes of theMPEG-7 database, then on parts issued from segmented real images. The obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed recognition schemes. The proposed approaches are shown to significantly outperform previous works for classification and retrieval applications

Повний текст джерелаIn this thesis we study the extrinsic geometry of smooth surfaces in R4 via their contact with lines and hyperplanes. Uribe-Vargas introduced a cr-invariant (crossratio) at a cusp of Gauss of a surface in R3. For a surface in R4, the point P3(c) has similar behavior to that of a cusp of Gauss of a surface in R3. We establish in this thesis cross-ratio invariants for surfaces in R4 in an analogous way to Uribe- Vargass work for surfaces in R3. We study the geometric locii of local and multilocal singularities of ortogonal projections of the surface and classify the k-jets of parametrizations of germs of surfaces in the projection space P4 given in Monge form by projective transformations. The cross-ratio invariants at P3(c) points are used to recover two moduli in the 4-jet of the projective parametrization of the surfaces.

The thesis aims at beinc comprehensive regarding this topic; it sets forth the individual, organizational, and social aspect. Consequently, we take into account the social trajectories of lcr members, the work of the militant institution and the effects of social context on the two previous dimensions. We use a longitudinal method. "participating observation", bibliographics interviews and the collection of documents belonging to the studied organization are the bases of dur analysis. The research lays emphasis on the strong impact of the evolutions of the social and political contexts, especially the differents forms of social strife, on the militancy in the lcr. These elements have influence on the reasons why peuple join or leave the lcr, on the political practices and on the scope of the lcr activities. At the same time, the way lcr activists militate, driven by an avant-gardist vocation show many constancies. Elective and distinctive logics that make certain of a cohesion transcending the effects of the context are part of the explanation of these constancies. So as to understand the latter, we analyse the social and individual features of the lcr militants

Повний текст джерелаIn this thesis, we propose a new image registration method that relies on level-line primitives. Level-lines are robust towards contrast changes and proposed primitives inherit their robustness. Moreover, their abundance in the image is well adapted to a cumulative matching process based on a multi-stage primitive election procedure. We propose a simple recursive tracking algorithm to extract level lines by straight sets called "segments". Segments are then grouped under proximity constraints to construct primitives (Z, Y and W shapes) that are classified into categories according to their reliability. Primitive shapes are defined according to the transformation model. The cumulative process is based on a preliminary step of preference lists construction that is inspired from the stable marriage matching algorithm. Primitives vote in a given voting stage according to their reliability. Each stage provides a coarse estimate of the transformation that the next stage gets to refine. This process, in turn, eliminate gradually the ambiguity happened by incorrect correspondences. Our additional contribution is to validate further geometric transformations, from simple to complex ones, completing the path "similarity, affine, projective". We show in this thesis how the choice of level lines in conjunction with a cumulative decision process allows defining a complete robust registration approach that is tested and evaluated on several real image sequences including different type of transformations

Повний текст джерелаThis Ph. D. Contributes to the subject of indexing and pattern recognition in an image database constituted of object contours, by the use of local invariant descriptions. Our approach allows to recognize objects, even if they are partially occluded or observed at different viewpoints, since it is based on a local and invariant characterization of contours. One of the fundamental problems of indexing an image database resides in the choice of the invariant description of the image. Indeed, it is agreed that the request never corresponds exactly to the research image, affine transformations can separate them. Hence the description of the contour has a possess invariance properties so as to confer robustness to the recognition system. A general framework allowing to unify different local descriptions has been elaborated. This unification lead us propose two invariant descriptions with respect to affine transformations: the first one is based on points of interest of curves and the second one on the multi-scale analysis contours. Invariant descriptions, proposed in this work, have been applied to retrieval of objects-contours in image database. First of all, we have proposed a solution to the problem of object retrieval by sketch. The user draws his request on a graphic interface: the request image is made of a contour on uniform background. Then, its description by multi-scale curvatures allows to extract indexes. Finally, to undertake a rapid retrieving from a large image database, a mechanism of indexing based on the geometric hashing has been developed

Chapter 4, 5 and 6 discusses three different suggestions how to approach the problem. Each chapter begins with a section of experiments as a motivation of the approach. Then follows some theory and mathematical manipulations to structure the thoughts. The last sections contains discussions and suggestions concerning the approach.
Finally chapter 7 contains a summary and a comparismental discussion of the approaches.

Consideramos dois métodos, chamados transformações de Darboux e Bäcklund, para geração de soluções solitonicas no modelo integrável de Tzitzéica. No contexto de modelos com defeitos, tratamos estas transformações e percebemos que elas estão escondidas no sistema sob a forma de condições sobre o defeito. Por fim, usando as profundas relações entre teorias clássicas de superfícies e solitons, mostramos que os métodos de Bäcklund e Darboux estão intimimamente relacionadas com a clássica transformação de Tzitzéica
We consider two methods, called Darboux and Bäcklund transformations, for generating of solitonic solutions in the Tzitzéica integrable model.
