Повний текст джерелаThis research is oriented to the exploration of all the qualitative and quantitative information necessary to be able to establish the basic criteria that sustain and support the architectural design of a High-Performance Sports Centre addressed to one of the most outstanding sports in our country. Peru, as a coastal paradise, represents for the world an important focus for the development of water sports and in recent years, the discipline of the Surfing has had an exponential growth placing itself as Latin American capital of the big international competitions and being this a great motivation for the development of a High-Performance Sports Centre and Diffusion of the Surfing. Consequently, this centre would be a milestone, not only on the Peruvian coast but also in Latin America because it would be the only one in the region. We know that the High-Performance Centre is a sports establishment whose purpose is to harbor, train and educate the elite athlete during his training process in order to be able to face international competitions. That is why in the architecture we find a tool to create a balanced environment between controlled training inside sports installations and uncontrolled training under the changing conditions that the sea represents. In other words, this sports centre would be essential to optimise and improve the physical performance of our elite athletes.

Повний текст джерелаCompetitive surfing requires athletes to transfer force from their core musculature to maneuver a surfboard successfully with powerful, rotational movements on an unpredictable wave's surface. The purpose of this study was to test athletic performance outcomes in junior elite male surf athletes using a battery of field tests specific to the sport of surfing and determine the effects of a core strength training program (CSTP) on athletic performance outcomes. Nineteen junior elite surf athletes completed a pretest, 8-week CSTP, and posttest of rotational power, lower body power, core strength, core endurance, and rotational flexibility. Means, standard deviations, paired t-tests with a significance of p < 0.05, and effect size was computed. Results demonstrated significant differences in time to peak maximal acceleration, left rotational power, core strength, core endurance, and rotational flexibility. This study concludes implementation of the CSTP enhances athletic performance measurements which is likely to increase overall surfing performance.

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis deals with lower bounds for complexity measures related to subclasses of the class P of languages that can be decided by Turing machines in polynomial time. We consider non-uniform computational models like programs over monoids and branching programs.Our first contribution is an abstract, measure-independent treatment of Nečiporuk's method for proving lower bounds. This method still gives the best lower bounds known on measures such as the size of deterministic and non-deterministic branching programs or formulae{} with arbitrary binary Boolean operators; we give an abstract formulation of the method and use this framework to prove limits on the best lower bounds obtainable using this method for several complexity measures. We thereby confirm previously known limitation results in this slightly more general framework and showcase new limitation results for complexity measures to which Nečiporuk's method had never been applied.Our second contribution is a better understanding of the computational power of programs over monoids taken from small varieties of finite monoids. Programs over monoids were introduced in the late 1980s by Barrington and Thérien as a way to generalise recognition by morphisms so as to obtain a finite-semigroup-theoretic characterisation of NC^1 and its subclasses. Given a variety V of finite monoids, one considers the class P(V) of languages recognised by a sequence of polynomial-length programs over a monoid from V: as V ranges over all varieties of finite monoids, one obtains different subclasses of NC^1, for instance AC^0, ACC^0 and NC^1 when V respectively is the variety of all finite aperiodic, finite solvable and finite monoids. We introduce a new notion of tameness for varieties of finite monoids, strengthening a notion of Péladeau. The main interest of this notion is that when a variety V of finite monoids is tame, we have that P(V) does only contain regular languages that are quasi morphism-recognised by monoids from V. Many open questions about the internal structure of NC^1 would be settled by showing that some appropriate variety of finite monoids is tame, and, in this thesis, we modestly start an exhaustive study of which varieties of finite monoids are tame. More precisely, we focus on two well-known small varieties of finite aperiodic monoids: DA and J. On the one hand, we show that DA is tame using finite-semigroup-theoretic arguments. This allows us to derive an exact algebraic characterisation of the class of regular languages in P(DA). On the other hand, we show that J is not tame. To do this, we present a trick by which programs over monoids from J can recognise much more regular languages than only those that are quasi morphism-recognised by monoids from J. This brings us to conjecture an exact algebraic characterisation of the class of regular languages in P(J), and we lay out some partial results that support this conjecture. For each of the varieties DA and J, we also exhibit a program-length-based hierarchy within the class of languages recognised by programs over monoids from the variety, refining Tesson and Thérien's results on the polynomial-length property for monoids from those varieties

Повний текст джерелаCette these propose des elements de solution a deux de ces problemes. Le premier probleme est la non-differentiabilite des programmes reels, pour certaines entrees.
Les outils de DA negligent souvent ce probleme, alors que les utilisateurs ont besoin d'une grande confiance dans ces derivees avant de les utiliser, par exemple dans des boucles d'optimisation. Quelle que soit son origine reelle, cette non-differentiabilite se traduit dans la structure de controle des programmes. Plutot que d'etudier des extensions de la notion de derivee, nous preferons ici caracteriser le domaine autour des entrees courantes pour lequel le controle reste constant et la differentiabilite est conservee. Nous proposons plusieurs approches et evaluons leurs complexites. Nous etudions formellement une construction du domaine entier, mais sa complexite limite son application. Alternativement, nous proposons une methode directionnelle moins couteuse, que nous avons implementee et validee sur plusieurs exemples. Le second probleme est l'efficacite du mode inverse de la DA, qui produit des codes 'adjoints' calculant des gradients. Ces codes utilisent les valeurs intermediaires du programme initial dans l'ordre inverse, ce qui necessite une combinaison de sauvegarde et de recalcul de ces valeurs. Une tactique fondamentale, nommee 'ckeckpointing', economise de la memoire au prix de la reexecution de segments de code. Dans notre travail, nous formalisons les analyses de flot de donnees necessaires a la differentiation inverse, y compris dans le cas du checkpointing. A partir de cette formalisation, nous proposons deux avancees aux strategies de la DA inverse. D'une part ces analyses nous fournissent des ensembles de valeurs a sauvegarder, que nous pouvons prouver minimaux.
D'autre part nous en tirons des indications sur les meilleurs segments de code candidats au checkpointing. Pour experimenter ces choix, nous etendons les analyses et l'algorithme de differentiation inverse de notre outil de DA. Nous montrons les benefices que l'on peut attendre sur des codes reels.

Повний текст джерелаEste trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o impacto do Programa de AlfabetizaÃÃo na Idade Certa (PAIC) e de outras variÃveis que caracterizam as famÃlias, a escola e o decente, sobre o resultado municipal da Prova Brasil em 2011 dos alunos do 5 ano do Ensino Fundamental, oriundos do Programa em 2008 (2Âano do Ensino Fundamental). Para isto, estima-se dois modelos economÃtricos utilizando os mÃtodos dos MÃnimos Quadrados OrdinÃrios e SUR, a partir dos microdados da Prova Brasil e da Pesquisa de InformaÃÃes BÃsicas Municipais - IBGE. AtravÃs de uma anÃlise comparativa dos resultados por municÃpio do Estado do Cearà com outros municÃpios nordestinos, foram encontradas evidÃncias que corroboram a hipÃtese de que o PAIC exerce um papel contundente na educaÃÃo de crianÃas, especialmente aquelas cujas mÃes nÃo sÃo alfabetizadas.
This Study aims to analyze the impacts of the Literacy Program at Right Age (PAIC), and other variables that characterize the householders, schools and teachers, on the outcome of Proof Brazil in 2011 from students at 5th Grade of Elementary School that participated of this program in 2007 and 2008 (2nd year of Elementary School). For this we estimate two models using methods of OLS and SUR using municipal microdata from Proof Brazil and data from Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Through a comparative analysis of the results we have found evidences supporting the hypothesis that the PAIC Program plays a role in the education of the children from the cities that have established the program, especially those whose mothers are less literate.

Повний текст джерелаThe objective of this thesis is to analyze the efficiency of the implementation of new research policies, which change the rationale of funding allocation to academic researchers in France. The creation of the French funding agency 'Agence Nationale de la Recherche' (ANR) in 2005 gives a higher weight to grants allocated in a competitive way, in addition to the traditional block funds allocated to laboratories. This approach is based on the rationale of introducing some competition between researchers and to award only those who prepare the best proposals. Furthermore the program 'Investissement d'Avenir' (PIA), initiated by the French government in 2010, has been implemented to foster research excellence. Thus some competing universities obtain high level of funding in order to improve their international visibility. The first chapter of the thesis studies to what extent do funding agencies support novel research. We investigate the influence of the originality of conducted research over the decision of the researchers to apply and over the evaluation of the projects by the agency. In the second chapter, we assess and quantify the impact of receiving a competitive grant from the ANR on several indicators measuring the ex-post research performances of grantees. Our study is based on a database covering all the applications to the ANR between 2005 and 2009. The third chapter studies the implementation of a policy based on the allocation of a substantial competitive subvention to some selected universities and research laboratories. We investigate how this policy impacts the ex-post research performances of the researchers and faculty members with an application to the University of Bordeaux

Повний текст джерелаIn this thesis, we propose a theoritical perspective on the international trade of television programs. Our ambition is two fold. The first part aims to establish a typology of the determinants of international specialization. This typology allows to reproduce the two main empirical facts which follows: a one-way trade from united states to western europe and a two-way trade between european countries. In the light of various theoritical fields, standard international trade, new international economics, transaction cost theory and new industrial economics, we higlight the necessary combination of several sources of trade advantages. The second part deals with the questions of the legitimacy and the efficiency of protectionnism in television programs. We show that, if consumers' preferences are heterogeneous, il exists some possibilities for free trade to be suboptimal. Hence, such a policy may fail to ensure that the demand for domestic programs will be fullfield. However, regarding the alleged inferiority of quantitative restrictions, its turns out that the european audiovisual policy of television quotas, wich limits the imports of foreign programs, has to be questioned. Actually, such a policy is unable to achieve its main goal: to guarantee the viability of a European television programs industry

Повний текст джерелаIn France, various recommendations have been made these last few years to support the implantation of preventive evidence-based programs in the field of parenting and early childhood. If their diffusion is perceived by governmental authorities as an opportunity to reduce a number of health and social risk factors and to promote the health and well-being of populations, their appropriation is not established and is at the core of numerous debates. The present PhD research consists in a descriptive sociological study providing perspectives on the French translation of these American evidence-based programs. Carrying out ethnographical field inquiries (observations and interviews) in France and in the United-States, this research aims to highlight the way these evidence-based programs are developed in their country of origin and readapted in France, from their institutional elaboration to their practical application in the field. The manuscript, written in a narrative format, consists in two parts. The first part takes interests in the production process of parenting and early childhood evidence-based policies in an American economic research centre and their adaptation in a scientific department of a French public health institute. The second part approaches the practical setting of two evidence-based interventions, and highlights the way in which they are impacting professional practices and family educative strategies, shaping and forming a different conception of parenting in both countries. The results of this exploratory study emphasize national specificities in regard to the appropriation of parenting programs by these two countries, and allow to learn a number of lessons regarding public health expertise in the field of parenting

Повний текст джерелаAlthough secundary education, both Chilean and French education, has not been unaware to the risk that philosophy has run with the intervention of the liberal and neoliberal policies in education, the multiple edges that build its institutional framework have been able to defend and, therefore, maintain the teaching to adolescents. This has certainly been an achievement, but, what philosofy has defended itself? For what? These interrogatives are also some of which Jaques Derrida contemplated in the seventies, with the idea of putting into practice and systematize the theoretical work that he had been doing since the publication of Of Grammatology in 1967.In this research, we attempt to answer these interrogatives from Derrida’s work, done between 1967 and 1968. We consider that this period – which is institutive– allows us to demonstrate that deconstruction would have the philosophical basis as strategic teaching. From the deconstructive premise, we intend to establish certain guidelines to justify the presence of philosophy in high school, needed to generate a referential philosophical framework and create future strategies of teaching philosophy, distinctive of historical, geographical and cultural conditions of the adolescents and which are the fundamental basis of the possibility of deconstruction -resistance and struggle- of the philosophical institution
A pesar que la enseñanza secundaria, tanto la chilena como la francesa, no ha estado ajena al riesgo que ha corrido la filosofía con la intervención de políticas liberales y neoliberales en la educación, las múltiples aristas que constituyen su entramado institucional, han sabido defender y, por lo tanto, mantener la enseñanza de la filosofía para los jóvenes. Sin duda que esto ha sido un logro, pero ¿qué filosofía se ha defendido? ¿Para qué? Estas preguntas son también algunas de las cuales se planteó Jacques Derrida en los años setenta con la idea de poner en práctica y de sistematizar el trabajo teórico que venía haciendo desde la publicación de De la gramatología en 1967. En esta investigación intentamos responder estas interrogantes a partir del trabajo realizado por Derrida entre los años 1967 y 1978. Consideramos queeste período −que es instituyente− nos permite demostrar que la deconstrucción tendría como base estratégica la enseñanza filosófica. A partir de esta premisa pretendemos establecer ciertos lineamientos deconstructivos que justifiquen la presencia de la filosofía en secundaria, necesarios para generar un marco filosófico referencial y para crear futuras estrategias de enseñanza de la filosofía que sean propias a las condiciones históricas, geográficas y culturalesde los jóvenes, base fundamental de la posibilidad de deconstrucción −resistencia y lucha− de la institución filosófica

In this context, they must perform a succession of elementary tasks (analysis, coding, linking with existing code ...), but in order to perform these tasks, a developer must regularly change his context of work (search information, read code ...) and analyze code that is not his. These actions require a high adaptation time and reduce the efficiency of the developer. Software modeling is a solution to this type of problem. It offers an abstract view of a software, links between its entities as well as algorithms used. However, Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) is still underutilized in business. In this thesis, we propose a tool to improve the understanding of a program using dynamic and interactive diagrams. This tool is called VisUML and focuses on the main coding activity of the developer. VisUML provides views (on web pages or modeling tools) synchronized with the code.The generated UML diagrams are interactive and allow fast navigation with and in the code. This navigation reduces the loss of time and context due to activity changes by providing at any time an abstract diagram view of the elements currently open in the developer’s coding tool. In the end, VisUML was evaluated by twenty developers as part of a qualitative experimentation of the tool to estimate the usefulness of such a tool

Повний текст джерелаThe framework of Marion Chommaux's PhD thesis is a very active and requiring area of representation theory of p-adic groups, called the "local Langlands program''. A highly investigated branch of this program is the ``relative Langlands program'', of which one of the key players is Dipendra Prasad. Together with Takloo-Bighash, he proposed in 2011 a conjecture concerning distinction of discrete series of inner forms of p-adic general linear groups, with respect to the centralizer of the invertibles of a quadratic extension of the base field: this conjecture is in terms of subtle Galois invariants. In her doctoral work, Marion completeley solves this conjecture in the case of Steinberg representations, and proves it for level zero cuspidal representations of split inner forms. In this latter case, it is remarkable that she obtains a counter-example to a more general version of the conjecture. The techniques employed are diverse. In the first chapter on Steinberg representations, the main tool is the Bernstein-Zelevinsky geometric lemma, but some analytical invariants such as L-functions also play a role. In the second chapter the essential ingredients are Bushnell-Kutzko's type theory (more precisely the admissible pairs of Bushnell-Henniart) and the geometry of the Bruhat-Tits building. Once the classification of level zero cuspidal representations is obtained, Marion skilfully reduces the verification of the conjecture to a result of Fröhlich and Queyrut on the Galois side

Повний текст джерелаThe goal of varietal selection is to produce new varieties from existing diversity. For marketable sugar beet varieties, the accumulation of prerequisite traits such as sugar yield per hectare, multiple disease resistance or reduced nitrogen inputs, dramatically reduced the genetic variability available in breeding programs. One of the AKER project’s main goal was to enrich this genetic diversity with an original approach making use of exotic genetic resources. An analysis of a collection of genes from resources around the world allowed to identify 16 exotic accessions representing all the allelic diversity absent from elite sugar beets. The purpose of this PhD is to promote the introgression of exotic genetic resources discovered in the AKER project in a pre-breeding program using genomic selection. Different pre-breeding schemes must be able to be simulated and compared in order to guide the production of a pre-breeding population comprising fragments of exotic accessions, a population which will constitute a useful and diverse gene pool from which breeders can draw to create new varieties of sugar beets. The hypothesis made in the AKER program that the introduction of exotic regions into a pre breeding program can provide useful genetic diversity was first verified by comparing the genetic architecture of several characters in two populations : an (elite x exotic) progeny and an elite panel. This genetic architecture, which corresponds to the number of genomic regions involved in the expression of the trait, their location on the genome, and the proportion of the trait that they explain, was determined thanks to a QTL study. The genetic architecture of root yield was then studied in populations called "AKER populations", each population created from the introgression of a single exotic accession within an elite germplasm. This study assessed the effect of every exotic fragment on root yield. With a specially developed simulator, different pre-breeding schemes all starting with AKER populations were simulated and compared. These simulations made it possible to study the impact of several parameters on the evolution of root yield and on the genetic diversity present in the final pre-breeding population

Повний текст джерелаIn the past few decades, in Quebec, there are significant increases in the prevalence of at-risk-for overweight and overweight among children and adolescents. Moreover, the majority of children and adolescents do not meet daily recommendations for vegetables and fruits (VF) and dairy products (DP) consumption. Therefore, the Quebec education program has encouraged schools to develop new competencies to improve the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits. The Team Nutriathlon, a computer-assisted school-based nutrition intervention, has been created to support this initiative. This program aimed to increase the consumption and variety of VF and DP in children. The aims of this study were (1) to evaluate the impact of Team Nutriathlon, a school-based nutrition intervention, on VF and DP consumption in children, and (2) to evaluate factors that influence the success of the program among high school students. The results of the study show that during and immediately after the program, children in the intervention group consumed more servings of VF and DP compared to the control group. No effect has been shown ten weeks after the program. Students reveal that the use of technology for recording the number of servings, team work, teacher’s and family’s implication and the use of strategies were facilitating factors contributing to the success of the program. Students also revealed that the lack of attendance with the data collection outside of school hours, the user code dysfunction and the incompatibility of the Web platform with students technologic tools (tablet) were barriers for the success of the program.

Повний текст джерелаSince more than twenty years, the educational quality has been subject to lots of public debates in Vietnam. Several renovation solutions was adopted without achieving the expected results. As the country has strongly integrated the international market, ICT-based innovation and international quality assessment become first priorities fixed in the national educational policies. A lot of training programmes have been assessed by the ASEAN University Network (AUN). Among the criteria used in this quality-assurance assessment, encompassing 15 sub-criteria that relate more or less to the use of the ICT in the educational activities. We analyzed the results of four Vietnamese programmes assessed in 2009 and 2011 and founded that there is a significant difference of the perception about the ICT use quality between the internal stakeholders and the external assessors in these programmes. From this revelation, we aim to elaborate a measurement instrument which may help all of the programme’s internal or external stakeholders to identify the factors contributing to the students’ satisfaction about the ICT use in their degree courses. Some existing models such as TAM, CEQ, SCEQ, eLEQ were integrated in the context of AUN-QA assessment at the programme level. The survey was conducted at five Vietnamese programmes assessed in 2009, 2011 and 2014, with 453 full responses. The data analysis confirms the validity of our proposed measurement model

Il se privilégie le dévoilement des présuppositions et les fondements de l'idéer qui constituent la politique et les pratiques de telle proposition, em présentand une critique des politiques pour formation d'enseignants dans le contexte de réformes (de l'économie, de l'État, de l'éducation) de la dernière décennie du siècle passé, considéré que le scénario qui conforme à l'actuelle conjoncture scolaire du pays. S'identifient à des consensus et des dissensions de la politique scolaire élaborée et exécutée par SEMED, au moyen du PSLTQLE, avec ce mouvement de réformes, en indiquant leur joint avec les exigences des organismes internationaux, dans le but d'assurer plus adéquation de l'éducation la logique du marché. . Il est caractérisé, encore, le contexte de l'accomplissement des actions de la formation continue du coordinateurs(trices) pédagogiques et des professeurs détachant les limits et possibilités pour une formation avec qualité intellectuelle, pédagogique et politique, capables pour baser un travail consciencieux, critique et d'émancipateur. L'étude théorique il a été accompli au moyen de l'analyse de la littérature sur la thématique et de documents officiels. Dans la sélection de la littérature, on considéré l existence des projets distincts dans le conflit dans le domaine éducatif, choisissant au dialogue avec des referenciais produits à l'intérieur des mouvements organisés de l'éducateurs(trices) et avec formulations d'auteurs inséré dans la perspective historique-critique. La recherche empirique a été exécutée au moyen d'analyse de document edite pour les formulateurs (trices) de la politique éducative de la ville de São Luís; de la discussion de groupe vec 03 (trois) formatrices de formateurs(trices) et de l'application des questionnaires joint a 08 (huit) coordinateurs(trices) pédagógiques, qu'ils agissent dans les écoles du projet Escolas-em-Rede, étant celui-ci, responsable des actions de la formation continue des professeurs en service. L'analyse des données a montré que l'articulateur PSLTQLE est un projet de paradigmes néo-libérale qui met en oeuvre des actions de formation continue des enseignants . afin de donner forme à leur conduite et d'exploitation pour atteindre objectifs fixés de manière centralisée, grâce à l'engagement pour les changements nécessaires pour la mise en oeuvre d'un programme fixé par le programme national des directives et des paramètres. Ainsi, impose des limites sur le développement de l'autonomie et la réflexion critique, plus efficace espace-temps pour les discussions collectives, de façon systématique et avec une fréquence fixée en contribuant à réduire les incertitudes et les angoisses des enseignants dans le processus la planification et l'exécution des situations d'apprentissage pour qualifié des étudiants.
Este trabalho é fruto de uma reflexão teórico-empírica do contexto em que se materializa a proposta de formação continuada de professores(as) da SEMED- São Luis, implementada pelo Programa São Luís te quero lendo e escrevendo (PSLTQLE). Privilegia-se o desvelamento dos pressupostos e fundamentos do ideário que constituem a política e as práticas de tal proposta, apresentando uma análise crítica das políticas para formação de professores(as) no contexto de reformas (da economia, do Estado, da educação) da última década do século passado, entendido como o cenário que conforma a atual conjuntura educacional do país. Identificam-se consensos e dissensos da política educacional elaborada e executada pela SEMED com esse movimento de reformas, apontando sua articulação com as exigências dos organismos internacionais, no sentido de assegurar maior adequação da educação à lógica do mercado. Caracteriza-se, ainda, o contexto de realização das ações de formação continuada de coordenadores(as) pedagógicos(as) e de professores(as), destacando limites e possibilidades para uma formação com qualidade intelectual, pedagógica e política, capaz de fundamentar um trabalho consciente, crítico e emancipador. O estudo teórico efetivou-se mediante a análise da literatura sobre a temática e de documentos oficiais. Na seleção da literatura, considerou-se a existência de projetos distintos em disputa no campo educacional, optando-se pelo diálogo com referenciais produzidos no interior dos movimentos organizados de educadores(as) e com formulações de autores(as) inseridos(as) na perspectiva histórico-crítica. A pesquisa empírica foi realizada por meio da análise de documentos publicados pelos(as) formuladores(as) das políticas educacionais do município de São Luís; da discussão de grupo com 03 (três) formadoras de formadores(as) e da aplicação de questionário junto a 08 (oito) coordenadores(as) pedagógicos(as) que atuam em escolas do Projeto Escolas-em-Rede, sendo, estes(as), responsáveis pelas ações de formação continuada de professores(as) em serviço. A análise dos dados evidenciaram que o PSLTQLE é um projeto articulador dos paradigmas neoliberais que implementa ações de formação continuada dos(as) professores(as) no intuito de delinear e instrumentalizar sua conduta para o alcance de metas definidas centralizadamente, por meio do comprometimento com as mudanças necessárias para a execução de um currículo definido pelas diretrizes e parâmetros curriculares nacionais. Assim, coloca limites para o desenvolvimento da autonomia e da reflexão crítica, apesar de efetivar espaço-tempo para discussões coletivas, de forma sistemática e com periodicidade definido, contribuindo para a minimização das angústias e incertezas dos(as) professores(as) no processo de planejamento e execução de situações que oportunizem aprendizagens para os(as) alunos(as).

Por meio de modificações nas técnicas clássicas de modelagem das descargas atmosféricas, foi possível a construção de um software em Visual Basic capaz de quantificar os valores das tensões induzidas em linhas de distribuição finitas. The present work aims at the development of a trustworthy computacional tool in the analysis and estimate of the levels of induced overvoltage in distribution network. In this context, consolidated computacional tools are used, as ATP (Alternative Transients Program), that combined with a software developed in Visual Basic (beginner's all-purpose symbolic instruction code), they allow to quantify and to evaluate the level of overvoltage in the distribution network. Повний текст джерелаParkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterised by resting tremor and rigidity. In addition to these motor symptoms of PD, other non-motor symptoms occur, such as cognitive deficits. Approximately 30% of PD patients develop Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) with executive dysfunction, that is, difficulties in executive functions. These functions are the ability to organize and coordinate thoughts, goal directed behaviors and to regulate emotions. Few treatments are actually available specifically for cognitive impairment in PD patients. Since medication development can take several years and cause adverse side effects, other non-pharmacological treatments may be useful in helping patients with PD-MCI. This thesis aims to evaluate two non-pharmacological approaches (cognitive training and psychoeducation), which were adapted to patients with PD-MCI. In order to meet certain limitations of previous studies, the Goal Management Training (GMT) training program was chosen for administration to PD-MCI patients with executive dysfunction. Another program was developed in form of psychoeducation on PD and various symptoms, coupled with mindfulness exercises. The first study intended to adapt the GMT program to PD-MCI population. With a multi baseline case study in a first patient, safety and acceptability were verified on several parameters (fatigue, psychological and behavioral symptoms, changes in medication or dosage and caregiver burden). The results show that GMT is safe and acceptable. In addition, it improves concerns about executive functions. The second study assessed the effects of the two programs (executive functions, quality of life, overall cognition) with a randomized - control study. Six patients received the adapted GMT, and six others received the combination of psychoeducation and mindfulness. The programs were administered at the home of each participant in the presence of the caregiver, in five sessions of 60-75 minutes, over five weeks. Various follow-up measures were taken at one, four and 12 weeks after the end of the intervention. The results show that both programs improved concerns about executive functions. They also reduced the number of errors made in an executive functions task, with a non-significant trend towards greater improvement in the GMT group. After four weeks, the group combining psychoeducation and mindfulness saw an improvement in quality of life, whereas scores of the GMT group were maintained. This study shows the interest of non-pharmacological approaches. Each program has its advantages and limitations depending on the profile of each participant. The third study aimed to include caregiver's data. During the second study, the caregivers of each participant answered questionnaires on the feelings of burden and distress. First, all data from the baseline, before randomization and interventions, were combined. The associations between clinical variables and variables in caregivers were assessed with a correlation matrix. Secondly, the effects of the two interventions were specifically evaluated on caregiver's measures. The results show there was no deterioration in feelings of burden and distress among caregivers for any of the groups, even if they had to invest time during the interventions. This study showed the importance of involving caregivers in the therapeutic process of PD-MCI patients. This thesis has shown the potential of two non-pharmacological approaches to improve concerns of patients with cognitive disorders. The three studies show limits, as well as strengths. Different theoretical and clinical recommendations regarding the intervention in people with PD-MCI can be considered.

Повний текст джерелаThe aim of the present study was to assess a pultidisciplinary program in obese children. CEMHaVi (control, evaluation and Modification of Lifestyles), is a unique two years health-wellness program of physical activity and health education for obese youth. The first step of the preliminary work has been to show the equivalence and agreement of physical activity output data collected by the RT3 accelerometer during walking and running between treadmill vs. On-land. Once we had shown that data obtained on a treadmill were similar to those obtained on-land, we could, in one second step, to determine and validate on treadmill, the RT3 thresholds to detect various levels of physical activity : sedentary, light, moderate and vigorous. 37 children and adolescents participated in our follow up (37 were followed one year, and 7 on 2 years). The multidisciplinary program of exercice and health education in obese children and adolescents reduced BMI and improved academic performance, self esteem, self evaluation of academic performance, and the physical activity habitus. In addition quality of sleep were improved, achieving recommendations for duration of sleep to minimize health problems associated with sleep disorders. These results remained stable during the evaluation of the second year. This work of thesis shows that the follow up in obesity childhood with a multidisciplinary program (physical activity adapted and health education) enabled to develop a health habitus in obese youth

Повний текст джерелаThe research developed in this work focuses on the analysis of the evolution and change in lithic technology in the societies of hunter-gatherers in the Argentine Puna from the sites of the Susques locality, Jujuy. The Puna is an altitude desert (above 3000 masl). The hunter-gatherer period in Puna is between 11,000 and 3,500 years BP. This implies a chronological sequence that extends from the first settlement to the domestication of camelids. ln this context, the evolution of technical systems could then be dynamic during this period. The analysis of technical change is based here on the study of operative chains and technical systems. So we will use a technological approach, and thus the recovery of lithic reduction sequences can situate each object in his technical context and provides a methodological framework for interpretation at several levels of analysis. By studying the evolution of technology in two ways - one slow due to the continuous development and intrinsic techniques, other fast, due to abrupt changes and external contingencies - , we can highlight fast changes and the role of societies and their environment in this evolution. We see a number of innovations occurring throughout the sequence, whose nature is different, some are related to the first degree of the facts, and other are linked to the last degrees. We conclude that such development could occur through the development of stable societies

Повний текст джерелаBacterial resistance to antibiotics is a worldwide public health issue which is mainly linked to antibiotic misuse (overconsumption and inappropriate prescription).To fight this threat, recommendations from learned societies and national action plans have been set up. Even if they are necessary, they are not sufficient to provide a significant improvement in the antibiotic use. A high rate of non-compliance with the recommendations is observed among healthcare facilities (HCFs). The setting up of proactive antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASP) among every HCF is essential to improve antibiotic use: an action on prescribers’ behavior is necessary, by using various strategies. These strategies, however persuasive or restrictive, have been shown to be effective, with no clinical negative effects for the patients (no increase in mortality and in length of stay), while reducing anti-infective costs.With this work, we aimed to study the appropriateness of antibiotic use in hospitals, at different HCFs levels (local hospital, university hospital, 259 French HCFs cohort), by assessing the impact of national recommendations or local ASP and guidelines. These studies showed that national recommendations could lead to a reduction in carbapenem consumptions, and that an ASP conducted in a local hospital could be very effective to reduce fluoroquinolones consumptions, and bacterial resistance at a longer term. Targeted audits on aminoglycosides prescription and on surgical antibioprophylaxis have permitted to highlight recurrent non-compliances, guiding improvement measures to set up.In conclusion, this work supports the weight of ASPs among each HCF, whatever type and size. Indeed, these ASPs, set up in support of the national recommendations, have demonstrated their effectiveness in reducing antibiotic consumptions and improving prescription appropriateness, by their positive impact on prescribers’ behaviors

It focuses on the development of sub-skills of oral expression in French by virtue of assumption that there are links between thinking and speaking, and that it is possible to develop the sub-skills of oral expression using the thinking program (known as "thinking curriculum" TC). To do this, our study will focus on two studies: a theoretical study to understand these linkages, namely the difference between a language and reflection on language, and study the thinking program and its role in the development of language skills. Another study will be conducted, it is a field study that aims to develop teaching units based on the TC and to elaborate a test of oral expression to conduct an experimental study and prove the hypothesis of the research. This field study will be conducted on students of foreign origin in a reception class (a class welcoming to foreign born learners) in the Paris suburbs

Unlike traditional health care payment schemes that focus on volume, It rewards providers (individuals or institutions) who meet certain performance expectations with respect to health care quality or efficiency. Internationally, P4P has experienced wide development over the last decade, though empirical evidences are mixed. In September 2012, the French government launched its first national P4P program for hospitals, named Financial Incentives for Quality Improvement (IFAQ). COMPAQH-MOS has developed the principles of this experiment.The aim of this thesis is to test and to analyse the existing P4P controversies, through the design, implementation and evaluation of IFAQ. Based on previous international programs, a new P4P initiative is designed under the actual French health care context. The implementation process of IFAQ involves selection of quality judgement criteria, construction of scoring method, and decision of financial incentive structures. The impact evaluation of IFAQ is conducted by comparing the treatment and control hospitals’ quality results, while taking into account time trend evolution of quality indicators and the effect from a group of hospital characteristics.A framework of cost-effectiveness analysis on P4P programs has also been constructed, and the feasibility of transferring P4P into another context, namely China, has been studied by conducting a case study of P4P in the Chinese health care market

This more or less new concept of teaching French as a foreign language is defined as being a field of French for Specific Purposes (FSP), and aims to enabling students to pursue their studies in francophone countries.In this thesis, we look into the case of Physical Education students at the University of Balamand. We examine the contributions and limitations of the French teaching program implemented to help these students enhance their language skills, and we conduct a reflection on the possibilities of improving this program in order to help them succeed in their projects and studies. Our work is divided into four interrelated and complementary axes. In the first one, we take a closer look at the linguistic profile of physical education students. The second axis has an epistemological scope and aims to analyze the University’s french curriculum and programs in order to reveal their strengths as well as the flaws that make them inefficient. The third axis analyses the students’ language needs through a descriptive study of the communication situations they encounter within university, and of the physical education discourse. The last area that is rather praxeological offers a reconstruction of french teaching programs by means of a competency framework that embraces the specificities of the target audience, and meets it functional needs

Повний текст джерелаGiven the important consequences of caregiving on the overall health and wellbeing of informal caregivers, the WHO strongly recommends interventions for them. Although Internet-based programs represent a promising tool for overburdened caregivers, little research has been conducted about their design and efficacy. The purpose of this PhD dissertation was to contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the development, evaluation, and implementation process of these programs. For this purpose, we involved forty-nine participants (12 healthcare professionals, 6 caregivers, and 31 healthy older-adults) in the iterative user-centered design process for the development of the Diapason program. The latest version of this program was evaluated in a randomized clinical trial, based on mixed methods research. Forty-nine informal caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease were randomly assigned to the experimental (n=25) or control group (n=24). Although the results were non conclusive about the program's efficacy, the experimental group significantly improved their knowledge of the disease (p=0.008 d=0.79). Furthermore the qualitative analysis showed that children of patients were more positive than female spouses caregivers about the usefulness of the program. The findings of this research offer promising perspectives for this kind of interventions, particularly when individualized and centered on the needs of caregivers. This work allows for the understanding and analysis of specific methodological features to develop and evaluate caregivers' interventions

Resumo: O presente trabalho visa o desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta computacional confiável na análise e estimação dos níveis de tensões induzidas em linhas de distribuição. Neste contexto, utilizam-se ferramentas computacionais consolidadas, como o ATP (Alternative Transients Program), que combinado a um software desenvolvido em Visual Basic, permitem quantificar e avaliar o nível de sobretensões nas linhas de distribuição. Por meio de modificações nas técnicas clássicas de modelagem das descargas atmosféricas, foi possível a construção de um software em Visual Basic capaz de quantificar os valores das tensões induzidas em linhas de distribuição finitas. A avaliação dos níveis de sobretensões induzidas nas mesmas foi implementada pela associação deste software a um programa de simulação (ATP), a fim de se obter resultados fidedignos deste transitório. Abstract: The present work aims at the development of a trustworthy computacional tool in the analysis and estimate of the levels of induced overvoltage in distribution network. In this context, consolidated computacional tools are used, as ATP (Alternative Transients Program), that combined with a software developed in Visual Basic (beginner's all-purpose symbolic instruction code), they allow to quantify and to evaluate the level of overvoltage in the distribution network. Повний текст джерелаThe thesis aims at describing conditions to improve mass selection on growth by sib-selection on quality traits assisted by DNA parentage assignment in rainbow trout. Main results are that the control and management of differences in egg size between dams doubles heritability of body weight at 70 g (0.36 vs 0.16), heritabilities of quality traits are intermediates (0.37-0.54), the opportunity to use the residual of the body part (e.g. fillet weight) regressed to the whole body weight to select independently of body weight for ratios, the higher efficiency to replace fillet yield by deheaded and gutted carcass weight more heritable and highly genetically correlated to fillet yield (0.97), the possibility to use e8/e23ultrasound measures to predict genetically yields (0.72-0.85) allowing a direct selection on breeding candidates more efficient than in using sib information, a surprising intermediate to high accuracy of EBV even with a very low mean number of sib per full-sib family (3.5-4) and the medium to high overestimation of EBV when using pre- selected sibs (14 % to 62 %). The general conclusion are that sib-selection on quality traits can be introduced in mass selection with at least similar expected genetic gains than in traditional breeding design based on families reared initially separated
