The review was prepared on the basis of the materials of the expert section ‘Scientometry 2.0: Digital Restart’, which took place as part of the Gaidar Forum 2020. It is devoted to a discussion of the role of applied scientometrics in assessing the effectiveness of scientists, as well as the prospects and possibilities of digitalization of science. The ‘tyranny of indicators’ and the crisis of confidence among the academic community in any formal assessment of their activities is one of the most important trends in the field of scientific administration in recent years. The object of public criticism is applied scientometrics as a tool for this assessment. During the discussion, experts made a number of significant comments regarding the widespread use of applied scientometrics. First, scientometric awareness needs to be formed. Scientometrics can be useful for both researchers and organizations. Scientometric literacy needs to be educated. It is such an approach for the future that can be an important step towards overcoming the systemic crisis in assessing scientific activity. Secondly, the scientometric assessment should be supported by expert assessment. If the first formalizes the assessment process and makes the management system more transparent, the second fills it with meaningful meaning. Thirdly, the digital transformation in the management of scientific activity at the moment is not able to remove the contradiction that has arisen. Moreover, as follows from the expert’s speech, neither the scientific community, nor the scientific management system itself, is yet ready for digital transformation.

Many scientometric and citation systems, including the world famous WoS, Scopus, Google Shcolar, develop thematic categories for searching and processing information. Most important tasks that can be solved using thematic classification methods are: assessment of the dynamics of the development of thematic areas in the organization, country and in world science; search for articles on a given topic; search and assessment of the authority of experts; search for journal for publication and other relevant tasks. The Lomonosov Moscow State University is currently developing and using the system ISTINA. In this project, algorithms have been created that solve some of the problems listed. Scientific research is underway to create new effective mathematical models and algorithms in this area.

An article in a scientific journal is the key element of modern scholarly communication system, in which scientific journals act as conductors of national science and researchers to the international level. Integration of Russian scientific journals into the global knowledge system and improving their competitiveness are necessary conditions for improving the competitiveness of Russian science itself.Today, we see a low quality of Russian scientific periodicals with an excessive number of journals. The highly competitive environment and the total use of bibliometric approaches in the research and assessment of science born unfair race for indicators, developing imitation science.The study aims to analyze, determine and propose solutions of topical issues of Russian scientific journals. The article is a case study of the oldest monthly scientific and production journal “Occupational Safety in Industry”. The transformation of the work of the editorial board is considered within the 2016–2019 period. We analyze the history of formation, development and the common problems of restructuring the activities of the editorial boards that have occurred in recent years.It is shown that the formalization of scientometric indicators and their impact on funding cause a sharp increase in the number of authors with multiple affiliations. In general, the use of bibliometrics in Russia has generated a number of systemic risks that threaten the development of national science.The study formulates the tasks and nearest prospects for the development of scientific journals as the basis for a changing scholarly communication system. It is necessary to develop the qualitative scientometrics with new scientometric indices and qualitative author-evaluating indicators (with more precise scientometrics, new tools will appear, including those for identifying dishonest scientists).To improve the evaluation system of Russian scientific journals, we propose: improving the generally accepted scientometric methods taking into account Russian specifics and introducing a system for assessing and monitoring the quality of Russian scientific journals, combining the use of bibliometric information and independent expert evaluation. The creation of high-quality scientometrics is possible with the use of artificial intelligence systems.The proposed steps will build a self-regulatory ecosystem on the Russian space of scholarly communication with well-functioning high-quality expertise, which will determine the future of scientific journals.

It is shown that the calculation of scientometric indicators of the scientist and also the scientific journal continues to be an actual problem nowadays. It is revealed that the leading scientometric databases have the capabilities of automated metadata collection from the scientific journal website by the use of specialized electronic document management systems, in particular Open Journal Systems. It is established that Open Journal Systems successfully exports metadata about an article from scientific journals to scientometric databases Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar. However, there is no standard method of export from Open Journal Systems to such scientometric databases as the Russian Science Citation Index and Index Copernicus, which determined the need for research. The aim of the study is to develop the plug-in to the Open Journal Systems for the export of data from this system to scientometric database Russian Science Citation Index. As a result of the study, an infological model for exporting metadata from Open Journal Systems to the Russian Science Citation Index was proposed. The SirenExpo plug-in was developed to export data from Open Journal Systems to the Russian Science Citation Index by the use of the Articulusrelease preparation system.

Problem setting. Today our country joins the European Research Area, in particular, taking into account the experience and successful practices of the European Union in open science, cooperation in digital projects, ensuring access of Ukrainian scientists to international databases, electronic journals, scientific and educational networks and scientometric systems and platforms. Some analysis issues of the state and prospects of the national system of open science development, the application of information technologies and open science resources for scientometric and bibliometric analysis of modern trends in scientific communication, don`t lose their relevance, were and remain in the center of attention of foreign and national scientists, specialists, practitioners, such as: S. Glibko, Y. Pasmor, A. Strizhkova. The target of this article is to define tasks and directions concerning scientometric and bibliometric definition of modern problems of scientific activity on the basis of the analysis. Article`s main body. In the context of Ukraine’s solution of tasks and implementation of long-term plans for integration of achievements and obtainings of scientists into the European information space, EU development strategy until 2020 is aimed at «Innovation Union» and at building open innovation. It seems convincing that the concept of open access has become the basis for the emergence of a number of projects, which were realised in the paradigm of open science through the joint use and dissemination of research results, ideas, innovations for global progress, development and presence of Ukraine in the world scientific community. Conclusions and prospects for the development. 44.8 % of respondents said that scientometrics is very important. 89.6 % support scientometrics as a new but necessary way to measure scientific achievements. Therefore, in the current trends of global technologies of open science, natural transformations of society, the evolution of forms and research methodologies are obvious. In the paradigm of open innovations, which are also based on scientometric, bibliometric indicators and resources of open science, the following issues are relevant: 1) providing grant support for the best projects of Ukrainian scientists within the competition of the National Research Foundation; 2) implementation of measures for Ukraine accession to the grant program «Horizon Europe»; 3) continuation of work on the creation of the National Scientific Information System «URIS»; 4) stimulation of activities in the field of technology transfer to provide more transparency and accessibility to national science; 5) implementation of a pilot project of the creation a network of startup-school-incubator-accelerator on the basis of higher education institutions and research institutions.

This study extended the author's previous research in the field of scientometrics of media researchers on the topic “Mass information. Journalism. Mass media” in Russian electronic library and Russian Science Citation Index. The methodology was a census of the personalities of the first hundred authors ranked by the level of the h-index in 2020 compared to 2017, and in some aspects — from 2016. The study analyzed the changes in the h-index over the years under study, changes in the authors' geography by federal districts and cities of the Russian Federation, their academic position, the distribution of doctors and candidates of sciences in scientific majors in accordance with the awarded degree, as well as the distribution of rating personalities by actual scientific interests and taught courses in their affiliated scientific and educational organizations. The study revealed the importance of scientometric indicators for authors and scientific and educational organizations to determine their place in the academic community, the relevance of topics and authors’ research in the general academic landscape, and material incentives. At the same time, it was noted that the system of scientometric indicators is changing: perhaps the h-index the number of published works and the number of citations in the RSCI will remain as an object of research by historians of science to determine the common place of Russian (and Soviet) scientists in the science development, and in addition or to replace them there will be new indicators. One of them is the "percentile" recently introduced into the list of scientometric indicators. Studies of the values of scientometric indicators will remain relevant in the future.

The papaer presents a review of some publications on the history of the development, formation, functions and capabilities of scientometrics, as well as the state of Russian science and its role on the international arena. The thoughts regarding the role of scientometrics in modern scientific research are stated. To date, scientometrics provides a number of possibilities. First of all, it is a system for monitoring publication activity of scientists around the world. Obviously, the main goal is structuring scientific publications with the following improvement of scientific activity. Howewer, are modern scientometric indicators objective in relation not only to the number, but also to the quality of scientific publications? Is the notorious Hirsch index an ideal parameter for evaluating the performance of researchers? Are there any prospects for scientometrics in the modern scientific world, or is a worthy alternative to currently used methods for assessing scientific activity required? These and many other questions are raised by the authors in this article.

Paper gives the results of the first ever performed scientometric research and citation analysis and assessment of the full-time faculty of the University of Pristina located in Kosovska Mitrovica (University of KM). Lists of most cited scientists, researchers and Professors employed at the University of KM are presented, as well as lists of their most cited scientific papers. Scientometrics results are obtained by using well-known and efficient web browsers and index citation databases. H-index and G-index are calculated for individuals and for the entire University of KM. The results presented in this paper are only a part of results obtained in the pioneering research aimed to assess the quality of individuals and activities at the University of KM by using up-to-date scientometric and bibliometric methods. The main objective of the research is to enhance the transparency of research, scientific and teaching activities at the University of KM. Objective evidence on the University of KM and other Serbian universities is absolutely necessary in order to put together an adequate action plan to improve the quality of higher education and university system in the Republic of Serbia.

In modern society, the issue of quality assurance by higher education institutions is of particular importance. One of the aspects of the internal quality assurance system is to monitor the level of professional competence of teachers, ensuring openness, transparency of evaluation indicators. In their turn, indicators of research activities of teachers, such as citations in scientometric databases Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar directly affect the ranking of higher education institutions in international and Ukrainian rankings. Therefore, the issue of formation and implementation of systems for the analysis of professional activity of teachers, in particular research, which allow monitoring and evaluation of key performance indicators of research activities of academic staff, is particularly relevant. The paper analyzes the experience of Ukrainian and foreign universities in implementing systems for presenting the professional activities of teachers, analyzing the research activities of academic staff and building ratings of professional and research activities. Modern higher education institutions use various technologies to present the professional activities of teachers in the public domain - Wiki technology, published pages on official websites and developed information systems. The main indicators used in rating the effectiveness of research activities are citation indicators in scientometric databases Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar - citation value, number of documents, h-index, i10-index, therefore, for high-quality presentation of research results in rankings it is important to ensure the visibility of scientific publications - the use of Open Journal Systems, placement of publications in open institutional repositories, electronic libraries, updating profiles of scientists in scientometric and bibliometric databases to update citation indices, etc.

Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is a general purpose programmable logic device that can be configured by a customer after manufacturing to perform from a simple logic gate operations to complex systems on chip or even artificial intelligence systems. Scientific publications related to FPGA started in 1992 and, up to now, we found more than 70,000 documents in the two leading scientific databases (Scopus and Clarivative Web of Science). These publications show the vast range of applications based on FPGAs, from the new mechanism that enables the magnetic suspension system for the kilogram redefinition, to the Mars rovers’ navigation systems. This paper reviews the top FPGAs’ applications by a scientometric analysis in ScientoPy, covering publications related to FPGAs from 1992 to 2018. Here we found the top 150 applications that we divided into the following categories: digital control, communication interfaces, networking, computer security, cryptography techniques, machine learning, digital signal processing, image and video processing, big data, computer algorithms and other applications. Also, we present an evolution and trend analysis of the related applications.

The development programs of Russian universities contain many different target indicators. Many of these indicators are focused on the development of the research activities. In the context of limited financial resources for development, the question of an effective system of target indicators is very important. To construct such a system of target indicators, three conditions must be met: 1) these target indicators do not contradict each other; 2) there are indicators with a positive effect on economic indicators; 3) subject areas are taken into account.The aim of the research. This study is aimed to study linear correlation dependencies between the main indicators measuring the university’s publication activity and other scientometric, social and structural indicators.Materials and methods. The study used economic, structural and scientometric data for 49 largest universities in Russia over 4 years, downloaded from monitoring the performance of educational institutions of higher education and the SciVal analytical tool.Results. As part of the research, it was studied which variables are correlated with the taken scientometric variables. Due to the large number of variables involved in the primary analysis, the table contains only those variables that correlate with the variables under consideration with a correlation coefficient of more than 0.3 modulus.Conclusion. The results obtained allow both to resolve the contradiction of the simultaneous increase in the number and quality of publications, and to highlight a number of links between scientometric indicators and indicators of university economics, internationalization and quality of admission. Knowledge of these dependencies is useful for compiling university development programs that do not contain internal contradictions. The conclusions obtained make it possible to increase the efficiency of construction a system of university target indicators in the research field in three areas: compiling the university development program with consistent target indicators, the inclusion of indicators with a positive impact on economic indicators, taking into account the peculiarities of the field of science and education in which the university operates.

Construction management can be regarded as a complex and dynamic system. In recent years, system dynamics (SD) has been widely applied to solve the complex and dynamic problems in the construction management. However, there is a lack of a scientometric analysis to investigate SD applications in construction management from an objective perspective. To fill out this research gap, this study retrieved a total of 222 relevant articles from the Scopus database. Then, VOSviewer was employed to analyze the collected literature from five aspects (i.e., co-authorship, published journals, co-occurring keywords, article citations, and regions). Based on the analysis results, four mainstream research themes were identified and discussed, including “risk management”, “waste management”, “energy management”, and “construction productivity”. In addition, future research directions, such as “construction risk allocation in PPP projects”, “evaluating the economic feasibility of construction waste landfilling centers”, “identifying the variables affecting lighting infrastructure energy consumption”, and “assessing construction productivity for technology-intensive activities”, were proposed. The contribution of this study lies in that it helps both scholars and practitioners to solve the complex and dynamic problems in construction management.

Although scientometrics is seeing increasing use in Information Systems (IS) research, in particular for evaluating research efforts and measuring scholarly influence; historically, scientometric IS studies are focused primarily on ranking authors, journals, or institutions. Notwithstanding the usefulness of ranking studies for evaluating the productivity of the IS field's formal communication channels and its scholars, the IS field has yet to exploit the full potential that scientometrics offers, especially towards its progress as a discipline. This study makes a contribution by raising the discourse surrounding the value of scientometric research in IS, and proposes a framework that uncovers the multi-dimensional bases for citation behaviour and its epistemological implications on the creation, transfer, and growth of IS knowledge. Having identified 112 empirical research evaluation studies in IS, we select 44 substantive scientometric IS studies for in-depth content analysis. The findings from this review allow us to map an engaging future in scientometric research, especially towards enhancing the IS field's conceptual and theoretical development.

The current stage of development of university libraries requires active participation in the processes of formation and development of an effective system of publication activity of university researchers. the constant collection and monitoring of data on the indicators of authors in Russian and international scientometric systems is an important component of this system. Collecting information and keeping it up-to-date in order to quickly respond to incoming requests along with the ability to output data in various structured formats, are inefficient and time-consuming in case of constant access to platforms and “manual” generation of information.The article presents the stages of creation and development of a software module created and functioning at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and allowing real-time output of structured current and comparative data on scientometric indicators of university teachers and researchers. Particular attention is paid to the prospects for the development of the created complex and the possibilities of data integration, including the earlier implemented synchronization of information with the profiles of teachers on the university website.The program module was created on the basis of database interaction with the API of scientometric resources such as Russian Science Citation Index, Scopus and Web of Science with the goal of further processing and systematization of the data obtained. The authors discuss the results of analyzing scientometric indicators of “Povolzhskaya аrkheologiya” journal acquired to the Web of Sciences, Scopus and RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) databases. To specify the journal position within the archeological periodicals and its possible inclusion into the Web of Science database, the study findings were compared to the analyses results for the Russian authoritative academic journals in the related domains. The rating for selected journals by Scopus and RSCI key scientometrics indicators is built. The journal position in these ratings is discussed. Within the Web of Science system, the indicator of the journal “latent citation” is obtained. The journal dynamics within the databases under examination is demonstrated. The articles published in 2015–2019 are analyzed for their territorial affiliation. Based on the analysis results, the authors determine the journal position in the national and global context and suggest that “Povolzhskaya аrkheologiya” journal has got high starting position if included into the Web of Science.

The paper describes an algorithm for determining the thematic proximity of magazines. The results of its software implementation can be used to solve the following urgent tasks: clasification of the scientometric indicators values in the evaluation of scientific activity; assessment of the main trends in the development of the main scientific areas; determination of the relationships between data in information systems for constructing ontologies and defining safety rules within the framework of the ABAC model; creation of effective and convenient mechanisms for searching for scientific information. A feature of the presented algorithm is the use of the co-authorship graph for constructing the thematic proximity metric and the ability to process magazines in different languages, which is difficult to implement for other thematic analysis algorithms based on the analysis of full-text information. The software implementation of the presented algorithm is used in practice in the scientometric system "ISTINA".

Currently, transition to the electronic presentation of bibliographic information about scientific works has caused an increased interest in scientometric research. At the same time, the existing sci-entometric methods are criticized by scientists, since the incomplete bibliographic base and tools for its assessment do not allow the most accurate assessment of the contribution of scientific work. The problem of the quality of scientometric assessments, as a rule, is based on the study of the data of a certain citation system, which does not include complete information about all publications of the authors contained in other citation systems. Aim. This study is aimed at developing an adaptive ap-proach for the formation of aggregated data of bibliographic information of a scientific organiza-tion in conditions of incomplete information from the citation systems of the RSCI, “Google Aca-demy” and Scopus. Methods. The definition of the aggregated list of publications for the analysis of scientometric indicators was carried out by the Winnowing method, the Levenshtein algorithm, the shingle method and the Jaro–Winkler method. In the framework of the experimental study, the effectiveness of the application of the considered methods for aggregating information from cita-tion systems was assessed based on the analysis of accuracy, completeness and F-measure. Results. Expe¬riments on test data from the list of publications by authors of the Orenburg State University from the citation systems RSCI, Google Academy and Scopus showed that the Winnowing method formed the most accurate lists of publications by the F-measure criterion. To improve the perfor-mance of this algorithm, a two-stage optimization of the aggregation process was carried out, which made it possible to improve the running time of the algorithm when generating a list of bibliographic descriptions. Conclusion. The proposed approach for the formation of aggregated data of biblio-graphic information of a scientific organization in conditions of incomplete information from the ci-tation systems of the Russian Science Citation Index, Google Academy and Scopus allows increas-ing productivity in the formation of a list of authors' publications and shows good efficiency in de-termining the scientometric characteristics of authors.

Presentamos SIGI, un sistema integral de gestión de información para datos de investigación y generación de indicadores métricos automático y con interfaz para la web. SIGI es un sistema de plataforma de información y de base de datos creado para gestionar todos los datos relacionados con la actividad de una institución de enseñanza-investigación, y para generar reportes anuales e indicadores métricos a nivel individual e institucional. Integra datos relacionados a productos bibliográficos académicos tradicionales con otros aspectos de la actividad académica (por ejemplo, relacionados con enseñanza y vinculación). De esta base de datos, SIGI automáticamente genera indicadores métricos utilizados en la creación de perfiles y evaluaciones individuales y en evaluaciones y reportes institucionales. También mostramos dos ejemplos de análisis cienciométricos que pueden ser hechos con este sistema: la red de colaboración interna y el mapa de colaboración internacional de un instituto específico. Concluimos con el ejemplo de la experiencia general del instituto con el sistema y cómo éste podría ser adoptado por otras instituciones, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.

The article explores the concept of inclusive development of regions, emphasizing the study of the formation and maintenance of a stable level of public health in the scientific literature. For bibliographic analysis, complex scientometric databases Scopus and Dimensions were used to analyze a set of publications formed according to specific criteria using the software tool VOSviewer. The visualization method was used to visualize the obtained results. The search in scientometric databases was carried out by the criterion of the title of the publication, the content of its annotation and keywords. The analysis showed that the main research clusters form groups of scientists' publications from the United States, Great Britain, Australia, and Canada. The small number of publications, but their growth dynamics and the increasing number of citations (according to Google Scholar) indicate a lack of study of inclusive growth in the region in the public health management system and the prospects for its exploration by scientists. According to the analysis, the interest of scientists in solving the problem of public health in ensuring regional development increased in 2020-2021. Much of the publications relate to such areas of knowledge as business, management and accounting. The main areas of research on public health in the development of the regions include the provision of medical services, the health care system, social determinants of health, and the population's state of health. Scientific clusters are gradually being formed around these keywords. The obtained results of the bibliographic analysis form the basis for a better understanding of public health issues, the search for gaps, the solution of which should be worked on in further research. Particular attention is paid to the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic as a crisis-forming factor that hinders the movement of regional development in a promising direction and ensuring the resilience of the system. It is substantiated that the health factor is essential in forming a robust human potential of the country and the growth of labor productivity.

The social problem of “Unemployment” has been taken as research topic for the scientometric study. The data has been downloaded from Web of Science and the span of years has been selected from 2008 to 2012. Hypotheses are assumed and appropriate statistical tool has been utilized to the test the hypotheses. The interpretation has been given along with relevant data in tabular form. It was identified that the majority of the communicating format of language in the research output is of English. The journal articles dominated all the other type of publications. The prediction of Alfred Lotka on author productivity was not suitable for this research work.The findings reveal that enormous literatures related to the “Unemployment” are published to alarm the policy makers about the up-coming danger. It is requested the policy makers of the global countries to lay new policies to see the human beings to be employable. It is suggested that the society to raise the standard of their employable skills to be worthy for being employable. It it also suggested to the respective educational authorities towards the revival in the curriculum of the educational system of global countries.

Abstract Scholarly communications have been rapidly integrated into digitized and networked open ecosystems, where preprint servers have played a pivotal role in accelerating the knowledge transfer processes. However, quantitative evidence is scarce regarding how this paradigm shift beyond the traditional journal publication system has affected the dynamics of collective attention on science. To address this issue, we investigate the citation data of more than 1.5 million eprints on arXiv (https://arxiv.org) and analyze the long-term citation trend for each discipline involved. We find that the typical growth and obsolescence patterns vary across disciplines, reflecting different publication and communication practices. The results provide unique evidence of the attention dynamics shaped by the research community today, including the dramatic growth and fast obsolescence of Computer Science eprints, which has not been captured in previous studies relying on the citation data of journal papers. Subsequently, we develop a quantitatively and temporally normalized citation index with an approximately normal distribution, which is useful for comparing citational attention across disciplines and time periods. Further, we derive a stochastic model consistent with the observed quantitative and temporal characteristics of citation growth and obsolescence. The findings and the developed framework open a new avenue for understanding the nature of citation dynamics.

The methods to calculate these indicators in The Map of Russian Science are discussed, along with the procedure for Hirsch index and G-index. The article substantiates the need for methodological reflection for an orderly polydisciplinary study of the digital transformation of scientific communications, based on identifying four possible options for studying the transformation; a possibility to present a system of digital scientific communications (DSC) as an object of complex research and the proposed approach to create its possible model is underlined. A brief outline of the methodological specifics of each of the research clusters describing digital transformation is given: scientometric, sociological, economic, as well as a cluster related to information and communicationtechnologies. Their historical features are briefly described, as well as the most important milestones in the development of the digital transformation of scientific communications. A number of general scientific concepts (platform, network, blog, repository, database) used in digital transformation research are also presented, and their terminological specificity within the studied clusters is indicated. The article also proposes a model of the DSC system, based on the theoretical developments of the studied clusters, primarily - scientometric, sociological and economic ones. The DSC system model would contribute to the development of a holistic, more accurate and complete representation of the digital transformation of the field of research and development, including research activities, the information environment of science and the system of scientific communications.

Natural disasters and human-made disasters are threatening urban areas globally. The resilience capacity of the urban system plays an important role in disaster risk response and recovery. Strengthening urban disaster resilience is also fundamental to ensuring sustainable development. Various practices and research for enhancing urban disaster resilience have been carried out worldwide but are yet to be reviewed. Accordingly, this paper gives a scientometric review of urban disaster resilience research by using CiteSpace. The time span (January 2001–January 2021) was selected and divided into three phases based on the number of publications. In addition, according to keyword statistics and clustering results, the collected articles are grouped into four hotspot topics: disaster risk reduction, specific disaster resilience research, resilience assessment, and combination research. The results show that most of the existing research is in the first two categories, and articles in the second and fourth categories both show a high growth rate and could be further research directions. The review indicates that urban disaster resilience is essential for a city’s sustainable development. Moreover, the findings provide scholars a full picture of the existing urban disaster resilience research which can help them identify promising research directions. The findings can also help urban government officials and policymakers review current urban disaster management strategies and make further improvements.

Yoga is a mind-body exercise. Yogic breathing is a unique method for balancing the autonomic nervous system and influencing psychological and stress-related disorders. Yoga breathing (pranayama) can rapidly bring the mind to the present moment and reduce stress. This article presents the highly cited papers from yoga research output using different scientometric approach both quantitative and qualitative methods. Scientometric data for the study has been collected from Web of Science online database. A search was conducted with the phrase ‘yoga’ in the address field. An analysis of 4090 publications published by scientists during 1989 to 2018 and indexed by Web of Science online Database indicates that the publication output. Most of the prolific authors are from the highly productive institutions. This work is to provide a profile of Research Publication at global level. This includes tracking the number of papers, scatter of papers over journals, and its effect on publication output, authors’ institutional affiliations and authorship patterns.

The construction industry is also captivated with the idea of Industry 4.0 transformation that changes the traditional system into digital and cyber-physical system that interacts and connects across the geographical and organizational borders. However, as construction is commonly known as a low-technologically advanced industry, studies on Industry 4.0 in construction still remains elusive, as compared to other sectors such as manufacturing, electrical and electronic engineering and computer science. Therefore, this study aims to explore the current state of Industry 4.0 application from the construction engineering perspective. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted to identify publications related to Industry 4.0 in construction. A bibliometric analysis has been outlined through exclusion and inclusion principles, while a scientometric analysis has been further applied to enhance the SLR findings through ‘science mapping’ visualization techniques. This study presents the relevance, along with the movement, adoption and adaption of Industry 4.0 in the construction industry that further enables the spark of new ideas, in effort to realize and comprehend the current and future technological transformation in construction.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 that was declared as a pandemic has been the main subject of research all over the world. Especially studies on COVID-19 vaccines has become a hope for everyone. In this study, we aimed to analyse entire literature through Web of Science© Core Collection Database and reveal the current status of COVID-19 vaccine literature. We entered the keywords “COVID-19” and “vaccine” to Web of Science© Core Collection Database on January 20, 2021. Web of Science categories, document types, organizations, funding agencies, authors, journals, countries, languages, study fields, were investigated. A total of 2,765 publications with 24,202 citations times were involved into the study. Majority of the publications were original articles. Immunology, General Internal Medicine and Experimental Medicine Research were the top categories. Top productive Universities were Harvard University, University of California System and University of London. Dhama K. had the highest number of publications followed by Mahase E. and Baric RS. Journal of Biomolecular Structure Dynamics had published the highest number of publications. Majority of the publications were written in English. The United States of America was the most productive country followed by China and India. Research in vaccines is a growing field and is an essential component in the fight against COVID-19. Detailed analyses on vaccine publications may help researchers determine the future perspective.

А high theoretical and methodological level of bibliography and the validity of its object, subject and research methods were ascertained. The main social functions of bibliographic information were determined — namely search, communicative and evaluative. It was indicated that they are projections of the philosophical categories of the General, the Special, and the Individual onto the bibliography. Differences in the definition of the term "bibliometry" by modern specialists, which indicates the need to improve the scientific level of bibliometric studies, were examined. It was proposed to study the co-evolution of bibliography and bibliometry in the aspect of involving the theoretical base of bibliography in determining the social functions of bibliometry. It was found that these are the functions of scientific declaration, structural analysis and scientometric function. In bibliometry, their analogs are search, communication, and evaluation functions, respectively. It was noted that the triad of social functions of bibliometric information should be considered both from theoretical and methodological positions, and in the applied aspect. Their scientific value is undoubted, since a certain set of functions increases the role and status of bibliometry in the system of social communications. The bibliometric profiles of researchers created and accumulated in the international scientometric platforms Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science are tools for the practical use of the public functions of bibliometric information for the needs of science and education. It was concluded that it is advisable to implement a national project to consolidate bibliometric information from the aforementioned scientometric platforms on the basis of the information-analytical system "ibliometrics of Ukrainian Science" created in the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.

Russian scientific organizations rating system introduction at the state level makes the use of scientometric indicators necessary. This article is devoted to the problems of analysis and improving the scientific activities effectiveness of the organization. The aim of this work is to present the bibliometric analysis results of the research activities of the Fiber Optics Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FORC RAS). The assessment of the contribution of the FORC RAS to the development of fiber optics as a scientific field is given. The main scientometric indicators were studied: publication activity, the total number of scientific papers citations and normalized citation, the number of the most highly cited articles, Hirsch indices. The comparison of bibliometric indicators of the FORC RAS with other Russian scientific organizations working in the fiber optics field was carried out. The performed analysis is relevant both to characterize the FORC RAS activities and to choose the library activity direction. The methodological approach is based on the application of mathematical, bibliographic and bibliometric research methods. The analysis was carried out using the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), scientometric databases Web of Science and Scopus, as well as the InCites analytical tool. The relationship between meeting the needs for scientific information of scientists and increasing the efficiency and success of research activities of a scientific organization is shown. The main source of information at the present stage is the access of research organizations to the scientific electronic resources of leading world publishers. In this work, the authors conclude that new forms of library work, consisting in creating your own information resource “Fiber Optics Information System”, which contains both an electronic library of publications in this subject area, and complete information about the work of employees, are very promising.

This article deals with issues of assessing the scientific activity of teams of performers when submitting applications to scientific funds. The purpose of the study is to develop new approaches to the use of scientometric indicators to assess the scientific potential of university teams when submitting applications to scientific foundations. Methodological foundations of the research: a systematic approach (considers science as a social institution in an indissoluble connection with society as a whole), a metasystem approach (considers the results of scientific activity as a metasystem, that is, a system with relatively independent components), a probabilistic-statistical approach (considers research activity as a probabilistic process), qualimetric approach (considers the productivity of scientific activity as a latent variable, reflected by a set of criteria). As a result, the authors proposed: an information model of the relationship between the requirements for a scientific project by the customer, and the level of compliance of the scientific potential of the team of performers and a methodology for assessing the scientific potential of the team of performers when applying for the competition. The information model forms the basis of the developed information system for supporting the project activities of ITMO University, which serves to improve the process and increase the efficiency of preparation of draft applications submitted by the university. The proposed methodology is implemented using scientometric indicators, through software algorithms for automated assessment of scientific potential. In the course of an experimental study, the authors have shown that the proposed approaches correlate with the effectiveness of participation in competitions. The proposed solutions have been successfully integrated into the ITMO University, management system.

When carrying out research works in the economic, political, sociological fields, as well as in the sphere of governance and in management, we widely apply the integral characteristics of a plenty of factors affecting the existence, functioning and further effectiveness of the existence of the object being studied - a social phenomenon, the development and extinction socio-political trends, the existence and stability of specific clusters of economic projects or some large technical projects, etc. Since the influence manifestations of different factors are different, for estimation of their influence complex (vector. To assess the impact, an analysis of expert opinions is carried out, often with multiple redundancy. Such an approach can lead not to an increase in reliability, but to the opposite result, certainly leading to an increase in the cost of preliminary analysis.

An important part of an organisation’s mission is protecting its information assets from inside or outside threats. As the information environment has become more diverse and inclusive, security concern has shifted from information assets resided in the organisation to information assets and networked devices exposed to broader cyberspace, such as cloud or Internet of things environment and mobile Internet. Organisations have to keep up with the knowledge and trends in information security and cyber-security to safeguard their information assets. Knowledge mapping will aid in this sort of knowledge management process. Mandatory standards and government regulations help industries establish best practices in cyber-security. Knowledge mapping and scientometric analysis across disciplines also provide a tracking system to notify researchers and practitioners should the new solutions and technology facilitating threat detection emerge. While various topics in information security and cyber-security have been extensively investigated in academia, identifying salient themes and development trajectories in information security and cyber-security research is relatively unexplored. This study employs scientometric analysis and topic modelling to develop knowledge maps that visualise core concepts associated with information security and cyber-security research over time and across disciplines. With scientometric analysis and knowledge mapping using topic models, this study identifies the commonality, difference, and relationship between information security and cyber-security research domains. This approach could gain insights into how these research areas have evolved and might be improved concerning learning and teaching cyber-security. The proposed approach to developing the knowledge map may be extended to other research areas.

The practice of creating interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary research centers in Russia is caused by the need to implement interdisciplinary projects in accordance with the objectives of the Strategy of scientific and technological development and priority directions of science development in the Russian Federation. However, the development of complex research within a single institution faces a number of problems related to the management of the multidisciplinary center, the system of evaluation of research efficiency in separate divisions of the center, funding of individual research areas, creation of a comfortable psychologicalclimate that promotes the performance and effective completion of interdisciplinary projects, creation of an effective stimulation system, aimed not only at increasing the publication activity of researchers, but also to produce world-class results that require in-depth, focused work. The problems of creating an effective management system focused on ensuring maximum creative freedom of a scientist and reducing bureaucratic pressure on a researcher and creating a comfortable psychological climate in an interdisciplinary research center depend mainly on the head of the organization and his management apparatus. The development of scientometric system of comparative rating of the effectiveness of scientific teams within separated units, the creation of a differentiated system of motivation of scientists, aimed not only at increasing the publication activity, but also to obtain breakthrough scientific results requires the involvement of a serious scientific approach, despite the fact that scientometric research is not among the prestigious and attractive scientific directions, but at the same time it causes a high critical reaction from officials and scientists of all scientific fields.

By the early 2018, within the higher education system of the Russian federation (over 500 state higher education institutions), three university clusters have been formed, namely: the federal state universities (FSU), national research universities (NRU), and RBUs, Russian backbone universities (higher education institutions) The scientific performance of 33 RBUs is analyzed based on the set of scientometric indicators (Hirsch index, publishing activity, citation, etc.) (as of the early 2018). The assessment is accomplished based on the number of the faculty staff of the universities and the data on publications and citation as presented in RSCI databases. Based on the study findings, the RBU rating register is compiled, the relevance leaders are revealed. The author emphasizes that the leaders make about one third of the whole number of RBUs while the FSU and NRU leaders make up to one half of their corresponding cluster. Comparative analysis of scientific performance maximum values for the three clusters is accomplished. The RBUs that need to energize research and publications and to increase scientometric indicators and scientific performance are specified.

Abstract Objective The Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) is 1 of the most successful, collaborative efforts of terminology resource development in biomedicine. The present study aims to 1) survey historical footprints, emerging technologies, and the existing challenges in the use of UMLS resources and tools, and 2) present potential future directions. Materials and Methods We collected 10 469 bibliographic records published between 1986 and 2019, using a Web of Science database. graph analysis, data visualization, and text mining to analyze domain-level citations, subject categories, keyword co-occurrence and bursts, document co-citation networks, and landmark papers. Results The findings show that the development of UMLS resources and tools have been led by interdisciplinary collaboration among medicine, biology, and computer science. Efforts encompassing multiple disciplines, such as medical informatics, biochemical sciences, and genetics, were the driving forces behind the domain’s growth. The following topics were found to be the dominant research themes from the early phases to mid-phases: 1) development and extension of ontologies and 2) enhancing the integrity and accessibility of these resources. Knowledge discovery using machine learning and natural language processing and applications in broader contexts such as drug safety surveillance have recently been receiving increasing attention. Discussion Our analysis confirms that while reaching its scientific maturity, UMLS research aims to boundary-span to more variety in the biomedical context. We also made some recommendations for editorship and authorship in the domain. Conclusion The present study provides a systematic approach to map the intellectual growth of science, as well as a self-explanatory bibliometric profile of the published UMLS literature. It also suggests potential future directions. Using the findings of this study, the scientific community can better align the studies within the emerging agenda and current challenges.
