In psychology, the experience of migration is principally studied from the perspective of the risks that it carries. As part of a socio-cultural and historical approach to developmental psychology, migration can be considered as a psychosocial transition which is favourable to personalization (Baubion-Broye et al, 2013). The combination of the socialisation and symbolical resource models, respectively developped by Malrieu (2003) and Zittoun (2007), enable us to consider the supporting role of artefacts (Meyerson, 1948), specifically those that are to do with the development of subjects engaged in a transition such as migration. The litterature suggests that music / musiking (Small, 2020) may indeed assist the process of personalization.Within this context, the objective of this study is to illuminate the functions that musicking fulfills in the development of people undergoing the psychosocial transition that constitutes the migratory experience via a comprenhensive, inductive approach, and a qualitative methodology.Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 60 adults (30 males; 30 females) ; aged between 20-70 years (m=35 ; σ =11) ; from 31 different nationalities, having migrated to France as adults for various reasons ; and having been resident between 1 month and 48 years (m=7.5 years ; σ = 123 months) and having varying levels of practical musical ability. Their accounts were used in 4 analyses : lexicometric (Alceste) ; from content (Nvivo) ; 'dynamic' (developmental timeline) ; statistical. The results show that : 1) the migratory psychosocial transition effectively underlies a process of personalization, even when it is subjected to, or the cause of violence ; 2) the musical practices of the participants are not restricted to those of their orginal environnement but are unique ; 3) amongst other resources, music fulfills the functions of different natures : emotional, symbolic, temporal and social, supporting the development of the changes undergone by the participants

In the ultra-competitive and globalised professional football industry, sport and financial performance have a prominent place. Competitions and transfer markets are the scene of fierce battles between clubs.Even if they are now far from the top of the hierarchy, some organisations have, throughout their history, gained a notoriety and an aura that brings them constant media attention and maintains them at the heart of an ecosystem made of rich and varied stakeholders. One of these organisations is Olympique de Marseille, a “historical”, popular club with a record that is unique in France and that maintains very strong links with its sympathisers and territory.A literature review on the complex concept of performance shows the importance of non-financial performance in the development strategies of some companies. However, the topic has been little studied when it comes to football clubs and it seems truly interesting to examine the potential benefits linked to the optimisation of societal performance. We articulated our reflection around this axis firstly with a stakeholder approach that lead to identification and prioritisation, then with an in-depth study of the existing interactions which results showed important shortcomings. We then turned our attention towards the understanding of these uncontrolled zones by performing a large qualitative survey in order to determine the cornerstones of the stakeholders’ relations with the club. Finally, the myths and symbols that strengthen these links are analysed through the meticulous study of the narration and speech
Weber, Rebecca. "La transmission de l’identité sociale de genre chez des familles migrantes : entre rupture et stabilité des ressources symboliques." Thesis, Lyon 2, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014LYO20102/document.
The present thesis examines social gender identity transmission amongst a community of Sub-Saharan African migrants in France. From a theoretical perspective the study examines how gendered social identity is not an option for individuals to become competent social actors. Here, gender both organizes social categories and is a tool for analyzing social hierarchies. From a methodological perspective, the study questions the effect of subjectivity on data collection. The asymmetries between researcher and participant that arise in the field highlight the very dynamics at play in social identities and are taken into account in data analysis. Interviews with migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa (adults n=31, adolescents n=9) and ethnographic observations in a Congolese Pentecostal church in France (1 year, twice-weekly) first reveal their recourse to stable gender norms and religious practices. The transition of migration implies the passage from an extended to nuclear family system, membership to a stigmatized minority group, and traces from war experiences. Secondly, parents want their children to reproduce the family model founded on a sex-gender system in which sexuality and social categories are hierarchically differentiated. The children are faced with a paradoxical injunction: to remain faithful to their parents’ norms whilst achieving the social ascension in the system from which their parents are excluded. Finally, the perspective of both parents and children reveal a complex system of symbolic exchange for which the stakes of transmission are the construction of norms and social positions. Such an exchange implies that both adults and youth must adhere to a gendered and hierarchical system governed by religion. Alterity, exemplified by gender and ethnicity, is therefore the result of a double process of social construction and exclusion. Through the condition of the other, this study reveals how the experience of social cohesion depends upon transgenerational transmission, which governs social differentiation through the attribution of otherness
Bessard, Rudy. "Pouvoir personnel et ressources politiques : Gaston Flosse en Polynesie francaise." Thesis, Pau, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013PAUU2011/document.
The strategic mobilization of multidimensional political resources allows the political leader to take power in a political space. Then, the leader uses a combination of political capacities to keep the power and extend his domination. Thus, the political leadership of the Boss Gaston Flosse, in the overseas collectivity of French Polynesia, has become a personal rule inside the French Republic. The domination of the Polynesian sociopolitical space is illustrated by the plasticity of an authoritarian leadership, which questions the expressions of democracy in Tahiti, and in the French political regime
Lozano, Aparicio Jose Martin. "Data exchange from relational databases to RDF with target shape schemas." Thesis, Lille 1, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020LIL1I063.
Resource Description Framework (RDF) is a graph data model which has recently found the use of publishing on the web data from relational databases. We investigate data exchange from relational databases to RDF graphs with target shapes schemas. Essentially, data exchange models a process of transforming an instance of a relational schema, called the source schema, to a RDF graph constrained by a target schema, according to a set of rules, called source-to-target tuple generating dependencies. The output RDF graph is called a solution. Because the tuple generating dependencies define this process in a declarative fashion, there might be many possible solutions or no solution at all. We study constructive relational to RDF data exchange setting with target shapes schemas, which is composed of a relational source schema, a shapes schema for the target schema, a set of mappings that uses IRI constructors. Furthermore, we assume that any two IRI constructors are non-overlapping. We propose a visual mapping language (VML) that helps non-expert users to specify mappings in this setting. Moreover, we develop a tool called ShERML that performs data exchange with the use of VML and for users that want to understand the model behind VML mappings, we define R2VML, a text-based mapping language, that captures VML and presents a succinct syntax for defining mappings. We investigate the problem of checking consistency: a data exchange setting is consistent if for every input source instance, there is at least one solution. We show that the consistency problem is coNP-complete and provide a static analysis algorithm of the setting that allows to decide if the setting is consistent or not. We study the problem of computing certain answers. An answer is certain if the answer holds in every solution. Typically, certain answers are computed using a universal solution. However, in our setting a universal solution might not exist. Thus, we introduce the notion of universal simulation solution, which always exists and allows to compute certain answers to any class of queries that is robust under simulation. One such class is nested regular expressions (NREs) that are forward i.e., do not use the inverse operation. Using universal simulation solution renders tractable the computation of certain answers to forward NREs (data-complexity).Finally, we investigate the shapes schema elicitation problem that consists of constructing a target shapes schema from a constructive relational to RDF data exchange setting without the target shapes schema. We identity two desirable properties of a good target schema, which are soundness i.e., every produced RDF graph is accepted by the target schema; and completeness i.e., every RDF graph accepted by the target schema can be produced. We propose an elicitation algorithm that is sound for any schema-less data exchange setting, but also that is complete for a large practical class of schema-less settings
