Повний текст джерелаThe thesis analyses the identity re-conversion process wich the argentine army is undergoing in the current democratic context. The analysis is based on an ethnographic study of the cadets' socialization process at the only academy for initial training for officials of the argentine army : Colegio Militar de la Nacion (CMN) (National Military Academy). The argentine army is undergoing a process of change with particular manifestations on the military socialization of the cadets at the CNM. This process is characterized by a substantial change in the study plans, a redefinition of the criteria of authority and discipline and the incorporation of women. These aspects, in conjunction with structural dimensions of argentine society and the relationship between the army, the state and civilian governments since the return of democracy, have introduced tensions into the construction of the military identity. The thesis analyses these tensions and shows how the army attempts to reconvert its institutional identity without altering a dimension on wich it has tried to construct its public legitimacy since the 1930's : the moral dimension of the military profession

Повний текст джерелаOften satisfied with a rough image of trade unionism, political science finds itself confronted with the following alternative : amalgamating the terms union and pressure group or defining the former by opposition to political parties. Instead of these normative categories, in reality it is the function of feeding into the political system which determines trade unionism as an object for political science. A factor determining political participation and the mobilisation of support, unionism is also a means of political socialisation and recruitment of elites. From this angle, the crisis which has hit unionism since the end of the 1970s, whether its factors be endogenous or exogenous, can be analyzed as the sum of a series of disfunctionings which effect each of its contributions to the political system. More precisely, this thesis develops the general hypothesis that the fading of unionism can be explained by the gradual disappearance of the principal clements of political socialisation situated at the sources of militantism

Повний текст джерелаThis PhD thesis analyzes the role of conflict in relation to the memories of the Spanish Civil War and Francoism in the context of democracy building in the long-term and the local, regional and national levels. The socio-historical study of practices, discourses and intercations between agents such as the statee, the church, the political parties, historiography, victims' associations or families, elucidates how the memory of the Cicil War ceased to be a manichean story, being depoliticized during the transition, and finally becam, once democracy was consolidated, a policy field and a militant cause. The intersectorial circulation of political, religious, historical and legal knwledges, actions and agents-bearing dibergent and little reflexive interpretations of history-involved the establishment of cultural matrices by which ordinary citizens translate contemporary politics. The conflicts between the victors'memories and the vanquished's ones are both the cause and the effect of the policization of memory and the memorization of politics, thus participating in the undermining of the initial legitimacy of the Spanish democratic regime

Повний текст джерелаThis study deals with street children in Kinshasa. It focuses on the relationship between street children and host institutions, especially as children get in and out of these shelters. Fieldwork was initially carried out in Kinshasa within four host institutions, with a particular emphasis on observation and interviews of young people who use them on a regular basis. One particular institution was then selected for an in-depth observation. Two concepts informed this participant observation: recognition and empowerment. By inviting young people to develop behaviors, practices, and strategies that best fit their needs and benefit them, the host institution integrates the two aforementioned concepts in the way it socially rehabilitates these children. In addition, the institution further enforces its principles through shared responsibilities when, for instance, older children mentor younger ones and participate in establishing the institution’s internal rules. Yet, some children believe that the institution does not empower them enough or provide them with enough recognition. Some « streets leaders » feel they are not given proper recognition. Decisions are made without consulting them or soliciting their street experience. When that happens, some children withdraw from the institution to resume life on the street. Therefore, the aim of this study is to show that when children’s expectations are not sufficiently taken into consideration, there is likely to be a higher level of dissatisfaction and low retention rates

Повний текст джерелаThis study is based on an action research aimed at modelling, implementing and evaluating an educational strategy based on the construction of a learning territory, initiated from the school. The socio-historical approach of the Corsican island context highlights a singular islandity, characterised by strong heritage links, correlated with committed eco-citizen behaviour. At the same time, the analysis of the educational system underlines a school form where a school-centred vision of education and a distance to the territory persist. Moreover, as schools do not develop a democratic socialization mode, the researcher considers that they are not very efficient for eco-citizen training. The researcher, who is also a teacher, has put to the test the impact of heritage links on the eco-citizen profile and has put forward the hypothesis that heritage could be the lever of an innovative educational strategy, linked to the school form, aiming at a school integrated in its territory and a conversion towards a democratic mode of socialization. The use of the territorial intelligence approach made it possible to define the modalities of the learning territory, built on three pillars: science teaching, interdisciplinarity and educational territorialisation. A learning organization was gradually co-constructed by local actors: students, education professionals, citizens and institutions outside the school. The latter has spread over the territory, evolving into a learning territory. The impact assessment focuses on students' heritage connections and environmental citizenship profile. The methodology is based on a test-lot/control-lot survey approach and combines various strategies to optimize the internal and external validity of the study. The results show an enhancement of the heritage links and eco-citizenship profiles of some batches of pupils. The educational strategy carried out, built from the perspective of eco-ontogenesis within the framework of education on the nearby environment, engages certain pupils in the process of encapacitation, opening the way to their autonomy or even empowerment, the door to emancipation

Повний текст джерелаOur research calls forth three reassessments : Marx’s theory of history does not expel politics, rather it raises democracy as the issue of modern times; communism does not dismiss democracy but actualizes it; it is not the dictatorship of the proletariat that poses a problem but society’s constitution into a political subject. Already in his first works, Marx criticizes the differentiated sphere of politics for the sake of immanent politics since democracy is not a form of the modern state, but what surpasses the diremption of the community. The democratic state is an oxymoron; true or real democracy is communism. The democratic state is condemned to remain formal without the socialization of the means of production, and communism is condemned to a dictatorship of the needs without the socialization of politics. The issue of democracy the way Marx states it therefore provides a main thread for hermeneutics and political analysis. Remains the precarious process of realizing democracy. The dictatorship of the proletariat is an expansion of democracy against the state, but the dialectic of revolution did not lead to a decisive subjective moment. Yet democratic societies tend toward socialization and endure the conditions of impossibility for fair politics: a marxist stand thus unfolds democracy as an issue and puts into question the closure of the Machiavellian moment

Повний текст джерелаThe bare institutional analysis of the african democratic renewak doesn't seem to be satisfactory any more. It is useful to study the numerous political expressions that outshine the institutional pattern. The study of the collective action s directed against the power allows the highlighting of this postulate in kenya and zambia, whose interest is that they have known similar political trajectories. So, two objective were pursued : first, in a conceptual viewpoint, we wanted to overwhelm the classical collective action theories by searching a protest action system; secondly, we wanted to unveil and may be to fill some gaps (the collective action theories haven't been used to study the democratization processes). The building of the protest action system proved to be possible and the pursueing of the second objective allowed the beginning of a double rehabilitation : the rehabilitation of the multidimensionality in the conceptual approach; the rehabilitation of not only the african actor but also the african space as the object of a research

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis intends to assess the cooperative possibilities in middle school class from a field study on a school in the Paris region. Considering that the French school, specifically middle school, does not manage to organize an effective educational action, we hypothesize that it comes from a lack of basic cooperative structures in classroom practice. To answer this issue, we support the thesis that classroom practice is already impregnated with an ideal that substitutes polymorphic practices to the traditional school form. These practices rely on communication and interaction, this is why it allows us to consider a transformation towards more cooperation. To support this view, we studied a school in the Paris region for over two years, which led us to analyze the teachers’ point of view through semi-directive interviews. We then observed the dynamic between a teacher and a group of students in two extra-curricular workshops being held within the school. To be able to study in a relevant way these cooperative practices, we have built the cooperation concept from the writings of John Dewey which we confront with the French school form throughout this thesis
Oeser, Alexandra. "La transmission scolaire du passé nazi en Allemagne : étude comparative de quatre écoles à Hambourg et Leipzig." Paris, EHESS, 2007. http://www.theses.fr/2007EHES0130.
Повний текст джерелаThe pedagogical transmission of the nazi past in Germany is analysed in four schools in Hamburg and Leipzig. Formes of reappropriation and uses of the past by two generations of teachers - the "1968 generation" and the "GDR generation - and by their students are analysed. The thesis is based on 137 interviews and more than two years of classroom observation of history lessons. Significations and functions of the nazi past vary according to spaces, moments and men (classrooms, schoolyard, peer groups, home). But social frameworks also influence and/or direct uses of the past : the socialisation of teachers and students, generational belonging, gender and group dynamics, social class, political engagement, east-west oppositions. This research analyses situations and dispositions in order to try and understand multiple uses of the past. The research within schools and that within families allows to think the twofold influence of these social institutions on the adolescents

Повний текст джерелаOur research studies the history of the Algerian People's Party-Movement for the Triumph of Democratic Liberty which was the main and most "radical" nationalistic party between 1943 and 1954 in the former « Departement d'Alger ». Chronologically speaking,1943 is the year in which the political activity restarted after the Allies' landing in North Africa and 1954 the year in which the Algerian Revolution started with the November the 1st uprising. Our research is divided into two main parts aiming at understanding a political party which developed a style of functioning and different means of action according to particular moments or according to the field where it spread its activity. Firstly, we performed a historical analysis in which we tried to reconstruct the historical facts in their chronological linking in order to understand the way the party evolved. Secondly,we tried to produce a socio-historical analysis aimed at studying the nationalistic « counter society » that the APP MTDL strived to build with its specific structures. This analysis has led to point out certain caracteristic features that are specific to the algerian revolutionnary nationalism

Повний текст джерелаIt is timely to talk about the political involvement of women in France in a context that would be equally represented. Through their biographies, their paths activists and elected office, their careers and the exercise of their practices undertaken in this particular field : what determines a woman to become professional in politics ?Thus, why there are still too few women in France to run for elective office while the latter show themselves aware of the problems facing our society and are willing to make changes to social evolution, both through their actions and through their votes for which they are mobilized by appointing representatives to guarantee a given policy. Clearly, women are totally entrenched in politics as they debate the issue and make it like any other citizen. Their turnout attests. In that case, why are they so poorly integrated into the political system ? What will lock their public participation ?To do, our survey will deal with the women’s socialization and professionalization in the peculiar political universe where the power is synonymous with manliness, through a gendered comparison of the feminine and masculine careers

Повний текст джерелаThis philosophical thesis is deal with problematic of common political existence. The aim of this work is to propose a analysis of republican rationality to show it determines the conscience of citizens. The reflection is centre on republican universality to examine the effects it have on humanisation, particularely on human faculties. In a first time the autor show that universal politic act and the common conscience which accompagn it proceed by " desingularisation ". The problem of relations beetween subjectivity and objectivity is analysed. Effectively, universal political act put everybody in touch with everybody and objectivize every citizen including the relation to himself wich is now mediatized by the all political body. Phenomenological method is used to point out the caracteristics of republican rationality and the type of relation to other citizens it implics. From a phenomenological point of wiew, the autor wants to show political experience proceed by desingularisation and how individualities – consciences and bodis-, When aiming political objectities (republican), escape from empirical determinations and reach immaterality of political ideality (intimely connected with political body) which is universal and unifying

Повний текст джерелаThe thesis reports the way how it was built, historically, the idea of popular participation in the imaginary aspect of the Brazilian social movements in order to explain the experiences of democratization of the current local power in that country, which have been stimulated by the labour party (partido dos trabalhadores - pt) in important urban centers. The empirical motto of the paper is the experience of the "sharing budget" of Porto Alegre, in southern Brazil, where the direct democracy processes in combination with the political representation, originating a hybrid system of public administration wherein the distance that separates the civil society and the political society is visibly attenuated. It is about a "democracy model" that motivates the active engagement of citizens, through the non-conventional modalities of political participation. On the other hand, the thesis shows that the subject of the local power in Latin America and Brazil is, simultaneously, an object of scientific investigation appreciated in universities nowadays and, yet, a strategy adopted by the left to oppose the government policies with a neoliberal cut of the present central government. The priority inversions in the municipal rule, in terms of administration and financing of Porto Alegre, orientated by the "pt" through the "sharing budget", constituted themselves in one demonstrative effect for the anti-neoliberal opposition of the new continent. A "profane democracy" started to grow, making the state more efficient, without becoming "minimum". The support of the voters, for successive three times, aims at the consolidation of the experience and at the new challenges in the "pt" project of socialization of politics

Повний текст джерелаThis dissertation illuminates the practical and symbolic conditions of appropriation of general assemblies (assemblées générales – AG) by striking students in the second half of the 2000s in France. This mode of organization has been part of their contentious repertoire since the 1960s. It tries to understand the recurrence of ways of action from a mobilization to another, that is, how actors come to resort to one of them instead of others they know, how they learn how to practice it and how they slightly transform it in the process. It is mostly based on an ethnographic investigation about the mobilizations of three higher education sites between 2006 and 2010. The uses of AG are shaped by internal conflicts among the social, political and union groups which are involved in the space of these mobilizations, so that their success stems from both the symbolic entreprise of justification of them in the sake of « democracy » by minority currents, and their plasticity. Indeed, they play a whole set of roles – which sometimes have nothing to do with « democratic » norms. They are promoted by activists to whom they give the feeling that they influence a mass of students, especially as they belong to organizations which are far from being able to mobilize as many members
