Повний текст джерелаThe obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS) involves recurrent sleep-related upper airways (UA) collapse. UA mechanical properties and neural control are altered imposing a mechanical load on inspiration. UA collapse does not occur during wakefulness, hence arousal-dependent compensation. Three studies in healthy and apnoeic patients allowed characterizing it. From upper-airway pressure-flow relationships, the first study described local compensation mechanisms, before and after a neurovegetative modulation based on ptérygopalatin node compression. The second study showed a respiratory-related cortical activity that could contribute to the increased neural drive to upper airway and to inspiratory muscles that has previously been described in OSAS, and could therefore contribute to the arousal-dependent compensation of upper airway abnormalities. The third study showed a sensory gating-out process of breathing sensations in OSAS that could be reversed by mandibular advancement device, allowing linking upper-airway stability improvement to central integration of respiratory sensations. Finally, upper-airway pressure-flow relationship was approached by two models

Повний текст джерелаThe haemoglobin stability has been led through the action of agents capable of modifying it, that is to say either by denaturing agents (RX), and then we have studied the nature and the kinetics of the radiolysis products apparition, or by glutaraldehyde action which can work positively on the molecule by the polymerisation it realizes : we'll study with these cases the way polymerized haemoglobins properties and structure are modified. The intraglobular reduced Hb radiolysis leads to the formation of a ferric compound Hb02 which shows that apart from this last compound (denaturation ultimate state) deoxyhaemoglobin, methemoqlobin, hemi and haemachromes take form. Hb02 radio dissociation had never been observed since, until now, irradiation had been realized in aqueous solutions. Polymerisation stabilizes the globine and avoids haemachrome formation in limiting the globine movement. The polymerized haemoglobin forms Mössbauer spectra are explained by a charge transfer between iron and oxygen, and potential barrier diminution opposed to 02 rotation. The RPE spectra show that polymerisation introduces a diminution of the total distance (F8His)N-fe-NO with probably the iron leaving the heme plane. These structures modifications are correlated with those of haemoglobin function properties. They are compatible with the heme pocket opening as it is shown by the regeneration by polymerisation of methemoglobin denatured in hemichrome

Повний текст джерелаNowadays, protecting products during transportation has become essential as import-export increased drastically. Therefore, the wrapping used to stabilize and protect pallets of goods is fundamental. The most commonly used material for wrapping films is linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE). However, ecology has become a major issue for the world. The eco-design of the film is desired for a lower mass of plastic on the pallet, while preserving the stability of the load. Therefore this thesis work concerns the optimization of load stability according to the properties of the wrapping materials and the mechanical stresses of transport in order to reduce the weight of plastic used. Manual and mechanical films were analyzed. The anisotropy of materials was studied. The characterization of the material was performed through mechanical tests (traction, relaxation, hysteresis and fatigue creep) and morphological tests with DSC, IR and XRD analysis. The characterization of the wrapping and the importance of its parameters were also investigated. The effect of wrapping speed, LLDPE fatigue and acceleration experienced during transport were found to affect significantly the film properties. Films morphology was found to be affected by the wrapping process, showing changes in crystallinity. The study showed the importance of wrapping parameters and transport constraints on the morphology of the stretch film on the pallet and therefore on the stability of the load

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis proposes a study of the stability of the Charge-Pump Phase Locked Loop (CP-PLL). Performances of the transient response of this circuit explains its large use in industrial design. Although the CP-PLL is an hybrid circuit (discrete time part coexists with continuous time parts), signals are represented and analysed by linear models. As there is no others results, stability limits of these linear models are steel used in the industry. Non-linear models can be found in the literature, these models offer high precision results but no analysis tool involving these non-linear models has been proposed. Using hybrid formalism to rewrite non-linear models, we can apply new results on hybrid stability to achieve this first stability proof based on exact waveforms. A piece-wise non-linear model of the CP-PLL can be studied by linearising each non-linear vector field around the fixed point of interest. A theorem is proposed to deduce the local stability of the non-linear system from its linearisation. Stability test is expressed by linear matrix inequalities (LMI). Using the S-procedure to relax conditions in well-chosen region we reduce drastically the conservatism of the sufficient proof. By this way we propose a new stability condition which is less restrictive than linear systems ones. Experimental results tend to confirm this new stability frontier

Повний текст джерелаOne the main challenges of organic electronics is the fabrication of electronic circuits combining p-type and n-type organic field effect transistors which can be processed by liquid route and are stable in air. Even though many efficient p-type organic materials have been reported, the examples of n-type analogues are rare. The aim of this PhD research work was therefore to design, synthesize and characterize new soluble and electron-acceptor π-conjugated molecules and determine their ability to transport electrons in organic field effect transistors (OFETs) under air. In this aim, the aromatic core of a well-known stable pigment, the Triphenodioxazine (TPDO), was functionalized with solubilizing groups and electron-withdrawing functions to tune the solubility and to yield a higher electron affinity. The various structural modifications achieved provided a complete family of electro-deficient materials. The new compounds were characterized in liquid and solid state, and then integrated in OFETs. Most of them led to an efficient negative charge carrier transport. Hereafter of the rationalization of the results during synthesis, characterization of new materials and physical characterizations of devices, a tetracyano derivative has fulfilled the initial project specifications in terms of solubility, electron mobility and air stability of the performances

Повний текст джерелаThe main goal of this present work consists in the fabrication and optimization of N type organic field effect transistors. Bottom Gate Bottom Contact transistors are performed at low temperature T<120°C. Three different electro-deficient organic molecules are thermally evaporated and used as active layer. OTFTs based on LPP core molecule present low field effect mobility around 10-5cm2/V.s. The optimization study investigated on deposition parameters of this molecule on OTFTs performances does not allow improving this mobility. Moreover gate bias stress measurements reveal important instabilities related to this molecule. Indenfluorene derivatives core (IF) based OTFTs show better performances. Field effect mobility µFE=2.1x10-4 cm2/V is reached using IF(CN2)2 meta in optimized deposition conditions and µFE=1x10-2 cm2/V.s is obtained using IF(CN2)2 para after annealing treatment. The investigated gate bias stress study highlights the good electrical stability of IF(CN2)2 para based OTFTs. Temperature measurements allow us studying the charge transport phenomenon in these indenofluorene derivatives. Fabricated N-type OTFTs are used to perform a first electronic circuit that consists in a logic gate (invertor).Finally this low temperature process led us to achieve OTFTs devices on flexible substrates (PEN)

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis is devoted to the analysis of the instability phenomenon that may appear on the DC bus of DC microgrids. Indeed, interaction between the different electrical subsystems of the grid (source, load, filters) can lead, under certain conditions, to the system instability. From the "Constant Power Load" (CPL) hypothesis for the loads, this thesis presents studying methods for "small-signal" and "large-signal" stability analysis of electrical systems. This highlights that a DC microgrid cannot power the loads more than a maximum limit without becoming unstable. This power limitation depends on the structure of the grid, the value of its passive components, and its bus voltage. In order to improve the microgrid stability, stabilization methods are presented in this thesis. They propose to adapt the loads control to ensure the system stability. This is achieved by the addition of a stabilizing signal to the reference of each load. This signal is only visible during the load power transient mode to not change the requested operating point. However, a good trade-off must be found to ensure system stability without affecting the dynamic performance of its loads. Two approaches are investigated to generate the stabilizing commands. The first one is based on the establishment of a centralized stabilization block. Two centralized methods have been developed: the first one is based on the Takagi-Sugeno theory while the second is based on the Lyapunov theory. This latest permits to guide the stabilizing effort on the desired loads. For example, stabilizing effort can be oriented on the energy storage device. The second approach is based on the establishment of a multi-agent stabilizing system. It consists of a decentralized structure in which each agent corresponds to a stabilization block. These will locally compensate the destabilizing impact of their respective load on the microgrid, and their combined actions ensure the system stability. To design the system, the use of a constrained optimization algorithm is proposed. This permits to minimize stabilization efforts while considering faulty events such as the failure of one of the agents or a reconfiguration of the microgrid

Повний текст джерелаThe quality of life of parents of autistic children rest a subject being little worked on in research despite the loads of information that could be collected to adapt the interventions at its best on the needs of the children and their families. The aims of our study are evaluating the level of the quality of life that the parents of autistic children have and how it develops with the time. It’s an aim to observe if there are differences between mothers and fathers, and which characteristics of the child and its family can be associated with the parents quality of life and can be susceptible of being determinants. That’s why we have made a comparative study between 24 German and 24 French families and collected data in intervals of 2 to 12 month. Our results show that German children, which are taken care of more intense than French children have a better development in their communicative competences. In Germany and in France the mothers and fathers estimate that the pathology of their child has a medium impact with negative tendencies on their quality – constantly. The level of irritability of the child as well as the level of the quality of live of the marriage partner is strongly correlated to the quality of live of the parents, independent of T1 or T2

Повний текст джерелаIn recent years, organic photovoltaics (OPV) has undergone exponential growth thanks to the introduction of non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs), which has enabled power conversion efficiencies (PCE) greater than 18%. This technology offers very interesting features such as solution process, flexibility, semi-transparency and freedom of colors and shapes. However, in order to be produced on a large scale, the materials and manufacturing processes must meet certain specifications that are not often addressed in the laboratory setting. The materials must be compatible with industrial processes and therefore be resistant to environmental conditions. This work first aims to understand the intrinsic stability of polymers and NFAs such as those of the ITIC and Y family widely used in the OPV. Stability was correlated to molecular structure and crystallinity with the goal of identifying the most suitable materials for long-term operation. Regarding crystallinity and its relation to molecular properties, a second part of this work presents the optimization of a robust organic field effect transistor (OFET) structure for the determination of electron mobility in relation to temperature-induced molecular order, a correlation with different polymorphisms was established. A third part focuses on the characterization and optimization of new NFA molecules for the fabrication of OSCs using non-toxic solvents. Finally, we present the pathway followed to obtain an efficiency of more than 15% in our laboratory using stable and industrially relevant systems by a ternary approach

Повний текст джерелаThis subject becomes topical following a rapid evolution of design procedures for slender structures used widely in the temporary installations. Only through the last twenty years that these structures are prefabricated of multidirectional frames (steel or aluminium tubular sections). These structures are lightweight and their stability lies only in the internal stiffness at rows of posts and horizontally by the planking as well as the links with the building. This work concerns the study of instabilities (buckling - lateral torsional buckling) taking into account different types of imperfections. New buckling curves and the associated imperfection factors are proposed in this thesis. These curves are obtained by imposing an initial deformed representing the geometrical and mechanical defects (residual stress). The experimental results were confronted with theoretical predictions of Eurocode 3 which show that the values of the imperfections in the literature are extremely exaggerated. The values advocated in this work could be of interest for a possible adjustment of the European buckling curves for this type of structure. Regarding the lateral instability, an original methodology in real scale tests of trusses consist of tubular elements was also developed. The developed loading system of "free wheels" allows releasing the point of application of the force from the beginning of instability. This technique leads to more accurate measurements of the critical lateral torsional buckling moment

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis deals with switched PWM AC/DC power converters. The interest of this type of converters lies in their high power efficiency and their ability to operate in continuous conduction mode minimizing thus electromagnetic interferences, both conducted and radiated. The control objective is twofold: (i) output signal regulation (output voltage for resistive type load, speed for motor type load); (ii) ensuring a unit power factor (PFC) connection between the converter and the power supply net. The problem is dealt with developing a control strategy involving two regulators in cascade. The inner regulator is designed to make the current absorbed by the converter proportional to the supply net voltage. The reference signal of this regulator is also the control signal of the outer regulator which aims at regulating the system output (voltage or speed). Both regulators are obtained from the nonlinear model of the converter, using different control techniques. The resulting closed-loop system turns out to be nonlinear and time-varying. Using suitable stability and averaging tools, it is formally demonstrated that the control objectives are achieved in the mean with an error that depends on the supply net frequency. The larger the net frequency is the smaller the error.

However the main challenge of this technology concerns its stability as the perovskite solar cells are sensitive to temperature, humidity, illumination... Therefore there is a vital need for a better understanding of the degradation mechanisms and thereby the possible mitigation strategies.This thesis has focused on optimizing the stability of the perovskite and its charge transport layers. A thorough analysis of the perovskite (such as MAPbI3) and its interfaces was performed. In this study we have made the choice to only use efficient charge transport layers which are compatible with a low temperature deposition process, such as tin dioxide, aluminum doped zinc oxide, poly (3-hexylthiophene) and poly (triaryl amine). Several aging tests have been carried out on the perovskite solar cells, combining relevant characterizations, and various mechanisms affecting their stability could thus be highlighted

Повний текст джерелаDas grönländische Inlandeis (GIS) besteht aus einem Wasservolumen das ausreicht, um den globalen Meeresspiegel um 7 Meter ansteigen zu lassen. Es ist ein Relikt der vergangenen Eiszeit, das in einer zunehmend wärmer werdenden Welt stark in Mitleidenschaft gezogen werden könnte. In der vorliegenden Dissertation ist ein neues Verfahren zur Modellierung des Antwortverhaltens des Inlandeises auf Klimaänderungen entwickelt und angewendet worden. Die Vorteile des neuen Verfahrens im Vergleich zu den bisherigen Verfahren sind, (i) dass es über einen groen Bereich von Klimaszenarien (sowohl für die ferne Vergangenheit als auch für die Zukunft) anwendbar ist, (ii) dass es die wesentlichen Rückkopplungsprozesse zwischen Klima und Inlandeis enthält und (iii) dass es wegen seiner guten Rechenzeiteffizienz Simulationen über sehr lange Zeitskalen erlaubt. Das neue Modell (REMBO) ist für die Modellierung des Klimas und der Massenbilanz an der grönländischen Oberfläche entwickelt worden und stellt ein verbessertes Verfahren im Vergleich zu den bisherigen dar. Die Entwicklung von GIS über den letzten glazialen Zyklus ist mittels eines Ensembles von verschiedenen Modellversionen simuliert worden. Anschließend ist die Tauglichkeit der Modellversionen durch Vergleich mit Beobachtungsdaten des gegenwärtigen Klimas und der Oberflächenmassenbilanz, sowie mit paleoklimatischen Rekonstruktionen von Eisbohrkernen verifiziert worden. Der Anteil von GIS am Meeresspiegelanstieg während des letzten Interglazials ist im Bereich von 0.5 bis 4.1 m berechnet worden, was konsistent mit bisherigen Schätzungen ist. Von den Ensemblesimulationen sind diejenigen ausgewählt worden, deren Ergebnisse gut mit den Daten übereinstimmen. Durch die Auswahl von geeigneten Modellversionen sind gleichzeitig die Unsicherheiten der Parameterwerte begrenzt worden, so dass sich nun mit dem neuen Verfahren die Sensitivität von GIS auf Klimaänderungen bestimmen lässt. Mit den ausgewählten Modellversionen ist die Sensitivität von GIS auf langfristige Klimaänderungen untersucht worden. Es zeigt sich, dass das GIS ein Hystereseverhalten besitzt (d.h., eine Multistabilität für gewisse Klimazustände) und dass ein Temperaturschwellwert existiert. Bei Überschreiten des Schwellwertes bleibt das GIS nicht erhalten und wird langsam eisfrei werden. Der Temperaturschwellwert der globalen Mitteltemperatur relativ zur vorindustriellen Mitteltemperatur ist im Bereich 1.3-2.3°C ermittelt worden und liegt damit deutlich niedriger als bisher angenommen. Die Zeitdauer bis zum völligen Abschmelzen zeigt ein nichtlineares Verhalten hinsichtlich einer Erwärmung über den ermittelten Schwellwert. Eine Erwärmung von 2°C relativ zur vorindustriellen Zeit führt zu einem Abschmelzen nach 50.000 Jahren, aber eine Erwärmung um 6°C lässt das Inlandeis bereits nach 4.000 Jahren abschmelzen. Ein weiteres Ergebnis ist, dass der Abschmelzvorgang irreversibel werden kann, nachdem ein gewisser Anteil des Inlandeises abgeschmolzen ist – jedoch ist die Irreversibilität eines Abschmelzvorganges auch von der Temperaturanomalie abhängig.

Повний текст джерелаTo keep up with the new emission standards and improve efficiency and autonomy, the transportation sector has moved towards more electric solutions. Then, compactness, weight and efficiency are primary requirements in modern aircrafts or Electric/Hybrid vehicles. The power electronics units in the on-board electrical networks have to be designed accordingly, as it is essential to achieve very compact designs and energy conversion efficiencies very close to the unity. The wide bandgap semiconductor materials are considered as the future technology in the realization of high efficiency switched-mode power supplies. Such materials are featured by fast switching behaviour and low power losses, which allows reducing the size of the passive elements and the cooling unit of the power converter. Considering these criteria, the objective of this study concerns the development of a procedure for the optimal design of a DC/DC boost converter 350V/3kW. The converter has been designed specifically for a powertrain application. In order to ensure the proper interaction with the load (DC/AC inverter and motor) and the micro-grid on-board, the design must take into account the stability and dynamic behaviour of the converter during a possible variation of the operating point, then its control strategy. To deal with the manifold technical solutions and in order to reach the best trade-off, a Pareto front genetic approach is proposed. The developed routine consent to obtain the most convenient design solutions in terms of efficiency and compactness, which ensure the stability and the compliance with the design specification on both steady state and transients modes

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis consists on a study of the influence of the porosity on the plastic behavior of porous soil materials and on the presence of angular points on the layout those criterions. The studied material, rigid perfectly plastic, present cylindrical or spherical cavities randomly. It will be called in the continuation "porous Coulomb", the matrix answering the criterion of Coulomb. We will adopt to study it the model suggested by Gurson, As had done it Gurson in its work of '77, we will use the two approach of limit analysis to deduce the criterion from it from plasticity of studied material. The equivalence between real and homogenized material is obtained by the method of the averages according to the technique of type Kerner, Hashin-Rosen or Hashin in elasticity. For each approaches, the resulting problem of optimization is nonlinear. Several methods are exposed. Traditional technique of linearization, Piece- Wiese Linearization, and that proposed recently by Ben-Tal and Nemirovski lead both to a problem of linear optimization. Recently still appeared codes of conical optimization of the second order such Mosek. A great part of this thesis thus consisted in putting the limiting analysis problems relating to material of Coulomb in the form of conical optimization, in plane strain, in generalized plane strain, and in symmetry of revolution. The applications consist in determining the criterion of plasticity of material of "porous Coulomb" in the case of cylindrical or spherical cavities. The results obtained are finally compared with various analytical criteria such as Drucker-Prager, Cam Clay and Jeong and Pan

Повний текст джерелаOver the past 20 years, there has been a trend in American politics for college graduates to identify with the Democratic party and to fall to the left on the ideology scale. College graduates of today are both more liberal than previous college graduates as well as their contemporary non-college graduate counterparts. Previous research disagrees on what mechanisms are driving this growing education gap in American politics. Some point to selection effects while others argue that college socializes students to move to the left. Using data from the Political Engagement Project (2003-2005), I argue that the process that is occurring is a mix of these two ideas, fitting an Input-Environment-Output model. While college students as a whole do come in leaning to the left, college has a mildly liberalizing effect on students, so that college graduates as a whole exit leaning more to the left than they did when they entered. I also point out some factors which predispose students to ideological change or stability during college

Повний текст джерелаO fator fundamental que leva um poço de petróleo ao colapso é o processo transiente de elevação da pressão de poros ao seu redor, devido à penetração da lama de perfuração no interior da formação. Entre as propriedades da rocha, a permeabilidade é responsável pela determinação da velocidade de penetração, bem como da profundidade atingida. Quando são perfurados folhelhos, rochas de baixa permeabilidade, uma região de dano mecânico se desenvolve ao redor do poço. Esta região é caracterizada pela alteração das propriedades mecânicas e hidráulicas da rocha. O material aumenta de volume acompanhado do surgimento de fissuras, como resultado do descarregamento e subsequente carregamento desviador. Este comportamento do material foi representado neste trabalho através de um modelo de plasticidade não-associada. Este trabalho discute a influência das tensões e da escavação sobre a permeabilidade das rochas, testando a aplicabilidade de duas relações de permeabilidade ao problema da perfuração de poços de petróleo. Estas relações foram implementadas num simulador numérico baseado no método dos elementos finitos, capaz de modelar o processo acoplado de fluxo monofásico através de um meio poroso deformável. Os resultados obtidos mostram que a consideração da permeabilidade da região circunvizinha às paredes do poço como constante, durante e após a perfuração, é uma simplificação que pode levar a erros significativos. As relações de permeabilidade adotadas, embora ainda necessitem de comprovação experimental ou de campo, contribuirão para o melhor entendimento do estudo da estabilidade de poços.
The underlying factor that leads the wellbore collapse is the porepressure transient process of elevation around the wellbore due to the penetration of the drilling mud. Among the rock properties, the permeability is responsible for determining penetration speed, as well as the reached depth. When drilling shales, wich are rocks of low permeability, a zone of mechanical damage is developed around of the wellbore. This zone is characterized by the alteration of the mechanical and hydraulic rock properties. There is a material volume increase, accompanied by microcracking, as a result of the unloading and subsequent deviatoric stresses. This behavior of the material was represented in this work by a model of non-associated plasticity. Here is discussed the stresses and excavation influence on rock permeability, by testing the application of two permeability relationships to drilling problem. These relationships were implemented in a numeric simulator finite element based, wich can model the coupled process of the single-phase flow through porous media.The obtained results show that the consideration of constant permeability on zone close to the wellbore as constant, during and after the drilling, is a simplification that can lead to significant mistakes. The permeability relationships adopted, although still need experimental or field validation, will contribute to a best understanding of the study of the wellbores stability.
