Анотація:
Waxi corn, which is included in the cereal plant group, is a food source for meeting the needs of life and has an important role in fulfilling community nutrition. Efforts to increase production that include quantity and quality can be made by applying NPK phonska fertilizer and spacing out planters to minimize the occurrence of competition. The study was to obtain the interaction caused by various doses of NPK phonska dose with different spacings on maize plants and to obtain the optimum dose of NPK phonska and ideal spacing to produce the optimum pulut maize plant. Using a factorial randomized block study design (RAKF)consisting of two treatment factors, each combination was repeated 3 times. Phoska NPK treatment consists of three levels (P1:50; P2:100 and P3:150)kg/ha, While the spacing treatment includes (J1: 50x 40; J2: 60x40 and J3: 70x40) cm. Data is collected non-descriptively. level F test5% to go to treatment. The interaction effect is based on Duncan's 5% test and LSD 5% test for a single treatment difference phonska test on the variable length of cropping cobs and yield hectare with a percentage increase of 15,19% and 28,33% respectively, the single treatment of plant spacing had a significant effect on the variable cob weight cropping weights 33,73%.

Abstract Introduction Sleep plays a critical role in memory consolidation. At the same time, about 20% of population in the U.S. suffer from sleep disorders or deprivation, and about 16% of them reported using sleep aids (CDC, 2015). However, the effect of sleep aids on sleep-dependent memory consolidation remains unclear. Previous studies have observed an improvement in sleep-dependent declarative memory consolidation with zolpidem over a daytime nap (Mednick et al., 2013). The current study investigates the effect of zolpidem on declarative memory consolidation over a night of sleep and over 24 hours. Methods This study employed a double-blind, placebo-controlled, within-subject design, in which every subject (N=26, 12 females) experienced both zolpidem and placebo. All subjects were healthy, college-aged adults without sleep disorder. A 32-channel electroencephalogram cap was used to record brain activity during sleep. Word paired-associates task was used to evaluate memory performance. Participants reported to the laboratory in the evening, performed word paired-associates task (test1), then ingested either zolpidem or placebo before sleep. They were tested on the task in the following morning (test2) as well as in the following evening (test3). Paired-sample t-tests for retrieval difference scores between placebo and zolpidem conditions were conducted. Results Participants showed similar baseline performance on the word paired-associates task (test 1, p=0.45). Zolpidem condition showed higher memory retention compared to placebo 24hr after drug ingestion (test3-test1, t₂ 5=2.09, p<0.05). The improvement in performance for zolpidem condition occurred across the following day (test3-test2, t₂ 5=2.22, p<0.05), as no difference was observed between conditions after sleep (test2-test1, t₂ 5=0.34, p=0.74) Conclusion Consistent with previous studies, participants showed better memory performance after taking zolpidem compared to placebo. However, the current study showed that the improvement in memory occurred across a day of wakefulness after nighttime drug ingestion, while other studies observed improvements shortly after sleep, indicating a potential delayed benefit of zolpidem on memory consolidation. Objective: to conduct research on health state, body satisfaction, eating disorders (EDs), body investments, and self-esteem among adult dancers. Methods: General Health Questionnaire, WHO Well-Being Index, Body Satisfaction Scale, Human Figure Drawing Test, Body Investment Scale, Eating Attitudes Test, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Results: 45.8% of female and 21.2% of male dancers have significant symptoms/ diseases. 7.4% of females are underweight, besides 5.9% of females and 15.6% of males are overweight. 11.6% of females are at risk for EDs. Ballroom dancers are the most dissatisfied with their body and weight, and they are the most symptomatic concerning EDs. Modern dancers are the most protected regarding body-related extremes. Female dancers under 20 have stricter body evaluation, less body protection, more bulimic symptoms, and less self-esteem. Conclusions: An intervention programme should be implemented in dance education that provides both theoretical and practical knowledge with the participation of experts in the field of health, education, and child care as well. This may help dancers to improve health, endurance, body image, and self-esteem. The prevention of EDs must be a priority in this initiative.

Simulation is an established tool to develop and validate camera systems. The goal of autonomous driving is pushing simulation into a more important and fundamental role for safety, validation and coverage of billions of miles. Realistic camera models are moving more and more into focus, as simulations need to be more then photo-realistic, they need to be physical-realistic, representing the actual camera system onboard the self-driving vehicle in all relevant physical aspects – and this is not only true for cameras, but also for radar and lidar. But when the camera simulations are becoming more and more realistic, how is this realism tested? Actual, physical camera samples are tested in laboratories following norms like ISO12233, EMVA1288 or the developing P2020, with test charts like dead leaves, slanted edge or OECF-charts. In this article we propose to validate the realism of camera simulations by simulating the physical test bench setup, and then comparing the synthetical simulation result with physical results from the real-world test bench using the established normative metrics and KPIs. While this procedure is used sporadically in industrial settings we are not aware of a rigorous presentation of these ideas in the context of realistic camera models for autonomous driving. After the description of the process we give concrete examples for several different measurement setups using MTF and SFR, and show how these can be used to characterize the quality of different camera models.

The paper presents the results of numerical analysis and in-situ measurements of two railway bridge spans subjected to an action of moving vehicles. The railway vehicle is introduced using four simplified load models: series of concentrated forces, series of lumped masses and series of single-mass and two-mass oscillators. Numerical simulations are performed using FE method. The dynamic parameters of the vehicle and the bridge models are determined on the basis of modal identification results of existing structures – EN57 traction unit and steel bridges of 10 and 30 m theoretical span length. The vertical displacements and accelerations of the mid-span are analysed. The numerical results are referred to the results of in-situ measurements performed under operating conditions. A qualitative and quantitative comparison is made for all load models and bridge spans under analysis in the forced vibration range.

Accurate placement within levels of an ESL program is crucial for optimal teaching and learning. Commercially available tests are commonly used for placement, but their effectiveness has been found to vary. This study uses data from the Ohio Program of Intensive English (OPIE) at Ohio University to examine the value of two commercially available tests (the TOEFL ITP and the Michigan EPT) and a locally developed writing test for accurate placement decisions. Placement accuracy was measured in terms of the relationship between test scores and (1) appropriate placement levels for individual students according to their teachers, and (2) student performance in the classes. Findings support the continued use of multiple measures for more accurate placement decisions in the study context. However, the relationship between test scores and student performance, measured by students’ grades in the actual course levels and their success in advancing to a higher course level as additional indicators of the extent to which placement tests provide an accurate indication, was weak when analyzed through multiple regression and cross-tabulation, suggesting that factors other than initial proficiency are primarily determinative of student success when students have been accurately placed.

Součástí přijímacího řízení na vysoké školy jsou často i tzv. testy studijních předpokladů, se kterými se pojí řada psychometrických otázek. V příspěvku se zaměřujeme na problematiku validity těchto testů, a to jak po obsahové, konstruktové, tak i po prediktivní stránce. Z českých i zahraničních výzkumů a zkušeností vyplývá zejména nejasnost definice tzv. „předpokladů ke studiu“ i toho, co je možné považovat za „akademický úspěch“. Zmiňujeme zde výsledky některých studií na toto téma i praktické problémy, které mohou při zjišťování validity testů studijních předpokladů vyvstat. V našich úvahách se přitom opíráme o vlastní zkušenosti z analýz Testu předpokladů ke studiu na FF UP (SPF).
