Salt stress significantly limit wheat crop productivity worldwide. Exposure to non-lethal levels of salt stress, referred to as "salt-priming", allows plants to persist subsequent lethal conditions; the priming effect continues even after an extended salt stress-free period. This study attempted to evaluate the effectiveness of the salt-induced priming approach to cope with the toxic effects of long-term salinity stress in wheat. After 22 days of gradual salt acclamation to reach 250 mM NaCl, plants were recovered for eight days and finally shocked with 250 mM NaCl (priming+shock) for 7 days. After that, physiological parameters and gene expression of six salt-responsive genes were assessed. Additionally, 120 days after germination (at the end of the season), agronomic traits were recorded. Analysis of the agronomical traits revealed higher productivity in the salt-pretreated group (priming+shock) plants than the non-pretreated (shock only). Consistently, salt-pretreated plants maintained higher photosynthetic pigments level and decreased proline and MDA content than non-pretreated, suggesting enhanced salt tolerance. Moreover, salt-pretreated plants sustained high expressional levels of salt-responsive genes (TaNHX1, TaSOS1, TaSOS4, TaHKT1, TaHKT2, and TaAKT1) comparing with non-pretreated, indicating a vital role in ion homeostasis and conferring salt tolerance. Ultimately, this finding could facilitate novel smart approaches to improve wheat productivity under salt stress.

Salinity majorly hinders horizontal and vertical expansion in worldwide wheat production. Productivity can be enhanced using salt-tolerant wheat genotypes. However, the assessment of salt tolerance potential in bread wheat doubled haploid lines (DHL) through agro-physiological traits and stress-related gene expression analysis could potentially minimize the cost of breeding programs and be a powerful way for the selection of the most salt-tolerant genotype. We used an extensive set of agro-physiologic parameters and salt-stress-related gene expressions. Multivariate analysis was used to detect phenotypic and genetic variations of wheat genotypes more closely under salinity stress, and we analyzed how these strategies effectively balance each other. Four doubled haploid lines (DHLs) and the check cultivar (Sakha93) were evaluated in two salinity levels (without and 150 mM NaCl) until harvest. The five genotypes showed reduced growth under 150 mM NaCl; however, the check cultivar (Sakha93) died at the beginning of the flowering stage. Salt stress induced reduction traits, except the canopy temperature and initial electrical conductivity, which was found in each of the five genotypes, with the greatest decline occurring in the check cultivar (Sakha-93) and the least decline in DHL2. The genotypes DHL21 and DHL5 exhibited increased expression rate of salt-stress-related genes (TaNHX1, TaHKT1, and TaCAT1) compared with DHL2 and Sakha93 under salt stress conditions. Principle component analysis detection of the first two components explains 70.78% of the overall variation of all traits (28 out of 32 traits). A multiple linear regression model and path coefficient analysis showed a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.93. The models identified two interpretive variables, number of spikelets, and/or number of kernels, which can be unbiased traits for assessing wheat DHLs under salinity stress conditions, given their contribution and direct impact on the grain yield.

La pectina es un agente espesante utilizado en la industria alimentaria y farmacéutica debido a su propiedad gelificante. El objetivo del presente artículo es mostrar los resultados de una investigación, cuyo propósito fue extraer y caracterizar la pectina obtenida de la cáscara de limón Tahiti en dos estados de maduración.La extracción de la cáscara de limón Tahití verde y maduro se realizó mediante hidrólisis ácida con HCl a pH, temperaturas y tiempos diferentes. En el caso de la cáscara de limón Tahití verde, las condiciones ideales de extracción con relación al porcentaje de rendimiento fueron de 1.26%, pH 2.5, 45 minutos y 100°C. Para la cáscara de limón Tahití maduro, estas condiciones fueron de 0.90%, pH 2.0, 75 minutos y 90°C. A la pectina resultante se le evaluó el contenido de humedad, las cenizas, el metoxilo, la acidez libre, el peso equivalente y el grado de esterificación, aplicando un análisis por espectroscopia de infrarrojo.Los resultados de la caracterización de limón verde y maduro fueron: 5.4 % y 3.2 % de cenizas respectivamente; 14.0 % y 8.2 % de humedad; 84.2 % y 91.6 % de ácido anhidrogalacturónico; 94.5 % y 90.7 % de porcentaje de esterificación; 14.0 % y 14.6 % de índice de metoxilo.Se concluye que la pectina tiene un elevado porcentaje de esterificación, en comparación con la pectina comercial (76 %) por lo que se reconoce como de alto metoxilo, y se considera apta para ser utilizada en la industria, debido a su facilidad de gelificación.

<p>La lima ácida Tahití, <em>Citrus latifolia </em>Tanaka (Rutaceae), es susceptible al daño del virus de la tristeza de los cítricos (CTV), lo que disminuye la rentabilidad del cultivo. En la terraza alta del piedemonte de Meta, Colombia, se evaluó la influencia del virus sobre el comportamiento de la lima ácida Tahití en seis patrones: Carrizo, Sunki × English, Sunki × Jacobson, Pomeroy, Rubidoux y Kryder 15-3. El diseño experimental utilizado fue completa­mente al azar tomando cada árbol como unidad expe­rimental; se utilizó comparación de medias y estadística inferencial para: altura de la planta, diámetro y altura de la copa, volumen de la copa, producción y severidad del virus de la tristeza. La mayor producción acumulada por árbol (kg/árbol) la obtuvo Sunki × English; todos los patrones presentaron una altura homogénea, excepto Carrizo con menor tamaño y volumen de copa. La mayor producción de frutos acumulada durante ocho cosechas se obtuvo con Sunki × English seguido por Rubidoux y Carrizo. La mayor eficiencia productiva promedia se obtuvo con Sunki × Jacobson. La produc­ción y el crecimiento morfológico decayeron en la sép­tima cosecha (2007) en todos los patrones, ocasionado por la infección de una mezcla de aislados de virus de la tris­teza de los cítricos tipo Madeira y tipo B128 que oca­sionan acanalamiento del tallo; tipo B31 que produce acanalamiento moderado; y aislamientos B7 y VT.</p><p><strong>Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) influence on the behavior of Tahiti lime (<em>Citrus latifolia </em>Tanaka) grafted on six rootstocks in the plain piedmont of Colombia (1997-2008)</strong></p><p><strong> </strong>Tahiti lime, <em>Citrus latifolia </em>Tanaka (Rutaceae), is susceptible to Citrus Tristeza Virus (CTV), and if affected, decreases the profitability of the crop. In the well-drained high terrace of the Meta piedmont, the influence of the virus attack was evaluated on the performance of Tahiti lime grafted on six rootstocks (Carrizo; Sunki × English; Sunki × Jacobson; Pomeroy; Rubidoux, y Kryder 15-3) on a completely randomized experiment design taking each tree as an experimental unit. A comparison of means and inferential statistic were used for: plant height, height and canopy diameter; canopy volume, yield and severity of CTV. All rootstocks showed homogenous height. Carrizo was the exception with less size and canopy volume. The highest accumulated fruit yield (Kg/tree) was obtained by Sunki x English, followed by Rubidoux and the lowest yield was obtained by Carrizo. The highest yield efficiency of average canopy volume was obtained with Sunki x Jacobson. The Tahiti lime yield and morphological development fell in the seventh year (2007) in all rootstocks, due to an infection caused by a mix of isolates of CTV type Madeira and type B128, isolates which cause stem channeling: type B31 which causes moderate stem channeling and B7 and VT isolate.</p>

The name Tahkā is today remembered by archaeologists only as the provenance of the famous Gandhāra statue of Kuvera in the Lahore Museum (fig. 1:Lahore 3/G101). Little is now known concerning the site itself, its precise location, or whether any architecural remains are still visible on the ground. Yet a hundred years age, the area around Tahkāl contained the most prominent Gandhāra ruins in the immediate neighbourhood of Peshawar, attracting the attention of all interested visitors who came to the city. It is moreover possible to construct a clear picture of the remains from their contemporary descriptions and from the forgotten archaeological record of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In particular, the recent rediscovery of Punjab Public works Department reports of the 1870s, printed in the Punjab Government Gazette, provides many details concerning the precise nature of two of the three major Buddhist structures in this area.

Majelis Tahkim sebagai proses penyelesaian sengketa (syiqāq) yang melibatkan pertemuan suami dan isteri bersama dengan Hakam untuk tujuan perdamaian atau perceraian dengan lafaz talak atau dengan khuluk. Berdasarkan fakta empiris menyatakan bahwa salah satu provinsi yang paling menonjol menggunakan metode Majelis Tahkim ini adalah Provinsi Selangor. Sebagaimana yang diketahui oleh penulis bahwa praktek Majelis Tahkim di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Shah Alam menggunakan Kaedah-Kaedah Hakam yang diterapkan khusus di Provinsi Selangor sahaja yang berbeda dengan provinsi yang lain di Malaysia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana praktek Enakmen Undang-Undang Keluarga Islam Nomor 2 Tahun 2003 Seksyen 48 mengenai penambahan Kaedah-Kaedah Hakam (Negeri Selangor) terhadap pelaksanaan Majelis Tahkim dalam penyelesaian sengketa rumah tangga (syiqāq) di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Shah Alam. Penulisan skripsi ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mekanisme Majelis Tahkim dalam penyelesaian sengketa rumah tangga dan keunggulan Kaedah-Kaedah Hakam yang digunakan. Oleh itu, penulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Dari hasil penelitian penulis dapat disimpulkan bahwa mekanisme Majelis Tahkim dalam penyelesaian sengketa rumah tangga di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Shah Alam menggunakan Kaedah-Kaedah Hakam terdapat beberapa keunggulan antaranya menjelaskan tentang Hakam dan proses Majelis Tahkim secara rinci sebagai panduan Hakam. Seterusnya, proses Majelis Tahkim ini mampu mengurangi beban Mahkamah Syariah dalam menyelesaikan kasus yang banyak di meja Mahkamah. Oleh hal yang demikian, diharapkan bagi pihak kerajaan perundangan untuk memberlakukan Kaedah-Kaedah Hakam ini bagi semua provinsi di Malaysia agar Hakam mendapatkan panduan lebih mendalam terkait Hakam dan proses Majelis Tahkim. Tahkim Assembly as a dispute resolution process (SYIQĀQ) involving a husband and wife meeting along with Hakam for peace or divorce with the pronunciation of Talak or with Khuluk. According to empirical facts, it states that one of the most prominent provinces using the method of the Tahkim assembly is Selangor province. As it is known by the authors that the practice of the Tahkim assembly in Shah Alam Sharia court used the essential methods applied in the province of Selangor only different from other provinces in Malaysia. This study aims to obtain an overview of the enactment of Islamic Family Law number 2 the year 2003 section 48 on the addition of the Hakam methods (Selangor State) on the implementation of the Tahkim assembly in the settlement of household disputes (SYIQĀQ) in the Syariah low court of Shah Alam. The writing of this thesis is aimed at knowing how the Tahkim assembly mechanisms in the settlement of household disputes and the excellence of the Hakam methods used. Thus, this writer uses a descriptive method of analysis. From the results of the author's research can be concluded that the mechanism of the Tahkim assembly in the settlement of household disputes in Shah Alam Syariah low court using the essential methods there are several advantages between explaining Hakam and the process of Tahkim assembly in detail as a guide to Hakam. Subsequently, the Tahkim assembly process was able to reduce the burden of sharia Court in resolving many cases at the Court table. Therefore, it is expected for the legal government to enforce this Hakam method for all provinces in Malaysia for Hakam to obtain a more in-depth guide to the Hakam and the process of the Tahkim assembly.

Abstract Polyploidy occurs prevalently and plays an important role during plant speciation and evolution. This phenomenon suggests polyploidy could develop novel features that enable them to adapt wider range of environmental conditions compared with diploid progenitors. Bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L., BBAADD) is a typical allohexaploid species and generally exhibits greater salt tolerance than its tetraploid wheat progenitor (BBAA). However, little is known about the underlying molecular basis and the regulatory pathway of this trait. Here, we show that the histone acetyltransferase TaHAG1 acts as a crucial regulator to strengthen salt tolerance of hexaploid wheat. Salinity-induced TaHAG1 expression was associated with tolerance variation in polyploidy wheat. Overexpression, silencing, and CRISPR-mediated knockout of TaHAG1 validated the role of TaHAG1 in salinity tolerance of wheat. TaHAG1 contributed to salt tolerance by modulating reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and signal specificity. Moreover, TaHAG1 directly targeted a subset of genes that are responsible for hydrogen peroxide production, and enrichment of TaHAG1 triggered increased H3 acetylation and transcriptional upregulation of these loci under salt stress. In addition, we found the salinity-induced TaHAG1-mediated ROS production pathway is involved in salt tolerance difference of wheat accessions with varying ploidy. Our findings provide insight into the molecular mechanism of how an epigenetic regulatory factor facilitates adaptability of polyploidy wheat and highlights this epigenetic modulator as a strategy for salt tolerance breeding in bread wheat.

The practice of sharia economics is growing and diverse, which has resulted in the emergence of various sharia economic disputes. This requires the development of alternative dispute resolutions, as has been done by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) by presenting Sharia Standards that specifically discuss tahkim. This paper aims to explain the provisions of tahkim in the Sharia Standards of AAOIFI and the urgency of resolving sharia economic disputes. Using the content analysis method by collecting various relevant references, this study found that various provisions must be met when carrying out a tahkim contract in the settlement of sharia economic disputes, including those relating to the pillars and requirements of tahkim, the object that is the authority of the tahkim contract, provisions for the appointment of judges, and the power of judges' decisions. The application of the tahkim contract in the settlement of sharia economic law disputes has several advantages, namely that it is fast, cheap, efficient, energy and thought-efficient, fair, and fulfills the benefits of the disputing parties, so the development and application of tahkim as an alternative economic dispute resolution is very important.

Foram realizados dois experimentos com plantas de tangerineira 'Ponkan'e da limeira ácida 'Tahiti' enxertadas sobre o limoeiro 'Cravo', e cultivadas em vasos de cinco litros. O estresse hídrico foi aplicado em plantas conduzidas em câmara de crescimento, sob temperatura controlada (25º C dia/ 20º C noite) e fotoperíodo de 16 horas de luz, com fluxo de fótons fotossintético (FFF) de aproximadamente 170 µmol m-2 s-1. E em plantas conduzidas em casa de vegetação, com temperaturas médias variando de 9,9º C (mínima) a 29,0º C (máxima) e FFF de 427 a 803 µmol m-2 s-1. O estresse hídrico não induziu o florescimento da tangerineira 'Ponkan' e da limeira ácida 'Tahiti' nas condições da câmara de crescimento. No entanto, favoreceu o aumento do florescimento na tangerineira 'Poncã' e na limeira ácida 'Tahiti', nas condições da casa de vegetação. O potencial hídrico foliar reduziu com o estresse hídrico imposto às plantas de tangerineira 'Ponkan' e a limeira ácida 'Tahiti', entretanto foi variável para as cultivares. Os maiores valores foram observados para a limeira 'Tahiti'.

Shallow-water tropical corals can be used to calibrate the radiocarbon timescale. In this paper, we present a new data set based on the comparison between 14C ages and U-Th ages measured in fossil corals collected offshore the island of Tahiti during the Integrated Oceanic Drilling Program (IODP) Expedition 310. After applying strict mineralogical and geochemical screening criteria, the Tahiti record provides new data for 2 distinct time windows: 7 data for the interval between 29 and 37 cal kyr BP and 58 for the last deglaciation period, notably a higher resolution for the 14–16 cal kyr BP time interval. There are 3 main outcomes of this study. First, it extends the previous Tahiti record beyond 13.9 cal kyr BP, the oldest U-Th age obtained on cores drilled onshore in the modern Tahiti barrier reef. Second, it strengthens the data set of the 14–15 cal kyr BP period, allowing for better documentation of the 14C age plateau in this time range. This age plateau corresponds to a drop of the atmospheric 14C synchronous with an abrupt period of sea-level rise (Melt Water Pulse 1 A, MWP-1 A). The Tahiti 14C record documents complex changes in the global carbon cycle due to variations in the exchange rates between its different reservoirs. Third, during the Heinrich event 1, the Tahiti record disagrees with the Cariaco record, but is in broad agreement with other marine and continental data.

Despite the fact that some of the main followers of the famous Spanish Muslim mystic Ibn ʿArabī (d. 638/1240)2 were well-versed in the discipline of philosophy, the school of Ibn ‘Arabī is often not regarded in Western scholarship as a philosophical school in the usual sense of the term. This is because Ibn ʿArabī’s followers tend to tackle the central problems of philosophy through the medium of mystical and religious symbolism (all here positively understood). In order to properly present the teachings of the school of Ibn ʿArabī as a unified philosophical perspective, therefore, I will argue that their emphasis upon symbolic formulations are largely a means by which they can present well-known rational concepts, but in accessible and concrete language.

Potassium (K+) is essential for plant growth and stress responses. A deficiency in soil K+ contents can result in decreased wheat quality and productivity. Thus, clarifying the molecular mechanism underlying wheat responses to low-K+ (LK) stress is critical. In this study, a tandem mass tag (TMT)-based quantitative proteomic analysis was performed to investigate the differentially abundant proteins (DAPs) in roots of the LK-tolerant wheat cultivar “KN9204” at the seedling stage after exposure to LK stress. A total of 104 DAPs were identified in the LK-treated roots. The DAPs related to carbohydrate and energy metabolism, transport, stress responses and defense, and post-translational modifications under LK conditions were highlighted. We identified a high-affinity potassium transporter (TaHAK1-4A) that was significantly up-regulated after the LK treatment. Additionally, TaHAK1-4A was mainly expressed in roots, and the encoded protein was localized in the plasma membrane. The complementation assay in yeast suggested that TaHAK1-4A mediates K+ uptake under extreme LK conditions. The overexpression of TaHAK1-4A increased the fresh weight and root length of Arabidopsis under LK conditions and improved the growth of Arabidopsis athak5 mutant seedlings, which grow poorly under LK conditions. Moreover, silencing of TaHAK1-4A in wheat roots treated with LK stress decreased the root length, dry weight, K+ concentration, and K+ influx. Accordingly, TaHAK1-4A is important for the uptake of K+ by roots exposed to LK stress. Our results reveal the protein metabolic changes in wheat induced by LK stress. Furthermore, we identified a candidate gene potentially relevant for developing wheat lines with increased K+ use efficiency.

The 'Tahiti' lime (Citrus latifolia Tanaka) is an important commercial citrus cultivar in Brazil. 'Rangpur' lime has being used as its main rootstock, but it is susceptible to root rot caused by Phytophthora, reducing tree longevity. An experiment was set up in a randomized block design, with three trees per plot of each rootstock and four replicates, and run for 12 years, aiming to compare the performance of 'IAC-5 Tahiti' lime, budded on 'Rangpur' lime (Citrus limonia Osb.); 'C-13' citrange (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb. × Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf.); 'African' rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri Lush.); 'Volkamer' lemon (Citrus volkameriana Ten. & Pasq.); trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf.); 'Sunki' mandarin (Citrus sunki Hort. ex Tan.) and 'Cleopatra' mandarin (Citrus reshni Hort. ex Tan.). Eleven years after the establishment of the orchard, trees with the greatest canopy development were budded on 'C-13' citrange and 'African' rough lemon, and both differed significantly from trees budded on trifoliate orange, 'Sunki' and 'Cleopatra' mandarins, which presented the smallest canopy development. Trees budded on 'Rangpur' lime and 'C-13' citrange had the highest cumulative yields, and were different from trees budded on trifoliate orange, 'Cleopatra' and 'Sunki' mandarins. There was no rootstock effect on mean fruit weight and on the total soluble solid/acid ratio in the juice. The 'Rangpur' lime and the 'Cleopatra' mandarin rootstocks reduced longevity of plants.

While touring Tahiti in 1891, the American historian Henry Adams compiled an album of large-scale photographic prints that he purchased from commercial studios in Papeete. Souvenir album making was a popular pursuit amongst nineteenth-century Euro-American travellers who used the opportunity to project, validate and narrate desired travel experiences. Unlike others, Adams’s album is seemingly random and banal and lacks any clear narrative. This article attempts to make sense of Adams’s album. It asks to what extent the photographs performed their common function and validated Adams’s experience and expectations of Tahiti. It questions what the album reflects of Adams’s background, tastes and position in the islands as an elite traveller. It considers what was available for Adams to purchase from Papeete’s commercial studios, businesses that traded at a key moment in Tahiti’s complex colonial history. This article suggests that the album is a site where Adams’s desires and despair in colonial Tahiti overlap and contradict. Ultimately, it is a sign of his disappointment in photography as a medium incapable of capturing his island experiences.

Çağdaşı pek çok devlette olduğu gibi Hitit devletinde de, taht mücadeleleri neredeyse her devirde görülmekte olup, mücadelelerin iç dinamikleri geleneksel toplumların tümünde olduğu gibi otoritesini kan bağı ve geleneklerden alan kraliyet ailesi içerisindeki siyasal ve bürokratik etkinliklere bağlıdır. Bu türlü toplumlarda sıra dışı durumlar söz konusu olmadığı sürece tahta geçmede en önemli dinamik aile ve akrabalık ilişkilerinin algılanışıdır. Hitit devletinde de şimdiye dek tespit edilebilen tüm mücadeleler, istisnasız kraliyet ailesi içerisindeki akrabalık dinamikleri neticesinde meydana gelmiştir. Ancak Hititlerde akrabalık gibi toplumsal bir takım algıları anlayabilmek açısından yazılı belgelerin Yakın Doğulu diğer bölgelerdeki kadar zengin veriler sunmadıkları da bilinir. Eldeki kısıtlı veriler ve Yakın Doğu’ya ait benzer örneklerin ele alınması neticesinde Hitit tahtında veraset hakkı olan aile bireylerinden evlat edinilmiş çocuklar ve içgüveylere dair bir inceleme yapabilmek mümkün olmaktadır. Konuya giriş niteliğinde yapılan bu çalışma neticesinde ise iç güvey olarak ya da evlatlık olarak hane halkı içerisine dâhil edilen bireylerin yasal olarak diğer aile bireyleri ile aynı ya da benzer haklara sahip oldukları ve geleneksel olarak Hitit tahtında hak iddia edebildikleri görülebilir.

Foram avaliadas as respostas das trocas gasosas à irradiância, à temperatura, ao déficit de pressão de vapor e à concentração interna de CO2 em plantas jovens de laranjeira 'Valência', tangor 'Murcote' e lima ácida 'Tahiti', sob condições controladas. As taxas máximas de assimilação de CO2 foram de 9,8, 12,8 e 13,0 µmol m-2 s-1 em 'Valência', 'Murcote' e 'Tahiti', respectivamente. Diferenças na taxa de assimilação de CO2 foram relacionadas com a condutância estomática e com a eficiência instantânea de carboxilação. A saturação da fotossíntese pela luz foi em torno de 750 µmol m-2 s-1 em 'Valência'. Em 'Murcote' e 'Tahiti', não houve um ponto evidente de saturação lumínica, pois houve pequenos aumentos da assimilação de CO2 acima de 1.000 µmol m-2 s-1. Os pontos de compensação de CO2 foram 4,8, 5,8 e 5,4 Pa em 'Valência', 'Murcote' e 'Tahiti', respectivamente. Temperaturas das folhas entre 25ºC e 30ºC corresponderam à faixa ótima para a fotossíntese em 'Valência' e ao redor de 30ºC em 'Murcote' e 'Tahiti'. Quedas das taxas de assimilação de CO2 em temperaturas acima ou abaixo da ideal ocorreram em razão de quedas parciais na condutância estomática e na eficiência instantânea de carboxilação. A taxa de assimilação de CO2 também decresceu com o aumento do déficit de pressão de vapor de 1,5 para 3,5 kPa. Este efeito foi mais acentuado quando a temperatura aumentou de 28ºC para 35ºC.

Among the citrus plants, “Tahiti” acid lime is known as a host ofG. mangiferaefungi. This species is considered endophytic for citrus plants and is easily isolated from asymptomatic fruits and leaves.G. mangiferaeis genetically related and sometimes confused withG. citricarpawhich causes Citrus Black Spot (CBS). “Tahiti” acid lime is one of the few species that means to be resistant to this disease because it does not present symptoms. Despite the fact that it is commonly found in citric plants, little is known about the populations ofG. mangiferaeassociated with these plants. Hence, the objective of this work was to gain insights about the genetic diversity of theG. mangiferaepopulations that colonize “Tahiti” acid limes by sequencing cistron ITS1-5.8S-ITS2. It was verified that “Tahiti” acid lime plants are hosts ofG. mangiferaeand also ofG. citricarpa, without presenting symptoms of CBS. Populations ofG. mangiferaepresent low-to-moderate genetic diversity and show little-to-moderate levels of population differentiation. As gene flow was detected among the studied populations and they share haplotypes, it is possible that all populations, from citrus plants and also from the other known hosts of this fungus, belong to one great panmictic population.

Abstract Atmospheric transport of the natural radionuclide 210Pb is simulated by a general circulation model (GCM) and calculated surface concentrations are compared with those recorded at the Tahiti station on a daily scale. Numerical results for 2006 show the underestimation of concentrations for most recorded peaks. The purpose of this paper is to explain the observed discrepancies, to evaluate the GCM physical parameterizations, and to determine by numerical means the concentrations at Tahiti for a pollutant circulating across the South Pacific Ocean. Three meteorological situations in 2006 are further analyzed. Circulation over Tahiti for these periods is simulated by a mesoscale meteorological model using four nested grids with resolutions ranging from 27 to 1 km. The calculated wind fields are validated by those observed at two stations on the northwest coast of Tahiti, which is exposed both to topography-induced vortices and to thermally driven local breezes. Atmospheric dispersion of an offshore plume is then calculated by a particle Lagrangian transport model, driven by the mesoscale model at 1- and 81-km resolutions, representing local and global circulations, respectively. Simulations at 1-km resolution show the complex atmospheric circulation over Tahiti, which results in a large spatial and temporal variability of 210Pb surface concentrations on an hourly scale. The impact of local circulation is, however, limited when daily averaged concentrations at the station are considered. Under the studied regimes, transport simulations at the two resolutions lead to similar daily averaged concentrations. The deficiencies of the GCM in simulating daily averaged 210Pb concentrations could be attributable to the deep convection parameterization.

Contracts aimed at ensuring the provision of services without undergoing high financial "burdens". In the case of disputes concerning public service concession agreements, preference is given to the settlement disputes with arbitral jurisdiction rather than settlement of court disputes, usually by private contracting parties. In our work, firstly we will give information about the concept of public service concession agreement and arbitration, then, in the Turkish administrative law, the "obstruction of arbitration", which will rule until 1999, and the elimination of the ban will be discussed. Later, the elements and procedure of the arbitration will be examined in detail in the context of "recent changes", followed by the determination of the substantive rules of law to be applied to the merits of the dispute in the arbitration proceedings, and finally, to be given information about the decisions to be made on the basis of the arbitration proceedings.</p><p><strong>ÖZ</strong></p><p>Kamu hukuku imtiyaz sözleşmeleri, idare ve özel hukuk gerçek ya da tüzel kişileri arasında akdedilen ve idarenin, teknoloji, iş gücü vb. konularda, yüksek mali “yük”ler altına girmeksizin, hizmet sağlanmasını amaçlayan sözleşmelerdir. Since Huanglongbing (HLB) disease was detected in 2009 in Puerto Rico, a steady drop in citrus production has been experienced, forcing farmers to abandon their land or switch to other crops. Between 2015 and 2016, we used grafted trees from two experimental orchards (Tahiti lime and Nova mandarin), each on five rootstocks, to collect soil and plant tissue samples from each scion‒rootstock combination to determine soil fertility, tissue nutrient content, and yield. The tree growth parameters (height, diameter, and canopy volume) and efficiency of the two orchards were also measured. These orchards, growing in Coto series (Typic Hapludox), were planted in 2009 and reported as heavily infested with HLB by 2011. Our results showed that soil and tissue samples from the Tahiti lime orchard exhibited benefits for tree growth parameters when grafted on Carrizo and Cleopatra rootstocks. Lower tree mortality (13%) was observed for Tahiti lime grafted on Carrizo, HRS 812, Carrizo and Rough lemon rootstocks, while 25% of the Nova mandarin trees perished on the same rootstocks. Yield was higher for Tahiti lime grafted on Swingle rootstock (35.6 fruit m−3) as compared to the other rootstocks. In general, HLB appears to have caused poor development and low production in the Nova mandarin orchard.

O trabalho foi conduzido em um pomar de citros localizado no Setor de Fruticultura do Departamento de Fitotecnia da Universidade Federal de Viçosa-UFV/Viçosa-MG, no período de março a setembro de 2004. O objetivo foi avaliar a influência do potencial hídrico das folhas e do solo sobre o florescimento da tangerineira 'Poncã', laranjeira 'Serra d'Água'e limeira ácida 'Tahiti' nas condições climáticas de Viçosa-MG. A temperatura do ar (ºC) e a precipitação pluviométrica (mm) foram avaliadas diariamente durante o período experimental. O potencial hídrico no solo e nas folhas foi avaliado em dois horários (7:00 às 8:00 h manhã e 13:00 às 14:00 h tarde). As cultivares utilizadas foram laranjeira 'Serra d'Água'(Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb.), tangerina 'Poncã' (Citrus reticulata Blanco) e limeira ácida 'Tahiti' (Citrus latifolia Tanaka.), enxertadas sobre limoeiro 'Cravo' (Citrus limonia Osb.). Observou-se que o potencial hídrico foliar dos citros diminuiu sob condições de altas temperaturas e déficit hídrico no solo, entretanto, varia em função dos cultivares, observando-se os maiores valores para a limeira 'Tahiti'. O florescimento ocorreu após um período de baixas temperaturas seguido por uma redução do potencial hídrico do solo. A limeira ácida 'Tahiti' é mais precoce, quando comparada com a tangerineira 'Poncã' e a laranjeira 'Serra D'Água'.

<p>The present work aimed to evaluate the physical-chemical and mineral parameters of the in natura pulp and the albedo residue of the Tahiti lemon. The pulp was extracted on a stainless steel horizontal removing device and refined in a sieve with a mesh size less than 1.0 mm. The albedo residue was separated and manually dried in a kiln with forced air circulation at a temperature of 55 ± 2°C until constant mass. The physico-chemical analyzes for the pulp in natura were: total solids (TS), soluble solids (°Brix), titratable acidity (TA), pH, vitamin C, total and reducing sugars, moisture, ashes and water activity. For the dry albedo, moisture, pH, ashes, water activity, protein, reducing sugars (RS) and pectin were evaluated. The mineral constituents consisted on the evaluation of the centesimal composition of calcium (Ca), potassium (K), phosphorus (P), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) for the in natura pulp and dry albedo residue of Tahiti lemon. Regarding the physical-chemical and mineral quality parameters, results were satisfactory. Therefore, the study of Tahiti lemon provided essential information on the availability of nutrients, so as to provide the consumer with new products derived from the Tahiti lemon and also to add economic value to the fruit.</p>

This study focuses on the solar resource available at Faaa, Tahiti (17.5°S, 149.5°W) thanks to 10 year-long solar irradiance time series. Faaa’s global horizontal irradiance ranges from 14 MJ.m-2.day-1 (June) to 21 MJ.m-2.day-1 (November) in agreement with the sun’s annual path, while clearness index ranges from 0.5 (January) to 0.67 (July), in agreement with the wet and dry seasons. The Global Solar Atlas satellite-derived dataset shows acceptable relative error when compared to Faaa in situ measurements. This product could then be used for other coastal areas of Tahiti. The annual energy output of a single PV module is 256.7 kWh, which corresponds to 7 % of the annual consumption of a typical household in Tahiti. The capacity factor reaches 22.5 %, which makes Faaa a good site for harnessing solar resource.

No presente trabalho, foram aplicados tratamentos térmicos (condicionamento térmico e aquecimento intermitente) em laranja ´Valência´, tangor ´Murcott´ e lima ácida ´Tahiti´ armazenadas em baixa temperatura e avaliaram-se a incidência dos danos pelo frio e seus efeitos nas características físico-químicas das frutas. As frutas foram armazenadas durante 90 dias, a 1ºC, sendo avaliadas a cada 15 dias. A lima ácida ´Tahiti´ e o tangor ´Murcott´ suportaram até 90 dias de armazenamento, a 1ºC, com aquecimento intermitente, não apresentando danos pelo frio. No tratamento-controle (armazenamento contínuo a 1ºC), os danos pelo frio surgiram aos 30 dias de armazenamento para a lima ´Tahiti´ e aos 45 dias para o tangor ´Murcott´. Em laranjas ´Valência´, as injúrias pelo frio surgiram aos 45 dias de armazenamento, sendo significativamente menores no condicionamento térmico. O aquecimento intermitente é um tratamento que poder ser utilizado na conservação de frutas sem afetar suas características internas.

Abstract International arbitration notion contains to be commercial and to be international together, different from national arbitration notion. To be international criterion is to the fullest extent arranged in old French CPC art. 1492, which contains also French Arbitration Code. According to this article which is protected by 13 January 2011 reform; arbitration which is about international commercial benefit is an international arbitration. In 1992 French Arbitration Commitee prepared a report with the name of “Perspectives for İmprovement of French Arbitration Law”. The amendements of the directive of 13 January 2011 is neither a revolution nor an easy make up but it is a real reform which can be known as by the words clarity, definiteness, flexibility, freedom of choice, effectuality and speediness. The reform of 2011 did not changed the liberal structure of the French international arbitration law which is stand by freedom of contract and limited only by public policy.
