This article deals with the impact of Wireless (Wi-Fi) networks on the perceived quality of voice services. The Quality of Service (QoS) metrics must be monitored in the computer network during the voice data transmission to ensure proper voice service quality the end-user has paid for, especially in the wireless networks. In addition to the QoS, research area called Quality of Experience (QoE) provides metrics and methods for quality evaluation from the end-user’s perspective. This article focuses on a QoE estimation of Voice over IP (VoIP) calls in the wireless networks using network simulator. Results contribute to voice quality estimation based on characteristics of the wireless network and location of a wireless client.

The paper focuses on ensuring the quality-of-service (QoS) and quality-of-experience (QoE) requirements of users having heterogeneous devices in a multicast session. QoS parameters such as bit rate, delays, and packet losses are good indicators for optimizing network services but fall short in characterizing user perception (QoE). In N-Screen service, the users have different devices with heterogeneous attributes like screen size, resolution, and access network interface, and the users have different QoE on N-Screen devices with the same QoS parameters. We formulate the objective function of the N-Screen multicast grouping to ensure the minimum user’s QoE with smaller bandwidth requirement. We propose a dynamic user reassignment scheme to maintain and satisfy the QoE by adapting the user’s membership to the varying network conditions. The proposed schemes combine the available bandwidth and multimedia visual quality to ensure the QoS and QoE. In the network architecture, we introduce the functions of the QoS and QoE aware multicast group management and the estimation schemes for the QoS and QoE parameters. The simulation results show that the proposed multicast service ensures the network QoS and guarantees the QoE of users in the varying network conditions.

The internet protocol television service (IPTV) has become a key product for internet service providers (ISP), offering several benefits to both ISP and end-users. Because packet networks based on internet protocol have not been prepared for time-sensitive services, such as voice or video, packet networks have had to adopt several mechanisms to secure minimal transmission standards in the form of data stream prioritization. There are two commonly used approaches for video quality assessment. The first approach needs an original source for comparison (full-reference objective metrics), and the second one requires observers for subjective evaluation of video quality. Both approaches are impractical in real-time transmission because it is difficult to transform an objective score into a subjective quality perception, and on the other hand, subjective tests are not able to be performed immediately. Since many countries worldwide put IPTV on the same level as other broadcasting systems (e.g., terrestrial, cable, or satellite), IPTV services are subject to regulation by the national regulation authority. This results in the need to prepare service qualitative criteria and monitoring tools capable of measuring end-user satisfaction levels. Our proposed model combines the principles of both assessment approaches, which results in an effective monitoring solution. Therefore, the main contribution of the created system is to offer a monitoring tool able to analyze the features extracted from the video sequence and transmission system and promptly translate their impact into a subjective point of view.

More software application are intend to be developed by the automated code synthesis or the component integration. We proposed a SVM QoS estimation model for the component-based software system (SVMQEM). Our estimation model learns various system QoS properties and outputs a comprehensive QoS by SVM, which is different from the approaches available in the literature. The experiments shows that the SVMQEM has an acceptable QoS estimation accuracy for the component-based software system.

For the grid workflow system include a large of candidate services, the activity scheduling in workflow’s ex-ecution base on quality of service (QoS) constraints can pro-vide optimal service for users. This paper established the QoS’s parameter system with applied technology of grid workflow, and introduced the each parameter’s calculation model of activity’s QoS, the grid work-flow’s QoS estimation method based on the basic flow control structures defined by the abstract grid workflow language (AGWL). The experimental results show that the calculation method in this paper can estimate stably QoS parameter values of grid workflow combining with the multi candidate services, and, can provide a reasonable basis for process scheduling based on QoS constraints.

Quality of service (QoS) for internet traffic management requires good traffic models and good estimation of sharing network resource. A link of a network processes all traffic and it is designed with certain capacity C and buffer size B. A Generalized Markov Fluid model (GMFM), introduced by Marrón (2012), is assumed for the sources because it describes in a versatile way the traffic, allows estimation based on traffic traces, and also consistent effective bandwidth (EB) estimation can be done. QoS, interpreted as buffer overflow probability, can be estimated for GMFM through the EB estimation and solving the optimization problem presented in Courcoubetis and Siris [ Perform. Eval. 48:5–23, 2002], the so-called inf-sup formulas. In this work, we implement a code to solve the inf-sup problem and other optimization related with it, that allow us to do traffic engineering in links of data networks to calculate both, minimum capacity required when QoS and buffer size are given or minimum buffer size required when QoS and capacity are given.

The available bandwidth (avail-bw) in a network path is of major importance in congestion control, streaming applications, quality-of-service verification, server selection, and overlay networks. In a packet network, the terms bandwidth and throughput often characterize the amount of data that the network can transfer per unit of time. Bandwidth estimation are also important for traffic engineering and capacity planning support. We propose a QoS-aware routing protocol that incorporates an admission control scheme and a feedback scheme to meet the QoS requirements of real-time applications. Results of our experiments show that the packet delivery ratio increases, and packet delay and energy dissipation decrease significantly, while the overall end-to-end throughput is not impacted, compared with routing protocols that do no provide QoS support. Nevertheless, the load is better balanced in the network, therefore the network capacity is not overloaded. The result in more stable routes and less control traffic as almost no reconstructions are needed.

In recent publications concerning quality of service (QoS) measures in communication networks several attempts have been made to improve the techniques of computing or estimating the quality of data transfer. Many of the promising results are based on the knowledge of only very few parameters on the traffic situation, some of which are known a priory, others are measured. The paper deals with such parsimonious estimation techniques of QoS measures under the bufferless fluid flow multiplexing (bffm) framework, and concentrates on the efficient computation of them. The proposed fixed-point recursive algorithms are key elements in applying either the implicit formulae or ones containing optimization tasks in real-time environment.

MANETs (Mobile Ad-hoc Networks) is the self organizing wireless structure of mobile hosts. Wireless media is used for communication in MANETs. Considering the developing requirements for multimedia and real-time traffic applications in real world, QoS (Quality-of-Service) support is essential in MANETs. But most of the characteristics of MANETs make QoS support a difficult problem. It is challenging to support QoS routing in MANET due to dynamic behavior and mobility of the hosts. The OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing) protocol can be efficiently used in MANETs to provide QoS routing because of its dynamic MPR (Multi Point Relay) selection criteria and proactive nature. In this paper, a design of QoS routing framework integrated with OLSR protocol is proposed and also analyzed using network simulator. Proposed QoS framework combines a bandwidth estimation algorithm with explicit resource reservation, QoS routing and connection admission control (CAC). OLSR protocol is extended for QoS framework to solve performance issues related to node mobility using cross layer approach. Results after simulation conclude about efficiency of the proposed QoS routing framework.

The paper presents a robust QoS centric routing protocol for mission-critical communication over mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (CL-mWSN) that exploits dynamic network states from the different layers of the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack to make the routing decision. The CL-mWSN protocol exploits three key layers: application layer, network layer and MAC layer. It exhibits proactive network and node table management, service differentiation, fair resource scheduling and congestion detection, avoidance at the network layer, as well as dynamic link quality estimation and packet injection rate estimation at the MAC layer to assess its candidature as the best forwarding node for QoS-centric mission-critical communication. Simulation reveals that the proposed routing model exhibits higher throughput, minimum loss and deadline miss ratio that augments QoS provision in mobile WSNs.

Call Setup Time (CST) is one of the key performance indicators (KPIs) that Mobile Network Providers (MNPs) are mostly appertain. It has been established that long CST usually severely affects the user experience. Owing to the limitations associated with gleaning the CST data from MNPs, this paper provides the development of QoS estimation algorithm from various CST parameters. The algorithm involves the determination of CST; Inter-Burst time; Intra-Burst time and Call duration in time domain. The caller Frequency content was also determined by the application of fast Fourier Transform before computing the Mean Square Error (MSE). The eventual QoS rating is done after the computation of the MSE from various individual parameters. Four hourly data consisting of 10 sets each were collected three times in a week for four weeks for each MNP’s for creating Caller Ringtone dataset and testing the developed algorithm. Performance analysis of the system in accurately determining: CST; Intraburst time; Interburst time and Call durations were carried out. Results obtained shows that the proposed technique accurately computes these parameters and maximum error obtained was to the value of 10%. Furthermore, the QoS obtained shows an error margin of less than 5 % was observed when the developed technique was compared to the ground truth. Thus, the proposed algorithm was able to compute the QoS using Caller Ringtone only, thus independent of MNP.

Video quality evaluation needs a combined approach that includes subjective and objective metrics, testing, and monitoring of the network. This paper deals with the novel approach of mapping quality of service (QoS) to quality of experience (QoE) using QoE metrics to determine user satisfaction limits, and applying QoS tools to provide the minimum QoE expected by users. Our aim was to connect objective estimations of video quality with the subjective estimations. A comprehensive tool for the estimation of the subjective evaluation is proposed. This new idea is based on the evaluation and marking of video sequences using the sentinel flag derived from spatial information (SI) and temporal information (TI) in individual video frames. The authors of this paper created a video database for quality evaluation, and derived SI and TI from each video sequence for classifying the scenes. Video scenes from the database were evaluated by objective and subjective assessment. Based on the results, a new model for prediction of subjective quality is defined and presented in this paper. This quality is predicted using an artificial neural network based on the objective evaluation and the type of video sequences defined by qualitative parameters such as resolution, compression standard, and bitstream. Furthermore, the authors created an optimum mapping function to define the threshold for the variable bitrate setting based on the flag in the video, determining the type of scene in the proposed model. This function allows one to allocate a bitrate dynamically for a particular segment of the scene and maintains the desired quality. Our proposed model can help video service providers with the increasing the comfort of the end users. The variable bitstream ensures consistent video quality and customer satisfaction, while network resources are used effectively. The proposed model can also predict the appropriate bitrate based on the required quality of video sequences, defined using either objective or subjective assessment.

QoS-aware routing based on ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithms is a promising approach to overcome these problems. However, as compared to MANETs, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) face additional challenges due to rapid topology change, making the estimation or prediction of QoS parameters difficult or stale. VANETs require time-critical message delivery, as late delivery may result in endangering lives. Currently existing routing protocols usually require the exchange of additional control message between neighbor nodes to compute QoS parameters. This makes the routing protocol too slow to react to fast topology change and also does not consider network congestion when forwarding a data packet. To reduce the overhead introduced to collect information from neighbor nodes and to obtain an accurate estimate of QoS parameters, we use the simple network management protocol to estimate these values locally. This paper describes a new approach for calculating QoS parameter locally and avoiding congestion during data transmission. The simulations are implemented using the network simulator ns-3, and the results show that our approach is scalable and performs well in high mobility. This article presents a method of estimation for HTTP traffic quality service parameters mean delay and lost packets percentage. This method, based on statistic measurements, includes simulation and analytical modeling. Statistical HTTP traffic models presented earlier take into account typical features of WEB2.0 Internet traffic, which were used for the simulation model. Developed universal simulation models make it possible to research service quality parameters under setting network conditions over a wide range considering Internet development. The presented analytical method based on batch packet arrival model allows an accuracy estimation of mean HTTP-packets delay in Core Router by simple calculations. Objective results of HTTP traffic quality service parameters can be used in QoS standard development for WEB traffic and model QoE standard development.

With the development of Internet of Things, the number of network devices is increasing, and the cloud data center load increases; some delay-sensitive services cannot be responded to timely, which results in a decreased quality of service (QoS). In this paper, we propose a method of resource estimation based on QoS in edge computing to solve this problem. Firstly, the resources are classified and matched according to the weighted Euclidean distance similarity. The penalty factor and Grey incidence matrix are introduced to correct the similarity matching function. Then, we use regression-Markov chain prediction method to analyze the change of the load state of the candidate resources and select the suitable resource. Finally, we analyze the precision and recall of the matching method through simulation experiment, validate the effectiveness of the matching method, and prove that regression-Markov chain prediction method can improve the prediction accuracy.

Available bandwidth parameter is a crucial characteristic in terms of networking and data transmission. The beforehand knowledge of its value and use of this parameter in various traffic engineering algorithms and QoS calculations is a key for high-efficient multigigabit data transport in nowadays networks. The challenge in available bandwidth estimations is not only in its accuracy and processing speed but also in the reduction of the amount of probe traffic injected into the network by keeping an adequate level of estimation accuracy. In this paper we extend existing active probing measurement algorithms for end-to-end available bandwidth estimation along with methods to reduce estimation times and amount of injected traffic while keeping measurement accuracy constant and even reducing the uncertainty of estimations. The main goal of this research was to detect a sufficient ratio of MTU, packet train size with the link capacity and available bandwidth (AvB) in up to 10 Gbps networks. In order to explore measurement accuracy under different conditions, a new tool for the AvB estimation named Kite2 has been developed and is presented in the paper. Comparative performance of AvB estimations using Kite2, Kite and Yaz is presented. Finally we calculate with statistical means dependency between the estimation error probability, measurement probing overhead and the measurement time.

Multi-constrained routing is a key driver to support quality-of-service (QoS) for real-time multimedia applications in wireless mesh networks (WMNs). Due to the difficulty of applying strict admission control into a public WMN, it is inevitable to accommodate multiple application flows with different QoS requirements exceeding the capacity of a certain link shared by multiple flows. However, existing multi-constrained routing protocols under such an environment find the QoS degradation based on end-to-end path quality probing and trigger flooding-based route discovery from a scratch for resolving the QoS degradation, which incurs a longer recovery time and much routing overhead. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-constrained routing protocol for WMNs that finds problematic links that may affect QoS degradation to end-to-end paths and replaces them with a detour path using a local repair principle. We model congestion threshold estimation for finding problematic links and design algorithms for quickly finding detour paths and selecting an optimal path by minimizing the negative effect on existing flows nearby the detour path. Simulation results show that the proposed routing protocol achieves up to 19.6% more goodput of live video streaming applications with up to 33% reduced routing overhead compared with an existing work.

Monitoring of the performance of wireless network is of vital importance for both users and the service provider which should be accurate, simple and fast enough to reflect the network performance in a timely manner. The aim of this paper is to develop an approach which can infer the performance of wireless ad hoc networks based on Quality of service (QoS) parameters assessment. The developed method considers the QoS requirements of multimedia applications transmitted over these kind of networks. This approach is based on the ideas of combination of both active and passive measurement methods. This approach uses an in-service measurement method in which the QoS parameters of the actual application (user) are estimated by means of dedicated monitoring packets (probes). Afterwards, these parameters are combined to produce and assess the application’s overall QoS using the fuzzy logic assessment and based on the measured QoS parameters estimated using the probe traffic. The active scheme is used to generate monitoring probe packets which are inserted between blocks of target application packets at regular intervals. While the passive monitoring is utilized to act as a traffic meter which performs as a counter of user packets (and bytes) that belong to the application (user) traffic flow that is subjected to monitoring. After simulating the developed technique, it offered a good estimation for the delay, throughput, packet losses and the overall QoS when using different probe rates.

The satellite network is useful in various applications because of its coverage, broadcast capability, costs independent of the distance, and easy deployment. Recently, thanks to the advanced technologies in the satellite communication, the high throughput satellite system with mesh connections has been applied to the Internet backbone. In this paper, we propose a practical overall design of the satellite network to provide Internet services with quality of service (QoS) support via the satellite network. In the proposed design, we consider two service types such as delay-tolerance and delay-sensitive services allowing the long propagation delay of the satellite link. Since it is crucial to evaluate the user satisfaction in the application layer for various environments to provide the QoS support, we also define the performance metrics for the user satisfaction and derive the major factors to be considered in the QoS policy. The results of the performance evaluation show that there are factors such as the traffic load and burstiness in the QoS policy for the delay-tolerance service with volume-based dynamic capacity in the satellite network. For the delay-sensitive service with rate-based dynamic capacity, it is additionally indicated that it is important for the estimation of effective data transmission rate to guarantee the QoS. Furthermore, it is shown that the small data size has an effect on the slight reduction of the QoS performance in the satellite network.

Recently, Wireless Sensor Network has drawn wide attention on collecting and communicating data for Smart Distribution Grid (SDG). In order to establish a routing system satisfying the latency and reliability requirements of smart distribution grid, a novel routing algorithm with layered cooperative processing and QoS Guarantee Control function is presented in this study. By researching link reliability and path delay estimation method, optimized latency and link quality routing decision method, and on-demand and priority-based buffer queue execution method, the end-to-end data transmission performance of WSN for SDG communication are optimized. The simulation results indicate that our routing protocol can provide QoS for SDG according to their requirements.

The deployment of heterogeneous networks (HetNets) is a way to increase the network capacity and release part of the traffic generated by users inside a cell to small-scale wireless networks for service. In this context, the main problem is managing the interference due to the coexistence of small cells and macro cells. In this paper, a QoS-aware Resource Allocation (RA) algorithm jointly working with admission control (AC) over a two-tier HetNet scenario is investigated in the presence of both the pilot-symbols for channel estimation and the channel estimation error. The RA algorithm allows two users, the macro cell user (CU) and small cell user (SU), to simultaneously share the same resource block. Moreover, system performance and fairness are improved by including adaptive power allocation to users over resource blocks. In the framework of RA with proportional rate constraints, a novel algorithm is designed by including the effects of pilot-aided channel estimation. The algorithm is able to distribute the same proportional rate to all CUs and SUs, even in the presence of channel estimation error. Relevant numerical results for the downlink of a two-tier HetNet with pilot-aided channel estimation show that the rate dispersion is driven to zero while the sum-rate is maximized, and the average user rate penalty with respect to a perfect-CSI scenario may rise to 20%.

Wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs) have got capacity to collect both scalar sensor data and multidimensional sensor data. It is the basis for the Internet of things (IoT). Quality of service (QoS) pointers like energy efficiency, reliability, bit error rate, and latency can be helpful in data collection estimation over a network. In this paper, we review a number of QoS strategies for WMSNs and wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in the IoT context from the perspective of the MAC and application layers as well as the cross-layer paradigm. Considering the MAC layer, since it is responsible for regulating the admittance to the shared medium and transmission reliability and efficiency through error correction in wireless transmissions, and for performance of framing, addressing, and flow control, the MAC protocol design greatly affects energy efficiency. We thus review a number of protocols here including contention-free and contention-based protocols as well as the hybrid of these. This paper also surveys a number of state-of-the-art machine-to-machine, publish/subscribe, and request/response protocols at the application layer. Cross-layer QoS strategies are very vital when it comes to system optimization. Many cross-layer strategies have been reviewed. For these QoS strategies, the challenges and opportunities are reviewed at each of the layers considered. Lastly, the future research directions for QoS strategies are discussed for research and application before concluding this paper.

To facilitate such bandwidth hungry multimedia applications and to ensure QoS (Quality of Service), Always Best Connected (ABC) network is to be selected among available heterogeneous network. The selection of the ABC network is based on certain design parameters such as cost factor, bandwidth utilization, packet delivery ratio, security, throughput, delay, packet loss ratio and call blocking probability. In this paper, all the above mentioned design parameters are considered to evaluate the performance of Always Best Connected network under heterogeneous environment for mobile users. In addition, to select Always Best Connected network in a heterogeneous environment, a novel parameter namely recent call history-‘rch' is proposed to predict the call blocking probability (Cbp) of a network.The estimation of ‘rch' parameter in terms of Cbp avoids unnecessary hand-off and enhances the effective bandwidth utilization of a cellular network under heavy load condition.A QoS mapper submodule is proposed in the QoS broker module to predict the ‘rch' parameter of a network to select an optimum network. Further, a statistcal model based on Bayesian network using the data on recent call history is applied for Cbp estimation and simulated over various heterogeneous environment condition. The simulated results show improved performance of user centric applications when compared with non-predictive methods.

The computer communication paradigm is moving towards the ubiquitous computing and Internet of Things (IoT). Small autonomous wirelessly networked devices are becoming more and more present in monitoring and automation of every human interaction with the environment, as well as in collecting various other information from the physical world. Applications, such as remote health monitoring, intelligent homes, early fire, volcano, and earthquake detection, traffic congestion prevention etc., are already present and all share the similar networking philosophy. An additional challenging for the scientific and engineering world is the appropriateness of the alike networks which are to be deployed in the inaccessible regions. These scenarios are typical in environmental and habitat monitoring and in military surveillance. Due to the environmental conditions, these networks can often only be deployed in some quasi-random way. This makes the application design challenging in the sense of coverage, connectivity, network lifetime and data dissemination. For the densely deployed networks, the random geometric graphs are often used to model the networking topology. This paper surveys some of the most important approaches and possibilities in modeling and improvement of coverage and connectivity in randomly deployed networks, with an accent on using the mobility in improving the network functionality.

Studies of software aging problems are important since they are related to QoS. Previous studies have used many methods to guarantee QoS. In this article, a recurrent self-organizing map with multi-layerperceptron is proposed to forecast resource consumption in a web server which suffered from a software aging problem. First, a resource consumption series in a web server is split into p dimensional space vectors. Second, the split series is clustered into local sets by using a recurrent self-organizing map. Last, a local prediction method called multi-layerperceptron is used to predict on each local set. The results indicated that the recurrent self-organizing map with multi-layerperceptron generates a slightly better estimation than multi-layerperceptron and autoregressive integrated moving average in the resource consumption predictions of system and application level of web server.

The effects of hardware impairments with imperfect channel estimation for cache-enabled UAV networks are studied in this paper. The effects of the setup parameters, such as the number of cached or relaying nodes, the hardware impairment factor, the channel estimation error, and the transmission SNR, on the outage probability are present by deriving the exact closed-form expressions on outage probability. Also, the asymptotic results are present when the transmission SNR is large enough. From the asymptotic analysis, we can see that there is an error floor introduced by the hardware impairments and imperfect channel estimation. Specifically, the error floor is dependent on the channel estimation error factor, the hardware impairment distortion factor, and the QoS requirements. And the diversity order of the error floor for the cached/relaying links is equal to the number of cached/relaying UAV nodes.

The widespread of wireless mobile network have increased the demand for its applications. Providing a reliable QoS in wireless medium, especially mobile ad-hoc network (MANET), is quite challenging and remains an ongoing research trend. One of the key issues of MANET is its inability to accurately predict the needed and available resources to avoid interference with already transmitting traffic flow. In this work, we propose a resource allocation and admission control (RAAC) solution. RAAC is an admission control scheme that estimates the available bandwidth needed within a network, using a robust and accurate resource estimation technique. Simulation results obtained show that our proposed scheme for MANET can efficiently estimate the available bandwidth and outperforms other existing approaches for admission control with bandwidth estimation.

Abstract. Radio propagation on wireless channels depends on many static and dynamic factors like, buildings, trees, mountains, frequency of operation, velocity of mobile stations and interfering sources. Mathematical models for channel are considered for various communication functions like, predicting radio coverage, estimation of interferences from various sources, estimating the characteristics of an alternate transmitter and receiver, achievable data rates and for determining the location for wireless infrastructure. Signal propagation in fading channels cause degradation of signal QoS. OFDM is often used to mitigate fading effects in wireless channels; the paper describes the disadvantage of OFDM and provides a wavelet based solution to surmount it. The paper also investigates the BER vs. SNR performance of modified OFDM using wavelet packet in Rayleigh and Rician Channels and the results are compared with conventional OFDM.

Nodes in wireless multi-hop networks establish links with their neighbors that are used for data transmission. In Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) working in an ad hoc model, a transmission region of mesh routers and mesh clients is heterogeneous which cause link asymmetry. The cross-layer framework was developed to handle link asymmetry problems such as unidirectional link issue, heterogeneous exposed problem and heterogeneous hidden problem. Additionally, congestion control and quality of service (QoS) requirements are required to enhance the performance of network. Hence, in this paper, the Cross Layer approach Handling Link Asymmetry (CHLA) is extended as quality-of-service aware routing (CHLA-QSAR) and quality-of-service with congestion control aware routing (CHLA-QSCCAR). QoS requirements are achieved by Signal strength estimation, network capacity estimation, MAC scheduling, Link Scheduling and Slot assignment. Congestion is controlled by a proposed bandwidth management mechanism by congestion window management dependent on the dynamic incidents of traffic conditions. Moreover, congestion avoidance mechanism is also proposed with Quality of Service with Congestion aware routing (QSCACAR). The simulation is conducted for CHLA, CHLA-QSAR, and CHLA-QSCCAR and CHLA-QSCACAR methods in terms of bit error rate, end to end delay, latency, routing overheads and throughput. The simulation results proved that each proposed work is consecutively improving the performance than CHLA.

Moreover, QoS-constraint enforced meta-heuristic approaches are considered to be excellent for determining optimal multicast tree under multicasting. An Enhanced Hybrid Pareto Metaheuritic Algorithm-based Multicast Tree Estimation Scheme (EHPMA-MTES) is contributed for reliable multicast routing. The proposed EHPMA-MTES is confirmed to reduce the cost of transmission by 28% through the minimization of the multicast tree count formed during the process of multicast routing.

An Enhanced Hybrid Pareto Metaheuritic Algorithm-based Multicast Tree Estimation Scheme (EHPMA-MTES) is contributed for reliable multicast routing. The proposed EHPMA-MTES is confirmed to reduce the cost of transmission by 28% through the minimization of the multicast tree count formed during the process of multicast routing.
