This thesis deals with electricity, heat and cold production and describes ways of their simultaneous production – trigeneration. The main intention is to describe the ways of cooling the A1 building which is used by The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. There is a Vapor compression cycle, a One stage absorption cycle and a Two stage compression cycle designed for cooling A1 building. This thesis includes suggestion for suitable commercial units for the purpose of cooling and a comparison of their running costs. An economic analysis is also included. Another part of the thesis is the design of a one stage absorption cycle connected to cogeneration units placed in The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering campus. The condenser of this cycle is also designed.

Thanks to used joined 1D and 2D model were made hydraulic calculations for peak water stages Q1, Q5, Q20 a Q100. The outputs of hydraulic calculations were used afterwards for creation of maps of flood danger and drawing documentation of flood protection measures.

This thesis is concerned with the calculation of the power turbine. This turbine should be used in the automatic drive of the compressor used for compression of natural gas in compressor stations. Flight engine aeroderivate from the Rolls-Roye company, type RB211-22B, was used as gas generator. The main aim of the thesis is to summarize of the base atributes of the combustion turbines and aeroderivates. They are used for automatic engine, application a thermodynamic calculation of the power turbine, for reaction stage and basic strength calculations.

Progressing hedging algoritmus zahrnuje také metodu přiřazování scénářů a modifikaci obecného algoritmu na dvou stupňové úlohy. Detailed structural design report was done to one of them, streithening with post-tensioning. Calculation of load effect was solved with finite elemet method via software on grillage model. The main objective was to create a normative model of determining the value of early stage for companies in the seed and start up stage. The model should be applicable to entrepreneurs and investors, taking into account the assessment of the value of qualitative factors. Another aim was to identify the significant factors affecting the value of early stage companies in the seed and start up stage, i.e. at a time when there are no or very little revenues. Based on a research among investors and other experts on the valuation of early stage companies and venture capital, the most significant factors were not only identified, but also determined by their weight. The quality of evaluating investment opportunities has a major impact on the profitability of the investor´s capital. Current knowledge of the key value drivers and the mechanisms of valuation can help businesses to set realistic expectations when trying to raise capital to finance the startup of the project. It is therefore necessary to provide a clear methodological framework applicable to both parties of investing. The actual research was divided into two phases - individual interviews with investors and questionnaires. It was confirmed that the most crucial factors are those associated with quality management and company founders.

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using the optimization modelling software system GAMS in risk management. According to the assignment, emphasis is placed on a detailed approach to the program for those, who are interested in its use in the field of risk engineering applications. The first part of the thesis contains the knowledge to understand what the GAMS program is and what it is used for. The next part of the work provides instructions on how to download, install, activate the program and what the user interface of the program looks like. Thanks to mathematical programming, it will be explained on a project on the distribution of lung ventilators, what basic approaches may be used in risk modelling in the GAMS program on a deterministic model. The following are more complex wait-and-see models, which contains the probability parameters and here-and-now models, where we work with demand scenarios and verify whether if they meets the requirements of other scenarios or calculate costs for the highest demands. The two-stage model is also one of the here-and-now models, but it is significantly more complex in its size and range of input data, it includes additional price parameters for added or removed pieces of lung ventilators from the order.

Two-stage stochastic programming problem with PDE constraint, specially elliptic equation is formulated. The computational scheme is proposed, whereas the emphasis is put on approximation techniques. We introduce method of approximation of random variables of stochastic problem and utilize suitable numerical methods, finite difference method first, then finite element method. There is also formulated a mathematical programming problem describing a membrane deflection with random load. It is followed by determination of the acceptableness of using stochastic optimization rather than deterministic problem and assess the quality of approximations based on Monte Carlo simulation method and the theory of interval estimates. The resulting mathematical models are implemented and solved in the general algebraic modeling system GAMS. Graphical and numerical results are presented.

The design of the new stage of the Slovene National Theatre in Ljubljana adheres to, among other things, the motto of the “TACE” (Theatre Architecture in Central Europe) project, i.e. a search of forms and types of buildings for the "New Theatre for the 21st Century". Therefore, I confront three topics: 1/ the conventional binocular conception for the drama chorus of the National Theatre, 2/ the unconventional solution of the "TACE" and 3/ the urban conception of the location, the so-called "Southern Square", designed by Josip Plečnik. Ad1/ The serious and classical feeling of the conventional form of the theatre hall is required, for this is the National Theatre. Slovenia, as a relatively young state, strives to build and strengthen its historical and national existence; therefore, the classical conception should be preferred because most plays dealing with the national identity are written for this type of theatre. Unlike the unconventional type of “performance” theatres that tend to present international rather than national art. Ad 2/ The search for spatial forms of unconventional and interactive staging of traditional types, such as ballet, opera, musical or drama as well as new forms such as “performance” resulted in a clear conclusion - “black box”. The ideal theatre of the future is infinitely multifunctional neutral space equipped with technologies that enable using the area for virtually any purpose. The principle comes very close to that of film studios, yet equipped with theatrical and other technologies. Ad 3/ A controversial location in the centre of Ljubljana, which has been waiting for an urban conception since the 1930s. It is situated at the end of Plečnik’s “Ljubljana diameter”, with the obelisk in the French Revolution Square as the opposite pole. The unfinished axis obelisk-square-theatre is quite apparent. The location features a clearance and an inner block with a poor urban development; yet it also features the so-called Knafijev prehod, a socially well functional part. The building is divided into 2 functional units - the theatre with its halls, lounge, gallery and cafe, and a commercial passage with the theatre’s administration. The facade of the theatre is a composite of several elements: From left, a decoration consisting of a ruptured pillar with a statue of an actor with a background of the fly, as we move to the right, a “curtain” going down in a curve from a glass “heaven” of the theatre’s hall towering over the passage, out of which rises the solid pylon of the gallery made of half-transparent material LitraConTM. This composition shifts the axis of the lounge beyond the axis of the park to the axis of the diameter and makes thus room for service access. The theatre’s area with the passage beneath is linked by a number of newels which can spin and thus close and in this way enable changing the mode of the passage from a lounge to a public area. The conception of the theatre's area combines sections 1/ and 2/ mentioned above. It consists of the classical stage with a trap cellar, portal and fly, which can be used a classical opera-glasses theatre for as many as 800 persons in the audience and/or, if the iron curtain is closed, as a small scene with approximately 100 seats. The remaining area functions as experimental and consists of a revolving auditorium and 4 stages whose back walls feature panorama windows.

This study addresses the design of a new cultural center in the Moravian Square – a polyfunctional object with a great concert hall, a small multifunctional hall with operating and technical facilities, parking, customer services for visitors, and areas for employees and musicians. Also, a restaurant & cafe is a part of this proposed project. New space replaces the unsatisfactory conditions of the current residence of Brno Filharmony in Besední dům – too small, unsatisfactory acoustics, and complicated operation. The cultural center, also, serves as a congress center that is currently missing in Brno - a city of trade fairs and exhibitions. The proposition respects the existing character of the park. The capacity of the new proposed design is from three-quarters underground, and therefore makes a way (nebo „space“) for greenery and pedestrians. The designed object consists of one ground and two underground levels. It has a simple shape with a greenery roof, and is incorporated into the existing spaces of the square. The distinctive element of the design is an open outside atrium in the first underground level. The facase is covered with boards (nebo „panels“) made out of Corian® material in a white shade of Glacier White in contrast to glass windows. The supporting construction is designed from monolithic iron concrete.

The present study examined the stage of weathering of the surface coverage for the geomorphologic surface V, located in Clevelândia (PR) in the field of the Araucária Plateau. To this end, we analyzed the characteristics of the physical and chemical properties of materials in the profile; was determined from the free, total, and the crystalline iron and the total chemical ten (10) major oxides by X-ray fluorescence finally, there is the micro morphology organization of materials. The weathering profile presented more than 710 cm of exposed material, with gradual transition horizons: A (0-20 cm), AB (20-60cm), BA (60-110 cm), Bw1 (110-210 cm), Bw2 (210-350 cm), BC (350-470 cm) and CB (470- 540 cm) and C (540 - 710+ cm). The characterization of physical and chemical attributes of the weathering profile showed native soil cover, with features Oxisols red with acric character. The mineralogical analysis of the material indicated weathering stage characterized by partial hydrolysis environment, the monossialitization type. Associating soil and geochemical characteristics, one realizes that it is weathering profile whose evolutionary process is to ferruginization. The results confirm the hypothesis that the surface V was prepared by the action of etchplanation from the lowering of the substrate by isovolumetric loss generating planing.
O presente trabalho verificou o estágio de intemperismo da cobertura superficial para a superfície geomorfológica V, localizado em Clevelândia (PR), no domínio do Planalto das Araucárias. Para tal, analisou-se as características dos atributos físicos e químicos dos materiais no perfil; determinou-se o ferro livre, total e amorfo e a química total dos dez (10) principais óxidos por fluorescência de raios-X e, por fim, verificou-se a organização micromorfológica dos materiais. O perfil de intemperismo apresentou mais de 710 cm de material exposto, com transição gradual de horizontes: A (0 20 cm), AB (20- 60 cm), BA (60 110 cm), Bw1 (110 - 210 cm), Bw2 (210 350 cm), BC (350 470 cm), CB (470- 540 cm) e C (540 710+ cm). A caracterização dos atributos físicos e químicos do perfil de intemperismo mostrou cobertura pedológica autóctone, com características de Latossolo Vermelho Distroférrico com caráter ácrico. A análise mineralógica dos materiais indica estágio de intemperismo avançado, caracterizado pelo ambiente de hidrólise parcial, do tipo monossialitização. Associando caraterísticas pedológicas e geoquímicas, percebe-se que se trata de perfil de intemperismo cujo processo evolutivo é o de ferruginização. Os resultados confirmam a hipótese de que a superfície V foi elaborada pela ação da etchplanação, a partir do rebaixamento do substrato por perda isovolumétrica gerando o aplainamento.

The master’s thesis focuses on the optimization models in logistics with emphasis on the network interdiction problem. The brief introduction is followed by two overview chapters - graph theory and mathematical programming. Important definitions strongly related to network interdiction problems are introduced in the chapter named Basic concepts of graph theory. Necessary theorems used for solving problems are following the definitions. Next chapter named Introduction to mathematical programming firstly contains concepts from linear programming. Definitions and theorems are chosen with respect to the following maximum flow problem and the derived dual problem. Concepts of stochastic optimization follow. In the fifth chapter, we discuss deterministic models of the network interdiction. Stochastic models of the network interdiction follow in the next chapter. All models are implemented in programmes written in the programming language GAMS, the codes are attached.

This diploma thesis is mainly focused on the digestate thickening in a biogas plant. First, overview of the biogas technology in the Czech Republic is presented. Furthermore, problems with waste heat utilization and processing of fermentation residues (digestate) are described in more detail. Based on the research, multi-stage flash (MSF) evaporation was chosen as the technology for the digestate thickening. The main part deals with the integration of the chosen technology into a biogas plant process. The programming language Python was used to simplify the given task. In the preliminary stage, a complex mathematical model of a biogas plant was created, focusing particularly on the mass and energy balances. Subsequently, a computational model of the MSF evaporator was programmed. A procedure for the integration was suggested using the sensitivity analyses. Additionally, the model of a biogas plant was extended with the MSF evaporator. The key outcome of the thesis is a technical-economic analysis in which the impact of digestate transport price and electricity feed-in tariff on payback period is investigated. The results suggest profitability of MSF evaporator for biogas plants without subsidized feed-in tariff. Contrastingly, installation of MSF evaporator in older biogas plants with subsidized feed-in tariff can be economically viable only in cases of significantly longer transport distances.

The first part focuses on theory of consumer behavior followed by marketing of services with an emphasis on tourism. Next part covers buyer decision process of consumers in travel industry based on results from analysis of a questionnaire. These results are integrated with agency data. A summary of acquired results is compared to all phases of buyer decision process at the end of this thesis.

Music education in Lithuanian general schools has been studied in all different aspects. Still, the works that reveal all panoramic musical skills are missed. For this purpose, the research on the curriculum in 5 - 6 forms was carried out. Subject of investigation: fulfilment of the curriculum and its realization for 5th – 6th formers of general schools. Hypothesis: It is thougth that the level of students‘ knowledge and skills is not high enough and music material is memorized insufficiently. Aim of investigation: to study the possibilities of the fulfilment of the curriculum for 5th - 6th formers. Tasks of investigation: to study scientific, pedagogical, psychological, and methodical literature about musical education; to prepare the instrument of the fulfilment of the curriculum; to ascertain the level of students‘ abilities in a lesson; to carry out an experiment; to present conclusions and recomendations. pesquisa propõe uma reflexão sobre o grotesco como operador e mediador fundamental da cena teatral, visando ao encontro de uma \"arquitetura\" do grotesco nas imagens do corpo do ator. A análise parte da observação de duas experiências poético-estéticas distintas no tempo e no espaço, que parecem exemplares no tocante à discussão sobre o grotesco e ao trabalho de composição cênica através da dança: o Butô de Tatsumi Hijikata (1929-1986) e parte da produção teórica e artística (das décadas de 1910 e de 1930, respectivamente) do encenador russo V. E. Meyerhold (1875-1940). A transposição das questões observadas sobre o tema do grotesco para o âmbito da criação e construção da cena, nas duas experiências artísticas abordadas, foi orientada por uma pergunta-chave: Pode a dança ser uma espécie de arquitetura corporal do grotesco cênico, ou seja, através das imagens do corpo que dança, podemos observar a operação grotesca na encenação?This research presents a reflection about the grotesque as an operator and a vital intercessor of the dramatic scene, aiming at a grotesque \'architecture\' in the images of the actor\'s body. The analysis is based in two poetic-esthetic experiences distinguished on time and in space, that appear to be examples concerning the discussion about the grotesque and the labor of the stage composition through the dance: the Butoh of Tatsumi Hijikata (1929-1986) and the theoretical and artistic production (particularly in the decade of 1910 and 1930) of the russian V. This thesis describes what the theatre is and what types of machinery can be found there. Then the issue of stage technical machinery is presented into the czech context, respectively into the Europian legislation with the emphasis on the technical norms usage, which are necessary to fulfil in order to reach this aim. In the next part of the thesis is made the analysis of control systems, which are used in the stage technics with the emphasis on the functionality of these control systems, since this functionality determines number and range of possible danger and dangerous events, later on. These dangerous situations are named and specified in detail, thereby their existence, importance and necessity of solution is being emphasized. There is also a possible solution outlined that these dangerous events can be solved in many cases by using of these programmable systems relating to the safety, thereby safety functions realized by these functions. Then the single steps are described into V-model with appropriate documents of these V-model steps. Outcome of this thesis will be suggested model of method and its development and software validation for programmable and control systems in theatre technology.

Optimalizace toku v síti je klasickou aplikací matematického programování. Tyto modely mají, mimo jiné, široké uplatnění také v logistice, kde se tak snažíme docílit optimálního rozdělení dopravy, např. vzhledem k maximalizaci zisku, či minimalizaci nákladů. Toto pojetí ovšem často problém idealizuje, poněvadž předpokládá existenci jediného rozhodovatele. Takový přístup je možný ve striktně organizovaných sítích jako např. v logistických sítích přepravních společností, železničních sítích či armádním zásobování. Úloha ''Traffic Assignment Problem'' (TAP) se zaměřuje na dopady teorie her na optimalizaci toku, tj. zkoumá vliv více rozhodovatelů na celkové využití sítě. V práci se zaobíráme úlohou TAP s působením náhodných vlivů, k čemuž využíváme metod stochastické a vícestupňové optimalizace. Dále zkoumáme možnosti zlepšení stávajícího využití sítě za rozhodnutí autoritativního rozhodovatele, kterému je umožněn zásah do samotné struktury sítě, k čemuž využíváme víceúrovňové programování.

Distance Education is a mode of delivering education that allows new opportunities of access to higher and continuing education. In this context, the supervised curricular stage requires the compulsory presence, according to the legislation. This research presents a methodological proposal based on George Kelly's Theory of Personal Constructs, whose objective is to analyse the contributions of the experience of the Supervised Curricular Stage V, organised and based on Kelly's Experience Cycle (KEC), towards the construction of a reflexive teacher's practice, as well as to relate the conceptions of managers and classroom teachers of stage field schools, about aspects that favor and/or difficult the performance of the graduate students in the school. Participated in the study a representative of the Executive Secretary of Education, six school principals and six classroom teachers from stage field schools, who took part in the first phase. Besides these, nineteen licentiate students from the course of Licentiate in Physics from UFRPE/UAB also participated in the second phase. The methodology used was organised as a KEC, which has five phases, allied to the work of Cooperative Group. The analysis of the results showed the need for integration between the institutions involved in the formation process of the future teacher. The reflective process started by the KEC enabled the evolution of conceptions of licentiate students/trainees, contributing to their learning.
A Educação a Distância (EAD) apresenta-se como uma modalidade de educação que proporciona novas oportunidades de acesso a cursos superiores e formação continuada. Nesse contexto, o Estágio Curricular Supervisionado precisa da obrigatoriedade de momentos presenciais, de acordo com a legislação. Esta pesquisa apresenta uma proposta metodológica, baseada na Teoria dos Construtos Pessoais de George Kelly, que tem como objetivo analisar as contribuições da vivência do Estágio Curricular Supervisionado V, organizado com base no Ciclo da Experiência Kellyana (CEK), para a construção de uma prática docente reflexiva, assim como relacionar as concepções de gestores e professores regentes de escolas campo de estágio, acerca de aspectos que favorecem e/ou dificultam a atuação do licenciando/estagiário na escola. Participaram do estudo um representante da Secretaria Executiva de Educação, seis diretores de escolas e seis professores regentes de escolas campo de estágio, que fizeram parte da primeira etapa. Além desses, dezenove licenciandos do curso de Licenciatura em Física da UFRPE/UAB também participaram na segunda etapa. A metodologia utilizada foi organizada como um CEK, que possui cinco fases, aliado ao trabalho de Grupo Cooperativo. A análise dos resultados revelou a necessidade da integração entre as instituições envolvidas no processo de formação do futuro professor. O processo reflexivo desencadeado pelo CEK possibilitou a evolução das concepções dos licenciandos/estagiários, contribuindo para sua aprendizagem.

Testability is crucial in today’s complex industrial system on chips (SoCs), where sensitive on-chip analog voltages need to be measured. In such cases, an operational amplifier (opamp) is required to sufficiently buffer the signals before they can drive the chip pad and probe parasitics. A single-stage opamp offers an attractive choice since it is power efficient and eliminates the need for frequency compensation. However, it has to satisfy demanding specifications on its stability, input common mode range, output swing, settling time, closed-loop gain and offset voltage. In this work, the settling time performance of a conventional folded-cascode (FC) opamp is substantially improved. Settling time of an opamp consists of two major components, namely the slewing period and the linear settling period. In order to reduce the settling time significantly without incurring excessive area and power penalty, a prudent circuit implementation that minimizes both these constituents is essential. In this work, three different slew rate enhancement (SRE) circuits have been evaluated through extensive simulations. The SRE candidate providing robust slew rate improvement was combined with a current recycling folded cascode structure, resulting in lower slewing and linear settling time periods. Exhaustive simulations on a FC cascode amplifier with complementary inputs illustrate the effectiveness of these techniques in settling time reduction over all envisaged operating conditions.

The master thesis focuses on the new Act no. 234/2014 Coll., of State Service, which introduces a new law regulation of labour relations of employees in the state administration. Service Act has been frequently a discussing theme in recent years, especially in connection with a threat from the European Commission which by accepting this law conditioned a drawing of European grants from structural funds for the period 2014 - 2020. This dissertation analyses the issue of the state service, here are an outlined principles of the state service in selected European countries and the historical development of the state service in the Czech Republic. The goal was to highlight the possible problematic provisions which appear in the law, and the problems that have shown up during the implementation of this law, even the example of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic.

The upcoming European Stage V emissions regulation for Non-Road Heavy Duty Diesel Engines will force OEMs to adopt Diesel Particulate Filters, adding a further degree of complexity to the aftertreatment system, which in several cases already includes specific devices for NOx reduction. Since complex aftertreatment systems can rise packaging problems as well as reliability issues, a project in collaboration with Kohler, Politecnico di Torino, Ricardo and Denso, has been carried out to explore the feasibility of a Stage V compliant SCR-free architecture for a 90kW Non Road Diesel engine. To this scope a prototype engine based on the Kohler KDI3404, was equipped with a low-pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation system, a two-stage turbocharger and a 3000 bar injection pressure-capable Fuel Injection System.
This thesis focuses on the experimental and numerical assessment of emissions and performances of this engine architecture over the Stage V certification procedure. It will be shown how the high-pressure Fuel Injection System is the key technology to meet the stringent requirements, demonstrating how increasing the injection pressure from 2000 to 3000 bar can dramatically improve the NOx-Soot and NOx-Particulate Number trade-off, together with engine efficiency, without adversely affecting the emission of nanoparticles. Moreover, the use of extremely high injection pressures in conjunction with after injection as a soot reduction technique, was found to be capable of achieving up to 50% smoke reduction with a more than acceptable engine efficiency degradation.
Thanks to a dedicated steady state and transient calibration, the engine was able to run a compliant NRSC and NRTC with more than 10% margin on NOx and a level of particulate matter and particulate number which can be easily managed by the DOC+DPF aftertreatment system. However, some components of the tested engine, such as the turbochargers, were found to be far from the optimal, thus resulting into relatively poor efficiency figures.
Therefore, a 1D-CFD model featuring predictive combustion and emissions models was developed in order to assess the full potentials of this architecture on a kind of “virtual test rig”, on which different components could be easily evaluated.
The model results proved that, with a better design of the exhaust and EGR line, and with a slightly higher performance turbocharger, consistent engine efficiency improvements could be obtained, making the SCR-free solution as a valuable alternative to the SCR architecture to meet the Stage V emissions regulations.

The thesis is focused on the importance of employment policy and its application in the district of Pardubice. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with general problems in the specification of the labor market and unemployment. Concurrently, the thesis is concerned with the characteristics of employment policy in the Czech Republic and European Union. The thesis contributes through its complete overview of the formation and importance of employment policy, depending on the specific conditions of the regional labor market. The main goal of this thesis is to confirm or exclude the presumption, as to whether employment policy measures in the district of Pardubice are effective, in terms of reducing unemployment, maintaining a dynamic equilibrium in the labor market, and supporting the efficient use of labor. In the practical part of the thesis the basic characteristic of the district of Pardubice are discussed, followed by an analysis of the local labor market in the years 2006 - 2011. In the conclusion, the paper presents an evaluation of the development of employment, or rather unemployment, dependent on the implementation and expenditure of the active employment policy and how these polices could help to increase employment in this district.

Current methods of creating inlet total pressure distortion for testing in gas turbine engines are only able to simulate steady-state distortion patterns. With modern military aircraft it is becoming necessary to examine the effects of transient inlet distortion on engines. One alternative being evaluated is a splitting airfoil that is essentially a wedge that can be set at different opening angles. An array of such devices would be placed in front of the engine for testing that would be capable of creating steady-state distortion patterns as well as transient distortion patterns by changing the opening angle of the airfoils.
The work here analyzes the steady-state wake characteristics of some of the splitting airfoil concepts. Single-wedge tests were conducted with various opening angles in an attempt to classify the various aspects found in the wake pattern. It was found that the wake has completely different characteristics with larger opening angles. In addition, several different combinations of wedges were also examined to see if single wedge analysis could be applied to arrays of wedges. Analysis was done on combinations of wedges aligned vertically as well as combinations that were done horizontally. Photoluminescence coupled with repetitive thermal annealing has been used to study the thermal interdiffusion processes in both InGaAs and GaAsSb grown on GaAs substrates. The effect of growth temperature and group-V to group-III flux ratio were studied in InGaAs MQW wafers. The wells in the MQW stack were grown at different temperatures, one of which was grown well below the standard growth temperature to act as a vacancy source in the MQW stack. Due to this vacancy source we have been able to simultaneously measure the In-Ga interdiffusion coefficient, diffusion coefficient for group-III vacancies in GaAs, and the background concentration of these vacancies. It was shown that the interdiffusion at all temperatures is governed by a constant background concentration of vacancies in the material and that this background concentration is the concentration of vacancies in the substrate material. The measured background concentration of vacancies is about 1017 cm-3. This result showed that the vacancy concentrations in GaAs are not at thermal equilibrium concentrations as has been widely assumed. Rather it has been shown to have a value which is "frozen-in", probably at the GaAs crystal growth temperature. The activation energy found for intermixing of InGaAs/GaAs is shown to be governed solely by the activation term for vacancy diffusion which is calculated to have an activation energy of 3.4+/-0.3 eV. These results provide a mechanism to explain the reduced diffusion coefficient under the Ga rich conditions widely reported. The flux ratio was found not to play any significant role in the interdiffusion process. These results can be explained by the diffusion in all cases being governed by a single vacancy-controlled second-nearest-neighbour bopping mechanism. The interdiffusion process on the group-V sublattice in the GaAsSb material system was shown to obey Pick's second law with an activation energy of 2+/-0.3 eV. This result contradicts earlier reports of non-linear diffusion process in this system.

This dissertation offers a complex analysis of the state supported export credit market in the Czech Republic. For the most part of the work the author deals with credit insurance market as it represents a key part of the system. Author analyses portfolio specifics of the local export credit insurance agency and searches for the most effective risk mitigation techniques and procedures in order to maintain its long-term non-loss operations while keeping in mind its special supportive mission. Particular attention is given to the export credit insurance agency's business policy that copes with problems of information asymmetry, moral hazard and adverse selection. Author points out the differences between state supported and commercial insurers, analyses European legislation preventing export credit agencies from competition with commercial insurers and outlines more effective endogenous and self-regulating system. Minority of the work deals with less important export credit financing agency that represents a dominant player at the export credit financing market. Author finds almost twenty reasons of its extraordinary position at the market that has no analogy within developed countries worldwide and outlines a system securing its complement role to the commercial banks. Finally the author provides the analysis of the whole state supported export credit system, highlights its main risks in conjunction with each other and concludes that combination of negative circumstances influencing several important features of the system could possibly lead to a long-term instability of the system.

With the birth of “virtual worlds,” created a new space for social norms to evolve and change within a subset community. This thesis focuses on toxicity within the virtual world of EA DICE’s Battlefield V title. The goal of this research is to understand toxicity on a micro scale inside the world of Battlefield V from a gaming anthropological perspective. Along with understanding what toxicity looked like within the virtual world ofBattlefield V, the thesis obtained data for how the community and EA DICE employees perceived toxicity. This research has components of interviews with these members of the communities/staff as well as a netnography of the virtual world of Battlefield V gameplay. Findings and analysis were categorized under the themes of toxic language, power/freedom, virtual world creation, and gender toxicity. Battlefield V toxicity is ever evolving and shaped by player techne (player actions). Player chat consumes the majority of toxicity and therefore diving into toxic language was vital. Understanding the player perspective of power and freedom while gaming was just the first step as the thesis also dove into the developer’s perspective and analyzed the interviews with the backbone of Malaby’s (2009) contingency concepts to see how the developers have a large role to play when it comes to toxicity in games, even if they may not realize it. Just as in the “real world” the virtual world of Battlefield V also had a major theme of gender discrimination winessed and discussed via both community members and staff members of EA DICE. Overall, the goal of this research was not to find out if toxicity was “good” or “bad” but to simply shed more light on the complex topic within virtual worlds and open up research for other anthropologists to do further research on the topic.

Room temperature photoreflectance (PR) is shown to be influenced by optical interference between Si/SiGe/Si layers. The PR changes with wafer position due to a variation of Si cap thickness. By comparing the phase found from experiment with the theoretical phase calculated from the Seraphin coefficients, the thickness of the Si cap layer is determined across the wafer. Energies of the SiGe E1 and E1+ Delta1 critical point transitions found from room temperature PR measurements of thin strained SiGe layers are greater than expected. It is known that the SiGe interfaces are graded in composition, but this does not fully explain the energies found from the PR. Therefore, a simple square quantum well model is compared with experiment. It is likely that both composition grading and quantum confinement contribute to the energy shifts. Franz-Keldysh oscillations (FKO) are observed in room temperature PR spectra of InGaAsP and InP layers. Electro-modulation theory has been developed to fit the FKO. It is found that the InGaAsP spectra are best fitted when considering light and heavy holes. This is applied to the FKO from the InP layers, and a good match between experiment and theory is achieved. Energy transitions between electron and hole confined states in strained InGaAs quantum wells have been measured using room temperature PR and photoluminescence. The transition energies found from the PR have been compared with a theoretical quantum well model, and the band offsets found from the comparison. The agreement between experiment and theory is good for tensile strained InGaAs/InGaAsP quantum wells, and the band offset appeal's to vary little with tensile strain. A low energy feature in the PR spectra of InGaAs/InP quantum wells with compressive and tensile strain is attributed to a Zn impurity state. Despite difficulties in matching experiment with theory, the band offsets are also found for these structures.

Získané teoretické výsledky jsou pak využity ve vybraných aplikacích, jež ke své činnosti využívají právě polarizace světla. Konkrétně se jedná o zařízení měřící vibrace oscilujících objektů, dále o interferenční měření dvojlomu v transparentních materiálech a konečně, o vybraná témata z optické kvantové komunikace.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to design a load-bearing structure of the botanical pavillion in Jihlava. The construction is designed as a variable structure of both steel and timber. Each solution has a different type of ribs. The layout is a hexadecagon with maximum dimension of 30 meters. The height of the building is considered to be 10 meters.
