Background and aim. There is a competition between scientific journals in order to achieve leadership in their scientific field. There are several Romanian biomedical journals which are published in English and a smaller number in Romanian. We need a periodical analysis of their visibility and ranking according to scientometric measures.Methods. We searched all biomedical journals indexed on international data bases: Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Google Scholar. We analyzed their evaluation factors.Results. Several journals from Romania in the biomedical field are indexed in international databases. Their scientometric indexes are not high. The best journal was acquired by an international publisher and is no longer listed for Romania.Conclusions. There are several Romanian biomedical journals indexed in international databases that deserve periodical analysis. There is a need to improve their ranking.

As urbanization continues to accelerate, the number of cities and their growing populations have created problems, such as the congestion and noise related to transportation, the pollution from industry, and the difficulty of disposing of garbage. An emerging urban strategy is to make use of digital technologies and big data to help improve the quality of life of urban residents. In the past decade, more and more researchers have studied smart cities, and the number of literature in this field grows rapidly, making it “big data”. With the aim of better understanding the contexts of smart-city research, including the distribution of topics, knowledge bases, and the research frontiers in the field, this paper is based on the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) in the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection, and the method used is that of comprehensive scientometric analysis and knowledge mapping in terms of diversity, time slicing, and dynamics, using VOSviewer and CiteSpace to study the literature in the field. The main research topics can be divided into three areas—“the concepts and elements of the smart city”, “the smart city and the Internet of Things”, and “the smart city of the future”—through document co-citation analysis. There are four key directions—“research objectives and development-strategy research”, “technical-support research”, “data-processing and applied research”, and “management and applied research”—analyzed using keywords co-occurrence. Finally, the research frontiers are urban-development, sustainable cities, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, integration, undertaken through keyword co-occurrence analysis.

Compliance of studies with the priority directions of scientific development in the country is an important factor in realizing the research potential of scholars. The article analyzes the directions of scientific research held in the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (UB RAS) organizations and their interdisciplinary interactions in the context of RF priority areas of science and technology development. The research bases on the content analysis of strategic documents at the national and federal levels, programs for the development of the scientific sphere (Forecast of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030) and the analysis of scientific activities of the institutes of the Ural Branch based on scientometric data (Scopus).It is revealed that the leading research directions of Ural scientists enter scientific fields, which, due to the Forecast, are promising for science and technology development. These areas include “Materials Science”, “Biochemistry and Molecular Biology”, “Medicine”, “Immunology and Microbiology”, “Pharmacology, Toxicology, Pharmacy”, “Energy”.Fundamental scientific fields, not dir ectly reflected in the key areas of science and technology development, contribute to their development through the established interdisciplinary ties. They include “Physics and Astronomy”, “Chemistry”, “Engineering”, “Mathematics” and others. Researches on interdisciplinary problems have greater potential for international cooperation.

Abstract A network is a set of nodes connected via edges, with possibly directions and weights on the edges. Sometimes, in a multi-layer network, the nodes can also be heterogeneous. In this perspective, based on previous studies, we argue that networks can be regarded as the infrastructure of scientometrics in the sense that networks can be used to represent scientometric data. Then the task of answering various scientometric questions related to this data becomes an algorithmic problem in the corresponding network.

The main objective of the research was to prospect the state of the art in the management of innovation and port governance in order to identify models and practices in the different ports around the world, through the international scientific bases Web of Science and Scopus, which allowed the exploratory study. More specifically, we sought to raise the level of development in the field of scientific production in the areas of innovation management and port governance. Scientometric methods were applied to prepare graphs that reflect the treatment of data and information generated from selected publications, as well as the search in the patent database of the National Institute of Industrial Property – INPI. In general, a gap in scientific production related to the researched field of knowledge was evidenced, which may be associated with the low level of port innovations which, therefore, may also reverberate in the search for patent protection. Thus, it is recommended that scientific productions be encouraged to support innovations in the port sector, in addition to incremental innovations, playing a prominent role in the collaborative action of agents in the port cluster and scientific, technological and innovation institutions (ICTs).

Until recently, comprehensive scientometrics data has been made available only in siloed, subscription-based tools that are inaccessible to researchers who lack institutional support and resources. As a result of limited data access, research evaluation practices have focused upon basic indicators that only take publications and their citation rates into account. This has blocked innovation on many fronts. Dimensions is a database that links and contextualizes different research information objects. It brings together data describing and linking awarded grants, clinical trials, patents, and policy documents, as well as altmetric information, alongside traditional publications and citations data. This article describes the approach that Digital Science is taking to support the scientometric community, together with the various Dimensions tools available to researchers who wish to use Dimensions data in their research at no cost.

Topical issues concerning the low efficiency of underground coal mining from thin and very thin seams as well as the problems of reserves left in mine fields by the closed-down enterprises resulting in substantial coal reserve losses have been highlighted. Alternative use of the unextracted energy resources is their physical and chemical transformation with the change in aggregate state including the possibility to generate valuable chemical and energy products capable of substituting certain share of natural gas being imported. Attention has been paid to budget reallocation in the process of coal enterprise restructuring to invest the projects of nontraditional techniques aimed at physical and chemical coal transformation; among other things, it concerns in-place construction of energy generating enterprises for underground coal gasification. Results of the studies concerning the analysis of the world 50-year interest in the techniques of gasification and hydrate formation explained and described in the top scientific journals being among those added to such scientometric data bases as Scopus and Web of Science; they confirm the expediency of the scientific tendency development in Ukraine. Innovative conversion scheme for solid fuel has been proposed; the scheme involves the integrated use of the generated energy and chemical products in the process of in-place coal gasification. Development of systems to gasify, cogenerate, and form hydrates at the territory of coal mines will make it possible to process coal in place with energy, heat energy, and chemical raw material generation depending upon the situation in energy market and chemical market.

Background.Exposure to ionizing radiation could affect the brain and eyes leading to cognitive and vision impairment, behavior disorders and performance decrement during professional irradiation at medical radiology, including interventional radiological procedures, long-term space flights, and radiation accidents. Objective. The objective was to analyze the current experimental, epidemiological, and clinical data on the radiation cerebro-ophthalmic effects. Materials and methods. In our analytical review peer-reviewed publications via the bibliographic and scientometric bases PubMed / MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, and selected papers from the library catalog of NRCRM – the leading institution in the field of studying the medical effects of ionizing radiation – were used. Results. The probable radiation-induced cerebro-ophthalmic effects in human adults comprise radiation cataracts, radiation glaucoma, radiation-induced optic neuropathy, retinopathies, angiopathies as well as specific neurocognitive deficit in the various neuropsychiatric pathology including cerebrovascular pathology and neurodegenerative diseases. Specific attention is paid to the likely stochastic nature of many of those effects. Those prenatally and in childhood exposed are a particular target group with a higher risk for possible radiation effects and neurodegenerative diseases. Conclusions. The experimental, clinical, epidemiological, anatomical and pathophysiological rationale for visual system and central nervous system (CNS) radiosensitivity is given. The necessity for further international studies with adequate dosimetric support and the follow-up medical and biophysical monitoring of high radiation risk cohorts is justified. The first part of the study currently being published presents the results of the study of the effects of irradiation in the participants of emergency works at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (ChNPP). Relevance. Substitution of bone defects in destructive periodontitis is one of the most difficult tasks of maxillofacial surgery. Today, tissue engineering, which makes up the classical triad: biomaterials + cells + growth factors, is the most effective and technologically promising for restoring the parameters and structure of the alveolar bone. Objective. The goal is to summarize of literature data on the possibilities of using modified scaffold materials, bone morphogenetic proteins, growth factors in tissue engineering in the replacement of jaw bone defects. Materials and methods.Scientific literature search was carry out using scientometric bases such as Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, RSCI during 18 years (2001-2018). The literature sources on the possibility of using osteoinductive and osteoconductive materials in dentistry is analyzed. Also the data on the possibility and prospects of using individual osteoregenerative drugs for periodontal diseases and for the elimination of jaw defects was analyzed. The characteristics of the composition, properties, manufacturing methods and mechanism of action of osteoplastic materials was analyzed. Results. Advantages of osteoreparative technologies using scaffolds are their sufficient hydrophilicity, the possibility of complete biocompatibility, biodegradation of the material without any toxic effects on the patient’s body, the possibility of penetration into the cell structure and different molecular sizes (including those stimulating angiogenesis), maintaining the required volume, the possibility of programming the composition and properties at the manufacturing stage and the like. Tissue-engineering constructs have shown their high mechanical and biological properties for osteogenic differentiation and cell replacement. In addition, it is possible to expand operational protocols depending on the specific anatomical and physiological conditions in each patient. Conclusion. The use of modified scaffold materials, bone morphogenetic proteins, growth factors in tissue engineering allows us to restore the structure and volume when replacing defects in the bone tissue of the jaw. Tissue engineering (matrices, growth factors, cells) is becoming an attractive clinical approach for bone regeneration.

Resumo: A Ciência do Solo seguiu um longo caminho na sua evolução de uma disciplina com fortes raízes na Geologia para uma área com forte aplicação agrícola e ambiental e, nas últimas décadas, viveu uma situação de grande incerteza: em todo o mundo houve queda de investimentos na área, com consequente redução do interesse do governo e da sociedade pelos solos e pela agricultura. No entanto, identifica-se atualmente um novo período de interesse e de crescimento da área de solos com foco em questões de agricultura, segurança alimentar, produção de fibras e energia renovável, além dos serviços ambientais. Tendo em vista essa percepção de renascimento da disciplina, esta tese tem como objetivo principal analisar a dinâmica da atividade científica da área em uma região específica (América Latina), através do tratamento cientométrico em registros indexados na base de dados Scopus, contribuindo para as atividades de investigação científica e tecnológica e aportando indicadores para o estudo da produção, colaboração científica e impacto nesta disciplina. No estudo foram recuperados, através de processo de delimitação da área na base Scopus, registros relativos ao período de 1999-2010, 1983-2012 e 1975-2009 que, após tratamento bibliométrico, geraram indicadores que permitiram caracterizar a evolução temporal da produção de artigos científicos, a contribuição por área temática, países, instituições e suas relações através da co-autoria. O estudo aponta para uma disciplina consolidada e que vem ganhando espaço no cenário internacional com contribuição científica relevante para os desafios globais. Contudo, a dinâmica da área está concentrada nas principais economias da região, o que explicita a urgência do estabelecimento de políticas visando à solução de gargalos como integração regional e o fortalecimento dos países que apresentaram atividade científica débil
Abstract: The Soil Sciences have trailed a long path in its evolution from a discipline with strong roots in geology to an area with strong environmental and agricultural applications and, in recent decades, it has experienced a situation of great uncertainty: worldwide there has been a significant decrease of investments in the area reflecting a reduction of governmental interest in soils and agriculture. A new period of growth and interest in the area of soils, however, can be clearly identified. One that is focused on questions relating to agriculture, food security, fiber production and renewable energy, in addition to environmental services. With this revival of the discipline in mind, this thesis seeks mainly to analyze the dynamics of the area's scientific activity in a specific region (Latin America) through the scientometric treatment of records indexed in the Scopus database, contributing to scientific and technological research and providing support to indicators for the study of production, scientific collaboration and impact in this discipline. Though the process of delimitation of the area in the Scopus database, this study retrieved records for the period 1999-2010, 1983-2012 and 1975-2009, which, after bibliometric treatment, generated indicators that enabled the characterization of the temporal evolution of scientific article production, the contribution by subject area, country, institution and their relationships through co-authoring. The study points to a consolidated discipline that has been gaining ground in the international arena with important scientific contributions to global challenges. The dynamics of the area, however, are concentrated in the major economies of the region. This makes urgent the establishment of policies aimed at solving bottleneck, such as regional integration and the strengthening of countries with weak scientific activity

Анотація. У статті представлені результати бібліометричного дослідження наукових видань, в яких публікуються автори-НПП НУК ім. адм. Макарова (за даними наукометричної бази даних Scopus), спрямованого на оцінювання результатів наукової діяльності. Отримані результати можна використовувати для подальшого підвищення публікаційної активності як авторів, так і університету в цілому.
Abstract. The article presents the results of bibliometric research of scientific resources in which Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding scientists publish (based on Scopus data), conducted in order to evaluate the results of scientific activity. The results can be used to further increase the publication activity of authors as well as the university as a whole.

Today, the scientific and technological sphere has become the main arena of competition between countries in the world, and the use of new technologies, especially in the field of armaments, is considered as one of the most important levers of geopolitics. Such technologies are a key for expanding the capabilities of the state's defense capabilities and achieving national security goals, priory to military and military-economic, as well as scientific and technological security. Today, the identification of scientific and technological key areas of military development is used to determine the priorities of scientific and technological development and military-technical policy which is crucial for the process of creating promising models of armaments and military equipment. The introduction of the latest technologies in the military is difficult to imagine without the use of computer and other telecommunications equipment, artificial intelligence technology, military robotics, quantum and space technology, 3D printing and biotechnology. Although they all are already used in the military and security spheres, still monitoring innovation and new technologies in the military are important for understanding not only future wars, but also global security. This study reviews global technological trends based on the analysis of publications of foreign consulting agencies, international organizations and forecasting and analytical research conducted by the author's methodology. The data upon perspective directions of development of scientific and technological researches in the military sphere on the basis of the analysis of publishing activity of a DB of Web of Science and a DB of patents of Derwent Innovations is provided. In particular, the range of new directions of technological development of the military sphere has been expanded and clarified not only in general, but also specified by types and kinds of troops. This analysis allowed us to determine that the areas of development claimed by international organizations and consulting agencies correlate with the areas identified by the authors of the study on the basis of scientometric and patent analysis. At the same time, the forecasted promising areas of research, determined by scientometric analysis of Web of Science publications, more or less completely coincide with the forecasts of NATO, RAND Corporation.

The monograph reflects the problems of Russian psycholinguistics from the moment of its inception in Russia to the present day and presents its main directions that are currently developing. In addition, theoretical developments and practical results obtained in the framework of different directions and research centers are described in a concise form. The task of the book is to reflect, as far as it is possible in one edition, firstly, the history of the formation of Russian psycholinguistics; secondly, its methodology and developed methods; thirdly, the results obtained in different research centers and directions in different regions of Russia; fourthly, to outline the main directions of the further development of Russian psycholinguistics. There is no doubt that in the theoretical, methodological and applied aspects, the main problems and the results of their development by Russian psycholinguistics have no analogues in world linguistics and psycholinguistics, or are represented by completely original concepts and methods. We have tried to show this uniqueness of the problematics and the methodological equipment of Russian psycholinguistics in this book. The main role in the formation of Russian psycholinguistics was played by the Moscow psycholinguistic school of A.A. Leontyev. It still defines the main directions of Russian psycholinguistics. Russian psycholinguistics (the theory of speech activity - TSA) is based on the achievements of Russian psychology: a cultural-historical approach to the analysis of mental phenomena L.S. Vygotsky and the system-activity approach of A.N. Leontyev. Moscow is the most "psycholinguistic region" of Russia - INL RAS, Moscow State University, Moscow State Linguistic University, RUDN, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Sechenov University, Moscow State University and other Moscow universities. Saint Petersburg psycholinguists have significant achievements, especially in the study of neurolinguistic problems, ontolinguistics. The most important feature of Russian psycholinguistics is the widespread development of psycholinguistics in the regions, the emergence of recognized psycholinguistic research centers - St. Petersburg, Tver, Saratov, Perm, Ufa, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Kursk, Chelyabinsk; psycholinguistics is represented in Cherepovets, Ivanovo, Volgograd, Vyatka, Kaluga, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, Abakan, Maikop, Barnaul, Ulan-Ude, Yakutsk, Syktyvkar, Armavir and other cities; in Belarus - Minsk, in Ukraine - Lvov, Chernivtsi, Kharkov, in the DPR - Donetsk, in Kazakhstan - Alma-Ata, Chimkent. Our researchers work in Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, China, France, Switzerland. There are Russian psycholinguists in Canada, USA, Israel, Austria and a number of other countries. All scientists from these regions and countries have contributed to the development of Russian psycholinguistics, to the development of psycholinguistic theory and methods of psycholinguistic research. Their participation has not been forgotten. We tried to present the main Russian psycholinguists in the Appendix - in the sections "Scientometrics", "Monographs and Manuals" and "Dissertations", even if there is no information about them in the Electronic Library and RSCI. The principles of including scientists in the scientometric list are presented in the Appendix. Our analysis of the content of the resulting monograph on psycholinguistic research in Russia allows us to draw preliminary conclusions about some of the distinctive features of Russian psycholinguistics: 1. cultural-historical approach to the analysis of mental phenomena of L.S.Vygotsky and the system-activity approach of A.N. Leontiev as methodological basis of Russian psycholinguistics; 2. theoretical nature of psycholinguistic research as a characteristic feature of Russian psycholinguistics. Our psycholinguistics has always built a general theory of the generation and perception of speech, mental vocabulary, linked specific research with the problems of ontogenesis, the relationship between language and thinking; 3. psycholinguistic studies of speech communication as an important subject of psycholinguistics; 4. attention to the psycholinguistic analysis of the text and the development of methods for such analysis; 5. active research into the ontogenesis of linguistic ability; 6. investigation of linguistic consciousness as one of the important subjects of psycholinguistics; 7. understanding the need to create associative dictionaries of different types as the most important practical task of psycholinguistics; 8. widespread use of psycholinguistic methods for applied purposes, active development of applied psycholinguistics. The review of the main directions of development of Russian psycholinguistics, carried out in this monograph, clearly shows that the direction associated with the study of linguistic consciousness is currently being most intensively developed in modern Russian psycholinguistics. As the practice of many years of psycholinguistic research in our country shows, the subject of study of psycholinguists is precisely linguistic consciousness - this is a part of human consciousness that is responsible for generating, understanding speech and keeping language in consciousness. Associative experiments are the core of most psycholinguistic techniques and are important both theoretically and practically. The following main areas of practical application of the results of associative experiments can be outlined. 1. Education. Associative experiments are the basis for constructing Mind Maps, one of the most promising tools for systematizing knowledge, assessing the quality, volume and nature of declarative knowledge (and using special techniques and skills). Methods based on smart maps are already widely used in teaching foreign languages, fast and deep immersion in various subject areas. 2. Information search, search optimization. The results of associative experiments can significantly improve the quality of information retrieval, its efficiency, as well as adaptability for a specific person (social group). When promoting sites (promoting them in search results), an associative experiment allows you to increase and improve the quality of the audience reached. 3. Translation studies, translation automation. An associative experiment can significantly improve the quality of translation, take into account intercultural and other social characteristics of native speakers. 4. Computational linguistics and automatic word processing. The results of associative experiments make it possible to reveal the features of a person's linguistic consciousness and contribute to the development of automatic text processing systems in a wide range of applications of natural language interfaces of computer programs and robotic solutions. 5. Advertising. The use of data on associations for specific words, slogans and texts allows you to predict and improve advertising texts. 6. Social relationships. The analysis of texts using the data of associative experiments makes it possible to assess the tonality of messages (negative / positive moods, aggression and other characteristics) based on user comments on the Internet and social networks, in the press in various projections (by individuals, events, organizations, etc.) from various social angles, to diagnose the formation of extremist ideas. 7. Content control and protection of personal data. Associative experiments improve the quality of content detection and filtering by identifying associative fields in areas subject to age restrictions, personal information, tobacco and alcohol advertising, incitement to ethnic hatred, etc. 8. Gender and individual differences. The data of associative experiments can be used to compare the reactions (and, in general, other features of thinking) between men and women, different social and age groups, representatives of different regions. The directions for the further development of Russian psycholinguistics from the standpoint of the current state of psycholinguistic science in the country are seen by us, first of all:  in the development of research in various areas of linguistic consciousness, which will contribute to the development of an important concept of speech as a verbal model of non-linguistic consciousness, in which knowledge revealed by social practice and assigned by each member of society during its inculturation is consolidated for society and on its behalf;  in the expansion of the problematics, which is formed under the influence of the growing intercultural communication in the world community, which inevitably involves the speech behavior of natural and artificial bilinguals in the new object area of psycholinguistics;  in using the capabilities of national linguistic corpora in the interests of researchers studying the functioning of non-linguistic and linguistic consciousness in speech processes;  in expanding research on the semantic perception of multimodal texts, the scope of which has greatly expanded in connection with the spread of the Internet as a means of communication in the life of modern society;  in the inclusion of the problems of professional communication and professional activity in the object area of psycholinguistics in connection with the introduction of information technologies into public practice, entailing the emergence of new professions and new features of the professional ethos;  in the further development of the theory of the mental lexicon (identifying the role of different types of knowledge in its formation and functioning, the role of the word as a unit of the mental lexicon in the formation of the image of the world, as well as the role of the natural / internal metalanguage and its specificity in speech activity);  in the broad development of associative lexicography, which will meet the most diverse needs of society and cognitive sciences. The development of associative lexicography may lead to the emergence of such disciplines as associative typology, associative variantology, associative axiology;  in expanding the spheres of applied use of psycholinguistics in social sciences, sociology, semasiology, lexicography, in the study of the brain, linguodidactics, medicine, etc. This book is a kind of summarizing result of the development of Russian psycholinguistics today. Each section provides a bibliography of studies on the relevant issue. The Appendix contains the scientometrics of leading Russian psycholinguists, basic monographs, psycholinguistic textbooks and dissertations defended in psycholinguistics. The content of the publications presented here is convincing evidence of the relevance of psycholinguistic topics and the effectiveness of the development of psycholinguistic problems in Russia.

Nephrology is the adult and pediatric study of the kidneys and associated diseases. This chapter deals with the research productivity on Nephrology. Since the study is based on scientometric approach, the data has been retrieved from Web of Science database. The objectives of the study are: to identify the growth rate of research productivity, to trace the types of documents in Nephrology, to know the authorship pattern and language wise classification, and to find out the institution and geographical area wise distributions. Software packages such as Histcite and VOSviewer have effectively been used to analyze the data. In addition, various scientometric tools were also applied. As far as the contribution is concerned, the USA leads other parts of the world in Nephrology. English language dominates the globe in terms of publications.

This chapter creates the scientometric profile of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) for the period from 1973 to 2016. The scientific productivity of the scientists is analyzed using scientometric indicators based on the data retrieved from the Scopus database. The analysis revealed that linear growth is prevailing. It also shows that the scientists are actively involved in disseminating their research findings in scholarly journals and G.V. Rao secured first position among the top-ranking authors. The Indian Institute of Science is the leading collaborating institution with VSSC and the United States is topmost collaborating country. Most of the scholarly communications of VSSC are published in the ‘Journal of Sound & Vibration' and a majority of the records are of an article type. Most of the articles are published in the inter-disciplinary subject of Engineering. The study also found that the total number of citations received by the documents published from VSSC are 17395 and out of the 1783 documents published and 1385 documents received citations.

The article deals with the issues related to the scientometric indexing of the net resources of the group of language teachers and scientists. A detailed accounting of all types of publications allows us to obtain initial information about the level of their Internet engagement. The analysis was carried out including a wide range of genres of publications, the structure of publications, the format and language of publications, the corpus of academic subjects, the language aspects of the publications under study, the composition of the authors of publications, based on their position. The authors’ use of wide opportunities to present their developments on various Internet resources provides them with the opportunity to be detected by search systems based on artificial intelligence (AI) as well as Big Data techniques and to be most fully characterized by existing and prospective scientometric systems.

Studying the communication pattern of scientific information produced as a result of academic and industrial research using mapping techniques is part of scientometric studies. In this chapter, the bibliographic data related to computer forensics retrieved from SCOPUS is subjected to mapping and visualizing. The results showed that the computer forensics literature grows exponentially. USA ranks first among the countries contributing to the literature growth. The University of South Australia is top ranking institution and K.K.R. Choo is the top-ranking author. Conference proceedings are the dominant form of communication flow. The scientograph of keywords reveals six clusters and the keywords with high frequency of occurrences are computer crime, security of data, network security, electronic crime countermeasures, digital forensic, internet, cryptography, cloud computing, cyber security, malware, and intrusion detection.

Recently, one of the inventive developments penetrating many industries is blockchain technology. In the era of globalization and digitalization, blockchain has garnered interest in various application fields from health data management to clinical trials. In this study, we aimed to explore blockchain applications in healthcare with an explorative perspective with a scientometrics analysis. With this analysis, the trends and evolutionary relations between health and blockchain technology were examined via the queries in the Web of Science database. In the analysis, the author keyword co-occurrences were used for demonstrating concept relationships. To understand the new emerging study field, VosViewer was used for network visualizations and CiteSpace free java-based software was used for scientometrics analysis. As a result, it can be implied that the main focus areas of the studies on blockchain are solving payment systems, digital identity, and privacy and security issues in healthcare field.

Domain visualization, an emerging field of study is used to map the growing domain structure of scientific disciplines. Scientometrics is a distinct discipline that has emerged from citation based domain visualization. Visualization with the aid of science maps enables visual comprehension. Science maps can be effectively created with the help of computer algorithms. Bibliographic databases are also available freely over the internet. The various computer algorithms and bibliographic databases are discussed. Some of the different bibliometric indicators are also briefly explained. A mapping study of forensic odontology literature for a five year period of 2009 to 2013 is done using two bibliometric databases, viz., PubMed and Google Scholar, which are freely available. MS-Excel spreadsheets and Publish or Perish (PoP) software are used for data analysis. Co-word maps are also created using VOSviewer to visualize the sub-fields of forensic odontology.

Abstract: The brief analysis of the application of publication activity indicators of scientific and educational organizations in the field of occupational health based on the first stage of a multi-level study of scientometric data of the RSCI system. The ranking of these organizations by indicators of publication activity was carried out, and the shares of their contribution to the overall indicators of scientific and educational direction were determined. It was found that, despite the predominance of the number of authors and the number of publications, medical universities are significantly inferior to research organizations in terms of the average number of publications per author, i.e. in terms of the scientific performance of employees. The quantitative advantage in publications is due to the versatility of universities, which requires analyzing the topics of the publications themselves. This is the task of the next stages of the study.

The aim of this paper is to define the architecture of the information analysis towards a proposal of methodology on systematic information analysis. First, the author shows the dimensions that state the architecture of information management. Second, the work explores the concept of indicator, as the measurement of the relation between data, and presents the results of a theoretical study of the scales that determine the analytical procedure of information from a systematic perspective. Third, the hierarchical architecture of indicators is reviewed from the literature taking the classification of scientometrics indicators as reference standard to its projection on extended metrics of information. The paper suggests from the review that the analytical progress of sequential application of indicators, based in a hierarchical architecture: (1) is the main guarantee to ensure a methodological systematisation of analytical procedure; (2) may be defined as the systematic order of intellection: (3) and allows a rigorous, integral and exhaustive information management in organisations.

The social significance and quality of scientific research largely depend on the usefulness of research results for the social and scientific community. The lack of funds and the desire to allocate funding to high-quality research projects make the assessment of the quality of research and the valorization of knowledge increasingly important. However, it is very difficult to apply criteria that can objectively assess scientific research, providing precise qualitative and quantitative data on which funding agencies could base their decisions. The product of scientific research is mainly information published in scientific journals. They are the basis for the dissemination of knowledge and the basic criteria for academic and scientific evaluation, fundraising for scientific research and career advancement. In addition to the evaluation of scientific publications, there is a wide range of other activities that reflect the scientific credibility of scientists, such as: number and quality of grants for scientific research projects, leadership in national or international academic societies, membership in editorial boards of reputable journals, doctoral dissertation mentorships and the like. Although these activities are important and give credibility to the scientist, the relevant scientometric systems cover only publications, neglecting other criteria of scientific importance in evaluation for purpose of academic advancement of a scientist, as well as competitions for grants for financial support of scientific research. The reason for this is the fact that these activities, regardless of their importance, are very heterogeneous, with specific characteristics, and require very diverse parameters for evaluation. Therefore, there are no universal evaluation criteria for these activities and their quality is generally assessed individually, depending on the purpose of the assessment. Regardless of the shortcomings, university ranking systems are important comparative parameters for assessing the quality of scientific and educational value of universities.
