Повний текст джерелаThe aerial evolution of Tahiti-Nui tropical Island begins with the construction of a primitive shield-volcano (mean eruptive rate about 2km3̂/ka). Since the early stages of edification, magmas have been concentrated through a main E-W to N110 rift zone. About 870 ka ago, a change in the nature of the lavas through under-saturated viscous terms is responsible for the destabilization of the northern and southern shield flanks by landslide processes. The deposits generated by the northern collapse extend up to 50 km to the North of Tahiti. Their volume is estimated around 800 km3̂. The post-collapse activity has been suddenly concentrated within the northern depression, burying it in less than 100 kyr (minimum eruptive rate of 3 km3̂/ka). However, the later activity has been less and less productive (0. 5 km3̂/ka on the period 750 ka -450 ka) and more and more alkaline, indicating a continuous decrease through time in the rate of partial melting. The end of the shield-building stage is marked by a differentiated ignimbritic event, triggered by a basic re-injection of magma in a shallow reservoir, 502±7 ka ago. The intense erosion of the volcanic structure has been clearly influenced by the existence of the geological discontinuities, whereas the effect of the differential pluviometry is not so sensitive. The intrusions of the rift-zone and the contact between the two nested volcanic structures have conditioned the dissection, yielding polyphased development of the major valleys, which are characterized by the presence of torrential brecciated units and valley-filling flows presently topographically inverted. The chemical and isotopic study of rainfall, springs and river water from the northern half of Tahiti-Nui indicates a main infiltration at great altitudes, at the level of the late columnar volcanic flows. The dykes from the western rim of the northern depression then connect the underground circulations, as evidenced by the homogeneous character of the springs

Avaliaram-se, neste trabalho, a influência do manejo da água na distribuição temporal da produção da lima ácida ‘Tahiti’, e o efeito de três porcentagens de área molhada na produção, durante novembro de 2000 a novembro de 2001. O experimento foi conduzido em Visconde do Rio Branco – MG. Determinaram-se, os graus dias necessários desde a antese até o ponto de colheita da lima ácida ‘Tahiti’. Os tratamentos constituíram-se de quatro níveis de estresse hídrico: sem estresse, SE; estresse leve, EL; estresse moderado, EM; e, estresse severo, ES; os quais foram proporcionados por quatro períodos sem irrigação: 0, 7, 10 e 13 semanas; durante os meses de junho a agosto de 2000, e durante os meses de maio a julho de 2001; e de três porcentagens de área molhada: 15, 31 e 46%, e a testemunha, totalizando 13 (12 + 1) tratamentos. Avaliaram-se a umidade do solo e a radiação interceptada e refletida, durante os dois períodos de estresse. As características comerciais dos frutos também foram avaliados. Para a determinação dos graus dias necessários da antese ao ponto de colheita, marcaram-se flores nas 78 árvores do experimento. Os graus-dia foram determinados a partir da diferença entre a temperatura média diária e a temperatura basal inferior, considerada 13 °C. O acúmulo de graus-dia (GD), necessários desde a abertura da flor até a colheita, para a lima ácida ‘Tahiti’, irrigada, são 1493 GD, situando a lima ácida ‘Tahiti’ entre as variedades precoces, que requerem 1600 a 1800 GD. Os frutos, das árvores não irrigadas, necessitam de maior acúmulo de graus-dias, 1585 GD, para atingir o ponto de colheita. O estresse hídrico reduziu a produção de frutos das árvores durante o período de aplicação do estresse hídrico e aumentou a produção nos meses subsequentes ao estresse. A duração do estresse hídrico teve influência naépoca e na produtividade sazonal da lima ácida, porem não influenciou significativamente na produção total. A duração do estresse hídrico deslocou a época das maiores produções nos tratamentos de estresse. O estresse térmico, ocorrido durante os meses do inverno, também influenciou a produção de frutos nos meses subsequentes. A porcentagem de área molhada não afetou a produção das árvores de lima ácida ‘Tahiti’. A irrigação aumentou a produção de frutos e afetou as sofreram estresse radiação refletida características comerciais dos frutos. As árvores que não hídrico foi interceptaram superior nas maior árvores do quantidade de tratamento radiação. não-irrigado. A Para novembro e dezembro de 2000, meses da entressafra, o tratamento EM foi o que maior produção proporcionou. Para os meses de outubro e novembro de 2001, o tratamento de EL foi o que proporcionou maior produção. Para a região da Zona da Mata, para obtenção de uma maior produção nos meses da entressafra, o estresse hídrico deve ter a duração de 7 a 10 semanas, dependendo da precipitação ocorrida no período, a partir do mês de abril ou maio.
This study was carried out in Visconde do Rio Branco county- MG, aiming to evaluate the influence of the water management on temporary yield distribution of the acid lime 'Tahiti', as well as the effects from three percentages of wetted area on the yield over the period from November 2000 to November 2001. The degrees-day necessary from anthesis to the harvesting time in the acid lime 'Tahiti' were determined. The treatments consisted of four levels of hydric stress: without stress (WS), light stress (LS), moderate stress (MS), and severe stress (SS), which were provided by four periods without irrigation: 0, 7, 10 and 13 weeks; during the months from June to August 2000, and from May to July 2001; and of three percentages of wetted area: 15, 31 and 46%, and the control, totalizing 13 (12 + 1) treatments. The soil moisture and the intercepted and reflected radiation were evaluated over both hydric stress periods. The commercial characteristics of the fruits were also appraised. For determination of the degrees-day necessary from anthesis to time harvesting, some flowers were marked, and experimental between the later trees. the The average established degrees-day daily fruits were were temperature and identified determined the tagged from lower the basal in all 78 difference temperature considered as 13°C. The accumulation of the degrees-day (GD) necessary from flower opening until harvesting in the irrigated acid lime 'Tahiti' are 1493 GD, so including the acid lime 'Tahiti' among the precocious varieties requiring 1600 to 1800 GD. The fruits of nonirrigated trees need higher accumulation of degrees- day (1585 GD) to attain the harvesting time. The hydric stress reduced the fruit yield of the trees during the period of hydric stress application, and increased it in the months subsequent to the hydric stress. The duration of the hydric stress affected the yield time and the seasonal productivity of the acid lime, but had nosignificant influence upon total yield. The duration of the hydric stress altered the time of the highest yield in the stressed treatments. The thermal stress occurring over the winter months also affected the fruit yield in the subsequent months. The percentage of wetted area did not significantly affect the yield of the acid lime trees However, the irrigation increased the yield of the acid lime yield, and affected the commercial characteristics of the fruits. The trees not submitted to hydric stress intercepted a higher amount of radiation. The reflected radiation was higher in those trees in nonirrigated treatment. For November and December 2000 (months between one harvesting and another one) the MS treatment provided the highest yield, whereas for October and November 2001 the LS treatment provided the highest yield. To obtain a higher yield for Zona da Mata region, during the months between one harvest and another one, the hydric stress should have a 7 to 10 week duration, depending on the occurrence of precipitation over the period, from the month of april or may.

For developed countries, Tahiti is a myth and Tahitian tourism doesn't use island patrimony (natural, social or cultural) except artificial beaches and lagoon beauty. A major problem is inadequate understanding of tourism dynamics and the absence of simple integrated measures of tourism's pervasive economic, social and environmental impacts. This work presents the framework in which Tahitian tourism develops, its characteristics and it porposes a space analysis method to evaluate its impacts. This method is applicable superficially with only one indicator to each element in the system (environmental, economical and social) or to go deeper into study with a lot of indicators to each element. This methodology must allow an integrated tourism management with others island activities and an sustainable tourism destination

Their classification shows an equal presence of natural and cultural elements in the making of these land names. On the other hand, those lands are mostly located on the littoral, wich is, the affluent area above all else. Although some mountains are linked with chieftainship, the inner land of a district remains a land for times of food shortage, a place of safety and of war strongholds. Повний текст джерелаThe first synthesis of hydro-meteorogical data for a Tahiti island appears to be like that of classical hydrological monographs. Observations made by the National Meteorology office, the Equipement office and ORSTOM, are critized and interpreted Homogeneity seen over 15 years (1968/69 to 1982/83) of rainfull observations has defined 10 homogeneous zones. Statical analyses of annual rainfall have resulted in the mapping of interannual and decennal isohyetes. The evolution of the rainfall over the year show the periodicity of depressional episodes. The last 35 years have been marked an alternating sequence of dry and rainy years. Flow studies (minimum water levels, monthly and annual flows) show clearly the influence of valley exposure on the surface runoff. Components of the water balance are suggested (flows between 1 000 and 2 500 mm - with coefficients of flow reaching 80 %). Particular study is given to the abondance of rain (greater than 10 m/year, 1 000 mm/day and 1 500 mm/2 days) and high flows (30-80 m3/s/km2 for basins of appromaxitely 1 km2 and for high flows with 15 m3/s/km2 for basins of 20 to 80 km2) Particular mention is given to the exceptional tropical storm years of 1982/83

Повний текст джерелаThe main objective of this PhD thesis is to obtain a better understanding of the erosion processes acting on the Tahiti Island. Firstly, we model the formation and evolution of the Tahiti valley knickpoints with a new set of parameters for their stream power law. Our numerical results are in total agreement with the observations: parallel retreat type, increase of the knickpoint height with the retreat distance from the outlet, initiation after a sea level fall just after the end of active volcanism. Secondly, we compare on five watersheds the results from an empirical modeling (USLE) and from a physical modeling (APERO) of the erosion processes to the experimental data coming from radionuclides datation (cosmogenic 3He) and from suspended sediment measurements in river streams. We demonstrate that landslides and bed erosion are the main sources of sediments and that bed load is the dominant transport mode for short and steep rivers. Finally, we demonstrate that the areas susceptible to be eroded on Tahiti are located on steep and bare slopes as well as on knickpoint locations and that vegetation is essential to protect land against sheet and rill erosion

Повний текст джерелаThe citrus industry worldwide is facing new challenges mainly due the outbreak of diseases, shortening of orchard life and larger social and environmental demands from consumers. In this context, practices such as diversification of rootstocks, irrigation and high density planting are relevant. The performance of Tahiti lime under irrigated and non-irrigated conditions was evaluated. In each condition, 12 rootstocks and one interstock were studied. The plots were distributed in randomized complete blocks design with four replications and one plant per plot. Rootstocks influenced the plant vigor, particularly the Flying Dragon trifoliate which plant height was reduced by approximately 47% compared to Rangpur lime. Trees on more vigorous rootstocks showed high yield and increased gross income when grown without irrigation, stood out especially 1646 citradia and Morton citrange. The plants on less vigorous rootstocks showed better performance in terms of yield and gross income, when irrigated, the highlights were the Carrizo citrange tetraploid, Troyer citrange tetraploid, Swingle citrumelo, Davis A trifoliate and Flying Dragon trifoliate. Plants on citradia 1708 showed high yield and income in both conditions (with or without irrigation). The effect of interstock on plant vigor was dependent of rootstock. Interstocked plants on Davis A trifoliate were higher than those without interstock. On the other hand, interstocked plants on Volkamer Catania 2 lemon were less vigorous than those without interstock.

Повний текст джерелаTahitian vanilla (Vanilla tahitensis) was introduced in French Polynesia in the 19th century, growing techniques and curing methods specific to Tahitian vanilla result in a unique product, very highly esteemed in the global market. The anise flavour of Tahitian vanilla was studied by chemical and sensory analysis. The oily aspect of the pods led to investigations on the fatty acid composition. This study shows that Tahitian vanilla could be differentiated thanks to various metabolites with respect to other vanillas. Phytochemical and sensory variability of different Polynesian cultivars were characterized for the first time. Research on the evolution of various parameters during the curing period has lead to specify optimal water content for the development of sensory properties of Tahitian vanilla. This work contributes to increase our knowledge of Tahitian vanilla and to enable new strategies of valorization

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis in fundamental and applied research has for biological model the freshwater eel which has always fascinated the world of the research by its unique cycle of life and all its mysteries not solved for some. Worldwide, 19 species of eels exist, some of which are declining in temperate zones, which may justify the increase in research in the tropics. In French Polynesia, this mysterious animal is sacred; the Polynesian legends associate the eels with the creation of life. Three species are present: the marbled eel "Anguilla marmorata", the mountain eel "Anguilla megastoma" and the eel "Anguilla obscura". They do not have the same spatial distribution where the former adapts to any medium, the second goes up the rivers to the upper valley at several hundred meters of altitude, while the latter remains in the lower valley preferring the stagnant waters. Thanks to the numerous rivers on Tahiti, this main island of Polynesia is in the midst of an energy transition and now favors renewable energies; particularly hydroelectricity. However, hydroelectric developments known to cause problems of ecological continuity of freshwater biodiversity, especially for eels, will interest us in this thesis work on the Cifre grant. It is in this context that this thesis, in the largest valley of Tahiti, is the Papenoo. Two problems are studied: the recruitment of glass eel and the study of the adult population. Our results over the three years following the arrival of juvenile eels in the mouth of the Papenoo reveal a seasonal recruitment of elvers from November to March with two peaks in December and January. More than 80% of elvers are Anguilla marmorata. For adult populations, we observe: 1/ more than 90% of the population is also Anguilla marmorata, 2/ adult eels have a density gradient from downstream to upstream, and 3/ biological continuity does not come from dams or water removal in themselves, but comes from the tailrace leaving the hydropower plant where we observe an over-attractiveness for the eels. This study proved to be very important in the theoretical advancement of our biological and ecological knowledge about the eel, in the appropriation by industry of good practices and in a solid communication on the possible coexistence between management and development

Our intention is not to make a judgement on the positive or negative effects of the French colonization in Tahiti. We seek to highlight the originilty of the colonial encounter between Tahitian and French people by proposing an analysis of the colonial process that transformed the political, economical and social aspects of the Tahitian society. But more partcularly, our choice to study the aspects of the colonial act in Tahiti emerges from a desire to highlight the ideological fracture that occured between the 18th century, a period singing praises about an island and its people, thus giving birth to the Tahitian myth, and the 19th century, a period of expansionnist, commercial and scientific interest. The myth was and still is the subject of numerous historical and literary works. On the other hand, the image of Tahiti in the 19th century, when France decides to "protect" the island and turn it into an actual colony was not granted the same attention. As we use the photograh to analyze the polynesian colonial representations, we particularly focus on emphasizing the forms of native resistance. Thus showing that it is impossible to reduce Polynesians to more resigned victims

From the very moment when the British made Pomare « King of Tahiti », to a certain extent the other chiefdoms, such as that Taiarapu, fell into oblivion. This study of peninsula of Taiarapu provides an opportunity to highlight the history of that forsaken and forbidden part of the island, to bring back into light its myths and legends and to re-discover what life was like on the other side of the island of Tahiti, away from the Kingdom of Pomare. It provides an opportunity to look at Tahitian History from another viewpoint and to put Taiarapu back to its original place, i. E the very head of the mythical fish called Tahiti. In studying the peninsula of Tahiti, we have also wished to enable its people to discover or re-discover their history, their legends and their once glorious past. To achieve our goal, we have studied the Other, for the history of Taiarapu can only be fully understood in the light of the Other, the one that changed History and wrote Tahitian History. They were navigators, missionaries, beachcombers, settlers or writers and we have tried to understand their motivations, and their vision of the islander, as well as to try and understand how the people from the peninsula saw them. We have emphasized what we could learn on the Taiarapu people and society thanks to their writings and have also tried and analyse to what extent the presence of foreigners transformed the society

Повний текст джерелаPunaru'u’s valley is the second watershed by size of French Polynesia. The valley hosts the most important industrial area of the country. The area is becoming an emblematic area because of urbanization impacts on natural environment. Exploitation of water resources is a central preoccupation.The aim of the present study is to analyze and to understand the surface and soil water transfer processes allowing for quantifying its vulnerability to the impact of human activities. Using a theoretical methodology especially developed for the characterization of hydrodynamic soil characteristics, the first part of this work is focused on the relation between textural and structural soil properties. Physical and analytical concepts are used to find a way to open a new data provision strategy based on the knowledge of measurable textural soil properties. The approach provides an original solution for tackling the important scale problem that affects most integrated modeling schemes used to describe hydrological flow processes at watershed scale. Second part of this work is focused on the statistical analysis of the hydrological field data. The results give a new insight in the hydrological and hydrogeological flow processes of the lower part of the Punaru'u valley. A quantitative interpretation shows how soil water resources are affect by human activities. The three alluvial aquifers situated in the first 40 m from the soil surface are all connected. The analytical approach and the hydrogeological interpretation allow for setting up a modeling scheme based on the “ModFlow” solver; the model is able to reproduce the hydrological flow processes of the lower part of thePunaru’u valley

Brazil has an area of 715,580 thousand hectares of citrus fruits (Orange and Lemon), resulting in a production in the year 2015 of 17,926,518.00 million tons, of which 47,391 thousand ha are of Lemon and ‘Tahiti’ Lime (IBGE, 2017), which demonstrates the importance of the activity for the country. In the state of Paraná, the Lemon / ‘Tahiti’ Lime area occupies an area of 1034 hectares, resulting in a production of 30,141 tons, generating a Gross Production Value (VBP) of R$ 50,637,384.00 million (1,8% of state fruit production), showing the importance of the crop to the state. The work was carried out between February 2015 and July 2016 (2014/2015, 2015/2016), in rural properties located in the municipalities of Santa Fé, Ângulo, Iguaraçu, Nova Esperança and Altônia, both in the state of Paraná . It was obtained the establishment of the DRIS norms for the nutritional diagnosis of Tahiti Lime (Citrus latifolia Tanaka) for the State of Paraná, using as standard the productivity of 32.5 t ha-1 (2014/2015 and 2015/2016 crops). It was observed in the data of the samples of the selected cut point (above 32.5 t ha-1) that in the agricultural year 2014/2015 the major deficiency was nutrient B (40%), followed by Mg (26%). As for nutrient contents, nutrients S (25%), Ca (20%) and K (18%) were observed. Already, in the results with the data of the agricultural year 2015/2016, deficiency of P (21%) was verified, followed by the nutrients B and Fe (20% both). In relation to the contents of excessive nutrients, one can observe K (21%), followed by nutrients N (16%) and Mn (14%). It is possible to define a criterion for choosing which matrix generated by the DRIS system to use at the field level, since the higher the productivity, the lower the IBN was obtained by calculating and analyzing the correlation (r) between the Nutritional Balance Index IBN) and DRIS matrices for the different productive levels. it was obtained the establishment of the DRIS standards for Tahiti Lime (Citrus latifolia Tanaka) for the state of Paraná, using as standard, productivity above 32.5 t ha-1.
O Brasil possuí uma área de 715.580 mil hectares de frutas cítricas (Laranja e Limão), resultando em uma produção no ano de 2015 de 17.926.518,00 milhões de toneladas, sendo que desse montante 47.391 mil ha são de Limão e Lima Ácida (IBGE, 2017), o que demonstra a importância da atividade para o país. No Paraná, o Limão/Lima Ácida Tahiti ocupa uma área de 1034 hectares, resultando em uma produção de 30.141 toneladas, gerando um Valor Bruto de Produção (VBP) de R$ 50.637.384,00 milhões (1,8% da produção da fruticultura estadual), mostrando a importância da cultura para o estado. O trabalho foi realizado entre os meses de Fevereiro de 2015 à Julho de 2016 (safras 2014/2015, 2015/2016), em propriedades rurais situadas nos municípios de Santa Fé, Ângulo, Iguaraçu, Nova Esperança e Altônia, ambos no estado do Paraná. Obteve-se o estabelecimento das normas DRIS para a diagnose nutricional da Lima Ácida Tahiti (Citrus latifolia Tanaka) para o Estado do Paraná, utilizando como padrão a produtividade de 32,5 t ha-1 (safras 2014/2015 e 2015/2016). Observou-se nos dados das amostras do ponto de corte escolhido (acima de 32,5 t ha-1) que, no ano agrícola 2014/2015 a deficiência maior foi do nutriente B (40%), seguido do Mg (26%). Quanto aos teores dos nutrientes excessivos, verificou-se nos nutrientes S (25%), seguidos do Ca (20%) e K (18%). Já, nos resultados com os dados do ano agrícola 2015/2016, verificou-se deficiência de P (21%), seguido dos nutrientes B e Fe (20% ambos). Em relação aos teores de nutrientes excessivos, pode-se observar o K (21%), seguido dos nutrientes N (16%) e Mn (14%). Pode-se definir um critério para escolha de qual matriz gerada pelo sistema DRIS utilizar à nível de campo, haja vista que quanto maior a produtividade menor foi o IBN, através do cálculo e análise da correlação (r) entre o Índice de Balanço Nutricional (IBN) e matrizes DRIS para os diferentes níveis produtivos. obteve-se o estabelecimento das normas DRIS para a Lima Ácida Tahiti (Citrus latifolia Tanaka) para o estado do Paraná, utilizando como padrão, a produtividade acima de 32,5 t ha-1.

Повний текст джерелаThe spanish expeditions to Tahiti at the end of the 18th century, commissioned by the Viceroy of Peru, Manuel de Amat and led by Captain Boenechea were launched in the wake of the english discoveries of Pacific's islands. From the examination of first-hand spanish manuscripts and texts, written between 1772 and 1776, the author of this work proposes, in a first part to study the results of these spanish expeditions to Tahiti. If the first expedition of 1772 is sheer exploration, the second one in 1774 consists of both a mission meant to check the facts that had been imperfectly collected during the first expedition and a mission of evangelization. But the latter, timidly led by two franciscans ended in total failure, a failure the causes of which are clarified in this study. The clash between two cultures, the tribulations of the two franciscans appear in the chronicle of the soldier and later interpreter Maximo Rodriguez and the diary of brother Geronimo Clota. From the accounts of the iberian navigators of the period between 1772 and 1776 and especially from the experience of the soldier and interpreter, expounded in his diary of 1774-1775, written over a period of ten months, we are acquainted with elements of the tahitian culture at a time when it was still flourishing and protected from any outside influences and in particular, with the last moments of a great chief of the island of Tahiti. Those spanish testimonies, unique though very often neglected by the history of ancient tahiti present us with a spanih outlook on the tahitian society and its oral tradition which is just as interisting as that of the famous Captain Cook. Scraps of the genuine tahitian memory are collected there. In the second part of the work, the author proposes a critical edition of Maximo Rodriguez's diary established in spanish from the Paris 1788 manuscript (still unpublished) and compared with the London 1935 manuscript. This retranscription is preceded by the review of the two manuscripts as well as by the biography of its author

Повний текст джерелаCom o objetivo de verificar o efeito da concentração de ácido giberélico (0, 20, 40 e 80 mg/L) sobre a floração e produção da safra e entressafra da lima ácida 'Tahiti', foi conduzido um experimento em solo tipo Latossolo Vermelho Amarelo localizado no distrito de Kilombo, município de Iacanga - SP. O experimento foi constituído de quatro tratamentos, cinco blocos e o delineamento estatístico foi de blocos casualizados. Buscando melhorar a distribuição do produto na planta foi utilizado um espalhante adesivo organosiliconado. Verificou-se que com o aumento da concentração de ácido giberélico ocorreu diminuição na produção de flores da safra normal nos dois anos do experimento. Também foi observado, para a safra normal, redução no número de frutos, na produtividade por planta e uma tendência de aumento no peso médio individual dos frutos, como conseqüência da menor competição entre órgãos reprodutivos na planta. O diâmetro dos frutos também aumentou como conseqüência dessa menor competição. A concentração que promoveu os resultados mais efetivos foi de 80 mg/L. A produção da entressafra também foi afetada pelo aumento da concentração. Foi observado um aumento de 61,54% na produção em relação à testemunha, para a concentração de 80 mg/L. A testemunha e as demais concentrações não apresentaram diferenças estatísticas entre si com relação a produção da entressafra. A técnica apresentou-se economicamente viável para a produção da entressafra com a concentração de 80mg/L, estimando-se um retorno de R$ 2,26 por planta.

The experimental design was randomized blocks composed of five blocks each with four treatments (control, 20, 40 and 80 mg/L). In order to improve the distribution of the product in the tree, an adhesive organic sulfate was used. It was verified that an increase of gibberellic acid concentration decreased the number of flowers for the two years of the experiment occurred. In the season, it was observed that the number of fruits and the productivity diminished in the tree. It was also observed a trend of increase in the individual average weight of the fruits for the normal harvest as consequence of the lesser competition between reproductive organs in the tree. The diameter of the fruits also was magnified as consequence of the lower competition. The concentration that promoted the most effective results was 80 mg/L. The production of out season was also affected by the raise of concentration. An increase of 61.54% in production was observed evaluate control with the treatment of 80 mg/L. The control and others concentration (except 80 mg/l) didn't represent statistical significance in production of out season.

Повний текст джерелаBrazil is the largest world producer of citrus crop, with São Paulo state leading as the largest national producer. Recent studies show that irrigated areas of citrus in the state have been increasing significantly in the last few years. However, lack of information on irrigation management related to this crop is one of the main problems encountered by the farmers. In order to address the above problem, the objective of this work was to determine the evapotranspiration of acid lime adult plant variety \'Tahiti\' (Citrus latifolia Tan.) and the crop coefficient during dry period (autumn - winter) using a weighing lysimeter technique. The crop coefficient (Kc = ETc/ETo) was calculated by considering the independent contribution of the evaporation of the soil and transpiration of the plant, being substituted by two coefficients: Ke, a soil water evaporation coefficient and Kcb, a basal crop coefficient. To evaluate the productive aspects as well as the fruit quality, different irrigation levels were applied in an increasing manner from 50 to 125 % of the crop evapotranspiration. The experiment was carried out at ESALQ / USP in Piracicaba - SP, in a drip irrigated area with plant spacing of 7 x 4 m. Each plant was supplied with four wetting equidistant emitters. The climatic data was obtained by the use of automated meteorological station and the crop evapotraspiration by the use of a weighing lysimeter. During the study period, Kc varied from 0.82 to 1.18, and Kcb varied from 0.86 to 1.05. The results showed that the irrigation amount calculated by the method of Kcb+Ke had a very good water consumption precision by the plant. The highest consumptions were observed in the months of high average temperature (April and September). The reposition of 100 % of the evapotranspirated water resulted in the highest fruit production of acid lime tree variety \'Tahiti\' in field conditions. Irrigation levels had no significant effect at 0.05 level on the quality of the fruits.

In writing his own libretto for Trouble in Tahiti, Leonard Bernstein took on the opera genre in a non-conventional way: with a text about a failing marriage. He used the unhappy marriage of his parents as source material for the libretto. The music of the opera highlights the tension of the marriage, including several duets in which the couple remembers a time of healthiness in their relationship. Bernstein uses the allegory of the unhappy couple to both illustrate the social expectation of a suburban family in post-war America and as a means to address gender roles by showing how each of the characters struggle to comply with the gendered social expectations of their parental and spousal duties.

Objetivando caracterizar sanitariamente a lima ácida ‘Tahiti’ clone Quebra-galho [C. latifolia (Yu. Tanaka) Tanaka] e selecionar plantas candidatas a matrizes, 80 plantas foram avaliadas quanto aos sintomas de tristeza, exocorte, sorose e pelo estado nutricional, desenvolvimento, produção e qualidade de frutos e por testes biológicos para as viroses citadas e xiloporose. Para viróides, empregou-se também RT-PCR. Todos os testes biológicos foram positivos para tristeza e negativos para xiloporose. Para exocorte, 82,5% dos testes foram positivos. No caso da sorose, 11,2% dos testes foram positivos apesar das plantas de campo não apresentarem sintomas. Quanto à tristeza, a reação em ‘Galego’ foi fraca (58,8%), média (40%) e forte (1,2%), sem caneluras nos ramos das plantas no campo. Os viróides Hop stunt viroid (HSVd), Citrus dwarfing viroid (CVd-III) e o Citrus exocortis viroid (CEVd) foram encontrados em 31,3%, 82,5% e 100,0% das plantas, respectivamente. Todas as plantas estudadas estavam infectadas com o CTV e com o CEVd, que foi encontrado isoladamente ou em combinação com outros viróides. Diferenças observadas na expressão dos sintomas de exocorte e tristeza na copa e no porta-enxerto podem ser atribuídas a interferências entre os viróides e a seleção pela multiplicação de gemas de árvores contaminadas por variantes pouco virulentas. O estado nutricional, o desenvolvimento, a produção e a qualidade dos frutos não apresentaram associação com o tipo de contaminação por viróides, o que também ocorreu com as plantas selecionadas como candidatas a matrizes em função da produção e qualidade física dos frutos.
Aiming at to characterize sanitarily the acid lime ‘Tahiti’ clone “Quebragalho” [C. latifolia (Yu. Tanaka) Tanaka] and select applicant mother plants, 80 plants were evaluated about the symptoms of tristeza disease, exocortis, psorosis and nutritional state, development, production and quality of the fruits, and by biological tests for the cited viruses and xyloporosis. For the viroids, was used RT-PCR too. All the biological tests were positive for tristeza disease and negative for xyloporosis. For exocortis, 82.5% of the tests were positive. In the case of the psorosis, 11.2% of the tests were positive although the plants in the field do not present symptoms. To the tristeza disease, the reaction in 'Galego' was of weak (58.8%), middle (40.0%) and strong (1.2%), without pittings in the branches of the plants in the field. The viroids Hop stunt viroid (HSVd), Citrus dwarfing viroid (CVd-III) and the Citrus exocortis viroid (CEVd) were found, respectively, in 31.3%, 82.5% and 100.0% of the plants. All of the plants in study were infected with the CTV and the CEVd, that was found isolately or in combinations with other viroids. Differences observed in the expression of the exocortis symptoms and tristeza disease in the cup and in the rootstock can be attributed to interferences between the viroids and the selection by the multiplication through cuttings of infected trees by strains few virulent. The nutritional state, development, production and quality of the fruits, did not presented association with the type of contamination by viroids, what also occurred with the applicant mother plants selected in function of the production and physical quality of the fruits.
