The present study aims to analyse the Tourism Supply Chain Management based on the published articles, available statistical data and the conducted research among the par- ticipants of the Tourism Industry (service provider/tour operator, intermediaries, cus- tomers). The paper has a goal to present a deeper insight into the factors affecting the choice of the distribution channel proposing a model based on the accumulated informa- tion regarding the tourism services distribution. In the research we pay a special atten- tion to the analysis of the factors motivating customers to choose traditional intermedi- aries at the time when all the operations can be done through the Internet. This problem would be analysed from both service provider and customers personal approach. The model also includes the future perspective of the development in the field of e-Tourism. The major contribution of this paper is the confrontation of the customers real prefer- ences and company‟s strategies with published earlier empirical research.

Purpose of this study is to holistically analyze existing linkages between Aruba's tourism industry, restaurants and local farmers, by examining strategies that constrain the development of linkages between these stakeholders. Previous research indicated that tourism development is often accompanied with increased demand for imported food, which results in foreign exchange leakages, inflation and competition with local production. This phenomenon is very common in the Caribbean, where Aruba, with its heavy reliance on imported goods and services, is no exception to this occurrence. To comprehend potential problems associated with linking both sectors, these in-depth case study addresses three fundamental questions: a) what is the structure of supply and demand of food for the tourism industry of Aruba?, and b) what factors constrain the development of linkages between international tourism and Aruba's local agriculture? Using an exploratory and stochastic methodological approach, data will be obtained from structured surveys from three different stakeholders in the food supply chain of Aruba. Anticipated findings illustrate that the existing linkage between the tourism industry and agriculture in Aruba is still weak, yet the food consumption and preferences by tourists can contribute in enhancing an eco-gastronomic tourism supply chain.

Supply chain exchange relationships are complex and sometimes chaotic sociological and organisational phenomena. This complexity is compounded by the boundary spanning necessity of forming supply chain partnerships that are further exacerbated by goal divergence and asymmetric information. One of the main questions for consideration is how these dyadic exchange relationships are maintained and develop over time in response to the various channel behaviours of the actors (the buyer and seller)? In particular, exchange relationships are theorised to be sensitive in some degree to attempts at economic appropriation, and conversely coordinative efforts. Such efforts manifest themselves into the mutually opposing forces broadly labelled as opportunistic and collaborative behavioural paradigms. Drawing from the concepts of Systems and Chaos/Complexity theories, it is theorised that the movement from one form of relational arrangement to another is enacted in a non-linear and dynamic manner with periods of relational equilibrium disrupted by bifurcations resulting in the emergence of new levels of relationship. However, not all exchange relationships are susceptible to constant change, rather, there should be some threshold barrier or relationship inertia that must be overcome before a bifurcation occurs. Yet what is not known is how strong these bonds are to the enactment of opportunistic and collaborative partner behaviours. Hence, 189 manufacturing supply chain relationships were survey-interviewed in order to determine the impact that collaborative and opportunistic behaviours have on supply chain relational movement. The results show that generally exchange relationships do in fact change in response to these enacted behaviours, and that actual levels of supply chain behaviour over a range of 12 variables could be measured. Indeed, the level of opportunistic behaviour experienced by the sample was disturbing. In addition, the level of tolerance (zone of tolerance) for specific behaviours was measured for the first time in the field. Overall, it was found that supply chain exchange relationships do indeed evolve in a non-linear dynamic manner in response to opportunistic and collaborative manoeuvres by the dyadic actors. Finally, these ideas were summarised in the Dynamic Relational Development (DRD) concept that explains how supply chain relationships dynamically change. In addition, the dualistic nature of the collaborative versus opportunistic behaviour choice for exchange actors is tentatively reconciled by the deontological approach of the Supply Chain Citizen theory offered in this research.

The research aim was to gain a more detailed understanding of the operation of different key segments for fresh produce supply chains originating in the Highlands Provinces in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The research investigates a number of supply chain dimensions of effectiveness which include, value creation and integration of processes, logistics, quality, information, relationship/vertical integration and overall effectiveness. These were linked together in SC framework. Two potato chains were investigated, one formal, the other informal. The informal potato chain involves small holder farmers, input suppliers and local markets including kai bars and the urban market. The chain originates and ends within the Western Highlands Province. The formal potato chain has farmers, input suppliers, wholesaler/marker, transport companies (trucking and coastal shipping agents), supermarkets, hotels and kai bars. This chain originates in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands Province and ends in Port Moresby, National Capital District. The effectiveness of both the formal and informal chains was identified, and comparisons were made to see how each chain differed. The informal chain was found to have different problems to the formal chains. However, participants to both chains demonstrate a high entrepreneurial behavior. A key finding of the study was that the chains spread their risk by operating in multiple market segments and this can help to solve issues with variable quality. The marketers in each chain position themselves in these different market segments. It was clear from this work that focusing on functions and not the whole chain can lead to a distorted view of chain performance. For example, for the informal chain, a focus on logistics issues, particularly poor roads and problems with availability of seeds, can misrepresent the effectiveness of this chain. Therefore, it was concluded that it is important to look at the overall performance of each chain rather than looking specifically at particular chain functions in isolation.

Questo lavoro consiste in una collezione di 8 paper accettati da altrettante Conference internazionali di diverso indirizzo disciplinare, dal marketing B2B all'organizzazione aziendale ai sistemi informativi. In questi paper, si affronta da diversi punti di vista il tema dei business network e di come il business networking influenzi la capacità di innovazione delle imprese. Le ricerche presentate confermano su più fronti come le classiche variabili con cui si misurano i business network, quali la fiducia, la conoscenza reciproca, l'intensità dei flussi di risorse scambiate, eccetera, per quanto importanti, non siano sufficienti a spiegare l'influenza che il network ha sulle capacità di innovazione. Vengono quindi proposti 3 nuovi costrutti: Motivazioni al business network, Attitudine alle relazioni di business di lungo periodo, e Sostenibilità della collaborazione altruistica. Il lavoro ipotizza come diverse configurazioni di queste tre variabili possono influenzare le capacità di innovazione dell'organizzazione. Alcune ricerche qualitative, focalizzate sul settore turistico (sistema destinazione) e sul manifatturiero (supply chain) permettono di mettere a confronto il modello con contesti di business concreti.
The system of the organization's long-term business relationships is the organization's Business Network. This theory-building thesis focuses on how business networking influences the organization's performances, and more specifically its innovation capabilities. An important gap in theory is identified, since there is a lack of consistent research explaining why even Business Networks where all the traditional variables (such as Trust, Cooperation, Number of Ties, Strength of Ties, etc.) are ranking high, may perform poorly in terms of innovation capabilities. An inter-disciplinary effort may be a fruitful strategy for addressing such a gap in theory. Consistently, this thesis was structured as a collection of 8 papers submitted to and accepted by different international Conferences, whose disciplinary focus spanned from B2B marketing to organization studies, Information Systems, Operations research and eParticipation studies. These papers include qualitative researches for theory-building, and the considered cases belong to different industrial sectors such as Tourism and Manufacturing. The main novel outcomes of this work are: the identification of new Constructs (and related Scales) describing phenomena that influence, according to the qualitative researches conducted here, the innovation capabilities of Business Networks; and the in-depth analysis of how successful and sustainable innovation emerges from creative processes in collaborative settings. The identifed Constructs are: Motivations to Business Network, Attitude to Long-Term Business Relationships, Sustainability of Altruistic Cooperation. This work hypothesizes that if the main Motivation to Networking is the predictability of business interactions, this may result in a detrimental effect on Creativity/Innovation, and in a weakened resilience of the Altruistic Cooperation. On the other hand, if the main Motivation to Networking is to aggregate power, for example for lobbying activities, this tends to enhance only certain aspects of Altruistic Cooperation, whilst Creativity/Innovation at the network level is likely to be poorer. Finally, if the main Motivation to Networking is to aggregate capabilities, both Altruistic Cooperation and Creativity/Innovation are often positively impacted, especially when also certain levels of Predictability and of Power Aggregation are achieved.

The aim of this research is to investigate the use of third party logistics in New Zealand companies from the users’ perspective and to identify the improvement opportunities in the New Zealand environment. The empirical research is used to investigate the reasons for undertaking or not outsourcing logistics activities in New Zealand companies; to investigate the extent of use of third party logistics services in New Zealand and the influence of firm sizes and different industries on different aspects of 3PL (third party logistics) practices; to investigate critical success factors and attributes of selecting and evaluating 3PL service providers by users of 3PL in New Zealand; to establish the impact of usage of 3PL providers on New Zealand companies; to evaluate the satisfaction level of New Zealand 3PL services; to investigate the future plans of current 3PL users in New Zealand. The results showed that 3PL has been accepted by New Zealand organizations; with more than half of the respondents using 3PL. Current users accepted that 3PL allows them to gain a number of benefits and believe that 3PL has more positive impacts than negative. With a high level of satisfaction, a large number of user firms are likely to maintain and moderately increase the use of 3PL in the near future. The results of this study provide useful information for both 3PL providers and users. Providers should be aware of the most frequently used services, the potential trend, and develop their capabilities accordingly in terms of these future requirements. The experience of the firms in this study also provides insights as to the benefits of outsourcing logistics activities and how to plan for implementation for 3PL users.

The fast development of the Chinese economy has brought tremendous impact on the growth of logistics industry in the country. China has become the hottest market for both Chinese and foreign third-party logistics companies (3PL providers), and more and more foreign and domestic 3PL providers are being involved in the Chinese logistics industry. To understand the current situation Chinese third-party logistics companies are facing and the competitive strategies they are pursuing, an exploratory investigation was conducted in the study. A multiple case-study approach was adopted as the main strategy and guidance for the study. Under the principle of multiple case studies, multiple instruments (questionnaire, telephone interviews and archive searching) were used in the data collection among three selected case study companies. Also, within-case analysis and cross-case analysis were chosen as the overall framework of data analysis, and content analysis was selected as the main method for qualitative data analysis. Through investigating a variety of aspects of the three case study 3PL companies, the study has identified that all the case study companies have established country-wide logistics networks, have provided customers a range of logistics services, and have adopted different information technology systems in their operations. All the case study companies have achieved constant increase in their sales in recent years. Generally, the competition in the Chinese 3PL industry is fierce, and sometimes chaotic, unfair, and even illegal. Foreign 3PL providers have been considered as major competitor by Chinese 3PL providers. All the case study companies have developed and pursued a number of competitive strategies to gain competitive advantages in both cost and service. The main competitive strategies addressed include distribution network developing strategy, information technological strategy, and long-term partnership strategy.

The research for this thesis "Options for Developing a New Mid Micron Value Proposition for Consumers", is a part of a larger "New Mid Micron Products" project initiated by Mid Micron New Zealand Inc with the key goal of turning the Mid Micron Sector into a more vibrant and profitable one. The motivation for the project can be found in the dramatic fall in demand for New Zealand Mid Micron wool over the past decade. Two dominant causes for the fall in demand for Mid Micron wool were identified: the substandard skin comfort of final products made from Mid Micron wool, and a problem with the structure of the Mid Micron Sector. These problems are addressed in the "New Mid Micron Products" project that combines new product development and new marketing initiatives. Product development involved the use of new spinning technology to improve skin comfort quality and develop new products that are softer and prickle free. The aim is to extract more value for woolgrowers by having the wool converted into a higher value product. The new marketing initiatives, which were identified in this thesis research, Focusing On New Market Segments via E-Commerce and Reconfiguring The Value Chain, and concentrate on the operational issues of capturing the value from the newly developed Mid Micron products. Taking into account the nature of the overall Mid Micron Project and type of developed products, this research identified the Operational Excellence and Product Leadership models as alternative routes to develop a new Mid Micron Value Proposition for consumers. Operational Excellence, and the associated Cost Leadership strategy, is a low capital investment option, while Product Leadership and the associated Differentiation strategy is a high capital investment option. The models' principles and their elements, products, price and delivery to market, are evaluated in the context of the Mid Micron Business.

Local food and the localisation of food are beset by many problems in the UK. We have still yet to agree on a consensus view of the term ‘local food’ despite the call for an enforceable definition. The continued absence of rules around products and their relative spatial determinacy has lead to the development of both fluid, and subjective interpretations around the term ‘local’, as well as a willingness by key actors to readily conflate ‘local’ with ‘regional’ as a pluralistic device in a market worth £4.6 billion in sales from farm shops and farmers’ markets alone. This research sets out to identify and diffuse the problems we have in defining what local food is, and presciently, what it may become. The research itself utilises a qualitative multiple case study approach, engaging with a final cohort of 23 producers of similar products, but at different scales of supply, and across a broad geographic spread of England. In encompassing areas which do not have a reputation for local food, the research mitigates against previous micro-analytical research and adds both construct and internal validity to its data, gathered by semi-structured interviews, process mapping and questionnaires. Template analysis is used as a data extraction tool in this research, which seeks to provide disambiguation around the sector and suggest a way forward which has the potential to offer greater derived benefit to current and future stakeholders.

This research aims to analyze how lodging facilities can contribute to the promotion of sustainable actions in their supply chain. According to previous studies, hotels and others lodgings managed to influence their suppliers to adopt sustainable practices in their processes. Thus were listed the following specific objectives: to verify sustainable actions in the lodging facilities (in social, economic and environmental sphere) and identify which one there are more actions and activities; analyze the reasons that led them to adopt such practices and which benefits they can reach; and also analyze difficulties in performing sustainable actions and, finally, to examine whether this actions influence other parts of the lodging supply chain to adopt sustainable practices. For this purpose, the following concepts will be explained: sustainable development; tourism, passing by mass and sustainable tourism and also how they can relate; tourism supply chain and its possible representations, and finally, lodging facilities and their classifications in Brazil. The research strategy applied was case study, using within-case analysis as a method. This study was conducted at Sao Paulo’s North Coast, which includes Ubatuba, Caraguatatuba, São Sebastião and Ilhabela cities. The study found that the lodging facilities in this region perform some sustainable practices, and most of it falls on the environmental dimension. However, these practices are still very incipient and made without technical support. On the influence of the supply chain, it was found that most managers do not thought about extending this sustainable practices to suppliers. The ones who considered this possibility claim that lack the size needed. In other words, companies researched are small and medium-sized and they cannot put pressure on its stakeholders. Therefore, it can be said that even in a coastal area where the main activity is tourism - and the attractions are natural beauties that need to be preserved - sustainable development is still an issue that needs to be understood, disseminated and encouraged.
Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar de que maneira os meios de hospedagem podem contribuir para o incentivo de ações sustentáveis na sua cadeia de suprimentos. Segundo estudos anteriores, os meios de hospedagem são capazes de influenciar fornecedores a adotarem práticas sustentáveis em seus processos. Deste modo, este estudo busca analisar de que maneira os MHs podem contribuir para o incentivo de ações sustentáveis na sua cadeia de suprimentos. Para isso, os seguintes objetivos específicos foram listados: verificar a existência de ações sustentáveis nos meios de hospedagem nos âmbitos social, econômico e ambiental e identificar em qual dos três existem mais ações e atividades realizadas; analisar os motivos que levaram os mesmos a adotar tais práticas e seus benefícios; analisar as dificuldades dos empreendimentos em realizar ações sustentáveis e, por fim, analisar se tais ações influenciam ou alcançam outras partes da cadeia de suprimentos do meio de hospedagem a adotar práticas sustentáveis. Para alcançar estes objetivos, serão abordados os conceitos de desenvolvimento sustentável e suas principais definições contidas na literatura pertinente; conceito de turismo, abordando o turismo de massa e o sustentável e como eles se relacionam; a cadeia de suprimento do turismo e suas possíveis representações e, finalmente, as principais definições de meios de hospedagem e as classificações existentes no Brasil. A estratégia de pesquisa utilizada foi o estudo de caso, sendo o within-case escolhido como método de análise. O estudo foi realizado no Litoral Norte de São Paulo que inclui as cidades de Ubatuba, Caraguatatuba, São Sebastião e Ilhabela. A região foi propícia para a pesquisa por possui 80% do território coberto por Mata Atlântica e ter o turismo como uma das principais atividades econômicas. Como resultados, o estudo verificou que os meios de hospedagem desta região executam algumas práticas sustentáveis, sendo que a maior parte delas recai sobre a dimensão ambiental. Entretanto, estas práticas ainda são bastante incipientes e feitas sem acompanhamento técnico. Quanto à influência na cadeia de suprimentos, foi verificado que a maioria dos gestores não pensou em estender as ações sustentáveis a seus fornecedores e, os que cogitaram esta ideia, alegam que não possuem o porte necessário. Por serem de pequeno e médio porte não conseguem exercer pressão sobre seus stakeholders. Deste modo, pode-se dizer que, mesmo em uma região litorânea onde a principal atividade é o turismo - e os atrativos são belezas naturais que precisam ser preservadas - a adoção de práticas sustentáveis em meios de hospedagem ainda é um assunto que precisa ser compreendido, divulgado e incentivado.

With this study the researcher investigated the sustainable luxury value perceptions, supply chain information needs, and purchasing intent of American and Chinese tourists for South African manufactured luxury exotic leather products. Online survey data was collected from 1 043 individuals from American (518) and Chinese (525) decent. A non-probability convenient sample method was followed for data collection purposes. A self-administered questionnaire based on the works of Hennigs, Wiedmann, Klarmann and Behrens (2013c) and Cervellon and Shammas (2013) was used to test individuals’ sustainable luxury value perceptions. A self-developed scale tested the need for supply chain information. Purchasing intent was determined based on the research of Spears and Singh (2004). Data analysis consisted of descriptive and inferential statistics with correlation coefficient determination between constructs. The findings confirmed the “sustainable excellence” perception conceptualised by Hennigs et al. (2013c). It was furthermore found that only slight differences existed between American and Chinese consumers sustainable luxury value perceptions. Furthermore, it was found that American and Chinese consumers had a strong need for supply chain information relating to luxury exotic leather products, with a clear distinction existing between their operational and originality supply chain information needs. The findings showed that consumers from both nationalities had a high intention to purchase luxury exotic leather products when visiting South Africa. In addition, significant correlations were found between American and Chinese consumers’ sustainable luxury value perceptions, their supply chain information needs, and purchasing intent. Various exotic leather industry stakeholders, such as crocodile and ostrich farmers, tanneries, product designers, manufacturers, retailers, and marketers, can benefit from the findings of this study, to position their products competitively.

The key objective of this multi-disciplinary research was to seek for feasible solutions to avoid effluent from livestock trucks spilling onto roads. Stock effluent spillage mainly poses road safety hazards and environmental damage, and also causes offence to road users and tourists. This task required reviewing previous institutional actions, assessing the power of the existing legislation, and evaluating the interests and attitudes of the stakeholder groups involved in the overall livestock supply chain. It was also necessary to consider politics, administration, public policy and economics, gaining the willing cooperation and confidence of the stakeholder groups through application of 'Soft Systems Methodology' (SSM). A key component was the creation of a 13 minute video and its associated brochure as a primary tool for a stakeholder educational awareness programme. It was necessary to analyse the complex relationships between livestock preparation prior to transport; effluent produced in-transit; and end product quality factors. Detailed information pertaining to the nature of livestock shipments by truck in the South Island of New Zealand had to be collected and verified. All the above information were fed into the calculation of an ideal network of in-transit effluent discharge sites on State Highways in the South Island of New Zealand. Assuming the adoption of best practice throughout the supply chain, it was possible to recommend sustainable solutions. The problem is amenable to solution. Adoption of a strong Industry Code of Practice, coupled with the construction of a strategic network of dump sites will enable the industry to avoid the heavy-handed legal consequences of allowing the status quo to continue.

Analisar as dinâmicas que envolvem a combinação de atividades realizadas no contexto rural mostra-se uma tarefa pertinente para a temática do agronegócio. A crescente valorização das culturas e sistemas de produção locais, dos produtos agroalimentares, das paisagens e do meio ambiente, bem como as dinâmicas das relações sociais e econômicas, impulsionam o surgimento de novas oportunidades para geração desenvolvimento econômico e social no meio rural. Nesse sentido, o desenvolvimento da atividade turística no espaço rural, motivado pela diversificação e pela demanda das novas relações com esse ambiente, expõe as possibilidades de exploração de novas oportunidades de mercado. Percebe-se que a valorização do local estimula não apenas a economia rural, mas também a atividade turística e o desenvolvimento de pequenos empreendimentos de uma determinada região. No caso dessa pesquisa, tais fatores são explorados através da identificação e análise das iniciativas de enoturismo e turismo gastronômico na região Sul do Brasil. Buscando discutir esse contexto, realizou-se um levantamento da literatura acerca das abordagens que conduzem a construção analítica do trabalho, posteriormente desenvolveram-se dois estudos, que, para a estrutura teórica, relacionam como fio condutor a temática do turismo no espaço rural, com a abordagem de cadeias curtas. O levantamento realizado serviu para embasar a análise dos dados selecionados para compor o estudo acerca do enoturismo e das entrevistas com atores locais, no caso do estudo referente ao turismo gastronômico, que também contempla outros elementos, como Indicações Geográficas e o movimento Slow Food. Como resultados da análise, pode-se considerar que, ao promover os produtos locais, valorizar o tradicional e as estruturas sociais e econômicas de uma determinada região é possível atingir o desenvolvimento regional e agregar valor para os produtos, valorizar os produtores e aproximá-los do setor varejista e de serviços, e, consumidores finais.
To analyze the dynamics involving the combination of activities in the rural context appears as a relevant task for the subject of agribusiness. The growing appreciation of cultures and local production systems, agri-food products, the landscapes and the environment, as well as the dynamics of social and economic relations, drive the emergence of new opportunities for generating economic and social development in rural areas. In this sense, the development of tourism in rural areas, driven by diversification and demand of new relations with the environment, exposes the possibilities of exploiting new market opportunities. It is noticed that the appreciation of the Local encourages not only the rural economy, but also the tourist activity and the development of small enterprises in a given region. In the case of this research, these factors are explored through the identification and analysis of wine tourism and gastronomic tourism initiatives in southern Brazil. Attempting to discuss this context was held a survey of the literature on approaches that lead to analytical construction of the study, subsequently were developed two studies, which, for the theoretical framework, relate as a guide the theme of tourism in rural areas, with the approach of short chains. The survey served to support the analysis of the data selected to compose the study of the wine tourism and interviews with local actors, in the case of study related to gastronomic tourism, which also includes other elements such as geographical indications and the Slow Food movement. As a result of the analysis, it can be considered that by promoting local products, enhance the traditional social and economic structures of a given region can achieve regional development and add value to the products, value producers and bring them closer of the retail sector and services, and consumers.

Transformações ocorridas na sociedade nos cenários econômicos, sociais, ambientais ocasionaram uma nova forma de atuar na agricultura, combinando a terra, o trabalho e a família. O morador do campo não atua mais somente como produtor de alimentos, mas passou a ser pluriativo, desenvolvendo também atividades não-agrícolas, que incluem comércio e serviços. Entre as atividades que caracterizam a multifuncionalidade no uso da terra estão os empreendimentos de turismo rural, que geralmente praticam a venda direta de produtos agroalimentares locais. Essa dissertação aborda o tema turismo rural e sua relação com a pluriatividade no campo e com as cadeias agroalimentares curtas em um estudo de caso em Borborema – SP, o agroturismo Caminho Caipira. O objetivo do trabalho foi investigar como o turismo se insere no espaço rural, verificando a potencialidade do Caminho Caipira para o turismo de Borborema De maneira específica, buscou-se analisar os pontos fortes e fracos do empreendimento, identificar a participação dos agentes públicos e privados na criação e manutenção do Caminho Caipira, e elencar os elementos que caracterizam a produção artesanal do empreendimento e sua relação com as cadeias curtas de comercialização. Para tal, a pesquisa teve caráter exploratório e descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa. A coleta de dados foi feita por meio de questionários semiestruturados aplicados sob os princípios da pesquisa participante. Concluiu-se que o Caminho Caipira possui potencial no turismo de Borborema e que a adoção da venda direta foi uma conveniência baseada nos princípios de sustentabilidade e produção orgânica que obriga a sazonalidade do agroalimento. O estudo apurou que não houve apoio institucional, o que tem gerado entraves ao empreendimento.
Society transformations, in economic, social and environmental scenarios, led to a new way of working in agriculture, combining land, work and family. The residents of the field no more are only producer of food, but became pluriativos (people who words in several kinds of jobs) and also develop non-agricultural activities, including commerce and services. Among the activities that characterize the multifunctionality of land use are the rural tourism achievements, which usually practice the direct sale of local food products. This dissertation addresses the issue rural tourism and its relationship with pluriactivity in the field and with short food supply chains in a case study in Borborema - SP, the agritourism Caminho Caipira. The objective of this study was to investigate the insertion of the tourism into the rural áreas, and specifically to check the potential of Caminho Caipira for tourism of Borborema City, and the relation about the short circuits of sales. For this, the research was exploratory and descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was made through semi-structured questionnaires on the principles of participatory research. It was concluded that the Caminho Caipira has potential for the Borborema City tourism and the adoption of direct sales was a convenience on the principles of sustainability and organic production which requires the seasonality of agroalimento. The survey also sought to identify the participation of the government in creating and maintaining the project. In this case, the study found that there was no institutional support, which has created barriers to enterprise.

O objetivo desse trabalho é fazer um estudo exploratório acerca da cadeia de suprimentos dos pacotes de turismo, estruturados para as classes A e B, cujo destino seja o Nordeste Brasileiro. Procurou-se verificar quais as variáveis importantes e impactantes desta cadeia, o relacionamento entre os participantes da mesma e assim, avaliar se o poder da mesma está nas mãos da operadora de turismo. Para tanto, uma revisão bibliográfica foi realizada inicialmente a fim de identificar quais os aspectos relevantes da cadeia de suprimentos e de turismo. As questões teóricas serviram de base para a coleta de dados em campo, a qual foi constituída de entrevista com roteiro semi-estruturado, com 14 executivos - gerentes e diretores - das empresas constituintes dessa cadeia, complementada por meio de questionário com questões fechadas, respondido por 104 colaboradores da área operacional destas empresas. Por fim, aliando-se a teoria às informações coletadas em campo, foi possível chegar às conclusões e análises pretendidas.
The objective of this work was to conduct an exploratory study about the supply chain of tourist packages designed for publics from A and B social classes, with destination to the Brazilian northeast region. The study was focused in the identification of the most important and relevant variables of this chain as well as the relationship among the participants in order to find out if the tour operator has the main control and leadership in this chain. For this purpose, a bibliography review was done to identify which were the most relevant aspects of the supply and tourist packages. The theoretical questions were used as basis for the qualitative research through interviews with 14 executives, managers and directors from the companies involved in the chain, besides another research through structured questions asked to 104 operational employees from the companies. All this effort was aimed at checking and bringing together the results of these research works and the initial theories, and thence, make it possible to verify and confirm the conclusions.

According to the dramatic change in the global economy, the energy crisis and global warning, the Taiwan government suggests six new critical developing strategies to integrate various industries with tourism.Taiwan is an island country, therefore, all the outbound traffics are relied on and maritime transport, especially the leisure tourism industries. The aviation industries have the highest capital sunk natures and outputs can not be saved properties. How to reach the optimal allocation of resources and design the reasonable price/purchase cooperation decision model is an important issue. In this study, we will applying an bilevel programming model to build a model for the aviation industry and tourism industry, and have a case study of the aviation industry and tourism industry, testing the function of response mode and features. For the aviation industry operators, service design process must understand that the consumers of their forms of service may reflect, in order to select the best service plans in the performance of operators. Choose to do in the current aviation industry services for the tourism industry, does not consider the impact of their behavior on the aviation industry. However, an bilevel programming model reflects the different perspectives and the relationship of the aviation industry and tourism, the choice of tourism demand for air travel mode for the next order of the aviation industry, aviation service design pattern on the order of the problem. Using Multinomial logit model to select mode under the order of the customer demand forecast, then the Extended Karush-Kuhu-Tucker conditions on the order of the best of solving an bilevel pricing / purchase decision model.

With the development of Internet and e-commerce, the issue of information sharing is considered the most important key to the cost savings. Through information sharing, it can help the upstream player, which is manufacturer predict the demand of the market accurately. Further, it can reduce the costs of excess inventory or the costs of out of stock. It can also reduce a great influence of the bullwhip effect. In the past, although there are a lot of methods to use information sharing to save the cost, it does not combine the current trend to allocate the cost of the player in the supply chain. In this study, we construct the platform and develop a new business model in the supply chain. We can use the platform to obtain the demand information and cooperate with each other to implement information sharing. The goal is to save the more costs and obtain the optimal allocation in the supply chain. Therefore, we use the cooperative game theory to analyze and allocate the cost savings. Finally, we can find the optimal cooperation in the supply chain. Specifically, we concern with the tourism souvenir supply chain as an example.

In this article, I try to discuss in geographical viewpoints, starting from the spatial structure of tourism hotel market, and then work on a probe into the rationality of the function of spatial network within tourist reservation supply chain of Taiwan tourism hotel, and the performance of tourist reservation supply chain, and further, I attempt to proposed managing strategies for tourism hotel in this changeful period. Taiwan have been classified into 6 type in this research, “stable city”,” changeful city”, “growing city”, “growing resort”, “reviving resort” and “developing resort”, according to the amount and structure of tourist. “Stable city” type is the only one that foreign tourist had a strong will to stay in tourism hotel. Tourism hotel in other types region have only native tourist. Most tourists arriving Taiwan come from Asia, and then American, European, Oceania and African are follow in sequences. Although Japanese got highest percentage, but only increase 9.42% from 1990 to 2002; tourist from North American and Asia increase most, besides, tourists from Japanese, Asia and European have lower will to reservation tourism hotel. According to this research, the structures of Taiwan international tourist are changeful, and supplies more than demands in most area. In order to raise occupancy rate of hotels, tourism hotel structure their supply chain between hotel and tourist by the way through ISP, and consolidate supply chain’s connecting network by international chain, native chain and alliance with industry relationship and social relationship. Violently changeful market structures make more unbalanced relationship between supply and demand. Large-sized tourism hotels, regions besides “stable city” type, have low managing performance. Finally, I analysis with Michael Porter’s "diamond system " for tourism hotel strategies with “Factor Conditions “,” Demand Conditions”,” Related and Supporting Industries”, “Firm Strategy, Structure, and Rivalry “, “Government “,” opportunity “.

In the 21st century, with the rise of international environmental awareness, the country, business and even individuals are all paying attention to environmental issues. Business establish green supply chain management has become a major challenge the trend towards a sustainable.Numerous research has been focused on green aspects of supply chain in manufactures and high tech industry, but the service sector was largely ignored and especially resulted in limited supply chain studies on tour operators. Recently, supply chain becomes a new research agenda and researchers even tried to promote tourism supply chain efficiency and competitiveness through the vertical integration. This study aimed to explore the tourism green supply chain management by defining the sectors, environmental issues, and indicators. Then, a purposive sampling was conducted with expert survey for the tourism industry and academic experts. Finally, the environmental aspects and indicators of tourism green supply chain management were obtained and some suggestions were made for the implementation of a real no-chimney industry. The results showed that tourism green supply chain management of tourism sector are, "food", "accommodation", "transportation", "destination" and " craft producers ", "common items" and " green drivers", Different tourism sector has priority environmental issues, food emphasizes on waste reduction, accommodation is green initiatives, transportation is environmental support, destination is resource development, craft producers is waste reduction, common items is green specifications and green drivers is government environmental regulatory. Environmental issues have different indicators, and it is expect to provide reference and criteria for travel agencies and government authority.

Tourism and travel has emerged as a hot topic in human activities in 21st century. It’s an easy way to release the stress, nervousness or even anxiety from people’s daily life when they’re doing tourism or travel activities. Tourism industry is combining with food, accommodation, traffic, tour and shopping industries, it was considered a green industry because their services are purchasing from other property. However, tourism industry will bring environmental problem when it’s growing popular from the companies which they cooperate. With the environmental awareness all over the world, countries, businesses and even individuals are paying attention to environmental issues. To establish green supply chain management has become a major challenge with the trend towards a sustainable. Unfortunately, it’s less of tourism corporation will concern about the environmental protection in the Nation. The aims of this study is to establish the developmental strategies for tourism green supply chain management and use DEMATEL method to figure out the interrelationship between all of the strategies, finally contribute a development process for tourism green supply chain management that according to the analyze result. 13 developmental strategies were defined from a content analyze, a DEMATEL questionnaire had established that based on paired comparisons of each strategy. 8 experts participated in this study. According to the analyze result, a developmental process with three phases have been built. First phase is Design stage, including regulations and other 2 core strategies. Second phase is to propel by benefit for industries and other 3 propelling strategies. All of the activities in these two phases have three essentials need to follow. Finally, third phase is an independent area for Education and other two autonomous strategies.

Environmental sustainability is a central subject in the last years, due to the damage that human activity has been doing to the planet ecosystem. The concern is mostly based on consequences that it will have on future generations’ resources. The hotels’ industry is among the industries that generate more pollution and therefore affects environmental, social and economic sustainability. This dissertation evaluates the state of Portuguese hotels (on the cities of Porto, Lisbon and Algarve) regarding the presence of environmental sustainability practices on their supply chain, as well as the influence these practices may have on consumers. Through a survey two questionnaires were implemented: one to all the hotels (in Porto, Lisbon and Algarve) that were presented on the database of the national tourism association, and the other one to any consumer. From the 28 hotels, 18 have a low level of implementation of environmental sustainability practices (0 to 30 practices) and 10 are at a medium level (30 to 60). From the perspective of 178 consumers we found that more consumers consider social sustainability aspects when choosing a hotel than energy and environmental aspects. Furthermore, consumers are more willing to pay extra costs to have social sustainability features than energy and environmental sustainability features. This study gives insights to hotels and interested third parties such as tourism associations, sustainability related organizations, the government, and consumers.

While there is a concern that Sustainable Tourism has not been entirely adopted in practice (Graci, 2008), this thesis shows that Sustainable Tourism has been implemented by South Korean Tour Operators under the name of Fair Tourism. Fair Tourism is a rising trend as Sustainable Tourism in South Korea, and discussion on this new sector of the industry has increased in recent years (S. Gil Lee, 2016). This thesis adds to that discourse with three research objectives: 1) Define the concept of Fair Tourism. 2) What activities constitute Fair Tourism from practitioners’ viewpoint? 3) Examine how Fair Tour operators manage their sustainable supply chain based on the SCOR model.

To understand practitioners’ perception of Fair Tourism, this study has applied social constructionism, which recognized that human beings construct meanings through individual interaction (Walker, 2015). Semi-structured interviews with fifteen Fair Travel operators and thematic analysis have been applied for methodology (Elo & Kyngäs, 2008; McIntosh & Morse, 2015). This study has two significant findings. First, the findings have revealed a generally accepted definition of Fair Tourism by both researchers and operators. The definition includes Ensuring Economic Contribution to The Destination, Environmental and Social Sustainability, and Mutually Respectful Relationship. This generally acknowledged definition has helped Fair Tour operators develop the sector. Second, this thesis found that operators genuinely respect their suppliers. Operators regard their suppliers as partners who share responsibilities and benefits, leading to satisfactory outcomes for all partners (Macaulay et al., 1999). Their relationship with partners is long-term and deep rather than transactional.

Theoretically, this thesis contributed to the finding that Sustainable Tourism can be practicable under the name of Fair Tourism, demonstrating practitioners’ replies that are 100 percent consistent. This study applied a novel approach, focusing on the operators’ point of view, while previous studies on Fair Tourism focused on defining the term and the industry's demand (Byun, 2016; M.-K. Kim & Cho, 2019; Shin et al., 2018). Given that Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model has been developed for the analysis of the manufacturing industry, this study has advanced this manufacturing performance measurement framework and applied it to the tourism industry.

Traditionally, the operational performance of enterprises has been measured in terms of financial accountability and profit since they provide a monetary yardstick of performance evaluation and comparisons. However, in the global knowledge economy, performance should be analysed beyond financial ratios criteria and systems, and should be measured in terms of corporate governance (CG), organisation behaviour (OB) and supply chain management (SCM) because these factors determine the performance of enterprises in the broader socio-economic perspective generally, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) specifically. An integrated approach to performance measurement requires an assessment of the contributions of stakeholders and the major tenets of modern organisation theory, namely OB, CG, SCM and corporate social responsibility because these are determinants of performance and missing in previous work. This dissertation develops a contemporary organisation behaviour performance measurement (OBPM) framework for enterprises in the emerging global knowledge economy. It integrates the dimensions of OB, CG and SCM by the development of an open socio-technical systems (OSTS) framework within a new model called ‘data envelopment analysis of corporate social responsibility’ (DEACSR). This framework addresses the importance of stakeholders at various stages of the supply chain, the style of management and design of organisation, as well as the need to be able to measure qualitative contributors, such as CSR, to organisation performance. In all instances of performance management however, present levels of performance must be measured before they can be improved. Therefore, this proposed framework embeds extended appropriate dimensions of measures of corporate operations and performance in the contemporary world. To implement the OBPM framework, the data envelopment analysis (DEA) linear programming technique of operations research is used to generate a ranking of CSR-related efficient performing business units. DEA is widely regarded as an effective modelling technique for the measurement of efficiencies in similar decision-making units (DMUs). The software, DEA Solver Pro 4.1, was applied to the ‘corporate social responsibility management capacity’ (CSRMC) dimensions of the OBPM framework in an Australian bank with national and international operations, thus providing a new application. DEA was applied to 231 DMUs of the bank to identify which were the most efficient CSR performers even though the bank itself, has achieved premier gold star ratings on national CSR indices for the last four years. The DEA results have listed 11 fully efficient (100%) units and rank ordered the remainder. The efficient units have strong characteristics of humanistic participative management, organisational support and empowerment, a commitment to business ethics and stakeholder acknowledgement and support. In addition, inter-item correlations of these characteristics for the efficient DMUs show that the results are not only plausible, but comprehensive and intuitively correct. Therefore the results support an OBPM framework on the basis that: 1) DEA is an effective instrument in the operations research methodology used to elicit efficiently performing business units; since 2) CSR is validated as a significant dimension of corporate governance; due to 3) the organisational behaviour inherent in an humanistic OSTS-designed enterprise which enhances corporate citizenship. The implications of an OBPM framework and the DEA results obtained by applying this framework are as follows: 1) The OBPM framework is consistent with the need to redesign the corporation of the future, as the OSTS-designed organisation can display synergies in the technical and social subsystems xvi through the enhanced performance of collaborative relationships within the organisation and the whole supply network. 2) Humanistic styles of management, with the characteristics of business ethics and stakeholder empowerment, contributes to organisation performance. 3) CSR is a platform for stakeholder engagement and an essential element of organisation performance. The limitation to this study is that the non-parametric nature of DEA means it is not applicable to the measurement of performance in every instance. This thesis has made an original contribution to the literature in the area of performance measurement theory; by developing a new approach to performance measurement which goes beyond traditional financial measures, by implying new developments in OB and management theory, CG, and SCM, and by implementing this new performance measurement approach with DEA. The quest for enterprises to be competitive in the contemporary global economy will inevitably lead them to a reconfiguration of the OSTS design presented in this thesis.

During the past two decades Supply Chain Management (SCM) has become a popular topic of business discussions. SCM presents a business philosophy of improving the long-term performance of individual companies and the supply chain (SC) as a whole and, as a result, attains or sustains a company's competitive position. The practical implementation of SCM has a number of constraints. The basic problems facing SCM are difficulties in adopting a SCM philosophy, the lack of general theory, difficulties of system thinking, and the unique characteristics of agribusiness SCs. Contemporary SCM theory is mainly descriptive and modern SCM research is predominately deductive. Research on SC performance measurement systems (PMSs) has not provided co-ordinated measurement of the bi-directional system flows (material, financial and informational). Available systems do not provide quantifiable measures for the network optimisation decision-making process. In this study an alternative approach to SCM problem resolution was developed. The three SC flows were integrated through the evaluation of their normalised performance measurements (NPMs). The NPM system was developed based on the primary concept that the performance of each SC flow within a SC may be uniformly measured using comparable sets of characteristics. This primary concept was then used as a basis to evaluate higher levels of system performance such as two-party contractual performance and then the performance of the total SC. Special attention was paid to the strategic level of SC analysis and optimisation. The suggested methodology was used to demonstrate how performance improvement of the SC as a whole is interrelated to the performance improvement of individual companies. Case evaluation of the proposed methodology allowed identification of the supply chain wave effect. This effect quantifies how the performance of one chain member affects the performance levels of other system participants. The application of game theory to the methodology indicated that a stable optimum SC strategy might be reached when business performances are balanced along the chain. The case study suggested that chain participants tend to move toward a stable optimum strategy over time. This research may be used as a prescriptive tool for a range of agri-food chain studies. Extended case evaluation is required to test the robustness of the suggested methods.

The main aim or purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the supply chain management on service delivery on the Limpopo Department of Economic, Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET). The field survey was conducted in LEDET in the supply chain management directorate after gaining permission from the Head of Department of LEDET. The study was qualitative in design. Semi-structured interviews and questionnaires were used. The questionnaire has both open ended and closed ended questionnaires. The supply chain management directorate plays an important role in all the departments in South Africa as a whole. Supply chain management in South Africa was created to improve the lives of the communities such as historically disadvantaged individuals, disabled and women, but it is no longer serving its purpose because nowadays it is serving the few politicians, public officials and the friends and relatives of the public officials. One of the findings of this study is that the supply chain management directorate cannot function properly if the public officials who are appointed does not have relevant qualifications, training and experience towards supply chain management. There should always have uniformity of supply chain management in the three spheres of government to prevent corruption. Supply chain management must be centralised. This means that all the tender contract of the three spheres of government must be done in one centralised unit. Linking of the databases in the three spheres of government can also help the supply chain management not to appoint the same service providers in the tender contract. Appointment of service providers must be done electronically to minimize all forms of corruption. To improve service delivery the public officials must know how to interpret the acts, rules, regulations and policies governing supply chain management. They must also monitor and evaluate the entire contract from the start to the end of the contract The public officials working in the supply chain management must be paid competitive salaries, because they are compelled by the low salaries to corruption such as bribery, fraud, nepotism, extortion, embezzlement and conflict of interest become common in place. It is further recommended that the officials working in the supply chain management, who are getting lower salaries must also be evaluated and upgraded to the higher salary, depending on their qualification, experience and training.

Logistics has became one of the most important activities for all companies where has been treated as strategic function to gain competitive advantage over a companies' competitors. Agribusiness as any other business is also using logistics tools in their supply chain to reduce their chain cost and more important to improve their business efficiency as a whole. Transportation is one of the logistics activities that most influences price of product which in some cases can represent 25% of the final price. Milk collection for a dairy business plays an important part in the overall performance of the company. A poor milk collection system jeopardise the entire chain as it is the first stage of the manufacturing process. The main purpose of this work is to identify and describe the possible differences and similarities between a Brazilian and New Zealand Dairy Company regarding their logistics of milk collection. Even though the two companies are in the same business segment they are inserted in different environments/markets therefore need to deal with different issues regarding milk collection such as companies' structure, milk production's cycle, and routing and scheduling applications. However, both understand the importance of the logistics activities and apply tools in their chain to improve their efficiency. Due to its size and market share the New Zealand Company has a better collection system in place than the Brazilian Company. Both have implemented some changes in the last few years that brought some improvements for their milk collection.

Inclusive growth is contested yet adopted by the World Bank to reduce poverty and inequality through rapid economic growth. Research has tested inclusive growth in sectors including agriculture, but few studies apply it to tourism which is significant for many developing countries. The paper interrogates tourism-led inclusive growth: supply chains, economic linkages/leakage, ownership, employment and expenditure. It draws from fieldwork in Vietnam where tourism has rapidly developed with partial economic benefits for local communities, but does not appear to fall within the inclusive growth paradigm. It is unclear if tourism-led growth will become any more inclusive in the short-to-medium term.

Since the whole world society becomes more and more globalization, the international tourist hotels make every effort to pursue a more refined diet and chase the top cuisine. Therefore, purchasing the highest quality food materials to make the best cuisine from the different areas of the world becomes the main trend. Yet, the earth environment is impacted indirectly by those high food miles food, higher carbon dioxide emissions and largest amount of the kitchen waste. Recently, many countries gradually focus on those environment issues and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), but that somehow affect the competitive strength of the hotel industries. Therefore, many international tourist hotels start looking for the equilibrium point of taking care of both revenues and social responsibilities. How to reduce the food miles, the emissions of carbon dioxide and the kitchen waste, but won’t affect the corporations’ business benefit and the goal of the business sustainable development, become the biggest issue of international tourist hotels. According to recent years’ Monthly Report on Tourist Hotel Operations in Taiwan, which was published by Tourism Bureau of Taiwan, the percentages of food and beverage revenue and rental revenue are almost equal, even more than the room night revenue. Therefore, the casting services of international tourist hotel have put more efforts searching the fine food to get more revenue, but wish to avoid impacts to the environment. The main purpose of this study is applying TRIZ theory to construct the Green Supply Chain management (GSCM) strategies for the international tourist hotel. Based on the theory of TRIZ, we use the contradiction matrix to compare against the paradox of the environmental impacts, which were generated by the fine cuisine. Then we search for the solutions with TRIZ 40 innovation principles, propose our strategies, and construct a Green Supply Chain Model. Accordance with this GSCM model would offer the purchasing department of international tourist hotel feedback to the direction of purchasing process and the strategy of future planning. Moreover, the application of TRIZ creates its practical value for the specific industry in Green Supply Chain Management field.

Hotel business features integration, service-oriented, management with a multi-goal purpose, and it is a leisure business that sells “personal service”. It is not only a new attempt and thinking pattern to apply the hotel VIP service to the supplier’s management system, but also a close partnership between each apartment in the hotel and outside suppliers. However, studying the VIP service in hotel management can be difficult because in flaming competition among hotel’s rivals, hotels rarely reveal their services for their VIP publicly, and only their VIP know what customized services hotels offer them. Thus, the research has been executed in a qualitative case study. According to literature review, data are collected from international hotels through the observation of being a hotel staff to serve VIP, field trips to hotels, and an actual understanding of VIP customized services in detail interviews. The results showed that the satisfactory quality of VIP service depended on the close successful cooperation between the hotel and outside suppliers. For instance, an urgent unsatisfactory room change could result in procrastination for contacting hotel’s room attendants. This may impressed the VIP inefficiently and unsatisfactorily. If the outside suppliers couldn’t efficiently back up amenity center suppliers for the logistic supporting, the VIP service might not be able to meet the VIP customers’ satisfactions and expectations. This study also revealed the importance to a successful partnership between a hotel and outside suppliers.

Καθώς οι επιχειρήσεις έχουν την τάση να γιγαντώνονται με στόχο την αύξηση των κερδών τους, και με δεδομένο ότι οικονομίες είναι ανοιχτές και δε γνωρίζουν φυσικά σύνορα, τελικά, οδηγούμαστε στην ανάγκη για συνεργασίες μεταξύ των επιχειρήσεων που θα τους επιτρέπουν αφενός να επιτύχουν το βέλτιστο ποιοτικά αποτέλεσμα και αφετέρου με το μικρότερο δυνατό κόστος. Αυτό οδηγεί στην ανάγκη να υπάρξει ένας τρόπος διαχείρισης των ροών εργασιών που απαρτίζουν τις διαδικασίες αυτές. Έτσι, ανατπύχθηκαν μηχανές ροών εργασιών (workflow engine) που επιτρέπουν την διαχείριση των ροών με αποδοτικό και βέλτιστο τρόπο. Στην παρούσα διπλωματική ασχολούμαστε με τη χρήση workflow συστημάτων για την επίλυση του προβλήματος της αποδοτικής διαχείρισης της εφοδιαστικής αλυσίδας (supply chain) στις τουριστικές επιχειρήσεις. Για την αποδοτική λειτουργία των εφοδιαστικών αλυσίδων απαιτείται η ύπαρξη ενός συστήματος διαχείρισής τους, με σκοπό να οργανώνει και να συγχρονίζει τις διαφορετικές οντότητες που παίρνουν μέρος σε όλα τα βήματα μιας εφοδιαστικής αλυσίδας. Έτσι, έχουν αναπτυχθεί τέτοια συστήματα διαχείρισης, όπου με την βοήθεια των υπολογιστών μοντελοποιούν και καταγράφουν όλα τα βήματα της εφοδιαστικής αλυσίδας, κάνοντας έτσι αποδοτική την λειτουργία της. Αφού παρουσιαστούν τα πιο δημοφιλή open source workflow engines, στη συνέχεια υλοποιούμε την δική μας workflow engine που επιλύει το πρόβλημα της διαχείρισης των εφοδιαστικών αλυσίδων σε τουριστικές επιχειρήσεις. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, αναπτύχθηκε ένα basic custom workflow engine προσαρμοσμένο στις ανάγκες των τουριστικών επιχειρήσεων όσον αφορά τη διαδικασία διαχείρισης της εφοδιαστικής τους αλυσίδας στο κομμάτι από την δημιουργία μιας νέας παραγγελίας από προϊόντα και πρώτες ύλες μέχρι το τελικό βήμα της αποδοχής της παραγγελίας από τους υπεύθυνους των τουριστικών επιχειρήσεων. Η εφαρμογή που υλοποιήθηκε είναι web based application. Οι web εφαρμογές παρουσιάζουν αρκετά πλεονεκτήματα έναντι των παραδοσιακών desktop εφαρμογών, τα οποία και παρουσιάζονται στη διπλωματική αυτή.
