Анотація:

Aim: To improve the learning environment of medical institutions, this study was conducted to estimate the undergraduate medical student’s perception of the academic learning environment at their institutions. Methods: This was a cross-sectional, analytical, survey-based, multi-centric study among undergraduate medical students from three different medical colleges in Western Uttar Pradesh, India. The data was collected with an online survey including socio-demographic questions and the Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure Inventory. Results: A total of 283 medical students participated. The total Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure Inventory score was 125.22, whereas in 5 domains of the Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure Inventory were students’ perception of learning with a score of 29.18, students’ perception of teachers with a score of 27.18, students’ academic self-perception with a score of 19.11, students’ perception of atmosphere with a score of 30.25, and students’ social self-perception with a score of 18.87 respectively. Conclusion: The mean total Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure Inventory score was 125.22 indicative of "a more positive than negative perception". This indicates there is potential scope for excellence in the learning environment by medical institutions through regular evaluation and corrections. Анотація:

Nowadays, manufacturing companies in Indonesia are facing a great challenge in Industry 4.0 era. Manufacturing companies perceive Industry 4.0 is complex and could disturb their business process with uncertainty in results by implementing it. In other side, manufacturing companies also have difficulty in assessing their readiness to start Industry 4.0 transformation process and fail to prepare strategies and action plans clearly. This research developed a measurement model of Industry 4.0 readiness with 2 aspects, 5 dimensions and 20 variables that could be used by manufacturing companies to asses their current state. The dimensions “Awareness” and “Leadership and Strategy” are used to measure company readiness in “Knowledge” aspect, while the dimensions “People and Culture”, “Technology” and “Operation” are used to measure company readiness in “Resources Capability” aspect. The result of the measurement categories the company in 4 level of readiness, i.e.: “Not Ready”, “Conditional Ready”, “Basic Readiness” and “Fully Ready”. This model has been tested and used to measure Industry 4.0 readiness for an electronic manufacturing company located in Jabodetabek and showed that the model is easy and practical to be used in a real manufacturing company. With the integration of social media in journalism practice, media training institutions must focus on preparing future media professionals with the right mix of digital skills for the industry. Although efforts to improve students’ online skills readiness are evident in schools, no reliable tool exists to assess students’ confidence in doing online journalism tasks upon graduation. This study develops and validates an Online Journalism Self-Efficacy Scale (OJSES) that can be used to measure mass communication students’ perceptions of their self-efficacy for online journalism work. Items for the proposed scale were developed from a comprehensive literature review and refined by eight online journalism professionals (five online journalism lecturers and three online news editors). To explore the factor structure of the tool, exploratory factor analysis of data from a sample of finalist undergraduate mass communication students (n = 182) in five Rwandan universities was done. Results suggested that the OJSES is a five-dimensional tool that comprises 27 items. This scale measures online journalism self-efficacy in terms of students’ capabilities to conduct online journalism research, communicate with social media tools, create and share multimedia content online, observe ethical online publishing and use social media to solve organizational problems. The scale demonstrated reliability with a Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.785 and the five self-efficacy dimensions explaining 51.1 per cent of the total variance. The scale’s psychometric soundness implied its suitability not only to empirically measure the students’ confidence in working in online environments but also guide capacity-building for the required online skills for the media industry.

To test the application of doubly labeled water under adverse field conditions, energy expenditures of 16 special operations soldiers were measured during a 28-day field training exercise. Subjects were matched by fat-free mass and divided equally between an ad libitum ready-to-eat meal diet and a 2,000 kcal/day lightweight ration. Subjects recorded intakes daily, and body composition was measured before and after the exercise. At the beginning of the study, subjects moved to a new northerly location and, therefore, a new water supply. To compensate for this, a group of soldiers who did not receive heavy water was followed to measure isotopic base-line changes. Energy expenditure by doubly labeled water was in agreement with intake/balance (3,400 +/- 260 vs. 3,230 +/- 520 kcal/day). The overall coefficient of variation of energy expenditure by doubly labeled water was half that of intake/balance (7.6 vs. 16.1%). The coefficient of variation of repeat measures with doubly labeled water was 7.3%. Energy expenditure of the ready-to-eat meal group, 3,540 +/- 180 kcal/day, was not significantly different from the lightweight ration group, 3,330 +/- 301 kcal/day. Doubly labeled water was valid under field conditions.

Анотація:

Objective: To assess the perceptions of postgraduate medical education residents regarding educational environment at a medical institution in Afghanistan. Methods: The descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from 2017 to 2018 at the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children, Kabul, Afghanistan, FMIC, and comprised postgraduate medical residents. Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure was administered to determine the perception of learning environment by the residents’ perceptions related to learning, teachers, academic self-perception, atmosphere and social self-perceptions sub scales. Data was analysed using SPSS 22. Results: Of the 63 subjects, 55(87.30%) were males and 42(66.66%) were married. The overall mean age was 30±4.38 years. There was no significant difference in mean subscales scores and overall scores in relation to participants’ age, gender, type of specialty, province and year of training (p>0.05). There was a significant difference in students’ perception of teachers in relation with the type of specialty (p<0.05). Conclusions: The educational environment at the medical institution in Afghanistan was perceived by the students of residency programme as conducive. Computer and Internet Study Center Unipdu is developing a Personnel Management Information System in accordance with the current situation, therefore it is necessary to do a Readiness Analysis on the Personnel Management Information System before it is implemented, this is intended to measure the readiness of staff in implementing the system. This research was conducted using the STOPE Framework approach which only focused on the level of user readiness, namely the Unipdu Jombang Staffing Administration Bureau. The results of data processing obtained from the distribution of questionnaires to staff and lecturers at Uiversitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum, were obtained that from five domains there were 2 (two) domains that received readiness scores at level 3 (ready) on scale 4, namely People, Environment, while Strategy domains. Technology, and Organization get value of readiness at level 4 (very ready) on a scale of 4. Overall or at the level of the STOPE framework, Uiversitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum is ranked 3 (ready) to implement the Personnel Management Information System. But there are still some weaknesses at the level of subdomains and sub-subdomains that must get attention and improvement in implementing the Personnel Management Information System.

Анотація:

Customer satisfaction is the most important factors that affect the development market of RTD-ready to drink tea industry. Recently, consumer facing several product of ready to drink tea in the middle of tea industry competition, and Teh Kotak Ultrajaya was the pioneer of ready to drink tea in a box. The primary goal of this research is to analyze customer’s attitude of the brand meaning and consistency, secondary goal is to analyze the customer satisfaction toward Teh Kotak Ultrajaya as one of the ready to drink tea product. The research conducted in two countries, Indonesia and Thailand used qualitative and quantitative methods. Fishbein analysis was conducted to measure consumer’s attitude. Customer satisfaction analyzed using the customer satisfaction index (CSI) and importance and performance analysis (IPA). The finding shows that brand meaning and concistency of tea product represented by the unique taste of the tea, satisfaction feeling after consumed it, comfortable with Indonesian brand, and positive experience while in abroad. The result also shows that customers like Teh Kotak Ultrajaya in Thailand better than in Indonesia based on Fishbein score 15,13 in Thailand and 13,80 in Indonesia. Customer satisfaction index (CSI) was also increased from 78,67 percent to 81,67 percent, from satisfied into very satisfied, and there are no atributes in main priority performance to be improved based on IPA yet still has to maintain all of the good atributes on it.

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all activities into nearly completed by online action. in online teaching and learning activities, students interact a little and less socializing with peers who are feared to affect the level of students’ confidence and ability to socialize during teaching and learning activities in class re-opening. Purpose: To prepare mental and psychological conditions of students in offline teaching and learning activities, also pays attention to measure the readiness of teachers in school re-opening attempt. Methods: Prepare mental condition and psychic students in offline teaching and learning activities, by increasing the readiness of teachers in the implementation of offline teaching and learning activities, as well as assessing the effectiveness of students’ psychological and mental character development activities in facing offline teaching and learning activities. Results: The results of the pre-test about the readiness to release the child during the teaching and learning process carried out offline in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic dominated by the answer “Very” not ready” with a percentage of 43.80%; “ready” answers as many as 30.43%. In addition, respondents the percentage of those who choose the “Ready” option in the post-test is higher, namely 26.09% compared to the pre-test which was only 7.44%. Conclusion: Efforts are applied to prepare students’ physical and psychological conditions in offline teaching and learning activities in anticipation of the impact of post-based education digital service carried out by the community service team are successfully triggered the readiness of teachers and facilities at the school is considered to be ready, based on after consideration carry out three work programs that are reviewed from very good facilities adequate, strictly enforced health protocols, as well as teaching staff who are able to carry out health promotion campaigns withfluent.

Whiteboards are ubiquitous fixtures in hospital rooms that may represent a ready-made patient engagement tool; yet, their use has only been minimally explored. This study examined the relationship between a standardized whiteboard communication process and patient activation by using the Patient Activation Measure (PAM®). Participants ( N = 172) that were optimally involved in whiteboard communication had significantly higher PAM® scores compared to those who were suboptimally involved. PAM® scores also correlated with self-reported role, with those endorsing active participation scoring higher than passive listeners. Accordingly, this study establishes a positive association between the structured use of whiteboards and patient activation.

Most rehabilitators, over the years, have dutifully followed the mixing instructions indicated on product labeling. Instructions generally say to add water, gently stir, and the liquid formula is ready to use. This paper discusses issues related to these products’ lack of complete solubility, laboratory tests performed to measure insolubility, and minor adjustments to formula preparation that easily address these issues.

Consumption of ready-to-drink beverages, as a potential source of fluoride (F), has increased considerably in China over the last decade. To help inform the public and policy makers, this study aimed to measure F concentration of ready-to-drink beverages on sale in Heilongjiang province, north east China. Three batches of 106 drink products manufactured by 26 companies were purchased from the main national supermarkets in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, China. The F concentration of all samples was determined, in triplicate, using a fluoride ion-selective electrode in conjunction with a meter and a direct method of analysis. The products were categorised into 10 groups according to product type. F concentrations of the samples ranged from 0.012–1.625 mg/l with a mean of 0.189 mg/l and a median of 0.076 mg/l. More than half of the products (55%) had an F concentration of ≤0.1 mg/l, while <5% had a F concentration of >0.7 mg/l. The ‘tea with milk’ group contained the highest mean F concentration (1.350 mg/l), whereas the lowest mean F concentration (0.027 mg/l) was found for the ‘fruit juice’ group. For some products, such as tea, fruit juice and carbonated beverages, there were substantial variations in F concentration between batches, manufacturers and production sites. In conclusion, ready-to-drink products (apart from tea), sold in Heilongjiang province, China, when consumed in moderation are unlikely to constitute a substantial risk factor for the development of dental or skeletal fluorosis.

Industry 4.0 has changed the way we live, work and interact, creating new opportunities and challenges. To deal with these challenges, SMEs need an application that can integrate and automate SME business processes. Small and Medium Enterprises are very important for Indonesia’s economic growth. The 2016 economic census conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics stated the rapid economic growth among MSMEs. The more rapid growth of the market, the greater the competition in the market coupled with the current digital era. The study was conducted to measure the readiness of small and medium enterprises in the Bogor area that are engaged in fashion for Cloud ERP adoption. Readiness measurement is done by the Net Ready method which has four variables, namely: Leadership, Governance, Competencies, Technology. The Net Ready method further assesses the readiness to the level of the organization and the results of measurements which each have different value contributions. Governance provides the biggest contribution in the assessment of Net Ready which has a score of 1.06. Competencies provide the second largest contribution which has a score of 0.77. Technology provides the third largest contribution which has a value of 0.72. Leadership makes the smallest contribution in this study which has a score of 0.58, lack of management awareness of integrated information systems to make new business strategies. The total score obtained from the summary of each variable total score produces a value of 3.12. The total score can be categorized as Bogor region SMEs engaged in fashion, quite ready to adopt Cloud ERP.

The purpose of this research is to measure the percentage of management readiness of PKBM in following accreditation. This research was a quantitative descriptive study using a questionnaire as the research instrument. The sample in this study was 8 respondents who were PKBM managers in Rejang Lebong Regency. The finding obtained from the results of the PKBM readiness in registering institutions in SISPENA showed a percentage of 84.28571% so that it was included in the category of very ready to register their institutions at SISPENA. For the readiness of 8 standard documents, the research results obtained show a percentage of 71.25673% so that it was included in the quite ready category. For performance readiness/ implementation of activities, the results of the study showed a percentage of 62.32039% so that it was included in the category of not ready. Based on research findings, it was known that the obstacles in preparing the accreditation process were cost and human resources. The conclusion from this study was that PKBM managers in Rejang Lebong Regency were very prepared to register their institutions in SISPENA because all PKBM already have an NPSN as the main requirements for admission to SISPENA. In addition, it was also known that PKBM managers are quite prepared in preparing 8 standard documents because on average PKBM managers already have 8 standard documents. The manager of PKBM was not ready to prepare the performance/implementation of activities because the data found was not in accordance with 8 standard documents.

<p><em>This research aims to know</em> <em>how many students are ready and less ready to face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Hopefully, the results of this research can provide solutions and recommendations regarding actions that universities should take, especially students, to be better prepared to face the industrial revolution 4.0. The number of samples used was 49 IKIP PGRI Jember students and final-semester students (semester 7 ≥). The data collection method uses a work readiness scale with 20 questions and 5 alternative answers, while data analysis uses data and uses the Rasch model. The results showed that 38 students (78%) had high job readiness, while the rest were classified as moderate. The elements of the student work-readiness scale item (item measure) show that the ability to work in IKIP PGRI Jember student teams is very high, exceeding other items.</em></p>

Abstract The McCleary enzymatic assay for mixed linkage (1→3)(1→4)-beta-D-glucans has been modified to apply to oat and barley fractions and ready-to-eat (RTE) cereals. The proposed method involves lower sample concentrations; stirring the samples; a longer, warmer lichenase digestion; and longer beta-glucosidase digestion. These changes result in higher recovery of beta-glucan. This modification expands on the American Association of Cereal Chemists (AACC) Method 32-22 by the addition of a desugaring procedure, which is necessary for RTE cereals. Results from collaborative studies sponsored by AACC and AOAC demonstrate good precision for an enzymatic assay. The average relative standard deviation for reproducibility (RSDR, a measure of inter laboratory variation) for 20 oat, barley, and cereal samples was 9.7%. The average RSD for repeatability (RSDr, intralaboratory variation) was 5.0%. The enzymatic method has been adopted first action by AOAC International for determination of beta-glucans in oat and barley fractions, and ready-to-eat cereals.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the current challenges to making individualized men’s dress shirt adjustments, and devised a novel measurement method to assess shoulder shape. Design/methodology/approach To understand the common complaints about ready-to-wear dress shirts, a wear evaluation with 15 Japanese males was performed. The shoulder components of these shirts could not be adjusted using any currently available measurement methods. The three-dimensional body shape of two subjects who had a problem with the shoulder of ready-to-wear shirts was compared with a dummy designed to represent the average Japanese male. Findings The authors determined that one of the subjects with an incompatible shoulder fit had a shoulder point (SP) line that was anterior to the one measured on the average dummy. The other subject had a smaller shoulder angle than the average dummy. To effectively measure the wearer’s shoulder characteristics, the authors devised a new measuring device that can measure the shoulder angle and its degree of forward thrust. With this device, it was possible to understand the wearers’ shoulder types and make appropriate dress shirt adjustments. Originality/value The authors devised a new measuring device to assess shoulder angle and forward thrust, qualities that previously could not be measured without three-dimensional analysis. Using this device, it was possible to understand the wearers’ shoulder types and make appropriate dress shirt adjustments.

An integral component of interprofessional education (IPE) is the development of a collaboration-ready health-care workforce. While collaboration is a fundamental element of IPE, there is no existing measure of collaboration skills that is not context specific. This article describes the development and initial validation of the Self-Assessed Collaboration Skills (SACS) measure. Items were initially drawn from the Collaboration Skills Assessment Tool rubric, an educational assessment tool. The SACS measure was piloted in a sample of students in an introductory IPE course. Following scale revision, the SACS was piloted a second time in a sample of students in an IPE health systems course and then validated in a sample of students in an introductory IPE course. Exploratory factor analysis was used to assess scale factor structure in Pilots 1 and 2 and confirmatory factor analysis to confirm factor structure in the validation sample. Convergent and discriminant validity were also assessed. The final SACS measure is an 11-item scale consisting of three dimensions of collaboration: information sharing, learning, and team support. The SACS measure demonstrates high internal consistency and both convergent and discriminant validity as a measure of collaboration. The SACS can be implemented in any setting for assessing collaboration in clinical and nonclinical contexts.

Thus, it is important to conduct a research study on the readiness of the X Library in implementing Library 4.0.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the readiness of the X library to implement Library 4.0 in the face of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 by referring to the TORC (Theory of Organizational Readiness for Change), in terms of five contextual factors- the policies and procedures, past experience, organizational resources (human resources and technological resources), organizational structure, and organizational culture.Method: The research method used this study is mixed methods, which combine quantitative and qualitative approaches.Findings: The results showed that the level of organizational readiness in implementing Library 4.0 is the mean value of 2,60. This showed that the X Library is not ready, and needs some of work to implement Library 4.0Conclusion: Based on the five contextual factors to measure organizational readiness toward Library 4.0, it showed that almost all of them are the level of not ready, but there is one factor that shows it is quite ready- the policies and procedures. The lack of organizational readiness because leadership is an important key related to contextual factors that affect the readiness of Library X towards Library 4.0.

The problem of construction supply chains is the fragmentation of unsustainable projects such as manufacturing. Therefore it is necessary to have supply chain performance indicator standards related to the procurement of materials that can be used as a reference for the performance of a project or contractor. The purpose of this study is to measure the performance of the construction supply chain with the perfect order fulfillment (POF) indicator adopted from the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) 12.0. The adoption stage starts from the definition in construction to the calculation of indicators in the project. The results showed that suppliers of steel and ready mix concrete at close range from the project had better performance. In the case study, the perfect order fulfillment performance of steel suppliers with a distance of 345 km is worth 89.476% while suppliers with a distance of 540 km are worth 87.535%. The supplier of ready mix concrete within 7.3 km is worth 95.355% and the supplier with a distance of 15.7 km is 91.705%.

Mass spectrometry imaging is a promising tool complement to the histology study for evaluation of presence of different tissue types in the sample. To make this method faster, more accurate and precise we have presented earlier the cosine similarity measure maps (CSMM). The method provides the spatial distribution of cosine similarity measure metrics between chosen MSI pixel and the rest of the image. In cases when samples under test are heterogeneous and not guaranteed to have clear clusters with distinct borders, it is interesting to analyze the heterogeneity, area borders and their sensitivity to reference CSMM pixel selection. Here we present the software for interactive building of CSMM for different parameters, their visual analysis and saving such CSMM in publication-ready quality without additional programming. Applying this methodology, the authors estimate wastage-related losses and discuss opportunities for more circular and sustainable practices in the Italian potato industry.Design/methodology/approachMFA is applied to two specific typologies as follows: ready-to-eat (chips) and dried potato products produced in Italy. The analysis refers to the year 2017 as the complete dataset useful for this study includes measurements until this year. A bottom-up and top-down mixed approach is applied, and functional unit refers to 1 t of potatoes consumed as final product.FindingsMFA is applied to quantify and qualify material balance associated with 1 t of potatoes consumed as final product. In Italy, in 2017, more than 22,000 t of fresh tubers were lost, including 3,500–4,800 t of starch, equivalent to 52,800–72,600 GJs. Moreover, fewer than 23,000 t of skins and scraps were produced within industrial plants, not available for food but suitable for animal feed (dry skins are an excellent carbohydrates source in cattle and poultry feed), starch industry and bioenergy production (biogas and/or bioethanol).Originality/valueThis research is one of the few studies proposing MFA methodology as a tool to measure food waste. This analysis shows its utility in terms of food waste quality/quantity evaluation, supporting both company management and policymakers.

The article is devoted to the issue of evaluating the educational environment of a higher educational institution. The issue is of actual character since an optimal educational environment is one of the conditions for training competitive and competent specialists. University educational environment is specific as it purposefully affects the future specialist’s professional and personal development, ensures his readiness for professional activity, successful fulfillment of social roles and self-realisation in the process of life. In the article the educational environment of university is considered from the viewpoint of a competency-based approach wherein the subject-subject relations (teacher-student activity), educational goals and learning outcomes are treated as elements of the educational environment. Due to the fact that there are a few native methods of evaluating the educational environment of university, the DREEM methodology (Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure) developed by the University of Dundee (UK) in 1997 and actively used by foreign medical universities is suggested to consider. A valid tool for evaluation is the DREEM questionnaire with the aim to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the university educational environment. Although the DREEM questionnaire requires some adjustment in terms of taking into account the realities of the national system of higher education, fields of training and the like, wordings of its questions are quite universal that makes it possible to use the given toolkit to evaluate the educational environment of Belarusian higher educational institutions training specialists in various fields.

Abstract In the period 1991-1993, an official study was conducted to measure the presence and evaluate the risk of pesticide residues in plantbased food in the Belgian total diet. Positive samples were subjected to one or more culinary treatments (washing, peeling, steaming, or cooking) to determine the decrease of residues in prepared ready-to-eat food. Thus, better estimates of pesticide residues taken up through consumption were determined and compared with toxicological criteria. Washing did not significantly reduce residues. Peeling fruits removed almost all pesticides. The effects of cooking and steaming varied, depending on the type of food and pesticide.

Анотація:

Readiness is important for the success of the e-learning process. The purpose of this study was twofold: to develop a scale to measure K–12 teachers’ e-learning readiness, and to examine their readiness to teach online. The participants were 3,295 K–12 teachers working in Izmir, Turkey. First EFA, then CFA-SEM was performed. Additionally, teachers’ e-readiness in terms of gender, years of service, school level, and daily device usage time were examined. Teachers are ready for e-learning considering their overall scores. A significant difference was found in favor of males in the “technical competence” factor and in favor of females in the “colleague, content, and pedagogical and ethical competence factors”. The readiness of younger teachers is generally higher. On a factor basis, there is only a significant difference in the factors of computer self-efficacy and student readiness according to educational level. As the use of devices increases, technology-related readiness increases. The readiness of teachers plays an important role in determining future strategies, measures, and interventions that need to be taken to advance e-learning.

Анотація:

The main goal of this research was to measure students’ readiness in applying E-Learning. Quantitative method was employed in this research. The researcher distributed an online questionnaire to undergraduate students at one of private university in Batam randomly. The collected data was analyzed with statistical software SPSS. The descriptive statistics (percentage, means and standard deviations) were calculated and reported in this research. Four categories of students’ readiness are being discussed in this research – students’ technology skills, technology access, motivation, and time management. Based on the result, the students were highly ready learn using E-Learning with overall mean 3.34
