Анотація:
The paper examines a thematic group of proverbs and sayings about the master, skill, craft, material, tools, and products of the master in Russian and non-ethnic material. It also involves, for comparison, the material of riddles of a similar subject. The study reveals the main traditional ideas about the master and mastery, similar in various ethno-cultural traditions and relevant to this day: mastery should bring income; any craft is necessary; each person is a master in his own realm; craft requires specialization; mastery is determined by trained students; a real master does not give advice to another, etc. The variants and ethnic versions of the paroemias often highlight specific, often contradictory nuances of these ideas. In the paroemias, we are talking primarily about artisans and people engaged in household works. Mastery is associated primarily with manual labor, less often in the Russian tradition, it relates to creative people. The paroemias confirm the blacksmith's special status in mythology, history and culture. In addition to didactic, informative, prescriptive functions, the analyzed paroemias also perform emotive one. Riddles of similar subjects associate the human with the natural, thereby affirming the natural source of human skill and the skill of Mother Nature herself.

Анотація:
The objective of this research is to explain how the Master and Mastery cards game improves students’ vocabulary acquisition and participation learning process of applying Master and Mastery cards game in teaching vocabulary for tenth-grade students of a vocational school. This research was carried out with a classroom action research design. Field notes were the instruments to collect the qualitative data. While the vocabulary test and gained the quantitative data that strengthen the quantitative data. The increasing of the test 1 and test 2 was 22.83 point. Responding to that result the teacher-researcher decided to stop the cycle at cycle two. According to the researcher and co-observer’s observation students participated actively while playing Master and Mastery vocabulary cards game. This research significantly increased students’ vocabulary acquisition as well as participation.Keywords: Master and Mastery Cards Game, Vocabulary Acquisition, Participation

Анотація:
Purpose Knowledge sharing in a master-apprentice pattern is the process of transferring tacit knowledge from masters to apprentices. In addition, 90 per cent of knowledge required for organizational innovation is tacit knowledge in the master-apprentice pattern. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the evolution of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern and explore the consequences of how to improve the knowledge sharing in the master-apprentice pattern. Design/methodology/approach This paper uses asymmetric evolutionary game theory to study the evolutionary track of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern of innovative organizations by analyzing the utility of masters and apprentices during the process of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern of the innovative organization. Findings The results reveal that when the masters obtained utility from sharing knowledge is greater than that from hoarding knowledge, and the apprentices obtained utility from studying hard is greater than the costs, the innovative organization can get the largest utility from the knowledge sharing in the mater-apprentice pattern. Research limitations/implications The limitation of the research is that this paper mainly studies knowledge sharing among individuals and does not research knowledge sharing between individuals and organizations. Practical implications This research has extended the understanding of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice and its evolution path. Also, the obtained findings are conducive to promoting knowledge sharing in master-apprentice and improving human resource management in innovative organizations. Originality/value This paper attempts to construct the evolution path of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern, which is a useful exploration of the dynamics of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern and makes up for the shortcomings of the existing research.

Анотація:
A recently proposed paraxial ray-based technique for relative location of microseismicity is extended to accommodate several master events with respect to which other events, termed the slaves, are located. The multi-master extension addresses two issues inherent for the existing single-master algorithm: a gradual decrease of its accuracy with the distance from the master and less than satisfactory performance in the presence of strong velocity heterogeneity. Those deficiencies are handled by applying an improved paraxial traveltime formula, exact in homogeneous elliptically anisotropic media, and by distributing masters in the subsurface to sample its heterogeneity. The contributions of different master events to the hypocenter of a given slave are automatically weighted to enhance the influence of adjacent masters, ensuring the precise slave location, and to suppress distant ones, tending to increase the slave-location errors. Tests of the multi-master relative event-location method on synthetic and field microseismic data demonstrate its precision and flexibility as well as applicability to both surface and downhole microseismic geometries.

Анотація:
The range and capabilities of multiple new media require us to master paradoxical aspects of their uses and implications. Furthermore, those same media may also come to master us, through those paradoxes. Based on prior literature, we develop a four-component taxonomy of sites of media mastery (technology, technology-use, social contexts, and individual aspects). We apply and extend this framework to analyze summaries of focus group comments from students in a Norwegian and a U.S. university about their experiences attempting to master computers and mobile phones. From these results, we apply thematic analysis to identify five paradoxes associated with the use of these devices throughout the media mastery taxonomy as well as a tension between using media convergence or media comparison to master multiple new media.

The paper proves that master students scientific research is the essence for teacher training professional development. The authors describe the model, substantiate approaches to master students scientific research position and content understanding based on their analyses of the experience of master students scientific research predictive model representation. Methodologically these are activity and research approaches; and their implementation principles are practice-oriented educational process principle, activity and creative content of education principle and the educational process personalization principle. The paper exposes to light the experience of master students scientific research organization pedagogical conditions implementation (scientific research building into the theoretical and practical courses of master degree program study; its presentation as a means of master students personal pedagogical experience and professional activity evaluation and correction; master students personal pedagogical experience use as a base in the process of theoretical course study; the connection of theoretical courses, practical trainings, work on masters thesis). The paper highlights peculiarities of master students scientific research organization process. These peculiarities are: the search of leading pedagogical experience, academic research organization; teaching practice and theoretical courses educational program composition on the basis of research and education problems solving and projects implementation; the educational research and scientific research practical training content connection with masters thesis subject; simulation training as a method of enquiry and transformation of pedagogical reality and etc.

This study aims to determine: 1) Want to know and analyze the performance of masters at Public Vocational School 1 Ketapang in carrying out their duties as masters; 2) Want to know and analyze what work maturity can improve master's performance at Public Vocational School 1 Ketapang; 3) Want to know and analyze the efforts made by the master of Public Vocational School 1 Ketapang in improving performance as a master. Measurement in this study using qualitative methods. The results and analysis show that: 1) Based on the results of observations, interviews, and documentation studies conducted by researchers on informants (research subjects), namely the masters of State Vocational High Schools, it shows that the masters have met several assessment indicators for each aspect. 2) Based on the results of the research on the masters of Public Vocational School 1 Ketapang above, it shows that the performance of the masters of Public Vocational School 1 Ketapang in terms of professional competence is in the fairly good category. This is because the master has fulfilled several assessment indicators in mastering the material, structure, concept, and scientific mindset that supports the subject, developing creatively guided subject matter, continuing professional development by taking reflective actions and utilizing information and communication technology to develop themselves. 3) Efforts made by the master of Public Vocational School 1 Ketapang in improving performance as a master, from the learning outcomes, namely by carrying out their duties as well as possible and continuing to improve pedagogic and professional competencies.

The author avoids using the term master/Master, instead referring to the concept of a Teacher when describing the people who played a significant role in her life and who are the main protagonists of this article. These people are the Professors Anna Kutrzeba-Pojnarowa and Witold Dynowski, ethnologists, excellent lecturers and researchers; and also people full of passion, respect for the achievements of other scholars, fascinated with the history of the discipline they represent and the interrelation of “macro” and “micro” history. First and foremost, they are great PEOPLE. Reminiscing about encounters with them, the author presents the model relationship between a teacher and a pupil, close to her, which is not limited to passing knowledge. The relationship is based on kindness, openness to others, and motivating them to overcome their limitations, fears and difficulties. The skills of noticing the potential of others, encouraging them to develop, acceptance, keeping one’s spirits up, support and co-existence should also be mentioned. Another person who also played the role of Teacher, although she has never been designated as such by the author, is her Grandmother Janina Orzechowska. She was the one who shaped the author’s attitudes to life, her way of looking at other people, her passions and ways of being. She was the person whose selfless love expressed by her behavior, gestures and looks accompanied the author from an early age. The motif of the relationship is very explicit in the text. The author emphasizes that relationships are not always joyful and constructive. Sometimes they clip one’s wings, they hurt and take away the light. Relationships which are beautiful in the beginning can also change under the influence of an illness, of one person affecting the others. The author describes changes like that via the example of the relationship with someone who appears in the text as the anonymous Teacher. It was a person from whom the author received a bitter lesson in life, far from fairy tales with a happy end.

AbstractThe Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Request For Proposals called for several dramatic changes in the acquisition process along the guidelines proposed by the Packard Commission. The ATF EMD Program was to truly be an event‐based program, as opposed to being driven predominantly by a schedule produced before the proposals were submitted. How can a major aircraft EMD program be managed apart from a schedule? Of course, it cannot. For the F‐22 EMD Program, an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) was developed, defining all essential tasks in a hierarchial and Integrated Product Team format. The IMP describes the Events, Significant Accomplishments, and Accomplishment Criteria to be completed to the satisfaction of the SPO/Contractor team throughout the nine year EMD Program. The IMP indicates which Work Breakdown Structure element is primarily tasked with each Accomplishment Criteria, the multiple Accomplishment Criteria under a specific Significant Accomplishment, and the multiple Significant Accomplishments necessary to successfully demonstrate satisfactory Event closure. The IMP is a contractual document, without calendar dates. An associated Integrated Master Schedule expands the contractual IMP by adding an expected schedule to every Event, Significant Accomplishment, and Accomplishment Criteria. The IMS also adds sub‐criteria Tasks to some Accomplishment Criteria. In the early stages of the EMD Program, the IMP has already demonstrated its value by instilling a discipline to the concurrent engineering nature of the F‐22 Program that might otherwise have been very difficult to achieve.

Abstract The master-disciple relationship requires a mutual recognition and dependency based on mutual passion and devotion, regardless of each member’s social, cultural, political, and ethical background. It is shaped by mystical etiquette as detailed in the Sufi tradition. The relationship between spiritual masters and their disciples has been dealt with at length in many studies, mainly based on the descriptions provided in normative Sufi texts. The present article demonstrates new perspectives in discussing how master-disciple relationships can be more complex than what the Sufi manuals portray. A close reading of the letters from the Ottoman sultan Murād III (r. 982–1003/1574–95) to his spiritual master Şücāʿ Dede provides insight into the struggles of the sultan with the realities of a master-disciple relationship as well as how the dependency is negotiated in real life. By presenting the inner dynamics of such a relationship from a disciple’s perspective, the letters of Murād III vividly exhibit that the master-disciple relationship has not always been as straightforward and pure in actual practice as it is described to be in the theoretical literature.

The author’s reflections, which include an autobiographical note, focus on local research communities, that is, communities where the living scholarly discourse usually unfolds within one paradigm and the teachings of a Master which fill this paradigm. The starting point is the observation, referring mostly to the broadly understood humanities, that the discourse within a community which centres on a Master is sometimes imbued with the critical, sometimes even opposing narrations of anti-masters. In the primary relationship, the anti-masters and the Master confront each other as living people, as researchers who sometimes engage in an open debate and sometimes raise a dividing wall of critical silence. Taking into consideration the scale and the contents of these confrontations, the author distinguishes four categories of anti-masters. He also points out that the role of anti-masters in local research communities is often beneficial, especially from the long-term perspective. Their narratives may inspire and expand the community’s scholarly horizons, including, as does occasionally happen, the views of wise Masters and their faithful disciples.

Анотація:
This paper presents the results of studying non-state actors’ institutional support for masters’ teachers. The authors analyze the tracks of the introduction and a «life cycle» of the master’s educational product created with the support of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation – the only non-commercial organization in Russia which supports students and professors at the master’s level. The study shows that the support for masters’ teachers makes a significant contribution to changing the role of this degree in higher education. There are outlined the long-term effects of supporting masters’ teachers, which are supposed to create an environment for developing talents, improving the educational results of master students, teachers’ advanced training, and integrating master programs into university’s and region’s strategic goals of development. For higher education researchers, for teachers and managers of master programs, for university administrators, and for higher education transformation decision makers in Russia.

Head masters of schools are considered essential part in education system to impact teachers’ teaching commitment to improve classroom instruction for attaining quality education. This demanded the need of this study to investigate role of head master of secondary schools on effective science teaching at Darrang and Udalguri district. The study was guided by descriptive survey method. This study explores supervision quality of head masters and science teachers’ perceptions of effective science teaching for the improvement of classroom instruction. The study was carried out from a population of secondary schools in Darrang and Udalguri district of Assam. A purposive sample of 40 head masters and 120 science teachers selected from 70 secondary schools from two districts of the state was used for the study. A research instrument tagged self- prepared questionnaire was used to elicit information from the teachers and head masters. The findings further showed that the classroom instruction is improved by the continuous supervision and monitoring of Head master of secondary schools. English abstract: Land is a key resource and an epicenter of struggle in Ethiopia, as indicated by the incident that sparked a powerful protest in Oromia in 2015. The protest quickly galvanized against the Addis Ababa Master Plan, which government officials represented as a “development plan,” while the protesters counter-framed it as a “Master Killer,” highlighting the immanent risks of land dispossession and displacement of people. This article employs a political-ecological approach to examine environmental, socio-cultural, and political-economic implications of the Master Plan and the resistance against it as a signifier of wider issues of contestation connected to land and displacement. It highlights contemporary grievances of the Oromo people in relation to unresolved historical questions and outlines the responses of the government to the protest.Spanish abstract:La tierra es un recurso clave y un epicentro de lucha en Etiopía. En el 2015 surgió una poderosa protesta en Oromia contra el Plan Maestro de Addis Abeba, presentado por el gobierno como un “plan de desarrollo”, mientras que los manifestantes lo enmarcaron como un “Asesino Maestro”, destacando los inminentes riesgos de la desposesión de tierras y el desplazamiento de personas. Cet article utilise une approche d’écologie politique pour examiner ses implications dans le sens d’une protestation autour de la terre et du déplacement. Il analyse le programme directeur et la protestation des Oromos dans le cadre des principes idéologiques et structurels du gouvernement, de ses politiques et de ses pratiques.

The electronic or pneumatic multi-section and multi-probe gauges are widely used for diameter and coaxiality measurements due to their high measurement efficiency in workshops. However, their measurement accuracy is determined mainly by the manufacturing errors of the assembly coaxiality master, therefore, how to establish coaxiality measurement datum reference is the key technology. The physical coaxiality masters are expected to be the impossible "zero error datum reference". The higher manufacturing accuracy of the masters, the more expensive for their manufacturing costs. A novel mathematical method on the basis of error separation principle was proposed in order to separate the manufacturing errors of the master. The basic principle is that the eccentric error of the coaxiality master can be expressed as the first harmonic function and the ideal zero-error datum reference could be established by the mathematical method of two sampling operations in phase difference of 180° in coaxiality master for gauge initialization. This method can be called as "mathematical datum reference" for coaxiality measurement. Experimental results indicate that the coaxiality measurement results of the multi-section and multi-probe gauge by the novel mathematical method coincide with those of the three-coordinate measuring machine and the maximum difference of both is about 0.0014 mm. The new coaxiality measurement principle can separate the datum error of the coaxiality master theoretically and can improve the coaxiality measurement accuracy greatly with the common accuracy coaxiality master.

The work is devoted to the philosophy of mastery presented in the tales of the Ural writer Pavel Petrovich Bazhov. The basis of the phenomenon of mastery is the classical philosophy of Plato in its Socratic version. The authors of the article see it as their goal to prove the close relationship between the practical handicraft Ural art, represented in the mythology and literature of P.P. Bazhov, and the classical metaphysical attitudes of European philosophy. The personality of the master becomes a cementing link between the natural world and the world of culture. Mastery in its philosophical and practical form acts as a support for the natural attitude towards nature, art, and towards man in general. The authors decipher the phenomenon of mastery in the tales of P.P. Bazhov, analyze his modes and the specifics of manifestation. Ural tales of P.P. Bazhov in describing the phenomena of mastery and genuine creative attitude to nature repeat the structure of the classical attitude to the world and logically correspond to the structure of the creative attitude of the master poet to the object he creates. The specificity of the Ural artcraftsmanship lies in the fact that the personality of the master is embodied not in an ideologist, not in a religious preacher, not in an intellectual, but in a master who interacts with the elements of nature as concretely and closely as possible. The work immerses P.P. Bazhov’s legends, written during the Soviet period of Russian history, in the global context of research into the nature of genuine living creativity, and also emphasizes the regional and very special specific aspect in the Ural mastery.

Several masters of different levels participated in the decoration of the three volumes of the Bible of the Mint Master Petr Zmrzlík of Svojšín (1411-1414), the oldest preserved copy of the full text of the first edition of the Bible translated into Czech -after the disappearance of the Dresden Bible. Previous studies did not sufficiently consider the different levels of decoration that are similar to the “ Beau Style” (Schöner Stil) and it is to the contribution of Markéta Pražáková that we owe a change of perspective on the quality of the illuminations. If we can agree that the painter, who until now was called Zmrzlík’s Master of the Bible, was the main illuminator (the Master of the Book of Psalms), we can identify several hands under the term workshop of the Master of the Book of Psalms. The article refines certain propositions made by Markéta Pražáková and proposes other identifications-for example, for the miniatures attributed to the Master of the Prophecy of Joel : the Master of the Mandeville Travels can be considered as the author of three of them, the others were executed by the Master of the Antwerp Bible. Finally, we must rethink the identification of the illuminator called the Master of the Book of Esther. In fact, his style shows that this is, once more, the work of the Master of the Antwerp Bible.

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to analyze the motive of mastery in modern artistic traditionalism. Results. The works of F. Abramov, V. Shukshin, and V. Rasputin as representatives of the socio-moral, existential, and ‘mystical’ lines of development of this movement were chosen for our research. We separate the motif of craft and the the actual creative act, and analyze the effect of luminophany typical to the latter. In Shukshin’s work, the motive of skill correlates with the plot of civilization, the characters leave the countryside in search of wisdom. In the early texts, the city is presented as a promising space for the formation of personality, in the later ones, on the contrary, the image of the city gets a tragic resolution, the master chooses the path of a hired craftsman who repeats other people's patterns. The real hero here is ‘strange’, ‘foolish’, who does not know how to make practical use of the skill. He creates his world as a miracle, a refuge where you can escape from the cruel present. In Abramov’s work, the themes of labor and skill are key, the social efforts of masters are important, they strive to transform the house, the countryside, and Russia here and now. There is an ethicization of labor, labor becomes a commandment, a prayer, the masters themselves belong to the fabulous chronotope, perform the functions of demiurges, opening up to the profane crafts, culture, and the vertical. Women often show skill in men's professions, which is due to the unique traits of the post-war period. The motif of skill in Rasputin's later texts correlates with the motif of death. The theme of the master and his fate unfolds in the story Izba, where the question arises about a new hero who can lead the nation out of the spiritual impasse. Rasputin, disappointed in the possibilities of a patriarchal man, leaves the chance for the renewal of the universe to a woman whose feat is set off by the presence of the master Savelii, whose image is enhanced by the figure of Orpheus. When the masters no longer have a place, in reality, they establish personal contact with time, and Eternity resonates with the question of man. Conclusion. Over the centuries, the experience of searching for ‘secret freedom’, the creation of the master of light, accumulates, is transmitted from generation to generation, which determines the existence of culture.

Purpose: to study the effect of an identical training process on the functional state of high-level sprint swimmers of both genders. Material and methods. The heart rate variability indices, central hemodynamic parameters and PWC170/kg measurements were compared between 86 male and 42 female swimmers with sports qualifications from first-class athlete to Master of Sports International Class, and separately, – between 38 males and 9 females (Masters of Sports and Masters of Sports International Class), 28 males and 16 females (Candidates for Masters of Sports), and 22 males and 17 females (first-class athletes). The results. In the general group (86 males vs. 42 females) only the greater value of PWC170/kg in males by 12.64 % (p<0.001) was revealed, without any differences in heart rate variability and central hemodynamics. Masters of Soprts and Masters of Sports International Class, as well as Candidates for Masters of Sports, didn't have gender differences in all indicators studied. In first-class athletes, there were no gender differences in heart rate variability and central hemodynamic parameters, except for PWC170/kg, which in males was greater by 11.27 % (p=0.036). Conclusions. A comparison of 86 male and 42 female swimmers with sports qualifications from first-class athlete to Master of Sports International Class, who differed by age and training experience, showed no significant differences in HRV and central hemodynamic parameters except for PWC170/kg, which was 12.64 % higher in males (p<0.001). There were no significant differences between all studied indices in 38 male and 9 female swimmers with sports qualifications Master of Sports and Master of Sports International Class, with no differences in age or training experience. Comparison of 28 male and 16 female swimmers with sports qualification Candidate for Master of Sports, not differing by age and training experience showed no significant differences in HRV and central hemodynamic parameters, except for PWC170/kg, which was greater in males by 11.27 % (p=0.034). In 22 male and 17 female swimmers with sports qualification first-class athlete, not differing by age (males have greater training experience) there were no differences between all studied indices.

EtherCAT is one of the preferred real-time Ethernet technologies. However, EtherCAT is not applicable in high-end control fields due to real-time constraints. Clock synchronization and cycle time are the most representative limitations. In this paper, a novel Heterogeneous Parallel System Architecture (HPSA) with features of parallel computation and hard real-time is presented. An HPSA-based EtherCAT hard real-time master is developed to significantly improve clock synchronization and shorten cycle time. Traditional EtherCAT masters feature serial processing and run on a PC. This HPSA-based master consists of two parts: EtherCAT master stack (EMS) and EtherCAT operating system (EOS). EMS implements the parallel operation of EtherCAT to realize the shorter cycle time, and EOS brings a hard real-time environment to the HPSA-based master to improve clock synchronization. Furthermore, this HPSA-based master operates on a heterogeneous System-on-a-chip (SoC). EMS and EOS form a heterogeneous architecture inside this SoC to achieve low-latency process scheduling. Experimental results show that in our HPSA-based EtherCAT hard real-time master, the cycle time reaches the sub-50 μs range, and the synchronization error reduces to several nanoseconds. Thus, this HPSA-based master has great application value in high-performance control systems.

SUMMARYComplex tasks that need to be performed through teleoperation led to the development of multifinger robot hands. A dextrous master is a multi-DOF controller which is worn by the operator in order to teleoperate these anthropomorphic hands. Force feedback is very useful when there is interaction with the environment. Providing force feedback to dextrous masters is an area of active research. We outline some of the human factors that influence the design of such masters. Of obvious importance is the hand geometry and the desired number of degrees of freedom. Additional criteria relate to the force perception of the hand. Finally, the man-machine impedance is of importance, since at the man/machine interface there are two impedances acting in series. One is the effective impedance of the human operator holding the master controller, the second is the impedance of the master controller being manipulated.
