By applying the case of the digital transformation of industry equipment and equipment talent training pushed by the Chongqing government, the significance of implementing 'promoting strategy' and the role of developing the regional economy are elaborated.

One series of cone welding workpiece is a key part of certain critical equipment;we detected the weld quality and geometric error to ensure the high quality. This paper we research the straight weld, the girth weld ultrasonic testing equipment and geometric errors laser automatic testing equipment. Since the testing equipments have a certain degree of correlation, this article also draws on product family design thought, the modular and parametric technique to design the different testing equipments. The kind of design greatly improves the quality, reduces the manufacturing costs, shortens the research and development cycle, receives very nice results.

As we’ve continued to explore Internet of Things (IoT) in its various applications, there has been no shortage of innovation. From medical quality to patient safety applications use in the healthcare industry, IoT has shown its worth across the board. Just as it’s helped organizations in healthcare industry thrive, the power of IoT could also mean big things for the management of medical equipment. That is to say, connected equipment’s sensors could pave the way for a fundamental change in the depth and quality of service medical equipment is able to provide. In our study, we constructed the life cycle of gastroendoscope, is used to look inside the oesophagus (gullet), stomach and first part of the small intestine (duodenum). From the procurement of equipment, the use of management to investment efficiency tracking can be applied through IoT to improve the efficiency of management. For example, we can use IoT unique identification function to carry out the inventory management, retirement and other operations. In addition, it can also be used in the management of the medical equipment to track the location, use of records, cleaning records and maintenance management. Finally, we can extract the above information to analyze the investment to evaluate the efficiency of the medical equipment. In summary, we use IoT technique in the different stages of the medical equipment life cycle, because it can provide a more accurate management model, so that users can more efficiently manage the use of equipment to improve it’s investment efficiency. The internet of things will improve the management of medical equipment that can go a long way in not only increasing equipment efficiency, but medical quality as well.

Context: Two methods have been proposed to transfer an individual in the prone position to a spine board. Researchers do not know which method provides the best immobilization. Objective: To determine if motion produced in the unstable cervical spine differs between 2 prone logrolling techniques and to evaluate the effect of equipment on the motion produced during prone logrolling. Design: Crossover study. Setting: Laboratory. Patients or Other Participants: Tests were performed on 5 fresh cadavers (3 men, 2 women; age = 83 ± 8 years, mass = 61.2 ± 14.1 kg). Main Outcome Measure(s): Three-dimensional motions were recorded during 2 prone logroll protocols (pull, push) in cadavers with an unstable cervical spine. Three equipment conditions were evaluated: football shoulder pads and helmet, rigid cervical collar, and no equipment. The mean range of motion was calculated for each test condition. Results: The pull technique produced 16% more motion than the push technique in the lateral-bending angulation direction (F1,4 = 19.922, P = .01, η2 = 0.833). Whereas the collar-only condition and, to a lesser extent, the football-shoulder-pads-and-helmet condition demonstrated trends toward providing more stability than the no-equipment condition, we found no differences among equipment conditions. We noted an interaction between technique and equipment, with the pull maneuver performed without equipment producing more anteroposterior motion than the push maneuver in any of the equipment conditions. Conclusions: We saw a slight difference in the motion measured during the 2 prone logrolling techniques tested, with less lateral-bending and anteroposterior motion produced with the logroll push than the pull technique. Therefore, we recommend adopting the push technique as the preferred spine-boarding maneuver when a patient is found in the prone position. Researchers should continue to seek improved methods for performing prone spine-board transfers to further decrease the motion produced in the unstable spine.

Abstract Several canopy access techniques are reviewed including a preferred method that is presented in detail. Included is a description for devising the necessary equipment and step-by-step instruction for its use. The technique was developed for use with sugar maple with a crown base 12 to 16 m above the ground. A combination of mountaineering, hunting, and fishing equipment and techniques is employed to propel an initial line into the canopy and rig the tree so that a rope can be ascended. Based on several years of development and testing, the technique is assessed with regard to possible variations and other techniques. The method should be most useful for practitioners and researchers working in the crowns of mature, stand-grown hardwood tree species like those found in the northeastern and midwestern North America. The premise of the flexible multi-point die stamping processing is that each punch can be adjusted to required position. Using numerical control technique, punches can be adjusted by stepping motors through driving screw rods. But each punch requires a stepping motor in this equipment. This kind of equipment is much expensive. In addition, the distance between adjacent punches is much big. Thus, this kind of equipments is not suitable for processing some small and medium-sized sheet metal parts. A new kind of equipment for press forming sheet metal parts is presented. Only two DC motors are needed to adjust punches of male and female moulds in this kind of equipment. Punches can be arranged more closely. This kind of equipments can be used to process small and medium-sized sheet metal parts.

A set of equipments for ship sewage treatment, which has been designed according to the characteristics of ship sewage with the advanced sewage treatment technique and the modern automatic control technique, makes ship sewage treatment miniaturized and automatized. The device takes biological method, + MBR Membrane Bioreactor, as the main treatment technique. After the reliability of the technique was justified through the simulation experiment, the mechanical structure of the equipment, including the detailed dimensions and relevant accessories, was designed according to the number of people. Besides, through PLC programmable controller the automatic operation and the automatic alarm have been achieved. As the result of the sewage treatment testing of the prototype, COD removal rate was above 92% , BOD5 removal rate above 98%, SS removal rate above 97%, the test value of heat-resistant Escherichia coli zero, totally meeting the IMO emission standards.

Dental implant treatment in the posterior maxilla encounters bone quality and quantity problems. Sinus elevation is a predictable technique to overcome height deficiency in this area. Transalveolar sinus elevation is a technique that is less invasive and less time-consuming, first introduced for ridges with at least 5 mm of bone height. Many modifications and innovative equipment have been introduced for this technique. This review aimed to explain the modifications of this technique with their indications and benefits. An exhaustive search in PubMed Central and Scopus electronic databases was performed until December 2020. Articles were selected that introduced new techniques for the transalveolar maxillary sinus approach that had clinical cases with full texts available in the English language. Finally, twenty-six articles were included. The data were categorized and discussed in five groups, including expansion-based techniques, drill-based techniques, hydraulic pressure techniques, piezoelectric surgery, and balloon techniques. The operator’s choice for transalveolar approach techniques for sinus floor elevation can be based on the clinician’s skill, bone volume, and access to equipment. If possible, a technique with simultaneous implant placement should be preferred.

Background : Acute appendicitis is the most common surgical emergency in daily practice, and is approached laparoscopically in many centers. Efforts have been undertaken for the development of minimally invasive techniques that reduce tissue trauma and offer improved cosmetic results, one of such being the single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS). Aim : To present a minimally invasive technique for appendectomy (SILS) undertaken with conventional instruments. Method : Eleven patients were treated in the emergency care center presenting abdominal pain in the right iliac fossa that was suggestive of appendicitis. Diagnostic investigation was subsequently conducted, including physical examination, laboratory and imaging exams (CT scan with intravenous contrast or total abdominal ultrasound), and the results were consistent with acute appendicitis. Thus, after consent, these patients underwent SILS appendectomy under general anesthesia with three trocars (two 10 mm and one 5 mm), using conventional and optical laparoscopic tweezers (10 mm, 30º). The base and pedicle of the appendix were ligated with titanium LT 400 clips. The procedure occurred uneventfully. Inclusion criteria were absence of diffuse peritonitis, BMI (body mass index) less than 35 and absence of serious comorbidities or sepsis. Results : Seven men and four women were operated with average age of 25.7 years and underwent appendectomy through this technique. Mean procedure duration was of 37.2 min. Regarding surgical findings, three had appendicitis in stage 1, four in stage 2 and four in stage 3. All patients improved well, without surgical complications, and did not require conversion to open surgery or conventional laparoscopy technique. Conclusion : Appendectomy conducted through Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery is a feasible and promising technique that can be performed with conventional laparoscopic instruments.

By the coupling of thermogravimetry (TG) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), the thermal behavior of polymeric materials can be elucidated from their mass loss combined with characterization of the evolved components. A hyphenated TG/FT-IR technique is presented, which enables the direct detection and characterization of evolving components in TG experiments, i.e., without transferring these components from the TG to the FT-IR equipment. In this on-the-spot TG/FT-IR technique, the IR beam of the FT-IR spectrometer is led directly into the TG equipment. The IR beam is reflected by a mirror mounted inside the TG equipment and subsequently detected by a standard FT-IR detector. In this way, the evolved components are detected both in gas and condensed phase directly in the TG equipment. The detection limits are in the sub µg/s range. The experimental setup and conditions are presented together with advantages and applications in the field of polymeric research.

Анотація:
In order to improve bandwidth utilization and reduce maintenance costs of each system equipment of fast road/highway on Beijing second ring road intersection, the article proposes a countermeasure of using integrated system equipment access method to optimize Beijing fast road/highway on intersection. Compared to the original integrated system equipment access method, this method can effectively improve the bandwidth utilization of the system equipment about 35% and save the cost about 68.1% based on maximum effective retaining the original system equipment.

The application of online detection technology for grain moisture is one of the most effective ways to improve the quality of grain drying. The online detection system for grain moisture consists of three parts: online remote module of ingoing grain moisture (charging), online remote module of outgoing grain moisture (discharging), and the host controller. It adopts JZ873 wireless transparent transmission module to realize the wireless data communication among various modules, and to formulate the communication drive. In practice, this system has characteristics such as flexible use, reliable data transmission, and it is more suitable for those testing and control conditions where it is inconvenient to wiring.

In the course of the comprehensive diagnosis of equipment troubles, infrared diagnosis technique is adopted to achieve the non-contact NDT (non-destructive testing) and fault diagnosis for the equipments in operation. The oil analysis and integrated monitoring expert system facilitates a comprehensive and systematic monitoring of the lubricating system of important equipments and the conditions of crucial movement parts, providing a development trend of the wearing process of the major friction pairs. It also detects the signs of failure so as to prevent sudden breakdowns, thus enhancing the reliability of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.

The correlation of forensic technology and operational technology among themselves and with special equipment of law enforcement agencies was investigated. It is shown that the constant growth of technical equipment of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and the presence of law enforcement structures led to the emergence of independent groups of technical means. It is emphasized that the forensic technique has a special character for its purpose, manifested in the maintenance of the main criminal process to obtain procedural information. It is proved that operational technology, as a section of the theory of operational-search activity and a component of the more general scientific concept of “special technology of law enforcement agencies”, has its own system and correlates with the forensic technique as equivalent categories of legal science. The emergence of a very important means of collecting, accumulating, storing, processing, searching and providing the necessary information is shown - automated information retrieval systems, automated specialized systems and intelligent systems that make up a separate group of special equipment. It is proved that the methodological basis of special equipment is scientifically based tactical techniques, methods and information technology. Special equipment of law enforcement agencies as an interdisciplinary branch of legal science is a system of scientific regulations and recommendations, create conditions for the development of technical tools (forensic, operational, organizational, security), as well as scientifically based methods, techniques and information technology to counter crime law enforcement agencies. The system of special equipment of law enforcement agencies consists of elements that include general provisions and branches of special equipment of law enforcement agencies. Branches of special equipment of law enforcement agencies consist of the main directions of its use in law enforcement, namely: with respect to investigative activities ― forensic technology, operational search activities ― operational technology, administrative activities ― organizational technology. It is proved that the special technique of law enforcement and forensic technology are both common and particular, respectively.

Under complex electromagnetic environment, various equipment is likely to be disturbed by electromagnetic pulses and to fail. In order to increase their immunity ability of electromagnetic pulses, the electromagnetic protection method based on the sorting technique was proposed. Through signal transform in signal level using the sequence difference histogram sorting algorithm, signal is separated from electromagnetic pulse. So these equipment were protected finally. Experimental results and simulation demonstrate that the method is effective.

The improved technology of position control and alignment of the continuous casting machine (CCM) equipment based on high-precision online geodetic measurements is considered. The mathematical model for the technological axis of the continuous casting machine, the technique of the rational alignment of the machine’s equipment and the software implementing this technique are proposed. The application experience of the developed technique for control and aligning the equipment of continuous casting machines of different types is shown. The data on the efficiency of the technique for continuous casting machine equipment and its impact on the quality of a continuously cast ingot are presented.

Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) is a vexing problem for load-bearing equipment operating in a corrosive environment in various industries, such as aerospace, chemical and mineral processing, civil structures, bioimplants, energy generation etc. For safe operation, effective maintenance and life prediction of such equipment, reliable design data on SCC (such as threshold stress intensity for SCC, i.e., KISCC) are invaluable. Generating reliable KISCC data invariably requires a large number of tests. Traditional techniques can be prohibitively expensive. This article reviews the determination of KISCC using the circumferential notch tensile (CNT) technique, the validation of the technique and its application to a few industrially relevant scenarios. The CNT technique is a relatively recent and considerably inexpensive approach for the determination of KISCC when compared to traditional techniques, viz., double-cantilever beam (DCB) and compact tension (CT) that may be fraught with prohibitive complexities. As established through this article, the CNT technique circumvents some critical limitations of the traditional techniques.

Football, one of the country’s most popular team sports, is associated with the largest overall number of sports-related, catastrophic, cervical spine injuries in the United States (Mueller, 2007). Patient handling can be hindered by the protective sports equipment worn by the athlete. Improper stabilization of these patients can exacerbate neurologic injury. Because of the lack of consensus on the best method for equipment removal, a study was performed comparing three techniques: full body levitation, upper torso tilt, and log roll. These techniques were performed on an intact and lesioned cervical spine cadaveric model simulating conditions in the emergency department. The levitation technique was found to produce motion in the anterior and right lateral directions. The tilt technique resulted in motions in the posterior left lateral directions, and the log roll technique generated motions in the right lateral direction and had the largest amount of increased instability when comparing the intact and lesioned specimen. These findings suggest that each method of equipment removal displays unique weaknesses that the practitioner should take into account, possibly on a patient-by-patient basis.

Introduction/purpose: Several studies in the area of the development of nanofluids for power equipment have left a gap unfilled as to how to determine the best oil among the produced oils for power equipment application. Therefore, this study presents a multi-criterial decision making analysis to determine the best oil for power equipment. Methods: The Grey relational analysis (GRA) and the Probability based multi-objective optimization techniques were employed as the multi-criterial decision making analytical tools for the optimization. Dielectric strength, dielectric loss, viscosity, and flash point were analyzed as multiple performance characteristics of different oils, after which different oil candidates were ranked based on their performance. Results: Interestingly, the GRA and the Probability based multi-objective optimization techniques revealed that Jatropha oil + Neem nanofluid is the best oil candidate for power equipment and it is better than conventional mineral oil. The Probability based multi-objective optimization technique places Jatropha nanofluid over mineral oil, but not for the GRA technique. Also, mineral oil and ordinary Jatropha nanofluids are at a competitive level. Meaning, if Jatropha nanofluid is further worked on, it can beat mineral oil. Conclusion: The two techniques substantially established that when Jatropha oil is mixed with Neem oil together with nanoparticles, there will be better power equipment performance compared to mineral oil. It can be recommended that a further analysis should be conducted in the area of direct application of Jatropha + Neem nanofluid for power equipment to understand the overall behavior of power equipment compared to the conventional mineral oil

Abstract Operation of special equipment is possible in crisis situations. It is because special equipment is designed for operation in non-standard often extreme conditions and situation, it is available, it has a high degree of crossing capability and it is able to provide basic living conditions even in field, e.g. provision of power for hospital, transportation of wounded and injured persons, supplies, medical care in field conditions, delivery of potable and utility water etc. The authors in the paper deal with a possibility to provide electric energy through advanced renewable sources, especially in meeting tasks in areas with no public mains, possible supplies of potable and non-potable water, embedding such assets into mobile systems. The authors in publication summarize results of research within the „Use of renewable sources of energy in practice project“. System of modeling and computer-aided simulation of renewable sources of energy has been proposed within this project. Application of a system for designing of power systems in logistic containers is expected. The knowledge on power balance of logistic containers operated by the SR Armed Forces in missions abroad is summarized in the last chapter of the paper. Experiences with operating the equipment in crisis and extreme conditions have proved a possibility to export and deploy machines and weaponry equipment of the SR Armed Forces into extreme climatic conditions, e.g. out of European conditions etc.

Prioritization of equipment is an important factor for decision making to optimize maintenance management in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). Many factors must be considered as part of the prioritization of equipment for maintenance activities. Consequently, evaluation procedures involve several objectives and it is often necessary to compromise among conflicting tangible and intangible factors. Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a useful approach to solve these problems. In this study, a hybrid model is developed for prioritizing the equipment in hybrid flow systems. The first stage involves identifying the criteria. The second stage is prioritizing the different criteria using fuzzy Analytical Network Process (ANP), in which the weight of each criterion is calculated using modified fuzzy Logarithmic Least Square Method (LLSM) to overcome the criticism of inconsistency, unbalanced scale of judgments, uncertainty and imprecision in the pair-wise comparison process, then finally ranking of equipment using fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS).

This article, written by JPT Technology Editor Chris Carpenter, contains highlights of paper SPE 202801, “Automated Corrosion Mapping AI and Machine Learning,” by Marc Majors and Travis Harrington, Occidental, and Eric Ferguson, Abyss Solutions, et al. The paper has not been peer reviewed. The complete paper discusses risk reduction and increased fabric-maintenance (FM) efficiency using artificial-intelligence (AI) and machine-learning (ML) algorithms to analyze full-facility imagery for atmospheric corrosion detection and classification. With this tool, a comprehensive and objective analysis of a facility’s health is achievable in a matter of weeks from the time of data collection. This application of AI and ML is a novel approach aimed at gaining a comprehensive understanding of facility-coating integrity and external corrosion threats. Introduction Atmospheric corrosion is the most-significant asset-integrity threat in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM). Offshore facilities require constant inspection and FM—and the significant financial obligation of these activities—to stay ahead of rapid equipment degradation. In general, regulatory codes in the GOM require a visual inspection of pressure equipment and piping on a 5-year frequency at minimum. A common approach is to inspect 20% of the facility per year, with a rolling 5-year inspection plan, to balance the inspection work through time. As a result, in a 5-year inspection cycle, the owner or operator of the facility will not see the condition of the piping or equipment for the 4 years between inspection cycles. Considering the complexity, high areas, overwater, and other difficult-to-inspect areas, gathering data for inspection can be costly and time-consuming and can yield a variable quality of results. An effective asset-integrity program requires full visibility of asset and equipment condition. Prioritizing areas for nondestructive examination (NDE) on high-consequence equipment and piping allows for effective risk reduction and FM planning. To that end, AI and ML are being harnessed to detect, classify, quantify, and report the condition of piping and equipment in the GOM.
