Background: The indigenous people are socially, linguistically, and scientifically diverse. A global trend leads us to the notion that primitive women are somewhat less privileged than non-tribal mothers around the world. This problem also sounds true in the context of Bangladesh. A competent birth attendant at birth is the most important intervention for pregnant women. However, the use of skilled birth attendants has been widely discriminated among tribal and non-tribal women. Objective: This study assesses SBA acceptance and utilization barriers during childbirth among Bangladesh tribal women. Method: A quantitative approach was employed, and the data were collected via questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square ( ) χ 2 tests and Binary Logistic Regression were used to analyze the frequency, relationship, and to determine tribal women seeking the services of SBA during childbirth. Results: The results showed that the highest prevalence of delivery (66%) among tribal women occurred at home. 46% of the mothers gave birth to their children with the assistance of a skilled birth attendant, of which 12% of them were at home, and 34% were in the hospital. The remaining 54% of mothers gave birth to their babies with the assistance of a traditional midwife. Results also show that socio-economic conditions, education of women, distance from health care facilities, family planning, husbands’ occupation, and media exposure are the key determinants in pursuing SBA. Conclusion: The study revealed a low prevalence of utilizing skilled birth attendance among tribal women of Bangladesh. Hence, upgrading socio-economic conditions and boosting the education levels of tribal women, ensuring easy access to the media, and launching short-term training to train typical birth attendants are the key recommendations for seeking expert birth attendants.

Abstract The movement or activities that take place in an area will undoubtedly be impacted by how developed it is. The city of Semarang experiences the same thing. With such high mobility, transportation modalities and related services are necessary. In Semarang City, there are two train stations: Tawang Station and Poncol Station. The purpose of this study is to measure the effect of motorcycle parking attendants on station parking spaces. The measurement is based on descriptive statistics on parking space unit’s width. Tawang Station has parking attendants, and Poncol Station does not. A primary survey was conducted at the Poncol and Tawang station. The survey calculating the number of active cars and the area utilised during peak, early, and late hours. Google Maps were used to predict peak hour. The presence of parking attendants shows 120% more effective than without parking attendants. Moreover on averagethe width, and degree of saturation are 106% and 110% respectively better than standard.

The development of equipment and technology of train operation, railway automation systems and new methods of train driving open the way for further intensification of train operation, reducing the time spent on standard operation procedures. Virtual coupling allows you to reduce a train-to-train interval. Automated schedules of the executed movement record performance of train operation, automate the formation of a train-dispatcher’s reports and delivery of orders to station attendants, allow timely detection of the causes of train delays and take appropriate measures. The points of growth in traffic intensity and volume could be in enhancing the level of intelligence of automation and telemechanics systems. Modern dispatch and electrical centralized systems contain archiving subsystems that store prompt train operation conditions and operator orders. But such data is used only when analyzing emergency situations - there is no systematic analysis of archive information to find hidden patterns and extract knowledge useful for optimizing the transportation process. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating the current train operation load of a railway station, and provide relative criteria for evaluating the actual load and algorithms for determining their numerical values. The analysis of the time series of the proposed criteria obtained for a single station equipped with a relay-processor centralized system is carried out. The analysis indicated a weekly cycle of train operation load of a station with good repeatability. The fact of reducing the speed of trains before the input signal in the through-pass routes with a preset route was revealed. Smoothing out the identified irregularities can positively affect the carrying capacity of a railway section as a whole.

PurposeDrawing from servant leadership (SL) and social exchange theories, our study investigates trust in organization (TIO) as a mediator of the impact of SL on job, career and life satisfaction.Design/methodology/approachA time-lagged survey design was used to gather data from flight attendants in Turkey. Structural equation modeling was used as the main analytic tool to assess these relationships.FindingsThe relationships proposed in the authors’ study receive full support from the empirical data. Specifically, TIO is one of the immediate outcomes of SL that engenders job, career and life satisfaction at elevated levels. The results highlight the impacts of job and career satisfaction in the intermediate linkage between SL and life satisfaction.Practical implicationsManagement should train managerial employees to enhance the understanding of SL, which boosts flight attendants’ TIO. Management should invest in human resources through training and empowerment. This makes flight attendants perceive that management does not violate psychological contract. Such employees develop TIO that in turn engenders higher job, career and life satisfaction. It is also important to reward servant leaders when they succeed in making flight attendants develop TIO and motivating them to have higher job performance.Originality/valueLittle is known about the consequences of SL in the extant service research. More importantly, there are still calls for research about the variables (e.g. TIO) mediating the relationship between SL and employee satisfaction outcomes.

The created situational information and training model will enable operational and management personnel to reduce to a minimum the time spent searching for the desired route and preparing it, reduce or eliminate train delays at input signals, and increase the safety of train traffic.The purpose of the study is to develop an algorithm of measures that will allow us to develop specific practical solutions to improve the technology of operation of railway stations in the event of failure of existing railway automation and telemechanics systems.The use of the situational information and training model ‟Managing route switches” together with the developed ‟Route Tables”, adapted for various extracurricular railway stations, will help eliminate mistakes by station attendants when preparing routes and reduce time spent on these operations.The need to improve the technology of operation of railway stations is indicated by creating a universal software package that allows training of operational and management personnel at stations, supervising the station duty officer in preparing routes in the event of failure of existing railway automation and telemechanics systems.Practical significance — reduction of defects in work in conditions of faulty operation of signaling, centralization and blocking devices, increasing the safety of train traffic.

The article focusses on the medicalisation of procreation promoted by the colonial governement in Transjordan and on the consequent transformation of birth practices in the local society. It specifically investigates the impact of public health policies on colonised women’s lives considering the ways the former changed local procreation practices and the new life trajectories they elicited for the women who chose to train as birth attendants. Transjordanian midwives and nurses trained in the newly imposed biomedical system became at the same time objects and agents of social change contributing in the long term to the transformation of birth, parenting and family representations.

As the project sought to foster indigenous self-sufficiency, the government Indian bureau, Fundaçaão Nacional do Índio (FUNAI) would deploy a team of technicians, agronomists, educators, and health care officials to train Xavante as agriculturists, machine operators, health care attendants, and bilingual teaching monitors. Under the administration of General Ismarth Araújo de Oliveira, FUNAI initially earmarked CR$8,635,207 for the Xavante Project and established a special coordinating unit in Barra do Garças, Mato Grosso, the Ajudância Autônoma de Barra do Garças (AJABAG).

Introduction: Hospital waste has been reported to be poorly handled and managed by the hospital staff and administration respectively, leading to environmental and health consequences within hospitals and to the population outside health facilities. Aim: To assess the knowledge and practice of healthcare waste management (HCWM) among healthcare workers at Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital (YDMH), Kaduna, Nigeria. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted amongst doctors, nurses, medical laboratory scientists and technicians, ward attendants, and cleaners at YDMH. A simple random sampling technique was used to select the study unit. A total of 73 health workers consented to an interview. The data was obtained through the administration of questionnaires on the knowledge of health workers while the practice was assessed by direct observation using a checklist. Data were collected and compiled using Microsoft Excel and analysed using IBM, SPSS version 23.0. Results: There were 39 (53.4%) males and 34 (46.4%) females in this study. The average age of participants was 36.8 ± 8.3 years. The study revealed good knowledge of waste management amongst nurses (88.18%), doctors (86.68%), medical laboratory scientists and technicians (77.48%), ward attendants (19.1%), and cleaners (17.5%), respectively. In practice, all the wards and departments observed do not have (0%) colour-coded plastic bags on their waste bins, with only 70% having their waste bins covered, 30% having posters to guide waste users displayed near the waste bins, and 0% waste treatment before disposal practice. The health facility’s method of final waste disposal is not in line with best practices. Conclusion: This study highlights the discrepancy and inadequacies of knowledge and practice of proper healthcare waste management among healthcare workers. The healthcare workers with adequate knowledge were the nurses, doctors, and medical laboratory scientists and technicians while the least knowledge was found amongst ward attendants and cleaners. The practice of healthcare waste management was poor across all professions. This calls for the need to train and retrain all health workers with emphasis on the ward attendants and cleaners. Also, there is a need for the provision of colour-coded waste bin liners in all wards and departments which should be adequately budgeted for by the management.

Crew scheduling of the passenger dedicated line is the daily work plan of train attendants, and crew scheduling problem is one of the key problems of the train crew management. Considering the actual condition of China's railway and crew rules, a crew scheduling model is established in this paper to minimize rest time between two consecutive shifts in all roundtrips. In order to solve the scheduling model, in this paper a serial-parallel ant colony optimization algorithm (SP-ACO) is provided. The SP-ACO proposed two improvements: (1) a serial-parallel ant grouping strategy, it means that we let every group of ants find the solution one group by one group for reflecting the positive feedback in a generation; (2) the transition method based on the roulette wheel selection, it means that we randomly select between the certain search and the roulette wheel to make the diversity of solutions for avoiding all ants toward the same part of the search space. Finally, two application cases of the scheduling model are represented. The two cases results show that the methods can not only automatically set roundtrips, but also decrease the number of roundtrips, and the results also show that the feasibility of model and the validity of improved ant colony algorithm for crew scheduling.

Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) was piloted in 2009 as a program targeted to reduce neonatal mortality (NM). The program has morphed into a suite of programs termed Helping Babies Survive that includes Essential Care for Every Baby. Since 2010, the HBB and Helping Babies Survive training programs have been taught to >850 000 providers in 80 countries. Initial HBB training is associated with a significant improvement in knowledge and skills. However, at refresher training, there is a knowledge-skill gap evident, with a falloff in skills. Accumulating evidence supports the role for frequent refresher resuscitation training in facilitating skills retention. Beyond skill acquisition, HBB has been associated with a significant reduction in early NM (<24 hours) and fresh stillbirth rates. To evaluate the large-scale impact of the growth of skilled birth attendants, we analyzed NM rates in sub-Saharan Africa (n = 11) and Nepal (as areas of growing HBB implementation). All have revealed a consistent reduction in NM at 28 days between 2009 and 2018; a mean reduction of 5.34%. The number of skilled birth attendants, an indirect measure of HBB sustained rollout, reveals significant correlation with NM, fresh stillbirth, and perinatal mortality rates, highlighting HBB’s success and the need for continued efforts to train frontline providers. A novel live newborn resuscitation trainer as well as a novel app (HBB Prompt) have been developed, increasing knowledge and skills while providing simulation-based repeated practice. Ongoing challenges in sustaining resources (financial and other) for newborn programming emphasize the need for innovative implementation strategies and training tools.

Background: The health-workers working in emergency area need better training to handle emergency patients with sincerity and accurate clinical skills. So, it is imperative to train them on simulation models and prepare them to perform their duties with better skills and higher confidence.Methods: A structured course named as Dr. RMLIMS Emergency and Trauma-Basic Course (DrRMLIMS ET-BC), was designed to effectively train the resident doctors from different departments, nursing staff (pool A) and other health-workers, ancillary staff and security persons (pool B) posted in the casualty and emergency wards. Pool A underwent pretest to ascertain basic knowledge. Post-test questionnaire was taken after training. Predesigned google forms were used for feedback. Pool B underwent counselling and motivating sessions about the sense of team, role of leader and effective communication. Direct observation, officer in-charge’s feedback, buddy feedbacks, patient’s attendants’ feedbacks and self-appraisal were done for evaluation. Paired t test was applied on pool A pretest and post-test scores to evaluate the change in the knowledge.Results: Pool A shows a pre-test mean of 37.83±0.92 (approximately 39%) which improved significantly to 72.16±0.90 post training (p value=0.0000). Pool B revealed significant positive change in the attitude, behavior and sense of team and responsibility.Conclusions: This study shows that this training is an adequate training programme to teach the basics emergency and trauma skills and been successful in increasing knowledge, despite the variations in the vision of different subject specialities.

Background: Uganda, like much of Sub-Saharan Africa and other underserved regions continues to face the challenge of high neonatal and maternal mortality. The Helping Babies Survive (HBS) course and the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) provide hands on education to train providers in key life-saving interventions. A uterine balloon tamponade (UBT) procedure can be life-saving in the event of uterine bleeding. The purpose of this implementation research is to gain more insight into the effectiveness of a tailored down 5-day combined HBS-ALSO-UBT course. In this study, we found that a tailored down 5-day combined HBS-ALSO-UBT could be performed with significantly improved self-assessment in diagnosing and managing a wide range of peripartum conditions.Keywords: Neonatal; Perinatal Care; Maternal Morbidity.

Introduction: The burden of adverse perinatal and maternal outcomes is still unacceptably high in low- and middle-income countries. Although much is known on the risk factors, very little is known about specific aspects in Lamu County. This is compounded by the fact that the maternal mortality ratio in Lamu almost doubles the national rate. This study was aimed at providing a framework to assess the probable risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes in the County following both hospital and home deliveries. Methodology: Study design: Comparative cross-sectional study. Setting: Lamu County, both home and hospital deliveries. Study population: Female residents of Lamu County interviewed within a month of data collection, having delivered in the year 2017 at gestation age of ≥28 weeks and age ≥14 years. Sample size: Using Fleiss formula for comparative cross-sectional study; the sample size was approximated to be 400 participants after adjusting for attrition. Data collection and management: Data were collected using a questionnaire by trained research assistants, and entered into an Excel spreadsheet. Data analysis: Analysis was done using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20. Relevant tests of significance were applied. Results: The most prevalent adverse obstetric outcomes were post-partum hemorrhage (PPH) requiring transfusion of at least 2 units of blood and preterm births. PPH was more common following home delivery. Pre-existing medical conditions, other obstetric emergencies (OR 128.17, CI 14.88 – 110.4, p< 0.001) and long distance were associated with adverse obstetric outcomes. There was no significant difference in the prevalence of adverse outcomes between home and hospital deliveries (OR 0.94, C.I 0.55-1.61, p= 0.812). Conclusion: Multiple factors are associated with adverse obstetric outcomes in Lamu. There is a need to: raise awareness on the need for greater facility-based skilled birth attendance; build capacity of facilities to provide comprehensive emergency obstetric care and to train traditional birth attendants to become ambassadors for early referral.

This article focuses on the shared history of Frankfurt Zoological Garden and Airport, developing an infrastructural perspective on the rise of behavioral thinking in postwar environmental sciences. It shows that technical and logistical environments, such as seaports, airports, train stations, and highways, shaped the way environmental scientists and a broader public conceptualized animal behavior. Similar to ergonomics and human factor engineering in the 1950s and ’60s, human-made spaces and interiors became central reference points for developing and testing new ideas on the interaction between animals and “the environment.” Further, airports were sites of knowledge transfer between practitioners, including animal traders, care attendants, veterinarians, logistics experts, and scientists. The first part of the article draws on the works of biologist and Frankfurt’s Zoo director Bernhard Grzimek, who made excessive use of air cargo to ship wild animals to Frankfurt. The second part traces the emergence of new spaces for animals at Frankfurt Airport in the 1950s—such as the “animal room” in the cargo area. The third part of the article uncovers the hidden networks of animal traders and shipping companies that made Frankfurt Airport a major international hub in animal air cargo. Lastly, the article argues that hands-on experience of animal behavior, such as that conducted in airports like Frankfurt, is part of a broader pattern of environmental knowledge production in in the twentieth century—in close proximity to infrastructure projects.

Introduction Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures (PNES) refer to the dissociative condition which resembles seizures but does not involve epileptic synchronous cortical activity (Huff, 2021). 20% of people visiting epilepsy clinics have PNES (Huff, 2021). Depression, anxiety, and personality disorders predispose towards PNES (Ekanayake, 2018). Objectives To present a case of PNES in a patient with dependent personality disorder (DPD) and to discuss the sociocultural aspects. Methods A case study. Results A 23-years old, married female presented with 20 days history of episodes of ‘falling down, rolling on ground, and involuntary movements of her head.’ The episodes typically lasted from 20-25 minutes. During the episodes, patient closed her eyes but remained conscious and expressed her distress with gestures, and tearfulness was also observed. Her condition improved when she was offered water. The clinical picture of these episodes evolved with time. Her EEG and serum prolactin levels following the episodes were normal. Accordingly, a diagnosis of PNES was made. No acute stressor was present. The patient also fulfilled the criteria of Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD) (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). During communication with the patient, it appeared that the patient and her attendants perceived the train of questioning as investigational rather than therapeutic. Efforts were made towards a more empathetic understanding of their point of view, and the tailoring of long-term management in accordance with their sociocultural context. Conclusions The socio-cultural context is important in the management of PNES and a sensitive, and collaborative approach is recommended. Assessment of personality should be considered in patients presenting with PNES. Disclosure No significant relationships.

The number of accidents at level railway crossings, especially crossings without gate barriers/attendants, is still very high due to technical problems, driving culture, and human error. The aim of this research is to provide road maps application based on ergonomic visual displays design that can increase awareness level for drivers before crossing railway crossings. The double awareness driving (DAD) map information system was built based on the waterfall method, which has 4 steps: defining requirements, system and software design, unit testing, and implementation. User needs to include origin-destination location, geolocation, distance & travel time, directions, crossing information, and crossing notifications. The DAD map application was tested using a usability test to determine the ease of using the application used the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire and an Electroencephalogram (EEG) test to determine the increase in concentration in drivers before and immediately crossing a railway crossing. Periodically, the application provides information on the driving zone being passed; green zone for driving distances > 500 m to the crossing, the yellow zone for distances 500m to 100m, and the red zone for distances < 100 m. The DAD map also provides information on the position and speed of the nearest train that will cross the railway crossing. The usability test for 10 respondents giving SUS score = 97.5 (satisfaction category) with a time-based efficiency value = 0.29 goals/s, error rate = 0%, and a success rate of 93.33%. The cognitive ergonomic testing via Electroencephalogram (EEG) produced a focus level of 21.66%. Based on the results of DAD map testing can be implemented to improve the safety of level railroad crossings in an effort to reduce the number of driving accidents.

COVID-19 has swept the world for more than one year. Public transport, especially railway passenger transport for long distance and extensive areas, is the most potential risk source of the pandemic. In railway passenger transport, real-name train ticket check can effectively track the propagation path of the pandemic, which is of most significance for spread prevention of COVID-19. In this study, the evaluation index system of real-name check of ticket in trains was first established, in which 22 indexes in 4 levels were included, and their weights were determined by the Method of Kantiray Weighting. Furthermore, a comprehensive evaluation model of real-name system check was proposed, in which normalized work of different indexes was done, and key factors affecting the evaluation were founded. Finally, typical data of 8 trains check were collected, and from the evaluation analysis, we can find out that most factors affecting results of real-name ticket check are attendant management, train organization level, train service, and real-name ticket check proportion, based on which corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are given oriented to short-, medium-, and long-distance trains, respectively, all of which can reduce the risk of pandemic propagation in railway system.

Introduction: Assessing mothers’ satisfaction with maternal health service is very important. This is because it is critical and should be considered when making maternal health services more responsive to people’s needs. Objective: To assess and compare the maternal health service satisfaction of mothers in urban and rural areas of Enugu State, South East Nigeria. Methodology: This study was a community-based comparative, cross sectional study that assessed and compared the maternal health service satisfaction of mothers in urban and rural areas of Enugu State, South East Nigeria. The analysis was done according to the specific objectives using generated tables, ratios, frequency, percentage calculations and cross tabulations. Chi-square test of significance for test of comparison of qualitative categorical data, Student t-test for group comparison of means, Bi-variant, and Multivariate Analysis using logistic regression were used in the analysis of data at 95% confidence interval. P-value was set at 0.05. Results: 5.5% of mothers in the urban areas were satisfied with maternal health service they received when compared to mothers (79.2%) in the rural areas. Mothers in urban areas who had one pregnancy were 7.051 times less likely to be satisfied with the maternal health services when compared with other women. Mothers who obtained maternal health service from health post, Primary health care centres (PHC), district hospitals, tertiary facility, private hospital, and had less education were more satisfied with the services when compared with those who received care from Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) and spiritual homes. According to the mothers in both locations, the Factors that affect their utilization of maternal health include poor quality of maternal health service, high cost of obtaining the limited services, inadequate maternal information, in adequate staff, and bad attitude of health care workers attending to them. Conclusion/Recommendation: There is need to maintain this observed finding. However, there should be an improvement on health talk and health education given to mothers, to enable them have a better perception of their maternal expectations. This will enable the mothers to properly grade their satisfaction with maternal health services. Government should further train the health care workers including TBAs, and closely monitor the activities of spiritual homes.

The paper presents the requirements, architecture and important features of a modern IT system of logistics for rail transport. The purpose of the system is to provide logistic support of transport issues relating to the work performed in the sectors of transport and maintenance of railway enterprises. In particular, special attention was paid to optimization problems of strategic and operational planning applying modern optimization algorithms. System architecture, the basic functional modules and their relationship are presented as an example of the system used by the Polish rail operators, engaged in the transport of both passenger and freight. The system is characterized by centralized architecture, divided into an application server, a database server and a terminals server. The system takes full advantage of modern mobile technologies. The study outlines basic logistics processes implemented in the system, among others,: planning of transport using background maps and a scheme of railway network, records of vehicles and employees, allocation of transport work for individual units, planning cycles of vehicles and trains, scheduling work for vehicles, train driver crews and train attendant teams, creating work schedules, short-term and long-term dispatches, verification and accounting of the work time, accounting transport and train drivers performance.

A improvised solution for the Indian Railways' human level crossing controls and the attendant reliability issues they cause. In our nation, level crossings have been the scene of several train accidents. So far, there have been zero productive actions. Using an infrared (IR) detector and an audible alert, the proposed system automatically opens and closes level crossing gates based on when trains approach or depart from the crossing. However, it's possible that a car may become stuck between the pedestrian crossing barriers if they're automated. Here, an ultrasonic sensor may identify the obstruction between the crossing gates, and an Internet of Things (IoT) module would inform the train of the situation. When a train approaches or departs from a railroad crossing, infrared sensors detect its presence and alert an Arduino-UNO, which then commands the gates to open or close using a little servomotor stationed nearby. Using the Node MCU and GPS navigational technology, this system also aims to reduce latency in detecting combustion attacks within the compartment. The resulting section of this paper proves the proposed work efficiency by means of graphically illustrates the following metrics such as: human detection accuracy, gate closing efficiency, alerting system efficiency and data storage efficiency.

Background: This exploration design, with a case study of COPEDU PLC, aimed to assess the influence of credit risk assessment practices on the financial performance of COPEDU PLC in Rwanda. This exploration design was structured around three specific objects originally, to estimate the influence of customer financial status analysis on the financial performance of COPEDU PLC in Rwanda secondly, to examine the effect of the 5Cs of credit on the financial performance of COPEDU PLC in Rwanda and eventually, to assess the influence of credit risk on the financial performance of COPEDU PLC in Rwanda. Materials and Methods: To achieve the exploration objects, a descriptive and correlation exploration design was used. Data was collected through a combination of both quantitative and qualitative styles, exercising interview attendants and questionnaires. Using tale approach in the slice process, an exploration population of comprising of staff population of 65 at COPEDU PLC headquarters were all be regarded as the sample size. Results: The collected data presented compelling findings grounded on numerical data. specially, the analysis of COPEDU PLCs financial pointers revealed positive comprehensions, with crucial numbers similar as a mean credit score of4.49(SD = 0.75) and a mean debt- to- income rate of4.51(SD = 0.73). These pointers demonstrated a predominant agreement among repliers, with49.23 agreeing on the significance of credit scores and47.69 admitting the significance of the debt- to- income rate. The study also explored the relationship between the 5Cs of Credit and financial performance, revealing specific numbers similar as a mean score of4.35 (SD = 1.15) for collateral and4.42 (SD = 1.13) for capacity. In addition, effective credit risk operation strategies were quantified, with mean probabilities indicating strong agreement (SA) from41.85 of repliers on diversifying the loan portfolio and46.15 on effective loan recovery strategies. The correlation analysis further stressed a robust relationship, with a Pearson Correlation measure of0.894 (p- value = .000), italicizing the statistical significance of the positive association between credit risk assessment practices and the financial performance of microfinance institutions. Conclusion:The exploration study concludes grounding of the findings revealed that COPEDU PLCs credit risk assessment practices significantly impact financial performance, with repliers feting the significanceof crucial financial pointers and the 5Cs of credit. In addition, those effective risk operation strategiesare pivotalfor financial success. still, the study recommends microfinance institutions to upgradecredit riskassessment criteria, train staff on the 5Cs of credit, diversify loan portfolios, ameliorate loan recovery strategies, establish a methodical review process, and invest in technology results to enhance credit risk operationand financial sustainability. Eventually, the study made suggestions for farther exploration on credit risk operation in microfinance institutions, including assayingindividual financial pointers, comparing practices across institutions, assessing risk operation strategies, and tracking long- term goodson financial sustainability and growth. It also suggests comparing variations in credit risk assessment practices and enforcing effective recovery strategies.

In a large sample of adult Americans, we examined trait narcissism among those who identify as nonreligious, traditionally religious, or “spiritual but not religious” (SBNR). Our study reveals that: 1) those who identify as traditionally religious and those who identify as SBNR exhibit fairly similar levels of narcissism; 2) contrary to conventional wisdom, nonreligious Americans are lower in narcissism than religious/spiritual Americans (with nonreligious individuals particularly lower in the NPI subscales of self-absorption/self-admiration); and 3) higher levels of church attendance are not associated with lower NPI scores, though higher levels of church attendance are associated with higher NPI scores in SBNR individuals.

This study investigated the factors related to the perception of stress in EMT’s and paramedics. 144 EMTs and paramedics from urban “third service” EMS providers in Texas completed a questionnaire that included several demographic questions, Speilberger’s (1995) state-trait personality inventory (STPI), Sarason’s (1983) social support questionnaire, and Schwarzer’s (2000) general perceived self-efficacy scale. Six of the eight SPTI measures served as a measure of perceived stress. They were state and trait anxiety, state and trait anger, and state and trait depression. Education was negatively correlated with state anxiety (r=-0.274, p=0.001), state anger (r=-0.217, p=0.009), state depression (r=-0.231, p=0.006), and trait anxiety (r=-0.2058, p=0.014). Since years of education was related to stress and somewhat related to self-efficacy (r=0.17, p=0.042) a partial correlation procedure (controlled for years of education) was performed for self-efficacy (GPSES) and the stress variables. Self-efficacy was negatively correlated with state anxiety (r=-0.312, p=0.0001), state anger (r=-0.194, p=0.021), state depression (r=-0.339, p=0.0001), trait anxiety (r=-0.436, p=0.0001), and trait depression (r=-0.3762, p=0.0001). Understanding environmental predictors of women’s use of closest breast screening venue versus other site(s) may assist optimal venue placement. This study assessed relationships between residential-area sociodemographic measures, venue location features, and women’s use of closest versus other venues. Data of 320,672 Greater Sydney screening attendees were spatially joined to residential state suburbs (SSCs) (n = 799). SSC-level sociodemographic measures included proportions of: women speaking English at home; university-educated; full-time employed; and dwellings with motor-vehicles. A geographic information system identified each woman’s closest venue to home, and venue co-location with bus-stop, train-station, hospital, general practitioner, and shop(s). Multilevel logistic models estimated associations between environmental measures and closest venue attendance. Attendance at closest venue was 59.4%. Closest venue attendance was positively associated with SSC-level women speaking English but inversely associated with SSC-level women university-educated, full-time employed, and dwellings with motor-vehicles. Mobile venue co-location with general practitioner and shop was positively, but co-location with bus-stop and hospital was inversely associated with attendance. Attendance was positively associated with fixed venue co-location with train-station and hospital but inversely associated with venue co-location with bus-stop, general practitioner, and shop. Program planners should consider these features when optimising service locations to enhance utilisation. Some counterintuitive results necessitate additional investigation.

Purpose: The main objective of this study was to explore the factors that influence the place of delivery for women of reproductive age in Narok South Sub County. Methodology: The study adapted a descriptive, cross sectional study design which focused on all women of reproductive age who delivered at home after antenatal hospital care visits in the last 24 months. The research was completed in Narok South Sub County, Narok County in Kenya. The target populace included all women with children below two years of age who gave birth at home yet attended antenatal care visits in a health facility in Narok North Sub-County. The study population included all women of reproductive age which were in the age bracket of 15 and 49 years from Narok south sub-county in Narok County. The study adapted two sampling techniques (purposive sampling and simple random sampling) first, purposive sampling was used to obtain women who have had delivered in the last 24 months and also key informants like TBAs and community elders. A sample of 30% of the targeted population was selected; this is coherent with the proposition by Mugenda and Mugenda (2009) that 30% of the population is deemed to be sufficient for statistical analysis in research. A semi structured questionnaire was utilized to gather data. The study utilized primary data only. The primary data was collected through semi structured questionnaires by visiting households with women of reproductive age who gave birth in the last 24 months in a non- hospital set up. Data was analyzed using excel and statistical package for social sciences SPSS version 22.0. Findings: The study found that emergencies during delivery are well handled in a hospital setup and will greatly improve delivery outcome, the health of the mother and baby. The extended walking distance nearest health facility, the lesser the expectation of mothers to make use of skilled and trained delivery service. The absence of trouble-free transportation service to the nearest health facility is also an essential significant convolution. Source of information on reproductive health matters and more so about pregnancy, labor, and place of delivery can highly influence decision-making on the place of giving birth. Majority of women in rural areas receive advice on reproductive health matters from their 'mothers-in-law and extended family members. When pregnant mothers attend ANC they are taught about delivery and how to prepare for it. Recommendations: County Education officers in liaison with social development officers to promote adult formal education to improve literacy levels, which will go a long way in influencing reproductive health decisions. County health management team, together with the reproductive health section to network with other relevant stakeholders to increase sensitization on utilization of hospital-based deliveries. Health education by all relevant stakeholders on the advantages of hospital delivery. Establish community health units and train community health volunteers and traditional birth attendants to be safe motherhood promoters.

The traditional method of attendance management is carried out in handwritten registers. Other than the manual method, there exist biometric methods like fingerprint and retinal scan, RFID tags, etc. All of these methods have disadvantages, therefore, in order to avoid these difficulties here, we introduce a new method for attendance management using deep learning technology. Using deep learning we can easily train a data-set. Real-time face algorithms are used and recognized faces of students in real-time while attending lectures. This system aims to be less time- consuming in comparison to the existing system of marking attendance.The program runs on anaconda flask server.Here real time image is captured using mobile phone camera. The faces on the image of the persons are then recognized and attendance is marked on an excel file.

The smart attendance marking system, which is based on face recognition technology, is a modern solution that may aid in the automation of the attendance management process in a variety of organizations, including schools, colleges, and corporations. Using facial recognition technology, the research team hopes to create an efficient system for tracking and recording attendance. The system will be developed by gathering and analysing data in order to construct a database of faces that will be used to train deep learning algorithms to recognise faces effectively. Compared to traditional attendance tracking systems, the smart attendance marking system based on face recognition technology has various advantages. For starters, it saves time and lowers manual labour because attendance is automatically tracked. Second, it enhances precision, lowering the possibility of errors. Third, it delivers real-time attendance updates, making it simple for instructors or administration to monitor attendance and take appropriate action. The aim of the work is expected to improve attendance management in various organisations by optimising attendance monitoring methods while decreasing manual effort and errors. A collaborative project between the Oregon State University Extension Service, and the green industry and allied professional organizations resulted in an educational seminar series for landscape professionals. In 2003 and 2004, the seminar series consisted of seven 3.5-hour sessions covering a range of horticultural topics and capitalized on expertise of extension personnel and green industry professionals. After the 2004 series, a survey was sent to all participants to determine attendance, overall evaluation, usefulness and applicability of information, participant learning, and behavior change as a result of the seminars. The response rate was 31%. Overall, participants gave the seminars a positive rating. A majority (83%) of respondents reported they had applied information learned at the seminar(s), and showed a significant increase in understanding of a subject as a result of participating in the seminar(s). Further, 98% of those who applied this information reported making multiple changes to their practices or recommendations to clients in the 6 months following the seminars.

In Cosmology and the Polis Richard Seaford carries forward the trajectory of Reciprocity and Ritual (1994) and Money and the Early Greek Mind (2004), extending his analytical resources with (not exactly Bakhtinian) chronotopes – socially constructed cognitive models, in which space and time are congruently conceived (i.e. as ‘the same’ in certain respects: 22, 39). He distinguishes three chronotopes: reciprocal, as found in Homer; aetiological, related to ritual and the emergent polis (and containing an ‘antideterminate’ sub-chronotope, which expresses the space–time from which the aetiological transition is made); and monetized (4–5). ‘In the genesis of drama at the City Dionysia the reciprocal chronotope has been replaced by the aetiological’ (75). Monetization then contributes to tragedy's content by isolating powerful individuals from the collective: ‘tragedy frequently ends with the demise of the powerful individual(s)’ (113), and ‘tragic isolation derives in part from the self-sufficiency imposed on the individual by the new phenomenon of monetisation’ (169). Monetization ‘contributes also to its form’, since ‘the establishment of the second actor…may have arisen out of tension – between Dionysos and autocrat at Athens’ (111). The slide from indicative (‘contributes’) to hypothetical (‘may have’), with its long train of speculative attendants (‘it is tempting…hypothesise…seems likely…it is possible…may well have…’, 111) is, despite the desperately optimistic adverb, an index of the fragility of the construction. What is the exegetical pay-off? Seaford is capable, it must be said, of pure fantasy. He detects an allusion to incest in Aristotle's use of the phrase ‘currency from currency’ in Pol. 1258b1–8 (333). Aristotle objects to profit from purely financial transactions, not because it resembles incest (which would be silly), but because it has become disconnected from the real economy. In any case, ‘X from X’ has nothing to do with incest. The formula sums up an obvious feature of the natural course of reproduction (horses come from horses, and so on: Ph. 191b20–21, 193b8, 12; Gen. Corr. 333b7–8; Metaph. 1034b2, 1049b25–6; Pol. 1255b1–2; Pr. 878a27), and is applied to currency in a parenthetic explanation of the metaphorical use of tokos for interest. Aristotle is not the only victim of exegetical extravagance. The gold-changer to whom Aeschylus compares Ares (Ag. 438–9) exchanges gold dust for goods; Seaford knows this (200 n. 43, 247) but still assimilates the passage to currency exchange and monetized commercial transactions (200). Though his claims for the unique powers of monetization ought to make the importance of the distinction salient to him, mentions of silver are treated indiscriminately as references to money (201, on Aesch. Ag. 949, 959). Similarly, it is Seaford who associates insatiable prosperity with monetization (201), not Aeschylus’ text (Ag. 1331–42); and when Antigone speaks of death as kerdos (Soph. Ant. 461–4), it is Seaford who insists that Creon's single mention of coined silver (296) makes ‘the association of kerdos with monetary gain…inevitable’ (328). Why should our understanding of Antigone's patently non-monetized gain be determined by Creon's ‘obsession’? If it is an obsession, what marks it as such is its irrelevance: his grounds for complaint would be just as strong if a guard were suborned by non-monetary incentives. No other character has reason to share Creon's irrationality; nor has the audience; nor have we. This is a dazzlingly clever book; but its foundations are unstable, and its superstructure fragile.

On 21 March 2022, a China Eastern Airlines plane with 132 people on board crashed and all people are presumed dead. This study aimed to explore mental health symptoms and attitudes toward the plane crash among flight and train attendant students and the general public. A cross-sectional online survey was conducted two weeks after the plane crash. Mental health symptoms, including posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS), depressive, anxiety, and insomnia symptoms were assessed. A total of 494 participants were included, of which 183 were flight (n = 140) and train (n = 43) attendant students (aged 17.3 ± 1.7 years, 80.9% were female), and 311 were sampled from the general population (aged 26.7 ± 7.8 years, 62.1% were female). The prevalence of depressive, anxiety, and insomnia symptoms, and PTSS was 51.9%, 40.4%, 25.1%, and 12.6% in the transportation students, and 45.3%, 36.0%, 17.4%, and 4.2% in the general public sample, respectively. The students reported more frequent insomnia symptoms and PTSS than the general public sample. In the student group, compared with those without PTSS, those with PTSS reported significantly higher rates of depressive, anxiety, and insomnia symptoms. Two weeks after a plane crash, mental health symptoms are common in the general public and transportation students, with the latter being more likely to have PTSS symptoms. Our findings suggest the importance to identify risk groups when developing interventions after indirect exposure to traumatic events.

The transmission of hadith prompted substantial documentation and subsequent archiving. This article presents a recently rediscovered type of document belonging to this paper trail: audition attendance lists (awrāq al-samāʿ). Preceding the better-known audition certificate (samāʿ), an audition attendance list was sometimes used in the transmission of particularly long books in order to keep track of the attendance of sometimes hundreds of participants in audition sessions. Here we concentrate on one audition attendance list produced in the ninth/fifteenth century in Cairo for a transmission of the most famous hadith collection, the Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī. We introduce this kind of document, propose a reading of our particular sample, and discuss certain functions of audition attendance lists. We argue that these lists reveal a hitherto unknown depth in the documentary machinery of textual transmission.

Implementation of the European Working Time Directive and the Modernising Medical Careers initiative will mean junior surgeons must be trained in fewer hours over a shorter period. For this reason, junior surgeon training opportunities must be optimized. We undertook a departmental audit to identify where opportunities to train senior house officers (SHOs) in theatre were being lost, so that appropriate timetable changes could be made in order to optimize exposure to suitable surgical cases. During the first audit cycle, the SHOs followed their existing timetable and theatre attendance was monitored prospectively over a two-week period. Only 30 per cent of theatre sessions were attended and case participation was only 27 per cent. Simple timetable changes were made to maximize SHO theatre attendance, and a second prospective two-week audit was undertaken. The new rota yielded 46 per cent theatre attendance and 48 per cent case participation.

In this scientific article, control sensors and control devices have been improved based on the method of counting arrows of the rolling stock of railway transport. The microprocessor-controlled control unit and control system have been simplified to manage traffic between two stations, and a self-monitoring, reliable and risky scheme has been developed. Wiring diagrams of existing transport relays have been updated for uninterruptible power supplies, microprocessor devices, and sensors. An automated schematic diagram with a microprocessor for signaling a collision of a railway with wagons has been created, and the order in which the speed of train movement approaches the crossing has been maintained. The complex functional control of rolling stock was improved based on the method of counting bullets, electronic archiving of the movement of orders of the train attendant and dispatcher, as well as the operation of devices for monitoring the technical condition of the station.

The relationship between work attendance-absence and selected measures of executive (Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, Trail Making B) and motor (Purdue Pegboard) function was explored in a sample of 42 chronic psychiatric patients at a sheltered workshop setting. Work attendance was unrelated to intelligence but correlated with several executive and motor variables. A stepwise regression analysis produced a three-variable model which accounted for 40% of the variance. However, the direction of the relationships suggested that high attendance was most likely for older, more cognitively rigid patients, with less manual dexterity than other patients. These findings are discussed in terms of the need to consider jointly neurocognitive and environmental constraints on ecological functioning.

The paper focuses on the forms through which parents are involved in developing the spiritual welfare of their children. The study utilised a case study design to focus on Grace Community Christian Ministries Church (GCCM) in Kitengela. Data collection methods involved the use of interviews. A small group of nine parents - participants - from GCCM church membership was selected. The collected data was further analyzed thematically. The following themes were generated: teaching, Bible stories, family activities, prayer, modelling, Church attendance, choice of school, exhaustion and lack of time, lack of support from spouse, inexperience and, information gap. It was revealed that some of the ways parents got involved in nurturing their children spiritually included: teaching, Bible stories, family activities, prayer, modelling, Church attendance and choice of school for the children. However, the most common methods used were Church attendance and Sunday school. The paper thus recommends that GCCM church should train parents on how to empower their children spiritually at home so that they do not only rely on the activities in Sunday school.

Flight simulators have been used for a long time to train pilots of any type of aircraft. This type of training is more economical. The flight simulator improves control skills in extreme situations with minimal risks for the future pilot. Training on a flight simulator makes it possible to reproduce adverse weather conditions at any time. The pilot is on the ground in a special cockpit, which is mounted on a movable platform. This system is needed to ensure flight conditions as close to real as possible. The subject of the research in the article is an aviation simulator on the Stewart platform. The aim is to create and analyze an flight simulator platform using software. The paper presents the already existing flight simulator and its characteristics. Taking into account its dimensions and weight, the platform is modeled in SolidWorks. The kinematic diagram of the type design (6-6) is selected and presented. The basic equation of dynamics for calculating platform motion law for given values of the control forces is given. Also using this equation it is possible to find the controlling forces knowing the law of motion. The developed 3D model consists of two platforms, a movable and a stationary one. The legs with automatically variable length are attached to the platform using hinges. Selected material aluminum alloy type 2024 from which the platform is created. By loaded platform is meant that in the places where the simulator and the pi-lot's seat are installed, loads equal in weight to the simulator and the maximum weight of the seat with the pilot are applied. The anal-ysis includes such epurfaces: loads to assess whether the structure can support a given weight, displacement, deformation, safety margins and a Design Insight plot to evaluate design details. Identification of elements that are most likely to start collapsing under the weight of the simulator. The research was performed using SolidWorks Simulation software. Based on the data obtained from the plot, conclusions were made about the performance and safety of the developed platform.

Currently, the replacement of relay of railway automation and telemechanic is carried out at regular intervals without taking into account the actual number of relay switch. This method has such disadvantages as the lack of maximum and uniform exhaustion of the relay resource during operation and address planning of its replacement. The article proposes a scientific method that allows to manage the resource of relay of railway automation and telemechanic at the stage of its operation based on objective data on the values of its actual number of switch. To calculate the actual number of relay switch, simulation of the operation of relay and relay-processor systems of railway automation and telemechanic is used. The input data for the model of calculating the actual number of switch relay are the operation of the station (any movements of trains) and events that are recorded on the remote controller of the station attendant. The events of remote controller are changing the indication of the remote control lamps of the elements of the railway automation and telemechanic system (cancellation of the route, artificial opening, etc.). The article proposes to take data about the movement trains from technical diagnostics and monitoring systems. The data set, took as a result of processing information from technical diagnostics and monitoring systems, is compared with the algorithm (rules) of the operation of the railway automation and telemechanic system operated at the railway station or stage. On the results of comparing data from technical diagnostics and monitoring systems with the rules of operation of the railway automation and telemechanic system, it is formed a list of relay, describing the operating procedure of the railway automation and telemechanic system. The output data of the model is a list of relay with the actual number of relay switch. Data on the values of the actual number of relay switch allows determining the objective terms of its replacement and transition to address planning for the replacement of relay. AbstractData on frequency of church attendance have been obtained from separate cohorts of twins and their families from the USA and Australia (29 063 and 20 714 individuals from 5670 and 5615 families, respectively). The United States sample displayed considerably higher frequency of attendance at church services. Sources of family resemblance for this trait also differed between the Australian and US data, but both indicated significant additive genetic and shared environment effects on church attendance, with minor contributions from twin environment, assortative mating and parent–offspring environmental transmission. Principal differences between the populations were in greater maternal environmental effects in the US sample, as opposed to paternal effects in the Australian sample, and smaller shared environment effects observed for both women and men in the US cohort.

The Dispatcher-Assisted first REsponder programme aims to equip the public with skills to perform hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). By familiarising them with instructions given by a medical dispatcher during an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest call, they will be prepared and empowered to react in an emergency. We aim to formalise curriculum and standardise the way information is conveyed to the participants. A panel of 20 experts were chosen. Using Delphi methodology, selected issues were classified into open-ended and close-ended questions. Consensus for an item was established at a 70% agreement rate within the panel. Questions that had 60%–69% agreement were edited and sent to the panel for another round of voting. After 2 rounds of voting, 70 consensus statements were agreed upon. These covered the following: focus of CPR; qualities and qualifications of trainers; recognition of agonal breathing; head-tilt-chin lift; landmark for chest compression; performance of CPR when injuries are present; trainers’ involvement in training lay people; modesty of female patients during CPR; AED usage; content of trainer’s manual; addressing of questions and answers; updates-dissemination to trainers and attendance of refresher courses. Recommendations for pedagogy for trainers of dispatcher-assisted CPR programmes were developed.
