In this paper, the thermal behavior of a 12kW, 12000rpm, wet-type Permanent Magnet Brushless DC motor (BLDC) with skydrol oil inside designed for electro-hydraulic actuation system (EHA) was analyzed. A 3-D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model has been built. The influence of skydrol hydraulic oil in thermal behavior at both low-speed and high-speed conditions was discussed. The results confirm that the skydrol oil passing through the motor has different impact on the thermal performance in different conditions.

The teat rubber of milking machines is the only structural component of all milking and dairy equipment that is in contact with animals. During operation, the rubber article’s original quality characteristics are compromised. This is due to mechanical wear during operation. The task of the research is to establish changes in the parameters of the teat rubber of milking machines during testing and under industrial conditions. The object of research was the teat rubber of milking machines from various manufacturers, made of various composite materials. A scientific hypothesis put forward assumed that an increase in the efficiency of milking and dairy equipment could be achieved by establishing changes in the parameters of the teat rubber with subsequent maintenance planning. This would provide an opportunity to identify patterns and dependences that characterize these processes. In the course of research, theoretical dependences were derived to determine the operation of teat rubber in idle mode and the theoretical time of its operation. It was established that the theoretical wear period of the teat rubber is about 120–170 hours. It was determined that in the environment of SZHR-3, the coefficient of aging in terms of intensity was >2 times higher compared to Skydrol LD-4. The volume under similar conditions of exposure of liquids on samples exceeded by more than 3 times. It is proved that the change in the mass of rubber under the influence of SZHR-3 exceeds more than 2.5 times the indicators obtained from the effects of Skydrol LD-4. It was established that during long-term operation the teat rubber undergoes changes in its physical and mechanical properties. Thus, hardness and elasticity increase, elasticity decreases due to the destruction of the internal structure of rubber due to the formation of microcracks, the vacuum of closing the walls increases. Knowledge of the quality characteristics of the teat rubber would make it possible to find the optimal solution for the choice of rubber articles

They were simultaneously subjected to tensile, flexural and (in some cases) compressive loads. Comparison experiments were performed with samples in dry air. The rate of sorption of the liquid environments into quasi- isotropic laminates containing small circular holes was studied as a function of the (constant) strain applied. The specimens were then broken in tension. Strength and modulus retention were noted. The nature and magnitude of the load and of the environment had little effect on the failure mode, but considerable effect on the strength retention, and damage was sometimes initiated in the vicinity of the holes. Critical strain levels for damage initiation in dichloromethane are reported. A few results are also reported for unidirectional laminates, without holes.

The research proposed the design and installation of the DC motor with a feedback position used to control the steering direction of a rice-planting machine here will be converted into driverless robots. The MATLAB/Simulink software is used to simulate and measure signal drive from the servo controller board to obtain results that can be used to drive BTS 7960 motor driver module for the DC motor with feedback position. The SkyDroid T10 is used to remote control of steering direction of rice-planting machines and the mechanism to drive all robots. The results of test results of the robot spraying chemicals in rice fields were excellent. The operator can remotely control the robot through the camera from the mobile phone. The chemicals can be sprayed quickly, and the chemicals are distributed evenly and evenly into the ground.

Cloud computing has experienced rapid growth in recent years and has become a critical computing paradigm. Combining multiple cloud services to satisfy complex user requirements has become a research hotspot in cloud computing. Service composition in multi-cloud environments is characterized by high energy consumption, which brings attention to the importance of energy consumption in cross-cloud service composition. Nonetheless, prior research has mainly focused on finding a service composition that maximizes the quality of service (QoS) and overlooks the energy consumption generated during service invocation. Additionally, the dynamic nature of multi-cloud environments challenges the adaptability and scalability of cloud service composition methods. Therefore, we propose the skyline-enhanced deep reinforcement learning approach (SkyDRL) to address these challenges. Our approach defines an energy consumption model for cloud service composition in multi-cloud environments. The branch and bound skyline algorithm is leveraged to reduce the search space and training time. Additionally, we enhance the basic deep Q-network (DQN) algorithm by incorporating double DQN to address the overestimation problem, incorporating Dueling Network and Prioritized Experience Replay to speed up training and improve stability. We evaluate our proposed method using comparative experiments with existing methods. Our results demonstrate that our approach effectively reduces energy consumption in cloud service composition while maintaining good adaptability and scalability in service composition problems. According to the experimental results, our approach outperforms the existing approaches by demonstrating energy savings ranging from 8% to 35%.

Alléger les avions reste une problématique majeure pour l’industrie aéronautique. Le développement de composites à matrices thermoplastiques, en remplacement des thermodurcissables, permet d’obtenir des matériaux soudables et recyclables, avec une température de service supérieure. Cette thèse s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet PSPC HAICoPAS, porté par Hexcel et Arkema, dont le but est de concevoir des nappes de composites à matrices thermoplastiques hautes performances. L’objectif de cette thèse est d’évaluer l’impact de l’eau et du Skydrol (un fluide hydraulique utilisé en aéronautique) sur les propriétés des composites PEKK/FC (polyéthercétonecétone renforcé en fibres de carbone) et d’identifier les mécanismes responsables des potentielles pertes de propriétés. Pour répondre à cette problématique, l’étude porte à la fois sur la matrice PEKK seule et sur le composite PEKK/FC. Les mécanismes de transport de l’eau dans la matrice ainsi que dans le composite sont mis en évidence par gravimétrie. Les différents paramètres de transport de l’eau sont déterminés dans une gamme de températures de 30°C à 70°C, à la fois en immersion dans l’eau et par DVS pour des humidités relatives entre 10% et 90%. La diffusion de l’eau dans le PEKK seul suit une loi de Fick tandis qu’une déviation de cette loi est observée aux temps long pour le composite PEKK/FC immergé dans l’eau. La solubilité de l’eau dans le PEKK suit une loi d’Henry. Cependant, l’absorption d’eau dans le composite, en fonction de l’humidité relative, est modélisée par une loi d’Henry couplée à une loi de puissance attribuée à un phénomène de « clustering » ayant lieu dans les micro cavités. Les propriétés mécaniques de la matrice et du composite sont peu impactées par l’eau qui induit essentiellement une plastification de la matrice et qui ne semble pas impacter l’interface fibre/matrice. L’immersion de composite PEKK/FC dans le Skydrol révèle une quantité de fluide absorbé par le composite croisé [0/90] dix fois plus importante que pour l’unidirectionnel. Ce résultat est la conséquence de cavités de taille submicronique créées dans le composite [0/90] sous la forme de décohésions à l’interface fibre/matrice. Ces décohésions sont présentes uniquement au niveau des interplis des composites d’empilements croisés (0/90, ±45° ou quasi-isotropes). Leur formation est attribuée au différentiel de retrait thermique qui existe entre les fibres de carbone et la matrice PEKK, causant un champ de contraintes résiduelles post-consolidation, lors du refroidissement. Ces endommagements, très localisés, n’impactent pas les propriétés mécaniques déterminées en ILSS
Lightening aircraft remains a major issue for the aeronautics industry. The development of composites with thermoplastic matrices, replacing thermosetting ones, makes it possible to obtain weldable and recyclable materials, with a higher service temperature. This thesis is part of the PSPC HAICoPAS project, led by Hexcel and Arkema, whose goal is to design high-performance thermoplastic matrix composite tapes. The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of water and Skydrol (a hydraulic fluid used in aeronautics) on the properties of CF/PEKK composites (carbon fiber reinforced polyetherketoneketone) and to identify the mechanisms responsible for potential loss of property. To answer this problem, the study concerns both the PEKK matrix alone and the CF/PEKK composite. The water transport mechanisms in the matrix as well as in the composite are determined by gravimetry. The different water transport parameters are measured in a temperature range of 30°C to 70°C, both in water immersion and by DVS, for relative humidities between 10% and 90%. The diffusion of water in the PEKK alone follows a Fick's law while a deviation from this law is visible at long times for the CF/PEKK composite immersed in water. The solubility of water in PEKK follows Henry's law. However, water absorption in the composite, as a function of relative humidity, is modeled by Henry's law coupled with a power law attributed to a “clustering” phenomenon taking place in the microcavities. The mechanical properties of the matrix and of the composite are little affected by water, which essentially induces plasticization of the matrix and which does not seem to affect the fibre/matrix interface. The immersion of CF/PEKK composite in the Skydrol reveals a quantity of fluid absorbed by the crossed composite [0/90] ten times greater than for the unidirectional layup. This result is the consequence of cavities of submicronic size created in the [0/90] composite in the form of decohesions at the fibre/matrix interface. These decohesions are present only at the level of the interply of the cross-ply composites (0/90, ±45° or quasi-isotropic). Their formation is attributed to the thermal shrinkage differential that exists between the carbon fibers and the PEKK matrix, causing a post-consolidation residual stress field upon cooling. These very localized damages do not affect the resulting mechanical properties in ILSS

The thesis aims to design and implement an Android application with ability to control the autopilot of the Skydog aircraft model using the wireless telemetry. The application shall receive data from an aircraft model gathered from various installed sensors. These data shall be then processed and corresponding instructions for autopilot shall be sent back. When collision with terrain or obstacle is detected, the application shall send instructions to autopilot to avoid such collision. RRT algorithm is used to find collision-free flight trajectory. Database of known obstacles and digital terrain model are provided to application in formats XML and GeoTIFF respectively.

ICT Entrepreneurship is a master program aims at bringing graduates with ICT backgrounds (Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunication …) business knowledge which is specialized into ICT field. A thesis project is compulsory for judging the student’s ability of applying theoretical understanding into solving realistic matters, especially within startup environments. That suggests the selection of topic for the project: Potentiality of online tourism market in Vietnam – the case of Skydoor.

Vietnam has been widely recognized as an attractive destination for travel, and the Vietnamese government has been seriously determining to lift the industry according to its potential and expectation. However, ICT application within tourism is still very limited. Within that context, Skydoor appeared as an innovative venture which runs an online platform on tourism (www.skydoor.net). This platform is a combination of a web 2.0 application and an information portal. For that reason, it connects people with shared interest in tourism and provides them with exciting web facilities and useful information from multiple sources.

As many other startups, Skydoor is having many opportunities as well as against many big challenges at the moment. With a complete product and initial steps to bring it to users, what else can the company do to attain a sustainable growth in future? It requires deep study about the industry as well as the company status to plan for short and long terms.

This project helps to explore the industry of online portals focused on tourism in Vietnam and examine the position of Skydoor within that situation. Methodology includes literature review, information searching, data gathering and information/data analysis. The list of resources used for the literature review is in Bibliography section at the end of this report. Primary information/data as input for the analysis process are from surveys and direct interviews with Skydoor founders, while secondary information/data are collected from various resources on the Internet, from official Skydoor blog, and from personal blogs of Skydoor founders. Links to original sources are listed in the References section, whereas the surveys’ artifacts are included in the Appendix A. The fundamental framework used for analysis is DDART, with supports from the tools introduces during the courses of Business Opportunity/Global Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Abstract The goal of the proposed work was to analyze the aerodynamic performance of a Skydio 6 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as a supplementary tool for bridge girder inspections. The use of UAVs has become more attractive due to their ability to gather critical information in less time and at a lower cost when compared to traditional bridge girder inspection techniques. In pursuit of this goal, the present work presents aerodynamic performance evaluation results via computational fluid dynamics (CFD) of a Skydio 2 UAV for bridge girder inspection. The study is implemented using the commercially available CFD solver, ANSYS FLUENT (v. 19). The evaluation study utilized an unstructured tetrahedron meshing technique throughout the numerical analysis, with a standard k-epsilon turbulence model. The Multiple Reference Frame (MRF) model was also used to model the rotation of the propellers toward their local reference frame at 6000 revolutions per minute (RPM). This paper presents the numerical modeling methodology as well as a discussion of parametric results. The parametric results presented show reliable moment coefficient and thrust making the Skydio 2 UAV suitable for bridge inspection.
