Kherrati, Odette. "Une littérature de l'exil : les romanciers marocains de langue française." Bordeaux 3, 1988. http://www.theses.fr/1988BOR30055.
Повний текст джерелаThe works of moroccan writers of the "souffles" generation (19661983) seem marked by the brand of exile, an interior suffering which carries the individual back and forth between the "here" and "there" as well as through the "time". The poet's exile joins that of his multi-faced society, which suffers like he the uprooting, loneliness, exclusion or reclusion. Among the substitutes, writing, because of its roots and its dedication, transcends the renting, while trying to break the yoke, thanks to its distant position, thus offering the way to an all encompassing liberation

Повний текст джерелаThe aim of this thesis is to present a rather complete study of Abdelhak Serhane’s novel Les Temps noirs, in order to highlight its literary aesthetic. After contextualizing the Maghrebi literature of French expression, the research is prolonged by a literary analysis of Les Temps noirs, then by a study of the Arab-French hybridity which underlies the literary writing of the Moroccan novelist. Finally, it is to the analysis of Les Temps noirs’s translation in arabic that this research work is dedicated, in order to study the passage of figures of hybridity in the text translated by the author of this thesis while relying on the theoretical and critical contribution of Antoine Berman

Повний текст джерелаFemale creation in Morocco, just like the woman's place in society in general, is still lagging behind what it should be. Though responsible for education and learning, women aren't recognized for what they're worth when it comes to culture. In the sphere of literature which is the object of this study -, women's writing is scarcely beginning to make itself known. In the past decade, female creation has developed noticeably, especially as far as French-language literature is concerned. This study endeavours to bring out the daily preoccupations of the Moroccan woman through the fiction modest as it may be - of Houria Boussejra, Nadia Chafik and Fatima Mernissi. It is the very nature of their writing that accounts for the choice of those three novelists. All of them express, to some extent, the will to free themselves from daily concerns by putting forward a "discourse and writing of the self". In H. Boussejra's work this search for the self turns into that of the bodyʺ, in N. Chafik's into a "voice", whereas in F. Mernissi's fiction it becomes a "space"

Повний текст джерела@In this study, my aim was to find out wether the Moroccan literature in French, in its whole, refers to a specific imaginary animal, vegetal and mineral world. My first part points out a prolific use of quotations, reflecting a polycultural heritage : Muslim tradition as well as the influence of French school, the anteislamic poetry and the ancient mythology. The quotations are also noticeable in a great number of clichés. The importance of orality is revealed through quotations of tales, folksongs, and a great number of proverbs and traditional insults throughout the corpus. In a second part I studied the descriptive methods of the writers, concerning landscapes, animals or plants. They sometimes develop in comparisons and in lists whose purpose is to catalogue the natural world. I then analysed the interpersonal relationship linking the writers to nature. Its attractive power is to be seen in friendship, sexuality, dreams, ecological awareness, as well as in stylistic choices. On the other hand, a repulsive power is to be found in the descriptions of a threatening natural world, while the characters become aggressive towards nature ; nightmares, visions of horror and death also belong to this negative aspect of relationships. Finally I studied the immanence of supernatural forces and the sacred in this literature, which appears through superstitions, sacrificial scenes, sacred trees, the myths of Mother Earth, as well as in exemples of identification between man and nature and anthropomorphism. It seems to me that the very Moroccan culture reveals itself through the imaginary animal, vegetal and mineral world of its writers. It is worth noticing that those who best illustrate this study are mainly the best known of them

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis turns mainly round the theme of social environment and literary creation. Our interest was to study the literary works mainly at three levels, namely : at the levels of causes and consequences of the duality of the way of life which governs the contemporary african society and at the level of narratology. The study of the first encounter between africans and europeans and the infiltration of the african society by the cultural values of the western society through the new school and the church shows similarity between fiction and reality. The social environment plays the role of a catalyst concerning the imagination of each novelist. The study of the problem of the political power reveals the new leaders' individualistic behaviour in the negative sens. Their insatiable craving for power and richness makes them brutal towards their fellow countrymen. The other major preoccupation of the novelists centres around the economic, linguistic and socio-cultural consequences brought about by the duality of the way of life. And if the novelists have as common denominator the borrowing of constructing materials from the social environment, the study has shown that each novelist has his own way of using these materials. It is especially the study of narratology which has revealed the particularity of each novelist's literary practice. In short, each novelist has his own way of creating a literary work

Повний текст джерелаYoung people are privileged characters in black african novels : they are dynamic elements and central figures in a great number of narratives. After trying to define their interest from the viewpoint of the novelists. My study investigates the whole range of qualities they are endowed with in order to meet the readers' expectations and specifically fit the essential parts of accusing heralds and messianic heroes they are often made to play. Examining the opinions and the behavior of various types of young people in relation to the situations and problems dealt with in novels shows that the young, and especially the progressists, represent the conscience and the hopes of the people on whose behalf and for whom they speak and act. Through their words, their actions and the predominant viewpoint they are constantly made to voice, they definitely appear as the announcers or the vectors of the novelist's ideological vision

Повний текст джерелаStudies on Driss Chraïbi work are numerous, but in most cases, they are all about the theme of rebellion which in his early novels. None of them has tried to stress this writer's dialogue with the readers in his society of origin or the originality of the texts in his later novels. This is what we have tried to do in this research which is made up of two parts: a critical reception of Driss Chraïbi and his writing, his language and ideology. The first part is a systematic study aiming to determine Chraïbi 's place among the maghrebin writers in the Moroccan environment, and also the expectations and aspirations of potential readers. The second part ios an analysis through the linguistic substratum of the mother tongue, irony, parody, the writer's ideology and that or those of his characters, and their relationships with power, Islam, tradition and modernity

Повний текст джерелаFrench literature outside France is pretty well known, particularly through Aimé Césaire's work. This martinican writer is the most important in the Antilles. Before him, poets and novelists tried to create literature. They lived between 1870 and 1930 they imitated French literary movements but they introduced martinican topics. The first part of this work shows a cultural life in Martinique at this time (18701930), how literature appeared in a colonial society few years after slavery abolishment. The second part examines poems and novels following struturalist's method. This dissertation tries to tell how important was writing for these writers. Just to be and to constitute a specific identity

Повний текст джерелаThe postcolonial novel is linked to the interpretation of History inherent to the african native writer. Without any acceptable understanding for the people concerned, fiction examines and brings out various occulted aspects of History. This study' s purpose is to underline some ways to interpret History other than from a western point of view, allowing the understanding of present History, a theme more and more present with contemporary Ivorian novelists. We propose to analyze the way Ivorian novelists, from the 90's until today, are treating History and how and why they integrate it into their fiction. The management of a european-centered History is a touchy but essential exercise to break the deadlock. Writers are willing to give their people an african History, complicated by colonialism. The study's goal is to show how this development is an urgency for the authors: in fact they try, through fiction, to find answers to the weakening of state structures and to ward off the specter of civil war initiated by the manipulation of the concept of "Ivoirité". The analysis focuses on the mental and cultural representations and we will go through the various literary categories, in order to summarize the way they induce a vision of History

Повний текст джерелаThe present research work is set in the context of language contact in a multilingual environment. Our basic assumption was that the French language in Morocco is influenced by English, as it is in France, but it was also assumed that the French language in Morocco is influenced by local languages. This research aims to demonstrate and illustrate the linguistic interactions in a complex sociolinguistic context, along with the general tendency to borrow lexical material from English. Corpus linguistic, sociolinguistic and borrowing studies methods were drawn on to form an appropriate methodological framework to achieve this objective. The study is based on a large corpus composed of all the articles from one year of a French-language Moroccan newspaper. Borrowings and codeswitching were focused on as traces of linguistic influences in this corpus. The analysis of the corpus shows the quantitative impact of English, standard Arabic and Moroccan Arabic on French as used in Morocco, highlighting the way journalists borrow words and switch between these languages. This analysis was then used to draw up a typology to study the integration of borrowings and codeswitching on the grammatical and discourse level. The question of the reasons for using borrowings and codeswitching was also addressed. It is shown that communicative strategies can be achieved by making specific language choices, especially when the journalist uses French-Moroccan Arabic codeswitching The corpus data confirm the findings of research on bilingualism, about language mixing related to a bilingual situation. More precisely, it is observed that the journalists use "local" words and expressions, through arabisms and codeswitching with Arabic, while the high number of anglicisms indicates the presence of "international" items
Khati, Abdellaziz. "Ecriture et politique chez trois romanciers algériens : relecture de romans de la période coloniale." Paris 8, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA083357.
Повний текст джерелаThe thesis focuses on the algerian novel from the colonial period. This is a replay of three novels by putting the index on the need to review fiction production from the colonial period and render to these novels their literacy. It shows how the novels of our corpus (hill forgotten mammeri, earth and the blood of feraoun and the malediction of haddadi) can perceive different mutations in the socio-political system of the colony as well as psychological mutations caused by scholars of french colonises and their emigration to factories and mines in france at schools. Colonises are in a transitional phase between the old world made of their traditional culture prior to colonization and inputs from contact with the civilization of colonizer. Forces in society are therefore addendum and colonised both men and women entering the epoch of modernism. However, at the time where a new period originates, former world with its values and its harmony starts to crumble. Thesis also takes into consideration issues of literacy, language and own fiction like a maghreb french-language literature. It's to see how novelists have reconciled their literary project with their political ones. The thesis closes with a launched call to algerian literature specialists in order to provide a new reading and a fresh look at the novels from the colonial period

Повний текст джерелаIn our introduction, we study the historical contacts and the system of intercultural exchanges between Egypt and France. Then we discribe the French-speaking circle and justify the choice of the French language in Egypt. In the first part, we give a summary of the French-speaking press in Egypt and the monograph of two Egyptian literary reviews : La Revue du Caire (1938-1961) and La Semaine Égyptienne (1926-1951). These publications are considered as diffusion canals of French literature in Egypt and an efficient means of cultural transfer. The second part, headed "The dialectic of the relation between the East and the West in the Egyptian novel at the beginning of the XXe century", is centered on the study of tension forces who accelerate the complex and evolving cultural interactions. To do so we analyse three novels : The recovered soul (1933) and The bird of the East (1938) of Tawfiq Al-Hakim and Adib (1935) of Taha Husayn. The conclusion emphasises the dialogue between the two cultures. A reciprocal appreciation and comprehension of the cultural values of the two countries are necessary to secure this dialogue
