AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara konformitas peer group dengan perilaku berpacaran remaja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan pendekatan korelasional, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan multistage sampling yang terdiri dari simple random sampling dan purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 233 siswa di SMP Negeri 209 Jakarta. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: korelasi antara konformitas peer group dengan perilaku berpacaran remaja sebesar 0,467; konformitas peer group berkontribusi terhadap perilaku berpacaran sebesar 21,83%; dan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara konformitas peer group dengan perilaku berpacaran pada remaja di SMP Negeri 209 Jakarta.Kata kunci: konformitas peer group,perilaku berpacaran, remaja. AbstractThis study is aimed at analyzing the relation between peer group conformity and teenagers dating behavior. This study uses a survey method with correlational approach, while multistage sampling (simple random sampling and purposive sampling). The sample was 233 students in SMP Negeri 209 Jakarta. The research found that: coefficient correlation between peer group conformity with adolescent dating behaviors of 0,467; conformity peer group contributing to the dating behavior of 21.83%; and there is a positive and significant relationship between peer group conformity with dating behavior in adolescents in SMP Negeri 209 Jakarta.Keywords: peer-group conformity, dating behavior, adolescent.

This study aimed to determine the increase in understanding of mathematical concepts using the Peer Tutoring method and digital pocketbooks. The research conducted was experimental research. This study used random sampling with cluster random sampling technique. The data collection technique is using a test (essay). The data analysis technique in this study is the normality gain (N-gain). The data analysis technique applied to test the hypothesis in this study was the ANOVA of the same cell path. The results of data analysis and hypothesis testing that have been carried out can be concluded that there is an effect of Peer Tutoring Method learning using learning media assisted by digital pocketbooks on the ability to understand mathematical concepts. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan Peer Tutoring Method dan buku saku digital. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan random sampling dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah menggunakan Tes (essay). Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan normalitas gain (N-gain). Teknik analisis data-yang diterapkan untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan ANOVA satu jalan sel sama. Hasil analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh penggunaan pembelajaran Peer Tutoring Method menggunakan media pembelajaran berbantu buku saku digital terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis.

Self-identity development in adolescents marked by the joining of youth in peer groups that can foster peer conformity. Emotional intelligence is needed by adolescents so that adolescents can avoid negative conformity. The aims of this research is analyze the correlation between emotional intelligence and peer conformity in late adolescence. This correlational analytic study was conducted on 191 respondents at “X” University who were selected using simple random sampling technique. The emotional intelligence was measured using a questionnaire that adapted Goleman's theory, while peer conformity was measured using a peer conformity questionnaire. Emotional intelligence and peer conformity data were analyzed using Spearman Rank test. Spearman Rank test showed p value 0.001 <α (0.005), r value = -0.245, so there is a correlation between emotional intelligence and peer conformity in adolescents with a negative correlation. That is, the higher level of adolescent emotional intelligence results in lower conformity with peers.

Masa remaja adalah periode transisi perkembangan kanak-kanak menuju dewasa, melibatkan perubahan biologis, kognitif dan sosio-emosional. Interaksi teman sebaya adalah hubungan timbal balik antara dua individu atau lebih dengan tingkat umur yang berdekatan yang saling mempengaruhi. Desain penelitian menggunakan deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan interaksi remaja kepada teman sebaya. Jumlah sampel 197 siswa kelas VII dan VIII SMPN 4 Pakuhaji Ngamprah. Teknik sampling menggunakan stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisa bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan antara pola asuh demokratik, pola asuh otoriter dan pola asuh permisif dengan interaksi teman sebaya. Saran kepada pihak sekolah agar remaja diberi ruang untuk mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki. Kata kunci : pola asuh, remaja, interaksi, teman sebaya RELATIONSHIP OF PARENT PARENTS WITH PEER INTERACTION ADOLESCENT ABSTRACTAdolescence is a transition period of childhood development toward adulthood, involving biological, cognitive and socio-emotional changes. Peer interaction is a reciprocal relationship between two individuals or more. The study design used descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach which aims to determine the relationship between parenting parents and adolescent interactions with peers. The number of samples was 197 students of class VII and VIII of SMP 4 Pakuhaji Ngamprah. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling. Data collection used a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis used chi-square test. The results shows that there is a relationship between democratic parenting, authoritarian parenting and permissive parenting with peer interaction. The suggestions for the school are given encouragement to adolescent to develop their potential. Key words: parenting, adolescents, peer interaction

This study aimed to describe: parental support and the role of peer, the attitude of the young women in facing the puberty, the contribution of parental support and the role of peer on attitudes young women in facing the puberty. This study includes a quantitative study, with descriptive correlational approach. The population of this study was students of SMPN 1 Batang Anai. The sample was selected by using purposive random sampling. The findings of the study are: (1) the level of parental support and the role of peers on average at the high category, (3) the attitude of the young women in facing the puberty are in a category receive, (4) there is a contribution of parental support and role of peers by 24.6% and 31.5%, and (6) there is a contribution between parental support and the role of friend peer by 38.4%.

Through a preliminary study with High School Counseling Teacher from High School 01 Jatisrono, Wonogiri, Central Java that obedience to school rules is still in the low category. On the other hand, students in their teens have the characteristics to conform with high peers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between peer conformity in terms of gender with obedience to school rules. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research. Sampling using simple random sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 151 students spread throughout class XI. Measuring instruments used are the psychological scale of peer conformity and psychological scale of obedience to school rules. Analysis of the data used in the hypothesis test is the Carl Pearson product moment correlational test. The results showed that with the level of peer conformity in male and female students who were in the moderate category and found a positive and significant relationship between peer conformity in terms of gender with obedience to school rules with a low degree of correlation. Obtained correlation results of 0.261 with a significance of 0.001. From these results it can be understood that the higher the peer conformity, the higher obedience to school rules.

Background: Peers contribute to the development of adolescents’ behavior during the transition period. Adolescents often justify their behavior with peers to confirm social norms of their surroundings. The increasing number of male adolescent smokers is raising public awareness to become acquainted with the cause of the behavior. Peer conformity is expected to be one of the vital variables to circulate smoking behavior. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the correlation between peer conformity and smoking behavior among male adolescents in a high school in Padang, Indonesia.Methods: A descriptive-analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach was used in this study. The samples were 154 male adolescents recruited by proportional random sampling. The data were collected using the questionnaires and analyzed using the Fisher exact test. Results: The results showed a significant correlation between peer conformity and smoking behavior among male adolescents (p=0.000). Peer conformity contributed to the development of smoking behavior among adolescents in this study.Conclusion: Peer conformity was evident to have a significant correlation with smoking behavior among male adolescents. Increasing assertiveness and life skill ability might be a necessity to adapt to negative behavior among adolescents.

Abstract Learning outcomes are changes in behavior obtained by students after experiencing learning activities. Learning outcomes include three domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. High and low learning outcomes achieved by students are influenced by factors of the family environment, social environment, and the association of students with peers. This study aims to analyze the influence partially (individually) or simultaneously (together) between the family environment, social environment and peer relationships simultaneously on learning outcomes. This research is motivated by the low ability of the students of MAN 1 Mandailing Natal in communicating well interpersonal. Self-confidence and peer conformity are factors that are thought to affect interpersonal communication. This study aims to describe: (1) self-confidence, peer conformity, and interpersonal communication, (2) the contribution of self-confidence to interpersonal communication, (3) the contribution of peer conformity to interpersonal communication, (4) the contribution of confidence and peer conformity. peers together on interpersonal communication. This research uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The study population was all students of MAN 1 Mandailing Natal, amounting to 1130 people, a sample of 295 people, who were selected by proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used was a Likert scale model. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple regression, and multiple regression. The research findings show that: (1) on average, students 'self-confidence is in the high category, (2) peer conformity is in the high category, (3) students' interpersonal communication is in the good category, (4) self-confidence contributes 47.8 % towards interpersonal communication, (5) peer conformity contributes to interpersonal communication by 19.2%, and (6) peer confidence and conformity together contribute to interpersonal communication by 49.5%

This study aims to determine the effect of peer conformity through money attitudes toward adolescence’s consumptive behavior. The method used is descriptive verification method with ex post facto and survey approach. Data collecting technique was done by using questionnaire. Sampling technique in this study was proportional stratified random sampling, the number of samples were 165 adolescents. Hypothesis testing in this study was conducted by using linear regression test with path analysis. The results show the significance of peer conformity influence on consumptive behavior was 32.4%. The value of the influence of peer conformity to consumer behavior is indirectly obtained by 11, 22%. The findings indicated all hypotheses were accepted, that peer conformity shows a significant effect on consumptive behavior. Adolescent who have high conformity will tend to behave consumptively.

This study aims to examine the relationship between Self Efficacy and peer social support with Self Regulated Learning at Potensi Utama University students. Where the subject of research is a student of Potensi Utama University with a sample of 131 students. Sampling through simple random sampling technique. Data collection is done by using Likert scale which consists of three scale that is Self Efficacy scale, Social Peer Support scale and Self Regulated Learning scale. Data analysis method used is Multiple Regression Analysis. The results obtained that there is a positive relationship between Self Efficacy and social support peers with Self Regulated Learning students of Potensi Utama University. With the value F = 9.511 and the value p = 0.000. Self Efficacy contributes to Self Regulated Learning of 9.3%. Friends' social support contributes to Self Regulated Learning of 7.3%. Self Efficacy and peer social support to Self Regulated Learning as much as 12.9% this means there are still 87.1% other factors that can affect Self Regulated Learning. From these results it is expected for the Potensi Utama University Medan to improve students' ability in managing Self Efficacy in a better direction, build a conducive atmosphere that leads to peer social support, and create learning conditions that lead students to learn independently.

The research aimed to discover some factors influencing customer perception toward Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending Financial Technology (FinTech). It was an empirical study in which the survey was conducted using an online questionnaire from June to August 2019. The research sample was collected from 56 respondents of Pohon Dana customers by simple random sampling. The data collected were analyzed with Partial Least Square Path Modelling by presenting several factors influencing customer perception. The analysis tool was SmartPLS ver 3.2.8. The research finds out that benefits and security have a positive and significant relationship to customer perception. Meanwhile, ease of use, self-efficacy, and trust have a negative and insignificant relationship to customer perception.

The study examined the influence of self-esteem and Peer pressure on the career choice of adolescents. The purpose was to determine the relationship between Peer pressure and career choice, the relationship between self-esteem and career choice, and compare the influence of self-esteem and Peer pressure on adolescent boys and girls. Cross-sectional and descriptive was the research design. Cluster sampling was used to select four schools, and stratified proportional, and simple random sampling was used to select 200 respondents. Rosenberg self-esteem, Peer pressure, and career decision scales were used to collect data from 200 Senior High School students in selected schools in the Greater Accra region Ghana. Pearson’s correlation and regression analysis were the statistical tools for the analysis of data. The results indicate that self-esteem positively correlates with the career choice of adolescents. Peer pressure positively correlates career choices of adolescents. There is no gender differences in Peer pressure and career choice of adolescents. Challenges of career choice among adolescents include the lack of career guidance, the influence of family, general indecisiveness, the desire to pursue a career that earns much, and the opinion of their peer concerning career choice.

Background: Adolescent have the characteristics of wanting to be accepted by their peers. Peer influence can also affect consumption, one of which is consumption of fast food, either foreign or domestic. High peer influence has the possibility to make fast food consumption high.Objectives: This research was conducted to analyze the correlation between peer influence and consumption of fast food, foreign and domestic.Methods: This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design on 136 adolescents in SMAN 6 Surabaya who were selected by clustered random sampling. Data collected were the respondent's background: gender, age, and daily pocket money. Respondents also filled a peer influence scale questionnaire and a food frequency questionnaire about fast food.Results: Most respondents had low peer influence (52.21%). The chi square correlation test revealed that there was a significant correlation between peer influence and consumption of French fries (p=0.016), beef burger (p=0.029), chicken burger (p=0.025), and waffle (p=0.014). There was no significant correlation between peer influence and any food from domestic fast food group.Conclusions: There was a correlation between several types of foreign fast food consumption and peer influence. Types of fast food that had a correlation with peer influence were French fries, beef burger, chicken burger, and waffle. Whereas no food from domestic fast food groups had a significant correlation with peer influence. This revealed that peer influence only affects certain fast food that has prestige value.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Remaja memiliki ciri-ciri ingin diterima oleh kelompok sosialnya (peer). Peer influence juga bisa memengaruhi konsumsi, salah satunya konsumsi makanan cepat saji, modern maupun tradisional. Peer influence yang tinggi memiliki kemungkinan untuk membuat konsumsi makanan cepat saji remaja menjadi tinggi.Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara peer influence dan konsumsi makanan cepat saji, modern maupun tradisionalMetode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan studi cross sectional pada 136 remaja di SMAN 6 Surabaya yang dipilih secara clustered random sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah latar belakang responden berupa tinggi badan, berat badan, jenis kelamin, usia, serta uang saku harian. Selain itu, responden diminta mengisi peer influence scale questionnaire dan food frequency questionnaire.Hasil: Sebagain besar responden berstatus gizi gemuk (14%) dan memiliki peer influence sedang (50%). Uji korelasi chi square mengungkapkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara peer influence dan konsumsi spaghetti (p=0,007), fried chicken (p=0,009), french fries (p=0,008), beef burger (p=0,018), chicken burger (p=0,009), dan dimsum (p=0,046). Tidak ada makanan dari kelompok makanan cepat saji tradisional yang memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan peer influence.Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara konsumsi beberapa jenis makanan cepat saji modern dan peer influence. Introduction: The globalization of information has a big impact on adolescents. The great curiosity of adolescents about reproduction encourages adolescents to seek information from various sources, including peers, parents, schools and information media. This requires correct and responsible information so that adolescents can have healthy reproductive behavior. The aim is to analyze the knowledge and motivation of peer counselors in the implementation of adolescent reproductive health counseling in Sumenep Regency. Methods: This study used quantitative methods with cross sectional design. The population in this study is the total population, namely all peer counselors who have received training on Adolescent Reproductive Health in Sumenep Regency as many as 66 people. Sampling technique using simple random sampling. Data analysis used chi-square statistical test and logistic regression. Results: The results showed that knowledge about adolescent reproductive health counseling, motivation towards the implementation of adolescent reproductive health counseling, had an influence on the implementation of adolescent reproductive health counseling. Conclusion: This study recommends the Sumenep Regency BPMP & KB Office to organize and activate adolescent reproductive health counseling training and invite peer counselors who are active in Sumenep district, as well as facilitate any adolescent reproductive health counseling activities in the form of facilities and infrastructure

Latar Belakang: Salah satu indikator keberhasilan pembangunan kesehatan di Indonesia adalah menurunnya angka kematian ibu, salah satu caranya dengan metode Peer Education atau kelompok teman sebaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Peer Education terhadap pengetahuan perawatan kehamilan pada kelas ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Astambul Metode : Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimen, Penelitian dilaksanakan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Astambul, teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah random sampling, dengan populasi ibu hamil sebanyak 657 orang, sampel ibu hamil sebanyak 15 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kusioner dengan jumlah 15 soal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Uji Statistik: Uji Paired T Test. Hasil : Hasil Penelitian sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan perawatan kesehatan responden dengan tingkat pengetahuan baik berjumlah 67%, setelah dilakukan penyuluhan meningkat menjadi 93,3% responden dengan tingkat pengetahuan baik yang menandakan adanya pengaruh Peer Education terhadap tingkat pengetahuan. Kesimpulan: Adanya pengaruh peer education terhadap pengetahuan perawataan kehamilan pada kelas ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Astambul, maka penting memberikan informasi tentang perawatan ibu hamil terutama oleh tenaga kesehatan. Abstract: To optimally carry out their developmental tasks during the Covid-19 Pandemic, which affects psychosocial and mental health, teenagers require mentoring. One of those accompaniments may come from their peers. This study observes the way teenagers being peer-counselors during the Covid-19 pandemic. This quantitative research uses a descriptive survey design. Meanwhile, its populations were all participants of peer counseling training webinars conducted by the Centre of Guidance and Counselling Service of Lambung Mangkurat University. The 126 samples were selected using a random sampling technique live in South Borneo. The results convey that 32 percent, 78 percent, and 58 percent of teenagers actively being peer-counselors at the age of 16 years, at the high school age, and when the pandemic started, respectively. A 40 percent of teenagers explain that they choose to be peer counselors because they like to help their friends, 53 percent of them feel to have a superior personality that supports them to be peer counselors, while 27 percent of them contemplate on things they can suggest to help their friends as peer counselors. Additionally, 54 percent of teenagers wish to attain peer counselors' skills that can command the counselees' thoughts. Thus, teenagers have given relatively significant contributions as peer counselors during the Covid-19 pandemic.Abstrak: Guna melaksanakan tugas perkembangan dengan optimal selama pandemi covid-19 yang berdampak pada kesehatan mental dan kondisi psikososial, remaja perlu pendampingan. Salah satunya adalah pendampingan dari teman sebaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan gambaran mengenai bagaimana remaja menjadi konselor sebaya di masa pandemic covid-19. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan desain survei-deskriptif. Populasi penelitian merupakan seluruh peserta webinar pelatihan konseling teman sebaya yang diadakan oleh Pusat Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PLBK) Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik total random sampling yaitu sebanyak 126 sampel yang berdomisili di Kalimantan Selatan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 32 persen remaja aktif menjadi konselor sebaya pada usia 16 tahun, 78 persen mulai SMA/SMK, 58 persen mulai pada masa pandemi. Empat puluh persen remaja beralasan menjadi konselor sebaya karena merasa senang dapat membantu temannya, 53 persen merasa memiliki kepribadian yang unggul sebagai konselor sebaya karena terdorong untuk membantu, 27 persen memiliki pikiran apakah yang bisa saya sarankan kepada teman saya disaat menjadi konselor sebaya dan 54 persen ingin mendapatkan keterampilan sebagai konselor sebaya yang mampu mengendalikan pikiran konseli. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa remaja sudah berperan cukup baik menjadi konselor sebaya di masa pandemik covid-19.

The occurrence of consumptive behavior among adolescents is caused by several internal factors such as self-control, talents, interests, values, self-concepts and knowledge and learning outcomes. External factors such as social class, family, culture, peers, and situations. Psychological factors such as information processing and learning.This study aims to describe the contribution of self-control and peer conformity to the consumptive behavior of students in Kisaran Private IT High Schools. The research method uses a quantitative approach with descriptive correlational type and multiple regression. The population of this study was 57 high school IT private high school students in class X and the sample of 50 students were selected using proportional random sampling. The research findings show that: (1) on average, self-control is in the very high category, (2) peer conformity is also in the very high category, (3) consumer consumptive behavior is categorized very well, (4) there are 51% contribution of self-control to consumptive behavior, (5) there are 34% contribution of peer conformity to consumptive behavior, and (6) there are 60% contribution together with self-control and peer conformity towards consumptive behavior.

Emotional distress, such as symptoms of anxiety, depression, and withdrawal, is on the rise among teenagers today. These symptoms are generally grouped into internalizing problems. Based on research, a risk factor that contributes to internalizing problems is peer rejection. This study aims to determine the effect of peer rejection on adolescent internalizing problems. Research design is quantitative research with a multistage random sampling technique as a data collection technique. The subjects of this study were 252 adolescents aged 16-18 years who are currently studying in SMA in Bondowoso Regency, consisting of 103 boys (M = 40.068; SD = 13.283) and 149 girls (M = 40.893; SD =13.283). The instruments used were Social Peer Rejection Measure (21 items, α = .90) and Strengths and Difficulty Questionnaire (SDQ), just for internalizing problems (10 items, α = .72). The results of the analysis test using simple linear regression showed that there was a positive influence of peer rejection on internalizing problems in high school adolescents in Bondowoso Regency, adjusted R 2 = .278; F(4, 427) = 251, p = .000). This influence shows that the more often adolescents experience rejection from their peers, the higher the chances of experiencing internalizing problems.

<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of family environment and peer interaction on the learning behavior of XI SMA Patra Dharma Balikpapan students. Samples were obtained by means of random or random sampling techniques, with a sample of 95 students. How to collect data in this study by distributing questionnaires to class XI students of Patra Dharma High School students. To prove the hypothesis in this study by using t test and F test. The results of this study indicate that partially family environment, peer interaction affects the learning behavior of class XI students of Patra Dharma High School Balikpapan, this is shown by looking at the value of t count 2.223&gt; t table 1,660 for family environment variables and t count 2,946&gt; t table 1,660 for peer interaction. Whereas simultaneously the family environment, peer interaction affects the learning behavior of XI Patra Dharma Balikpapan class XI students, this is indicated by the calculated F value of 9.204 greater than Ftable = 3,098.</em></p>

Introduction: Mycobacterium leprae infiltration results in inflammation of the nerves. This condition results in a progressive decline of nerve function of the eyes, hands and feet. The main burden of people with leprosy is a disability that will affect all aspects of their lives. The objective of this study was to explain the effect of empowerment education, home-based self care, and peer support for disability. Methods: True experimental randomized pre-post test control group design. The sampling technique used simple random sampling consisted 16 respondents. The independent variable was empowerment education, home-based self care, and peer support. The dependent variable was disability. The data were collected by in-vivo biological observation sheets. The data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney Test and Wilcoxon Signed test. Results: The result showed that there was an effect of intervention on disability with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test 0.046. Discussion: Empowerment education interventions, home-based self care, peer support increase the knowledge of leprosy clients in self care. The key to disability prevention is 3M, which is checking, protecting, and caring for the eyes, hands and feet. These three interventions will increase patient confidence in self-care at home. The support of peers will also make it easier for clients to weigh the advantages and disadvantages when not complying with comprehensive treatment.

One aspect of autonomous learning is peer evaluation (Harmer, 2001; Benson, 2001; Cottrall, 1999; Everhard&Murphy) Seeking to make students more autonomous leaners and take more responsibility for their learning, as well as assess the effect of peer assessment, on language acquisition, peer assessment has been introduced to student of the final semester of their studies. This paper reports initial results from a study into the effectiveness of peer assessment in an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classroom instruction, in a methodology course, conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2017/2018, at the Department of English Language and Literature, at the University of Tetovo, Macedonia. Applying frequency statistics, Fraenkel&Wallen, (2003), the study has analyzed peer assessment; in contrast to teacher assessment of student presentations. Content analysis (Leedy & Ormord, 2005) to identify themes biases and meaning, the study investigated the validity and reliability of peer assessment. Convenience sampling among students enrolled in the seventh semester identified a non-random sample of 20 students representing 41% of the possible cohort. The findings of the study revealed that students were not prepared to assess each other and rather acted on their personal feelings towards their peers. In conclusion, it is argued that research designs involving an extended period of time and with a larger sample will be needed to confirm these results.

This research aims to knowing the influence of peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products in teenagers. This research was conducted at the 140 Junior High School in Jakarta. This research method using survey method. Population inthis reseach is student grade nine, with the total sample is 70 respondents. Data was taken by using simple random sampling. The hypothesis test data used is product moment correlation coeffcient with result rxyhitung > rxytabel, atau 0,704 > 0,235. Result of t-test with significance level 0.05 obtained 8,17 > 1,995 or thitung > ttabel means that is correlation beetween peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products. Result of regression obtained Fhitung 66,78, and Ftabel 3,985 so that Fhitung < Ftabel means that there is a significant influence between peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products in teenagers. Contribution peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products in teenagers as big as 49,56%, and the remaining 50,44% is determined by other factors which is not examined. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) produk kosmetik pada remaja. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama 140 Jakarta. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswi kelas IX, dengan jumlah sampel 70 responden. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Uji hipotesis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi koefisien product moment dengan hasil disimpulkan rxyhitung > rxytabel , atau 0,704 > 0,235. Hasil uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 diperoleh 8,17 > 1,995 atau thitung > ttabel yang berarti terdapat korelasi antara fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) produk kosmetik. Perhitungan uji signifikansi regresi diperoleh hasil perhitungan Fhitung 66,78 dan Ftabel 3,98 sehingga Fhitung < Ftabel artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) produk kosmetik. Konstribusi fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) sebesar 49,56%, sedangkan sisanya yaitu 50,44% ditentukan dengan faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.

Introduction: Sedentary lifestyle in adolescents can cause overweight, obesity, hypertension, myopia, anxiety, metabolic disorder, and decreased academic ability. The role of peers in preventing sedentary behavior is very necessary because adolescents are much closer and intimate to their peer environment than their parents or family. The purpose of this study was to see the intention of peers towards increasing their role and support to prevent sedentary behavior in adolescents. Method: this research was a descriptive study with a sample of 300 respondents with random sampling techniques in 5 high school students in the city of Surabaya, East Java. Data were collected through filling out questionnaires and then analyzed descriptively. Results: The results showed that the intention of peers was mostly in the good category with the supported of peers to prevented the sedentary lifestyle of adolescents who were also in the high category. Conclusion: The lack of peer intention to increased the role of making social support is also lacking so that it increased the risk of the impact of sedentary behavior on adolescents. Nurses are expected to provide health promotion on the understanding, form, causes, and effects of sedentary behavior on adolescents, thereby increasing adaptive peer support first to change roles, then providing interventions to increase the role of peer social support by jointly implementing GERMAS (Healthy Community Movement). Keywords: intention; peers; sedentary behavior ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Perilaku sedentari pada remaja dapat menyebabkan kelebihan berat badan bahkan obesitas, hipertensi, myopi, kecemasan, penyakit gangguan metabolik, dan penurunan kemampuan akademik. Peran teman sebaya dalam mencegah perilaku sedentary sangat diperlukan karena remaja jauh lebih dekat dan intim dengan lingkungan teman sebaya dibandingkan dengan orang tua atau keluarganya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat niat teman sebaya terhadap peningkatan peran dan dukungannya untuk mencegah perilaku sedentary pada remaja. Metode: penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan sampel 300 responden dengan teknik random sampling pada siswa 5 SMA Negeri di Kota Surabaya, Jawa Timur. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan niat teman sebaya sebagian besar dalam kategori baik dengan dukungan teman sebaya untuk mencegah sedentary lifestyle remaja yang juga dalam kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan: Niat teman sebaya yang kurang untuk meningkatkan peran membuat dukungan sosial yang dilakukan juga kurang sehingga meningkatkan resiko terjadi dampak dari perilaku sedentari pada remaja. Perawat diharapkan memberikan promosi kesehatan tentang pengertian, bentuk, penyebab dan dampak perilaku sedentari pada remaja, sehingga meningkatkan dukungan teman sebaya yang adaptif dahulu untuk merubah peran, kemudian memberikan intervensi peningkatan peran dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan bersama-sama menerapkan GERMAS (Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat). Contrary to other non-probability sampling methods in which researchers actively recruit potential participants, respondent-driven sampling (RDS) relies on connection and trust within social networks to access hidden or hard-to-reach populations through a peer-to-peer recruitment process. These interdependency relations aligned with Indonesian communal culture. Personal network size calculation in the RDS method makes this innovative sampling method approximate random sampling methods, where findings from the sample could be generalized to the target population. Considering its superiority, the RDS method could be applied in social psychology research in Indonesia to explore current sensitive social issues among hidden or hard-to-reach Indonesian sub-populations, for instance, radical religious groups. The current article aimed to concisely describe the RDS method; discuss ethical considerations, strengths, and weaknesses of the RDS method; and outline the potential use of the RDS method in improving the contribution of social psychology research in Indonesia, for example, by advancing strategies for social intervention programs. It is followed by a brief step-by-step process to conduct a study using the RDS method.

This study investigated the prevalence and types of gang behaviour among Secondary School Students in Osun State. It also determined the influence of peer pressure on gang behaviour among the students. These were with a view to providing information on the predisposing factor of students’ gang behaviour. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised all students in public secondary school in Osun State. The sample size consisted of 895 public secondary school students who were selected using the multistage sampling technique. A simple random sampling technique was used to three Local Government Areas (LGAs) from each of the three senatorial districts in the state and four secondary schools from each of the LGAs selected. Seventy-five students were selected from Junior Secondary Class 3 (JSS3) to Senior Secondary Class 2 (SS2) using a stratified random sampling technique. Two adapted instruments titled Questionnaire on Students’ Gang Behaviour (QSGB), and Peer Pressure on Adolescents’ Behaviour Questionnaire (PPABQ) were used to elicit information from the students. Frequency counts, percentages, and Linear Regressions were used to analyse the data. The results showed that gang behaviour was prevalent among 20.8% of the JSS3 students, 29.0% of the SS1 students and 17.2% of the SS2 students. Also, the result showed that intimidating/threatening other students (RSI = 0.5911), involvement in drug and alcoholism (RSI = 0.5223) and engaging in underage drinking (RSI = 0.5148) were the common gang behaviours among the students. Lastly, the result showed a significant influence of peer pressure on gang behaviour among the students at F-value (β = 0.261, F = 48.70, p < 0.05). The study concluded that peer pressure could predispose secondary school students in Osun State to gang behaviour.

The problem of overweight in adolescents is caused by multiplicity, including friendships and also the amount of pocket money which will affect the pattern of daily food consumption. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship peer group support, pocket money, and food consumption patterns with overweight. This research is observational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was selected by 50 respondents with stratified random sampling technique, this study was conduction in 2020. Data collected by interviews for respondent characteristics, peer group support, pocket money, and food consumption patterns using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Data analysis using Chi-Square Test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between peer group support and overweight (p= 0,048), There is a significant relationship between pocket money and overnutrition (p= 0,001) and there is a significant relationship between food consumption patterns with overnutrition (p= 0,000). The results of the study indicated that there was a relationship between peer group support, pocket money, and food consumption patterns with overweight. From these results, it is hoped that adolescents will be able to minimize the influence of their peers and be able to allocate pocket money to consume nutritious daily food.

This study investigated peer pressure influence on premarital sexual behaviour of senior secondary school students in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The population for the study comprised students in public senior secondary schools in the twenty-three Local Government Areas of Kaduna State. Simple random sampling was used to select Kaduna North senatorial zones from the three existing zones in Kaduna State. Nine schools from thirty-two senior secondary schools were randomly selected. The population of senior secondary schools in Kaduna North zone was 5,730 in 2010/2011. 50% (2,865) of the population was used as sample size. A total number of 1,655 males and 1,210 female students were used. In each of the nine (9) schools, 319 copies of questionnaire were administered to the Students using simple random sampling technique. The data collected were statistically analyzed using descriptive statistics of mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested using one sample Z-test at 0.05 level of significance. It was found that, there is significant influence of peer pressure on premarital sexual behaviour among senior secondary school students in Kaduna State, Nigeria. It was recommended, that Kaduna State Ministry of Education to intensify awareness programme on premarital sexual behaviour through workshops or seminars for the students on how to deal with peer pressure, and other social pressures that may lead to sexual intercourse.

Abstrak Latar Belakang: Pandemi covid 19 mempengaruhi bidang pendidikan dengan diberlakukannya pembelajaran jarak jauh sehingga dapat menimbulkan dampak psikologis bagi remaja. Dalam pelaksanaannya maka dibutuhkan dukungan keluarga dan teman sebaya agar remaja merasa lebih diperhatikan dan disayangi. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dan teman sebaya terhadap kecemasan dalam proses pembelajaran saat pandemi covid 19 pada siswa di SMPN 5 Depok. Metode: Studi cross sectional dengan teknik simple randoom sampling sebanyak 242 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil: Studi menemukan pengaruh antara dukungan keluarga dengan kecemasan belajar (p value= 0,002) dan dukungan teman sebaya dengan kecemasan belajar (p value= 0,025) pada siswa di SMPN 5 Depok. Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa remaja yang memiliki dukungan keluarga dan teman sebaya yang baik akan memberikan dampak dalam belajar yaitu meminimalisir terjadinya kecemasan belajar, khususnya saat pandemi covid-19. Dukuungan keluarga dan teman sebaya mempunyai peranan penting untuk memotivasi remaja sehingga mengurangi kecemasan. Kata Kunci : Dukungan keluarga, dukungan teman sebaya, remaja, kecemasan belajar. Abstract Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the education sector with the implementation of distance learning so that it can have a psychological impact on teenagers. In its implementation, it takes the support of family and peers so that teenagers feel more cared for and loved. This study aims to determine the relationship between family and peer support for anxiety in the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic in students at SMPN 5 Depok. Methods: Cross sectional study with simple random sampling technique as many as 242 respondents. Data analysis using chi square test. Results: The study found the effect of family support with learning anxiety (p value = 0.002) and peer support with learning anxiety (p value = 0.025) in students at SMPN 5 Depok. Conclusion: The results of the study show that teenagers who have good family and peer support will have an impact on learning, namely minimizing the occurrence of online learning anxiety during the covid-19 pandemic. Family and peer support has an important role to motivate adolescents so as to reduce anxiety. Keywords: Family support, peer support, adolescents, anxiety in learning.

This study examines the influence of social anxiety and peer acceptance on adolescents’ social adjustment among secondary school students in Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria. To carry out the study, four hypotheses were formulated and tested. A descriptive survey research design was adopted in the study. The sample of the study consisted of 350 students comprising 175 males and 175 females selected through stratified random sampling. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents. The hypotheses formulated in this study were tested with t-test statistics at 0.05 level of significance. The results of the study showed a significant influence of social anxiety on adolescents’ social adjustment, a significant influence of peer acceptance on adolescents’ social adjustment, a significant gender difference in the extent of social anxiety among adolescents, and a significant gender difference in the extent of peer acceptance among adolescents. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that school authorities provide a learning environment that eliminates the potential for occurrences of social anxiety. Adolescents should be encouraged to avoid following peers or friends who have negative attitude or influence. Rather, they should follow only those who can influence them positively.

College students have a roles, responsibilities, various tasks and academic non-academic activities while studying in the university. These may cause them tend to delay on completing their task and assignments or it can be called academic procrastination. Peer social support is the one of important factors that may influence academic procrastination among college students. This study aimed to determine the correlation between peer social support with academic procrastination among nursing students at Udayana University. This study was a quantitative study with cross-sectional design. The research respondents were 160 nursing students at Faculty of Medicine in Udayana University, in 2, 4, 6, and 8 semester. The sampling technique was proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection used a peer social support instrument adopted from Dinata (2019) and academic procrastination instrument adopted from Harkinawati (2019). Spearman Rank was used to analyze the data. The result showed that the description of peer social support in nursing students was mostly at the moderate level (77,5%), the description of academic procrastination in nursing students was mostly at the moderate level (97,5%), and there was a moderate and negative correlation between peer social support and academic procrastination in nursing students (r = -0,404; p = 0,000; ? = 0,05). Conclusion of this study is peer social support can affect academic procrastination. This research is expected to be a reference in minimize academic procrastination through health promotion programs to increase peer social support in nursing students.

Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penrelitian ini sejumlah 213 dari populasi siswa berjumlah 542 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel proportionate stratified random sampling, Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pola relasi sosial teman sebaya dan angket penggunaan media sosial, yang masing-masing realibilitasnya 0,837 dan 0,886. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa antara pola relasi sosial teman sebaya dengan penggunaan media sosial memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (r= 0,221 ; p < 0,05). Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola relasi sosial teman sebaya dengan penggunaan media sosial. Semakin tinggi penggunaan media sosial maka semakin tinggi pola relasi sosial teman sebaya siswa. This research has a purpose to know the relationship between the peer relation patern with social media utilizing by junior high school students either in partial or together manner. This research uses descriptive correlational quantitative design. The sample used in this research amount 213 from students population which are amount 542 by proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The instrument to accumulate the data uses peer relation patern and social media utilizing questionnaire, which each their realibility 0,837 and 0,886. The data analysis technique uses product moment. The result of this research shows that between the peer relation patern with social media utilizing has a significant relation (r= 0,221 ; p < 0,05). Conclusion, we can say that there is a significant relation between the peer relation patern withsocial media utilizing. The more high social media utilizing, the more high the peer relation patern of students.

This study was an attempt to explore the effect of peer attachment on career decision making among undergraduate students. A sample of 528 undergraduate students of the education department was selected from public and private universities of Lahore through a stratified random sampling technique. The questionnaire used for data collection was comprised of demographic information, career decision making self-efficacy developed by Betz, Klein and Taylor (1996) and inventory of peer and parental attachment developed by Armsden and Greenberg (1987) and revised by Gullone and Robinson (2005). Multiple regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between variables. An independent sample t-test was applied to determine the difference between the groups. The results showed that peer attachment has a significant effect on CDMSF.

The aim of this research is to examine the relations between parenting behaviors of mothers, self-regulation skills and peer play skills of preschool children between 60-72 months old focusing in particular the mediation role of the self-regulation skills in relation between parenting behaviors and peer play skills. The sample of the research is selected from the central districts of a city in middle western Turkey, by random sampling method. Sample of the study consist of 365 children, their mothers and teachers. The results indicate that there is a positive relation between positive parenting and positive play skills and a similar association between negative models. Although the self-regulation skills are positively associated with positive peer play, no significant relation is found between self-regulation and negative peer play behaviors. Additionally, no indirect effect of parenting behaviors on peer play skills through self-regulation skills was observed. Implications of the findings are discussed in the light of the related literature.

Background: Smoker’s motivation is essential to support the success of smoking cessation intervention by the chosen method. The percentage of active smokers in a university is 29.2%, and 303 people (77.6%) have moderate to high motivation to quit smoking. Objective: The study was aimed to measure student motivation to quit smoking and identify the factors that influencing them to start consuming cigarette. Methods: The study method was cross sectional using cluster simple random sampling for sampling method among 271 smoking students in eight different faculties. Results: Among the smoking students, most of them starts smoking when they were teens, in an age range of 12 to 15 years old. Peer influence was among the higher risk factor inviting them to initiate consuming cigarette. Conclusion: Smoking prevalence among youth was increased among other age, and the influence of social environment or peer group was the greatest among the other smoking factors. It is important to involve peer support group to help smokers in quitting smoking.

Penlitian ini bertitik tolak dari adanya siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam berinteraksi sosial teman sebaya dengan baik dan belum matang secara emosional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI dan XII di SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 260 orang siswa yang ditetapkan dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah angket ditetapkan dengan skala Likert. Analisis data deskriptif dengan teknik persentase dan untuk uji korelasional dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 20.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) kemampuan interaksi sosial teman sebaya siswa berada pada kategori baik, (2) kematangan emosi siswa berada pada kategori matang, dan (3) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan derajat hubungan kuat antara kemampuan interaksi sosial teman sebaya dengan kematangan emosi siswa, dengan koefisien korelasi rhitung ≥ rtabel yaitu 0,759 ≥ 0,138 dan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000.

Technique analyze data is using multiple regression analysis. Based on data analysis can be concluded that: The self concept itself have a significant effect on consumptive behavior, indicated that the stroneg self concept tendency consumptive behavior also increase if there is a conflict. Peers also has a significant effect on consumptive behavior, due to the friendship. Contemporary culture also has a significant effect on consumptive behavior it is because of a conflict so that the concept of a strong self could be affected on consumptive behavior, as well as peer and contemporary. Objective: to describe the utilization of peer support of the adolescents in SMA Suluh of South Jakarta in 2019. Method: the research type was descriptive quantitative with crosssectional design. The population was all students in one senior high school with a sample of 100 respondents collected through stratified random sampling. Result: This study showed that most of the students had used peer support (66%), and small part of the respondents did not yet utilize peer support (34%). Most of the respondents who did peer support were teenage girls (72%), living with their parent (68%), having good knowledge (66%), school support (70.3%), and support from health workers (67.8%). Salah satu cara agar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan maupun perilakunya dengan metode Peer Group, yaitu metode pembelajaan dengan berdiskusi mengenai suatu masalah dimana tiap anggotanya adalah teman sebaya.Desain penelitian menggunakan Quasi-experimental dengan pretest posttest one group without control design. Populasinya adalah remaja putri di Pondok Pesantren Sukamiskin Bandung dan sampel berjumlah 52 responden dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Stratified Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Untuk analisa univariat dan bivariate dengan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test.Hasil penelitian sebelum dilakukan Peer Group menunjukan 29 responden memiliki pengetahuan kurang dan 28 responden dengan sikap tidak mendukung, setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan yaitu 35 responden memiliki pengetahuan cukup dan 39 responden memiliki sikap mendukung. Uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank menunjukan p value < 0,05 berarti terdapat pengaruh Peer Group tentang Dhysmenorrhea terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap.

Background: Health literacy (HL) is one of the factors influencing the use of health-related information by patients with diabetes. As a social support resource, peers can help improve diabetes knowledge in these patients. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of peer support on HL in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) with low support resources. Methods: This randomized controlled trial was conducted on 80 patients with T2D referring to a diabetes clinic in Aligoudarz. Patients meeting the inclusion criteria were selected by the random sampling method and randomly assigned to two groups of intervention and control each containing 40 cases. The data were collected using the Test of Functional Health literacy in Adults (TOFHLA) at the beginning of the study and after 3 months of educational peer support intervention. Eventually, data were analyzed by the statistical tests of chi-square, Fisher’s exact test, t test, and paired t test. Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference in the mean (±SD) HL between the two groups before the intervention (53.12±13.86 vs. 56.62±10.34, P=0.204). However, the mean HL in the intervention group represented a significant improvement after 3 months of peer intervention compared to the control group (70.27±9.78 vs. 56.87±10.07, P<0.001). Conclusion: Overall, peer support was found to be effective in improving the HL of diabetic patients with limited access to support resources. Therefore, it is recommended to use the capacity of peers as a social support resource in diabetes care programs.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Students' academic self-concept is a concerning concept in educational research. The purpose of this research is to examine the simultaneous influence and relationship of learning motivation, democratic parenting, and peer relations with academic self-concept in students. This is a correlational research with a cluster random sampling method used to collect data from 962 students. The result showed that learning motivation, democratic parenting, and peer relations had a partial and simultaneous relationship with students' academic self-concept. Furthermore, support from guidance and counselors, homeroom teachers, and parents is essential for students to actualize and develop their character optimally and effectively. </p>
